Both Lex Talionis and War Drums are some of the best fics I've ever read in my life, like they completely changed my perspective on sw and obikin, and it's honestly hard to remember after reading them, and your other fics, that "oh wait obikin *isn't* canon!?" Because your writing has made them canon to me!!! The way you wrote about the dark side, their characterization, the whole entire world building, etc is just so fascinating to me, and it's really difficult to go back to canon sw after that, because I love your interpretation specifically.

Also obviously I cannot undersell how much your F1 oneshot affected me, like seriously thank you for singlehandly changing the entire course of my life. That's what I love about your fics, you write about such an array of things with so much background research, so passionately, it's impossible to not get invested! Your references to the ROTS book, all your Greek/Latin and Classics mentions, etc, you just write with such knowledge and insight, it's so impressive to me every time!!!

OKAY SO. I love the fact that gus just taught matt illusion magic and stuff, and im wonderin if matt ever taught gus construction magic?? cause thats very silly.., BUT I literally just wanna explode cause what if he didnt and in the future gus asks him if he can teach him some magic cause he wants to make like a wolf sculpture or something for hunter and matt asks like, “bro why do you not want me to make it im the superior here” and gus is probably like “becuz i want it to be genuine and from a friend!!1!” And its weeeird because gus actually forgot to ask and NOW it was the NIGHT before hunters like birthday?? or sometimg idrk,, but matt teaches him and ut takes ALLLL NIGHT but he just about gets it right (they had many sources due to hunters wonderful infodumping,, love you hunter) and THEN matts like, “woah good job bro” and he like pats him on the back AND THEN THEY BLUSH AND GUSTHOLOMULE CAN(gunshots)

ANYWASY gus gives it to hunter and hes like “Omg YIPPIE THANK YOU!!!2!” Then puts it in his wolf area with millions of other wolf figures, and gus is like “youre welcome!! but also special thanks to (todays sponsor) mat(tholomule tholomule) !! he helped me make it :)” and its very silly cause now theyre chill and best friends JUST LIKE MATT AND AMITY ARE WHOOOOOO (explodes and yippie sound effect plays)

i could get behind it tbh, i've also had in mind Gus would get at least curious about construction magic, and since he and Matt bonded over illusions why not this too?? your idea would make for a very cute fanfic!! bonus if Hunter is still a little suspicious about Matt and he's like "fine. thanks or whatever." akjajsf i just can't get over him hating Matt's cringefail ass. Amity and Matt have more chemistry as worsties to me

plus the gustho content would be fantastic, like imagine Gus is struggling at casting a spell and Matt goes "well yeah you're doing it wrong" and holds his hand to show him how to do it and they both freeze because they're having their italicized Oh. moment AHSDAHDS
