ok but the hbomberguy video dropping only days after Oz media, a genderqueer content creator who's landlady was illuminaughtii and had treathened to kick them out (from what I remember, but she definitely was dangling their right to shelter over their head), had decided to make a 24 hours stream to hopefully get enough funds for their own house EVENTUALLY and was quote "only expecting to get 5.000 in 24 hours if they were lucky" but ended up crushing through and past their goals within an hour and crying so hard from joy that their nose started bleeding and they couldnt even get to the actual content part of the stream until after like an hour and a half in, was, in my opinion, very based. sincerely fuck illuminaughtii.

The Wicked Witches of the West (6)

Now that the green elephant is out of the room, let's talk again about the original Wicked Witch of the West, before MGM changed our perception of her forever. Because not all of the Witches of the West are green, far from it!

And when you look at the earliest adaptations of the Wicked Witch, you will notice one recurring trend... The one of fusing the Witch of the West with Mombi, the evil sorceress from "The Marvelous Land of Oz", later retconned into being the former Wicked Witch of the North.

This is first the case in the 1910 silent movie "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz", one of the earliest movie adaptations of Baum's book - while the antagonist of the movie is clearly the Wicked Witch of the West, her name in the story is... Momba. One letter away from Mombi. It is especially interesting to note that Baum was directly involved in the making of this movie, and so the name was not chosen randomly... Or it might have given Baum's famous tendency of not really giving a crap about continuity and preferring a booming, anarchic creativity over any strict and rigorous world-building. He likely named the antagonist "Momba" as a simple nod to his more famous Mombi character.

A later Oz adaptation with another direct input and participation by Baum enlightens us on the matter: 1914 "His Majesty, The Scarecrow of Oz", a movie where the antagonist is clearly designed after Denslow's illustrations of the Wicked Witch of the West, and yet is called "Old Mombi"... It is obvious that Baum wanted, to touch the movie-audience, a mix of the main witches of his two earlier works, creating this Mombi-Momba hybrid serving as a stock villain in early Oz movies.

Things get even more complicated when you look at the novel "The Scarecrow of Oz", that Baum wrote as an expansion of the short film, or rather as an inclusion of the story of "His Majesty, the Scarecrow of Oz" into the book-canon of his literary series. And in there a witch antagonist does appear, with an appearance described as being quite similar to the Wicked Witch of the West... but she is not her, nor is she Mombi, as she rather becomes a new witch, "Old Blinkie". After all, the Wicked Witch of the West was supposed to be dead in the book-continuity... even though it became a big rule later on that nobody could die in Oz... as I said, Baum literaly did not care for continuity beyond the first two books and even less so after his sixth one.

Beyond early Oz media, the confusion doesn't seem to have been maintained, as Mombi and the Wicked Witch became very distinctive character... Except for this one Polish animated show, a children series of 1988 called W krainie czarnoksiężnika Oza, and that adapts both "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" and "The Marvelous Land of Oz" (plus pieces of other Oz books if I saw well?). I unfortunately don't know Polish, but the episodes are fully on Youtube, and from what I got the Wicked Witch of the East and West in Baum's novels were fused here as one same character, The Wicked Witch of the East, main antagonist of the "Wizard of Oz" arc, while Mombi from the "Land of Oz" arc was renamed the Wicked Witch of the West? And yet some of the scenes of Mombi in the Marvelous Land of Oz were given to the Polish Witch of the East which is in turn Baum's Witch of the West? It's a bit confusing X)

one thing that people don't understand about tumblr, when they get all their tumblr content from youtubers who read tumblr posts, is that those "tea spilled directly into the harbor" and "oppa homeless style" type posts were made at least a decade ago, so they see these posts and think they're brand new posts, since other sites like twitter and reddit and instagram don't have as much post longevity. so they see these and think "tumblr's a site for dumb cringy teenagers'' when everyone involved in those posts is now 20-30 years old and would also cringe if they were reminded of these posts.

I have to do this. More posts to come about this, but this is a quick post from my twitter about everything that happened with Sad Milk.: This context is entirely from twitter, with the expectation Blair will see it.

I think it’s time that I actually speak out on the current twitter threads regarding Sad Milk. I cannot express how scared I am to do this, the fear I have in my gut to even speak out. However, I do feel it’s important to say my peace on this subject matter.

Yeah, it’s a mess, but the tweet threads posted by wonder and Click, and what they have stated about Sad Milk is the truth. I will be adding those threads below.

The whole project was a mess. From start to finish. I really wish I didn’t need to do this, but with the flurry of Dm’s I’ve been getting, I don’t have a choice but to speak out.

Blair, I’m sorry, but you have hurt me. I need to speak without being told by you “Oh I’m just the villain? I’m always in the wrong?�� or something along those lines. Words I have heard from you consistently. I want to be heard for once. I need to clear my mind and conscious after holding this in for 2 years. Forgive me, but it's what needs to be done. When looking at the whole of the project, it was mostly controlled and run by Blair. 

Her main worry was that because of her, in her words, "Lack of Personality" she felt as though her contribution to sadmilk needed to be the managerial bureaucracy behind the scenes to justify her presence. This led to a defensive approach when anyone would attempt to assist with the nitty gritty behind the scenes. (Despite her claiming that no one wanted to help her. One of the factors she claims to be the final nail in the coffin of Sad Milk). Blair was indeed the aggressor. She always has been. As an example of this behavior, look at the legal eagle situation. Blair has the habit of starting fights, but will almost never publicly apologize if proven wrong.

She will instead hide behind a private apology probably, and from my perspective, act as though this makes everything better. Afterall, she would express to me that admitting error would only make her look stupid and weak.

This will be followed by her blocking people on twitter, silencing her detractors through youtube channel bans, deleting comments, and putting her accounts on the downlow to prevent interaction. For example, on Sad Milk, she would blacklist former collaborators from being mentioned, but manually approve hateful comments towards them, which in my opinion, were specifically ones which instead praised her or the remaining members. Including me. This is her MO. It has been for the 4 years that I’ve known her. It actually perfectly ties into how we first met and began to be on speaking terms in April of 2019. Sadmilk was very much like this. At the first sign of dissonance, her response was to have me confront OT and Click with this list of talking points in an attempt to show them just how wrong they were. Which I accepted. This brings me to, well. Me. What is missing from both Click and Wonders threads, is that fact that I acted as Blairs front runner. Anything Blair needed to say went through me first. Essentially act as a spokesman. This was actually a common factor in our relationship. 

I would always act as a filter to keep her out of drama or from saying things which would be seen as offensive or kindle for a larger fire. I stopped doing this in January. This does not excuse me from protecting her for this long, but it is the truth. I could take the approach and say I was manipulated. Which, perhaps I was, but I still knew what I was doing was wrong. I always did, and it always hurt. It left a huge blackmark on my spirit and my ability to feel comfortable in my own skin. I had moved to Colorado, got a house, and lived with her at the time. She was in my life every day and I would hear these theories and villainous explanations directed at anyone who “wronged” her. It was hard to avoid, let alone not fall for them. I believed it was my responsibility to protect my friend from something that, in my view, was clearly hurting her, something that I felt was eating at her and making her daily life worse. Things which in hindsight, could have been solved with a conversation she was unwilling to have. Instead the conspiring, backstabbing, and rumor machine were put into full swing. I, much as wonder and Salty, were forced by Blair to choose between her or Click and OT. Of course I chose the person I lived with. What was I going to do? Move again? I mean I could have.. Once I chose my side, I was met with praise and adoration from her and her modstaff. It, at the time, felt like I was making the right decision. Fuck man. Boy was I wrong. I’ve lost so many friends, isolated myself, been at her side despite feeling like my connections to the world were being severed. I always acted as her talking piece, from yelling at One Topic, to berating click, and other things I did in service of someone who at the time, I believed every word of. I trusted Blair to hell and back and thought I was doing good. I have learned since then, through both self reflection and conversations with old friends, just how much I was (unintentionally, hopefully) used. 

There, of course, is more. Much more. More than I could ever hope to cram into this stupid fucking twitter thread that I know I’m going to get angry DMs and phone calls over. 

Blair. I need you to know that YOU hurt me. More than you realize. I know you’re scanning this and having your team read over it. Maybe even looking at sending me a legal threat as you parade around to do so. But I want you to apologize for once in your life and take accountability. Please. Blair, you would rather paint the world red than admit you have fault.

She is 8 years older, and that relationship had a massive power imbalance. This is parter abuse. Adding that to Wonder's and her other ex story, we can see a pattern. Her being a woman abusing men allowed her to get away with so much.

Oz Media needs help.

I... I want to support a youtuber who's in a slew of hell right now. All i can do right now is spread awareness in hopes it'll reach people who can do more than I can. I hope others are aware of Iilluminaughtii's tirade against anyone who would even dare slight her. As it currently stands; she's taken Oz Media to court and is, in my opinion, attempting to punish Oz by bleeding finances that he ALREADY is so low on BECAUSE OF HER. (For more in depth information on how shitty her court case is; please watch "MadCatsters" videos going over the legal documents) On top of it all; he has admitted to him and his partner having endured a recent miscarriage. I... can't imagine the stress of all these petty legalities that Blaire(Iilluminaughtii) has brought on them didn't play any part in that. I've supported before, but quietly. I cannot in good faith continue quietly. Please, I hope others hear this and can do more than I, if not; even just spreading awareness might be of some help. I'd hate to see a devil win against a good man.
