#oc: jonathan doe

LETS GOOOOO-- HERE'S THE MAIN CAST FOR THE MEANING VIVERE!

This is a story I've been working on writing lately!

It follows a recently deceased person being brought back by an angel out of pity. The only problem is that he suffered a lot of head trauma-- causing amnesia-- and the angel can't stop the decay process. To repay the angel for life, all they ask is two things: to live, and to work as an embalmer at the morgue the angel runs. Jonathan then has to figure out what the angel means by living, while also juggling a lost and torn sense of identity and a rotting body.

Here's also a little preview to how the first chapter is coming along:

With all the grace of a rusted gate, he began the process of standing from the stool. He stumbled when his leg snapped back into fluidity. His face met with a tile wall and gave it a fresh new paint job. His arms reached out to balance himself a second too late. By the time he pulled his face off the scarlet wall, his legs had loosened and he was standing upright.

"The man who would be king"

As much as I'm not a fan of the British royals, I actually quite like that red portrait of King Charles by Jonathan Yeo… My OC Rage, in one of his many forms, while far from being a king, fit perfectly with the vibe and symbolism (?) of the painting, so I gave this a try.

I haven't done digital painting in a while, so it was quite a hassle, but the result definitely pays off.

Does Karen ever get mad that Joyce gets a middle name shout-out with a Jancy daughter and she doesn't?

Hi Nonny,

I don't think so. I think if she is upset she doesn't say anything. But I definitely think that Jonathan for lack of a better word charms Karen out of being mad on more than one occasion.

Plus, she's just so happy to finally have a baby to dress up in matching outfits and spoil that she doesn't really care.

Imagine being like eight years old and waking up in the morning with the intention of doing something really nice for your mom for Mother's Day and then ending the day with two dead parents and a surprise adoption by your absolute freak of an older brother. Not to mention the fact that the only reason your older brother didn't point blank you was because you've witnessed and been a victim of domestic abuse from your father.
