the most difficult thing about growing as a person socially, as in getting out of your shell and noticing that you are, is that there will still be times when it doesn’t feel like you’ve grown at all! times when you can’t really connect with anyone around you, times when you fail to enter into an existing conversation, times when you say the wrong thing (or nothing at all when in hindsight you probably should’ve). but that’s also kind of the best thing, because that’s the thing that helps you realize that sometimes, it’s not you or your lack of skills or any shortcoming. sometimes certain environments just aren’t for you and certain people aren’t your people, and that’s okay. that’s human. it’s okay to not feel the progress you have made all the time.

People trying to figure out why Captain Marvel is more tolerant to some heroes than others. Hear me out.

So we’ve all seen Captain Marvel is very fond of Superheroes and is nice to everyone right? Now I present ACAB Billy Batson only selecting which hero he likes.

He will still be nice to other heroes, he doesn’t start fights (is this man can hold out on punching a Guy Gardner who makes it his mission to see him snap, he can be nice to anyone). But he won’t be close to them.

He’s close to Cyborg, Plasticman, WonderWoman and surprisingly Batman. He’ll start conversations with them, he’ll share recipes and want to hang out with them.

What’s weird is that he will not initiate conversation with the Green lanterns (space cops), Doctor Fate (magic cop), Flash (works for the cops) and surprisingly Nightwing (he’s basically a hero cop, black and blue with batons and electricity, and he gives cop aura he can’t explain why).

Flash is devastated. Nightwing is devastated. Officer Grayson is devastated. For some reason, if he’s in the premise, he will be the one targeted by Captain Marvel. No one knows what he did. Everyone think it’s funny.

Hawkwoman (former cop) became one of his favourites after he saw her publicly fight cops. She doesn’t know why he really likes her, but she finds it flattering.

When he gets outed as ACAB, he becomes Hawkwomans favourite. They are ACAB buddies.

Urgent: Help Us Not Get Screwed

Anyone who follows us has seen us screaming from the hill-tops about our current crowdfunding campaign for Aether Beyond the Binary (17 aetherpunk stories! Outside the gender binary main characters!). We've only got 50 hours left...and we just got screwed.

Our Anthology Kickstarter is being scammed.

About two hours ago, with us still roughly $1,500 from our goal, we got a junk pledge for almost $2,000. This pushed us into being marked as "funded" but there is zero chance it's a real pledge, it's from a shell account marked as being in Turkey. This kind of money doesn't just fall like a miracle into the laps of small business like ours.

The timing on this attack is devastating. The final 48 hours of a campaign are absolutely critical, especially for one as close to meeting our goal as we are. We were very likely to hit our target, but doing so was going to require appeals to y'all that started with "hey, we're so close, please help spread the word." Further, the campaign has hundreds of followers who will get a notification at the 48 hour mark, and many who might have backed to help get us to the finish line will now think "oh, they're there, they don't need me," and not back. Meanwhile, one of two things will happen with the spam pledge: either it will get removed by Kickstarter, which could take hours or a day+, totally nuking us during this crucial window, or it won't get removed until the payment bounces post-campaign, at which point we won't actually have enough money to do fulfillment.

Either way, we are fucked.

Please, please don't let these dipshits ruin the love and passion that 30+ people have poured into this project for over a year.

Our campaign IS NOT FUNDED, and it won't be without help. I'm begging, help spread the word about how we're getting screwed, and help spread the word about Aether Beyond the Binary (visit the link for so much info!) so that we can get enough real pledges to fund this project we've poured our hearts and souls into.

Bet Soap shuts down all the diet talk around the office girls by generally being outraged that they're talking about how they should do this diet or that diet (all of them wildly unacceptable to him from a health standpoint, like fuck off you work on a military base 400 calories for a day is NOT ON) and then loudly saying he is going to fuck some self worth into them while already taking his clothes off. There is a massive sigh and Gaz drags him out of there while profusely apologising (but also telling them to meet him at lunch and if they want to talk about good eating habits he can help).

Soap will spend the rest of the day pacing and grumbling under his breath about how much he would die to get stuck into these girls and how he cannot believe they think they're not hot as fuck.

belated dragoncon post!! happy to say that i finally finished my aziraphale cosplay, it only took me over a year lol…. and if it weren’t for the kindness of this fandom i probably wouldn’t have been able to go. i had such a rough couple months leading up to the con i was sort of preparing myself to have to cancel, but things worked out in the end. dragoncon is that one big thing i look forward to every year so im really glad i was able to see it through!! on to next year!
