Is there really a large contingent of game developers that get upset about dataminers? I'd argue this is an attitude I see more in game players than any other demographic, and the reason those people don't like the concept of datamining is because, to them, it's functionally the same thing as spoiling the contents of a book, or seeing different parts of a carnival attraction outside of their intended context.

Of course, it's not really the act of datamining in of itself that does this, but what comes of it is frequently uploaded online, which (again, to them) creates an unintended way of seeing certain content, more specifically in a way that "ruins" the effect. Some also go as far as to lament the days where datamining was not an easily accessible thing you could do with video games-- it preserves a sense of mystery, of not truly knowing how much the game actually holds. It lets a player's imagination run wild with possibilities.

Does datamining, or even datamining and subsequently posting the findings online do anything as dramatic as destroy the very concept of being surprised by a video game? Obviously not! It's not as if datamining forums or threads for findings are impossible to avoid, after all. But the fact that the knowledge of the existence of datamining is there might be enough for some people (player or developer) to feel like "the magic" is being ruined. That Oz is just a man behind the curtain, pulling levers.

That, or maybe some game developers are just embarrassed about how badly their code is written, or how messily they organized their assets, or anything else like that.

Why do gamedevs get angry about data mining? Simply do not ship assets you don't want people to see.

Painted Nails - Charlie Dalton & Richard Cameron

Description: Charlie's trying out nail polish now, and as much as Cameron wants to judge him, he also thinks it's so cool. And well, Charlie needs to practice on someone. [1k words]

They're roommates, so I simply had to have at least one fic of these two. I'm not sure how to write Cameron, but I see him as someone who overthinks a lot and is constantly jealous, so I'll go with that.

Richard felt a strong smell as soon as he entered his dorm. Now, usually that would simply be someone smoking, except it smelled like acetone.

"What is this?" He coughed as he closed the door behind him.

"Oh, hi Cameron," Charlie answered distractedly, not even looking at him.

He dropped his stuff on his desk and tried to see what Dalton was doing, but he turned away from him. "Let me see," he complained.

"Just give me one minute!"

He sighed and sat on his bed, waiting. A part of him hated how curious he always was at everything his roommate did, and jealous at how interesting it actually was most of times.

"Aaaand, done!" Charlie turned around and showed him his nails proudly, which were painted hot red. Cameron tried to touch them, but he pulled his hand back. "It's not dry yet!"

"I'm confused. Isn't that for girls?"

Dalton rolled his eyes at the question.

"You don't have the vision I do, Camie!" He stated, struggling to close the nail polish bottle on his own. "It's style!"

"It's stupid though. I don't get it." Richard took the bottle and closed it for him. "And don't call me that."

"You're a very boring-minded person and it shows," he blew his nails contently. "You wish you were me and had nails like this."

His tone wasn't serious but his words stung hard anyway. Because unfortunately, Cameron kind of did. Charlie always managed to be cool and likable so effortlessly. Even when he was being insufferably annoying, he was still compelling. The kind of guy people would even pay to see, not just barely remember.

"This is a lot harder than it looks, honestly," Dalton comments, distracting him from his thoughts. "I wanted to make a star on my middle finger, but I took an hour to just paint them plain red without smudging."

"Really? What's so hard about it?" Cameron opened the window to get rid of the smell.

"Every time I try to fix one nail, I ruin a different one. Also, I have no idea how I'm supposed to do it with my left hand."

He nodded, trying not to be too interested. He had way too much homework to do to waste time with Dalton. "It's probably something you learn with time."

He opened his notebook to start his trigonometry work and jumped back when Charlie suddenly sat on his bed.

"You have a point, actually! I need practice!" He took the notebook from him and placed it away. "Give me your hand."

"What are you doing?" Richard was starting to get even more annoyed at him.

"It's your lucky day, Camie! You'll get to be awesome too. Like you said, I need to practice this on someone if I want to learn how to do it properly."

"No," he answered with no hesitation. "Go ask Neil or even Meeks, I'm sure they would agree on the spot."

"I'm not roommates with them though, am I?" Charlie insisted. "Be useful for once."

"Hey, I help you with math every single week! I am useful" He felt genuinely upset now, and especially upset about even feeling that way. Why did he get offended so easily? Actually, why did he even care so much about everything Dalton said, all the time?

"C'mon, just let me do it," the idea was so embarrassing, and at the same time so tempting. Richard looked into his eyes, looking for any more reason to deny or to at least stay mad at him. "Please."

He sighed, swallowing his pride. "Okay."

His regret was almost instant when Charlie opened the bottle and the smell came back. "I just wanted to say I never said shit about you ever." He added.

Cameron rolled his eyes, but couldn't help a small smile.

It was a weird experience, to say the least. Dalton remained silent through the whole thing, completely focused on the task. He held Richard's hand gently, being careful not to smudge his own nails.

It wasn't a big deal, yet he felt... seen, in a way? It was nice to receive the attention, and to be a part of something with someone.

"Hey, this looks pretty decent!" Charlie stated, impressed at himself as he finished the first hand.

Cameron took a good look at his nails, then at him. He still didn't quite get the appeal. "Sure, they do."

The other hand was a little easier, and there was already some improvement. Charlie brought both Richard's hands closer to his face and softly blew on them to help it dry.

"You know, Gloria told me they start to fade within like a week. So next week, it'll be your turn to paint mine."

That caught him off guard. "This is going to be a recurring thing?"

"If you're not interested, I can just ask Neil or Meeks."

"No, I'll do it," Cameron quickly said, feeling a wave of embarrassment as Charlie smirked victoriously at him.

Dalton closed the bottle and took a small bag from the nightstand. It was full of nail polish in different colors.

"I was thinking black or purple for next time, what do you think?" He suggested, then continued before Richard could give his opinion. "Actually, don't answer. I know it would look great."

"I'll show this to Knox!" He got up suddenly, leaving Cameron alone and quite dumbfounded.

There were a few moments of processing what had happened and Richard laid down, looking at his painted nails. "I'm matching with Charlie Dalton," he thought and found he really didn't mind it, then groaned. "I still have homework to do."

your existence is genuinely befuddling to me. like i mean this in the absolute nicest way possible, which is kinda stupid because it's going to sound incredibly condescending and mean anyway. i just do not understand how you can build your life and personality around a character you ostensibly have the same name as and get offended when people ask if you are roleplaying or kinning or treat you as a character. especially in the homestuck community. understandably i'd get pissed too but in this community people seem to lack critical thinking skills and you seem aware of that too

i think the way you type everywhere and the fact that a lot of your friends do the exact same thing as you but with other characters from hs gives it away

im not even necessarily saying it's a bad thing to kin a character but if you're gonna do it, it just seems disingenuous to frame it as "i've always been this way"

here are multiple tweets of me humoring comments i get regarding this. and also casually telling people i'm not doing a bit, and i don't think i'm john egbert from homestuck. very casually, i've only gotten offended when people have associated me with the character to make assumptions about my personal life and my identity. i'm not sure where else you've seen me "get offended over it" like it's a federal issue. i am pretty aware that that is a normal assumption to make based on what i act like.

here are some youtube comments i made when i was nine or ten. i have never typed exactly like this for all my life consistently. just like any other person. i have had phases where i've just changed to adjust to whatever was big in internet humor and language. but, using periods is just muscle memory to me.

my friends are also their own people. matter of fact, i am friends with a lot of them because this is a shared experience. you see many people in the fandom who have either been like me or there are many cases where people are transgender and have taken on the name and look of a character they relate to. or some people are genuinely just like, people with DID.

there was a brief period in my life where, because of the way i was, i was told i needed to associate with an identity close to how people claim they are "irls" of characters. but i was also 15, and i was a very impressionable kid. and you have to remember that this was like, a trend. even so, i don't think i have ever publicly associated myself with the label at all. it was just a thing i picked up from some weird friends i had going into the fandom. i am obviously grounded in reality, and i am my own person!!!!

i do not currently "kin" or say i "kin" cause that is really gay. no offense to kinners, the concept is fun! it just got ruined by fandom people.

john egbert is more like a persona to me than anything! but it's not like you could tell my drawings of him and me apart. again, not a federal issue.

The Illuminatii YouTube Situation

The word of the day is allegedly.

Note: All people mentioned have made statements of their own on their YouTube channels, I recommend checking them out if you haven't.

The story so far, the you tuber the Illuminatii has a channel built off of weekly documentary videos up to an hour long meant to expose shady companies and public personalities. She was a part of the collaboration channel called Sad Milk with fellow creators, Oz Media, Wonder struck guy, The Click, One Topic at a Time, and Salty the Alien. By the end of 2020 half the "Milkmen" left do to various interpersonal reasons and the channel would eventually fall apart. Fast forward to today where allegedly the channel fell apart because of her being manipulative, vile, vindictive, and completely unyielding.

The situation only truly started when she decided to accuse Legal Eagle of stealing her teams editing style. The style being a highlighting effect and a torn piece of paper to display text. Two things that are so common with their video format that I'm 70% sure they copied it from 60 minutes. In response to a backlash she received from this, as well as the milkmen deciding to post some of their experiences with her on the podcast she decided to post a video addressing everything. The information she put in the video was sometimes debunked with the same screenshot.

According to the Click she tried to turn a situation with a sex offender in his discord server into a reason to push him away from everyone. He provided receipts that proved that the whole discord situation began and was resolved while he was asleep at 3 AM. The Click also had to point out some hypocracy on her part involving a certain word that he hasn't used in years and that she allegedly still uses. Speaking of allegedly, she had an alt account called doobyshmertz that would harrass Click and One Topic.

Wonderstruck had to tackle a hell of a lot more as he was accussed of being a lazy worker, neglectful towards his dog, being a squatter, and destroying the car he was buying off of illuminatii. According to Wonderstruck though, he was hardly given any work, Oz Media confirmed that he actually spoils the hell out of his dog, was living rent free because Oz who owned the house at the time allowed it and he actively did what he could to earn his keep. Also the car situation, the damage was minor at worst, and the mess was because he was living in the car because of how toxic things got in the house for him.

Oz went through hell. He's currently working on what might be the biggest and most damning video on the matter. Illuminatii seems to be scared of something in it because of the legal issues she's putting him through. What we do know is that they dated and while living together she turned his house into a dump, emotionally and fiscally abused him and put him into such a dire situation that she can snap her fingers and ruin his life. Which allegedly she's working on just that. She currently has the ability to foreclose on his own house due to a legal situation that he was coerced into doing. Ethically it is horrible, but legally she's in the clear and is looking to foreclose just before Christmas this year. He is very much in the thick of it and the situation is very much taking its toll on him.

Now about the state of her channel. During this whole thing she briefly tried to rally her fans in a sort of cult of personality sort of way. Here's the issue though, her videos gave her an audience that is critical of this sort of behavior and also sensitive to the methods she's used over the years. All resulting in her views dropping and her channel just silently uploading new videos while she pretends nothing is wrong. As of right now her videos are struggling to break 20k views while previously they regularly got over 100k and her most popular getting millions. She was even forced out of a different podcast called the Leftist Mafia because they started finding the milkmen's videos.

To make things clear, it was all the original milkmen who came out against Illuminatii, all corroborating each other's claims, all with consistency. The only one who hasn't made a video on the matter is Salty the Alien, but he was in One Topic's video on the situation. Even former employees are coming out against her. In an effort to silence them, she started filing lawsuits that were made public. In her efforts to defeat her enemies she failed to realize that she set her own fields on fire.

Now for the opinion section. I feel very much inclined to believe everyone except Illuminatii. During this situation old dramas she was involved in started showing their ugly heads, including when she tried to send a mob against a pregnant woman, her abuse towards another ex boyfriend, as well as with a different collaboration channel that she was a part of.

I remember seeing her Illuminatii exposed video when this started. I thought that something just wasn't right. My suspicion was proven right as everything started rolling in. I once respected what I perceived as her journalistic integrity, her tenacity to go for the truth and to expose corporations and people as they truly were. She built up this persona of being a respectable person who stuck to her morals, only to show that she wasn't too different from the people who made it onto her channel.

Now I was originally going to end this article here but as I was writing it I found an update. In an effort to gather funds in order to avoid getting foreclosed, Oz Media started a stream accepting donations with a goal of $10K. It only took twenty minutes for him to meet his goal, he was sent so much money and love from his audience that he was sobbing on camera in relief and joy with the comfort of knowing that he could keep his house. He was speechless for an hour. A bit of good news at the end of all this.

Well, well, well, that is a loaded topic at the moment. I have already briefly talked about it before, so I won't go into how cliquey and unapproachable the majority of the fandom has become, but rather on other things. Also, if you are easily offended or don't want to see me rant, please don't proceed.

A large number of the people on this fandom lack critical thinking skills and the ability to self reflect apparently. Actions have consequences and you reap what you sow. I see a lot of complaining and whining on the dash from people lamenting that they only interact with the same people or don't have enough things going on in general, when the reality of many cases is, that they became so cliquey and focused on the same 3 of their besties that everyone just gave up on them. If you drop people left and right in favor of others and revolve your world around a very small friend group, that generally means you lose the other people you have just ignored for ages. People don't wait for you to resurface until you're bored enough to remember their existence. The same goes for threads and interactions in general: when you drop almost all threads with a certain person constantly, don't reply to memes etc and only focus on who you're hyperfocused on atm, it inevitably means losing rp partners. Rp is interactive. You choose and shape your own experience, but so does everyone else.

It has been discussed a lot recently, but the amount of people thinking they have a moral high ground and can police the content of what other people choose to write is baffling to me, especially in a fandom like this. The slander spread about those who choose to write canon characters in the way they were written by the author is not making you look cute, nor does it give you any moral superiority because you choose to try to police others, it's giving that you can't differentiate fiction from reality unlike the rest of us. Yes, we write incest, no we don't shag our siblings in real life, get over it. If you don't like it, there are a million fandoms out there without content like that. Idk why anyone would choose to join a fandom, just to constantly proclaim that they hate everything about it. Must be tiring.

The amount if policing done in the fandom has whitewashed too many characters, so have the fangirlies who think Aemond and Aegon are babygirl and can do no wrong. I get it, we all love our favorite characters and support their rights and their wrongs, but it has led to them being completely fucked to the point that when they act true to character on the show, there is a massive outcry that they are being ruined by the writers. Are they, darling, or is your mass murder sociopath of a fictional boyfriend just acting exactly like he does in the source material and you just don't like to see it? Bring back villains, bring back negative character development, allow characters to be flawed and wrong and brutal and merciless and vile again without feeling like you have to soften the blow because everyone else does it as well!

There is a massive dissonance between people complaining about the state of this fandom and then doing nothing to change it at all. The climate here will only change if we work on changing it. If everyone remains in their corner with their same four friends and does nothing to make this more inclusive and friendly, nothing will change.

Pantalone was looking at your injured arm, slightly concerned. It felt like he was carefully searching for the right words to express himself. After some moments, he opened his mouth to speak again:

"Are you growing attached, maybe?"

"Absolutely not. It's just I'm the only one who can take care of him properly"

The skeptical expression on his face was clear, especially when he had heard you say 'take care of him'. You continued:

"He's no different from my average patient. At least this job is more rewarding, and I can focus on only one person"

"The latter might be a problem. And if you think he's just the average patient, need I remind you that his name is forsaken from the entirety of Sumeru?"

"He's still a person, and I'm the more capable one on this job. This is nothing I can't manage"

After a second of pondering, Pantalone smiled at you:

"I guess you really are suited for him, after all"

You smiled back. You were no average person either. You wouldn't deal with the average people. To be fair, your whole life wasn't average at all. You were used to it, it was almost in your comfort zone to be with people like Dottore. You had always found them interesting. Sometimes it would get scary, like with the ruin hunter's incident, but you felt like it was definitely worth it: your payment was not average either.

After you parted ways with Pantalone, you returned back home. 'Tomorrow will be another day of work', you thought while drifting off to sleep in your bed. --------- He was face-down on his own desk, mentally searching for whatever way to continue his experiments. Now he was left with only two children and some chemical components, all because of that bitch-sitter who never shut her mouth. Speaking of the devil, she had just entered the room. He didn't react at all. No, he was staying like this until something, ANYTHING, had caused his funds to raise. He heard a chair moving onto the other side of the desk, her sitting on it. Silence fell onto the room. After some moments, he noticed it wasn't completely quiet around: he could feel someone breathing and an intense stare on him. His heart-rate was just a little faster than normal, meaning he could feel it pump inside his own body. 'Stop, please... Someone make her stop' was all he could think about. It was torture to feel her so close, it was getting him anxious. Was he the real freak, at this point? ----------- You found it so amusing. He was clearly tense, but was trying so hard not to make any moves. It kind of reminded you of your cat's passive-aggressive behaviour: when you haven't been home for a long time, he would always act like you were not there, playing on your sense of guilt. Luckily for you, you barely had any. If the game was set on resistence mode, you were absolutely sure of your win. You noticed his mask was left beside him on the desk. 'It may be uncomfortable for him to wear it in that position.' - you thought to yourself - 'Still, I've never seen his whole face. I'm kind of curious'. You were trying to make out his features by watching him closely, when you were suddendly met with his scarlet red eyes. You instinctively gasped and backed out a bit, as he did the same. Were you too close? You hadn't noticed. He quickly put his mask back on, but you had already seen the big scar on his left eye. You were completely undisturbed by it, but guessed he would feel another way, since now he looked offended.

"You're a freak", he told you as he agitatedly walked around the narrow space between the desk and the freezer, covering his face in a hysterical motion.

"What do you want now? I don't have any new experiments to show you"

You stayed silent, analyzing his behaviour. Most of his sentences didn't have sense, but sometimes he was spitting out things like "Am I your experiment?", "Do I look stupid to you?". The fact that you simply being too close had left him in this state was unmistakably abnormal. 'Did I mess up that badly?', you were thinking. He suddendly stopped. Then, taking a deep breath, he turned in your direction and walked past you, grabbing some cigarettes along the way and rushing out. You had noticed how, when he was too stressed, he would just run away from the place he's in. As you were thinking about it, you sat there, trying to figure out what had just happened. After a few moments, you decided to follow him out.

I don't read the Bible the same way you do. I used to. I used to be a very good fundamentalist and 6 day anti-evolutionist. So I understand where you are coming from. And I empathize with your position. So I’m warning you that what I believe is going to offend you and probably make you think some uncharitable things about me, my relationship with God, and my salvation.

I have no expectation of changing your mind, I’m just sharing what I believe and we are going to have to agree to disagree and live as good neighbors as best we can and discuss things nicely till God sets us both straight in a few decades after you and I have both kicked the bucket.

I am not a gap theorist. I believe, much like CS Lewis seemed to based on some things he said in "The Problem of Pain" that creation stories are meant to communicate deep spiritual truths and they were not meant to communicate historical accuracy or scientific understandings.

Unlike fundamentalist Muslims, I don't believe God dictated the scriptures to a prophet. Unlike fundamentalist Mormons, I don't believe prophets copied scriptures off of golden plates.

I believe that the Jewish scriptures are far more of a team effort.

The Jewish scriptures are the result of imperfect humans trying to hear Holy Spirit's whispers. Being human, they could not hear perfectly and were understanding Holy Spirit through their own cultural lenses and personal experiences/lenses. There is a huge subjective element to the Jewish scriptures as Noah, Abraham, Moses, and the prophets did their best to write/tell their understandings within their very small and isolated worlds.

Genesis did not have Genesis chapter 1 when first put down by Moses.

It only had the Garden creation story that came from Noah.

The creation Week story was written during or soon after Babylon. It does not plagiarize the Babylonian myths as some like to snidely accuse. It uses them like a meme. The meaning is in the differences. Everyone knew the Babylonian myths because they were the main superpower and had been for centuries and would be for centuries more. Using the Babylonian myths seemed a good way to keep their own creation story relevant and understandable for a very long time. The Jews include a huge amount of snide swipes at the Babylonian’s mythology/religion while also communicating the beauty and goodness of God and the goodness and beauty of God’s Creation. Mel Brooks carries on that tradition.

So for most of events in the Bible, the Jewish people only knew the Garden story of how it was all perfect till the snake tempted the woman to sin and the woman then tempted the man to sin too and then God cursed not only the snake and those two humans, but all of their descendants, the animals, the planet and the whole universe to death and suffering. And the sin stories that followed showed how sin ruined everything and that even wiping out all of humanity and starting over didn’t work so God chose Abram and the Jewish people to be God’s special project and that God was a patriarchal suzerain king who demanded perfection to God’s every demand even when it came to murdering your own children. (Or other people’s children who were living in the land God told you you could have.)

What followed was a learning experience lead by the prophets and opposed by the priests/aristocracy to learn how God was different from that and that God really really wanted people to treat each other and even the animals and the land fairly and that caring for the poor and oppressed was the most important thing. While the priests and the rest of the aristocracy and fundamentalists were convinced it was primarily about perfect obedience and worshipping God correctly and within their religion and justice, kindness, and mercy were secondary.

It was not until the priests and aristocracy had their power and wealth stripped from them and were exiled into Babylon that they began to question their understandings without their “promised” land or temple or sacrifices.

When several generations later they were returned to the land their ancestors had lived in, they were a different kind of people. The priests and other aristocrats had lost so much of their wealth and power and pride and were a new people with a better understanding of God. And they wrote a new creation story that focused, not on sin, but on Creation and God’s goodness and generosity. That they lived in a good creation. And that the things other people thought controlled everything were lights and calendars to help them. That the world was full of order and beauty. Even if it wasn’t safe, it was good.

And humans were no longer sinners. They were very good.

And they put this new piece of scripture, not in its own book as you or I might have, but instead they put it at the very beginning of their most important scripture to change the way they read and understood all of their scriptures.

That argument between the Priests/Aristocrats/Fundamentalists vs the Prophets was still going on at the time of Jesus and is still going on today.

I think that if we can let go of our fundamentalist reading and interpretation of the first few chapters of Genesis, and reinterpret things in light of Genesis One as being it’s own little section from a different place/time/context, we will have a much truer understanding of God and, more importantly, God’s heart and the purpose of Jesus and the meaning of Jesus’ death and resurrection. And furthermore we will have a better relationship with God and our neighbors and God’s good Creation.

TL;DR: People have been spreading disgusting rumors about me and trying to make you believe things about me that aren’t true. I do not stand by racism, bigotry, do not want to completely erase innocent groups of people from the planet, and anyone who says otherwise about me has never had a personal conversation with me to verify my truths. And those same mentally unwell cyber bullies obsessed with me then continue to obsess over me today, trying to strip me of my livelihood, my friends, gathering people against me as part of their own twisted enjoyment, and genuinely hoping I kill myself.

My cyber bullies, for years, have created multiple fake accounts to stalk me, try and befriend my friends to get more information about me, follow everyone I follow to seem like a normal person before saying, “Did you hear about XYZ” to slander me, and work tirelessly to ruin any livelihood I try and carve out for myself. They’ve doxxed my address, have reached out to my now-husband’s extended family, stalked both my siblings and my parents, and have been writing disgusting things about me online for well over a decade now — and I’m done being silent about it. I’m done being their quiet punching bag.

This is my story. I shouldn’t need to defend myself against cyber bullies. No one should. But this is the unfortunate reality of the internet. Please stand with me against cyber bullying and the people who do it.

My Story:

I’ve always created content about whatever I’m interested in at the moment. Art, video games, makeup, fashion, tech; my interests, like any normal person, continue to grow and change. And because my focus has always been to create beautiful things no matter the topic, my “influence” in whatever sphere I chose to tackle always grew with me. My cyber bullies attacked me for that, too. They called it “redefining myself” and rolled their eyes whenever I discovered something new and exciting, gate-keeping anything I felt eager to explore.

Career-wise, phew.

My history is long.

My blog work was discovered by an internet dating company when I was 20-something. I was immediately hired to work full time covering love and relationships in the city. I then moved on to tech reporting and journalism covering social media in the startup world of Silicon Valley, and I used that experience to transition into Marketing and PR. This lead to me heading Communications and Advertising teams, launching several successful companies (many of which went on to raise millions), and garnering several awards for my creative work. My cyber bullies, of course, addicted for years now to tearing me down, worked tirelessly to spread lies about the truth of my work, attributing my success to me being “pretty”, while in the same breath, picking apart the way I looked and calling me “ugly”.

During a low point in my life and swayed by the “free the nipple” movement, I table-flipped on my career and started modeling. If so many people were offended by me being pretty, I thought, I may as well embrace it. Photographers (not always professional or innocent) were quick to work with me, validating my mindset. Eventually, (and regrettably), this lead to me having an OnlyFans. Now … I made some amazing modeling friends during this time who I’m still close with today and who I support (and cheer on) in their choices. Not because I would do them myself again, but because I believe everyone has the right to do what they want with their life as long as their actions aren’t hurting others. And also, because they are genuinely some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, and I think of them fondly and with love. Obviously, during this time, my cyber bullies enjoyed tearing me down for this as well.

This is where my politics come in. Politics are something I’ve never brought up as a stationery content influencer because it’s not something I feel matters in the world of washi tape and stickers, which I go to as an escape and as something that makes me happy. However, as it is the most recent source of hate-fueling fodder for my cyber bullies, I feel I have no choice but to discuss my short foray into political journalism.

I used to be liberal. I was especially liberal during my modeling days. But today, my politics lean conservative libertarian, and I’m technically registered as an Independent.

Challenged by conservative friends and family to independently research the things I’d been told by the news about how “all conservative people are racist bigots who hate gays and support Nazis”, I felt compelled. Compelled as a blogger, a content creator, and as a journalist/writer. Mainly because, as someone who’d developed an internet following and spent more than half my life facing unfounded attacks by cyber bullies spreading lies about me and convincing random people that I was somehow evil or not to be trusted, I empathized with this group of people who I’d admittedly never met, never spoken to, nor bothered to try and understand. I was just as bad as my cyber bullies, I thought, if I didn’t even attempt to understand these so-called “Nazis”.

Let me preface this by saying, because I’m certain some of you must be clutching your pearls in shock: I do not stand by racism, bigotry, do not want to completely erase innocent groups of people from the planet, and anyone who says otherwise about me has never had a personal conversation with me to verify my truths. Anyone who hates entire groups of innocent people can, as the French say, suck a dick. I am not a hateful person. And I’d argue, this lack of hatred in my heart is what lead me to approach these people to begin with.

Like any other hobby or exciting new thing I was eager to learn about, I donned my academic hat and began to research. I spoke directly with the “Nazis”. I spoke directly with the “Bigots”. Was I scared? Oh yeah. I thought, as a person of color, they’d immediately hate me. I thought, these people hate immigrants (my parents are legal immigrants to the United States), and this terrified me. But when I discovered that most of these people (many who, shocking for me to discover, were immigrants, people of color, or LGBTQ themselves) were being bullied by the government and news cycle, slandered despite their own lack of hatred, and used as pawns in a disgusting game of politics, I was incensed. Mostly because I’d been lead to believe that anyone who wasn’t a Democrat was evil. And from the several sought out personal interactions I’d actually had, I knew this wasn’t true.

During all this, my cyber bullies had a field day. They stalked and attacked my friends, my family, reached out to companies I’d worked with, people I knew, slandering me and building on the manic list of falseties they’d already pinned to their psychotic stalker wall of Eggbunni photos.

I became a journalist again. This time, in my own right. Rather than relying on the news or the internet to tell me how to feel about people I’d never met, I gathered the equipment and experience I’d amassed creating content throughout my long creative career and set out to publish the truths I was discovering. I attended “dangerous” activist events and interviewed the people there, asking them why they’d come, how they felt, and published their stories for my following. I spoke with elderly immigrants as bombs and bottles of glass were being thrown at them by leftist extremists who deemed them “traitors”, young people of color who came to these “dangerous events” to experience them for themselves, and trans political activists. Everything I created was with the intent to unite people and show that we don’t have to be a divided populace, and my work (and the understandably polarizing nature of it) grabbed attention. Eventually, supporters of my work sent funding that helped fly me around the United States to cover more events in person and expose the lies the media had been feeding us about innocent people.

Let’s pause.

None of this is to say that all people on the right or left are innocent. This isn’t to say that there aren’t violent extremists on both sides that we should be wary of. And this isn’t to say that only good people exist in the world and we can all hold hands la-dee-da. Merely that there is a peaceful middle ground, on which I happily walk, that accepts people of all beliefs and tries to bridge the divide.

Of course, nowadays, we’re not allowed to take the middle ground. We’re not allowed to hear from both sides and find things in common. We’re not allowed to speak to the accused. Why, when cancelling is so much easier? But, and this should be obvious, anyone who preys on your emotions and bullies you into taking sides should always be questioned before they are given free reign over your thoughts and reactions.

I share all of this with you not because I think everyone deserves to know my story, one I find deeply personal and hurtful, but because I feel I deserve a part in my own narrative. Because I deserve to have a voice. Because throughout the years, lies have been spread about me, my family, and everything I’ve literally ever published online, no matter how innocent or well-intended. And I know I’m not the only one.

I challenge you to ask yourself before you believe any rumor that has been spread about me: Has something ever been said about you that isn’t true? Have we ever personally had a negative interaction? Have I attacked you personally in any way? Is it possible that innocent people are slandered every day, sometimes to manic extremes, by people not always with the best intentions?

For my part, I will continue to explore this world with a hope-filled and childlike heart, because I’m not a victim, and I won’t allow other people to define me. And yes, I will continue to try and bridge the divide so many sinister bad actors are pathetically working to widen.

And please. Can we keep politics out of fountain pens, inks, and stationery? I don’t care what your beliefs are. And just because people like my photography, or enjoy my content, doesn’t mean they support every single thing I believe, and vice versa. Any brand I work with isn’t saying they support everything any influencer discusses (although again, for the third time, I do not support racism, bigotry, or hatred, regardless of how anyone wants to twist my words).

Mostly retired from a public lifestyle, I’d simply like to politely continue enjoying my fountain pens, stationery, washi tape, and art, free from all the ugliness I’ve witnessed. Although I’m sure my cyber bullies will enjoy freshly gatekeeping these things and find a way to twist that around as well.

Mishandled Justice; Putting the Pieces Back Together After Trauma

seemingly endless doom scrolling watching videos online I occasionally stumble upon the side of the world wide web where there's a kind side. Some genuine folk just doin' their best. I have been scared and angry and alone so long I really think I forgot there are kind souls out there, Dearest Reader, I hope you are one of those good people 💙

For a long time I thought I was okay being alone. Lately there's been a overwhelming void and between you and me, I think may be humanity I've been missin'. I know it's more trendy to put this on TicTok, dang I tried however putting myself on camera is uncomfortable in a way I'm not sure yet how to describe, all the same I need to start letting some things out. I would love to be brave enough to share my life with the world like the fabulous content creators that have kept me company over the years but every time I try, I find an excuse not to; my house isn't clean enough. My forehead is too big, my body is too big. I wouldn't be funny enough, I wouldn't be interesting enough. I wouldn't be enough. Would be too much. Heck I even thought I wasn't rich enough to be on Tic Tok. I don't have a nice hair cut or fancy clothes to do one of those 'fit checks' they're dong and the only time my phone rings is a bill collector, what business did I have of sharing my dirty laundry online being in the state I've been in. It's that thinking that has kept me stuck in life.

I don't know who I am anymore. At the risk of sounding too dramatic, it is as if I have awoken from a living, psychological coma unsure of myself or my surroundings. So while I learn who I am and how to get comfortable in front of a camera my relaunch into the realm of social media will start by blogging.

Do I feel like know what I'm doing? Nope! This will be a learning experience with no determined destination or set conclusion. It will be chaotic. Y'all are invited to come along. One joy of writing and throwing it out there, no one has to read it if they don't want to. Unlike a real life conversation, I won't be distracted by your face worried I have said the wrong thing, or said to much, offended or bored you. I am a modern hermit living with complex post traumatic stress disorder and have been experiencing noticeable symptoms akin to ADHD. I am not sure how many times I have tried to 'start over' in life and failed, I've lost count. I have wanted and tried to change but doing it alone isn't working, so here we are now.

I’ve never told my story publicly. Not really. As I attempted put my life back together over and over and take up space in the world I would feel a bit like a fraud. As if it's this big shameful secret I must hide when in reality it's been gagging me getting in the way of speaking and success. I know I could have a beautiful life if I could just get out of my own way, out of my own head, and out of this dang house.

I have to put all the puzzle pieces together, finally get it all out so then maybe I can find peace and put it all behind me. I had posted some details about the events on my Facebook over the years as it all played out. I would share a summary to family and friends and it made a few news headlines, yet so many factors stopped me from sharing the raw truth of it all.

The weight of shame and not wanting to embarrass or hurt my family, I left out so much of what had happened and what I was feeling. When I would try to share how bad things have gotten, the reactions at just a small portion of the whole truth were bad enough I was ashamed of putting it all on tbe table. I had told having my life public would negatively affect my chances of getting a good job, chastised it would ruin my reputation if I cussed or used words like 'rape' or 'sexual assault' online. I still tried, to find strangers commenting on the news stories about my body, my character they knew nothing of, gossip that the evidence was fraudulent and I just wanted attention. After time went by and I had heard the “get over it’s” and the “time to move on’s” I didn't think my story was worthy of telling, to those more than an arms length away I would be fine and move on. Now still, lack of confidence in myself, low self esteem and fear has kept me from living and telling my story in its entirety.

While the fear of being prosecuted for violating a publication ban on my own name had not stopped me from posting on my own Facebook page, it had effectively silenced me from going public. The risk of a $5,000 fine or up to 2 years in custody for telling my story had removed my voice and a piece of healing I didn't know how very badly I needed.

I have never really known how to have close friends well. I sometimes wish I had a tribe to be comfortable with. Growing up I was that kid that would secretly cry in the bathrooms when at a friends house. I never understood why I didn't feel like I quite fit in. I’d be apart of a small group, always an introvert, I think I would have liked to have been the emotionally regulated, social sort as an adult where I could have gotten the whole story out already. Perhaps around a bonfire, screaming at the moon, blending tears from sadness and laughing. The last time I was in a social setting that wasn't family was in 2019. It's been lonely. Even years before then I had hid away. In late 2015 I left an abusive relationship and became housebound. Fearful to even venture to my front yard, leaving the bedroom was a daily challenge. Slowly I started to engage in social media, supplementing human connection with strangers on Facebook, where this story will officially begin.

However, all facts of the trial discussed within this saga are public record, and RCMP interactions from the trial and complaints process are documented for verification. All other details are from my own lived experiences, hours of audio recordings, news and magazine articles, emails, and journals.

Now I know a little bit about a lot, but only a lot about a little bit. I will speak about my own experiences as I have lived them and the things I have learned along the way, but I am not an expert in any topic included below. I am such a mess that I hesitate to even call myself an expert in my own life, yet vow to hold to the truth at every step.

There was a blur after I was assaulted when I heard the words “wait here, someone will help you” and part of me has been locked in a psychological waiting room ever since. This is my raw and vulnerable exit speech from that place.Why now?Publication ban laws in Canada prevented me from telling the story how I needed to tell it or attributing my own name to the events that transpired. The journalist who first covered the story, Lindsay Jones, called me ‘Nicole’ and as the trial was ongoing, I was prohibited from speaking about the case in full. I was not aware nor informed a publication ban would be essentially automatically applied restricting my choice to share my story. A publication ban did not prevent the media from using the accused’s full name, personal information and details of the trial, yet the punishment I could face by putting my name to my experiences, or sharing court documents was possible fines of $5,000 and/or up to 2 years in custody. At times I pushed the line of this ban as if daring the courts to charge me so maybe someone with authority would hear my case. I understand and accept by sharing my life I am opening myself up to trolls and keyboard warriors who may believe to know more about my own life than me and will say cruel and hurtful things. I have been threatened, insulated and received messages from other men they would rape me too if they had the chance. Our society is not always kind, this is a fear I shall overcome. This is MY journey to healing. To judge how someone processes trauma or victim blaming says more about their character than anyone else’s. The longer I am alone with the shame, guilt the more I hurt myself and my family. I need to hold space for myself now. Telling my story is how I choose to do that. Please remember when you comment with hatred or cruelty other victims will see it and may not feel safe sharing their own stories, and that’s a gawddamn shame. The story must be whatever length it needs to be to pour it out of my body. It will be long and parts long-winded. I write this for myself as a step in my healing process, you are invited to come along.

I’ve always liked the night.  Everyone else is always awake during the day, and they’re always so busy, so occupied, so demanding and so full of expectations. I don’t for one second imagine that I’m different or somehow better than them. I’m quite certain that they’d have every reason to find me tiresome just like I sometimes do them, maybe moreso because I’m quite...enthusiastic? Not quite the right word, but I lack for a better one. Night time is when they all go to sleep. They have to rest. I don’t.  And that’s always meant for me that the night was my me-time.  Just me and the darkness. I am very comfortable with my own company.  I think my experience of loneliness must be different from that of others, because it seems to be a thing that is quite severe for other people, so much so that some of them seem crippled and made neurotic by it. My idea of feeling lonely is wishing I could talk to specific people that aren’t there, or that are dead and will never be there to talk with again.  For me, it’s missing the presence of specific others, and I’m not sure what other peoples’ experiences that they call loneliness really are. We use the same words for many things, but sometimes mean substantially different things, other people and me.   Tonight, I went walking through a part of Paragon City called Founder’s Falls.  It’s clearly a part of the city where the more privileged folks get to live. It’s cleaner than a lot of other places I’ve been so far, and it seemed, at least for my strolling glance, like it was generally kept safer.   I think I like the poorer parts of the city better. They’re more honest.  Founders Falls looked and felt to me like such a perfect-teeth fabrication. It’s too pristine, too clean, too manicured.   Turns out I not only don’t like that, but I’m kinda offended by feeling that it’s trying to deceive me into thinking that everything’s great here, nothing wrong at all; perfect place to raise your kids, let your guard down, sip your fizzy drink by your pool and tell yourself a pretty little story about how your retirement investments will keep you warm when you’re old. My weird-ass apartment is in Skyway City, and at ground level in Skyway City, it couldn’t be made clearer that the little people down in the darkness were never meant to do anything but trudge, labor and gaze with envy at the towering overpasses, dreaming the impossible dream that someday, they too might be up there in the sun, driving away from all the smog and barely-making-ends-meet almost-destitution down there on the ground. Every new part of this city that I see tells me more and more of its stories.  I see the hopes and the wishes these places were built upon.   It’s like looking at a baby and adoring its innocence despite knowing that someday, that baby will grow up and probably be just another mostly selfish asshole in the world. Innocence is very inspiring when it’s intact and pristine.  It foments big dreams, wondrous hopes and magnificent intentions of the noblest varieties. Reality rapes dreams, murders hope and locks noble intentions in the sewer with the snot monsters.  Reality hates these things and loves nothing so much as ruining them, and it seems to have an unsurpassable success rate at doing exactly that. From King’s Row to Founder’s Falls, all I’ve seen is easily summarized as the rotting corpse of a city of dreams, innocent hope and wondrous intentions.   It’s tragic in a unique way that reminds me of nothing so much as finding the savaged, decaying bodies of young people that might’ve had big, bright futures ahead of them.    This city really could have been something special.   Some people say it still is, but I don’t think they’re seeing what I’m seeing. I don’t think they can. I’ve got a true outside-looking-in perspective on this, and none of it’s personal for me.  My biases are not colored by me wanting it to be this or that, or having been raised on ideas of it being one way or another.   Paragon City is a rotting body of a once-beautiful thing that, by the sound of things, really could have been something unbelievable.  It didn’t survive reality though.  Now, people still crawl around in its remains and tell themselves whatever it is they need to believe about what it all is or isn’t, but this city is dead and I don’t see it as likely that it’s going to do anything but continue to rot away. Maybe it will prove me wrong.  Time is the canvas upon which that story will tell itself.  These kinds of stories always do. As for me, I thought Founder’s Falls sure looked like a pretty veneer.  Bought a funnel cake and liked it.  Tried a salted caramel mocha iced coffee and didn’t like it.   Looked at jewelry and, specifically, the crystals they had on display in one of their fancy shops.  A lady there got a bit cross that I wanted to buy tools for making such things.  Apparently, jewelry merchants here don’t sell jewelry-making tools, and they think you’re weird for looking at jewelry stores for that kind of thing.   Makes as much sense as a lot of other things here, I must say.

Aether isn’t a jealous-type at all, he trusts you that you won’t go behind his back. When he does get jealous, it’ll be either because he’s tired or someone interrupted his precious time with you or he just got back from his journey. But the one thing he hates the most is someone interrupting your date. 

His time with you is precious, every hour, every minute, every second, he cherishes them all. After all, he doesn’t know how much time he has, so he tries to make up every second in time with you. So if someone tries to interrupt his precious time with you, he’s pissed and pouty-

He’ll have a pout on his face as he glares at the person talking to you, wanting them to go away already. He doesn’t care if you reprimand him for scaring that person away, he doesn’t care if that person was important (like Jean or Diluc-), they're all the same in his eyes. When that person goes away, either scared or amused (Kaeya), Aether would immediately bring you into a hug as he peppers your neck with light kisses. 

If Aether sees that you are having fun with someone else, he can’t help but let his insecurity rise up. What if you left him for that person? What would he do with the shattered pieces of his heart? He’ll have a dark and sad look on his face, like a kicked puppy- he’ll walk away with his head hanging low. You better realize that Aether is gone or I swear I’ll--

Overall, his definition of jealousy is just being pissed by someone- 

“Tsk. That person really has the nerve to try to take away my time with you… I’m not jealous.”

Albedo, at first, would be confused at the sudden foreign feeling inside him when he sees you getting friendly with the other Knights. He doesn’t know what he’s feeling at that moment. Should he go there and drag you away? Why the sudden urge of kissing you in front of them? Why is his chest twisting painfully inside him? He really doesn’t understand-

He would consult Sucrose about it, and Sucrose concluded that he might be experiencing “Jealousy”. At first, he rejected the idea, saying it was a childish thing to experience. And that he has no time for that. But as the days pass, he soon realizes that Sucrose was indeed correct. 

Whenever someone would approach you, he would be staring (more like glaring) at them in the distance. His eyes would narrow if he sees that person casually touching you. But Albedo would only intervene if someone took it too far or if he sees that you’re uncomfortable. 

Albedo would never tell you that he’s jealous. It is kinda hard to see him jealous but the slightest change of his eyes and how his lips quirk into a dissatisfied frown made you realize that he’s jealous. Also, his mood sours if he’s jealous. He might ignore you for a while, don’t worry, he’s not mad! He’s just a bit pouty because he was just right there, why were you talking to that person?

Overall, won’t admit he’s jealous and might ignore you for a while.

“Why are you here? Shouldn’t you go back to that person? It seems like you two were having a pleasant conversation after all.”

Childe, similarly to Aether, is not a jealous type of person. Even if you try your best to make him jealous, it wouldn’t work. He can always see through your plan, so making him jealous purposely is always gonna fail. 

But here’s the thing. Childe is good at hiding his true emotions, the mask he has now was carefully carved and shaped by him. So he’s good at hiding his true motive, good at hiding his emotions, good at hiding his thoughts. This means that you wouldn’t know that he’s jealous. Though he’s still rarely jealous. He has a high pride towards himself that he wouldn’t get replaced easily. If there was ever a competition, he would happily compete with them for your heart- (competition and fights are what he lives for-)

He wouldn’t get jealous of you simply hanging out with someone, but if he sees that you’re having fun with the person. His jealousy meter is rising, he would hide in the shadows as he watches you and the person happily talking with each other. Once his jealousy meter reaches a certain meter, he would casually appear beside you and drag you away from that person while exclaiming that you two have something to do.

Like I said earlier, even if he was jealous, you can’t tell. So it’s 9 out of 10 chances that you were able to see his jealousy. If you tease him about it, he would just shut you up with a kiss- Also, there’s also this 50% chance that he’ll make out with you in front of the person. And he wouldn’t stop, he would just continue. You wouldn’t notice the person leaving, too caught up in your makeout session. When you two pull apart, he has a cocky smile on his face. 

Overall, secretly jealous but wouldn’t show it-

“There you are, sweetheart! I was searching for you everywhere! Come on! We have something to do! If you’ll excuse us, stranger, I’m going to have to steal away my (princess/prince)~”

It’s very obvious that he’s a jealous/possessive type. He would glare at anyone who dares to even go near you. No one can steal you away while he’s with you. Those who are stupidly brave (Childe-) will get zap by his Electro as Scaramouche drags you away while huffing. 

But he’s like this because he never has anyone to care for him before, your love is the only thing he has. Never has he experienced being loved before. He was despised by his fellow Harbingers and Fatui. He was hated by almost everyone he met. No one showed him any sort of affection unless they were simply using him for their own gain. You, who was undoubtedly naive and stupid to trust a Fatui Harbinger, manage to not only befriend him but make him fall in love with you. 

He gets jealous easily. Even if you two are the same gender, he’ll get jealous. He’ll immediately appear by your side and whisk you away, ignoring your complaints and the stare of the person. Sometimes, if someone is flirting with you, he’ll make out with you in front of them. Even though he doesn’t like kissing you in public, he will make this time an exception. The flustered look on the person’s face brings him such satisfaction-

Scaramouche would glare at that person who you’re talking to, doesn’t matter if you were the one who started the conversation, he would be seething with rage. How dare they talk to you?! Your attention and time should be spent on him! You might need to talk to him about his rather alarming behavior. After that, he’ll mellow down a bit. But that doesn’t stop his glares on that person. 

Overall,, even though he manages his anger issues, he’s still jealous if you spend time (even if it’s only a minute) on another person- 

“I told you to stop associating yourself with those low-life people, my beloved. You shouldn’t waste your breath on them……. Of course, I’m fucking jealous! You should’ve seen how they eyed you! I wanted to kill them on the spot for looking at you-” (chill scara- do you want some snickers-?) 

Xiao wouldn’t admit it but he’s jealous. He would rather die than ever admit that he’s jealous of you hanging out with your fellow mortals. Especially if you are on your way to meet him and a person starts to talk to you, somewhere, Xiao is glaring at the person and you are talking with a small pout on his face. He might not appear to you at all unless you decided to give him some Almond Tofu. 

Similar to Scaramouche, he never felt love before and doesn’t care much about it. He thought it was weak to love somebody, imagining giving everything up just for one person? Gross. But when Xiao met you for the first time, he thought time stopped. At that moment, he knew he would make you his. You manage to capture his heart just by appearing in front of him, so take full responsibility-

You can immediately tell if he’s jealous because he has a scary face on with an (adorable) pout. He’ll glare half-heartedly at you, grumbling that you should go back to whoever that was. Even though he acts like a baby at that moment, he was just insecure. You were a mortal, he was an Adepti. You can die any time while he lived for millennia now. Wouldn’t you prefer to date a mortal like yourself? One who will grow old with you, one who isn’t as cold-hearted as him? You might need to reassure him again-

Xiao trusts you, yes, but he doesn’t trust the mortals much. He actually prefers if you spend your time with someone like the Traveller, one he knows and trusts. He’s just being wary and cautious. Don’t worry. Even if someone decides to corner you in an alleyway or somewhere, Xiao would be there immediately, raging with fury-  

Overall, an overprotective, insecure baby that gets jealous if you don’t notice him-

“Did that mortal harm you? I saw how they grab you.. They should pay for their sins- how dare they hurt someone like you.” 

Zhongli is also not much of a jealous-type. He trusts you whole-heartedly and allows you to talk to anyone freely. He would only be alarmed if that person makes you uncomfortable or decides to harm you in any way. But other than that, he lets you be. As long as you return home in one piece.

But he would be annoyed if someone (its always Childe-) decides to interrupt your date. He prefers having alone time with you because he is constantly busy with work. He would not-so-subtly try to shoo away that person. But if you intervene and let them stay, he decides to let them be. But be prepared to have another date tomorrow to make-up the date ruined.

Even if he’s jealous, you couldn’t tell. He just his usual face on, with a rather malice smile on his face. If you look away for even a second, the person you’re talking to is already gone when you return your head. You blink, a bit offended at that person for suddenly leaving in the middle of the conversation. While Zhongli besides you just pat your head. (shh.. You don’t need to know that he scared off that person,, it’s our little secret-)

BUT! His jealousy will only show if you spend the entire day with another person, and completely ignoring him- when you return home, prepare for your punishment for spend your day with another person and not giving him his daily dose of kisses-

Overall, a rather calm guy that rarely gets jealous

“How rude. You’ve been ignoring me the whole day, and yet you spend your entire time with another. I’m your lover, am I not? And to add to the wound, you forgot to kiss me. Oh well, guess it’s time to get them now.”

Asa Emory / The Collector

depending on whether or not you actually consulted him beforehand, this could go two ways.

if you didn't, he'd be upset. who gave you permission to have your hair cut? why didn't you ask him first? does he need to remind you of your place again?

Asa might leave you be for a couple of days depending on how drastic the change is. if it can be remedied easily, he'll have you beg for forgiveness but if not - don't be offended when he starts bringing you wigs. actually, he won't care either way. this is your fault.

if it's something you two have talked over then he's a lot more sympathetic about it. especially if you feel insecure over it. it's not so bad actually. if you're lucky you might catch him fiddling with your hair while you sleep.

overall he's indifferent to it. it's just hair? it's not the end of the world. just be thankful that he has no interest in experimenting with hair implants.

Billy Lenz

it might seem like he wouldn't notice but he's actually quite perceptive to these kinds of things. Billy is absolutely the type to notice any sort of physical change no matter how subtle it is.

unsurprisingly, this is because he spends almost all of his time watching you. of course he's bound to notice!

he'll definitely point it out but he'd either be neutral or mildly upset about it. if he dislikes it, you would know immediately because he would pull your hair and demand answers.

if it's not that big of a difference and he's craving a bit of your company Billy would want to brush your hair for you! isn't he sweet? unless of course it gets tangled, then you might actually end up looking worse. (unless you teach him how to do it properly.)

if he's feeling more gracious than usual he might even offer to remedy it! whether or not you decide to indulge him is entirely up to you. there's a slim chance he would actually be good at it but denying him isn't recommended either..

Bo Sinclair

there's no sugar-coating it. Bo will laugh at you. he might even point it out to his brothers if you look especially funny.

did you go to a blind hairdresser? head got stuck in a lawnmower? got attacked by a bunch of bloodthirsty birds? you're never going to hear the end of it. he's never going to let this go even after your hair grows out.

would constantly tease you about it but it's mostly out of love. he might even come up with cute nicknames for you depending on how badly you messed up your haircut.

if someone else tries to make fun of you though that's an entirely different story. only he can call you ugly duckling! if someone else does it then he's ready to crack someone's skull open.

denies he was doing anything to defend you. Bo would just claim that they were being too loud for his liking. it had nothing to do with you. nope. not at all. "it's 'cause your hair's so damn ugly that they died on the spot."

Brahms Heelshire

what have you done?! this is MUTINY! he's been BETRAYED! dramatically reaches out to feel your hair with his trembling fingers.

this is all so wrong... so very wrong. at first he would only be able to stare at you in utter disbelief. as if you've spat at his face and insulted his entire bloodline.

Brahms takes it as a personal attack against him. sure, he can be a handful at times but he'd never thought you'd be this cruel! it might take some thorough explaining that no, actually you hadn't intended to end up like this.

regardless he would be very upset. he's rather fond of your hair and if it was longer before and much shorter now, he might not be able to recover from it until it grows back. Brahms is a bit shallow, you see.

when your hair does eventually grow out expect him to treat you like a ticking time bomb. he can't possibly trust you with keeping it pristine now! it's decided. Brahms would just have to cut your hair for you. unlike Billy though, he has slightly more experience since he cuts his own hair so you might not have to worry too much.

Bubba Sawyer

Bubba absolutely adores you either way! literally nothing can convince him otherwise. he might even get upset if you tell him it's ugly. no no no, you can't possibly be ugly! you're his s/o! you look wonderful no matter what!

as for the rest of the family... the twins love it too! they might even call you a trendsetter. they might come off as patronizing if you haven't been around that long to know them but they're actually genuinely into it. it's fun and quirky and nobody else has it! what do you mean you look bad?

Drayton is a lot less enthusiastic about it. he'll throw in an insult here and there but nothing too harsh unless it's getting in the way of your chores. if it bothers you so much he might actually shave all of your hair off. (don't worry! Bubba will protect you!)

if you're adamant about remedying your look then Bubba would offer to help. unfortunately he has little to no experience with cutting hair. he was the one offering his help but.. are you sure you want him to do this? he's more worried about accidentally snipping your ear off than he is ruining your look.

Bubba wouldn't really understand if you happen to be worked up about it. he truly, wholeheartedly thinks that you look gorgeous no matter what you do with your appearance. it's still you under there after all!

Jason Voorhees

he'd be surprised at first but will try to play it cool if you become self-conscious. points at something just above your head. he wasn't staring at your hair, he was looking at...uh. that bird up that tree! it flew away when you looked... too bad..

like Bubba, Jason loves you no matter how you look. big boy does not care at all. things will stay pretty much the same. he’s not the type to make a big deal about it just because you look a little different.

he would make sure to shower you with compliments if he catches you fussing over your appearance though. bring in the gifts! he picked up this cool hat for you, do you want it? how about these hair clips? he wants to help as much as he can.

Jason would not want to fix it for you but it’s not like he can deny you when you’re asking for his help. what if he messes it up? what if you get mad at him? what if he accidentally hurts you? it’s too risky. he doesn’t even know how to! hopefully his many concerns would be enough to convince you to just let it be.

if not, well.. his hands would be trembling the entire time. this poor man would be scared to death to snip even a single strand of your hair. why would you put him through this? not only would it take him hours before doing anything noticeable, he would be in a constant state of dread the entire time.

Jesse Cromeans / Chromeskull

WHEEZE. babe, what happened? who did you offend? he’s very desperately trying not to laugh at you but he’s failing. what a gentleman. Jesse would inspect the damage - totally not struggling to hide his laughter - before claiming that he hadn’t noticed anything until you pointed it out.

he’ll tease you about it, asking if you’ve been out making enemies behind his back. he won’t be as much of an asshole as Bo per se but he’s not about to pass up the opportunity to get a reaction from you.

Jesse is more of a romantic about it, holding you close and placing a palm on your chest. what matters to him is this, he signs. ...your tits. oh and your heart too, but that’s just a bonus. he’s kidding! stop hitting him! (claims to have planned this just to make you smile all along. sneaky bastard.)

if it’s something that bothers you, he’ll have a hairdresser come over for a home service. why are you surprised? were you expecting him to bring you to the salon? the barbers? why would he do something like that? he’s offended!

now you’ve done it - you’ve bruised his ego. the man’s just showing off at this point. within the short period of time the hairdresser took to fix your little problem, Jesse somehow managed to get more people involved. they’re wheeling all sorts of expensive-looking equipment in. one claims they’re a nail technician and the other a masseuse. oh you had plans today? too bad, you're getting pampered and that’s final.

Michael Myers

if it’s really bad then he might let out a small chuckle but that’s pretty much it. the most he’ll do is run his fingers through your hair. Michael doesn’t really care all that much for appearance either.

but he’s not as eager to console you like the rest of the slashers are. if it’s a bad haircut then it’s bad - he’s not the type to beat around the bush. “do you think I look stupid?” he’ll nod. if you react negatively to that he’ll just shrug. you asked! what do you want him to do, lie?

Michael would help you out if you asked but it’s ill-advised. he’s decent with a pair of scissors but he’s going to keep cutting shorter and shorter until you either stop him or you run out of hair. (there’s no guarantee he’ll stop even if you asked nicely.) clearly this is your fault. why would you trust him with a pair of scissors?

this should be obvious but do not let him anywhere near your hair with anything sharp. he might take matters in his own hands if he sees how fixated you are with your haircut. if it’s that bad, he’ll snip away while you sleep. Michael would be careful not to wake you.

overall you’re almost guaranteed to have an awful time if Michael decides he wants to do something about it. he’s not going to make fun of you but you’re going to wish he did instead of butchering your precious mane.

Thomas Hewitt

oh, honey... what happened? he’ll set you on his lap to give you a good look-over. Tommy is not all too concerned about how you look but how you feel about it so he’ll help in any way he can. if you’re upset about it he’ll press a quick kiss on the crown of your head to reassure you.

nothing a little trim can’t fix! as good as he is with his hands, he has almost no experience with hair so he would have to ask Luda Mae for help. he’ll be there too don’t you worry your pretty little head!

Luda Mae would coo at you affectionately, earning a disapproving “tsk, tsk.“ at the poor soul who had done this to you. they would be the talk of the town. if you somehow did this to yourself, then she’ll scold you out of love. why didn’t you ask her instead? after the whole ordeal is sorted out though she’ll beam with pride when you comment on how good it turned out.

Hoyt is most likely going to chide on how badly you messed it up if you were the one responsible but if it was someone else, you best believe he’d be out of the door in search for the s.o.b. what kind of hairdresser would do such a half-assed job?

if you’re not quite close to the family yet, Tommy would do it but he’s unfortunately not as good as Luda Mae. he won’t be as bad as Michael though so you can still save whatever dignity you have left.

Vincent Sinclair

unsurprisingly, he’s the mature one out of the bunch and like Tommy, he’s more concerned about how you feel instead of how you look. he would immediately try to fix it - you won’t even have to ask. Vincent won’t even give you time to actually feel bad about it, that’s how much he cares about you.

he usually doesn’t alter his victims’ appearances so he doesn’t have much experience but he’s not about to tell you that! his caring side would definitely override his lack of confidence. congrats! Vincent does a pretty good job. he would even give you a trim if you asked.

if you somehow ran into his brothers first then there’s no escaping it. Bo’s going to laugh at you. Lester wouldn’t really insult you but he’ll poke fun at you, saying that it would be much easier to find you now, much to Bo’s amusement. luckily for you, they’d made enough ruckus to draw out Vincent.

Vincent wouldn’t necessarily defend you from his brothers, just silently tug you somewhere else - prompting Bo to call him out for being a killjoy. unfortunately since he’s used to his brothers picking at him he’ll expect you to do the same. afterwards he won’t take long to fix your haircut.

this isn’t going to stop Bo from calling you names though. Lester wouldn’t do it but he’s not exactly opposed to what he assumes is just friendly banter. they’re unlikely to cross the line since they know how much you mean to Vincent so unless you’re especially sensitive, then it’s nothing too serious.
