Chapter Seven: ‘Something New’ Bridgerton Au!Anakin
Part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
a/n: i’m back 🤭 this is a lot of fluff y’all so i hope you eat it up 💪💪 it’s bit long because i sort of combined chapter 7 and chapter 8 since it made more sense for it to be in this one compared to what i have planned out. anyways that’s all i’ve got say love you all 💋💋
seven days, that’s how long you had with Anakin before the responsibilities of the world would catch up with you two. seven days then your honeymoon would be over. thankfully even though the first day was a little bit of a rough start it was what you needed to begin truly getting to know each other. and that’s exactly what you’d been doing, over the last four days you’d learned a lot about him- like his favorite color was light blue. and he wasn’t the youngest but in fact had a little sister making him the middle child, which honestly explained a lot.
you were currently taking a stroll with him in the royal garden, conversing and listening to him explain his family dynamic a bit more thoroughly. Anakin had told you how he’d purposely mess with his older brother to keep him on his toes since in his words ‘he’d be to stuck up and a complete stick in the mud’ if he wasn’t there. which prompted you to then ask what would he be now since he was here.
“that’s what my little sister is for, she looks up to me. practically a mini me but smarter” you snort a laugh at that and he smiles brighter. he truly had a pretty smile. “you sound like you adore her” you say with a soft smile and he chuckles “i do but never tell her i said that.” you quirk a brow “why not?” you ask curiously. “because she’d never let me live it down” he states a bit dramatically but completely serious and you can’t help the smile that never leaves your face only growing with each interaction.
“so Obi-Wan can never escape you then” you voice the thought out loud and Anakin laughs, everything about him you’ve been finding incredibly charming. “oh yea he’s never going to have it easy- Ahsoka is like my apprentice of mischief. star pupil” he said with a mischievous smile leaning in towards you as he speaks making you blush slightly. “only pupil” you point out and he rolls his eyes “for now.” your brows knit together in confusion “what’s that supposed to mean?”
“time will tell” he says with a shrug, you scoff and think about pressing more but decide to drop it. you’re both quiet for a moment, silently enjoying one another’s company as you continue the walk in the garden. the warm sun and floral smell from all the flowers creating the perfect bubble. it was your idea, coming on this walk- in fact you insisted he’d join you so you could show him your favorite spot. he seemed reluctant at first but you quickly realized that was just him messing with you and not how he truly felt. you felt your mind wonder back to his sister “it sounds like she cares about you as much as you do her, so how come she wasn’t at the wedding?”
“my mother was afraid she’d cause a scene- which to be fair i wouldn’t put it past her, she can be a bit….snippy and she’s not afraid to speak her mind it was just not the right time or place for that.” you let his answer hang in the air for a bit, in all honesty she sounded like a good person. a free spirit for sure but still a good person “she sounds like she’d make a good leader” you offer as a response. “i suppose” he says with a wrinkled nose, clearly not agreeing with the thought. “i personally can’t see her as much more than a bratty teen.”
“i’m sure that’s how Obi-Wan feels about you” you counter and he can’t help but laugh “well then i guess i got a taste of my own medicine” you giggle at the thought and begin to lead Anakin across the bridge. you where close to the spot you wanted to show him now, just a bit more of a walk but Anakin had stopped. when you turned to see why his footsteps ceased you where met with him looking over the bridge out across the water admiring the view of the fish swimming up the stream and the way the sun reflected across it. you take a moment to admire him first before walking back over and standing beside him to look over the stream yourself.
“i wish i could meet her, i feel like id love her” it came out soft, almost like you hadn’t fully meant to say it out loud. you could feel his eyes on you now, and then a sudden warmth on your back. his hand was pressed against the small of it, you had to fight back the way your cheeks burned at the action. “if she warmed up to you i think she’d like you as well” he says and you finally force yourself to meet his gaze. “as of right now i’m guessing she’s not to keen on me” you ask with a tilt to your head and he bites back a smile. “very much so” not surprising you did technically take away her brother.
“she’s the main reason i agreed” you blink a few times trying to process what he meant. “huh?” he pulled his hand from you and you had to fight a frown at the loss of contact as you watched him lean an elbow on the bridge railing “well i wasn’t really given a choice- but the reason i was so compliant in the matter, and i know this is selfish. was for her not my kingdom.” you mimic his actions leaning onto the bridge railing yourself as you listened to him speak carefully.
“the kingdom of Tatooine is falling, already on its last leg. i knew if i went along and everything went well then we would get the support we need from Alderaan, which would mean my sister would not have to bare witness to what would happen if we hadn’t gotten the proposal and that was the only reason i was remotely okay with everything.” you felt your heart tug at the confession, that familiar feeling of guilt resurfacing. “you’re a good brother Anakin” he smiled at the sentiment. a small silence filled the air before he spoke again.
“could you tell Obi-Wan that, he seems insistent on the fact i’m nothing but a bad influence” clearly the conversation had gotten a bit to emotional for his liking judging by how quick he was to play it off. you smile at that and pull off from the railing “well i never said you weren’t a bad influence.” you retort as you begin to walk off the bridge and continue the original intention of this walk. “ouch, you wound me” he places his hand over his heart in mock offense “honestly me a bad influence? doesn’t even begin to sound true.” he was smiling as he said it unable to take himself seriously with that statement and you can’t help but laugh “you are full of yourself.” he shrugs “i think i have every right to be” he says smugly and you can’t help but roll your eyes.
“so what does Tatooine need most?” you ask, promptly changing the question as you both round a corner, now in a much smaller section of the garden. the flowers where much more overgrown here the only clear pathway was leading to the center of some pillars. you turn to him with a smile, this was what you wanted to show him. it was your favorite place to hide when you where younger and upset. you’d stumbled across it on accident but it quickly became your favorite place.
he raised a brow but smiled regardless, taking the time to look around before following you up the path. the center of the pillars was clear just a bunch of grass. you plopped down on the ground opting to lay rather then sit after all your dress wasn’t exactly the sitting kind. he stood over you for a moment looking down and contemplating something, you weren’t sure what but you decided to just brush it off once he followed suit and laid down beside you. “what do you mean” he finally asks in response to your question. “i know our coronation isn’t for another few days but we could begin preparations now, and then once we are officially crowned we can take immediate action. so what in your opinion does Tatooine need most?” you explain, turning your head to the side to face him. tracing over his jaw with your eyes and trying to memorize each detail of his face from this angle as he thinks. it was strange how quickly you found yourself falling for him, but he made it easy and you honestly weren’t mad about it.
“the route of our problems is lack of funds. we have a high crime rate, not for lack of laws but lack of ways to in-force them.” he begins and you move your gaze back upwards, staring out at the passing clouds. “go on” this time he turned to look at you “the only jail we have is the palace dungeons, outside of that there’s nothing. and there chalk full already. we’ve thought of building more but all of the money rightfully goes towards feeding the people” he continues and you nod, turning back so you both where facing each other now. “so funds and military support would be most welcome?” you ask carefully wanting to make sure you got what he was implying.
“yes, of course food and supplies would also be a good help but with money they’d be able to buy their own” you hum a brief response before giving him an affirming nod “understood, then we have our priorities” he raises a brow, a small half smile appearing on his face “just like that?” you smile back “well we are to be king and queen, our word is law.” not entirely true, you both did have your own set of rules and regulations to follow. but overall you two where at the top, the people look to you not parliament. “i guess being a king isn’t as bad as i thought” he joked.
a comfortable silence fell once more, only this time you where staring at each other when it happened. you hadn’t realized just how close he’d laid next to you until now, his entire body pressed against your side. faces only inches apart, if you moved any closer you’d kiss. the thought made your stomach erupt with butterflies, it wouldn’t be your first kiss since technically that happened on your wedding day. however it was different then than now. now it was you wanting to kiss him and not a requirement, you felt uneasy. not use to this type of thing, you force yourself to break the eye contact looking back up to the sky before starting a conversation for a distraction.
“tell me more about Tatooine- the good parts what’s it like there?” you ask him and he laughs.“Tatooine has very few good things in my opinion- for starters we’re a desert kingdom, which means there’s sand for days.” he says annoyed and you turn your attention back to him with a raised brow “not a fan of sand?” you ask and bite back a laugh. “i hate it. it’s course and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.” you couldn’t hold the laughter in anymore especially with how serious he meant it, brows furrowed like he was cursing the sand in his mind. “well remind me to never take you to a beach” you say in between giggles, it was his turn to roll his eyes at you as you kept laughing. “there is one thing that i love about Tatooine- aside from my family” his sentence pulls you back and you force yourself to calm down. “what’s that?” he relaxes more once you ask and smiles as he speaks “the races.”
“races?” he nods and begins to explain “we have horse races, i was a rider- against my mother and fathers wishes but they never exactly stopped me either. it’s not like i took place in the gambling side of things, i just like the adrenaline of it.” you watched as he spoke with the enthusiasm of a small child. it was cute and his eyes sparkled “have you ever won?” you wonder out loud. “oh yea just about every time i’ve raced, ill miss it” he says rather solemnly and that made your heart ache.
“what if we introduced the races to Alderaan? it seems like a harmless enough tradition” you spoke before really thinking and he snapped straight up like you’d just told him the best news in the world before he quickly shut himself down not sure if you where being serious. “honestly?” he presses needing confirmation before he allowed himself to be to excited. “why not, it could be fun a way to unite our kingdoms- people from Tatooine can come here to compete and vice versa.”
he’d kissed you then. it was gentle but passionate, a smile on his face the whole time. it made your head spin, face burn but you liked that and when he pulled away you did your best to act unaffected not quite ready to express yourself.
The next two days with Anakin where just as sweet, you both where getting along great. opening up about any thought that came to mind. it was wonderful and then something changed.
you weren’t sure what caused it but he was acting different today. more shut off and distant, it hurt. this was the last day of your honeymoon and somehow you’d messed it up without even realizing. all day he’d been brushing you off and keeping as much physical distance as possible, your head was spinning trying to find where you’d gone wrong. each conversation you’ve had with him running on repeat looking for even the smallest inkling that you’d crossed a boundary of sorts but you kept coming up empty. you tried asking him what was wrong as well wanting to just rip off the bandaid but he simply said nothing was wrong.
talk about emotional whiplash, if nothing was wrong why was he acting this way. why would he not even let you get near him. you’d let him be alone for about an hour before you couldn’t take the pit of anxiety anymore and decided to face him once more. This time you weren’t going to stop asking him until you got an answer, so you made quick work to hunt him down. which was surprisingly easy compared to the last time he’d disappeared. you found him struggling to walk up the stairs, you where quick to rush up to him not even giving him a chance to process it was you who now stood beside him. “Anakin what happened?” you ask concerned reaching out to help him but he moves away from your touch. “i’m fine” he says curtly and you’re taken aback briefly but recover “are you confident in that fact because-“
“i said i’m fine!” he shouts and you go silent letting your arms fall to your side as you begin to pull back, feeling yourself mentally shutting down. you see a look of regret on his face when he finally looks at you, as well as a sheen of sweat on his forehead. actually now that you got a better look at him he was pale, sickly so. he took a deep bated breath before proceeding up the stairs.
“i mean it i’m fine.” you scoff at him before following behind, he was heading in the direction of his room and you where going to make sure he got there safely. “could you just leave me be” you roll your eyes and cross your arms “i’m not going anywhere Anakin so would you just let me help yo-” you watch as he began to fall backwards, in a panic you do your best to catch him only to realize just how heavy he was the second his weight hit your arms and you fall down with him.
he was out cold, you on the other hand where now stuck underneath him. at least you’d broken his fall.
you wring out a wet cloth before placing it on his head that rested in your lap. you had gotten the attention of your guards and made them carry him to his room as you got a hold of the royal physician. that was two hours ago, now he was resting much more peacefully after he’d been woken up to take some medicine to help fight a fever. The Flu was what the physician said it was, and he’d insisted you not be in the room with Anakin in fear you might get it as well. as if that would stop you, he was sick and you wanted- needed to make sure he was okay. if you got sick in the process then oh well.
you watch over him carefully, running your fingers through his damp sweaty curls. what irked you about all of this was that he said nothing, suffered in silence instead of asking for your help. you thought you guys where finally getting somewhere. finally trusting one another- liking one another, learning to love one another and then he does this. ignores you, pushes you away when he needs you most. you see his eyes twitch and your mind goes blank, waiting patiently to see if he’d finally fully wake up. at least enough to have a conscious conversation.
soon enough his eyes do flutter open, looking around himself briefly to process his surrondings before looking at you. “you said you where fine” was the first thing out of your mouth a frown gracing your features and he had the audacity to smirk. “i was” he huffed, and you had to fight the urge to flick his head. “i’d believe you if you hadn’t passed out right after you said it” he remained silent after that statement and so did you. upset with his actions and not wanting to make a scene while he was sick you figured it best to just quit speaking entirely.
“why are you doing this” you raise a brow and he sighs knowing what you where going to ask “caring for me i mean” you feel your nose scrunch up, what a stupid question in your opinion. “I am your wife, it is my job” he closed his eyes at that “i didn’t think that applied to us” he said simply. “what?” your brows knit together “the duties of a married couple” he adds. it triggered you a bit, why would he think you wouldn’t want to help him. “you’re sick, was i just supposed to stand to the side and watch you suffer?” he opens his eyes and shrugs. “the vows i said may have been empty when i made them but i still made them nonetheless and i for one keep my promises.”
“so you’re only doing this out of obligation?” he asks and you frown “no-” he shifts slightly so that his head is more propped up on your thigh, closing his eyes and letting out a soft groan like it physically pained him to move. “then why? because you like me?” he smiles as he asks- unbelievable he could not possibly have the energy to be teasing you right now. “i’m doing this as your wife and nothing more” you say but it’s clear you aren’t being entirely truthful with that statement and you can tell by the look he gives you he’s not buying it.
“i think you just don’t want to confess you like me” he chuckles but quickly regrets it, closing his eyes again in pain. “if i did i would tell you” you say and begin to run your fingers through his hair again and watch as he relaxes. “well make sure you shout it” he mumbles. “i’m sorry?” he opens his eyes again, scanning over your face before answering “when you tell me you like me, shout it so i can hear you and know you mean it.”
“you’re delusional” you huff but can’t hide your smile and he’s quick to mirror you. “that’s probably the fever” he says with a shrug before allowing himself to doze back off to sleep in your lap.

It had been seventy-two standard rotations since Order 66.
It had been seventy-two standard rotations since the fall of the Republic.
It had been seventy-two standard rotations since the rise of the Empire.
It had been seventy-two standard rotations since the massacre of the Jedi.
And, it had been seventy-two standard rotations since Obi-Wan’s family died.
He stared out at the lifeless sands of Tatooine, as he often did. Each breath he took was heavy and rasping against the abrasive, sandpaper-like feeling of the inside of his throat. Every sip of water did nothing to quench his thirst and pain.
Instead of the empty desert he saw the rolling rivers of lava, the tears falling from burning orange eyes, the sight of fire eating away at flesh. The scent of burning skin and hot, thick air choked him as he sat, suffocating him in the last memory of his brother. The words that his brother had wailed, driving a knife through him and twisting over and over and over, sinking deep into his blood like acid.
Obi-Wan placed his hands in the sand in front of him, splaying out his fingers and feeling the grains fill the gaps between his appendages. He attempted feebly to ground himself in the tan earth, but all he could hear was Anakin’s final screams. The hot air of Tatooine taunted him as a reminder of Mustafar.
Thoughts of Anakin always led to thoughts of Ahsoka. Oh, Ahsoka. So young, somewhere far away near Mandalore, lifeless. The absence of knowledge of what happened to the Togruta led to endless, haunting scenarios of her death.
Most of the time she was on the ship, just leaving Mandalore, and Rex had appeared behind her, pistols aimed at her head. She’d had one moment to turn and see his face, mumbling a weak; “Rex…?”, before the Clone emotionlessly blasted her in the head, leaving nothing but the mutilated corpse of a teenager behind.
Obi-Wan had had plenty of time to meditate - not with the Force, no, he’d pushed that away - and yet he could never convince himself of one, inevitable truth. It’s all my fault.
He thought of Qui-Gon, and how if only Obi-Wan had been trapped behind the rayshield all those years ago, maybe the Jedi would still be alive. If only he’d been impaled by Maul, then maybe Qui-Gon training Anakin would have steered the brunet away from the call of the dark side. He’d never quite forgiven himself for watching the light fade from his Master’s eyes, and this only made it worse.
He couldn’t even find it in him to feel betrayed by Anakin. Instead, he felt as though he’d betrayed him. After all, it was his fault. His training had failed Anakin. He’d failed Anakin. No amount of meditation would ever change that.
Nor could he blame Anakin. Instead he blamed himself. He thought of Ahsoka’s crippled, cold, dead body. His fault. He thought of the Younglings in the Temple, some not even old enough to walk. His fault. He thought of Aayla Secura, of Kit Fisto, of Ki-Adi Mundi. His fault. His fault. His fault.
Thousands of Jedi, dead, because he couldn’t teach one small boy what thousands of others lived by.
Yes, everything was his fault.
He longed for the days, early on in the war, when the three of them were on Coruscant. His family, safe, unscathed, happy. He thought of Ahsoka in the Room of a Thousand Fountains, her hands in the water as she watched the fish swim against her fingers, the way she’d giggled and laughed. He thought of Anakin, leaning against a tree trunk, finally content during their break from all the fighting, breathing so deeply Obi-Wan wondered momentarily if he was asleep.
He thought of all the other Jedi - many he’d never even met before - happily living their lives before the war. He thought of Younglings, huddling together in big groups to talk and running around corners, tumbling over their own feet before bouncing back up. He thought of Padawans hosting huge games of hide and seek, and tag in the Temple’s many rooms. He thought of young Knights, training together and helping each other through forms. He thought of Masters, discussing their Padawans’ journeys and looking after them.
He thought of home.
Oh, did he miss it.
He longed for the days when Anakin was young where they’d play holochess and discuss tactics, or when they’d explore different planets. He remembered one time when Anakin had found a plant he considered the most beautiful thing ever, and insisted on taking it back with them to the Temple. He remembered even at the end of the war, spotting the blossoming, colourful flowers in the Knight’s room.
Obi-Wan wished he could have met Ahsoka before the war, when life was easier, happier, better. He had similar times with Ahsoka, though a lot fewer. He thought of times where he’d found Ahsoka reading, and spent afternoons listening to her thoughts on the literature. He remembered how happy she was when learning, when training.
Obi-Wan felt a lot of hiraeth for his home that once was. He knew now that he could never return to that home, and all he could do was hope that one day, he’d find a new home.
He glanced to the side, spotting the little curved top of Owen and Beru’s farm, where little Luke Skywalker was somewhere inside. He smiled softly, anchoring himself against the tidal wave of memories to the thought of his brother’s child.
He’d do his best to ensure that Luke got his home, some place where he belonged. Obi-Wan wished he could show Luke the Temple, alive and warm with Jedi. But the Jedi were gone, and this was the new life for Force sensitive children - hidden, frightened, cursed.
He thought of Anakin and Ahsoka, side by side, laughing.
Yes, that was how he’d remember his family - the family he longed for, the family he harboured such deep, raw, hiraeth for. One day, he’d join them in another life. For now, he would make sure Luke found his home, his hiraeth.
A/N: So, yeah, I apologise, for that, but also, don't regret it. I hope you enjoyed though, and please send requests + leave comments!!! I love you all <3, stay safe.

CodyWan Week Day 4!
Honestly, I keep questioning what day I'm supposed to be posting because I'm putting it up on my ao3 at like midnight and either waiting til morning to post it here or I'm doing it minutes after posting it..
Prompts! @codywanweek
Force sensitive Cody/"This Isn't What I Signed Up For"/Secret Relationship, except I made a twist of my own. It's Pada-Wan x Padawan Cody. Because, frankly, I am obsessed with Pada-Wan aus, and it may be a problem, but that is not a problem right now as it's 0050(12:50am) and I'm running on a coffee flavoured protein shake I had at 1700(5:00pm)
Onto the reading!
When Cody was made, it was no normal.. making. Cloning. He was a clone. He had a number. He was a number. Just- Just a number.
That was until Shaak Ti revealed he had been specifically chosen, his DNA specially (and expensively) modified. He would grow at a normal rate after he hit 10 years old, physically around 20. Which was fine, well, he would live to see his brothers die but-
He was different.
Different in the way that- Well, he was a force-sensitive.
The only one of all of his brothers.
So when he reached age, he was told of this secret. He was sent off to the Jedi Temple. No one knew how this specific age growth would work, no one knew if his body would react to it well, no one even knew if he was actually a force-sensitive.
But if one person believed in him more than Shaak Ti, it was Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Obi-Wan was a senior Padawan at the crisp age of 19 when Cody entered the Temple for the first time. He was only physically a year younger than him, but still was learning and growing. Obi-Wan couldn't help but take a liking to him- He taught him what Shaak Ti wouldn't, allowing him to excel in the Force quickly. After all, this was war.
Their first meeting was.. nice, you could say.
"Ah, hello there!" Obi-Wan says, double-taking as he desperately tries to keep up with his Master's long strides. He was supposed to be greeting the new Padawan of Shaak Ti's, but of course his Master had other plans. He'll catch up with him later.
"Hello," The newcomer says, curiously watching as Obi-Wan almost calls for Anakin before the Knight disappears around a corner, and he sighs.
"You're Cody, correct? Shaak Ti's new Padawan?" Obi-Wan smiles, pushing his long hair back. The Council insisted it wasn't tradition, Anakin insisted it looked better.
"Correct," Cody repeats. "And, you?.."
"Obi-Wan Kenobi, pleasure to meet you," The Jedi shake hands, normally a bow was customary, but Cody.. was no normal Jedi, he had much to learn, and Obi-Wan thought it easier to ease him into it. He was quite nice looking, vibrant, dark skin with short, pitch-black curls. He found himself staring for a moment too much, quickly adjusting his posture and attitude, clearing his throat. Cody looks away, cringing when Obi-Wan chuckles quietly at the flush on his face. He had been staring too.
Oh well, that was a situation Obi-Wan didn't mind at all.
"I'll show you to your quarters, then around the Temple, then maybe I can take you to my quarters for a cup of tea. I'd love to get to know you, I hear we'll be working together very soon," Obi-Wan smiles as they beginning walking through the Temple, repeating what Anakin had told him to tell Cody.
"Uh.. Okay," Cody speaks carefully. Obi-Wan just smiles at him reassuringly.
It had been a year since then- Cody had grown, physically and in the Force. He finally reached the age where he'd grow at a normal rate, now he and Obi-Wan were physically the same age. And he liked that. Shaak Ti had trained him long before coming to the Temple, but she still thought the experience would help him adjust better.
And adjust better he did, mostly thanks to Obi-Wan and his very outgoing Master. Obi-Wan was always not far behind Master Skywalker, who was always running into a battle or a trap. He insisted he only followed because, well, Master Skywalker is his Master, and he's gotta be there most times, he is the Teacher- And in this war, there was less teaching from Anakin and more "Do as I do, you'll learn."
That of course led to Obi-Wan and Cody studying aboard their ship in their free time.
"Now that is just plain wrong," Obi-Wan sneers as he looks at the holopad, which was the debrief Anakin had given at the battle of Geonosis. "He either lied straight to the Council or they all decided they wouldn't include the fact that my Master was the one to get into the situation first. Unbelievable."
Cody chuckles quietly at Obi-Wan's frustration. They're sitting on the ginger's bed, leaning against the wall sitting close together, but ready to move if someone were to walk in on their canoodling.
And canoodle was what Cody wanted.
"Take a break from the debriefs," Cody finally replies back, moving the 'pad from Obi-Wan's hands and tossing it to the end of the bed. "I'm right here anyway."
"Oh, because you're not a bore on the eyes," Obi-Wan deadpans, lifting Cody's chin slightly. He only rolls his eyes and kisses the teasing Padawan, turning his body to not strain as much.
He practically melted as Obi-Wan pulled him onto his lap, holding him gently. His hands were rough but gentle to the touch as they kissed.
They rarely got these chances. Forever busy, as they would (forever) say. So the couple savoured the moments, drew them out as long as they could last, never moving too fast or too slow for the other.
Of course, moments were just moments.
A knock rang at the door and Cody removed himself from Obi, quick to lay on the bed at an appropriate distance, on his stomach as he looked at the holopad again.
"Come in!" Obi-Wan answers. An Admiral opens the door and begins speaking to Obi-Wan, explaining a request of Anakin's. Neither of them knew this relationship would.. evolve so much. And Cody definitely didn't like the fact that it was forbidden.
But, Cody just smiled to himself as he - pretended to - read the holopad, knowing fully well Obi-Wan would be craving for him all day once he leaves to speak with Anakin.

Elysium
“Elysium”
The Naberrie lake house was an idyllic place to raise a family. A hidden gem surrounded by water and magnificent plants and trees, in a remote village of the beautiful Naboo. Obi-Wan Kenobi found himself in peace as it happened each time he went there. He felt home and he was blessed to know that the Naberrie family was safe, happy and…
PUM!!
“LEIA!!!”
A realm of chaos too.
“ANAKIN! Just stop teaching our daughter how to built a ship in her room for God’s sake!!!!”, screamed Padme Amidala Naberrie from the spot in the garden where she was painting calmly along Luke.
Obi-Wan smiled to himself. Even if they had changed names to not catch too much unwanted attention, it was pretty obvious that Luke and Leia Naberrie were Anakin’s children. Stong, chaotic, passionate, fascinating and.. a mess.
He walked to the spot where Padme was teaching Luke how to paint when both of them realised he was there. Luke knew first. He could feel the Force strongly and he always knew when Obi-Wan was close by.
“Uncle Ben”, said Luke happily as he ran to his open arms.
He caught the kid in his arms and hugged him. Then, he looked at his 5 years old face. He looked exactly as Anakin as a child. Fortunately, he seemed more quiet, more similar to her mother in that way. And it seemed, he also learnt a bit from himself. He was indeed his uncle and he visited them every week, sometimes, he even stayed for months.
“Master Kenobi”, said Padme with her serious voice. Then, she laughed and Obi-Wan looked at her in awe. She looked so much young than those terrible years of war and fights.
Sometimes Obi-Wan forgot how very young those two have been. Anakin was only 23 when he had to fight against Palpatine. His padawan, his little brother fought with all his strenght saving everyone that day. Anakin Skywalker was only 23 when he ended the sith and brought the light to the galaxy. And Padme Amidala was only 27 when she gave birth just after defending herself from some clones that tried to attack her. How she managed to do that while in pain, only God knows.
The thing was that Anakin grow old quickly after that day. He looked ten year older than his wife. He lost a lot of life energy saving the galaxy from the sith, indeed he almost died. He still remembers Master Yoda bringing Anaking to life in his own trembling arms. He had been in shock, unable to help his brother after seeing him kill Palpatine, he had thought his padawan, his dear brother was dead. But he wasn’t.
God, he was blessed that day and everyday afterwards.
“Milady”, Obi-Wan bowed at her.
She hugged him as she continued laughing.
Luke didn’t let go of his arms.
Nor that he was thinking of letting go of him anytime soon.
He adored Luke so much.
Padme sat again on the soft grass, caressing her long hair and staring at the lake.
“How long are you gonna stay?”, she asked as she continued painting, “Luke, aren’t you going to show uncle Ben what you painted for him, my darling?
“You painted something for me?”, he asked to Luke.
“Of course I did”, he answered just as Anakin used to do.
Padme laughed again and he put the boy in her arms. He kneeled in front of Luke’s painting.
It was his lightsaber and Anakin’s , side by side.
He smiled.
“You’re so good, my boy”, he smiled to Luke, “ You paint so much better than your father used to when he was a child, you know?”
“Its’ for you, Ben”, said Luke, a bit sleepy.
Padme caressed Luke’s hair until the little child fell asleep.
“He’s in Leia’s room”, she said smiling
He bowed at her one last time
“Oh come’on, go to him, you know you’re dying to see him and so is he”, she smiled sweetly at him.
……………………………
Anakin Skywalker, or Anakin Naberrie these days, have lost more than a few years of youth fighting against Palpatine. He lost the feeling of both his legs, so his young brother had to live in a weelchair for the rest of his days. It seemed it didn’t make him angry, just a bit nostalgic about his time as a warrior and pilot.
Obi-Wan regreted it everyday. If he could exchange their places, he would. He would give his last breath so Anakin could breath a second longer. He would give him his legs and his whole body if he ever needed one.
“Anakin”, he said knocking slightly at Leia’s door.
Leia and Anakin were… doing some sort of dance with their arms. Rap or something like that.
“Ts… Ts.. You are the star and I’m just a peasant.. Ts.. ts..”, sang Anakin as Leia danced along his father, both of them sitting on the floor.
“It seems to me you’re unable to build your daughter’s new bed, aren’t you?”, he teased his student.
Anakin looked at him, smiling funny with shiny blue eyes. “Ocean eyes” had once said Padme, the same eyes Luke and Leia inherited.
“Master”
“Padawan”
They both looked at each other. Then, they bursted into laughing. He went to Anakin and hugged him tightly, he kissed his head and he caressed the golden, a bit grey, long hair of his brother.
“How are you doing? Want some help?”, he asked as he sat beside him.
Leia ran to his arms then, hugging him and whispering how much they have missed him.
“You think you can do a child bed with.. the shape of a royal ship, old man?”, asked Anakin as he looked confused at some instructions.
“I think you’re looking at them.. upside down, daddy”
Obi-Wan laughed hard and Leia smiled at them.
Anakin sighed, laying down with his eyes closed.
“Who do you think build your bed when you were a child, brother?”, he asked Anakin as he took some pieces of the bed and started to glue some of them.
“I had a bed with ship form as a child?”, asked Anakin.
Sometimes he reminded him of a puppy. Innocent, naive and childish. And he loves him so much. More than anything else in the galaxy, along with his children.
“Of course you did. Your whole room was like a ship. Your ceiling full of stars and distant planets. The room of a true pilot. I built it of course. I wasn’t gonna ask Mace or Yoda. They would say it’s attachment. Not that they think that way anymore”, he said smiling at Anakin and Leia who stared at him as they usually did when he started to tell a story, “It amazes me, though, that the best pilot in the entire galaxy can’t build a bed”
“It’s not so easy, master!”, said Anakin as Leia decided to sit on his chest.
Obi-Wan looked at them. Leia looked exactly as Padme although her character was… in the middle. Also, she inherited from her mother….
“I’m gonna continue doing my budget for the extraordinary session for my planet”, said the little girl as she got up.
Anakin and him stared at each other in shock.
“Your what?”, asked Anakin
“My budget for my planet. Daddy, don’t you know what a budget is?? Its..”
“Don’t look at me like that Obi, the one obsessed with politics is her mother, not me”, said Anakin as he shook his head, “Not only one politician in my house, but two. My luck”
“It could be worse”, he said as he saw Leia writing down her “speech” as she vocalised each word carefully. She saw them looking at ther, so she got up and went to other room, chanting her speech.
“Amazing”, said Obiwan as he looked still at where she had been just a moment ago
“You enjoy that my children and wife torture me, Obiwan. You’re enjoying it too much”
“Do I need to remind you that I raised you?”, he asked laughing at Anakin, “ Once, you literally, blew a ship when you were 10. I was so scared you had hurt yourself that it took me several minutes to realise you were standing there like a king, smiling because you haven blown a royal ship. Which cost me..”
“I know, I know..”
“And there was another time you…”
“I get it, Obi-Wan, I get it”, said Anakin as he crawled to lay next to Obi-wan, the young man put his head on his lap as he used to do as a child and teenager, “I missed it. I miss flying”
“I know, dear heart”, he said as he looked at his brother’s face. “But what if I told you… I changed a few things in my ship so you can pilot it safely?”
Anakin almost jumped at that.
“You didn’t!!!!!”, shouted Anakin as his eyes shone with happiness.
“I did”, he repeated as he continued building Leia’s new bed.
“PADS!!!!! KIDSSSSS”!!!!! LOOK AT WHAT OBI DID!!!!”
Obi-wan laughed as the whole family reunited in the room, yelling with happiness as he told them how he changed his ship so it could be anakin’s ship.
After a while, Padme went away to help her maids to make dinner. While Anakin and Obi-Wan continued building Leia’s bed.
Obviously, both ended up falling asleep.
When Padme went to look for them, she didn’t have the heart to wake them up, so she took a picture of both of them sleeping, smiling.
Master and padawan

Clone-centric Star Wars Fic Recs
Includes both Clone Wars and Bad Batch.
Stories marked with * include the clones using Mando'a and/or the clones having adopted Mando culture.
and the Force is with me by sauntering_down | 7.9k | oneshot
Rex, Cut Lawquane, Suu Lawquane
Summary:
When he opens his eyes, Cut is watching him steadily, fingers still locked around Rex’s wrist. “Interesting mantra,” he says. “Where’d you pick that up?”
Warnings: Graphic description of corpses, panic attacks, PTSD
(Rex deserves to be able to let himself process the fallout of Order 66 and this story lets him have that.)
Twilight on Owl Creek Bridge by yellow_caballero | 33k | oneshot
Fox, Leia Organa, Sheev Palpatine
Summary:
SUBJECT: Regarding Senate Guard Objectives For Today
This is a polite reminder to all guardsmen that patrol schedules for the Senate vote ratifying dictatorships are posted in the breakroom. I am also issuing a warning to linear time that days should follow sequentially and are not intended to repeat. Please cease repeating. I am getting a headache.
Additionally, I'd like to remind all guardsmen that it is illegal to harbor invisible women in the Senate. If you see a ghost claiming to be Leia Organa, please remove her from the premises. She will be making a scene.
Thank you for your cooperation in preserving the peace of the Republic, and all hail the Empire.
FOX
(Kind of time travel, kind of unstuck in time, both Fox and Leia are in for a not-so-great time)
An Hourglass in Hand by ecarian | 77.5k | multichapter | completed
Cody/Obi-Wan, Anakin, Rex, Ahsoka
Summary:
“I thought daemons didn’t eat,” Rex noted once, during a celebration feast, as he and Cody watched Boga devour her meal with some fascination. Varactyl she may be, but she was a tiny one. There wasn't much interior space for the truly momentous amount of meat she was ripping into.
Boga daintily rubbed her beak against a folded serviette that looked kind of like a bird, and said, prim, “I can do anything a human can do.”
“Oh?” Obi-Wan said mildly, from where he’d been tapping at a datapad. “Shall I save you a portion of these reports then?”
Warnings: Temporary character death
(The daemon-AU of my dreams. Cody is wonderfully snarky and there's just something so fun and satisfying about the writing style. I started reading this and couldn't stop.)
The Barking of Birds by Trixree | 1.2k | oneshot
Hound, Fox, Hound the bird
Summary:
When they finally catch up to this latest branch of the illegal exotic animal trade, they do so in a dingy warehouse nestled deep within the Lowers. It’s the cliche of all cliches.
What Hound couldn’t have predicted is the bird.
(Fox gets a foul-mouth parrot. Hound suffers for it.)
the keyring crown by littlekaracan | 39.5k | multichapter
Cody/Obi-Wan, Rex, Fox
Summary:
“You forget I’m not a Jedi.” Cody smiled to him, but even he heard the note of bitterness in his own voice. He was not like Obi-Wan – perhaps his brothers learned these things, but Cody hardly knew where even to begin. Hardly believed the plant, however determined, would last long in his care. “I don’t have the same…” He gestured, a little vaguely, somewhere in Obi-Wan’s direction. “…Growing tricks that you do.”
“There are no Jedi tricks involved in that sort of thing,” Obi-Wan said, voice well and truly soft now as his gaze rose from his mug to Cody. “It is not the cosmos which cultivates, at least for the most part.” He reached, gently, to close his fingers over Cody’s which were still wrapped around his mug. “It’s just your hands and your dedication.” He leaned in just a little bit, watching him - close and quiet. “And I know, darling, just how dedicated you can be.”
Warning: Panic attacks, aftermath of mind control
(The war is over and Cody is learning to live in the aftermath.)
*Art of War by Moxibustion (RyuuzaKochou) | 72.8k | multichapter
Echo, Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair, Rex, Fox (Fives in absentia)
Summary:
Echo had never had any particular talents. He'd never sought to be special, never tried to break the mould. He'd never aspired to be anything more than a clockwork soldier, watching his far more brilliant brothers rise up above him. He'd never expected to wake up one day and find out that he was, in fact, the last of them.
Funny old galaxy, really.
Now he was in the Bad Batch and one thing he was rapidly beginning to understand is this: in a galaxy filled with combat engineers, the Bad Batch are artists. Echo had never really known much about art. At least... that's what he'd always thought. New body, new squad - maybe it was time to look at things in a whole new way.
A story about art, war, coping, hanging on, letting go, restoration, reforging, plotting in a brig, military intelligence isn't, Wrecker's diplomacy doesn't, cooking, the thin line between genius and madness, starting over, struggling with loss, team bonding, art therapy, guerilla knitting therapy, big boom therapy, shaking down shinies for fun and profit, guilt, rage, forgiveness, waging war by fitting in…
... and making your peace with standing out.
Warnings: Injury recovery, grief and mourning, PTSD
(Echo finds his place in the Bad Batch and comes to terms with never being able to go back to who he used to be.)
*their days are darker by always_a_slut_for_hc | 23.4k | multichapter
Wolffe, Fox, Cody, Bly
Summary:
After the death of ARC Trooper Fives, an altercation at 79's leads Wolffe to spend his leave snooping around the Coruscant Guard. Fox assumes he'll drop it and leave the Corries to their fate; it's what everyone else has done.
He is very, very wrong.
Warnings: Dehumanization, gaslighting
(The other Commanders finally learn what the Corries have been going through and it's not pretty.)
Dielectric Breakdown by Jessepinwheel | 65.4k | multichapter
Cody, Rex, Fox, Echo, Obi-Wan
Summary:
Cody had always believed the best of his General--strong, steadfast, and loyal. That is, until Obi-Wan suddenly assassinated the Supreme Chancellor and vanished without a trace, leaving the Republic scrambling in the fallout.
Five years later, Cody is still trying to pick up the pieces and understand why Obi-Wan betrayed them all.
(Cody doesn't know why the war ended the way it did and he can't let it go, despite the objections of his brothers.)
*Love Each Other With Abandon by Elthadriel | 25k | oneshot
Cody, Rex, Fox, Wolffe, Obi-Wan
Summary:
Cody tries to navigate his way through what might be the most awkward crush he could possibly have developed. Fortunately, his brothers are there to provide emotional support
Or, at the very least, provide amused commentary.
(The sibling dynamics in this story are perfect.)
*The Legend of Liob by Killbothtwins | 19k | oneshot
Cody, Waxer, Boil, Obi-Wan
Summary:
The Republic sends a combat photographer to be attached to the 212th until further notice, citing the need for a morale boost. The clones make up a fake clone, citing the absolute fact that it is very funny.
Somehow, these two things save the galaxy.
(Or show a fake clone brings down a Sith Lord.)
*sunshine and the shade of poetry by Petrichor (Mythmaker) | 33.2k | multichapter
Cody, Rex, Wolffe, Bly, Obi-Wan
Summary:
"Sorry sir, but I don't think we've met," Cody said, turning up the friendly customer service representative levels by two points.
To his delight, there wasn't really any visible change in his general's expression. "Have I neglected to leave an impression on you over the last several years?"
"I'm not sure you want an honest answer to that question, sir."
=====
The war comes to an abrupt end, and everyone around him begins the long road to recovery and discovery. Cody, on the other hand, just needs to find a new job.
Unfortunately, he has no idea what to do next.
(Cody's just trying to get by, convinced that he doesn't need or want a higher calling. He's disabused of this notion.)

<Roses >
Anakin x (gn)reader (implied Obi-wan x reader) AU
Inspired by 'Roses' by Awaken I am (Or I stole two(maybe three??) lines from the song)
Genre : Angst/hurt-ish (no comfort in this so buckle up folks)
Warnings : Reader and Ani started dating as teenagers! also my first fic and not proof read so proceed with caution or whatever, Oh and Qui-gonn is not dead here and Ahsoka is his padawan. Written in first person. I am not a native speaker.
Readers gender isn't mentioned, however idk if I used any pronouns or something that might gender them in any way so I won't tag them as gender neutral. (While writing I thought of a female reader since I am a woman myself, I intended to keep them gn tho. I hope I succeeded)
Wordcount : 1.2k
Anakin and reader have been in a relationship for as long as reader can remember. It has always been comforting but they find themself confronted with the realization that they only loved the Idea of being happy with someone else.
<begins under the cut>
"Is this fair? I feel that we're close to the end."
"Roses don't know that they're dead."
Whenever I closed my eyes it wasn't him I saw. It was nothing new really, at some point I got used to it the same way I got used to sleeping in his arms, to kissing him. I got used to sleeping with him. But I never got used to him. I never got used to Anakin. I loved him. I truly did. But I didn't crave him, I didn't ache for him. When he was near I was content, I felt safe but I was bored. He was funny and smart and sassy and charismatic and chaotic and I loved him. I know he loved me. It just all became so complicated. We went down the wrong path together.
I don't even remember how we became a couple, we've always been friends. At some point we just happened to be more. No questions asked, no answers given. We just were more and I knew He's always loved padmé. Just as I knee that I've never loved him and he’s never loved me. Not like that. We shouldn't be more than friends. We never should have become more than friends. Now we're so deep into this, I feel we're close to the end. I fear we won't get out of this alright.
So here I am. In my Boyfriends arms. We've been sleeping like this for years now. I don't know how many. And I am thinking about someone else I know I really shouldn't. Not because I'm in a relationship. No, I know Anakin's thoughts are with padmé too. He says her name in his sleep. I shouldn't think about him because he is like a brother to my boyfriend. He is my mentor. He has raised Anakin and He has trained us for 5 years now. I still can remember the first time I saw him, like the day I lost my home. It's vivid. When I close my eyes it's all I dream about and I'm scared I might say his name in my sleep, like Anakin does with padmé.
As Anakin's friend I want him to let go of whatever is keeping him here. I want him to leave me and court the woman he truly desires, As his girlfriend who his in love with someone else I want him to leave so he doesn't get hurt but As myself and myself only, no roles attached, I need him. I need him. He was there for me when I lost my home and He held my hand and told me about his mother. He told me about padmé and of course He told about him. Then he had asked me if I wanted to come with him. He'd hide me. He had promised. But the force had other things in mind for me and so, I met him too. Back then I was scared and I was weak so Anakin told me he was scared too. He held me during the night. He showed me tricks, he helped me train when I failed. He understood me. But now he doesn't. Or maybe he does.
We were so young. I was only 14. He was 16. Now I feel like what we had never exceeded friendship in the direction that we took. He knows. I know. And I know that he knows that I know. I remember my 16 birthday. We were so unsure. We needed love. We needed affection. Now we don't even kiss anymore. We haven't kissed in ages. I hope we never do. I wish we never did.
Lately I've been training alone. I've been eating alone. I've been trying to ignore him. I've been trying to find a way out of this. Anakin and I are so familiar. I can't lose him. But it can't stay like this. So I've asked him if I could train with Master Qui-Gonn Jinn and Ahsoka instead. He was fine with it. He had asked me why, but I just told him I'd just like experience outside of my fights side by side with him and Obiwan.
I turn around. Away from Anakin. Eyes wide open, I can't see him now. I should just keep my eyes open forever. I can’t be haunted by the picture of Obiwan if I keep my eyes open.
"Y/n?" Anakin’s voice is soft. Quiet. So I turn onto my back, staring into darkness. I hum.
"Do you... do you ever feel like we're fading?"
"Like what we have is fading? Or like you and I, as people, are fading?" I hear bedsheets move.
"I love you.-"
"I know."
"- But I feel like what we have is fading. Like we shouldn't have this."
"I know."
"I can't lose you."
"I can't lose you either, Ani."
"You won't." I feel him sit up. "But maybe- maybe we shouldn't keep doing this."
"We aren't really doing anything anymore. We never got together, we don't have to break up." I want him to leave. I want him to stay.
"Right."
"Do you want to? Breaking up would feel like acknowledging that… that we went down a wrong path when we were young." I reach for him. He isn't there.
"Ani?" Now I feel his hand taking mine.
"I wish we never did what we did on your 16th birthday."
"Me too."
We stay silent after that. I don't feel him lay down again but time passes and I start to wonder what's going on inside his head. No, I think I know.
"What about Padmé?"
"What about her?"
"Well do you still love her?"
"I am sorry."
"Ani c‘mon. I know. Always did." I force out a chuckle.
I don't know how this is going to end. I can't imagine not being this intimately comfortable with him. I can't imagine being strangers either. Whatever we do, we'll always see each other. We'll always remember that we were partners once. We'll always dread meeting each others new partners. We'll always feel like we have to prove to each other that we can stop this. That we can be friends. That what we felt was never romantic. That all we were, was just two sad children clinging onto each other. Needing safety that no one else could provide. Grasping for a happiness we didn't know how to find in ourselves. And now, that we both found happiness in ourselves, do we still need each other? Do I even know the man in front of me? Why is he still that child to me? Will we ever forget? When did we realize we didn't love one another? When did I notice the things I hate about him? When did I realize all I loved was the Idea of what we could be, what we could have been?
My head hurts.
He breathes out. He breathes in.
"Is this fair? I feel like we're close to the end." I watch him. Or I stare into the directions his voice is coming from.
"Roses don't know when they're dead." He's silent again.
"I will return to my chambers."
"Yes."
I hear him move around. He doesn't turn on the lights so I don't offer to turn on the lights. After five minutes of being alone, I begin to cry. I have to cry. I cry so much my head pounds. I mourn the children we were. I mourn the safety I felt. I mourn being able to make my happiness depend on someone else. I mourn not knowing how it feels to be without him. I mourn for every second of my life that I spent pretending to love him. I mourn for every second of my life in which I made my happiness depend on him. I let myself mourn for 20 minutes. Then I begin to fear the future without him. After that I turn over in my bed and go to sleep. Alone in the chambers I had shared for years. A decade maybe? I can’t remember.

Can you list out any enemies to lovers ships you’re invested in? It’s great to see we have the same taste. I also love Batjokes, Cherik, LLight, and Hannigram. I’d love to discover more.
All great ships to love! Ah man, my taste in other enemies-to-lovers ships runs from Ye Olde 2012 Tumblr days to Kdramas/Cdramas I would recommend with my dying breath, so I'll just... take you on a journey. Trying to limit myself to ships that lasted a while and for which I read fics for, and almost wrote fics for myself, yet somehow this still got super long (sorry).
But to start with the bigger ones... when it comes to other enemies-to-lovers ships that are well-known and quite big, I am also partial to Obikin (Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker), Silverflint (James Flint and John Silver), Wangxian (Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian), JWDS (Joowon and Dongsik), Thorki (Loki and Thor) and Harrymort (Harry Potter and Voldemort).
Obikin has more of the Cherik & Megop set-up; they had a very close relationship before one of them became the "enemy", ending up on opposite sides of a conflict. Don't know how familiar you are with Star Wars, but the recent Obi-Wan Kenobi show is just... so incredibly shippy. And angsty, and well-written. I fully recommend it. When it comes to Silverflint, it's a bit more complicated. They're not classical nemeses or part of fantastical worlds. It's more like Hannigram, in the sense that they're more grounded, darker. Flint and Silver don't get along, and then they do, and then they don't. It's such a complex, fascinating dynamic, and I recommend watching Black so so much. And man, I also recommend getting into The Untamed or any of its corollaries; the novel Mo Dao Zu Shi is the original, but if you prefer anime, there's also that. Lan Zhan and Wei Wuxian (Wangxian) are... complicated, in the sense they're not quite enemies-to-lovers (they never truly hated each other), but they also are, since they definitely were on opposite sides of a conflict and fought each other. The thing about Wangxian and The Untamed is that it's a tragedy at its core, but one that gets a second chance. It's rather unique in that, and heart-wrenching. Then there's JWDS from the Korean show Beyond Evil; it's the ship between Joowon and Dongsik, the main characters. You've got Joowon who literally starts out suspecting his police partner of murder, and Dongsik who's... well. A wreck of a man for multiple reasons, but a manipulative one. Their enemies-to-lovers arc pretty much happens in the show, and it's brain-rot inducing, ugh. Fully recommend it. (If you watch Beyond Evil and like it, tack on The Devil Judge and Strangers from Hell on the list as well. Very Hannigram-like dynamics in these, with Strangers from Hell being... speedrun Hannigram on steroids that's somehow darker.)
Now to get into the last two rather "problematic" ships :)) When it comes to Thorki, I guess it depends on what squicks you. Back in my youth (read: a decade ago) the ship was thriving, and while there were some pearl-clutching voices here and there, they weren't the majority. Now you're likely to get people going "oh my god?? incest??" even though Thor and Loki are not even the same alien race, nevermind of the same blood. You can only call it pseudoincest, since they did grow up together. But hell, even if they were real brothers, it's a fictional pairing that's harming no one; and enough said on this front, before I get annoyed. I loved both characters and their dynamic a lot... up to Thor: Ragnarok and everything since then. No idea how familiar you are with Marvel stuff, but basically the first Thor movie, Thor: The Dark World, and The Avengers (2012) are peak Thorki-- to me. And lastly, to get to Harrymort... [sigh]. Mentioning it because I definitely ship it, but my enjoyment of anything Harry Potter has been poisoned by JKR and recent events. I don't engage much with material anymore, but dammit, the fandom has some incredible novel-length fics that do these characters and their potential more justice than the author ever did. The quality of fic for these two is unbelievable, and I'm basically... a fan of fanon Harrymort, because I could write a whole-ass essay and then two books on top about how JKR completely failed with this dynamic in the books-- and I don't mean in any way romantically, but just as nemeses or parallels supposed to teach a lesson or send a message.
Anyway! My main enemies-to-lovers and most enduring ships are definitely Batjokes, Lawlight, Hannigram and Cherik (in this chronological order of emergence, hah). Out the other ships I mentioned, I most heartily recommend watching Black Sails, Beyond Evil and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Also, maybe you'd enjoy Interview with the Vampire and Loustat, which is very... Hannigram-coded and incredible to watch. And Killing Eve, which hinges on the Villanelle ship? I liked these two shows a lot, although they did not quite activate Hyperfixation Mode in my brain. Perhaps they will for you. If you get into any of these, hope you enjoy <3

Omega’s First 4th of July
Today was a special day for Omega. Today was going to be Omega’s first time watching the Fireworks. She is 3 yrs old now. Hunter and the others tried to show her Fireworks but she would fall asleep before they EVEN started. This year they….well Tech MADE sure that she would see her first Firework show. Tech planned the WHOLE THING OUT so Omega would have a WONDERFUL and a MEMORABLE 4th of July with her family. Even her Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins were coming.
Tech made sure that everyone had a KEY ROLE to make this day SPECIAL. This is what Tech gave everyone.
Hunter: Get Omega dressed into her cute Red, White, and Blue Outfit. (I found this picture on the internet)
Echo: Clean the Picnic Table and set the paper plates and plastic utensils.
Wrecker: MAKE SURE TO NOT BLOW THINGS UP. WE DON’T WANT THE FIRE DEPARTMENT COME AGAIN LIKE LAST TIME.
Crosshair: Picking out Fireworks and Lighting them. He was also in charge of cooking the Hamburgers and Hot Dots on the grill.
Tech was in charge of making sure the food WASN’T EATING by Wrecker and laid the food on the table. Tech had invited other Family Members and asked them to bring something too.
Cody & Obi Wan: Potato Salad

Once all the rest of their family members came, they all started eating and enjoying the food. Crosshair was a GREAT COOK. Especially whenever he cooked food on the BBQ grill. Hunter made sure that Omega was in a DIFFERENT outfit so she wouldn’t get food on it.
Omega was SO HAPPY to see her Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins, that she went to each one of them saying “FIREWORKS! FIREWORKS! FIREWORKS!” instead of saying hi to them.
“Are you excited to see the Fireworks, little one?” Obi Wan asked her. Omega jumped up and down saying “YES!!
“You’re not going to fall asleep like last time are you?” Cody jokingly said with a chuckle.
“NOPE.” Omega said as she shakes her head. Then Omega said this. “I’m not going to fall asleep. Wrecker and I made a promise.”
“Oh. What did you guys promise?” Rex asked when he overheard HOW EXCITED Omega was. Hunter joined too.
“Uncle Wrecker said that if I stay awake when we do the FIREWORKS, he will secretly pull me to the side so I CAN LIGHT a FIREWORK. He also told me that he would give me PIXIE STICKS to help me stay away. Uncle Wrecker told me to not tell anyone but Uncle Echo told me to NEVER LIE if someone tells you something.” Omega said in her cute toddler voice. She is still learning what a secret and a lie is.
Once Hunter heard that, he went over to Wrecker and had a LONG, VERY LONG talk about what Omega told them. Wrecker said that he was the same age when he FIRST lit a FIREWORK.
99 overheard this and yelled back, “The only way you were able to light a FIREWORK because your DRUNK Uncle Alpha took you to a church parking lot gave you a lighter. You guys lit a FIRECRACKER ROCKET which hit the roof of the church! I don’t know how my Brother was able to sneak you out….” Before he could finish, Shaak smacked 99’s head. “The reason you didn’t know was because you were drunk!” Shaak yelled at him.
As Tech saw this WHOLE DRAMA going on, he saw Omega getting emotional. He didn’t want her to have a FIRST 4TH OF JULY ruined. He quickly stopped the fight by yelling at them to stop as he motioned his head towards Omega. Everyone who was arguing stopped to see that Omega was crying. Hunter IMMEDIATELY picked up Omega and told her that they aren’t mad at her as he rubbed her back. Started to come down. Hunter told her that she was TOO young to like BIG FIREWORKS but that she would be able to help light a different kind of FIREWORK. She would light the others SPARKLERS after someone lights her SPAKLER. She would use her SPARKLER to light the other kids SPARKLERS. Omega was happy that she was able to “LIGHT” her first FIREWORK. She stopped crying and asked if they could do it now. They told her that they will do it when it gets a little bit more dark.
As soon as it got dark enough to light a few FIREWORKS, everyone laid out blankets and chairs on the front lawn to watch the FIREWORKS. Hunter helped Omega get into her cute outfit. It was a little struggle getting it on her because she wouldn’t stop moving. He finally got her in it as she ran outside to sit on the lawn with her cousins.
Crosshair gave Omega a lit SPARKLER and told her to light everyone else’s SPARKLER. As was doing that, Hunter noticed that Omega’s SPARKLER was almost out. She wouldn’t get a chance to draw/write. He decided to tell Omega that she was done lighting everyone’s SPARKLER and traded her a new lit one. Omega had a BLAST drawing and writing letters. She was trying to write “Uncle Wrecker” but spelled it like this “Unkle Wraker”. She is still learning her ABC.
After the SPARKLERS were done, it was now for the REAL SHOW. Crosshair light one after another. Omega was fascinated with the colors and sounds. Hunter was afraid that she would get scared with the loud noises but she didn’t. This was a 4th of July that they will NEVER FORGET and Omega’s first FIREWORK show. She stayed awake through the WHOLE thing. Wrecker might have given Omega 2 PIXIE STICKS when no one was looking. But overall, it was a great 4th of July.

When You Weren’t Looking — pt. 3/?
PROFESSOR!OBI-WAN x READER
PART 2
an au where you and you literature professor realize you both have things to learn about love, and yourselves, outside of class. (as we all know, this can only be done through a big scoop of angst and a smutty cherry on top)
summary: sober-wan is gone
warnings: language, alcohol, anakin being the best and the worst at the same time (he’s gonna be v present in the series so idk if that’s a warning to u or not lol) satine
a/n: if y/n didn’t have a crush on obi then she would def have one on padme. im also entertaining the idea of dragging out the time before the smut and then throwing that shit in every chapter lmao. btw this is mostly dialogue and idk how to feel abt that yet
word count: 2,479
“Obi-Wan?” Anakin put his hand on Obi-Wan’s shoulder and shook it to gain his attention.
“hmm?” he stopped scanning for places to sit and turned his head towards Anakin instead. Anakin grabbed both of his shoulders this time, turning him around fully so that Obi-Wan could see what he was already looking at.
“Isn’t she in your fourth-period class? Yeah, she is! The one you’re giving extra credit to,”
Anakin pointed at you standing behind the bar. You were serving drinks to an annoyed-looking woman and the rowdy group a couple of chairs over. Your head leaned back as you laughed at something they did. They weren’t disrespectful or anything, just having a bit of fun. They had come to celebrate the end of the work week by getting drinks at the bar, just as Obi-Wan and Anakin had come to do, except they were not aware of the small detail that was you being the bartender.
Obi-Wan clicked his tongue as he slapped Anakin's hand down. He was too late though, as you saw them standing in the doorway from across the room.
“Shit, sorry,” Anakin said sheepishly.
You didn’t seem the slightest bit bothered, a little surprised maybe, but the same could not be said of Obi-Wan. You waved, too far away for him to notice the blush on your cheeks. He returned it awkwardly as Anakin shouted your name, just loud enough to make it over the music.
He took a step forward, but paused when he noticed Obi-Wan still rigid next to him. He gave him a quizzical look.
“It’s just that it’s weird to see her in this environment I suppose,” Obi-Wan answered to his expression.
“You see her outside of class all the time,” Anakin was becoming both increasingly concerned and intrigued by his mentor’s behavior.
“True, but this is different. She’s not a student out here, she’s just…”
“a person?” Anakin raised an eyebrow.
“well…”
“Glad you figured that one out,” Anakin clapped a hand on his shoulder. Obi-Wan glared at Anakin. knowing him for years through Qui-Gonn had made becoming his TA more like becoming a brother. The two of them looked back at you, now focused on serving drinks to a new couple that had just sat down at the bar. Anakin looked back and forth between you and Obi-Wan.
“You like her, don’t you?” Anakin looked at Obi-Wan with a suspicious eye.
“Don’t be ridiculous Anakin,” Obi-Wan rolled his eyes.
“You do!” he exclaimed. Anakin knew Obi-Wan well enough to where he could spot the cracks in his serious facade. He had known that Obi-Wan was romantically capable, but that was only by accident. They were having a conversation one day and somehow he made a comment that alluded to the fact that he had once been in a relationship a very long time ago, and that it had deeply affected him. Anakin was able to get her name but not much else out of him, as Obi-Wan insisted it was in the past. He had been hoping for some time now that his mentor would find someone again, and he’d be damned before he wasn’t his wingman.
“Oh admit it. You have a thing for her!”
“This conversation ends now,” Obi-Wan said firmly.
“I know that Satine—“
“Ends. Now.” Obi-Wan glared severely.
Anakin raised his hands in surrender and started towards the bar again. They took the seats that opened up now that the annoyed lady had gotten up, presumably because she had had her fill of those next to her.
“Hi! I have to say it’s a bit weird to see both of you here. I guess I forget sometimes that teachers are still people and do…people things,” you had worded your thoughts rather awkwardly but chose to laugh at the fact rather than get hung up on it.
Obi-Wan relaxed at your statement. So you felt like it was a bit odd too, you just weren’t nearly as dramatic about it. Anakin subtly elbowed him, and he inwardly chastised himself while at the same time appreciating your own brand of confidence, laughing off an introduction that you could have otherwise been embarrassed about.
“Yeah we feel the same about you and the other students too,” Anakin chuckled.
“I’ve got to say it was a bit of a shock,” Obi-Wan chimed in, your eyes flicking to him immediately.
“I hope that's not a bad thing,” you smirked.
“No no, more like a pleasant surprise,” he was quick to reassure you, his nerves now smoothed considerably.
“I’m more than happy to pleasantly surprise, which is why” you turned behind you and then spun back around facing them, this time with two drinks in your hand, “I made these for you guys,”
“oh?” your professor lifted his brow.
“I uh, it’s just fun when a customer lets me surprise them with a drink based on their preferences. I took the liberty of guessing those too,”
you’re adorable— no sweet— nice?
Obi-Wan searched for an adjective that he felt less alarmed when using to describe someone in his professional world.
You pushed Obi-Wan’s drink towards him with a wink, saying, “don’t worry it’s on me.” You didn’t have to do the same with Anakin as he plucked his drink straight from your hand when you had offered. It was a dark drink in a martini glass, a blackberry with a toothpick running through it at the bottom of the glass. He stirred the stick a bit before he lifted the glass and took a sip.
“What is this? I like it a lot. What made you pick this one out for me?”
“It’s a black martini, pretty straightforward name, but it’s got gin, lime, pineapple juice, and charcoal but you can't taste it. It’s a little…moody,” you dropped your voice and leaned in for a feigned whisper “but it’s secretly fruity,” Anakin’s eyes went wide.
“No,” you laughed “Not in that way, but it doesn’t taste as dark as it looks,”
Anakin chuckled, “I’ll take it.”
You had turned to Obi-Wan now. “Sorry Anakin, but I’m more concerned about the Professors reaction,”
“Oh? Why’s that?” Obi-Wan leaned in with curiosity
“Well, one of you has to be the harsher critic,”
“Hey, I do grade you pretty well,”
“Did I not mention that last essay a while ago?”
“Ah, you have indeed, little one,” he conceded as he lifted his glass to his lips, a yellow drink with a lemon peel curled around the rim. His eyes widened in happy surprise. “mmm, it’s delicious” his tongue darted out to savor the taste.
“but…” he started, your forming smile put on pause, “The final score is pending until you tell me what it means”
“Well it’s called,” blushed and looked down a little in embarrassment. you didn’t think this through. “it’s called between the sheets” Anakin huffed air out of his nose in amusement as Obi-Wan choked on his second sip, which was unfortunately much larger than the last, “Well it’s a classic,” you quickly continued, “with a story behind it, something I feel like you’d appreciate in a drink, but most Importantly it’s got a little sass,” You all laughed.
“Oh dear,” Obi-Wan ran a hand through his hair
“She’s not wrong,” Anakin said.
“Yeah, Professor. You’ve got more spice than you think” well thank the maker you didn’t see him as old and boring.
Anakin had his mouth open to make another comment when he suddenly stopped and broke into a smile. You and Obi-Wan waited for him to explain but when he didn’t, you both leaned next to him to follow his line of sight, landing on Ms. Amidala walking in.
“Really now, is this a school meeting I didn’t know about?” Obi-Wan cried. He didn’t have anything against Ms. Amidala, but if things kept going in this direction, he was not going to be able to enjoy his drink…or you… if Professor Windu and the rest of the staff somehow got the same idea to show up.
“Actually, I invited her,” Anakin said in a rather confident tone, no doubt prepping for when she walked over.
“What?” Obi-Wan said sharply.
“Well we were just talking today and she said she’d like to talk again some other time so I convinced her to come here tonight,”
“Now who has a thing??”
It was your turn to say, “What?” Obi-Wan made a small incoherent stuttering sort of noise.
“Just be mindful Anakin—“
“Hello!” Ms. Amidala greeted all of you as she pulled up a chair. You’d seen your school counselor many times in the halls and she was always immaculately dressed, but you’d never realized how beautiful she was until now.
“I don't think I've met you before” she turned towards you with such a pure and genuine smile that you couldn’t help but return it. She really was something, Anakin.
“I’m y/n. It’s nice to meet you Ms. Amidala. I usually see you walking around the campus. I'm a student at the university actually,”
“We’re not on campus right now, so please, call me Padmé,”
“Padmé then,”
“Padmé,” Anakin said next to her, a tinge of awe in his voice.
“Ani” she greeted him, “Thanks for asking me to come,”
“Of course,” Anakin said. Maker, could he drool any more?
Obi-Wan started to cough abruptly, and somehow that cough came out sounding an awful lot like the word “mindfulness”.
“Are you ok Obi-Wan?” Padme looked at him with concern.
“Oh, quite,” he dabbed the corners of his lips with one of the coaster napkins. Your eyes met as you smiled in amusement over his attempt at warning Anakin, which went completely over his head of course. Anakin was going to make a fool of himself regardless, but you, being the kind soul that you were, figured you could at least try to make it so he could blame the alcohol for anything too stupid.
This led to your sudden suggestion of shots, whipping out a handle of tequila in one hand, vodka in the other.
“It’s not a school night.” you said.
“On yes let’s!” Padmé said excitedly. She looked the picture of elegance with her swept-up hair and delicate blouse, and yet she was the one eagerly motioning for a little glass.
“Yeah!” Anakin agreed.
“Shit,” Obi-Wan whispered under his breath.
little one what have you done.
Anakin just laughed at Obi-Wan’s disdain.
“This is where the fun begins.”
—
Obi-Wan was stubborn, but as soon as you said the word, he was downing the alcohol, impressively smoothly one might add.
“Yeah! Let’s go gramps,” Anakin patted Obi-Wan on the back.
You never seen Obi-Wan as old, and the thought of it felt a little off to you.
“Just because Professor Kenobi’s the only one of you who can manage to grow a beard doesn’t mean he’s old,” you quipped.
“You make a fair point,” Padmé said and Anakin frowned.
“Thank you y/n,”
“Of course, Professor,”
You didn’t realize how much time had passed as you alternated between serving other customers and conversing with… friends? They were supposed to be your superiors but in this environment, you suddenly felt so close to them. Admittedly, it did help that Anakin was a little bit of a child at times, making you feel like you were on equal terms with him especially, you two being the youngest of the four.
It was now midnight and Padmé had sobered up from her buzz. She had only taken one shot and you realized she encouraged the shots mostly just for the boys and sat back to enjoy her own innocent amusement. She was funny.
At the same time, Anakin was revealing that he was very much a passionate drunk. He was telling stories of how he wanted to be a pilot at one point, and Padmé was thoroughly entertained. It was sweet how he made her laugh and she never had to doubt that she had his full attention.
You’d never seen Obi-Wan like this before, his eyes were a little droopy but his smile was huge. He had made himself comfortable by laying his arm on the bar, slightly propping himself up with his hand as he leaned lowly over the countertop. He was witty as ever, but as Anakin and Padmé shifted into their own little world, you noticed your Professor had been watching you walk back and forth behind the bar, wiping down the counter and getting ready to close down the bar.
“How are you feeling?” you asked him.
“Quite lovely,”
“I’d hope so, Professor. Tequila will do that to you.”
“Obi-Wan, please. Ms. Amidala had a point, and we’re both adults out here are we not?”
“Alright then, Obi-Wan,”
“I like how it sounds better when you say it,”
Was he…flirting? outright?
As much as you enjoyed it, he was drunk and you didn’t want to say anything foolish that he would remember you saying when he sobered up, but you’d be lying if you weren’t gonna take the compliment.
“Thank you. Although I think you should get some sleep now,”
“No,” he sat up and looked very adamant with a slight frown. He looked like a little boy who had been denied candy.
“Alright alright,” you turned to Padmé to whisper “I think he’s ready to go home now,”
“We are of one mind then,” she smiled. “I’m going to take Anakin home as well, I don't trust him to do it alone. it was wonderful to meet you,”
“I never expected to have this much fun—
“with teachers?”
“well, yeah I guess,”
She smiled then told both of them to stand up and they followed her out the door, but Obi-Wan only made it halfway there before he turned around, jogging back to you.
“I’d just like to say, I’m very glad I gave you a shitty grade,”
“what?” you said in surprise at his confession. You liked drunk Obi-Wan.
“No, it’s just that, if I hadn't, I wouldn't get to see you after my classes, and I wouldn't have realized how wonderful you are,” his voice was sincere and smooth. He had meant it.
“You’re right, I am wonderful,” you shrugged jokingly.
“Oh thank the maker you’re aware,” he said relieved and in all seriousness.
“I was joking, but I just want to say that I would've taken that grade any day if it meant spending time with you”
“I’ll see you next week darling,” he said as he kissed your hand. His eyes were low and your heart rate was high. You felt a dizziness that was becoming all too common around him.
He turned away too soon for your liking, and you watched him leave with Padmé and Anakin. You hadn’t even had a single drink and yet you felt so warm. After you closed up, you were definitely going to have one if you were going to digest what had just happened.

Commander Buir
Follow-up to this post. Not in any particular order, just spitballing ideas, with contributions from several friends on discord.
Like presumably it takes long enough for them all to meet up again that Anakin and Cody do, in fact, end up treating each other like family, just so I can have that good good "well, guess I'm Dad now" energy. Shmi isn't entirely sure what's going on but she's not a slave anymore and her kid seems to like this rando mando, so.
Anakin gets to have a mom and two dads, though one of the dads is arguably younger than him.
Also when they all meet up again and Cody explains the "General Skywalker got shrunk" thing, there are three reactions: (General) Obi-Wan: Oh, Anakin. Obi-Wan: [gestures to take him, ends up with an armful of clingy padatoddler] Anakin: You can't blame this on me, Obi. Obi-Wan, a little teary, because babies cause emotions: Of course I can, you absurd human being. ------ Rex: That's... my general. Anakin: I am, Captain. Rex: Cool cool cool I'm gonna go stand where I can't, uh, break you. Anakin: I'm not THAT fragile! ------ Ahsoka: [gasp] Skyguy is SKYKID! Anakin: Padawan, this is-- Ahsoka, grabbing him and cuddling: Oh my goodness you're adorable this is the best day ever. Anakin: This is humiliating, Snips, put me down. Ahsoka: Never.
Anakin hates being a toddler because of the lack of independence but Cody keeps picking him up when he's cranky and just holding him until he falls asleep and that's... nice.......
- The brain limitations aren't quite as bad as the situation with Sokanth and Ylliben in the other AU, but - Even if his brain is mostly adjusted he’s still got a tiny body with different needs that he’s not used to. Like, he needs to sleep more but he’s got more energy than usual when he’s awake and it’s all weird.
Cody carrying around toddler Anakin like "God you give me ulcers but you're adorable, you little shit."
Inconveniently tiny body aside, Anakin has a pretty great time in this au. His family are all together and safe and within reach. His wife isn't around, but toddler brain means he doesn't have the Romance Drive, so that's not as bad as it could be It could be significantly worse.
@atagotiak asked: Does Anakin get annoyed about being called cute? - To which I say, He bites the first few times but Shmi tells him that's Naughty so he stops. - Babies are cute so you packbond with them before they’re annoying, Anakin is cute as a self defense mechanism - He’s extra annoying so he needs to be extra cute
You know how you need to keep an eye on toddlers so they don't, like, fall down the stairs or put something toxic in their mouth? - They need to keep an eye on Anakin specifically so he doesn't rewire the ship they're in while they're in hyperspace. - He has less self control on account of being smol. He still has all the mechanical knowledge! Just less comprehension of y’know, consequences.
Anakin, with a sippy cup: This is demeaning. Ahsoka: Your hands don't work great enough to avoid accidents yet. Anakin: It's still embarrassing.
General Kenobi can't just kill Maul, not when Maul is baby right now (sixteen, which is baby enough) so he just. Kinda. Kidnaps a baby Sith. (It's fine. He's fine.)
General Kenobi (not to be confused with Padawan Kenobi) decides to declare Maul his new padawan because someone has to deal with this teenager, and Plo already claimed the rest of Ahsoka's training. And Anakin's three, so.
"What do we do with Maul?" "Eh, I can handle him. I dealt with teenage Anakin getting arrested for illegal pod-racing twice a month, I can work with this."
Maul bites, but only slightly more often than Anakin, it's fine
Ahsoka definitely bullies Maul whenever possible
Consider: Rex holding very still because Anakin wanted to be tall, so he climbed Rex. Being unexpectedly climbed is better than being unexpectedly yeeted. It's still extremely nerve-wracking. - Cody is perfectly capable of running around with a backpacking toddler General, but Rex freezes like a statue. - Ahsoka finds this hilarious
You know how little kids like to be thrown around and swung in circles and stuff like that? This must get even more ridiculous with force users. Can throw a child real high and catch them safely. - Rex panics whenever Ahsoka throws her chibified Master
Literally everyone except Rex loves being yeeted. Even Maul can appreciate a good tactical yeet no shut up he's not having fun this is TRAINING - Rex is Suffering - Cody, a very Tired Dad, deserves to mock his vod'ika a little, as stress relief - Rex, a certified Little Brother, shoves Cody off something tall. Jokes on him, Cody thinks freefall is fun too.
Tia asked: So the people who didn’t exist yet got flung bodily back in time and Anakin did the mental time travel. Why did Obi-Wan not become Padawan Kenobi? (I mean “because I want it that way” is def a good enough answer I’m just wondering if there’s any reason.) - Which, well, it really was mostly "I want to" but here's two options, both of which come down to Blame Daughter and Father. 1. They figured a responsible adult Jedi Master was needed to convince people. 2. Nobody was supposed to get de-aged but Daughter figured they needed to make Anakin less liable to kill things for a few years. - Also IDK the Force God-Manifestations also took away any risk of rapid aging and early death from the clones because uhhhhhhhhhhh I said so
Rex and Ahsoka are fumbling their way through a relationship where ages are just really confusing and awkward, so they're keeping it to just kisses and cuddles for a bit.
Cody is so tired he doesn't even realize anyone's hitting on him until it's been three years of co-parenting with Shmi and his General. - Somehow Anakin knows Cody is in a relationship before Cody does. Cody has never been so embarrassed. - How did he manage to be less observant than Skywalker? -- it was sabotage; all his brain cells were taken up in managing said Skywalker -- Because Skywalker was up at three in the morning whacking a training droid with a stick so he didn't have the energy for Relationships
Also Shmi's come-ons are super subtle, while the General's are... well, Cody's gotten very used to ignoring anything ambiguous on that end because fraternization rules, and also because Obi-Wan flirts a lot with everyone. So.
Please imagine Cody and General Kenobi walking around with Anakin tucked into a toddler sling while they do whatever work they've ended up with at the Temple. - Yes, Cody is helping the Jedi figure out the best plan of attack to take down this slave ring because his grasp on tactics is phenomenal and he knows how to deploy people at greatest efficiency, but also he's got a nosy toddler on his hip who keeps offering his own insane-but-competent ideas. - General Kenobi ends up with a Council Seat just on account of, like, being the kind of person he is. As often as not, he's got Anakin tucked into his robes, chewing on the ear of a stuffed tooka or something.
IDK what Shmi's doing but apparently Legends had it that some of the administrative and support positions in the Temple were held by non-Jedi civilians? So probably something like that.
GENERAL KENOBI LECTURING PADAWAN MAUL WHILE ANAKIN'S BALANCED ON HIS HIP AND GLARING AT MAUL FOR STEALING HIS DAD
General Kenobi: Ahsoka's babysitting. Anakin: I'm her master, I don't need babysitting, this is-- General Kenobi: Fine, then you need supervision, so that you don't blow up a training salle again. Anakin: And you think Ahsoka would stop me? General Kenobi, eye twitching: Fine, I'm leaving you with Plo.
Even if he’s mentally an adult Anakin always needs supervision Look at canon! Anakin was left without supervision for like two days and he became a Sith
Quinlan gets distracted by how attractive General Kenobi is and tells Obi-Wan "dude, you're gonna be so hot once you can get rid of the stupid haircut" and Obi-Wan pushes him into the nearest pond.
They end up with this weird "Uncle Jango" situation (uncle to Anakin, via weird brotherhood-ish to Cody) because Rex and Cody are just like "Uhhhhhhhhh yeah okay" about him eventually, and Jango just like. Drops by. Trying to Earn Affection Of Blood Kin by bringing weird gifts for them and their (ugh) Jedi.
"Okay, Rex'ika, I stopped by Shili--" "What?" "--and apparently this is a delicacy there, so just... your girlfriend will like it." "She's not my girlfriend." "..." "Okay, I can't call her my girlfriend. Jedi have rules about that sort of thing, and--" "This will make your Jedi happy, probably. Just take it, kid."
Baby Anakin got his arm back but for some inexplicable reason still has The Eye Scar. He matches Buir.

How the clones would ask you out (Genderneutral)
Includes Rex, Fives, Echo, Jesse, Kix, Cody and Wolffe
Warnings: None
Rex
Poor Rex would be so, so nervous
It took pep talks vom Anakin, Ahsoka and several of his brothers to get up the courage to actually ask you out (though not all of them were all that helpful)
Rex wouldn’t ask you out in public or at work, he’d go to your flat instead
His strong knock doesn’t betray his nerves, but the second you open the door he cannot remember what he was going to say for the life of him
Luckily he was trained as a soldier his entire life and it only takes him a few second to forget about his nerves and continue with his plan
“I was wondering if you’d like to go on a picnic with me tomorrow?”
A picnic, Ahsoka had convinced him, would be the perfect first date. The two of them had even decided on a nice place in one of Coruscant’s few parks together
(Plus Rex likes to bake and cook, it’s his way of dealing with the stress of war (and his brothers’ shenanigans))
“I’d love to.”
You have never seen such a big smile on Rex’s face
“Great. That’s great.”
You chatted for a few more minutes before Rex had to excuse himself. Just as you were closing the door you stuck your head out again. “Rex?” “Yes.” “Is this a date?” The small blush on his face was adorable. “I’d like it to be, if that’s fine with you.” You smiled. “It’s more than fine.”
Fives
If anyone has an actual pickup line it’s Fives, not in a creepy way though, he’s cute about it
The two of you have been flirting back and forth for a while now and Fives, after finally no longer denying his feelings, decides to ask you out
He walks up to you with every bit of confidence he can muster
“Hey handsome, what brings you here?”, you ask. Your usual greeting, but Fives doesn’t reply in the way he usually does (”Hey mesh’la, just coming to admire the view.”) “Since you make my heart sing I was wondering if you’d like to accompany to a concert tomorrow.”
You could tell that he wasn’t joking this time, but still decided to have your fun with him.
“So sorry, I already promised another handsome young man with a number as his name to spend the day with him.” As soon as the words left your mouth the smile fell from Fives’ face and instantly made you regret your words. “Oh, baby, no. I was only joking. I’d love to go out with you.” The smirk was back and brighter than ever. “It’s a date!”, he said a bit louder than he had to.
He’d kiss you on the cheek before saying goodbye.
(And maybe he even whispers suggestions for what you could do after the concert in your ear.)
Echo
Much like Rex, Echo is quite nervous
At first he was glad to have Fives on his side to give him advice, but he soon learned that not everything his brother suggested would go down well
He’d wait for you at work and offer to walk you home, because someone once told him that travelling in the same direction eases conversation
When you exit the building your eyes immediately fall on Echo, who is standing nearby with flowers in his hand. “What are you doing here?”, you ask with a smile on your face. “I... well... I saw these flowers in the market downton and they made me think of you.” He hands you the flowers, suddenly even more nervous now that he doesn’t have anything in his hands. “That’s so sweet”, you say as you lift the flowers to your nose. “I was just on my way home, would you like to join me and come in for a cup of caf?”
The two spend the rest of the day together. Walking home, drinking caf, cooking dinner. After a while Echo’s nervousness fades and only returns when he realises it’s time for him to return to the barracks.
“Actually I had another reason to come to see you today. I was wondering if you’d like to go out with me sometime. Like on a date. If you would like to go on a date with me.” You laugh and the sound Echo usually cherishes breaks his heart, which you soon realise. “Oh, Echo, honey, no! I mean yes, but I just thought that today was kinda like... a date... I’m sorry, I was just assuming, I should have actually asked you.” A smile mirroring yours appeared on his face. “So... How about a second date?”
Jesse
Jesse only realises that he needs to ask you out as soon as possible after a particularly tough mission. A lot of his brothers died, even more got hurt, and he spent a few days in the medbay as well.
The second he’s back on Coruscant he comms you asking where you are and no matter where you are or what you’re doing, he’s on his way to you as soon as you answer.
“Stars, Jesse, what’s gotten into you?”, you ask when you open the door to his rapid knocking. “I like you, I really like you and I don’t want to die without ever asking you out. So, (Y/N), will you go out with me?” At first you don’t know what to say. “Of course I’ll go out with you. But maybe you should sit down for a minute, you don’t seem like yourself.”
After just a few minutes and a cup of herbal tea the two of you were talking and joking like always. That is until you remember an appointment you had to hurry to make. “I’d hate to throw you out, but I really need to go.” “That’s fine”, Jesse says with a smile. “How about I pick you up tomorrow at seven for our date?” You nod your head smiling.
Kix
Kix asks you out more or less on accident. It’s been a long day, he’s tired, and all he wants is a relaxing evening with you.
“Hey, Kix, you wanna come to 79s with us?”, Fives, who just popped into the medbay, asks. Kix shook his head. “I really don’t. If it were up to me I’d spend the evening with some takeout and (Y/N).” “(Y/N)?”, Jesse follows up. “They help me relax like no one else and that’s what I need after stitching you idiots up all day”, Kix says, glancing at Fives and Hardcase at his last words. “Then how about we grab something to eat and spend the evening on my couch?”, you offer. Everyone turns to you, who had just entered the room. Echo bursts in a second later. “Sorry, I tried to stop her from coming in.”
Kix blushes like crazy, you weren’t supposed to hear that. He tells you as much.
You walk over to where he’s sitting, miraculously the others have disappeared, and place a hand on his shoulder. If it weren’t for the armour covering him you would have loved nothing more than giving him a soothing massage.
“You know what? I’m here because I wanted to ask you out, but I guess you just did that for me.” He chuckled. “Guess so. Let’s go, I cannot wait for our date.”
Cody
Cody would be so smooth when asking you out, mainly because he got advice from Obi-Wan, who flirts with everyone and could teach him a few good moves.
His tactic is pretending you already agreed, which is why he spent the afternoon transforming his room into a small movie theatre for the two of you, complete with snacks and drinks and a holoprojector.
He then makes his way over to your apartment to actually ask you out. And though he hadn’t been nervous all day, the second you open the door he’s at a loss for words.
“(Y/N), cyare, I was wondering... No, that’s not it... I’m here to ask you... No, wait... Would you like to...” Though you can’t help but find his out of character rambling cute, you want nothing more than to put poor Cody out of his misery. “Would you care for a glass of water?”, you ask, opening the door further to invite him in.
For some reason the cool water helps him sort out his thoughts and he can finally ask the question he’d prepared earlier. “Would you like to watch a movie with me tonight?”, he asks, his voice smooth and steady. For a fraction of a second there was something that might have been disappointment in your eyes, but then you nodded. “Sure. Why don’t we invite Waxer and Boil as well?” Cody had been quite sure that you’d agree, but the second part caught him off guard. Maybe he should have been more obvious with his intention. “Actually, I was hoping it’d be just the two of us.” You raised an eyebrow. “Wait a minute, Cody, did you just ask me on a date?” A shy smile made it’s way on his face, though to his credit he didn’t blush. “I did.” He had no idea how it was possible, but the smile on your face was even brighter than his own. “In that case, yes! I’d love to watch a movie with you.”
Wolffe
The main reason Wolffe was reluctant to ask you out was not nerves, but rather not wanting to admit his feelings, not wanting to admit a weakness. It was actually Plo Koon who, through ambiguous comments, convinced him to just do it.
He didn’t want it to be a big ceremony, he wasn’t the type for big gestures, but that night, as you were sitting at 79s with the Wolfpack and your eyes were glittering in the multicoloured lights and your perfume made its way to Wolffe’s nose, he just had to ask you out before it was too late, before anything happened to either of you or someone else asked you before he did.
And so, when most of the others were scattered across the bar, he asked you if you’d like to get some air with him. He may not be one for big gestures, but he’d be damned if he asked you out in a stuffy bar surrounded by his drunk brothers.
Outside, he realized was not the perfect environment either. There were still drunk clones around and instead of stuffy it was cold, cold enough to make you shiver in your thin clothes and Wolffe wished he had a jacket he could give you. “I’ll make this quick so you can go back inside. I-”, he stopped himself. You were suddenly a lot closer than just a few moments ago, he could feel your warm breath on his face and it made him lose all focus. “Yes, Wolffe?”, you questioned. He cleared his throat and continued. “I was hoping that you’d like to go on a date with me sometime.”
The atmosphere may not have been perfect, neither were his words, but your smile was and it made up for everything else. “I don’t know, Commander, what’s in it for me?”, you asked with a raised eyebrow. “I don’t know. Dinner, maybe flowers or chocolate”, he replied, trying his best to hide the sudden insecurity. You crossed your arms over your chest and sighed. Wolffe knew what was coming next, he knew you’d let him down and it would be awkward. He never should have asked you out. “You know, I had been hoping you’d say The pleasure of my company or something like that, but I suppose chocolate will do.” A smirk had made it’s way to your lips and a low chuckled escaped Wolffe’s. “Is that a yes, mesh’la?” “It is.”

Noticing You, Noticing Me
Summary: You're the daughter of King Organa, but many outside of your kingdom don't know you. Your brothers Anakin and Varlo are the ones who are in the spotlight. Then your father holds a celebration in your kingdom for many others to attend. Will a certain someone notice you there?
W/C: 1.7k
Warnings: swearing, fighting, light angst
- - -
A knock sounded at your door.
“I didn’t know you were expecting anyone,” your eldest brother, Anakin said with a cheeky smile.
You rolled your eyes as you went to answer the door, “You know exactly who it is. This time, can you at least pull yourself together long enough to not drool over her before you leave.”
He couldn’t help but chuckle as he adjusted his position on his chair. “I’m afraid, little sis, that would be impossible with how close I am to marrying her.”
Once again you rolled your eyes before greeting your best friend, Padmé.
Anakin and Padmé had been together for as long as you could remember. It was a wonder that it took this long for them to get married. Yet, they still aren’t. Their wedding isn’t going to take place for nearly a year from now.
To your surprise, you were met by a very annoyed look on your friend’s face which immediately filled you with concern.
Before you could ask what happened, Padmé answered for you.
“Varlo is a right piece of shit,” she said angrily.
Although you couldn’t see, you knew Anakin had straightened in his seat as he listened. The smallest thing that happened to his fiancé tended to always throw him into an immediate protective mode. Well, that happened with whoever he was extremely close to.
“What did he do this time?” you asked as you guided her into the room. Varlo, your other older brother, had a tendency to be a bit of a pain. Although the two of you were super close, he could sometimes go too far. Especially when it came to people other than you and Anakin. The only person he didn’t mess with was any of the guard or your father, Bail Organa.
Your friend plopped down on the sofa beside Anakin’s chair with a sigh.
“Nothing today really,” she said, sighing once again. “Just playing games that I don’t have the energy to deal with today.”
“Would you like me to talk to him,” Anakin cut in, taking Padmé’s hand and gently massaging it. He was sitting on the edge of his seat, ready to go find Varlo to set him straight. You had to stop yourself from chuckling.
Padmé only shook her head, meeting Anakin’s gaze. Right then, was when you rolled your eyes for the millionth time as he did exactly what you asked him not to.
Clearing your throat, you took your place beside your friend.
“Anakin, didn’t you say you would meet Ahsoka, Sir Fisto and Sir Koon at the training grounds?”
An alarmed look took over your brother’s expression.
“Oh no. What time is it? They’re going to kill me if I’m late again.”
Both you and Padmé looked at each other with looks of amusement as Anakin shot out of his chair. After he gave her a quick kiss goodbye, he fled the room. You wouldn’t have been surprised if he ran to the training grounds.
The two of you burst into laughter once the door had closed.
“You’re marrying that,” you said through your laughter.
“True, but you’ve dealt with that your whole life. He’ll still be your problem.”
Padmé’s statement threw you into another fit of laughter.
Once the two of you had calmed down once again, you turned in your seat. She mirrored you.
“So, what brings you here today other than obviously wanting to be in the presence of the best person in the world?”
She beamed and looked as if she wanted to tease, until some sort of realization came over her. “Have you not yet heard?”
Confusion filled you. “Heard what?”
“About King Organa’s celebration at the castle next week. Has he not yet told you?”
You shook your head. “Anakin and I have been here all morning. So was Varlo for most of it.”
A look of understanding came over her. She knew how close you and your brothers were. So much so that the three of you would always find days where you would all spend time with each other. Whether it be in one room or going out to a nearby village to have some fun.
“I heard that King Qui-Gon Jinn and his son, Prince Obi-Wan Kenobi would be attending. There’s also…” Padmé trailed off when she saw your far off gaze. “Y/N?”
“Padmé, you know no one will notice me. Hardly anybody knows I exist. So many think my brothers are the only children of my father,” you replied as you felt your throat tighten. Although you tried not to think about it, it was still painful.
Padmé moved closer to you and took your hand with a caring smile.
“The only thing that matters is that we care for you. The people in the villages care about you and all the good you do for them and helping the poor. If other kingdoms don’t see you because they only see your brothers, who cares? Anakin and Varlo love you. Your father loves you. And you have me.”
You gave your friend a grateful smile. She always knew how to cheer you up, and this was no exception. Every time you felt like you would never be noticed, she always reminded you of how you were. Deep down, you knew you were. Other than your family and close friends, you also had people like Ahsoka, or Snips as Anakin likes to call her, and others like Rex, the head of the royal guard, and Sir Kit Fisto and Sir Plo Koon. Not to mention the multitude of guards that you were friends with. Especially Fives and Echo.
The more you thought of it, the bigger you smiled.
“See,” Padmé started as she squeezed your hand, “there you go. Your kingdom loves you.”
Before anymore could be said, another knock rang out through the room. When you answered, your father was there.
Looking over your shoulder, he chuckled, “I see you already found out about next week.”
“I did.”
When you looked over at your friend she couldn’t help but smile sheepishly. She tried her best to let your father, the king, be the one to give you the news of these things, but she usually got to you first.
You knew, though, that your father preferred it. He was busy enough so it was nice for him to save some time.
“I also wanted to tell you that the first guests will start arriving six days from now.”
For a moment you thought to yourself. “Father, that’s the day I said I would go to the Naboo village to assist in the set up of a small festival.”
Although it was true, your father knew of your true intentions. It’s not that you didn’t like greeting parties, but you knew you would most likely be looked over. So, in your mind, what was the point?
You were expecting your father to try and reason with you, but a sympathetic look came over him as he smirked.
“Alright, my sweet. At least promise me to tell Anakin-”
You opened your mouth to interject but he raised a hand to silence you.
“You get to tell him. Not only that, but you must also promise me to come to the ball that will be held.”
A smile crossed your lips at the mention of a ball. It was always a time where you and your brothers and Padmé could really have fun. Most of the night you and Varlo would dance together while you stole a couple dances with Anakin. If you weren’t dancing, you were with Padmé. Sometimes the two of you would sneak off and she would tell you of the gossip she had heard. Balls were events you hardly ever dreaded.
“It’s a deal then?” your father asked as you reminisced in the memories.
You smiled brightly as you caught a glimpse of your friend who still sat on the sofa. “Deal.”
-
“Come now, my prince. I heard that King Organa has a daughter,” Cody, Obi-Wan’s best friend and protector, said as they sparred.
Obi-Wan chuckled. “Do you really think I’m that desperate?”
Dodging his opponent’s strike, he was able to push Cody back far enough to where they were circling each other, looking for an opening. It was nearly impossible as the two have sparred with each other for so long that they knew every move the other was going to make before they could even act. This left this period of time to be dragged out as they used it to catch their breath, wiping sweat away from their eyes.
“Desperate? No. But you never know.”
“I wasn’t even aware that King Organa had a daughter,” Obi-Wan said as he finally broke the still moment.
Cody laughed, “Not many do. Not when you have two famous brothers like Anakin and Varlo overshadowing you.”
The two stayed silent for a moment as they fought each other off. Each block and strike being made with precision that drew the fight out longer.
“I guess you have a point,” Obi-Wan grunted out as he locked his sword with Cody’s, bringing them face to face.
“She does amazing things for her kingdom too. It’s a shame that no one pays attention to any of it.”
Obi-Wan felt a slight sense of guilt fill him. It only built as Cody explained more of what you’ve done for your people. How had he never heard of you? Why were none of your accomplishments well known in other kingdoms?
He got so lost in thought that he left an opening for Cody. Being the talented fighter that he is, he took it, throwing Obi-Wan to the ground and pointing his blunted sword to Obi-Wan’s throat.
“Are you sure ‘desperate’ isn’t the right word?”
“More like entranced, my friend,” Obi-Wan said with a fond smile at the commander.
Cody rolled his eyes before offering a hand to the prince. “I should mention her more often if it means I’ll win.”
Shaking his head with a soft chuckle, Obi-Wan turned to put away his training gear. Now thinking that the trip to your kingdom may not be too bad after all.

Hello and how are you? I was wondering if you would write prompt 14.“It’s not bad to cry, in fact I think it makes a person stronger.” for Rex? PG is fine, maybe Rex the one crying. Possibly with a Jedi reader and female pronouns? Or gender neutral if you prefer. Please and thank you, but if not no worries!
A Life With Just You
Of course! Thank you so much for the ask! Got a tad carried away with this one because I really wanna comfort someone rn. (Specifically my friend struggling with some family issues.)
Rex x Fem!Jedi!Reader: "It's not bad to cry, in fact I think it makes a person stronger."
Warnings: Mentions of character death. I may have swore in it??? Honestly I don't remember.
Words: 2.2k
Tag List:
@murdertoothpick @andiebell2023 @kaitou2417 @tacticalsparkles @baroclinicinstability @captain-rexs-girlfriend
(This has nothing to do with Ahsoka, it's just the only sad Rex gif I could find rn)
You guided down the halls of the ship with soft and gentle foot steps. You were looking for a certain someone. Someone you knew for a fact was hurting. One of your closer friends, Captain Rex.
Some Jedi you were 'close' with, often questioned you for hanging out with a clone on your free time. While others like Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, and even Master Plo Koon himself. Were all thankful you took the time out of your day to make Rex, and other clones feel like actual people. People instead of cloned weapons.
You had checked everywhere you thought he would be. The fresher, the barracks, training hall. But you hadn't found him, yet. It was honestly concerning you. Especially with the recent loss of his brother, Fives. The subject was even a tough one for you, so you couldn't even begin to imagine the pain that Rex was going through. Especially with witnessing it all.
You went to stop by your room. Put your robes up so you wouldn't be carrying them. Relieving some of the weight on your shoulders. Though you froze as you tapped in your codes. Feeling a gentle touch to your shoulder. A touch that had you turning your head to meet the eyes of the slightly taller blond.
"There you are," you spoke. Turning to smile at the captain of the five-oh-first. The door to your room swishing open. "I've looked everywhere for you." You admitted.
The captain only nodded. A small huff leaving his nose. "You have?"
He sounded almost shocked. The way he phrased it sort of hurt you. It made you feel as if he thought he didn't deserve it. Or that you were lying.
"Of course, Rex, oh dear.. Come inside, would you?" You spoke. Your gentle words easing their way into his heart. A small smile gracing his handsome face. You had to fight every urge in you to not kiss his forehead in the open hall. Doing such would risk someone catching the simple act of affection.
"I couldn't say no to you," he murmured. Voice soft and quiet.
He isn't normally loud. Not like his brother Hardcase was, or even Jesse is. But he isn't ever this soft spoken as he is now. If anything his voice is more stern, or even shy. Not secluded and upset like now. The change of tone to his voice only making your chest squeeze more with pain.
You nodded, forcing a small smile back as the two of you snuck into your small room. Taking his hand to lead him to the couch once the door was shut behind the two of you.
"Did you want some tea? Water?" You spoke, but before you could even step foot towards the kitchen he was pulling you down onto the sofa.
You had to admit, you loved that he could resort to you for comfort, but you hated he hadn't removed his armor yet. Or even let you remove your own. What little you wore, at least.
"Rex," you spoke quietly. Hands moving to his back as he laid on top of you. His arms strong arms around your waist. Face buried in the crook of your neck.
"Rex, look at me?" You asked. Hands sliding up to cradle the back of his head, but he didn't budge.
"I can't," his voice was merely a whisper. His body trembling ever so slightly as he clung to you. As if he let go you would disappear from his grasp.
"Rex, what's wrong? You can talk to me, you know?" You reassure him. Rubbing his scalp with one hand. Feeling as he slightly relaxed at the small touch.
"What if I lose you, too?" The words came out of the blue. Yet you expected it. You could almost feel his insecurities and worries leaking from his exhausted brain. Moving to press a soft kiss atop his head.
"Rex, you have me, I'm all yours." He grumbled under his breath at those words. Grip tightening, and it had you shifting to avoid being pinched by the plastoid on his arms.
"No," he snarled a bit. "I mean- I do, I know. Because you have me, but that’s not what I mean." He told you. Keeping his face hidden from.you as he spoke.
"Mesh'la.. What if I can't save you? Like I couldn't save Hardcase, and Fives, and- And all my brothers. What if I lose you, too?" That was the first time you'd heard him say Fives name since the incident. Rubbing his neck as he eased against you.
"Then you'll have to live with it." You were blunt. You didn't know what else to exactly say. You couldn't tell him nothing would happen, because that would most likely be a lie. Even with your bluntness, it seemed to ease him.
"You can't save everyone, Rex." You told him. Shifting upwards. Which had him moving himself as well. So he was now sitting next to you. Facing forwards on the couch. His face, facing away from yours. Tear tracks running down his sun kissed skin. Eyes puffy with sorrow and regret.
"Rex, look at me," you spoke, asking again. Reaching out to run your fingers over his cheek.
"I look ridiculous, don't I?" He asked with a laugh. Turning to face you, slightly. Though his eyes avoided yours.
"A soldier like myself, crying over the inevitable." His words made you nearly tear up. You absolutely despised how people made it seem tears meant signs of weakness. That it meant soldiers weren't soldiers. When in fact, you thought it brought out who people really were.
"Rex, look at me." Your voice was more stern this time. Young both hands to cup his face as his eyes slowly panned over to stare back into yours.
"Listen to me, it's not bad to cry, okay?" You told him. Wiping some tears from his face using your thumbs. "In fact, I think it makes a person stronger." You informed. Leaning forward to press your forehead against his. Watching as he brought a hand up to hold one of your hands to his face. Using the other to cup the side of your own face.
"What did I do to deserve you?" He muttered back. Both of you smiling weakly.
"Rex, you deserve the world," you responded, making him chuckle a bit. Moving your hand and bring it to his lips so he could kiss your palm.
"Then I guess you're my world," he cooed against your hand. Smiling softly as your own bashful smile grew.
"Oh, is that so?" You chuckled. Watching as he pulled your hand down to his lap to intertwine your fingers.
"As a matter of fact you are, you make me want to win this war. Every time I feel like giving up, I think of a life without fighting, with you." He almost whispered. Still sniffling a bit. Eyes shyly looking around. Then back onto your eyes.
You had a look of pure love and adoration on your face. You never really liked being a Jedi, you were basically forced into it. So the fact Rex wanted to settle down. Start a life with you. For you. When the war was over? That had your heart racing. You were the one tearing up now and smiling like an idiot.
"Cyare, are you okay?" Rex asked. Mimicking your actions from before and catching a single tear that rolled down your cheek with his thumb.
"I love you, so much, and you have no idea how much you wanting to live a life with me, means to me." You gushed. It was so random, and ideal. The words making Rex's eyes go wide. He always thought you would think his words were nothing but words. That your guys relationship was a one time deal, during the war and only during the war. But this had his hopes up and his mind planning your future more already.
"No, you have no idea how much it means to me." He corrected. Kissing your lips softly. Your arms wrapping around his neck while he hand the side of your face with one hand. Then your hip with the other.
"Beautiful girl," he cooed, kissing your lips once more. "Starting a life with you is all I ever dream of, and you wanting the same with me? That drives me absolutely wild." He told you, and that had you smiling even more.
You tugged on the armor of his chest piece. Kissing the corner of his lips. Your eyes fluttering shut as he held you close. "Can you take all this off? I wanna hold you." You licked your lips as you waited for him to comply. Though it really didn't take long. Especially since Rex is now in the mood to feel you. Without his armor hiding your gentle touch and soft skin from his own skin.
The first time he felt the softness of your skin was the day he decided that was his new favorite feeling. Stripping from the plastoid and his gloves. Then watching as you did the same. Dropping your robes over the back of the couch. Then taking his hand and leading him back to the your bed.
It was like dragging a love sick teddy bear around. His larger hand locked with yours. Thumb grazing your skin. "What type of home would we have?" You knew questions like this you probably shouldn't ask, but then again. You probably shouldn't even be holding the hand of a captain. Let alone the captain of one of the most well known clone units.
He sighed. Climbing into the bed with you. Lying on his side, you doing the same. Both of you facing one another with arms and legs intermingled. Though far enough apart you could still see one another's face.
"Maybe a farm," he told you. Rubbing your side with soft swipes of his hand. Eyes looking slightly about you as he thought about it. Tucking his one arm under his head as a cushion.
"A farm?" He nodded at your question. Eyes gazing down to you.
"Yeah, you remember Cut? He was the clone that left the GAR. He settled down. Had a farm, wife.. Kids." The word rolled off his tongue like an unasked question. Wonder dancing in his eyes at just the mention of little ones.
Rex had always had hopes of having a family of his own. Little pups running around. Maybe even an army of little ones, if he was lucky. He never brought it up, though. Scared of being shot down at just the mere mention.
You smiled though. Sensing his worry at just the mention of the word. Leaning forward to kiss his chin.
"You want kids?" You asked. Noticing how he shifted and grew anxious at the question.
"I mean, no, well, I wouldn't mind," he spoke a bit quickly. His hand on your hip halting its movement.
"Not until the wars over, of course. So I know they'd be safe. Be able to have a normal life." He admitted. "But only if my partner wants them. Of course." He muttered. Glancing down to meet your eyes. Worried he said too much or not enough.
"Hmm, kids would be fun." Those simple words from you had his lips curling up in a grin.
"Yeah, they would be." You snickered. Kissing his lips once more.
"I'm sure your partner would be lucky to have little Rex's running around." You teased, rolling your eyes slightly with a grin.
"Only if your my partner would I feel lucky," he spoke gently. Caressing your face again. Your eyes staring up into his with a small smile.
"What?" You heard him just fine, but his words still shocked you.
"I want a family with you, on a little farm. Out and away from the city. Where we can just live out happy lives. Away from the war." He told you. Rolling the two of you over so he was hovering above you. Hands on either side of your head.
"And?" You pried. Expecting him to continue the ramble. Waiting for him to gush on about the future he had for the two of you. All stored away in that mind of his.
"And, would you do me the favor of making me the luckiest clone-" you shot him a look. Rex clearing his throat with a small smile. "Man," you smiled at his correction. Awaiting the rest of his spew. "In the galaxy, by living a life with me after the war?" He asked. Watching as you stared up to him with a partially opened mouth.
He was a bit worried you would say no. Even if he knew you wanted it just as bad. That you just admitted to loving him nearly five minutes ago, but the thought of rejection always resurfaced in his anxious mind.
"Rex, I'd love to be the luckiest girl, living by your side. In some shitty farm, with an army of kids." You joked with an eye roll. Nearly gasping as he leant down to capture your lips with his own. Your arms moving to snake around his neck to pull him closer. Eyes falling shut as the kiss continued to deepen.
Your life was complete. Even with the raging war, the deaths that kept coming, and the thought of dying yourself. Rex was there for you, and you were there for him. It was all the two of you needed to keep fighting. To keep living.
Even without the domestic life, and a public relationship. The two of you had more than you could have ever once dreamt of. You had comfort, love, and each other.

thanks again to @dykerory and @willowcrowned for this genius au. this is an incomplete collection of very specific set of headcanons/daydreams i had about a tangential version of your au that made me emotional in the middle of the woods. whenever you feel the time is right, i’m very eager to hear your og version on the ‘but obi-wan, tho!’, because i admittedly pushed this one’s resolution really far chronologically because i wanted batman to be involved.
continuation from here
note: my understanding of dcu is as sporadically informed as my understanding of the gffa.
newly graduated clark kent gets his first journalism job and starts settling more and more into the superman thing. the rest of the justice league has been around but his entrance onto the scene is the one that really inspires the various heroes to actually start coordinating to deal with the weirdness magnet that is dcu Earth. Clark is in his early 20s. Anakin is in his late 30s.
He’s been living on Earth, without the force, for nearly 2/3rds of his life. He has a close knit circle of friends who were kind to him even when they thought he was just a weird and crazy emo cult victim (the gradual increase of public encounters with aliens and superpowers sparks some awkward apologies, Anakin at 38 just waves his friends off, smiling and changing the subject, neither confirming nor denying his high school ramblings of spaceships and magic. it doesn’t really change anything).
He lives an hour’s drive from smallville, and runs a successful auto shop. people travel from pretty far to check out some of his more wild and specialized motorcycle abominations. makes enough money selling them to rich idiots to fund his free auto-class and auto-repair programs for impoverished communities.
It took a while but he eventually came around to the idea of helping people without physical force (ironically, this is happening around the same time Clark is coming to the realization that he can help people with physical force). Generally respected as a pillar of the community. When people start to realize how profoundly weird he is as a person in a number of inexplicable ways, someone will generally pull them aside and quietly whisper that he was in a cult at a child, no one really knows much about it except that it’s what inspired his anti-modern-slavery work, which is a little telling. Not married. Was in a long-term relationship for like 9 years. It didn’t end well but no-one knows the details.
Has several cats.
He’s- wistful but settled. He’s been through a lot of therapy. He meditates every morning and night, clearing his mind and examining his emotions in the way Obi-Wan taught him. He thinks Obi-Wan would be proud of him. He know his Mom would be.
Once he gets used to the idea, he never really stops loving the concept of learning just because. Duel bachelors degree in in african american history and american literature, masters in engineering, masters in astrophysics a phd in theoretical physics, another phd in medieval folklore. He’s worked a lot of jobs.
He was already pretty well versed in astronavigation back at the temple. Over the course of his time on earth, he gets more educated in earth astronomy and physics. With is increased knowledge, his theory for ‘how did i get here’ shifts from slight hyperdrive miscalculation, to big hyperdrive miscalculation, to some sort of hyperlane incident. he realizes that none of the stars he knows are familiar in any NASA database. He must be beyond wildspace, which helps him let go of the last bit of hurt he felt that Obi-Wan never found him.
Then he really learns physics- and- light doesn’t exactly work like that right? He thought it was just primitive Earth understanding but... he gets a phd more or less accidentally, trying and failing to disprove that the speed of life is constant constant.
Get’s another even more accidentally, explaining how alternate universes might form if we assume slightly different universal constants. He publishes his thesis anonymously around the same time metas are becoming a household term, and at least one science journalist speculates on it and how alternate universes might explain the increasing prevalence of wildly different superpowers. He doesn’t claim credit for the honorary diploma awarded to the unknown theorist- he doesn’t want to risk drawing any attention to him and by extension Clark, who’s alien differences are far more of the ‘military experiment interesting’ variety then his.
He stops tinkering with Clark’s ship. He finally gets how it works. Now that he realizes how FTL travel has to work in this universe, tinkering with the mechanical generation and harnessing of the massive quantities of energy necessary to do is startlingly familiar. But it doesn’t matter. No matter how far and fast he travels, he’s never going to be able to get back to the life he used to know.
Perhaps this is what being the chosen one actually means- he’s meant to live a life without the force, so that when he returns to it in death he’ll be able to somehow...educate? the force? maybe?
Ok, he’s not great at the metaphysical spiritual side of things, but he does accept that going back is out of his control, and he’s doing good here, even if it’s not galaxy altering.
Despite all the therapy, he never doubts that his early life was real. He has his saber and deep, deep down he can feel a spark in the kyber. He can’t do anything with it, but it’s there. There’s also pieces of the utter wreck that was his ship in the cellar, next to the sleek unblemished pod that Clark arrived in. Shortly before Clark becomes Superman, he asks for his help in melting down his old ship to make unearthly alloys.
He’s not surprised when Clark tells him he met a ‘real’ ‘magic’ user- it stands to reason that considering how relatively easy it is to convert energy from one form to another in this universe (Clark can fly), at least one kind would bend to sentient willpower in a similar way as the force does.
It’s still a little nervewracking showing his lightsaber to someone new for the first time in a decade. Zantana scrutinizes, bewildered.
“There is some sort of power locked within, but it’s unfamiliar to me,” she admits finally. “I could probably brute force it and force the energy to release itself, but it would likely destroy the container.” Anakin politely refuses.
Later, after the justice league’s formation, Clark mentions to J’onn that he has a friend who might be able to work on his ship. J’onn is extremely doubtful when he’s brought to a bizarre autoshop in the midwest that looks half-like a roadside attraction. Anakin sighs and digs his hands into the guts of the craft, muttering incomprehensibly and yelling at clark to melt down some pieces from the special scrap pile. A few days later he explains the patches he’s done to an impressed J’onn. When he asks how a human came to learn such things, he’s absently informed that,
“I used to work in a junkshop in Tatooine. All sorts of ship parts came through.”
“I’m unfamiliar with this world.”
“Tell you what, if you ever meet anyone who’s heard it of it, send them my way, and I’ll make your next repair free.”
“Oh! I’m afraid I don’t have any earth money...”
“Ugh, of course you don’t. it’s cool, capitalism sucks anyway and everyone’s entitled to free transportation, regardless of the area they happen to live. I do ask that if you can’t pay for the repairs that you spend an equivalent number of hours either attending one of my free auto classes, or volunteer at a community-led charities of your choice, here I’ll get you a pamphlet-”
So the Martian Manhunter becomes a weekly volunteer at a Midwestern Food Waste Reclamation Facility. J’onn J’onzz ends up becoming Anakin Skywalker’s friend well before he becomes comes truly comfortable around Kal-El. For a telepath, 39 year old Anakin’s Jedi orderly mind is a soothing relief.
(again, Anakin has spent far more time meditating on Earth then he ever did at the temple. Before all this, spent five years dutifully memorizing the Jedi way even as he struggled to live up it’s basic practices. For the first few years on earth, religiously practicing every meditation technique Obi-Wan ever taught him, thinking obsessively about the philosophies he never had time to really process, is just a desperate attempt to reconnect with the force, prove himself worthy of it. But even after he gives up on ever touching the force again, he keeps up the practice, he can’t release his emotions exactly, but he does find peace. The tendency to stop mid-rant to earnestly pronounce made up zen bullshit and then sit quietly for an hour before picking up on his tirade again as though there was no interruption is one of the things many things people find profoundly weird about him)
Kal-El doesn’t stop asking new aliens and dimensional travelers if they’ve ever heard of Coruscant, or Hutts, or the Jedi Order. Anakin might have given up, but Superman remembers his older brother scrubbing away his own tears to focus on helping Clark calm down enough to touch the floor again. The more the Kryptonian’s powers developed in alarming ways, the more Anakin set aside talk of missing his home galaxy. Anakin might have claimed it wasn’t like that, but Clark was determined to take every chance his increasingly weird life threw at him, no matter how vanishingly small.
In the middle of his first battle with Braniac, Clark starts insulting his incomplete database. The world collector pauses, demanding a more precise explanation. Clark complies, giving his best technical description of Coruscant’s cityscape, Tatooine’s binary star system, and so on. Braniac is so distracted that Superman recovers completely from his kryptonite poisoning and easily saves the day.
Neither the lantern corp or the denizens of the neutral zone have the answers. Superman doesn’t mention it it Anakin, but he never stops looking and listening.
“How did you even meet that guy?” Flash asks curiously after stopping to say hello on one of their after work laps of the country.
“Aliens among us support group,” Kal-El responds deadpan.
“Oh. Wait, what? He’s an alien? I thought he was from the future or something! You’re messing with me. No way that’s a thing. How many people are in the support group? This is a joke, right?”
“Sorry, most of them aren’t out and I don’t want to violate their privacy- a lot of them have high profile jobs. How do you think I met J’onn?”
“SUPES I’M FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW YOU’VE GOTTA STOP”
Anakin is just sort of vaguely known by a solid chunk of the super community as ‘that one midwestern zen space mechanic’ and no one really questions it because everyone’s life has just gotten so goddamn weird. A few of them know he used to be a space wizard of some kind. Space wizards now being a regular hazard of life on earth, no one has reason to doubt this, and it’s as good an explanation as any for Anakin’s general vibe.
well. almost no one doubts this. Batman does not simply accept Anakin’s general bullshittery without carefully investigating and drawing his own conclusions. He does not share these with anyone.
But one day Clark- this is well after Superman became Kal-El to him, and not long after Kal-El tells him to call him Clark- comes up to him and asks for his help finding about an alternate universe. Knowing and dreading where this is going, Batman stalls,
“Shouldn’t you be asking one of the league members who regularly travels between universes?”
“I have, over the years,” Clark admits, awkwardly scuffing a boot on the floor of the cave. “But no one’s familiar with the exact one I’m looking for, and I thought since you’re a detective, and also one of the smartest people I know, you might be able to help me...”
“You’re an investigator yourself, and you can survive the vacuum of space,” Bruce shoots back flatly. “I’ve told you before Gotham is my priority, and this has ‘personal project’ all over it.”
“Come on, B, please,” Superman pleads, trailing Batman around the cave like an overgrown puppy. “In a few months it will have been 30 years! He’s my brother! Just let me see the research you’ve already done!”
“Who says I’ve already done research on your brother?”
Clark shoots him a look. And Bruce concedes the point with a grunt.
“I’ll need need to talk with him first,” Bruce finally concedes. “Bring him by the cave. Take the-”
“Take the tunnel entrance, I know, I know,” Clark agrees with a grin. “This doesn’t mean he’s authorized to know your secret identity. Thanks Bruce, this means a lot. I’ll ask him tomorrow about his schedule.”
Superman flies off and Batman scrubs his face with a gloved hand. After a moment he pulls up Anakin’s file on the main monitor. Bruce honestly respects and likes the man, as much as he respects and likes anyone who’s not family. He admires his sense his style, appreciates his upgrades to the batmobile, and is impressed by both this civil rights work and his additions to the scientific community.
That doesn’t mean he’s not convinced that Anakin’s brother is a bit insane. Again, he’s not judging! He dresses like a bat to scare random henchmen and beat up actual demigods! He wishes his rogues gallery was as capable of directing their ptsd-inspired delusions and staggering intellects towards such productive pursuits!
Bruce was already in quiet awe of the Kent’s ability to raise an outrageously superpowered being without blowing up a chunk of the country; their success in derailing a supervillian origin story just puts him over the edge. He stares at the three most likely profiles he’s pulled together. Christen Jones, from a negligent family, death certificate filled out suspicously sloppily at age 3. Earl Lucas, went missing at age 9, both parents dead in a violent assault. And Jake Hayden, who at age 5 disappeared along with the rest of his family in a seismic accident later linked to Luthercorp.
Anyone of them could have suffered on the streets for years and coped by establishing an elaborate fantasy world, aided by self medication, only to eventually be picked up by the Kent’s and start healing. Certainly Anakin had the intellect to create worlds in his mind. All his rogues were smart enough to create their own little realities in their heads- it doesn’t mean they were actually reachable.
Unfortunately Anakin had a Kryptonian younger brother who was determined to actually find the space wizard knight homeworld, even as the 'Jedi’ in question had slowly moved away his reliance on the delusion as an adult. Batman really didn’t see any way bringing up his conclusions to Anakin or Clark could possibly be helpful, and so many alien allies had a ‘If you find about the Jedi please contact Kal-El of Krypton on Earth’ pamphlet that it would be excruciatingly awkward to try and discretely correct anyone.
Bruce was not looking forward to this conversation.

A ball| Tup
Note: they did not need to make him that Pretty
Warnings: no not really, just Tup and Y/n fallin in love and steamy scene at the very end but kinda not really, also this is really long
Reader: female
Part 1 | 2 (in the works)
"Checkmate," Satine spoke.
"Damn it..." Y/n muttered, hand on her chin as Satine had one yet again another game.
Satine smiled at her, as Y/n tried reading the board seeing how it had exactly happened.
"Duchess, excuse me." A guard interrupted their leisurely game outside in the guards of the castle.
"It's no problem, what seems to be the problem?" Satine questioned.
"The preparations for the ball are underway, the royal seamstress says your outfits are done and asks if you both can approve of them."
"Yes of course," Satine spoke, two more guards walking up with boxes.
"Oh. no, I'm quite okay," Y/n responded, resetting the black and clear glass pieces.
"Y/n, you are turning 19, my dear, you'll need to look presentable," Satine spoke.
"Dutchess I believe I look presentable, I'm quite comfortable like this as well," Y/n told.
"I know my sweet child, you've always been comfortable with the bare minimum, but please, let me spoil you for one day," Satine responded.
Y/n was quiet as she set the final piece down, "very well..."
Satine smiled as she stood up to look inside the box and approve the dress, Y/n sat in thought, Satine wasn't her mother, no they looked drastically different after all, Y/n had been left in a bush in the palace gardens, Satine finding the child alone and in silence, busying herself with one of the flowers. Satine had gladly kept the child inside the palace walls until a parent came along, but no one ever came and Satine was suddenly a mother.
"Mistress." The guard spoke snapping her out of thought.
"Oh uh, yes." Y/n spoke standing up from her seat, and looking at the creme outfit with barely a glance, "Yes, it's beautiful, tell the Seamstress 100 thanks."
The guard nodded covering the box as they all bowed and left, Satine frowned, "Come walk. Let's talk my daughter."
"General Skywalker, do, do we really have to go as well?" Tup questioned, droids handing them all dark blue suits almost black in color, and matte.
"Yes, Obi-Wan was double security at this event for the Dutchess, and I agree with him," Anakin spoke, "Separatist parties will be there, Duchess Satine has a knack for being able to convince people, and with Padame they're practically an unstoppable team."
"But," Tup spoke, "Sir a, a party?"
"Diplomatic party, you'll be fine Tup."
Anakin then walked away to let his boys get ready and go get himself ready.
"I look good," Fives spoke checking himself out in the mirror.
"It's nice to wear something besides armor." Hardcase commented, "Makes me feel like a civie."
"A civie that just has thousands of replicas." Dogma argued.
"Oh get the stick out your ass," Jesse argued, "We can have fun for the one time in our life on the job,"
"Hey," Kix placed a hand on Tup's shoulder, "You okay?"
"Huh? Yeah," Tup spoke, "Crowds, uh aren't my thing."
"I'll make sure Rex posts you on the patio outside, you won't be around too many people then," Kix told.
"No, It's fine, I'm on the job- I'll, uh...just focus on that," Tup responded.
"Are you sure?"
Tup nodded as Kix returned the nod in understanding, going back to dressing himself, Tup went over to his bunk to dress, he'd admit, even though he was the same as everyone else in that room, he still felt shy, being a bit leaner than the others he started pulling his armor off to dress in the new outfit, simply putting the outfit over his blacks.
"What- No! Hey I want a titty window!" Fives argued.
"No," Echo demand, buttoning up his brother's shirt fixing Fives vest as well.
Tup stayed silent as he buttoned up the shirt, tucking it into the slacks and putting on the matching vest.
"OH Ho HO!" Fives whistled, "Look at Tup!"
"Yeah, thanks," Tup spoke, fixing the collar of his shirt, and pushing up the sleeves.
"Come on! Let your hair down! We're going somewhere fancy!"
"I'm good." Tup spoke
"He's way to excited for this." Dogma protested causing Tup to chuckle.
"You look nice." Tup commented.
"Uh. Yeah I guess." Dogma spoke.
The two had gotten close due to one another due to being not only regular troopers with no rank, but due to there quietness.
"OH HO HO! LOOK WHO JUST CAME IN! GENERAL TANO!"
The boys turned there head whistling playfully.
"Bad bitch is the house."
She wore a pinstrip pant suit, the lines orange on white fabric and a pair of heels. She laughed.
"We're almost there." She spoke, "Skyguy wants us on the transports now."
Tup followed suit of everyone else. Everyone doing as asked, it was odd, seeing everyone dressed up all fancy and nice.
Y/n sighed.
"Look up madame. They'll be plenty fine gentlemen there." A maid tried to pursuade, "or a woman if you'd prefer."
"Yes. I know." Y/n responded mindlessly, nose stuck in the book about game tactics, her goal to be her mother, "mhm. I've never tried that before."
The maid sighed finishing y/n's hair in the crowned braid.
"Look look beautiful."
"Mhm."
The maid frowned, and there was a knock on the door. It opened as Satine came in, the maid bowing and leaving quickly.
"You're nose still stuck in a book. You remind me much of Obi-wan."
"Is the party over yet?" Y/n questioned flipping the page.
"It hasnt even began my dear." Satine spoke, expecting a comment back Y/n kept silent sitting infront of her simple vanity it black in color and matched the bench she sat on.
Satine walked over, taking the open spot next to Y/n.
"What is wrong me dear?" Satine inquired, "You don't avidly read strategic books unless something is wrong."
Y/n sighed, marking the book with a string and setting it down.
"I. I just don't wish to go." Y/n responded.
"It is much bigger than that isn't it?" Satine refered, catching Y/n in her lie.
"I." Y/n sighed, "I am nervous."
"For what my darling?"
"People." Y/n responded, "I. This. People...it's...I dont have the skills."
"Well of course you do,"
"I've never been out the palace walls, I've never fallen in love, I've never been taken advantage of- I just- Don't know anything about people," y/n defended "I've never even seen another sential species besides the holograms and images in my books that use words. I know every launage out there but have never met there people- I-"
"Calm down, take a deep breathe." Satine soothed, "everything will be fine. I will be at your side. The whole time, and you know me. Don't you?"
Y/n nodded as Satine smiled, "You're turning 19 my dear, becoming a young woman. You can do this, and I will guide you through whatever you ask."
Y/n only nodded once more, "now. Lets put our. Pain killing heels on and make haste shall we? Guest are arriving and I'd like to introduce you to your very first group of friends, but first."
Y/n watched as Satine pulled out a box, "I had something much. Much more elaborate my birthday, but you I know. Like to keep things as simple as possible."
Y/n took the small box in hand. Opening the golden box there was a small golden crown, it reminded her of a laurel wreath, yet without as many leaves, a few littered around the gold band with a stone that was ment to set on her forehead.
"For you're love of nature a green stone." Satine spoke.
"Its beatiful, thank you." Y/n spoke softly pulling it out of its box.
"Allow me." Satine spoke, y/n handing it over and bowing her head, Satine with a smile set the item on her head.
Y/n raised her head back up, "quiet beatiful you have become."
Y/n smiled smallly, "now. Shall we make haste? To make new friends?"
Y/n nodded smally as Satine smiled.
With that they were off, y/n following Satine dressed up nice, and thanked maker for the soleless sandles given to her instead of heels.
Y/n wouldn't lie, when General Kenobi arrived as they walked out onto the royal landing pad she found no interest in him, bowing her head respectfully, she did the same with Anakin. A bit more intrigued with Ashoka, but nothing pictures hadn't depicted. A man stood next to Anakin, who was soon introduced as Captain Rex. Y/n welcomed and thanked him for coming, but besides that, she was silent during the conversation.
"Sir, apologies for interrupting."
"It's fine, Jesse go ahead," Anakin spoke, Y/n watching the man with a large tattoo on his face gave a brief report to his general as the two joined the tight group of talkers.
Y/n was intrigued with the man next to him, hair tied back in a bun as his brother in arms talked. He too seemed the silent type, staying behind Jesse's shoulder rather than next to him, it was a slight difference Y/n realized.
"Lady Y/n, these are two are some of my finest men, Jesse and Tup."
"Lady Y/n" Jesse spoke bowing his head.
"Nice to meet you," Tup spoke nervously, his hand outreached for a handshake, Jesse quickly pulling his brother's hand down who was already a nervous wreck.
"Apologies for my brother! He doesn't know how to act!" Jesse scolded elbowing Tup slightly who was already shaming himself mentally and Y/n could sense it, but Jesse was already dragging him away with an insane amount of apologies as he left.
Y/n watched as they got far enough away to where Jesse had started to drag Tup by the collar of his shirt.
"Lively bunch aren't they?" Satine questioned Y/n who nodded.
"My apologies Duchess, Lady Y/n. The 501st is not very big on tradition, and neither is there general." Obi-Wan scolded as Anakin shrugged.
"It's okay." Y/n finally spoke up, causing heads to turn, "I, um, apologizes. Duchess if I may."
"Yes, you can go ahead," Satine spoke worried for the girl as she rushed off quickly.
"Will she be okay?" Ashoka questioned.
"She has no social skills, and on top that, no friends her age," Satine spoke solemnly, "I wish to help her but she's a closed book."
"Have I got the perfect trooper for her to make friends with," Anakin responded
"You're not sending Fives or Hardcase over to her, if anyone to watch her it'll be Cody, at least he can stay on task," Obi-wan argued.
"I think me and my master have the same idea," Ashoka smirked.
"I- I'm sorry general- Me?" Tup questioned.
"Yes I need a clone with Lady Y/n at all times, and since she seems to like you after a slip up that could have cost us a whole war," Anakin spoke, "You're watching her,"
"General! I. I can't watch her! I. I. I. I have patrol!" Tup tried to argue.
"Kix is on patrol now, she's supposedly back in her room," Anakin spoke.
"Her- what!?" Tup argued.
"one of the guards will escort you thanks again."
"Wait! General!" Tup argued but he was walking away and waving to Tup happily.
"Are you the clone trooper known as Tup?" A guard asked walking up to him.
"yes, but wait a minute!-"
"This way."
Tup had no option but to follow a guard at his back and his front as they escorted him to the room. Anxiety racked his body, his hands clammy and squeezing each other as he gulped, the guards stopping and knocking.
"Mistress your escort is here."
"Oh, yes," Y/n spoke quietly, "He may come in alone."
The guards posted outside her room as Tup pushed one of the doors opened, he walked in silently and closed the door behind him carefully.
Looking straight on the large french doors were opened to a patio. Walking towards the open doors he found Y/n sitting on the floor a stack of books beside her with a chessboard by her side, her knees raised to her chest as her dress was laid out around her.
"I'm uh, your guard for the dance," Tup spoke, his thumb pressing into his palm.
"You can go back, I'm not going," Y/n told him, her mouth and jaw covered by her arms propped on her knees.
"oh, uh..." Tup spoke, not knowing what to do.
Y/n looked beside her, "You can sit, maybe you'll get in less trouble that way?"
He nodded in agreement, taking a seat on one side of the chess board. They sat in silence against the wall. Tup looking down at the pieces of the board set up on their respective sides, his clammy hands couldn't help but move a piece. Y/n looked overhearing the crystal click on the board. Looking down she picked up a piece and moved it, Tup moving his next piece without a word. Y/n looked down at the board, her legs falling from her chest and onto the ground flat as she looked over in thought. Picking up her next piece she took his pawn, setting it down on the side. As they played they could hear the talk of guests starting to come to the palace. Due to where Y/n's room was it wasn't much to hear, just the occasional burst of loud laughter.
"Ah yes! Yes!" One laughed spoke loudly, "I love the stars!"
Y/n suddenly came with an outburst the came with the man's hearty laugh, "I have loved the stars to foundly-"
"-to be fearful of the night." Tup finished moving his next piece.
Y/n's moved her gaze up softly then chuckled, "Mythology lover?"
"When I have the time, I mostly learn through tell and hear," Tup responded watching Y/n capture another piece.
It was silent again as Tup captured yet another piece, his eyes drifting over to her stack of books. Eyes glancing over the titles.
"H.P Lovecraft?" Tup questioned Y/n nodding.
"I find his stories interesting, I enjoy the horror genere as a whole." Y/n smiled moving her next peice, "do you like horror?"
Tup nodded, "I do occasionally, again hear and tell mostly."
Y/n nodded, "come with me."
Y/n stood up, walking into her room, Tup watching her.
"Come on." Y/n gestured holding out a hand for him.
He took it gently and was pulled up from his spot on the floor. Y/n led him by the hand into her room and towards a wall pushing on a certain spot a small door opened. Y/n leaned down walking through the door as Tup followed, Y/n closed the door behind them.
"Woah."
Y/n smiled, "the palace library."
"I am the only one who's ever in here." Y/n contuined.
The two walked side by side, out from the side of the room and into the center of the room. Tup turned around to speak, but he watched her pass a dusty window, the sun set passing in through cobwebs and dusty, shining on her think crown, her dress flowly and made up of multiple thin layers of fabric.
He gulped as she turned her head, stopping in her spot.
"What's wrong?"
"I," he started but stopped for a momment, "My name, its. It's Tup. I don't know if you-"
"Remember you?" Y/n questioned, "I do."
She walked up to him a hand extended, "Y/n."
He smiled as they shook hands.
"Tup." He introduced himself once again as they chuckled lightly.
They pulled away, Y/n's hands clasped infront of her.
"Well Tup its very nice to meet you again."
"Its nice to meet you too Lady Y/n."
"Lady Y/n!"
She took a quick step back from her closeness with Tup, clearing her throat.
"Oh thank maker..." the gaurd spoke under his breathe, "the duchess wishes for you to greet your guest."
Y/n nodded softly, "Well. Let's go?"
Tup nodded, the two leaving side by side in silence. They two making there way down to the main set of doors which led to the throne room.
"Lady Y/n." Obi-wan spoke, "The Duchess ask I escort you in while introduced."
"Oh." Y/n spoke looking at Tup he gave her an akwards thumb up, she chuckled and smiled at him with a nod.
Y/n smiled Obi wan extending an arm, Y/n linking arms with the Jedi General. The doors opened as they walked forward.
"Introducing Lady Y/n! Daughter of Dutchess Satine! Next in line for the throne!"
Y/n and Obi-wan walked forward people clearing a straight shot to her mother. Her and Obi-wan walked forward, feeling the stares on her she kept silent. It soon because uncomfortable, feeling the gaze more than just simple admiration or awe. She tensed as they walked making her to the steps to Satines throne. She pulled away from Obi-wan, bowing her head to her mother as she walked up, a smaller throne simplistic like how Y/n liked it and took a simple seat, she watched Tup sneak into the room carefully standing next to a man who had a medical band on his arm with his suit, before everyone started to fill the room again.
Satine stood up, she was making a speech Y/n zoned out, it was a greeting, thanking everyone personally for coming to celebrate Y/n's transition into womenhood.
"That's why I am glad to speak, Y/n's hand is extended for potential marraige candidates!"
Y/n sat up shocked, and Satine thanked everyone once again and took a seat. Everyone going back to chatting.
"Excuse me!? Marraige?" Y/n argued.
"It is a formality you do not have to marry anyone."
"Im not taking anyone into consideration," Y/n defended, crossing her arms and leaning back in her seat.
"Lady Y/n-"
"No." Y/n spoke, she was beyond annoyed.
"Thank you for your time..." he spoke bowing his head and walking away heart broken.
Y/n rejected any man that came up to try and give there hand to her.
Tup watched from afar, Kix and Dogma by his side. Men contuined to go up to her and as more and more did she seemed more and more irratated. He quickly walked away from his brothers would watched him out of confusion.
Watching him walk up to the thrown he started walking up the steps.
"Y/n," Tup spoke, holding a hand out for her, "I'd like to spend time with you, perhaps a dance?"
"Hey! Buddy wait in line!" A man argued but Y/n looked at Tup thanks in her eyes.
The lighting on him seemed perfect, he back lit perfectly, his eyes holding a smile along with his lips. Y/n grabbed his hand lightly as Tup helped her up, the two walking down the stairs hand in hand.
"Thank you." Y/n spoke they now in the crowd of people.
"Seems you needed it," Tup answered as Y/n chuckled.
"To the libary?"
"Actually," Tup spoke quietly, "I'd...like to have a dance with you."
Y/n flushed, "t-that sounds good. Yeah."
It was almost on cue did everyone backed up circling people who wanted to dance, Y/n and Tup in the center of it.
"Um. Tup." Y/n spoke.
"Hm?"
"Do you know how to dance?"
"Oh. Uh." Tup spoke, "no actually, do. Do you?"
Y/n shook her head no. The two laughing together as the music started.
"Suppose we should act like we're doing and maybe we'll fall in?" Y/n laughed.
Tup smiled in return, "I suppose."
The music started as they watched other, a simple waltz. Y/n and Tup luckily able to copy others, hands which once were placed in hand on on him, soon became more intimate, fingers intertwining. Tup's hand moving from her hip to the small of her back, she leaning into his touch just a bit more.
"Not bad." Y/n spoke softly, "we're doing decent."
Tup chuckled softly in return, "I suppose us clones learn quick."
"Clone?" Y/n questioned, "you're a clone?"
Tup looked at her confused, "You. You don't know that?" He questioned confused.
"I." Y/n spoke, "I don't mean to sound, uh, Rude."
Tup frowned, maybe she was an avid clone hater?
"I um. Havent payed much attention, to your face, my apologies." Y/n spoke, a flush coming to her cheeks.
"Am I offensive?" Tup questioned.
"No. No. Not at all." Y/n spoke, "On the contrary actually. I. Find you most appealing, your. Voice and presence is quiet soothing. You're a good man."
It was Tup's turn to flush, spinning her around softly as everyone else did. Her dress picking up just the slightest at the ends. Pulling her back into his grasp, it was sudden for both of them, there chest pressed up against one another, faces close, Tup's hand now across the small of her back grabbing her other hip as he lowered her into a dip, Y/n's arm around his neck as he did.
The claps of everyone was muffled in there ears.
Tup's nose brushing against hers as he tilted his head softly, Y/n stopping him with a hand on hie jaw , and she was raised up again in a flash.
"I. Im sorry" Tup apologized, everyone still clapping as Y/n bowed to him red faced.
"I...must go." Y/n spoke quickly rushing away and into the crowd.
"Wait!" Tup called rushing after her, she rushing out the throne room.
"My lady-"
"Im quiet fine a game of tag is all." Y/n defended rushing off, the urge of wanting Tup so bad fueling her feet as she ran from him.
Tup rushed looking both ways, "Which way did she go?"
"Left sir-"
Tup rushed after her, his shoes clicking against the marble floors of the palace as he ran. Seeing her take a turn up ahead he called her name once more, following her quick steps, she rushed into her ungaurded room and closing the door behind her.
Making it to the doors he panted for a moment, soon calming his breath he knocked on the door.
"Please! Y/n I did not mean to upset you!" He begged, "I. I should have asked asked you! I should have never just jumped into it!"
Y/n quiet as she leaned against the door, her body pressed up against it to keep it closed, he seemed genuinely angered with himself, and worried for her.
"I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable." Tup spoke softly, "I...just..."
Y/n stayed silent listening.
"I. Seen you for the first time walking up with my brother to report to General Skywalker..." he informed, "I had no idea someone could look so beautiful until I seen you, then. Well then we started that chess game."
Y/n's cheeks grew red as she listened, her heart starting to drop its quickly put up walls.
"You just spoke and It was beautiful. I. I'm not good with words either. I." He sighed, "I didn't realize someone like me could have so much in common with you... half the time my brothers don't like any same things as me. And we're all copies of each other."
The knot in her stomach grew as she gulped, "I. Tup. Its not that I'm mad at you."
Tup was surprised to hear an answer, "I. I think you're quiet beatiful, I. I just...I've never..."
"Y/n you do not need to explain yourself to me." Tup told her.
"Just. Let me finish." Y/n spoke calmly, "I've, well. Tup. I. I. I've never kissed anyone."
Y/n stopped waiting for a laugh, or even a 'yeah right', but she got a sincere chuckle trying to break the ice, "neither have I."
It was a surpise to Tup when the door opened softly, Y/n's flushed face being seen due to the light of the hall.
"Are you okay?" Tup questioned Y/n nodding her gaze to the floor.
"We're you being..serious?" Y/n questioned softly.
Tup nodded, growing nervous himself.
"Would you..umm. like too?" Y/n questioned, "kiss me?"
"I..um." tup spoke his face full red, "yes.."
Y/n opened up the door a bit more so he could come in, taking the hint he walked in the room dark. His eyes not having to adjust as the French doors which were uncovered let in moonlight.
Y/n closed the door quietly, locking it behind her so they'd be uninterrupted. He turned his head watching her walk towards him.
Oh maker.
They stood infront of each other nervously, refusing to make eye contact. Y/n with a shaking hand reached out her hand, her fingers dancing along his shoulder as he looked down.
"Tup. I." Y/n spoke, her other arm following her first one on the other side of his head his hands slipping onto her hips.
Nerves in a bundle they tensed in one anothers arms, faces leaning in slowly, noses brushed up against one another. A few of Tup's fingers tapped and tilted her face to the side as he tilted his own face the other way.
"Tup...Im nervous." Y/n whispered against his lips, "what happens if...if i like it too much?"
"I'll do anything you ask me..." he mummbled her hot breathe hitting his lips.
It was silent for another momment, Y/n's eyes slolwy closing as Tup's followed. They leaning in the small space as there lips pressrd against each others. The bundle of nerves melting away and falling into ribbions that slowly started to knot.
The kiss was, cute, nothing more than pressing there lips against one another and then pulled away little space between there lips, a new found hunger filled the both of them, Tup pressing forward in a much more passionate kiss, y/n kissed back, lips dancing against one another. Y/n pushed into Tup. Breathe heavy through the armature kisses. Tup mindlessly picked Y/m up, her legs wrapping around his waist as they contuined to kiss. Walking over to her bed he placed her down carefully, climbing over her body.
Kiss only breaking for air, "Do. Do you want this?" Tup questioned, things had moved awfully fast and turned into a one night stand, love filled relationship neither could explain.
Y/n nodded, "Only from you"
"Are you sure? I don't want you unsatisfied." Tup spoke honestly.
"If its you I'll never be unsatisfied." Y/n told him, the two kissing again, Tup holding his like a peice of glass under him.
"I love you." Tup whispered against her lips.
"I love you too Tup." She spoke back. Tup kissing her once more.
