Got some Peau d'Homme goodies thanks to my internship!

I absolutely loved this when I read it back in January. I didn't even make a post about it but here's a blurb:

In Renaissance Italy, Bianca, a young lady from a good family, is of marriage age. Her parents find her a fiancé to their liking: Giovanni, a rich merchant, young and pleasant. The wedding looks set to go smoothly even though Bianca can’t hide her disappointment at having to marry a man she knows nothing about. By donning it, Bianca becomes “Lorenzo” and enjoys all the attributes of a young man of stunning beauty. She can now visit the world of men incognito and get to know her fiancé in his natural environment. I loved our main character and how her story will resonate with a lot of people/women. It was fun, emotional and just absolutely beautiful.

I highly recommend it to people looking for feminist and queer narratives, especially if you appreciate historical settings. Plus it's a French bande-dessinée available in English (A Man's Skin), so if you've never read any, here's your sign!

If you can't take care of your teeth properly, or just straight-up don't, or whatever, that is also okay! ADHD, sensory shit, poor muscle coordination, allergies, ect. all of that are valid and you are also valid and should not be made fun of for your teeth!

And yes, teeth ARE naturally yellow or grey. The white-thing is, apparently, a very American-centric thing that can actually damage your teeth more, based on what I'm learning in the tags, so yeah, extra fuck that.

I have a hot HOT take coming in as a longtime Five x Lila shipper, now that I've had some time to sit on the season.

As much as I enjoyed what went down this season - because yes, the scandal of it all is precisely *what* makes it so tasty, to me - I actually missed some of the absurdity their dynamic had in older seasons. The soft domestic turn was sweet (and I liked it) but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the wackadoodle aspect of past seasons.

Like, their dynamic has ALWAYS been batshit crazy (the naked fight, the constant sniping, the begrudging affection despite their lurid pasts). The absurdity was a *part* of the appeal. I wish they'd leaned into that aspect a bit more - but then again, given all the hand-wringing happening right now, perhaps audiences wouldn't have been able to handle it.
