Everyone is begging netflix and prime - which is amazing and I love everyone in this bar - but how about we petition the FX network as well?

Taika already has a strong working relationship with FX because of What We Do In The Shadows and Reservation Dogs. He has been a cash cow for the network and, frankly, it would behoove FX to add more of his content.

Just to let y’all know, HBO/MAX is participating in a marketing tactic that Netflix, Prime Video, and other streaming platforms have been using lately to get attention and subscribers before intentionally dropping queer shows. I can’t find the video I watched about it on YouTube, but it’s the same thing Fox, WB (now CW,) and UPN did in the ‘90s. At the time, the way to get decent ratings for fledgling networks was to make lots of content geared towards the Black community. Then when they had high enough ratings, phase those out and make shows geared towards the audience they really wanted, which was white people. So the new version of that is to put LGBTQ+ shows on streaming services, which generates free advertisement by people talking about it on the internet, whether favorably or negatively, then dropping them due to “unfortunate circumstances” and making stuff for cis het viewers instead. It’s all marketing, none of it is personal, or for love of the art, or anything. It’s such disgusting bullshit and I hate it here.

Im so pissed about this. Why can’t the show creators and their distributors discuss how long they should expect the show to be and agree on finishing it within that agreed upon length instead of this nonsense??

I’m afraid to start watching ANYTHING at this point cus there’s always gonna be a chance they cancel it after one season despite the viewership and criticism.

Today, Prime Video announced that it has confirmed that the global, fan-favorite series Good Omens will return for a third and final season. They have confirmed, as follows:

• The third season will comprise of one 90 minute episode starring Michael Sheen and David Tennant who return as the angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley, respectively. • Prime Video is delighted to bring its global customers a gripping conclusion to the ineffable journey between Aziraphale and Crowley. • Production is expected to begin in early 2025 in Scotland and the third season will premiere on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. • The forthcoming season will bring to life a serendipitous conversation from almost 35 years ago, between the late Sir Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, where they mapped out “what happens next” to the wonderful characters in the world of their internationally best-selling novel. • The first season of Good Omens launched globally as a limited series on Prime Video in May 2019, and became a worldwide hit. It should have yeah. It should have been 6 episodes so the seasons would make 666, now it's 661.

Is Neil Gaiman involved?

According to the press he will not be working on it as such though he "contributed to the writing", I mean the third season is based on what he and Terry had outlined together and he started to write into the scripts so I guess it couldn't be done without?

It is okay to feel sad or upset if your safe space doesn't feel the same way it did right now. It doesn't mean it won't feel safe again one day. Life and situations ebb and flow, and circumstances change, as much as we always want good things to stay the same. Good things can come from change too. Our magnificent and kind friend @xray-vex shared a screenshot on twitter the other day of this tumblr post and I thought it was incredibly appropriate to how a lot of people have been expressing they've been feeling lately.

I know sometimes it feels like you have to respond to that tweet, or get into that discourse, but if you don't have the energy, just remember you don't owe anything to anyone. You are wonderful the way you are, and you deserve to enjoy your space too. If it feels like too much, take a break, watch a new show, read a new book, step away if you need to. Or if re-watching our pirate show would help-- feel absolutely welcome to do that too. Whatever YOU need for YOU. It will be different for everyone, and there is no shame in wanting to do something different to make you feel better.
