author's note. another one of my works from my previous blog ! happy reading <3
The first time you stumbled across 𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐔 freshly out of the shower, all naked and bare, the first thing your eyes caught sight of was that obscene baguette of a cock hanging between his legs. By then, you were convinced that he wasn't going to fit – at least, not easily. Your thesis was later proven to be correct when you had your first time with the ivory-haired male; tears immediately welling up in your eyes as you cried out in sheer pain. Of course, your boyfriend stopped his actions, making it his top priority to ensure your comfort and wellbeing. Since then, he didn't make any more advances – offering only his mouth and fingers for your pleasure, despite your many pleas telling him that you're ready.
It had been nearly a month now, and you had finally taken matters into your own hands. After all, desperate times called for desperate measures. While Satoru was off on a mission, you stared intently at the laptop screen, scrolling through the myriad of sex toys that are put on sale. What better way is there to stop your lovely boyfriend from holding himself back any longer than to buy a dildo to prepare yourself for him? Undeniably the mere image of his twitching cock being held down by the confines of his boxers and trousers made your mouth water. Eventually, after a couple minutes, you click on checkout.
It’s the next day, and your boyfriend is still away for a mission, and you find yourself staring at the box sitting in front of your door in surprise — honestly, you had expected it to come in a week. But then again, you’re back to business. Rushing back inside your abode, you plop the box down onto the kitchen table, tearing the cardboard with a scissor in nimble movements. Lo and behold, the extra large rainbow dildo rests upon the palms of your hands.
Blushing, you stare down at the lewd toy and you gulp.
You plop yourself back onto the comfort of your soft mattress; the freshly washed dildo and the small bottle of lube splayed out across the bed. at this point, you were already bare – your bra being the only garment left on your body. Leaning back on the mattress, your back makes contact with the soft and gentle plush of your pillow. You stretch your legs wide open and lick a thin stripe of saliva against your finger, rubbing it against your folds. A hitched breath escapes from your lips as you align the tip of the dildo with your aching hole. God, you desperately wish it's your boyfriend instead.
All you can think about is Satoru; his body above yours, his eyes staring lovingly into yours as his soft lips graze against your own. You shut your eyes closed, softly biting onto your lip as you press the large tip against your entrance —
“Guess who’s home~” The door suddenly opens and in barges your boyfriend, and as if the angels had sent him a message because of how much you have missed him, he finally returns from his week long mission. However within seconds, you both jumped in surprise — despite wearing his blindfold, you could tell by the way his mouth was agape that his eyes were ogling at the sight of a dildo pressed against your slick cunt. “Rainbow?”
As an immediate response, you cross your legs together and tossed the toy to the side; feeling an intense wave of embarrassment wash over your whole entire body. You want to evaporate, you really do. Your face feels undeniably warm, looking at your boyfriend bashfully. “Welcome home, ‘Toru.”
Without any words, Satoru makes long strides to the bed and he presses his lips onto yours, almost greedily; his fingers trails to the back of your head, cupping it as he kisses you deeper. Shortly after, he pulls away from your lips, leaving a thin string of saliva connecting your lips together. you can only look at him, both aroused and embarrassed.
“Were you planning on surprising me with this, my love?” Your boyfriend questions you, tearing the black fabric off his face; revealing his cerulean eyes blown out in arousal. You can barely utter a response, the embarrassment is simply too much for you to bear.
“Can't say that i'm too happy about this, though. Seein' you use a plastic dick instead of my own is making me a lil' jealous, y'know?”
You press a soft kiss against his cheek, looking at the male bashfully, “I'm sorry baby, i just wanted to prepare myself so I can take you better. That’s all.”
As if your words have ignited some sort of flame within him, all signs of fatigue from his mission has evaporated and he pulls you in for another heated kiss. “You’re so fuckin’ cute,” he says in between kisses, “you know that?”
You’re unable to reply, your brain already feeling mushed from the way his lips mold so nicely against yours and his hands brushing against your thighs. You can only hum against his lips, though you’re barely keeping track of what he’s saying. But when you see his hand travel towards the toy, you felt your cheeks heat up even more when he decides to lube it once more upon inspecting it.
“Out of everything, why rainbow?”
“it’s the closest thing to your size,” you reply, your voice soft yet it’s dripping in arousal. “I didn’t want you to keep holding back for my sake.”
Satoru glanced down at the toy and right back at you, grinning cockily. “Cute. I hope you know that this is still pretty small compared to my dick.”
he leans to your ear, playfully slapping the toy against your pussy. “Say, baby. Do you mind if I help you prepare?”
Fuck. How can you say no to that? You nod your head eagerly towards your boyfriend, unable to control your desperation and arousal. Your gaze trails down towards Satoru’s trousers and you could immediately feel your mouth water — the sight of his fat cock restrained by the confines of the tight fabric is a sight you’ve definitely missed seeing.
You softly gasp at the sudden, cool sensation of the lube being sprayed onto your folds and then your eyes rolling back shortly after when he sticks his long and thick finger inside your heat — effortlessly kissing your g-spot with the tips of his thick fingers before pulling away, eliciting a small whine from you.
“you’re already squeezing so tightly around my finger,” Satoru comments, a sly smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. “How are you going to take this dildo, let alone my dick, inside you?”
“I…” you try to find the words to speak, but a shocked squeak merely escaped your throat when he squirted a little bit of lube onto your juicy cunt; the cool liquid making your body jump slightly. Satoru chuckles softly at your reaction, leaning into your face to press a chaste kiss on your lips. “Sorry, hehe, you’re too cute I couldn’t help myself.”
He slides the tip of the dildo along your folds; starting from your clit to down your hole, pushing the tip ever so slightly to elicit a reaction out of you. You shiver slightly at the sensation, thrusting your hips softly against the plastic toy. There's no denying that you feel embarrassment washing over your entire being, yet there's also something awfully arousing about being at his complete submission.
“Try to relax yourself, 'kay baby?” You can hear Satoru's low voice ringing in your ears, dripping in complete arousal. You hum in response, eagerly nodding your head as you await his actions with your lips bitten in anticipation.
“Imagine that it’s my cock fucking you,” satoru says, chuckling deeply, “nice and deep.”
The moment he inserts the tip inside you, your toes immediately curl — your arms scrambling to find solace in his broad and brawny shoulders; your body writhing beneath his as he pushes the toy even deeper, deliciously stretching your velvety walls with his slow movements.
“Shit,” The ivory-haired male lets out a needy groan, his cerulean gaze locked onto your pussy; taking in the pornographic sight of your folds sucking the toy back in each time he pulls away — he’s unable to look away; he wants to see more.
“Baby, you think you take it even deeper?”
The sultry tone in Satoru’s voice sends immediate shocks of arousal straight to your heat, arching your back in delight when he presses his palm against the end of the dildo — pushing it deeper. He grins almost maniacally, relishing in the way you whimper so desperately for him; begging him to use his dick in lieu of a plastic toy.
“S-Satoru… please — I wan’ your cock so badly… Mmh—Oh!”
A loud mewl rips from your throat, your eyes widening as he slams the toy all the way; the head of the rainbow plastic cock planting a kiss on your cervix. You dig your nails deeper into his skin, your lips latching onto his shoulder to mask the desperate moans that threaten to escape your lips. Satoru licks his lips, his jaw clenching at your cute reactions.
He’s tempted, and that's an understatement — he's beyond horny and desperate, yet there's an inkling of curiosity egging him on; wanting to see how you'd react if it was his fat cock instead. He brushes a finger on your face, bringing a strand of hair behind your ear; leaving whispers of praise. After all, you’re taking the dildo so fucking well. He watches, amused, as he pulls the toy back – his eyes glued onto your slick juices coating the ridges before he slams in back inside, laughing almost sadistically when you let out a cry.
It isn't long before he increases his speed, his lips whispering sweet nothings in your ears as he relentlessly fucks the dildo inside your wall, and t's taking everything within him to ignore the ache dwelling in his pants – twitching within the confines of his boxers as he continues to pleasure you.
"F-fuck! 'Toru–mm! Please, baby, I-I'm so fuckin' close please I want your dick so badly – I p-promise i can take it now – Ah!"
Jaws slacked and eyes blown out in lust, he stares keenly at the juices trickling down your gaping hole; your thighs trembling and jumping each and every time he slams the rainbow toy inside you.
"Is that right?" Satoru grunts, licking his lips. He increases the fervour with his thrusts, beads of sweat trickling down his forehead as he imagines that it's his own cock going in and out of you.
"You're doing so fuckin' good, baby – takin' that toy like a fuckin' champ, yeah? I'll give you my dick right after this. You just have to cum good for me, 'kay?"
His groans comes in tandem with your lewd moans as nears you to your release. He truly revels the way your hips rock frantically against his hands, moaning desperately against his shoulder before you tense on the spot – your juices spraying all over his hand, dampening the bedsheets and a loud cry of his name leaves your trembling lips.
"Mmm... shit." Satoru sighs, staring down at you as he unbuckles his belt with ease, and your eyes snap over to his boxers; your mouth instantly watering at the sight of the humongous bulge as well as the pre-cum that dampened the grey fabric. A delicious sight. He slips out of the garment, almost teasingly and he laughs at the wanton look plastered across your face.
In languid movements, he rubs his giant dick in front of you; relishing in the sight of desperation that is plastered across your face while he teases you. "You've been so hungry for my cock, yeah? You're such a dirty, dirty girl."
"Please, 'Toru." you whimper, you can feel the tears of frustration slowly building up in your eyes. God, you want him so bad. Eventually, he returns to you; reconnecting his lips with yours in an arduous kiss. He leans you back to the mattress, his lips never once leaving yours as he unclasps your bra with one hand in ease. You gasp when you feel his hands immediately grasping at your soft mounds; his fingers rubbing, pulling and twisting at the erect buds.
When you pull away, a thin string of saliva is what was left that connected your lips together and you stare longingly at him through bated breaths — your breathing has gone even faster; your heart pounding against your chest as you watch Satoru align his cock to your needy cunt. It's going to happen now, you thought to yourself, biting your lips.
"Hey, baby. you think you can cum like that again?" He asks as he rubs his fat cock against your drenched folds, eliciting a sweet and needy moan from your lips.
Satoru has long lost his grasp on the remaining control he had on himself. There's a carnal look in his eyes, yet it only makes you all the more excited.
"I want you to cum like that on my dick this time, baby. You think you can give it to me?"

CHAPTER 3 ───────────────────
Hyunjin had momentarily forgotten that, despite finding a peculiar sense of belonging in his… unconventional marriage, not everyone would suddenly see him in a new light.
The labels that had followed him since his teenage years weren’t so easily erased.
Especially seeing these young women flocking around him, their lashes fluttering, lips curling into smiles he would have once indulged in. Perhaps just to pass the time. It was then he realized, his reputation still clung to him.
His eyes swept across the room and locked onto his wife, Y/N. The woman he was supposedly in love with. The supposed emotions these women surrounding him were clearly aware of, yet seemed to disregard, as they shamelessly flirted with him. Their fingers brushed his arm, their laughter filled the space between, swatting at him playfully as they giggled at his remarks that weren’t truly all that amusing.
Their presence here made sense, though.
Who would truly believe that a womanizer like himself had finally been tamed?
Such stories weren’t common in their circle, everyone always falling back into their old habits. Maybe they expected it from him. These women, drawn to him even more so because he was suddenly “off-limits”. If it was some other day, he would have been amused, he would have flirted back.
If it was even the day before his wife had suddenly opened his eyes to emotions he didn’t know he had, he would have humored all these fake personalities.
But tonight, his gaze was fixed elsewhere. It lingered on Y/N, who stood with their mothers and a growing circle of friends, reintroduced to her over the course of the evening.
They were at a small gathering, though small was an understatement because everyone seemed to be here. His father had thrown this celebration for a business success and, as an afterthought, to celebrate the newlyweds. Even though it had been months since the wedding, they were still treated as if they had just tied the knot. Maybe that was just an excuse to make sure his cunning wife would show up, despite knowing she’d find a way to slither out of attending otherwise.
“—Does Y/N really meet your expectations?”
The question snapped Hyunjin back to a conversation he hadn’t been paying any particular attention to. His eyes flicked to the woman who had asked it, now standing just an arm’s length away.
He didn’t realize the group of women that had surrounded him had shrunk. Either they’d grown tired of his indifference or given up trying to compete for his attention. Though, Hyunjin guessed it was the absence of his usually flirtatious, usually charming persona that drove them away.
All but this woman. She was someone he recognized from his circle of friends, but one he’d never taken the time to get to know. It wasn’t her lone presence that caught him off guard. Rather, it was the ridiculousness of whatever she had just asked that made him blink in surprise.
He knew what she was insinuating. With her sultry tone and the curve of her lips that pulled into a smirk, he knew what she meant. As if she had convinced herself that he was going to find the next empty room and have his way with her.
It wasn’t uncommon. Affairs, mistresses, extramarital flings. Secrets kept under wraps, usually existing between couples who were nothing more than a business arrangement.
And even if his marriage was basically that. It was different. The marriage between Hwang Hyunjin and Y/N Yeom was dripping with romantic tales no one expected from him. He had settled down for her, a true romeo that was rare in their elite class.
Even if all of it was a ruse. A made-up story that was carved into stone to make it the truth.
Yet here she stood, the daughter of some other high-class entrepreneur that Hyunjin never cared enough to memorize, suggesting he undo the months of character development he had curated. As if he was such a loose man that he would easily be tempted by a pretty face and seductive eyes.
Hyunjin lowered his gaze to hide the annoyance that flickered in his eyes before looking up at her again.
“You must think of me as a joke.” His words came out sharper than intended, though deep down he knew he meant it.
For a moment her expression faltered, confused by his reaction. Confused as to why he was the one acting different. As if her question hadn’t disrespected his sham marriage, her touch on his arm hadn’t crossed a line.
Before Hyunjin could say anything further, or before she could continue her advances, a hand suddenly gripped his shoulder, breaking the tension.
“There you are.” His brother’s voice came out smoothly, his actions even smoother as he picked up a flute of champagne from one of the servers passing by, handing it over to the young woman that stood before them.
“You look like you need a refill.” He chuckled, glancing at her empty glass.
Her attention immediately shifted. The stunned expression on her face melted as she turned toward the older Hwang brother.
It was a common occurrence between the brothers. When Hwang Hyunsoo entered the room, everyone would instantly fall into his orbit. There was a charm about him that drew you close. A few simple words, a smile that easily captured whoever he was surrounded by.
Maybe being a smooth-talker was a familial trait, seeing that both Hwangs were exceptional at it. However, right now, Hyunjin furrowed his brows with confusion anew, wondering why he was relieved that his brother had decided to intrude with his presence.
“Your wife is looking for you.” Hyunsoo chuckled, patting lightly at the younger brother’s arm.
The taller, younger brother’s eyes darted over Hyunsoo’s shoulder, settling on the form of his wife he had been stealing glimpses of. He was slightly surprised she was asking about him. Usually in such events, Y/N Yeom did not even spare a glance toward Hyunjin or the direction of the cliques he stood amongst.
Although all those times in the past, they weren’t a couple, their names not attached to one another.
Hyunjin nodded, sparing a final glance toward the woman who stood between them.
As the trophy husband approached Y/N and the new group she was standing with, his arm naturally slid around her waist. He felt her tense immediately at the contact, but he only tightened his grip slightly, a satisfied smile curling on his lips as his gaze flicked to the two men she was conversing with. He noticed the surprised glance Y/N shot toward him. Probably more from the suddenness of his approach than anything else.
“Good evening gentlemen.” Hyunjin greeted the two men he too had been acquainted with.
The conversation flowed with ease, but even amidst the small talk, Hyunjin’s attention remained on Y/N. Rather at her form that relaxed against him, and the feel of her in his arms suddenly became his sole focus. He was slightly overwhelmed, trying to juggle the chatter around him while being keenly aware of her body pressed against his.
Y/N, for her part, could feel the quick hammering of Hyunjin’s heart against her back. She tilted her head slightly, studying the furrow in his brow as he listened to the men’s banter. He seemed bothered, and she easily assumed it was the business talk that was frustrating him. But of course, the thoughts swirling in his mind were far from anything related to business.
“If you gentlemen will excuse us, we’re going to make our rounds to the other end of the hall.” Y/N politely excused, her social smile radiating under the bright lights.
Hyunjin gave a slight nod in acknowledgment as they made their way through the crowd, greeting even more acquaintances as they passed. It wasn’t until they exchanged forced pleasantries with a third businessman that Hyunjin sighed with slight frustration, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on the balcony doors.
“This way.” His fingers naturally gripped at her wrist, tugging with a slight urgency, trying to avoid getting stopped yet again.
The fresh evening air was a welcome relief from the stifling heat of the event halls. They stepped onto the balcony, and Hyunjin quietly closed the door behind them. Y/N leaned against the stone railing, gazing out over the dark, sprawling gardens. She exhaled deeply, the cool breeze ruffling her hair.
“Damn, should’ve grabbed some drinks on the way.” Hyunjin commented, casually tossing his dark blazer around her shoulders to protect her from the evening chill.
An action that doesn’t even phase his wife. As if she was used to it. Y/N glanced at him as he mirrored her stance, his back resting against the railing.
“Feeling better?” He asked, his voice casual.
Except his question made her furrow her brows in confusion.
“Didn’t you need the breath of fresh air?”
Hyunjin blinked, slightly taken aback by her question
“No…I thought you did. Isn’t that why you lied about greeting other people back there?” He tilted his head, a note of his own confusion in his voice.
“—Wasn’t it because you needed to talk to me?” He added.
Y/N straightened, glancing over his puzzled expression, raising an eyebrow.
“I lied because you came to me, didn’t you need to speak to me?”
“You’re the one who called me!” Hyunjin exclaimed, head slightly reeling from the circles their conversation was going in.
“And why would I call you?” Y/N crossed her arms over her chest, raising a brow.
The dark-haired man was going to argue that his brother had told him so. But then it hit him.
His brother lied.
Hwang Hyunsoo had given him an excuse to leave before he said something harsh to that young lady back there. The older brother was yet again, saving him from embarrassing himself.
Hyunjin sighed, his shoulders dropping as he released the tension in his posture.
“God, I have a headache.” He muttered under his breath instead, though Y/N didn’t seem to hear him. She scoffed.
“And besides, you seemed busy entertaining those women back there, I wouldn’t have called even if I wanted.” She shot him a glance.
“Must’ve been a real pain to tear yourself away and come find me.”
Her words were meant as a jab, but instead of feeling offended, Hyunjin couldn’t suppress the smug grin that tugged at his lips. The supposed headache he was getting, was suddenly forgotten.
“You’ve been watching me?” His smile widened, his amusement evident.
“I had to. Every time some girl threw herself at you, my mother was breathing down my neck, telling me to keep you in check.” Y/N rolled her eyes in response, annoyed all over again.
Hyunjin chuckled, the tension between them easing.
“I’ll duck the next time some girl throws herself at me then.” His eyes crinkled with his laughter.
His stupid answer only made her groan, unamused as she rolled her eyes again.
The silence settled between them as his laughter died down, eyes following hers to peer over the railing and watch the darkness before them.
The trophy husband suddenly glanced over at her with a fondness that was quickly becoming impossible to suppress. Watching as she pulled his blazer tighter around her body, the evening chill brought goosebumps and slight shivers.
Yet, as the two of them looked out to the night sky, it felt blissful.
────────────────────────
Y/N Yeom might have eased around Hyunjin, comfortable in the titles of “husband and wife”, considering him as business-partner, perhaps a friend even, in their strange dynamic, but that didn’t change how others viewed him. And he had gotten a taste of it that evening of his father’s party.
The trophy husband had been so preoccupied with following Y/N’s advice, avoiding his father-in-law, dodging the old man’s request for a “friendly chat”, that he’d almost overlooked her insufferable cousin.
The same cousin who apparently lived in the same complex as them, which Hyunjin wasn’t aware of until he was standing in the lobby in the cousin’s presence. The air between them, already hostile.
The last time Hyunjin had seen him was at that same party a few weeks back. Although they exchanged brief greetings, it was clear that Y/N despised him and didn’t let them linger in his presence longer than needed.
He could see why she didn’t like him.
Alex Yeom had always been a smug asshole. He made questionable choices behind closed doors but was a good businessman. If people knew about his unsavory habits, they’d undoubtedly prefer the new Yeom son-in-law over him.
But Hyunjin did not care. He wasn’t interested in any of that.
Now, as Alex eyed him with something devious clearly brewing in his mind, Hyunjin stood with his hands in his pockets, trying to appear indifferent.
“I thought Y/N would’ve put you on a leash by now. But seeing you wandering around idly, I guess even she’s failed at that.” Alex said with a mocking laugh that already grated on Hyunjin’s nerves.
But he stayed silent, keeping himself calm. And seeing that the remark had no effect on Hyunjin who stood nonchalant, the cousin continued to retort with nonsense.
“Must be nice, freeloading off your wife?” Alex sneered, shaking his head as he recalled the women who surrounded his new brother-in-law the last time they met.
“You get to play your part of the playboy while you're at it too. I’d say you’re living up to your reputation. And they told me to worry about you.” He was openly laughing now, a bitterness in his words.
Hyunjin’s lips barely twitched. But he kept himself composed. He was no stranger to insults, most of them came from his own family anyways.
But here stood this fool, spewing out hollow jabs in efforts to get a rise out of him.
Instead, the new cousin-in-law kept his hands in his pockets, but his posture was tight. Every muscle in his body wound up like a spring. A part of him nudged to retaliate, but he remained still. Alex’s mocking words scraped at his nerves, but he wouldn't let this idiot see it.
At least he had that in common with Y/N.
Instead, Hyunjin sighed, his mouth opening to deliver a bored “sure” or something equally dismissive, anything to make the incessant chatter stop.
Yet even before the words could leave his lips, a sharp, resonant thud shattered the fragile tension in the lobby. Y/N’s form had almost flown between them, her face contorted with a mix of anger and a glint of something else. Without a word, her leg snapped up in one swift motion, landing a hard, kick to Alex’s shin.
An action that made Hyunjin flinch, while Alex let out a sharp hiss. The younger cousin’s eyes immediately widened in shock, and he let out a pained groan, hopping on one foot as he clutched his leg.
“What the fuck—” He began, but Y/N cut him off with a sharp, icy glare.
“Oh? Was it you, Alex? I thought a dog had snuck in, given all the barking I was hearing.” She said, her voice dripping with feigned surprise.
Hyunjin blinked, caught off guard—not only by her sudden appearance, but by the violence of her actions.
This was a side of Y/N he had never seen before. An unexpected side.
Cold. Uncompromising.
Alex staggered back, rubbing his shin as he glared at her.
“H-how can you do this out in the open?” He grunted, his eyes flicking nervously toward a stunned Hyunjin and then around to the few residents that watched the scene unfold.
“Well, you were being loudly disrespectful to my husband, weren’t you? Where’s your manners? I’m sure your mother had taught them to you.” Y/N retorted, shrugging nonchalantly as if the stares of others didn’t bother her at all.
Her words hung in the air like a slap. Alex opened his mouth to protest, the younger cousin falling silent as he realized his response would perhaps lead to nothing but his further humiliation.
Y/N turned her attention back to Hyunjin, her gaze softening but her grip on his wrist tight. It was then that Hyunjin noticed the firm hold she had on him. Something he hadn’t even realized until now.
“Let’s go.” Her tone was calm, yet the tug she had on his arm, not waiting for an answer as she led him away, gave way to her anger.
Hyunjin’s legs seemed to move on their own. Unable to find the words to respond with, simply allowing himself to be pulled along.
His eyes raked over her form. Resolute, frustrated.
Fascinating.
This was Y/N, the woman who had always been so poised, so controlled... but in this moment, she was something else entirely.
Suddenly he felt his cheeks tinge.
In the car, Y/N’s frustration was evident, a string of curses escaping her lips.
“Who the hell does he think he is? That asshole only knows how to run his mouth and nothing else.” She muttered, her eyes focused on the road.
The dark-haired man watched her in silence, a mix of admiration and bewilderment settling in.
“I should’ve punched him instead and wiped that smug look off his face.” She turned to look at the quiet man in the next seat.
“—And you! You should’ve said something, how could you just stand there?!” Y/N snapped, her anger still simmering.
Hyunjin remained silent, stunned all over again as she directed her frustrations towards at him. Unable to quite understand why she was upset with him now.
Minutes passed, and by the time they stopped at the next light, Y/N seemed to have calmed down. She huffed for what felt like an eternity, only to glance over at him again, surprise slowly creeping across her face.
“Wait… where were we even headed?” She asked, glancing around as if she had lost track of their destination, which, in reality, she probably didn’t have one to begin with.
There was a split-second of silence before Hyunjin let out a sudden, uncontrollable laugh. One he had been holding back ever since she had shoved him into the passenger seat.
“I would say… towards the gallery?” He suggested between his chuckles, recognizing the familiar streets around them.
Y/N groaned, the last of her frustration giving way to amusement.
“Why didn’t you say anything?” She muttered, shaking her head as she continued to drive.
He only could let out another laugh, shrugging.
He wasn’t sure either.
Why was he rendered speechless ever since she arrived back then. Only watching as cursed her cousin, as she scolded him.
It was more sides of Y/N that he had uncovered.
Protective, fiery, and unafraid to speak her mind.
Hyunjin had always known she was aggressively proud and protective of the people and things she cared about. He wasn’t surprised she had those qualities.
But he hadn’t realized that it extended to him as well.
That he was also a part of her things, a part of her people.
And what Alex had said wasn’t entirely wrong.
Hyunjin had been drifting through life, moving from one thing to the next with no real purpose. But even as his mind tried to process everything that had happened, the warmth of Y/N’s fingers lingering on his wrist brought him a sense of…belonging.
A sense of comfort he hadn’t realized he needed.
That phantom touch, still hot against his skin, stirred that weird sensation inside him again, a feeling he couldn’t ignore. It had been there ever since she’d complimented his cooking, a quiet warmth he was starting to recognize... and not one he was ready to let go of.
Like the searing grasp that still seemed to burn on his wrist, lingering long after they had forgotten all about Alex and the nonsense he’d spewed, the questions of why Hyunjin was suddenly feeling this way continued to haunt him.
But, it wasn’t just the touch that tug at his thoughts, it was everything.
When he found himself trailing after her, his heart lifting at the familiar sound of the apartment door opening and she entered. When he would chatter over dinner, watching as she ate with carefree gusto, her compliments flowing freely over whatever he had thrown together.
There was a strange warmth in these moments. Something that felt like it had been awakened in him, though he couldn’t quite pinpoint what it was. It was as if something inside him was getting ready to burst, but even as he recognized the shift, he was still unsure how to label any of it.
What he did know, however, was that he enjoyed being by her side more than he had ever expected.
The gallery director’s husband, that future version of himself who would eventually have the answers, would figure out the specifics later. For now, Hyunjin was content just to be the one who received her genuine laughter, the sound of it filling him with an inexplicable warmth. He loved how her jokes, always blunt and sometimes a little too honest, would make him stifle his laughter, a quiet amusement settling in his chest.
And then there were the softer moments.
The sight of her curled under the blankets, her hair a mess, traces of sleep clinging to her face. A look that Hyunjin suddenly found more beautiful than anything he’d ever seen before.
Even prettier than those actresses. Those models that he had once thought were so.
But the questions still fluttered, just beneath the surface.
A part of him was aware of the growing attachment, the pull he couldn’t ignore.
While another part, a quieter, more cautious part, waited for a sign.
And a sign seemed to come easily to him.
Especially when the playboy husband found his eyes trailing over Y/N more often than he ever cared to admit. It was in those moments that he found his sign.
The one he had given himself without even realizing it.
The business couple was preparing for yet another event, hosted by an business acquaintance of hers.
Hyunjin stood in the doorway, watching her get ready, his figure leaning casually against the frame. His gaze wandered over her as she applied the finishing touches to her makeup. Her eyes darted over to the reflection of his figure behind her.
“I’m surprised you got ready first.” Y/N mused, with a soft laugh, glancing at him as she adjusted her lipstick.
Hyunjin chuckled, his lips curving into a smile. He dropped his head, ready to respond with something snarky perhaps. Something that would catch her off guard, make her falter as she applied her lip gloss.
He could already picture her narrowing her brows, throwing him a mock glare, and then muttering something that would set him off into laughter.
Something that would usually happen in these situations.
But the words never came.
As he gazed at her reflection, something stopped him.
The gallery director’s husband caught a glimpse of himself, lounging against the door-frame. His body had been poised in that position for the past half hour, watching her with quiet intensity.
But now, as he saw himself in the mirror, it hit him.
All the answers to the questions that had been gnawing at him.
Those badgering thoughts that surged through him late at nights when he was heavily aware of her form next to him, chest heaving up and down, breathing softly, deeper into her slumber.
The thoughts that would poke at his mind whenever he found himself following her every move, his eyes lingering a moment too long on her.
He stared at his reflection, his gaze locked with his own, and for the first time, it was all too clear.
The look in his eyes was far too familiar.
He’s seen them plenty of times. Plenty of glimpses of it, ones that had often brought a smug smile to his lips. Smiles that parted as he leaned in to whisper sweet, empty, words.
It was the look that women gave him.
The gleam in their eyes, the wide smiles, the soft blush on their cheeks.
It was desire.
It was attraction.
It was infatuation.
Hyunjin stilled against the door-frame. His entire body suddenly relaxed as he realized.
What did a playboy perhaps in love turn into?
A lunatic.
Because the playboy soon found himself doing things that felt... out of character.
His sleep-hazed eyes would follow her every movement as she hauled herself out of bed at ungodly hours. Times that Hyunjin was still not used to waking, yet still stirred from his sleep.
He had always hated mornings.
Hated the way the sun would already be shining bright for no reason at all.
Yet, there he was, brewing a pot of coffee, a quiet habit he had started for no other reason than the fact that he noticed she liked it prepared before she headed out. And each morning, when she stepped out of the bathroom, still half-dazed from sleep, she would blink in surprise at the sight of his groggy, hunched figure standing by the counter. It had been weeks since he began this routine, but her surprise still hadn’t worn off.
“How can someone sleep with all the noise you make?” He’d mutter, offering the same lame excuse he always did.
But it was a lie.
Hwang Hyunjin couldn’t tell her that he was slowly weaving himself into her routine. That he was positioning himself to become a fixture in her life. To make her so accustomed to having him there, make her rely on him for small, mundane things like making coffee.
He couldn’t tell her that he had started catching feelings for her, his wife.
Tell her how undeniably attracted he was to her, his wife.
She’d laugh in his face. He was sure of it.
And though the thought left a bitter taste in his mouth, he couldn’t bring himself to stop. He found himself still doing things he never would have imagined before, things he thought might bring a smile to her face.
Things that betrayed his playboy reputation.
Things that the old Hwang Hyunjin would have scoffed at, would laugh in disbelief of his current self’s antics.
The second Hwang son had always been the type to accept whatever life threw at him. His status, his place within his family. Though they had all fallen into place because he hadn’t bothered to prevent them, hadn’t cared enough to even attempt to challenge them. Deep down, he knew it all came back to his own bad choices.
And now, here he was, caught in yet another predicament. One he’d accepted just as easily, though this one hadn’t been a result of his choices.
Or maybe it was.
Maybe when he had stepped into that bridal room, drawn in by the panic in her eyes, he had already made his choice.
Maybe when he had locked the door behind him, rushing to her side to calm her, to soothe that clench in his chest, he had sealed his fate.
Now, he sat there, a fool, quietly acknowledging the fact that he was infatuated with his wife. Y/N, who, clearly, didn’t feel the same.
It was almost laughable. Ironic, really.
The playboy, the playboy, had developed a crush.
And it was one he couldn’t chase with his charms or good looks.
Hwang Hyunjin had truly fallen for the ambitious gallery director.
Who wouldn’t?
Just look at her.
And, of course, he looked.
His gaze lingering, tracing. Shamelessly ogling the one woman who was suddenly off limits.
Y/N, his wife.
────────────────────────
There had been a quiet shift somewhere along the way.
The self-proclaimed workaholic had noticed it easily, even though she wasn’t usually the type to catch such things so quickly.
Y/N Yeom had always immersed herself in her passions. In her brand and her business. And though it might seem like it, that she had no time for any of it, she wasn’t entirely clueless when it came to men, having had her share of boyfriends over the years. But most of those relationships had ended for one reason.
She was too focused on her work.
There was nothing “girlfriend-worthy” about her.
Even if the gallery director had thick skin, never letting those words dig deep enough to prick her, they still left her with an uneasy sense of…imperfection.
Y/N was ambitious, there was no doubt there. And even if she might not have been the “perfect daughter,” she liked to think she came close, compared to other high-class children at least. As a businesswoman, she was near flawless, her gallery thriving and her career booming.
She had dreamed of being the perfect wife too, once.
But that dream faded when her eyes were opened.
She had long since given up on that goal.
Even so, Y/N apparently wasn’t perfect in the eyes of the men she’d dated. At least, not the “perfect lover” they wanted.
And that’s what irked her, slightly.
If she couldn’t be a perfect lover, she knew for sure that becoming a perfect wife was out of question.
Besides the way her wedding, her marriage had all happened, it was all far from what one would call perfect.
Not that she ever wanted to be the “perfect wife” to Hwang Hyunjin of all people.
The man’s reputation had long preceded him, and Y/N was sure he would drive her mad. She had already imagined herself holed up in her office. Taking solace there to escape her trophy husband’s playboy tendencies. Ready to either kill him or shoot herself from the headaches he would give her.
But the soft pats of his hand against her back, had shattered all that.
He had done something so unexpected, those less-than expectations that had clouded her mind ever since she agreed to marry him, seemed to have faded.
“Breathe…”
His tone had been soft, soothing, yet enough to pull her out of the storm of emotions swirling inside her.
When he kissed her, she should have been angry. She should’ve been furious that he’d pulled such a “Hyunjin stunt.” But somehow, those feelings evaded her. Instead, she felt an odd sense of gratitude. The press of his lips against hers brought her back to reality. Back to her supposed perfect love story, one where she could at least pretend to be the perfect wife.
She had expected more of those.
More of those moments for her to pretend to be the perfect wife.
More of the kisses.
Although she swore it wasn’t because she liked seeing the shocked expression in his eyes when she kissed him back, she knew her competitiveness had played a role.
But the kisses never came.
Hwang Hyunjin, the playboy, had never once tried anything with his supposed wife.
Maybe she should have been grateful for that. It crossed off one worry from the list of things that could give her a headache.
It was still strange. Seeing all these sides of Hyunjin she hadn’t thought existed.
For so long, Y/N had believed him to be nothing more than the pretentious second son of the Hwang empire.
A narcissist, lazy and indulgent, with little ambition beyond lounging around.
But maybe she had judged him too harshly. Maybe her assumptions were fueled by her own bitterness, by the nagging belief that her father had screwed her over.
Her mind wandered back to their wedding day. Back to his figure leaning against the wall, his eyes fixed on her as the makeup artist scrambled to fix the disaster that had become her face. Hyunjin had watched with an intensity, eyes full of… concern, was it?
Yet, she didn’t find his presence there odd.
And here she was now watching him intently.
Her eyes raked over his figure, studying him from across the room, his figure sprawled across the long sofa he’d picked out, while she sat on the floor, surrounded by her work.
Y/N had a habit of unloading everything onto the living room table. Her papers, files, and her laptop all strewn about. With her back pressed against the smaller sofa, she typed away like a machine.
It was always just her and her work.
Quiet. Lonesome.
But now, even in this silence, even as she focused on the screen in front of her, her eyes would flicker over to him. Hyunjin was in his own little world, oblivious to her gaze, but something about the way he existed in this quiet room, it didn’t feel lonesome at all.
His presence here, anything but odd.
Y/N was honestly surprised to find Hyunjin here at this hour. By now, she had grown used to his late-night disappearances. His notorious escapades and parties. Yet, somewhere along the way, even those late-night adventures had become a rare occurrence.
The first time she came home to find him lounging on the sofa, feet kicked up on the table, watching a cooking show, she had been a little stunned. It wasn’t at all what she expected from the playboy she thought she knew. But somehow, over time, it had just become a new normal.
And these days, instead of disappearing into the night, he had developed an unexpected habit of evening reading.
The thought of it still made her laugh.
Y/N would often find herself watching him in quiet fascination as his fingers turned the pages of whatever novel he was engrossed in. It was always the same book. One he was still working through. One she had noticed just a few days ago.
She’d sometimes do a double-take, just to make sure she wasn’t imagining the scene.
And then, during particularly gripping parts of the story, he’d gasp, his eyes lighting up as he looked up at her, eager to share the latest twist.
He would wait. For her to sigh and ask and suddenly his words would surge out. He would eagerly break down what he had read, passionate rambles about characters and plotlines she barely knew.
Oddly enough, Y/N didn’t mind listening to his random recaps, even when they pulled her away from whatever she was doing.
For Y/N, distractions usually grated on her nerves. Yet, there was something undeniably charming about Hyunjin’s excitement.
The sparkle in his eyes when he talked about the latest plot twist or character development was…captivating. It reminded her of the same glimmer she saw when he engaged in the most mundane activities. The ones that brought him joy she assumed, whether it was playing computer games, watering the plants on the balcony while humming some off-key tune, or even just lounging around in the quiet.
She had noticed it. And she wasn’t sure exactly when it had started catching her attention.
But one thing was certain. Y/N didn’t hate it at all.
She had thought they would be just fine. Her initial worry about having to “babysit” in the pretense of marriage. About reforming the second Hwang, the screw-up of a son, had begun to melt away.
Y/N had almost forgotten about the playboy’s nature.
Almost.
As she walked into the quiet house one evening, she immediately noticed that Hyunjin was nowhere to be seen in the living room that he loved lazing around in at this time. Her eyes swooped over the dim livingroom, settling on the coffee table. He was always the one cleaning up the mess she’d left behind on it the night prior, only for her to undo it all again. It had become a cycle of his complaining as he tidied, but had never really stopped doing it.
Her eyes began to search the space instinctively, trying to locate him.
It was a rare weekday evening when Y/N returned home earlier than usual. Typically, the workaholic in her stayed late into the night, but lately, she had been working tirelessly to get ahead so she could enjoy some free time without guilt.
Recently, the gallery director had started feeling a pang of remorse. Hyunjin was always waiting for her, no matter how late she came home or how much she told him not to.
It was strange how things had shifted over the past few months. Where once they had coexisted like mere roommates, now it felt more like they were friends. Hyunjin’s goofy laughter, his carefree nature, was starting to grow on the usually overbearing gallery director.
A breath of fresh air in her hectic life.
But as she walked down the corridor of their apartment, her steps faltered. The distant sounds coming from the bedroom caught her attention.
A string of groans and grunts. His strained whispers, muttered curses, echoed in the stillness.
Lewd, unmistakable sounds that pointed to only one conclusion.
Y/N’s brows furrowed, the confusion quickly giving way to simmering anger as she reached out to grip the doorknob. Her mind instantly jumping back to her initial worries about him.
Hwang Hyunjin the playboy. The rake. The womanizer.
How dare he bring someone home? And to her bed, no less.
She had warned him.
She had made it crystal clear that if he ever did something as foolish as this, she’d make his life a living hell.
All men were the same, after all.
Her grip on the doorknob tightened, anger flooding her veins, her heart hammering in her chest.
But when she flung open the door and stood there, her knuckles white from gripping the doorknob, the scene before her was nothing like what she had anticipated. Her furrowed brows of anger rising as she took in whatever she burst into.
Hyunjin was sitting on the bed, his cock in fist, sweat beading on his forehead.
The bathrobe he had on was undone and barely hanging onto his body. His body on full display as he looked up at her sudden figure with wide, stunned eyes, completely frozen by her unexpected intrusion.
“Shit—sorry!” She almost exclaimed, mortified words tumbling out before she could stop them.
In a flash, she spun around on her heels, yanking the door shut with a sharp slam.
Y/N stood rigidly in front of the now-closed door, eyes fixed on the ground, her cheeks burning with heat. She could hear him on the other side of the door, scrambling, probably more flustered than she was.
Yet, all her mind could do was replay the image she had just walked in on, over and over. And no matter how hard she tried to focus on something else, her mind kept replaying the image she had intruded onto. Of Hyunjin, sitting there, his bathrobe hanging open, looking caught in a moment he clearly didn’t expect.
His fingers wrapped around his erection.
She gulped, throat feeling dry. Her hands cupped her cheeks, feeling the heat surging over her skin, trying to calm her erratic heart from beating so freaking fast.
Boy, he was big after all. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ to be continued.

got uty au pilled again, sorry... more info under the cut
an AU where ceroba, in the end, refuses to inject kanako with the serum. even after all her research, she just can't trust that it's totally safe. while kanako accepts this, she still wishes she could eventually be of use somehow, and indirectly blames herself for her father's death.
despite all this, with kanako alive, ceroba is able to grieve chujin in a far less desperate way, still having her daughter by her side. as the years go by, ceroba devotes more and more of her time to finishing chujin's research in hopes of finally making a serum that can save the underground. kanako is determined to help, too -- together, they clean up chujin's lab and make it a far nicer place to work, because they're in this together now. well, in theory.
ceroba still certainly takes care of kanako and does her best to be a good mother, but as time passes, ceroba spends more and more time in the lab trying to find an answer. kanako, being the social butterfly that she is, can't bring herself to always stay shut inside like her mother; she travels daily to Oasis Valley, making friends and becoming the town darling. as ceroba spends more time working, kanako spends more and more time taking care of the estate, trying to spend time outside whenever possible.
but it gets kind of lonely. the ketsukane estate is off outside of Oasis Valley, and not many people come by. she's worried about her mother, who's been shutting her out as she becomes more desperate to find a solution. there's only so much to do at the house.
then, clover falls into the underground and explores the dunes. there are barely any other kids at this spot in the underground -- finally, someone around her age! she's immediately entranced by them and determined to become their friend, even after finding out they're a human -- that just makes them cooler...!
but there's a problem; kanako has seen her father's tapes, she knows that a human soul would be extremely valuable to producing the serum. of course, she wants to help save the underground, and she wants her mother to finally be rid of stress and be able to spend time with her again... but after spending time with clover, kanako knows there's no way she can let clover die. they're like the sibling she never had...
and kanako can't even let her mother know that clover exists, either; she knows exactly what will happen if ceroba finds out there's a human here. and yet, a secret part of her wishes and hopes that maybe, just maybe, ceroba could find value in clover as a person and then they could all live in the ketsukane estate together. it would be a dream come true! maybe there's even some way clover can help ceroba without having to give up their soul...?
but things aren't destined to work out that way. any number of things could happen.
clover could peacefully move on in their quest through the underground, leaving a sad and lonely kanako behind.
or, ceroba finds out about clover in one way or another, and things are not looking good. but would she choose to take clover's life at the cost of her daughter's one and only friend?
what if clover didn't come in peace, but in vengeance?
or maybe ceroba somehow accepts clover, growing to respect them after all is said and done, and she tries to experiment on a living human soul?
or maybe, wracked with grief and loneliness, kanako discards her mother's warnings and takes the new, updated serum herself, determined to become the hero for her family like she always wanted...?
or, something else could happen.
what if, after an unhappy ending, kanako wakes up on that same day again, waiting for clover to come by the ketsukane estate for the first time? she doesn't even know how it's possible, reliving the same few weeks over and over. she just wants to find her happy ending, and she'll search and search for as long as she needs to.
how long can she watch the same endings play out over and over?
#undertale yellow#uty#kanako ketsukane#uty au#clover uty#timeloops#you may be asking Goomy do the timeloops have anything to do with determination. how did kako get determination#my answer: Idk.#i just knew i wanted to put her in a timeloop for funsies ok#Lets all pretend she somehow SOMEHOW has more determination than flowey for WHATEVER reason. If you want.#OR this can be entierly unrelated to determination. i like this excuse better#there's no telling if anyone outside of flowey Actively Remembers saves/reloads#even the person supposedly doing the reloading like clover or frisk#IDK MAN. A LOT OF STUFF IS UP IN THE AIR I JUST WANTED TO PUT KANAKO IN HIGURASHI OK#TIMELOOPS HOORAAAAAY#goomyart#doodles#edit: ORRRR flowey helps kanako save instead of clover for some reason#why he would do this idk. maybe he wants a better ending too#and kanako is a faster way to access that rather than clover. Idk

I've placed a self-ban on myself from posting any new Sylus fics until I finish Bride of the Dragon King. 😔👉👈
But just know, I will absolutely write this scenario into a proper story eventually 😤
[ Masterlist ★ Series Index ]
Sylus + Little Birdie ☆ Daddy is a Kitty?
During one family weekend in Linkon City while visiting Meow's Café, Sylus has, once again, offended the kitties. They immediately punish him and turn him into a caracal. Again.
Sylus is irate.
He is sitting in a booth, legs and arms crossed, silently fuming, already plotting to buy Meow's Café just so he can bulldoze it.
You're frantically appealing to OTTO Manager who feels just as helpless (omg someone pls save OTTO Manager, they're not paid to deal with any of this BS)
The kitties are meowing loudly, rebelling, and yelling about how Sylus deserves this, and they refuse to change him back 😾
Little Birdie stares in wonder amidst all of the commotion and chaos.
Slowly, she walks over and climbs onto the booth, and then into Sylus' lap.
Sylus is lost in his head, too angry to even notice her. He is just acting on his paternal instinct when he steadied her to keep her from falling.
She reaches up and lightly touches one ear. It twitches. She giggles. She gently scratches Sylus' new ear.
The café suddenly goes quiet as everyone hears a soft voice singing:
🎶 Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty. Purr, purr, purr. 🎶
Sylus closes his eyes and unwittingly starts to purr.
He suddenly breaks out of his trance, and he looks down, surprised to see his daughter smiling up at him.
She had sensed Sylus' anger earlier, so she asks with a soft, sweet smile, "Does Daddy feel better now? 🥹"
Sylus' face softens. He smiles and leans down to kiss her cheek. He is still mad that he was turned into a caracal again, but seeing his daughter's sweet smiling face calms him down immediately.
"Yes, baby, I feel better now," he answers, giving her a hug and another kiss on her cheek.
The kitties are touched by this scene and unanimously agree to reverse his punishment. 😺😸
BONUS SCENES
Sylus sings 'Soft Kitty' with his daughter and the kitties are mad again 😾 (at him, of course 😔)
One month punishment as a caracal and he is also banned from Meow's Café for the duration of his sentence.
You're dismayed.
Baby Birdie is delighted. "YAY KITTY DADDY."
Sylus shrugs, resigned.
[Later at home in the N109 Zone]
Normally, your daughter is very easy to put to bed, but tonight she is insisting on only wanting kitty daddy to put her to bed and sing her a lullaby. (Poor child is also tone deaf and is the only one who enjoys Sylus' singing 😔 /J)
"Daddy is taking a shower right now, baby. Come on, Mommy can sing you a lullaby. Better than Daddy as well..."
Baby Birdie is disappointed, but she doesn't fight you on this. "Can Daddy sing me to sleep tomorrow, Mommy? 🥺"
"Of course, baby. 🙂" (You @ you: WHY DOES SHE LIKE HIS SINGING SO MUCH??? 😐😮💨😭)
You manage to get her to sleep eventually and when you return to the master bedroom, you find Sylus is already in bed.
"She's finally asleep," you tell him, exhausted. "She only wants kitty daddy right now."
He smirks, amused. His ears twitch, and his tail sways from side to side.
When you get into bed, you notice Sylus is...very frisky.
"Sy-SYLUS???"
He laughs and grins lecherously. "Isn't it time for us kitties to play?"
"We made such a cute daughter already," he continues, unabashed, "Maybe it's time we start on our next...'litter,' and give her siblings. 😈"
[THE END BECAUSE THIS IS A ✨️WHOLESOME SERIES✨️ OK. I WRITE ENOUGH SYLUS BREEDING FICS ALREADY. 😔
But something something implications and something something Sylus needing to rut because of his feline instincts rn 😔😔😔]
#love and deepspace#love and deepspace sylus#love and deepspace x reader#sylus x reader#this is my loophole for my own self-ban#😭👍

(Requested) TfOne!D-16 x Cybertronian!Femme!Reader/Yandere!Sentinel x Cybertronian!Femme!Reader: Sparkling
Content: D-16 and reader are expecting. Sentinel lies about D and Orion dying. Sentinel holds reader captive until D returns but by then he’s a different person by then.
TW/Tags: possessiveness, wholesome movements, death, pregnant!reader, cutest little sparkling I’ve ever wrote for oh my god I love this family, Megatron is a soft baby daddy, he loves reader and his sparkling, Sentinel really just held reader captive over night after Ds “death”. I think that’s all.
Note: I decided Conjunx isn’t a thing in this fic in order for a certain plot point in the story to work so sorry no Conjunx in this fic like in most of my others.
You and D-16 have been together for a long time. When he became your sparkmate. Things only got better when you have him the news you're with sparkling. You both talked about this day. It was common for miners to have little spankings running around and to eventually start helping with finding energon for the city.
Though you like a few others didn’t want this for your child. D is the same. Even contemplating about possibly giving you a sparkling.
So when you gave him the news. He soon returned it with joy. He already knew he’ll not regret raising a lil mini him with you. He chuckled at the thought once he told you that. You smiled at him. Happy to see him in thought of having a little mini him running around.
To play and playfully beat up his uncle Orion. You’d feel your sparkling grow in your stomach. And boy. Were they a big baby.
”Come on Megatronus is a great name if a boy. Oh! And Solus if a girl! And Prima if nutural!”
”D we are not naming our sparkling after a Prime. Why not after your best friend Orion-“
”NO-“
”Ok-“You chuckled. Gently holding his cervos as you both chuckled. Eventually you both agreed on a name that D called. Tough and strong. You didn’t mind it as much.
You already saw some of their head pushing some metal forward. Then the same thing happening from the top of your waist where their legs are located.
D was pretty proud of how big his little sparkling inside you was getting. “Haha! Big bot just like their sire!”
He did brag for a few days until you would drag him away. Giving the others a break. Even Orion was pretty excited to be an uncle and would ask to feel the dents from the baby at times when D wasn’t around. You’d of course let him..
But D hated it when you had to stay in the mining rooms for a few months as it got harder for you to even move. You still looked normal as you only had a few metal parts sticking out from your stomach
When the day came for the Iacon race. You told D you would stay with the other spiked femmes and GN bots. D understood and give you a loving kiss. “Man I cant wait to have you all to myself again.”
Causing Orion to groan as D chuckled. “Yes you will…after a couple months once my body heals.”
You responded to mess with him and avenge poor Orion. Causing D to now groan and chuckle after. And so later that day he and Orion made their way to the race. After what seemed like 30 minutes. You’d then feel a surge of pressure at your pelvis.
Uh oh. The other bot looked at you as you look down.
Your water broke.
You were in Pain. D was at the race with no way of anyone reaching him easily from within the crowed.
You were immediately brought to the cit hospital. Luckily you were a mining bot so carrying you into a room was easier.
Senitnel, who was there after the race to come “congratulate” the two miners from the race. After dealing with the two and having Airachnid send Darkwing to “deal” with them.
As you were brought in and sat in the room. Sentinel who just happened to be there. Was looking at you. Intrigued by a femme so well kept as you are. But when one of the nurses said you were here to give birth….he was upset. But he wasn’t too worried.
In this world where they can give berth to a transformer. He made sure the poeple in medican. Having the privilege to help people. Knows to remove the cogs of a child. If their parent happens to be a miner.
As you waited. The sparkling finally calming down for a bit. As you waited you then heard a knock at your door. Walking in was Sentinel himself. He had his usual smile as he does when he speaks to the city through the hologram. You were surprised. And you couldn’t really sit up as he then spoke.
From there he stayed with you for some time until it came time for you to give birth.
”Ah always nice to see another bot coming in to give another life. How are we feeling today my dear?” He sat in one of the chairs. “And who is this….Lucky bot?”
”He’s one of our strongest miners sir. I’m lucky enough to have him as a Conjunx. His name is D-16.”…..Sentinel gulped. But chuckled to not raise suspicion. Ah yes we love it when our worker make time to create families just like the rest of us!”
You’d not as looked out the window. “Hopefully the others find him at the race and and tells him the wonderful news.”
You didn’t notice the cringe look on his face.
When he was about to speak suddenly you groaned. “Th- the baby! It’s coming!!!” You screamed as the doctors and nurses ran in. Sentinel was asked to leave as you were about to give birth. He walked out and saw Darkwing. Speaking low to him as the two looked at the door. Hearing you moan and groan.
”Are they dealt with?”
”Yes sir.” Sentinel smiled.
———————————————————————————
During this D and Orion were sneaking on the train with B. D was of course against it. Not knowing still of your situation. He tells Orion how you must have at least a few days before birth but he should still be there with you. That’s until Orion finally convinces him to go. He already knows he’ll get an earful from you.
After you gave birth to your sparkling. The nurses took your sparkling to watch them up.
They were able to fix you up removing those visible outer dents from under your chest to down above your pelvis.
As you laid there the doctors made sure you were covered up . You were exhausted. Sentinel then gave a nurse an order to turn on the tv in order for you to hear the news by him.
After some time you were more awake. You looked at the TV and saw Sentinel speak.
As you listened, you are hit with the worst news as you saw clips of D-16 and Orion in the race…..D was dead..
You were crying as the nurses came in with your sparkling. Pretending to be unaware of the tv.
As you were able to sit up, you gently held you sparkling. She looked so much like her Sire….Having Ds color scheme. Most of his armor. Her chest and legs looking like yours.
Her helmet a mix of both of yours and Ds. She has your purple optics. And……she’s cogless…of course. But non the less….she’s beautuiful….perfect.
She looked up at you and opened her mouth, like she wanted to speak as she smiles at you…She has her Sires smile, little grin…You felt both pain but joy at the same time in your spark.
After some time as you gently rested your cervo on your sparklings chest.
Her gently grabbing your digit with her little cervos as she tried to bite at the tip of your digit. Her big purple optics staring up at you as a smile still formed at the corner of her dermas.
Tears slowly going down you optics as you stared down at her. Sentinel then walked in. Taking his seat once more and looked at you and your sparkling. You believe this is a high honor.
“So how’s the lil sparkling doin?”
He said in a cheery voice trying to seem like he cares as he looks at you instead of your sparkling. You spoke as your voice was dry and rough. But still almost the same.
”She’s wonderful. Strong and healthy…Just like her Sire.” She giggled as she keeps trying to eat at your digit.
“The nurses are coming with energon….I just. Don’t know what to do when I return to the mining quarters….Raising her without her Sire…”
You’d then feel Sentinel place a cervo on your shoulder as ou both can hear your sparkling babble.
“You know…giving your ‘sparkmate’ has proven miners can show that they can do more. Even without a cog! Why don’t you come to the tower. Live up the life you would’ve had with him. A better life for you and your sparkling. Of course you can visit your mining friends so you sparkling can be with other little miners as well.”
You looked at him. “Do you truly mean this Sentinel?”
”Of course my dear.” He cringed a bit and tried to think of what to do next to keep your guard down. “Uhh What’s her name.”
You’d gently smile at him as you tell him.
”Spiker”
———————————————————————————
After some time you were living at the tower for the time being. Sentinel told you you two will go over how to help the miners.
After sometime you stared to wonder. Everytime he was with you, he’d just complement you and even flirt with you at times as you tried to spend your first day with your sparkling as much as you can.
At times you’d notice at the corner of your optics. At the door Sentinel was watching you…What is he up to?
A few hours before D would return unknown to you. You’re still grieving. Setting you sparkling in her crib to sleep as her little cervos held onto your digit until you pulled away.
As you walked to the door, Sentinel was there in the living room with his cervos behind his back. He’d then notice you walk out and he takes steps towards you with his usual smile. “Sentinel are we ready to finally speak about helping the miners.”
He chuckled. His cervo gently grabbing yours once he kneeled down as his brings it to his dermas and kissed the back of it.
“I’ve seen your track record. I must say I’m impressed.” He keeps your cervo close to his helm as he stares down at you. “Thank you Sentinel. So are we to speak here? Or in a meeting rooom with other surpior?”
He scoffed but then soon chuckles. “Yes we’ll get to that. But I also have..another position for you my dear.”
His helm leaning down closer to you.
”Seeing that your sparkmate is…deceased. You should give your sweet sparkling a new sire. No sparkling should grow with just one parent.”
You just stared up at him as you grow more confused. What is he saying?” Before you knew it you were pinned against the wall. His frame against yours.
”Sentinel what are you-“
”Shh shh. Don’t wish to wake up our sparkling now don’t you?” He grinned as his cervos set on your hips. You’d press your cervos against his chest as you spoke in a whisper.
”Sentinel I cant just..date a prime!” You were basically covered by him as his optics narrowed.
”Oh I wasn’t asking sweetspark…Don’t worry I’m sure we’ll get a cog from a bot that no one will remember. And for your sparkling as well….sadly the only down side will be you and your sparkling…will be completely……different.”
You only stared at him with wide optics. He’s then grin.
”Now be a good partner and spend some time with your Prime. Hm?”
He chuckled. His dermas on your neck cable as he places soft kisses as you turned your helm towards the door. The room your sparkling is at.
Primus. What have you done?
———————————————————————————
You would stay in the large apartment in a tower belonging to Sentine and his closest guards. You’ve been there for almost an hour until you see Sentinels guards bring in unconscious bots. It seems they went into the meeting room of the tower. It was already morning.
Your sparkling was in your arms as she ate some energon. She would’ve started crying if you left her and is already wide awake. You made your way to the door and peaked through the door.
Your sparkling calm. She defiently takes it from you.
You’d see a bunch of bots on their knees as Sentinel spoke to a larger bot. And it seemed that their cervos were tied behind their back. You didn’t notice a now cogged D-16. You came from the door behind the many bots.
You thought maybe these bots could help you if you can help release them. Or maybe distract Sentinel and the guards enough for one of them to escape?
And so with your sparkling gently grabbing at your chest as she looks up at you. You walked out once he punches a grayish bot and kneeled before the bot. He seemed to have taken a sticker off the bot. Almost sounding familiar. The bot then yelled.
”He’s a greater then you’ll ever be!”
Sentinel puts the sticker back and starts engraving something on the bots chest. Causing you to run closer. The other bots there looking at you.
”Sentinel!” He stoppped once he heard you. “Y/N! Return to your room! Guards! Take her and the sparkling back.”
Your sparkling started crying as the guards got closer. She was reaching for te grey bot. When the bot seemed to slowly get up. He was almost on his side as he looked up and saw you.
“Y/N!”
His optics wide as he saw you and….His Sparkling!!! Spiker still crying as she reached out to him. Knowing her Sire.
You kept her close as the guards grabbed your arms. And one of them tries to take her in order to not hurt her when dragging you back. D then starts getting up.
Only for a guard to punch him forward as he only stared at you and Spiker.
“Protect Y/N and get them out of here!”
Out of now where a train came and hit Sentinel. The guards soon take you out of the tower. Taking you down the halls as one of them held your sparkling who didn’t stop crying.
You could not hear distruction and your sparklings cry’s. But out of nowhere a punch of seekers came and took care of the guards.
They told you they work for D-16 and as one of the femmes pick you up. Another bot was able to get your sparkling. He gently held the chikd and flew you two out fo the tower. Bringing you to a safe distance and join alongside a crowd.
Your sparkling reaching to you the while time in the bots arms. You and your sparkling in your arms stand for a good time as you watched D fight and kill Megatron.
You covered your sparkling optics after he dropped Optimus down into the planet.
After Optimus Primes and Megatrons battle. One of the seekers looked at you and picks you up. Taking with him as you all flew to the surface.
During your flying time two cogs appeared. Megatron below seeing this. The cogs go into your and your sparklings chest. Causing you two to change your alt mode in the seekers arms.
Once you all made your way to a safe spot of the surface at a mountain. The seeker let you down and leaves.
As everyone else stayed at one part of the mountain.
You and Spiker were a bit further away. As Megatron requested. Soon Megatron made his way to you. You calmed your sparkling who was trying to stop crying.
Megatron looked down at you and your sparkling. His now red optics almost soft and his face a mix of anger, sadness, worry, and almost uncertain. You looked at him as your sparkling reached up to him.
”You…were at his tower..”
”Megatron he kept me there against my will! He told me you died! He wouldn’t let me leave after going there. I believed he wanted me to help make the city better! I-I-I”
As you spoke he looked at his sparkling. She looked so much like him with small traits of you. She continued to stare at him with wide optics as she reached up at him with a smile and giggling.
”D- Megatron I didn’t know I thought you were dead. I thought you-“
He set his cervo on your waist as he leaned down. Now only being a few feet shorter then him. Being a few inches taller then Starscream.
”I..Undertsand. He lied to me too. He lied to all of us.”
His other cervo gently holding Spikers back as she stared up at him.
”But we know the truth now. And I will lead us to the future. A better on. For You. Our sparkling. Us. Everyone here for us to have a better home.”
His forhelm presses against yours as Spiker continues to reach up at him. Megatron then presses his dermas against yours. You both holding a passionate and soft kiss with each other as you both close your optics. When you both pulled apart Spiker let out a baby shout and moving her little arms.
Megatron chuckled and gently held her. taking her from your arms.
”And you my little sparkling shall be my heir. My when I saw those pushed dents on your carrier I didn’t expect you to be this much bigger. You gave her that name we agreed to?”
”Yes…her name is Spiker. She has a Strong personality.”
You joked as you watched him hold Spiker up. Her little cervos reaching for his face as he smiled up at her. He’d then bring her closer to his helm.
Letting her cervos gently grab at his chin and nose.
He kept a smile on his dermas as he notices she has his smile. Even having his laugh as she only looked at him with joy.
You with a smile on your face as well. He’d hold her with one arm as his other sets on your waist pulling you closer as he smiles down at you. You setting a cervo on Spikers lap and the other on Megatrons chest. Even Spiker had one of her little cervos on top of yours and her other reacher for Megatrons chin. You three really do look like a happy family.
From then on you and your sparkling stay by Megatrons side. A family to rule together. Even as things…slowly change.
I WISH i was reader right now like my god- I love this man so much and obviously for a big and strong dude of course he’d make big sparklings (Idea: Terry from Brooklyn nine-nine).

you are right. Men are strangely united. When we look at other species a lot of the males can’t even be AROUND each other lol. I remember when I was a kid my parents had a big fish tank and they always used to explain to me that we couldn’t have 2 male Bettas in the same tank as they’d just fight each other.
I think I’ve just come up with a theory on why men hate us so much, and it’s nothing to do with womb envy like some radfems theorise. I think it’s a lot simpler than that. I think they started to resent us because they have wayyyy higher sex drives than we do, to the point where many men’s lives purely revolve around sex, to the point where they are utterly obsessed with women, and it pissed them off that we’re not as horny as they are because that gives us more freedom and independence. We’re not controlled by our urges to the same extent as they are. I think they know their horniness clouds their judgement and makes them more irrational. You can even see this be demonstrated in modern times when they tweet stuff like “If women didn’t have vaginas we’d be hunting them for sport”. this is of course disgustingly offensive and misogynistic, but I find it slightly hilarious in a way that he basically just admitted he hates women but he’s so controlled by his urges like a lower life form that he’s still drawn to us
I’m assuming at some point in human history men started to collectively realise they were all united by their resentment towards women and started to slowly impose more and more control over women while teaching their sons to do the same. and eventually religion became a thing, allowing patriarchy to spread easily around the world (which is, I think, one of the reasons why religion was developed in the first place). Once Holy Texts like the Bible came into existence, I think that is truly when misogyny became entrenched forever because now entire populations can be more easily brainwashed into hating women, even women themselves! Just teach them from the moment they were born that they were created from Adam’s rib.
I feel like this would explain so many of the insults they hurl at women because it’s so obvious that they’re projecting.
“Women only exist for sex” says the guy whose thoughts revolve only around how he will get his next opportunity to have sex, the same guy who changes his entire personality to suit the new woman he just met because he’s empty inside and his only purpose in life is to get laid so he’s more than happy not to be true to himself for it
“Women are so emotional” says the incel who’s planning a school shooting spree in his head because a girl rejected him
“Women are sluts and whores” say members of the gender who admit they’d sleep with any woman who approached them
“Women are nothing without men - they cry every day about the thought of not getting married one day” lol I thought there was a male loneliness epidemic? There’s literally incels threatening to kill themselves if women don’t have sex with them?
So yeah, I think maybe they’ve developed psychological issues from constantly having to address the fact that they’re more obsessed with us than we are with them and they don’t have the emotional intelligence and empathy required (whether from nature or nurture I do not know) to deal with it in a rational way. And now that religion is a thing patriarchy is truly a deep-rooted disease.
Human beings are so susceptible to propaganda and now we just have state-sponsored religious propaganda out there preaching the inferiority of women. So I feel like even a guy who is somehow sexually satisfied (I feel like this is rare because they always want more than they have, but let’s just pretend for a second) could still be a misogynist because he’s been raised hearing these misogynist religious principles.
I learned of a Tiktok 'trend' recently of men taking their female family members, friends, partners etc out on a lovely nature walk, then starting to record and saying "I bet nobody would be able to hear you scream here."
There is not ONE video that the woman laughs in, even when they explain the prank. Not one. For a sex who have been socialised to nervously laugh when uncomfortable, not one of them found it funny. It was mothers who stopped dead in their tracks, their eyes filled with fear. It was girlfriends who started running away in fear, to the laughing taunts of "it was just a joke come back!!!!!". It was sisters who stared these men down, unable to process what this male had said to them.
First of all, the timing is sociopathic. It's not an accident. With Nick "we control your bodies b*tch" Fuentes doing a monologue that undeniably sunk into the psyches of most men, AND the general political landscape for women atm, they feel joy and pleasure at unabashedly making their female friends and family suffer. They giggle at the prospect of making them fear for their life, and they film it for other men to get off on.
Moids continually stun me. After hundreds of thousands of years of oppression you'd think I would understand and expect it, but they reach new heights every time I blink. Deep down, I'm just a hopeful girl who sees men as humans. I try not to assume they're beyond saving, but they're making it harder to believe. They just seem wired for pain and suffering and destruction.
My heart bleeds for the women and girls in places where they have full reign. These demons won't stop until they have raped and destroyed the planet in pursuit of more intense porn to feel a sliver of the emotion women possess.

𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜 & 𝙡𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙮 ⋆˚𝜗𝜚˚⋆
Pairing: Boyfriend!Jake × girlfriend!fem!reader (featuring Sunghoon and Ni-ki)
Synopsis: You and your boyfriend's bandmates decided to surprise your lovely hardworking puppy for his birthday yuuuururrrr yup yup
Genre: teeth rotting fluff, little suggestive ending, jakes birthday!!
𝙈𝙖𝙧’𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙚: Happy Birthday Jake Skibidi i love that man... (requests are currently opened) Dont really have much to say since I posted yesterday but.... Ill be making a masterlist soon to organize my fics! ( Sorry for being inactive, I almost quit this morning i was having a moment,...) ENJOY !!!
You couldn’t contain your excitement. Today was Jake’s birthday, and you had something special planned with his closest friends, Sunghoon and Ni-ki. Jake was the type who’d do anything to make his friends happy, so this year, you wanted to make sure his birthday was one he’d never forget.
After a week of whispered phone calls and sneaky planning sessions, everything was finally coming together. You’d rented a cozy rooftop space downtown with fairy lights strung along the railings, a table set with his favorite snacks, and a small corner dedicated to photos of all the memories he’d made with his friends and with you.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, you and Jake’s friends finished up the last-minute details. Ni-ki, as usual, was cracking jokes while struggling with the balloons, while Sunghoon meticulously adjusted the lights, making sure everything looked perfect.
“You guys ready?” you asked, eyeing the setup with a smile.
Sunghoon nodded, taking a step back to survey their work. “He’s going to freak out when he sees this.”
“He’d better,” Ni-ki joked, pretending to wipe sweat from his brow. “After all this effort, he owes us dinner for a year!”
Just as you all shared a laugh, you got a text from Jake. He was on his way, completely oblivious to the surprise waiting for him. The three of you scrambled to hide and take your places, shushing each other as you saw his silhouette coming up the stairs.
Jake opened the door, and as he stepped onto the rooftop, everyone jumped up and yelled, “SURPRISE!”
He froze, his eyes wide as he took in the scene. The fairy lights cast a warm glow, illuminating the table piled with his favorite treats and the wall of photos filled with moments of him laughing, goofing around, and sharing memories with his closest friends.
“Y/N? Sunghoon? Ni-ki?” he stammered, looking around in awe. “You guys… did all this?”
You stepped forward, beaming. “Happy Birthday, Jake! We wanted to make sure today was as amazing as you are.”
Jake's gaze softened, a smile slowly spreading across his face. “I don’t know what to say. This is… incredible.”
Ni-ki nudged him playfully. “Come on, Jake, don’t get too sappy. This rooftop rental wasn’t cheap!”
Everyone burst into laughter as Sunghoon handed him a small party hat. “Put it on,” he insisted, grinning. “Birthday boy rules.”
Jake obliged, chuckling as he let his friends shower him in confetti and hand him snacks. Eventually, he made his way over to the photo wall, his fingers brushing over the snapshots.
“Where did you find all of these?” he asked, his voice filled with nostalgia.
Sunghoon smirked, exchanging a knowing glance with you. “It wasn’t easy, but Y/N and I managed to dig some up from your old albums. Turns out, you have a lot of embarrassing baby photos.”
Jake turned to you, chuckling softly, his eyes shining. “I can’t believe you did all of this.”
“Of course I did,” you replied, stepping closer. “You’re worth every second of planning.”
As the night wore on, the four of you shared stories, laughed until your sides hurt, and reminisced about all the adventures you’d had together. Jake couldn’t stop smiling, his eyes lighting up every time he looked around at his friends.
Later, as the others gathered on the far side of the rooftop to argue over the playlist, Jake turned to you, his voice soft. “This is the best birthday I’ve ever had.”
Your heart fluttered, and you looked up at him, feeling the warmth in his gaze. “I’m just glad you’re happy, Jake.”
He gave you a shy smile, his hand finding yours. “I am. And it’s all because of you.”
The two of you stood there, wrapped in each other’s warmth under the glow of the fairy lights, making a memory that you both knew you’d cherish forever.
The rooftop was quiet now, the fairy lights casting a soft glow over the scattered decorations as you and Jake stood side by side, watching the city lights below. Sunghoon and Ni-ki had just left, leaving you and Jake alone. You felt a flutter in your chest – the kind that only happened when it was just the two of you, sharing a quiet moment.
“Tonight was… perfect,” he murmured, his voice low. His hand found yours, fingers intertwining as he pulled you closer.
You looked up at him, your heart racing as you took in the soft look in his eyes. "I’m glad you had fun. You deserve it, Jake.”
He smiled, his gaze dropping to your lips before meeting your eyes again. “I don’t think I’ve ever felt this happy. And I think it’s mostly because of you.”
You swallowed, the intensity of his gaze making your skin tingle. The air between you felt charged, his thumb softly tracing circles on the back of your hand.
Jake gently lifted your chin, his face only inches from yours. "Thank you… for everything tonight." His voice was barely a whisper as he leaned in, his lips brushing softly against yours. The kiss was slow, tender, his hand finding the small of your back and pulling you close.
The world seemed to melt away as his hands slipped around your waist, his warmth wrapping around you like a blanket. His lips moved with yours, gentle at first but growing more insistent as he deepened the kiss. You felt your knees weaken as he pressed you back gently against the rail, his hands framing your face.
Breaking the kiss, he rested his forehead against yours, his breath warm against your skin. "I could get used to this," he murmured, a playful smile tugging at his lips.
You laughed softly, a little breathless. “Who says you have to stop?”
His eyes darkened, and his arms tightened around you. “Good,” he whispered, pulling you into another kiss, this time slower, more lingering – the kind of kiss that promised a night you’d both remember.

hello! out of curiosity, would it be possible for a witch with healing magic to let Hunter, i don’t know, bite a part of their hand off, and then just regenerate it with their magic? i’m not sure if that would defeat the plot of the au as Hunter would freely be able to chomp on someone, haha!
.
Actually they can! However it’s incredibly limiting. This method would only allow Hunter to get surface level meat. He also need organs, deep tissue, bone, ect. Also while healing magic can do all sorts of wonders and I’m sure could regenerate limbs and flesh depending on how talented the healer is. I doubt they would find someone genuine that’s would be willing to do such a thing and at a frequent rate, especially when he starts eating more and actually developing healthy eating habits. I’m sure one of his family members would be happy to do this but Hunter would never allow it. Id imagine it also be a much longer medical procedure than him simply being able to bite chunks out since that would literally him mutilating someone alive lol, even with the help of numbing or pain relief potions.
The amount of food shown would have been perfect for Hunter a few years ago but now with lots of love and healthy habits being put upon him, it’s no longer sustainable. But what healing witches can provide is blood!
Blood is a good alternative for when he’s unable to have meat so I’d imagine he’d be pretty stocked up on it. He gets frequent refills on blood, it’s also slightly more socially acceptable to have as I’d imagine blood being a regular part of some demons and those suffering from vampirism diets. I’d think most people would assume Hunter is a vampire if they don’t know about the grimwalker situation. So he takes blood bags with him on the go as food.
Of course he needs actual food and lots of it as he’s pretty malnourished and has lots of catching up to do. As well as developing healthy eating habits.
He eventually gets a pass that allows him to eat bits of bodies that aren’t being used, that where donated. So if a bunch of healer students are dissecting a cadaver, Hunter is cleanup. Or if organs are given for a transplant, Hunter could eat what wasn’t used. Obviously this disturbs Hunter but it’s better than going feral and attacking people. Of course it was a bit difficult to obtain pass but with the right strings pulled and some light threats, he was able to get it.
All these images are post canon in the Au. For the amount of pain and suffering inflected upon Hunter for the majority of this Au, I do want him to have a happy ending. While there are tragic alternatives, him having a happy ending was always my intention. While it be more difficult to reach than in canon, he gets there eventually :3
(Feel free to ask some questions but do note it may take a bit of time to answer, I already have some questions waiting rn lol)

Fate
Pairing: Bucky x Reader (soulmate AU)
Summary: Your soulmate isn't anything like you thought they'd be.
Warnings: Canon level violence, Canon compliant (so far), angst.
Word Count: 639
A/N: This is a series! I might keep it short, but if people love it enough I'll drag it out. If I do drag it out there may be eventual smut. I'll edit this post if that happens to include proper warnings.
Read part one here
The Wait
It had been years since you had seen him. Your soulmate. The only time you had ever seen him. Well, in real life anyway. After you returned home that day, you looked into the Winter Soldier, Hydra, and SHIELD to see what you could find out. It definitely helped that the news that Hydra fell was made public within hours of it happening. You guessed, no hoped, that he had only been their pawn. You came to believe that he must be Sargeant James Buchanan Barnes. Different theories abounded online about the identity of the Winter Soldier after everything that transpired. But you didn't need those to come to that conclusion. A shrine full of World War Two books, maps, figurines, and the like stood tall in the corner of your apartment. Well, the space wasn't very big since neither was your apartment. You definitely knew who Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, and the rest of the Howling Commandos were though. Interest and curiosity of the heroes (and the war) had held you in its grip since you were a teenager. You studied that face enough times growing up to know that the Winter Soldier had to be him. Realization never dawned on you at the time you met him due to the shock of the situation. But shortly afterwards, you were sure of it.
Of course, as time passed it turned out that the Winter Soldier was indeed Sargeant James Barnes. You watched the news the day of King T'Chaka's assassination. Despite the heartbroken state you found yourself in after hearing the news, you were certain it couldn't have been him. Why on earth would he wear those clothes? He had never once dressed like that as the Winter Soldier. Why would he use a bomb? He was a sharp shooter. That would be way easier, more precise, and stealthier. Besides, he had been an assassin, not a terrorist. Not that either were a good thing. It just didn't make sense that it would have been him.
Luckily, it turned out it wasn't him. He had been framed. You heard the news on the tv that your soulmate had gone back on the run, back into hiding, after the fight between the Avengers. Years had already passed at that point, and you wondered when you were going to get to meet him properly.
You refused to date during this time. Plenty of people did while waiting for their soulmates. You had too, before you received your tattoo that night. But after seeing him the next day, and knowing he was real, you decided you would wait for him, however long that took.
After what felt like an eternity, the blip occurred. And you had disappeared with it. For five years. Five years the world kept moving on while half its population was gone. You weren't entirely sure if Bucky had disappeared in the blip too or not. It didn't really matter though, as you still hadn't met eachother since that first day.
You had seen his new vibranium arm though, and you half-expected your star tattoo to disappear and turn into something else. You were glad things seemed to be going better for him. You hoped he was happy. You just wished you could be there to make him happy yourself.
You stayed in your apartment in Brooklyn. Hoping that one day you might see him here, since it was his hometown. So far, of course, you had had no such luck. Your days blurred together, working retail and coming home just to give yourself enough time to mentally rest yourself before the next shift. You didn't have a very exciting life, but it didn't matter. You kept yourself busy. That way you didn't have time to think about what you might be missing out on. You just hoped that someday soon you could finally meet him again. Properly, this time.

you went to school for photography, photography had always been one of the loves of your life, you would see a scene and just have the urge to take a photo. although looking back, you almost regret getting your degree in it, people always say not to mix your passion and your work. you should have listened, photography is one of those professions where finding stable work feels like trying to catch lightning in a bottle. the industry is oversaturated, and the competition is fierce. jobs hard to score, and the pay is often inconsistent, making it hard to rely on it as a full-time career.
at the time, you were stuck working part-time at a mcdonald's in a rundown part of town. the job paid just enough to cover rent and bills, but the hours were long, the work was grueling, and the atmosphere was depressing. you had a camera, of course, but it felt more like a distant dream you once held as a naive college student than something real. that is, until one evening, when one of your coworkers - someone you didn’t really know that well - approached you with an unexpected proposition.
they had an idea - a suggestion so simple yet so completely outside the box that, at first, it felt almost too good to be true. you’d never considered anything like it before, it wasn’t a big corporate gig, or some trendy magazine cover shoot, or even a commissioned project for a local business. it wasn’t even a photoshoot in the typical sense, but that was exactly the point. it was something raw, something spontaneous, and - most importantly - a reason to use your camera again, reignite your childhood passion.
your coworker, the one you barely knew and could hardly remember the name of, was a fan of a particular idol. the idol wasn’t incredibly popular, they rarely made headlines but was a recognizable, familiar face, you had been interested in idol’s at one point but eventually had to abandon the hobby in favor of paying your bills. this idol was attending a private, high-profile event - an exclusive gathering with limited access - where fans rarely got the chance to meet them in person, let alone snap a photo.
somehow, your coworker had managed to get tickets to this event, which in itself was a pretty rare feat, they had an idea: "why don’t you come with me as my plus one?" they asked casually, almost as if they were offering you a ticket to a normal night out. but then came the twist. "i’ll pay you for the photos you take while we’re there. you know, of the idol. if you’re up for it."
the offer caught you off guard. at first, you weren’t sure if you heard them correctly, pay you? to take photos? of an idol? you had spent years hustling to scrape by, working part-time jobs just to keep the lights on. you’d never even thought about something like this - photographing an idol for money on the spot. there was always official photos, and some fans took photos from their phones, but going into these events with a nice, high end camera taking candid photos of idols, the idea wasn't necessarily ground breaking, people have done it before, but it made your heart beat a bit faster.
the more you thought about it, though, the more it seemed to make sense. here was a chance to finally break out of the routine you’d been stuck in. you could do something different, something that didn’t involve working under fluorescent lights flipping burgers at mcdonald's. it wasn’t a perfect opportunity, but it was an opportunity. something real, something that could get you one step closer to doing what you loved for a living.
sure, there was a risk. not getting good shots or you freezing up under the pressure. you weren’t sure, but then again, there wasn't anything to lose. it was a chance to take your photography out of the mundane and into the world of exclusive events, star power, and actual exposure - something you’d always dreamed about but never quite reached.
you agreed, of course. you had to. the idea, while risky and untraditional, was too intriguing to pass up. it wasn’t the glamorous photoshoot you’d always imagined, but maybe this could be your shot. so, you packed your camera and tagged along, unsure of what to expect but knowing that this could be the break you needed.
when you arrived at the event, the energy was electric—idols sitting at their tables ready to sign posters and chat with fans, photographers buzzing around, and security everywhere. you were just another face in the crowd, but with your camera in hand, you felt a strange sense of possibility. the idol you were there to photograph was charismatic, surrounded by an entourage, but the moment you snapped the first shot, it felt like the world had opened up in a way you hadn’t expected.
sure enough, the photos you took that night were more than just decent, they were actually pretty great. the light was perfect, the atmosphere electric, and the idol looked natural in front of the camera, by the time the night ended, you had a batch of photos that would go on to be worth more than you had imagined. it was in that moment that you realized how little you had known about the potential of your work. you had been so focused on following the traditional paths, waiting for commissions, applying for jobs that never seemed to come through, that you’d never considered going outside the box.
your coworker was absolutely thrilled with the photos you took. they couldn’t believe how good they turned out, and the way the idol had looked so natural and approachable in each shot. the pictures weren’t just great, they were special. your coworker practically couldn’t stop talking about them. the excitement in their voice was contagious, and you could tell they were more than just happy with what you'd done; they were impressed. they handed over the agreed payment, which was far more than you expected for something that felt like a spur-of-the-moment gig. you’d never made that much from photography in one night, it felt like you were finally reaching your dreams, it felt like you were finally being acknowledged for your passion.
the real surprise came a few hours later, when your coworker posted the photos on their social media account. They tagged the idol, shared a few behind-the-scenes captions, and - just like that - the photos took off. almost immediately, the reactions started pouring in. fans of the idol who had been eagerly following the event began commenting on the post, captivated by the authenticity and energy you had managed to capture. the photos weren’t just snapshots - they were a window into a moment, and it felt like people were getting a glimpse behind the idols polished public persona.
at first, the comments were more along the lines of casual appreciation like, ‘my bby looks so cutee’ or ‘the lighting on these OMG.’ But as the hours went by, something bigger started to happen. fans were flooding the post, asking for more. a few commented on how they’d never seen the idol look so relaxed or how these photos felt so much more real than the usual, heavily edited promotional shots they were used to seeing. then came the requests: ‘i LiTERALLY NEED MORE RN’ or ‘can you post more pics like these… i love the style of these pics’ others tagged their friends, begging them to look how great their bias looks. then, more offers to purchase came through.
One day at work, you coworker was talking to themself “i mean, these are really good,” they said, scrolling through the growing number of comments. “i bet people would pay for these. like, seriously.”
they were right. what had started as a casual favor to a coworker had quickly turned into something much bigger. the more your coworker engaged with the comments and shared the photos, the more requests started to come in - both from fans and even other photographers who wanted to know how you’d managed to capture such a raw, intimate vibe with the idol.
your coworker, now buzzing with new ideas, suggested something that would change the way you thought about your photography moving forward: “what if you could do this more often? go to events, take these candid shots, and sell them to fans? it’s like, exclusive content. i know so many people who would eat it up.” it was a wild idea, but as they continued to scroll through the endless stream of enthusiastic comments, you couldn’t deny it - there was something there. something more than just a one-time gig, and secretly you looked forward to going to another event to take photos. seeing the idols was breathtaking. at the time you had been so caught up in your camera you forgot where you were, who you were actually seeing. you could feel the happiness growing in your chest as you thought about that day.
that moment, when your photos started to go viral, you realized just how much potential there was in capturing these raw, behind-the-scenes glimpses of idol life, it wasnt that you wanted to stalk them home or anything, but being able to capture their raw emotions at events, the real them, excited you beyond belief. it wasn’t about posing for the camera, it wasn’t about perfection - it was about getting a fleeting, authentic moment and making it available to the people who longed for it. you had even longed for it yourself, and sharing it with others was such a great feeling.
the more you thought about it, the clearer it became, why not take this momentum and build something on your own? you didn’t need a fancy studio or a corporate client to make a living as a photographer. the fans had spoken loud and clear; they wanted real, behind-the-scenes moments, glimpses of their favorite idols captured in an authentic way. So, you decided to seize that demand, and to evolve your approach.
the first step was creating an online platform - a website, a social media page where you could post and sell your photos directly. it was a relatively simple concept, but it gave you control over your work. no middlemen, no agencies, no waiting around for a call back. just you, your camera, and the people who appreciated what you were capturing. the platform would allow fans to request specific photos they wanted, and you could price them fairly based on the level of access and the quality of the shot.
you didn’t have to reinvent the wheel, there were plenty of online photography stores, but what made yours different was the personal, exclusive nature of the photos. the idea was to capture the moments that no one else was - candid shots, spontaneous interactions, and moments that felt intimate or unguarded. tt wasn’t about just selling any photo; it was about selling the photo, the one that told a story or showed a side of the idols their fans had never seen before.
the next step was gaining access to more events. you’d have to be creative, find ways into concerts, premieres, fan meet, maybe even award shows, or private parties where idols were likely to show up. this meant networking, finding connections, and sometimes even pulling a few favors, but you learned quickly that where there’s a will, there’s a way. whether it was through your coworkers, friends of friends, or even just by paying attention to social media and learning about events before they happened, you became skilled at getting your foot in the door.
once you were in, it was all about capturing those moments. you’d snap a few candid shots, focusing on moments where the idol was relaxed, in a natural environment. you’d also make sure to get a couple of highly polished, high-quality images to use as teasers. it was all about creating anticipation. you’d post a few shots on social media, teasing the full set of photos, and maybe even share a quick, behind-the-scenes video or an outtake to drum up interest. the goal was to make the fans feel like they were getting an inside look into the world of their favorite idol, something they couldn’t get anywhere else.
the best part? the fans responded just as they had before, eager, excited, and hungry for more. the teaser posts on social media would ignite the excitement, with fans commenting, sharing, and tagging others. requests would pour in, ‘he looks so hot here, i want moree’ or ‘i need the entire set or i might just break down’ the beauty of this model was that it wasn’t about a few one-off sales—it was about building a relationship with a community. as you gained more followers and more fans, it became a cycle. you would post teasers, people would request more, and you could offer them full, high-quality images for a fair price.
as time passed, your online platform began to grow. word of mouth spread, and more fans began reaching out. you found yourself getting access to bigger events, seeing familiar names pop up in your inbox, and even having idols or their teams inquire about using some of your shots for their own promotional purposes. each new photo was a stepping stone, each set you posted was not just a transaction, but an opportunity to connect with your audience and further build your brand.
being an idol fan yourself, this entire experience felt like a dream come true. you had spent so many years admiring these idols from afar, watching them shine in the spotlight, and now you were not only in the same rooms as them but capturing intimate moments of their lives through your lens. after being broke and not having any time to keep up with them, to being so close to them and actively in their world was incredible. the fact that you were interacting with the people you once looked up to - and even more incredibly, that they were appreciating your work - was surreal. it wasn’t just about taking photos anymore; it was about sharing the same energy, the same excitement, and being able to offer something special to other fans who shared that same passion. you were no longer just a passive admirer, you were now creating something that allowed others to connect with the idols you loved so much.
as your platform grew in visibility, so did your reputation. word spread quickly, and what started as a small side hustle became something much bigger. you became a recognized name in the idol photography world, known for your unique, authentic approach to capturing moments that no one else was able to.
one of the benefits of your approach to this whole new life was the anonymity it afforded you. no one knew your face, and that made all the difference. you could attend high-profile events, interact with the idols, and enjoy the atmosphere without the pressure of being recognized or approached. you were able to experience these moments as both a fan and a professional, without the hassle of the typical fan interaction. there was no need for the autograph hunts or trying to get the perfect selfie; instead, you had the freedom to enjoy the event, capture meaningful moments, and leave without the distraction of unwanted attention. it was the ideal solution - living the dream of being close to the stars, but still having the privacy and space to appreciate it on your own terms. it felt like the perfect balance between work and passion, what you had always dreamed of.

it was supposed to be a normal event, just a fan meet, nothing too fancy, nothing too extravagant. you’d been to these kinds of things before, but this time you had put a little more effort into your outfit. you reached into the back of your closet and pulled out a blouse that felt just right, simple but elegant. you paired it with a cute black pleated mini skirt that gave off just the right vibe, mature, yet playful and cool. you accessorized it with a delicate necklace and some minimalistic earrings, thinking you looked polished without being overdone. you felt good about it, maybe even a little proud. this was your chance to blend in with the crowd but still stand out, to look like you knew what you were doing, like you belonged here.
but, of course, it was just your luck that, within the first five minutes of arriving, disaster struck. you hadn’t even made it past the entrance when you bumped into someone - just a girl in a hurry, not really paying attention. in the blink of an eye, her coffee went flying, splashing all over your pristine white blouse. your stomach dropped. of course, the one thing you had worked so hard to get right - your outfit - was ruined. the girl immediately started apologizing, her face flushed with embarrassment, but you waved it off, trying to brush it off as no big deal. "it’s fine, really," you assured her, even though your mind was racing. you just needed to get to a bathroom, quickly, before the stain set in and ruined your entire day.
you made your way toward the restrooms, hoping to fix things up. but, as luck would have it, the first two bathrooms you found were packed with girls, all standing in front of the mirrors, touching up their makeup, chatting, or taking selfies. there was no space for you to even get close to a sink, let alone grab some paper towels and start trying to clean up the mess. the minutes ticked by, frustration mounting as you realized that every second you spent standing around, the stain was likely becoming more permanent. finally, when you thought things couldn’t get worse, you spotted an empty bathroom at the end of the hallway - an oasis in your streak of bad luck. no one was around, the door was open, and you rushed toward it with relief, thinking you might still salvage your blouse.
in your rush to get inside and fix things, you completely missed the sign posted outside the door. a simple, overlooked word, mens. you didn’t even register it before you burst into the bathroom. you grabbed a handful of paper towels, dampened them with water, and began dabbing at the stain with the urgency of someone trying to undo a mistake. it was already too late - the coffee had soaked in, and now you could only hope to minimize the damage. You could feel your heart pounding, trying to keep calm as you worked, praying that no one would walk in and catch you in the middle of your panic.
a toilet flushed behind you, its sound startlingly loud in the otherwise quiet bathroom. you were so absorbed in your task, desperately rubbing at the coffee stain with a damp paper towel, that you didn’t even register the sound at first. your focus was on nothing but trying to salvage your blouse, one dab at a time. the stain seemed to mock your efforts, refusing to lift. you were lost in the rhythm of it - dabbing, dabbing, dabbing - when suddenly, the sound of footsteps broke your concentration. a man’s shoes tapped lightly against the tile floor, and before you could react, he was standing next to you, casually washing his hands at the sink.
it wasn’t until he looked up at the mirror that you noticed him. his eyes locked onto your reflection, and a squeak - more of a startled gasp - escaped his mouth. the noise was enough to make your heart skip a beat, and without thinking, you whipped your head around to see what had caused the reaction. the instant you turned, your eyes locked with his, and your stomach dropped, and you realized, you’re in the wrong bathroom. your pulse spiked as your mind raced, the embarrassing realization dawning on you at the worst possible moment.
for a brief, breathless second, there was complete silence between the two of you. your eyes widened, and before you could stop yourself, you let out a shriek of your own - a high-pitched gasp of shock and embarrassment that echoed off the walls. the man froze, hands still hovering over the sink, clearly just as surprised as you were. the realization that you had just walked into a men’s bathroom, had been standing right next to him, not even noticing until now, it hit you all at once. your face drained of color, and a flush of mortification spread across your skin, from your neck to the tips of your ears. you wanted to sink through the floor, to disappear entirely, but all you could do was stand there, paralyzed in the awkwardness of the moment.
the man, equally stunned, stared at you for a long, excruciating beat, before his face turned a shade of red that could rival yours. every fiber of your being screamed to just run out of the bathroom, but you were frozen in place, desperately trying to act like you weren’t a complete disaster. you slowly took a step back, hoping to salvage what was left of your dignity - and maybe just run away before you could cause any more damage.
"i-i’m sorry," you stammer out, your voice faltering as your face burns with embarrassment. "i was in such a hurry i didn’t realize..."
"it’s okay," he replies, still blushing as he glances down at your blouse, his eyes briefly lingering on the stain. "you, uh... look like you’re dealing with quite the mess there."
"yeah... today is just a disaster," you admit with a sigh, your frustration evident in your tone.
he gives you a sympathetic look, then hesitates for a second, as though considering the best way to help. "it probably won’t come out with just water at this point," he observes, his voice trailing off as if he’s thinking through the best solution. without warning, he unzips his hoodie and pulls it off, handing it to you with a slight, sheepish smile. "here, use this. it should cover up the stain," he says, his eyes crinkling into cute little crescents as he smiles at you.
you blink in surprise for a moment, caught off guard by his kindness. "thanks," you reply, your voice soft, and you quickly slip the hoodie on, zipping it up. it’s a little big on you, but it feels warm and comforting, and you can’t help but return his smile, feeling a small spark of connection in the midst of your awkward situation.
"hey," he says, his voice hesitating for a moment, like he’s unsure of how to proceed. "i know this is kind of random, but… could i get your number? or, like, your instagram or something?" he looks sheepish, clearly embarrassed about asking, and you can’t help but find his shyness endearing.
you smile, feeling the awkwardness melt a little. "sure," you say, your heart beating just a little faster. he passes you his phone, opening a new contact, and you quickly type in your name and number. your fingers move quickly, but it feels like time slows down as you finish and hand the phone back to him.
"so, your name’s y/n?" he says, his eyes bright as he glances at the screen. "it’s pretty." he smiles again, and you feel your cheeks heat up at the compliment.
"thanks," you reply, feeling a little giddy despite yourself. "well, anyway, it was fun meeting you." you let out a small laugh, trying to diffuse some of the lingering awkwardness between you two. "i’d better get going so i don’t miss the start," you add, raising your camera to gesture to the event outside. "i’ve got photos i need to take, and fans i have to feed."
he chuckles, nodding in agreement. "yeah, fans have been pretty starving for photos lately."
you hesitate for a moment, unsure whether to leave or say something else. you stand there, awkwardly shifting from foot to foot, but decide to settle on something that feels right in the moment. slowly, you back toward the door, giving him an awkward wave and a smile. "text me," you say, the words leaving your mouth before you can overthink it.
he grins, his eyes still crinkling with amusement as you turn to leave. "i will."
as soon as the door closes behind you, you collapse against the nearest wall, your heart nearly pounding out of your chest. the rush of adrenaline, combined with the sheer mortification of walking into the wrong bathroom, has your pulse racing, but now there's something else, too. the encounter - the way he smiled at you, how effortlessly kind he was, the way your conversation flowed once the awkwardness wore off—it’s all a whirlwind in your mind. and then, there’s the fact that you’d just met the cutest guy you’ve seen in forever, and he’d asked for your number. your face feels like it's on fire, but there’s a grin spreading across your face anyway.
you squint up at the ceiling and slowly squat down into a little ball, clutching the wall for support as your heart continues to beat like a drum. the hoodie he’d given you smells faintly like him - fresh, with a hint of something sweet and comforting - and you close your eyes, inhaling deeply, trying to savor the feeling. the moment feels so surreal, so unreal, but you can’t help but feel like it’s the start of something unexpected.
for a moment, you allow yourself to daydream, imagining the possibilities. your heart is still racing, and it feels like it might actually burst from the excitement. you can hardly believe it - what are the odds? a mistake, a coffee stain, and suddenly you're having this perfect, bizarre, heart-thumping interaction with someone who, in any other situation, you might have never crossed paths with. if this keeps up, you might literally die from a heart attack - your heart can’t seem to slow down, and you can’t stop grinning like an idiot.

sunoo collapses against the sink, heart pounding in his chest, face flushed from the unexpected encounter. at first, when he saw her - y/n - he had just assumed she was some overzealous fan trying to snap pictures of him in the bathroom, which, crazy as it sounded, had happened before. it was a wild situation to even think about, but it wasn’t totally unheard of. the thought that she might be after some candid shot of him in a vulnerable moment made his skin crawl. but then he had noticed something that completely threw him off: she wasn’t even looking at him. instead, she was fixated on something else—the stain on her shirt. there was no glimmer of recognition in her eyes, no sign that she had any clue who he was. the realization hit him in an instant—she wasn’t here for him at all.
the more he watched her, the more he saw her quietly trying to clean up the mess, the more he found himself charmed by her. when she realized she’d walked into the wrong bathroom, it was so obvious how mortified she was. her face turned the brightest shade of red, and she stammered out an apology, looking like she might just melt into the floor. it was almost adorable. instead of being embarrassed for himself, he couldn’t help but find her genuine discomfort endearing. and on top of that, the way she casually interacted with him - it was like she had no idea who he was. no fandom craziness, no over-the-top fan-girling. just... a normal conversation between two strangers. it was refreshing in a way he hadn’t expected.
on a sudden impulse, he’d asked for her number. it felt like the most natural thing in the world. how could he not? a stunning, confident girl who was totally his type had just wandered into his life by accident. dating someone while being an idol was looked down upon, but as long as he hid it well it would be fine, it wasn’t even like he was the first in the group to get a girlfriend. heeseung had had a girlfriend before, and the members had all been through their fair share of relationships. still, the thought of a girl not knowing who he was felt almost unreal. he hoped she wouldn’t find out and suddenly treat him like a celebrity, though. it would definitely complicate things.he hoped when she learned that he was part of enhypen, the group she was supposed to be taking photos for, things wouldn't get weird. he hoped she wouldn’t suddenly act awkward or distant. he just wanted to be seen as... well, just him, the real sunoo, and despite his usual confidence about his appearance, he found himself hoping she would find him attractive, something he had never worried about before.
he sighed, running a hand through his hair, and stared at his reflection in the mirror. things had been going so well, but now the uncertainty was creeping in. would she text him back? would she even remember him the way he remembered her? maybe he was overthinking it. he was always so fixated on how he looked, how others saw him. but with her, it felt different. like it wasn't just about appearance, but about a genuine connection. the last thing he wanted was for that to get ruined by the whole idol thing. the thought of her walking away, thinking he was just another fan-chasing idol, made his stomach churn. but all he could do now was wait and hope.

on your way to the main event, you spot a merch table tucked off to the side. surprisingly, the line is practically nonexistent—something that’s unheard of at events like this. on impulse, you decide to hop in the short line, intrigued by the merchandise on display. as you glance over the items, your eyes land on a pretty album titled simply ‘romance untold’. it looks cute, with soft, pastel-colored artwork and a sweet, romantic vibe. even though you have no idea what the idols look like yet, you feel a tug of curiosity. there’s something about the way the album is presented that draws you in. you’re sure you’ll fall in love with the group once you see them today, and it’ll be the perfect thing to flip through when you get home, a little memento of the day.
after making the quick purchase, you make your way into the main event space. you find a spot near the edge of the room, a nice angle where you can get some great shots of the idols. the excitement in the air is palpable, and the sea of eager fans around you buzzes with anticipation. you try to ignore the faint sense of discomfort as the crowd surges forward, pushing their way closer to the front. it’s always like this at big events - everyone wanting to be as close as possible, desperate for that connection with the stars they adore. you can’t help but feel a little bad for the boys, though. constantly surrounded by this intensity, always being viewed as more of a commodity than as people. of course, you know there are fans who genuinely care about their personalities, who want to see the candid moments behind the performance. but it’s hard to ignore the way others only see them for their fame. it must be exhausting, being unable to have a real, personal connection when you’re constantly on display.
the event officially kicks off when the boys walk on stage, and the crowd erupts in deafening screams, fans shrieking in excitement. you raise your camera instinctively, ready to catch the perfect shot. but as the boys make their way across the stage, your eyes widen in disbelief. standing right there, just a few feet in front of you, is the cute boy you met in the bathroom earlier. it’s him. the same boy, the one who had helped you with your coffee stain and awkwardly asked for your number. he’s up on stage now, dressed in a sleek stage outfit, his smile shining as the crowd goes wild for him. you freeze, your heart thumping as you realize the person you’d spoken to in such an unexpected, ordinary setting was a part of this incredibly popular group, standing in front of thousands of adoring fans.
your fingers hover over the camera, caught between snapping a picture of him on stage and trying to process the surreal realization. he's an idol. you can't help but feel a mix of emotions, shock, excitement, and maybe even a little disbelief. everything from the moment you met him in the bathroom suddenly feels like it was all leading to this. and now, as you watch him interact with the crowd, you can’t help but wonder if he remembers you - or if your interaction was just one fleeting moment, lost in the sea of faces he meets every day. either way, you can't deny it - seeing him up there, doing what he loves, surrounded by the energy of his fans, makes him all the more captivating.

You get home to your small studio apartment that night with a jumble of feelings in your stomach, you really aren't sure how to feel about this whole situation. you can’t help but smile, remembering how he’d been so cute, but also completely sweet, offering you his hoodie as you stammered through an apology. for those few minutes, he was just a friendly, kind stranger who made you feel like a bit of a mess.
seeing him later on stage was like looking at an entirely different person. the easygoing, endearing guy you’d met in the bathroom had somehow transformed into a star everyone had come to see. the cheers, the eyes on him… it was like watching two different versions of the same person, both mesmerizing but worlds apart.
you wander to the tiny kitchen and pour yourself a glass of water, glancing at your camera where all those shots are stored - photos of the day, of him, some of his group mates too, but while at the event your camera couldn't help drifting to take more shots of him. you’ve always had an eye for capturing people in the in-between, those glimpses when they forget about the camera and just are, having those photos of him felt intimate and you almost didn't want to share them.
you settle into an armchair by the window, watching the glow of the city outside. tomorrow, the photos will be waiting, and maybe when you look, you’ll find the boy from the bathroom shining through the idol on stage. for now, you close your eyes, feeling his kindness settle like a secret between you both.
✩₊°.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
a notification on your phone startles you awake, and you realize you’d fallen asleep in your armchair while trying to detangle the events of the day. the screen casts a faint glow in the dim room, and you blink a few times, getting your bearings. ten pm. not too late, but late enough that you’d be dragging tomorrow. you pick up your phone and open the notification—a text from an unknown number. your heart skips, then flutters just a bit.
unknown: hey, it's late but i wanted to text you. i hope i didn’t freak you out too much when you saw me on stage today, and i’m sorry i didn’t say anything… it was just so nice meeting you without all the screaming, you know?
a smile spreads across your face as you read it. the way he texted was just like how he talked - a bit of a ramble, slightly scattered, but somehow so sweet. he was trying to explain himself, worried he might’ve left you confused, even a little hurt. but underneath the words was that same earnest charm you’d seen in his eyes back in the bathroom, that natural warmth he’d shown before you’d known who he really was.
you type back, fingers moving faster than your sleepy brain can keep up.
you: well, it was definitely a shock, but once i got over it, i think i actually managed to get some good photos haha
a pause, and then you bite your lip, feeling that tug of nervous excitement. he’d reached out - he hadn’t had to, but he did. part of you wants to say something clever, something that hints at how surreal the whole day has felt, but instead, you decide to let the moment be simple.
his next reply comes almost instantly.
unknown: can i see them sometime? the photos, i mean. it’d be fun to see your side of the day :)
another rush of warmth fills your chest. he wants to see your work. you quickly save his number, tapping in a name that feels right, even if it’s a little embarrassing: my cutie. maybe it’s cheesy, maybe even cringe, but it fits him somehow - the endearing guy behind the idol.
before you can think twice, you hit send.
you: absolutely! i’ll go easy on you and choose only the coolest shots… mostly.
my cutie: so merciful 😌
you laugh, covering your mouth as if he could hear you from miles away. the way he teased you, with that same lightheartedness, made it easy to forget who he was. at this moment, he wasn’t an idol, a star, or even the guy in your photos. he was just someone who’d crossed your path in the most unexpected way.
you lean back, watching the messages pop up one by one, each more endearing than the last. it’s not long before the clock creeps past midnight, and you’re still talking—about everything and nothing. he tells you about the foods he misses from home, you tell him about the weirdest photoshoots you’ve done. eventually, his last text appears on the screen, the letters a bit more spaced out as though he’s getting sleepy too.
my cutie: hey, don’t think too much about today, alright? i liked meeting you… just you. i hope you can think of me like that, not all this other stuff. sleep well, my photographer :)
you stare at the screen, reading the words over and over, your eyes catching on the last two words, my photographer. Maybe you were reading into it, but your heart raced and a blush creeped up your face
you: sweet dreams..

you woke up the next morning with a dull headache, the kind that reminded you you’d stayed up way too late. the soft morning light filtering through your curtains did little to ease the fog in your mind as you sat up and rubbed your temples. you really shouldn’t have stayed up so late. the night had been a blur of messages and thoughts, and now, in the quiet of the morning, it all felt almost surreal. your mind couldn’t help but wander back to the previous night, replaying the texts and wondering if it was all real.
you grabbed your phone off the nightstand and unlocked it, scrolling through your messages. sure enough, there it was - your conversation with him, still fresh on the screen. your heart skipped a beat as your eyes scanned his words, and a flutter of giddiness spread through your chest. it was a feeling you hadn’t experienced in a long time, something light and warm that made you smile to yourself like you were holding onto a secret.
you stretched and groaned softly, trying to shake off the lingering haze of sleep, but the thought of him made it hard to focus on anything else. after a few more minutes of half-hearted attempts to wake up, you started getting ready for the event you had scheduled today. normally, you'd feel excited to be at another idol meet, camera in hand, ready to catch those perfect moments. but today, something was different. you were a lot less excited about meeting the idols after meeting him. sunoo, with his sweet messages and even sweeter personality, had somehow made the whole idol experience feel less… important. how could you focus on anyone else when he was already occupying so much of your thoughts?
still, you pulled yourself together, slipping into your outfit and grabbing your gear. you left the house and made your way to the venue, your usual excitement returning as you walked through the crowds of fans, eager to capture the perfect moments for fans. you focused on your work as best you could, snapping photos with precision, but a part of your mind was always wandering back to the messages with him. your fingers hovered over your camera, your heart racing every time you thought of the next time you’d get to talk to him again.
the day passed in a blur, each hour slipping by faster than the last. by the time you got home, you could barely keep your eyes open, but there was something more pressing than rest now, you needed to go through the photos. you decided to post a few teaser shots on your instagram, and checking your website to see if there were any new purchases. it was something you did every day, a small ritual, but today it felt like the least important thing on your mind.
after a quick check of your sales, you set your phone down and settled onto the couch for a while. your excitement for the evening overtaking the exhaustion from the day, you picked up your phone again, your fingers itching to text him, to pick up where you left off. you couldn’t help but feel hopeful about the possibility of talking to him for hours, the way he made you laugh and made you feel seen - even if it was all still so new.
you jumped as the phone in your hand vibrated, the sudden buzz breaking the silence of the room. you glanced down, a smile tugging at your lips when you saw the name on the screen.
my cutie: hey, you free?
your heart fluttered. it was funny, you’d been just about to send him a message yourself, and now here he was, texting you first. you couldn't help but feel a little giddy at the thought.
you: yeah, what's up?
there was a short pause before his reply came through. you could almost imagine him typing, fingers hesitating over the keys, like he was still unsure.
my cutie: well, nothing really, just wanted to talk to you again…
your heart skipped a beat at his words. it was so simple, but the way he said it made you feel… special. he wanted to talk to you again. you smiled to yourself, feeling that warmth bubble up inside.
you: that's fine with me haha, so how was your day?
there was a brief pause before he replied, and when his message came through, it felt so… gentle. his words were easy, like you were two old friends catching up after a long day.
my cutie: pretty good, actually. spent most of the day rehearsing, but it wasn’t too bad. honestly, it was nice to have a quiet day after all the craziness, and i kept thinking how nice it would be to talk to you again. so here i am. 😊
your heart skipped a beat. the way he said it was so sweet, and it made you feel like you were part of his day, something he looked forward to. you couldn’t help but smile as you typed your reply.
you: haha, glad! my day was pretty normal - took a bunch of photos, posted some stuff online… just the usual grind. but talking to you now is definitely the highlight of my day.
you paused, then added another message
you: so, what did you get up to today besides being a super idol lol
a beat passed, and you could almost hear his laugh through the phone. when his reply came, it was exactly the kind of sweet, teasing tone you’d hoped for.
my cutie: oh, you know, just being a super idol... rehearsing, eating my weight in snacks, pretending to be a professional 😅 but honestly, i was kinda looking forward to this all day.
you laughed,
you: i bet the snacks were more important than rehearsal, at least they would be for me haha
my cutie: hey, snacks are an essential part of the idol lifestyle! gotta keep the energy up, right :)
you laughed out loud, feeling completely at ease now, like you’d known him far longer than you actually had. the conversation flowed easily between the two of you, natural and comfortable, and you found yourself getting lost in the rhythm of it. everything felt so normal despite everything that made this situation anything but.
you: i’m sure the snacks were well worth it. so, do you often just, like, have an evening off where you can do nothing?
my cutie: ha, you have no idea how rare that is. but, yeah, i get the occasional evening off. Although i usually just lay on the couch, eating snacks, and watching k dramas. sometimes i just need to forget for a bit.
you: sounds pretty perfect, honestly. no better way to recharge.
there was a brief pause, and when his message came through, it was a little more thoughtful than the previous ones.
my cutie: yeah, it is. but honestly, talking to you like this is kinda the best recharge i’ve had in a while.
he quickly sent another message
my cutie: actually… i was wondering… how would you feel about meeting up sometime? we could, you know, hang out. maybe grab some food or something, just the two of us?
you blinked at the screen, your heart racing. it was such a simple invitation, yet it made your stomach flutter with excitement. He wanted to spend time with you, just the two of you. you quickly typed your reply, your fingers moving faster than you could think.
you: i’d love that. when were you thinking?
the reply came almost instantly, his message light and happy.
my cutie: how about this weekend? we can pick a spot, no pressure, just a nice, easy time together.
your heart skipped a beat at the idea of finally meeting him in person. it felt like everything was falling into place, and you couldn’t wait to share that moment with him.
you: that sounds perfect. i’m honestly so excited for it. 😊
my cutie: i’m really looking forward to it too. we can pick a spot, no pressure, just a nice, easy time together.
his words felt so relaxed and sweet, and the thought of a simple, carefree time together made your heart swell with affection.
you: can’t wait! talk soon, cutie. 😊
my cutie: talk soon! get some rest, okay? i’ll be thinking about you. 😌
You blush as you realize you called him a cutie over text. it wasn’t just a passing thought - no, you actually typed it out and sent it to him. You basically called him a cutie to his face, albeit through a screen, and now you're not sure if you're more embarrassed by the words or how quickly they slipped out.
✩₊°.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
sunoo was lying on the couch, completely sprawled out, his legs draped lazily over the armrest as he kicked his feet and grinned at his phone. he felt like a teenage girl, the way he was giddily tapping away, heart fluttering with every message from y/n. it was all so… effortless. so natural. talking to her felt like slipping into a warm blanket, and no matter how many times they texted, it never felt boring or dull. she was just so perfect in his eyes, so easy to talk to. the way she made him feel special without even trying, how her words were like little sparks of joy that lit up his day... he couldn’t help but smile at the screen, his heart swelling in his chest.
the conversations were always light, casual - never forced, always just right. but beneath the surface, sunoo felt something more. every message, every response, was like a sweet little secret they shared, even if neither of them had said it out loud yet. he was starting to realize he was way too invested, maybe even falling for her without meaning to. it was becoming obvious to him, but he still hadn’t figured out how to make her see it.
his heart skipped a beat when he thought back to last night - he’d worked up the courage to ask her to meet up this weekend. well, he hadn’t exactly called it a date - he didn’t want to scare her off - but he had definitely dropped enough hints, he felt his face heat up at the memory of how nervous he’d been.
as excited as he was, there was a wave of uncertainty. he was so down bad for her, so caught up in these feelings that he couldn’t quite control. the reality of it hit him in waves, especially when he realized just how badly he was falling for this perfect woman. he couldn’t help but feel like he was a little out of his depth.
it had been so quick, but it felt so right. every time he saw her name pop up on his phone, he couldn’t wipe the smile off his face. and the best part was, she seemed just as genuine, just as real as when they first met, she always treated him like a real person, like he wasn't a global superstar, it was nice. and yet, there was still that little doubt gnawing at him. was she feeling the same way, or was he reading too much into their conversations? it didn’t help that his group members were starting to catch on. they’d tease him relentlessly, calling him out when he’d get all starry-eyed and distracted.
sometimes, when they all gathered together, they’d look at him with knowing smirks, teasing him even more. but it wasn’t just his groupmates that were noticing. he couldn’t help it, he just stop thinking about her, couldn’t stop replaying their conversations in his head, imagining how things could unfold if they really took a step forward. it was terrifying and thrilling all at once.
and despite all that nervousness, that overwhelming feeling of uncertainty, sunoo couldn’t help but get even more excited. maybe it was reckless, maybe he should take it slow, but when it came to her, all he could think was what if… what if she felt the same way?
✩₊°.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
you woke up early on sunday, excitement buzzing in your chest. you knew today was the day. you wanted everything to be perfect - especially the way you looked. it was silly, you told yourself. you wanted him to like you for you, for the person you truly were, not just the way you looked. but still, there was that little part of you that wanted to catch his eye, make him think you were cute, maybe even a little alluring. just the thought of him noticing you in that way made your heart flutter.
you picked out a soft, fuzzy sweater that felt like a warm hug, paired it with a cute skirt and tights, something simple but put-together. it wasn’t over-the-top, just enough to feel confident, maybe even a little special. you took a few moments to do your makeup, just enough to highlight your features but not make it obvious. you wanted to look effortless, but also effortlessly cute. after a quick check in the mirror, you grabbed your bag, checked the time, and rushed out the door, heart racing with anticipation.
the coffee shop was just a short walk away, and you arrived a little earlier than you had planned. upon checking your phone, you realized you had arrived twenty minutes early. you smiled to yourself, relieved that you had plenty of time to settle in. you thought about grabbing a table to wait for him, maybe look over the menu or just check your messages, but when you walked in, your eyes immediately landed on him.
there he was, sitting at a small table by the window, already looking at you with those warm eyes, a slight blush creeping up on his cheeks. just like the first day you saw him, he looked effortlessly cute - his hair a little messy in that endearing way, his smile soft and inviting. he’s already here? your heart skipped a beat as your own cheeks flushed, warmth spreading across your face.
for a moment, you just stood there, taking in the sight of him, suddenly unsure of yourself. was he waiting for you? was he nervous too? but before you could think too much, your legs carried you toward the table. you smiled nervously, trying to keep your cool as you sat down across from him. you sat down across from sunoo, the nervous energy in the air palpable. there was a slight flush on his cheeks, the same adorable color you saw the first time you met him, and the way he smiled at you made your heart flutter.
“hey,” you said softly, smiling as you tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. “i’m glad you’re here.”
“me too,” sunoo replied, his voice a little breathless. he adjusted in his seat, fidgeting with his cup before looking back at you, his eyes soft. “i, uh… i hope i’m not making things awkward. i don’t really do this often, you know? go out on, um, dates…” he trailed off, clearly trying to sound casual, but you could tell he was a little nervous. it was endearing. the way his words came out, a little stilted and unsure, but with a warmth that made you feel safe.
you couldn’t help but smile, feeling your nerves settle a bit. “it’s okay,” you said gently, reaching for your drink. “i’m nervous too, honestly. but it’s nice, right? just getting to know each other in a quiet, relaxed place.”
sunoo nodded eagerly, a soft smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “yeah, i agree. i like this. it’s nice not having to worry about people... you know, staring at us, or... getting distracted.”
the way he said it, so simple, made you feel a sense of calm. the pressure was off. it was just the two of you. the conversation flowed easily after that, like old friends catching up. you talked about everything—the coffee shop, your favorite books, movies, random little things that made you laugh. time seemed to slow down, and the more you learned about him, the more you liked him.
as the conversation continued, sunoo’s nervous energy seemed to settle, and he started to relax more, his gestures becoming a little more fluid. you noticed how his hands would gesture softly when he talked about something he loved, and how his eyes sparkled when he smiled at you. there was something magnetic about him, even in the small, intimate moments.
after a while, you both finished your drinks, and sunoo suggested moving on to the second part of the day. “so, i was thinking... do you want to go to the aquarium after this? i know it’s a little cliche, but i think it could be fun.” he looked at you with those wide, hopeful eyes, waiting for your response.
you smiled, feeling a wave of warmth fill your chest. “that sounds perfect. i love aquariums. it’s kind of romantic too, don’t you think? all those beautiful fish, soft lighting... it could be peaceful.”
sunoo’s face lit up. “yeah! exactly! i thought it might be nice, too.”
you both stood and walked out of the coffee shop together, the air crisp against your skin. sunoo seemed to walk a little closer to you now, and you couldn’t help but notice how your arms brushed occasionally. you could feel the electricity in the air—those small moments of closeness that made everything feel more meaningful.
when you arrived at the aquarium, the dim lighting and soothing sounds of water immediately set the tone. it was quieter here, peaceful. the gentle sway of the sea creatures and the soft glow of the tanks made everything feel almost dreamlike. as you strolled through the exhibits, you found yourselves walking slowly, side by side. sunoo kept glancing over at you, a soft smile on his face.
“this is nice,” he said quietly, his voice almost a whisper. “i’m glad we did this. it’s just… calm. and we can just… talk, you know? no pressure.”
you nodded, your heart swelling. “yeah, i feel the same. it’s nice to be able to take it slow. no rushing.”
there was a slight pause, the quiet around you only amplified by the soft bubbling of the water in the tanks. you stopped in front of a large tank filled with glowing jellyfish, their bodies floating gracefully. the soft light made everything feel even more serene. sunoo glanced at you and then at the jellyfish, his voice barely above a whisper.
“i think i like that about you,” he said, his words a little hesitant but so genuine. “you make me feel like i can just be myself around you.”
you looked at him, surprised by the tenderness in his voice. your heart skipped a beat as you realized how much it meant to share this moment together, you responded softly, your gaze meeting his a slight smile on your lips, “i’m really glad i’m here, with you.”
sunoo’s expression softened, his eyes searching yours for a moment before his lips curled into a small, shy smile. “me too. i didn’t think it’d feel this… nice. i guess i was kind of nervous, but now…” he trailed off, taking a small step closer. “i don’t want this to end, you know?”
you could feel your breath catch at his words, and before you could stop yourself, you reached out gently, brushing your fingers against his hand. his eyes flickered down to your hand, then back to your face, a soft blush creeping up his neck. “i don’t either,” you murmured, your voice barely audible. “i like this. being with you.”
there was a moment of silence, the world around you fading into the background as you both stood there, just looking at each other. the soft glow of the aquarium illuminated his face, and for a second, you felt like you were the only two people in the world. everything felt so simple, yet so perfect.
sunoo took a deep breath, as if summoning the courage for something. “do you maybe… want to do this again sometime? i mean, not the aquarium. but… you know. like, a real date. with you.”
your heart skipped, and you couldn’t help the smile that spread across your face. “i’d like that,” you said softly, your voice filled with warmth. “i really would.”
sunoo smiled back, the shy, endearing boy you’d come to know so well, and for a moment, it felt like everything was falling perfectly into place. the date was everything you had hoped for - and more.
✩₊°.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
you left the aquarium, your mind still buzzing from the experience, but there was something else now - an undeniable tension in the air between you two. it felt different, almost electric. you couldn’t quite put your finger on it, but every time your hands brushed, it felt like something more than just a coincidence.
then, as you walked side by side down the sidewalk, sunoo’s hand gently found its way into yours. the warmth of his fingers wrapping around yours made your heart skip a beat. you didn’t even have time to process the action before a blush crept up your cheeks. looking over at him, you noticed his cheeks were flushed too, and his eyes were slightly widened, almost like he was still surprised by his own boldness. it was the sweetest thing you’d ever seen.
the two of you continued walking, your steps a little slower, savoring the moment. when you reached a quieter part of the sidewalk, you stopped and turned to face him. sunoo paused too, his eyes searching yours with a hint of curiosity.
you felt your heart race, your mouth suddenly dry. "i was wondering..." you started, unsure of how to phrase it, the words coming out more nervously than you intended. "would you want to come over and watch a movie?"
as the question left your mouth, you immediately felt heat rise in your face. it sounded so simple in your head, but now that it was out in the open, it felt much more vulnerable. “i-i’m just not sure i want today to end yet,” you mumbled, barely able to make eye contact, your blush deepening.
for a moment, the air seemed to hold its breath, and you were starting to feel like maybe you’d overstepped. but then you saw it—the way sunoo’s eyes softened, his lips curling into that familiar, shy smile you’d come to adore. he looked at you with a sense of warmth that made your heart flutter.
“honestly, i would love that,” he replied, his voice gentle, and there was something about the way he said it that made you feel like everything was falling into place.
your heart swelled with relief and excitement as you both continued holding hands, walking back to your place. the city lights around you were soft, casting a warm glow as you made your way to your apartment. it felt like the perfect end to a perfect day, and yet there was a sense of anticipation in the air, like something more was about to unfold.
once you got inside, the familiar comfort of your apartment seemed to settle around you. you slipped your shoes off and sank onto the couch, the soft cushions inviting you in. then, without really thinking about it, you moved a little closer to sunoo, leaning into him just enough to feel the warmth of his body against yours. you were suddenly aware of the way he tensed up a little, but it didn’t last long - he quickly relaxed into the position, and you could feel the slow rise and fall of his chest as he settled beside you.
you could both feel the electricity of the moment, the growing closeness that you both had been dancing around all evening. your stomach fluttered with nerves, but it felt right. it felt like you were both figuring out what this was. you grabbed the remote, trying to distract yourself a movie. you chose one of the first films that popped up on the screen—something lighthearted, you thought. but as the opening credits rolled, you suddenly realized you had made a terrible mistake. you hadn't checked the rating, and it was definitely not the kind of movie you’d intended. the film was rated R, and as the characters in the movie started to get closer, you felt the heat rise in your face again.
you tried to keep your focus on the screen, but every time the camera panned to the characters, your eyes couldn’t help but dart over to sunoo. you caught him quickly glancing away, a nervous chuckle escaping him. his whole body was a little tense, like he was trying to avoid acknowledging the fact that you were both watching an incredibly intimate scene.
the background noises from the movie only made things worse - moans and heated whispers. the tension between you two was palpable, like you could cut it with a knife. you were both blushing furiously, trying to ignore the scene unfolding, but it was impossible.
you tried to laugh, but it came out as more of a strangled cough. you grabbed the remote in a panic, fumbling with it as you quickly skipped ahead, fast-forwarding past the scene with a little too much force. but even as the steamy scene disappeared from the screen, the awkward energy lingered, and you both sat there, still feeling the weight of the moment.
for a long while, neither of you spoke. the movie played on, but it was clear that neither of you were really paying attention to it anymore. sunoo glanced over at you with a nervous smile, the soft lines of his face lit by the glow of the television screen.
you couldn’t help but lean in closer, the pull between you two too strong to ignore. you knew you probably shouldn’t, considering that whatever was going on between you was still undefined, and maybe rushing it wasn’t the smartest thing to do. but in that moment, it didn’t matter. the space between you seemed to shrink with each passing second, and you just couldn’t hold back anymore.
you glanced up at sunoo, and the warmth in his eyes made your heart flutter. there was a quiet intensity there, a longing that mirrored your own, and in that look, you found something you hadn’t expected - he wanted this too.
without thinking, you shifted, positioning yourself so you were now facing him, your body comfortably nestled in his lap. he clearly hadn’t expected the sudden move, and you could feel his breath hitch in surprise, but there was no tension, no hesitation. he relaxed almost immediately, his hands gently settling on your waist, as though he was silently saying, it’s okay, I want this too.
you paused for a moment, just taking him in. sunoo wasn’t bulky, not like other guys you had met, but he was slender and graceful, his body still holding the quiet strength of someone who took care of himself. his frame felt right against yours, and his face - so beautiful, so expressive - made your heart race. there was something about him, something that made every word feel softer and every movement feel like it meant something more.
his eyes flickered to your lips and back up to your eyes, a silent invitation, and without even thinking, you leaned in slightly. in a moment of shared understanding, he closed the distance between you two, his lips meeting yours in a kiss that was gentle. his lips were soft and warm, the touch sweet. everything about the kiss was tender, but you could feel the undercurrent of desire in it. it was like he was pouring everything into that moment - the way he pulled you closer, his hands now gently resting on the curve of your back, holding you to him as if you might slip away. it was a sweet, almost perfect kiss, just like him - full of emotion, but soft, full of warmth and affection, like he was telling you everything he couldn't quite say with words. you broke the kiss, your faces still inches apart, both of you breathing a little faster, hearts racing. the air between you was thick with unspoken words, but there was an understanding. whatever this was between you - however undefined or new - it was real.
he broke the silence with a simple sentence “i don't want to go on anymore dates that might not be dates,” he said with a laugh, “i really want to go out with you for real, i’m in love with you.”
you smile, your heart still racing, “me too, i'm in love with you too.”

Death and Time
“Why don’t you want me?”
Why don’t you want me.
Hey, Agatha, why don’t you want me?!
Before Agatha, there is nothing for Rio to lose. She is loss, the final end of all things. Nothing can be taken from her. All things die and so all things are hers. Until Agatha, and then, for the first time, she understands loss from an outsider’s perspective.
“And when I do die, a long, long, long, long, long time from now, I don’t want to see your face.”
Sure, she can do that. It’s not like she appears personally for everyone, though she could. Some people find their way past the veil without a guide. Some are ready for it. She picks the one who aren’t, those who feel their time has come too early, the ones who want someone to complain to or a long-suffering shoulder to cry on. She does her best to talk them around, but ultimately, one way or another, they’re coming with her.
Agatha will probably hurl herself past the veil and immediately start causing problems on the other side. She will never go gently into that good night. She’ll find the rules and then she’ll try to break them, arrogant creature that she is.
Rio misses her every day.
Or however long. She has trouble with Time. Not her domain. A day is a week is a month is a year; it all blends together.
Until she gives some to Agatha. Then she watches, unseen, and sees the hourglass tick down, grain by grain, until the inevitable end.
Which is, of course, her.
All she knows is that it has been too long. They did battle across continents until Agatha hid from her with dark magic and that hurt worst of all, the long stretch where she can’t even find the woman she loves. She doesn’t know how long it was. It felt like an eternity. It wasn’t.
When they were together, Agatha handled Time, mostly by being annoyed at it. Nothing has ever moved fast enough for Agatha. Rio doesn’t understand—there is only one thing to hurry towards.
And now that she’s arrived, Agatha doesn’t seem too happy to be here.
Too bad. This time she’s coming with Rio. It’s been too long (how long?). Death wants her favorite girl.
Only, Agatha is kissing her. Properly, even hungrily, and all she can do is let it happen.
How long has it been since Agatha kissed her?
Agatha’s mouth is so warm, exactly as she remembers, and Rio’s anger abates almost instantly, transmutes into something far more tender and adoring.
Agatha is so good at kissing her that it takes her some time to realize she has been cheated out of her prize.
She stands next to the grave. Agatha stands—floats—next to her.
“So,” she says. “I was thinking. Maybe we should let bygones be bygones. You know, dying really has a way of changing your perspective.”
If only. Rio knows her too well. “What do you want, Agatha?”
Agatha’s ghostly lips shape themselves into a cruel smile as she abandons the pretense that she isn’t doing what she always does, manipulating Rio’s fondness for her own gain. “Information. How does all this—“ here, a motion to her ghostly form, a bit of a twirl. “Work?”
Rio snorts. “How would I know? Ghosts aren’t mine. They deliberately defy the natural order.”
“Oh. Well, then. Ta, darling,” Agatha says, starting to fade.
”Actually, there is one thing I do know about ghosts,” Rio says, contemplating the grave.
“Oh?”
“In the end, they always come to me.”
Agatha considers that, then leans over and taps her on the nose, a whisper of something spectral against her skin that Rio has to work not to flinch back from, she’s really not the biggest fan of ghosts.
“Not the worst fate in the world. But I’m not done yet,” Agatha says with a wink and disappears.
Rio stands frozen for some unknowable duration, then shakes her head with a small smile. Agatha never fails to surprise her.
Fine, then. She’ll wait as long as she needs to—Time means nothing to the end of all things. Eventually, everything is hers.
And now she’s got something new. Hope—also not her domain—that by the time Agatha comes to her, her beloved will finally be ready to admit how much she wants Death.
For something cute, try the wedding
for something angstier, try jealousy

can i request the 3rd dialogue in modern au with poly law and kidd??? gn or fem reader is fineeee. i would like for it to be crack-ish where it's really just idiots to lovers, kiddlaw/law x reader/kidd x reader can be established since i want one of the three to be in absolute yearning hence the idiots to lovers bc the yearning character is constantly mistaking the advances of the established two towards them. like i want the yearning character to be equal parts annoyed, endeared, and angsting over the established two. you can make it a bit angsty but happy ending is the endgame hehehe.
KIDD & LAW; soulmate
*pls ignore the wrong ask i uploaded the other day 😭 there were so many asks i got confused (this was before the ask i mistakenly uploaded so mbmb)
🌷matchadobo's 500 followers event🌷
dialogue: "are you plannin' on confessin' or do we need to sweep you off your feet to make it happen?"
wc: 4345
warning/s: very sfw, fluff!, drinking, poly!law!kidd!fem reader, established kidd x reader (bf/gf), soulmate au where you hear bells whenever you touch your soulmate unless a confession happens, i think this is very geared towards law tho 💉
trafalgar law has a crush on you. and it's not just silly little crushes he used to have when he was a child, it was an embarrassingly huge crush. the one that he'd feel warm and fuzzy even for the slightest things.
like right now when you're so close to falling asleep on his shoulder during lecture. you guys just finished a long quiz and lost all fucks to give so your body is giving up completely.
not law though, he was perfectly awake. the rapid beating of his heart was keeping him on his feet as he felt your head precariously land on his shoulder, your forearm brushing by his tatted ones. he tried his best to keep still whilst taking notes and actively listening to class.
what felt like hours turned into seconds because the professor dismissed you all. the shuffling of the seats as your blockmates stood up woke you up.
"shit, how long was i out?" you ran your fingers through your hair as law busied himself with packing up his stuff, all the while trying to hide his blush.
"beats me." he aloofly replied, because if he said more he'd just embarrass himself with nonsense.
you two made your way out the room and eventually out the building, only to find your boyfriend waiting out with his motorbike. he had his helmet on but you knew it was him, from the gaudy color of red of his vehicle and helmet. you smiled at him, all your exhaustion vanished as he welcomed you with a hug.
"baby, you finished class early?" you mumbled on his shoulder, speech muffled from your embrace.
"mhm, thinkin' we'd stop by a diner. and since it's a little early, do a little bit of billiards and drink some booze. how does that sound?" his hands crept up your waist, embracing you tighter as you looked up at him and he reveled on how you look.
"heaven." you smiled. "but we've got some stuff to do, exams are coming up and... law and i..."
"right, of course." he sighed. "do we fit in this bike on ride home or?" kidd gestured to law, looking around as if gauging the impossibility if the three of them would fit.
"i'll take the bus. don't worry." law smiled at him wryly, "i'll get going, traffic's a pain." you waved him goodbye.
"man that guy's so hard to talk to. 's like he always got a stick up his ass. how're you friends with him?" he fetched you your helmet and made space for you behind him.
"oh shut up, it grows on you really. he's a nice guy. just acts like a jackass sometimes. kinda like you." kidd gave you a grumble after that.
law had been in your dorm more than the amount of times you can count. he's your friend and you always study and do some work with him, just like now. he's smart as hell and you two are pretty close. to him, he finds you the least insufferable out of all the people in your university.
"i'll just piss." law excused himself, heading to the bathroom. only to find kidd using the toilet too. his shirt was off, but his back was facing law because of how the toilet was positioned.
"oh fuck, sorry." law turned around.
kidd snickered, finishing up as he pulled his sweatpants up. he headed to the sink to the side, looking at law by the mirror who still had his back turned.
"it's alright, torao. no biggie walkin' in."
law finally turned around, meeting eyes with kidd who was now facing him with crossed arms. as if waiting for law to do something.
"should've locked the door."
"my bad, then." kidd stood upright, walking by the doorway where law was leaning on the side. "i'll keep it in mind next time."
at that moment where kidd and law bumped shoulders on kidd's way out, law heard the same bell he's been hearing whenever you and him touch. kidd thought it was just him imagining it but before he could confront law about it, law had already shut the door and locked it out of sheer panic.
law first heard the bells with you when you accidentally hugged him during an icebreaker at class, you two got paired up that time. you two were the only ones who got a correct answer so your excitement took over you. that was also the time law started having a crush on you. he just didn't act on it because you had kidd already.
this soulmate thing was so stupid and bothersome to law. especially when his "soulmate" is off with someone else. he was starting to think that it was only him hearing the bells. because see, you hear bells when you touch with your soulmate. the ringing stops when you both confess and get together. pretty fucking dumb if your soulmate already heard hers with someone else.
but law shook it off his head, he washed his face and took a deep breath. he relieved himself and prayed kidd wasn't waiting outside. he soon saw the redhead chilling by their couch, booting up a video game. law was relieved and headed back to their dining table to continue some work for the two of you.
unbeknowst to the black haired, kidd was eyeing him the entire time. not out of negative intent or some sort, he was amused and interested. he definitely heard that bell. he and law never really had interactions, much less touch each other. so when he did earlier, it was no mistake.
evening came and law went home, leaving you and kidd to your company. you whipped up some dinner and ate with kidd by the couch as he got some movie playing for you two.
"babe."
"yeah?"
"i heard bells with torao earlier."
your food got caught in your throat kidd had to physically tap your back, tears were coming out of your eyes as the food you previously had in your mouth got all over the floor. he handed you some water after your accident died down.
"damn, you alright?" he rubbed your back, a puzzled face as he assessed how you look.
"that's- i do too, kidd! i hear bells with him too!" you wiped off your mouth with the back of your hand, holding kidd's hand in yours. "ever since the start, i kinda hugged him-"
"you hugged him?" he was quick to reply with a raise of his brow.
"yeah- hey wait, don't get jealous on me now! i got excited, we got a point because of him. only us!" you narrated the entire thing to kidd and he did the same with the bathroom encounter with law.
"that's fuckin' weird, right? i mean, we heard bells with each other, right? or is that not..." kidd scratched the back of his head, placing his plate down because the conversation was getting intense.
"we did, dumbass. of course we did, we even tested it out, right?" you giggled, remembering having sex with him without a confession. you two had to stop because it was bothering you both you two couldn't get in the mood. and that's how you two confessed, naked in kidd's bed on your tenth date. "but is it possible to have another one?"
"you said you're hearing bells with him, and i did too. no way it could be far fetched if it's the two of us, aye?" he rubbed his temples. "wonder what's he thinkin', he'd be lyin' if he says he ain't hearin' shit."
law was losing his mind. he was doomscrolling on the internet. a polyamorous relationship from the soulmate phenomenon, something to explain the dramatic rhythm of his heart that never calmed down. from the way he felt kidd's eyes lingered and gave him a fistbump by the chest when he was about to leave or how you always hit him lightly for his sarcastic jokes. his head was fucking imploding with the bells.
"i think he was hesitating cuz we're already together. b-but are you okay with it? if we three ever get together?"
"i don't exactly hate it. i found him reaaally damn amusing when you introduced him at first. that attitude he has, it pisses me off so much." he scrunched his nose, remembering how law somewhat ignored him on their first meeting. "but i know for a damn fact, if we didn't get together first. i'd have a crush on him, heavily."
"right?!" you hopped on his fanboy train, fawning over law. "he's so good looking, kidd! right?"
"you know what? i've got an idea, babe. it torao is strugglin' on keepin' it all to himself, why don't we help him out?" kidd had that knowing grin, eyes gleaming with his scheming.
"you want to go to a concert with me?" law pointed to himself, looking at kidd like he grew another head.
law passed by the university gym and stared a little too long when he saw kidd benchpressing. like a rabbit in heat, he gawked like a whore. so much so, kidd had noticed and decided to execute the first step of your guys' plan.
"us three. name wanted me to pass it on." he grinned. "heard you're a fan of the strawhats too, name and i always go to their gigs."
"that's fine."
"mm-mm. you're comin', it ain't a question." kidd crossed his arms, sweaty biceps bulging before law. since kidd was taller, law had to fight the temptation to look ten times harder.
"sorry?" law raised a brow, shifting in one foot as he got a bit irritated.
"wear your best shit, torao." kidd nudged him intetionally, playfully punching his shoulder. and there it is again, the bells. law almost felt like vomiting. not from disgust, but sheer disbelief. he hears the same with you from the start and that was cemented. but with kidd too? this is just too much for him.
"do you think he'll come?" you worriedly gaze over kidd, frantic as you held his hand from his arm around you. law was apathetic, but he's not an asshole to keep you guys hanging. atleast you'd hope he is.
"course he would. i'll drag his ass out his dorm if he didn't." kidd gave your hand a reassuring squeeze. "hah, speak of the devil."
you see law rounding a corner donning a striking, jaw-dropping, toe curling fitted long-sleeved mesh top in black, teasing slivers of his tanned skin littered with tattoos from his chest down to his arms were in full display. he paired it with his signature dotted denim pants in a lighter shade of blue. his boots made him almost taller than kidd. his hat was off and his jewelries were hanging idly. the dim ambiance outside the venue wasn't helping, law's bedroom eyes looked unimaginably deeper. he looked like sin, dripping with felony they would commit over and over with no remorse. he was fucking hot, illegally so.
"traffic kept me. it hasn't started yet, right?" law thought he had something in his face or was wearing his shirt inside out because you and kidd were just staring. it worried him but he kept a cold face. "you two look like fucking idiots. something so wrong with my face?"
you cleared your throat. "i-it hasn't- yeah, uh- we um-" but you were unintelligible. literally just opening your mouth just to keep your drool from not falling. but the silence was also suffocating you.
"you sure could fuckin' dress, torao." kidd slung an arm around law, pulling him closer. kidd had a whiff of law's cologne and fell in love instantly, even the bells ringing was dulled.
law smelled like coffee. he exudes a little burnt sugar and caramelly scent, but he still smelled strong and smelling sweet was far from what he had. it was palpable that it had a tinge of the smell of alcohol, it was inviting and warm once it entered your system. it burned a little when it settles down your throat. and kidd was so close to losing himself and pulling this man into a kiss. you fell in love everyday really, it feels like cheating.
while you were busy gawking at him, it took everything for law to not pull you to a room and take everything off with the way you donned your fit. he hated how kidd being close to him made him quite vulnerable with the feeling of kidd's frame on him, pulling him close. how his torso was pressed to his sides, fingertips squeezing his deltoids. and you pinching his cheek as you playfully invited him to go inside already. he was overstimulated at this point.
so far the concert was a blast, until it wasn't. at the climax of one of their songs, the power went out and the collective disappointment of the crowd was way louder than the string that snapped on sanji's guitar. but you, your world ultimately stopped.
the dark had always freaked you out. it makes the walls of your heart clench and suddenly you forget how to breathe. you had to hold onto anything to not lose yourself completely. you held law's hand as a reflex, you felt him stiffen up from his grip on you but he didn't let go.
"what- why are you?" he asked, you can hear his raised brow from his statement. he soon realized it from the way you cling onto him, your hand shaking in his. he sighed and patted your head. he soon fished out his phone and opened his flashlight. "there, not so scary anymore."
he sounded crass as usual, but you knew he meant well. he always does. whenever his tone seems off and not match his true intent, you know him so well to recognize that he meant it with genuinity.
kidd apparently was four people away and only found you guys from law's flashlight. he somehow got stowed and made friends with other people during one of the tracks. he knew you'd immediately have a difficulty with the blackout.
"hey, hey, it's alright, babe. we got you." kidd placed his arm around you and law as he stood behind in between the both of your frames.
"i'm fine, jackass." law mumbled. yet he didn't shake off kidd. as a matter of fact, he loved it there. but he'd never admit that really.
"hm? think ya need it too tho?" kidd's words were suggestive, or was law delusional?
kidd's hand that was initally placed on law's shoulder pulled him closer, his forearm now hanging loosely down law's chest. law just glared at him, soon keeping his head down as he took advantage of the darkness to keep his blush.
"how you feelin', love?" kidd mumbled to you earnestly, pulling your head to his chest as you shifted to hug him and let go of law's hand.
"that was so fucking scary." you let out a deep breath, feeling safe as kidd finally engulfed you in his warmth.
"thanks, law. sorry i suddenly held your hand. i get super freaked out in the pitch black darkness." you sheepishly got back to him.
that thing you did, the bells went crazy with it. but you are law's priority, so the chaos in his mind and heart was nothing. but as he looked back and with you bringing it up, he found himself melting in putty as you looked up at him with that cute little blush that makes his chest hurt.
"don't be shy about it, then." he gave your chin a playful rub, not hesitating anymore as he couldn't contain that little smile you elicit from him. "isn't like you."
even kidd felt that rush down his stomach. it's like you both felt butterflies with his response. law was always austere and inexpressive, that just now made you two all the more sure that maybe, just maybe this thing between you three is actually something.
from that point on, law got comfortable. jamming with you both, touching each other more, and finally letting loose.
"i'll pay for the food." law fished out his wallet from his bag.
"no no, i got it." kidd shook his head profusely, preparing to stand up to go to the counter.
"okay, hell no. just listen." he asserted, slapping off kidd's hand that already held his credit card. "first, you guys paid for the concert. and now, the food too? now you're just making me look like an ass." law rolled his eyes.
kidd took a long look at law then at you who was giggling and then back at law with a raised, annoyed brow. man this guy amuses him down to the depths of his fucking core. he wants him so bad. he finds the sass so damn hot.
"right. by all means." kidd raised his hands in defense. as law stood up, you volunteered to go with him. you somehow wanted more of him.
"did you had a good time, law?" you looked up at him, the alcohol slowly taking over you as you subconsciously leaned closer. there was some waiting time as the cashier processed your food bill.
"i did. thanks." he smiled a little, letting you cling on him. "and you're very drunk right now." he pushed your forehead with his forefinger, away from him as you dangerously got close.
"pffft, i'm not drunk. i just like looking at your eyes."
"yeah?" law got a little too brave, your perfume clouding his senses. even with the staff looking at two of you, he remains unbothered. which was unusual.
"and i like your hair," you reached and combed through his raven locks and law just let you, even though the bells were driving him crazy with your proximity under him. "and your tattoos." your fingers traced his tattos which were peeking from his collarbone down to his arms and roughened fingers. you can feel his goosebumps as you glide your fingers across the surface of his skin.
"ah, you got a thing for them?" he smirked, raising his brows as he shifted on one foot.
"a bit." you grinned, scratching your nails lightly on the prominent veins of his forearm.
"listen, name. i don't -"
"shh." you cut him off and were playfully squeezing on his biceps. "don't you like it too?" you looked up at him as your head rested on his shoulder, completely inducing the vibrant red in his cheeks. "kidd will be fine with it, if that's what you're worried about. trust me on it."
because really, as kidd watched you two from the table, he couldn't help but marvel in the sight of law being totally frozen when you finally touched him. he savored the sight of you two all clingy by the public, suppressing the need to just surrender it all.
and when you two came back, law tried to flush everything down his system with a bottle of whiskey. which was uncharacteristic of him because usually, he'd be level headed enough to not do dumb decisions like that. tonight was full of unusual things.
"slow down there torao, come on. if you don't stop, you're gonna end up like this baby right here." kidd had you in his arms, cocooned in his warmth. he served as your pillow because you were fast asleep from drinking too much whiskey with law.
law held his alcohol pretty good, he wasn't a lightweight but his blush was getting in there. he was a bit tipsy, a few more and he's gonna pass out. but he and kidd kinda had this competition to see if who can stay up the longest.
you grumbled when kidd gestured to you, hitting his chest a little.
"you ever heard your bells, torao?" kidd broke out, the rum loosening his restraints to ask him. law's breath cut short but he maintained his composure.
"yeah," he chugged a shot of whiskey, an arm on the headrest of the sofa as he leaned back. he met kidd's eyes through his half-lidded ones.
"ah, you got someone already?" kidd tried to act coy, his arm was around you as he reached over to your chin, tracing down your jaw to wake you up a little.
"sort of. what about it?"
"felt electric, ain't it?" he grinned, he looked down at you catching your lips to kiss you while looking at law. kidd didn't do it to make him jealous, because god forbid did law felt something else.
something tight down law's pants it made him chug the entire bottle of whiskey as he saw you two make out. "i remember when she and i felt it. got freaked out but, it was well fuckin' worth it when she and i got to confessin'."
"don't fucking care." law rolled his eyes, "get a room." he acted indifferent, but his pants says otherwise. law was starting to lose grip on himself as the bottle was slowly slipping out of his hands.
kidd caught it, drinking the rest of it while maintaining eye contact with law. "best if we get home now, aye?" law just stared at him with a hiccup, his cheeks embarrassingly red. he's so ful with the whiskey it's comical.
right about now, kidd had you slung across his shoulder while law stumbled over his own steps on your way home on kidd's side. law's dorm was too far away so he just went with you guys.
kidd let out a breath of relief as he plopped you down the bed, waking you up and letting you drink a glass of water before you fall asleep. kidd was very tipsy really, he just did his best so you guys can get home. so he lied down next to you while law just crashed down the floor next to the bed. and now you three were dead to the world.
the morning after you guys prepped him some breakfast, you slipped in a pillow under his head and gave him a blanket. placing a kiss on his forehead subtly.
"smells good, baby. might wanna gobble it all myself, hm?" kidd snaked his arms around your waist, peeking over your head at the breakfast you were whipping up.
"we're making good progress so don't spoil it!"
law awoke to the aroma and instantly shot up the floor, seeing if his clothes were still there. he got out and saw you two feeling each other up by the kitchen. you saw him in your periphery.
"good morning, law! we made you breakfast." you smiled, gesturing to the plate you made for him.
but he felt diffident that you're doing this all for him, almost feels like a burden that you're going out of your way. also, he's been third wheeling enough. "yeah, this was a goddamn mistake. i'm going home. sorry about all this."
"wait law, it's fine- don't leave-"
"no this is a mistake, okay? i shouldn't have slept here. or went to that concert and got fucking hammered."
"law! hey!- fuckin' screw it, screw the plan, name. i'm doin' it." kidd stood up and grabbed law's shirt, his rash actions making it look like he'll start a fight with law. "are you plannin' on confessin' or do we need to sweep you off your feet to make it happen?"
law glared at him through flushed cheeks, you got in between them to reduce the tension. "kidd, for fuck's sake just... let me handle it."
you held law's face in your hands, "we know you hear the bells too. i've heard it since day 1. you do too, don't you?" law's once tensed up frown softened, sighing as he placed his inked hands over yours.
"it's fucking me up, really. you two're always so loud in here." he rolled his eyes and you found it endearing, cuz you see how hard he's fighting off that smile. but he soon latched your hands off his face gently. "but i don't wanna be a pain in the ass to you guys, i can't just simply butt in."
"fuck are you on about?" kidd started, the knot between his eyebrows becoming tighter. "not even gonna give us a shot, you shitty bastard? thought you're damn smart enough to understand how soulmates work?"
law chuckled dryly. "you really do have a foul mouth, huh?"
"suppose i do when you're bein' a jackass."
there it is again, this tension between them like they're gonna start something. law flipped kidd off, middle finger held up so adamantly even if kidd was fuming.
you were afraid they're gonna start punching each other but really, if you hadn't got between them they're gonna start kissing with the way they're eyeing each other's lips.
"he's pissin' me off, babe." kidd placed his arm around you. "one confession outta him and we're all good."
"so you guys are down for a poly?" law alternated looks between the both of you.
"of course! why else we would take you out in a concert, have a dinner date after, and then cook you breakfast today?!" you frantically laid it out for him, slowly losing your mind having to explain everything.
and that's when it clicked to law, that hey, you guys weren't fucking with him. you two like him too! i guess when you explode like that, even an idiot like him would be pressured to understand.
"okay, damn." law chuckled, placing his hands on either of your shoulders. "no need to get riled up, yeah? i like the two of you, so very much. i hate doing all this love shit but the bells are freaking me the fuck out so... screw it all and let's go out together."
just like that, the ringing stopped and everyone let out a sigh of relief.
"didn't know your bastard ass is capable of romance." kidd nudged law, placing an arm around him.
"it won't be if you won't shut the fuck up."
"now i've got one other headaches other than kidd."
this was so difficult for me idk why 🥹 i hope this wasn't ooc 😭 first time writing for law huhuhu
kidd and law had better sexual tension tbh 😳🤸♀️

The way that I approach Meredith in either of her redemptive AUs (e.g. Inquisition or Veilguard), is that, after her red lyrium idol sword, Certainty, blows up in her face (and ergo seen as a rejection from the Maker after she called on Him), being exiled serves as an important purpose to helping Meredith realize she was wrong, and understanding that she went too far.
After being exiled out of Kirkwall (think a bloodier, more injured and rushed version of Cersei being walked through King's Landing), for the Inquisition verse, she ventures amidst the outbreak of the mage-templar rebellion, trying to not only heal and recover, but to survive without a direct supply of lyrium. In some ways, she'd have access to supplies here and there for the right amount of coin but as the conflict continues, it becomes harder to get. As the Inquisition forms and moves to Skyhold, and word spreads, she makes the perilous journey there (scarred up, far weaker, and gaunt looking than she once was), and begs the Inquisitor to allow her to join; she is basically a sellsword at this point looking for lyrium supply to stave off the awful effects of withdrawal, but also as a way to try and at least redeem herself and to give herself purpose again. Of course, Culllen and Varric won't be happy she's there, but if accepted, she tends to keep to herself, finding quarters in basically a storage closet, sleeping on bags of feed for the horses and keeps her head down, going where she is demanded to go. She's like a ghost in Skyhold, knowing she failed Kirkwall and failed herself. Over time, with the completion of her personal quest (retrieving personal items from the Gallows/Kirkwall), she finds a new resolve and will survive for about 7-10 years after the Inquisition is over before lyrium dementia will finally set in. (If her personal quest is not completed, she will die serving the Inquisition).
For Veilguard, the tale is spun a little differently. In those 3 years, she still spends time reflecting on herself, but as access to lyrium becomes more difficult, she becomes more desperate and instead, after slowly, horrifically going through withdrawal and looking far worse for wear, she ends up travelling west to enlist with the Wardens as a last resort to save herself from an inevitable end (by, well, choosing another inevitable end). While she has years of experience as a templar, she ends up re-training to serve on the front lines against darkspawn, and eventually, some believe her ability to successfully suppress magic can be useful against certain types of darkspawn, so they secure a supply of lyrium which reinvigorates her strength and capability. But in this time, she is also much of a loner among the Wardens. While they accept nefarious types and criminals, those who know what she did let her know as such, even if it risks having solidarity in the ranks. But in this time, of course, she spends it fighting and giving herself to another cause (all she knows how to do is to serve an institution and something greater). Only after Weisshaupt, can she surface as a possible companion for the Veilguard, should they require her services.
For both verses, though, I think the act of redemption does not necessarily mean that Meredith is suddenly a good person. She's not. But! what it does mean is that she has been removed from the social institution that shaped her personal beliefs and allowed her to oppress mages; it is hard to see the evil when you are inside of it, but once exiled from the Order and Kirkwall more broadly, and spending time alone, she comes to realize that using the idol to gain more power and control was too much, and in a way, it's almost like how mages use blood magic to achieve similar purposes, and that is the very thing she hates the most.
Ultimately, she knows what life she has left to live is an early death sentence; she saw how her adoptive father slowly faded away from lyrium-related dementia, and knows that fate will likely be hers, too. So, Meredith believes that achieving redemption for herself is not to make up for the lives she has hurt and harmed, but to serve and protect others until her dying breath; it is the least she can do because it is all she has ever known.
She still holds prejudice towards mages (and that will always be ingrained in her), but she lacks the power to do anything about their existence now. She cannot let go of her early childhood trauma and general fear of what magic can do, but she has been removed from her station and the means to persecute mages. If the Inquisitor or Rook has mages in their ranks, she accepts it without argument (but she will be avoidant or weary around them, always keeping a watchful eye, just in case).
Also, in this sense, living in exile (despite living under rather unprecedented or... interesting times), is the first time Meredith has ever lived a normal life outside of the Gallows and the Order, and the demands of the Chantry. So this also plays into her redemptive arc by allowing her to experience things she's never gotten to do before, understanding life from a vastly different perspective (even if it is during a time when the world may be ending, and for a very short time compared to her old life).
In the end, redemption for Meredith is not a full 180 degree turn around for her character, but regret weighs heavily upon her; regret for what she did, regret for failing Kirkwall, and regret for never having a life outside of it.
She is haunted by ghosts; she is haunted by herself.
#HEADCANON.#v: INQUISITION#v: VEILGUARD#[ tldr exile was good for meredith to realize She Fucked Up ]#[ she can't undo it but she can try to make up for it buy still protecting others ]#[ but her past will always follow her ]#[ and that cannot be changed ]

── .✦ awakened by a nightmare, you seek Jisung for comfort.

genre: angst/fluff, jisung x female reader, established relationship, comfort
warnings: nightmares, jisung is a green flag, lots of comfort and fluff

─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Wake up. Wake up.
A cold sweat trickles down your back as you jolt upright in bed, breath coming in gasps. What time is it? You rub your chilled arms, striving both to draw some warmth back into them and to persuade your unwilling mind to blip back into reality as the ghost of the nightmare threatens to breach the delicate wall at the back of your mind.
Your eyes, unfocused and groggy due to being prematurely yanked from your slumber, search the room for your clock. 3:30. What a ripe time to be up.
You’re safe. It wasn’t real. You’re okay. But no matter how hard you try to convince yourself, the roaring blood in your ears and the bitter taste of adrenaline in your jaw beg to differ.
Uncomfortable and sweaty, you untangle yourself from the snare of blankets and sheets and head to the kitchen. Maybe a cup of hot cocoa will bring you back to a good headspace.
Nightmares are a common reoccurrence for you. Of course, that doesn’t make it any easier when they do happen though. Every night, you settle down in fear of the horrors you might face. The horrors that only feel more real each time.
Rubbing the crust from your eyes, you squint as you emerge into the bright kitchen. You could have sworn you turned the lights off before going to bed. Maybe Jisung is up. You hope he is. It would be really great to hear his voice right now.
Mission hot cocoa abandoned, you peek into the darkened living room, expecting to see Jisung scrolling on his phone or scribbling down lyrics on some spare paper.
To your delight, you find Jisung sat on the couch, lamp on, illuminating his form in the darkness of the room. By the gentle sound of his snores paired with his awkward position on the couch, you can tell he’s fallen asleep. He looks so peaceful like this, eyes shut and lips slightly parted. a pillow is fit snugly in his lap, and his socked feet are tucked up on the couch.
Waking him up feels like a crime. He finds solace in sleeping, letting dreams sweep him up and take him far away from the stress and worries of life.
Well, You’re willing to be a felon.
Kneeling on the couch next to him, you rub his shoulder gently, slowly coaxing him to consciousness. With a sudden intake of breath, he awakes, blinking groggily at you.
“Mmf… g’morning…” His words slur together as he squints at you, managing a small smile.
“It’s not morning yet, Ji,” You brush the hair from his face, “Can I sleep here with you?”
You don’t mention anything about the nightmare, chickening out at the last second. It feels silly to disturb him just because you had a bad dream.
Instead of answering, he wraps his arm around you and pulls you to his chest. Snuggling into him, you let out a wavering, pent in sigh. You’re safe.
“You’re shaking.” Jisung rubs his hand up and down your arm, gazing down at you with brows furrowed in concern.
“I- yeah. I can’t really sleep.”
“Nightmare?”
You nod, turning to bury your face in the warm folds of his hoodie. Cradled in his lap like this, it feels as if nothing can hurt you.
Jisung smoothes his hand rhythmically over your back, soothing you. He doesn’t say anything else, just holds you tight and steady until the trembles leave your body.
Eventually, his hand stills. He probably fell back asleep. You wish you could do the same, but your mind is running this way and that, trying to keep the dark memories at bay. Jisung’s presence helps exponentially, but your body is still unwilling to succumb to the grips of sleep.
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
Jisung’s soft voice penetrates the silence, quiet and husky from sleep.
You make me happy, when skies are grey
You’ll never know, dear, how much I love you
It’s embarrassing to admit, but this song always put you right to sleep as a kid, and the same is true now. Your breathing steadies out underneath the blanket of his mellow voice, your mind finally drifting into the realms of unconsciousness.
Please don’t take my sunshine away

Me a week ago: I refuse to hurt my little baby Alear.
Me now: So is anybody gonna write angst about these bitches or do I have to do it myself?
#fe engage#personal#as much as i find joy in reading about how cringe fail my blorbos are#the game gives them existing trauma#it’s right there#i simply must have something that dives into that trauma#and if everyone else is just gonna write them being happy#then i must step up to the plate and throw out some angst#of course they find their happiness eventually#but i simply must find media that makes use of their trauma#in a respectful manner of course

Steddie Angst Prompt: Nepo Steve + Undiscovered Musician Eddie
Eddie is trying to make it big in the music scene but people don’t get ‘discovered’ nowadays, even with a manager, it’s all about who you know. And Eddie gets the chance to mingle after subbing for small band who were one member short. He scores an invitation to tag along to a party. A high profile party.
And Eddie’s manager gives him a tip: the son of C. Harrington, owner of huge record label GNH, will be there and he so happens to bat for the both teams.
Nothing is said directly but it’s heavily implied that if Eddie can manage to shake this guy’s hand and flirt his way into a few dates… that can be his in.
So, okay, stringing along some rich entitled asshole born with a silver spoon in his mouth? Eddie’s game. Doesn’t hurt that the guy is easy on the eyes, even if a little too on the preppy side for his tastes.
And he does it. He gets his few dates, but no word has reached Harrington senior about his music so it looks like this might turn into the long game.
Except that Steve is sweet.
Eddie didn’t count on Steve being so sweet.
Eddie didn’t count on Steve showing active emotional interest. To spill his heart out to Eddie and reach with such lonely hands practically begging to be loved.
Eddie didn’t count on falling in love either.
Maybe Eddie can have his cake and eat it too, right?
But then, well,
Steve finds out about his original intentions.
#of course eventually we get a happy ending#but in between we have the overwhelming guilt#the inner battle of morals#people being not what they seem#the betrayal#Steve heartbroken and pitches his music to his dad to get Eddie signed#as a fuck you this is what you wanted right?#eddie struggling to find a way to win him back#and regain his trust#does he sign the contract? does he burn it cuz he chooses Steve#does he write a whole album for Steve that debuts a year later?#does Steve forgive him?#that’s up to yall#steddie#bee speaks#steddie ficlet#steddie prompt#musician eddie munson#nepo baby steve Harrington
