↬ HONEY PENELOPE !
ᓚᘏᗢ February 15th ᓚᘏᗢ
We're starting off with an OC barely anyone knows, and that's "Honey" Penelope. I decided to make this moodboard with screenshots from the different K-12 snippets since, well, Honey is an OC for the K-12 movie and the song trailer snippet thingies are actually pretty cool and interesting! Though, fair warning for a bit of body horror in some of them.

“What are you gonna name her?”
“Penelope.”
“Penelope… the archaeopteryx?”
“Yes.”
“Harley… just, why?”
“Because Pen is the mightier than the sword.”
“… Okay. It’s your dinosaur.”

Runaway Fiancé Part 1
Tumblr media
Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader
Part 2
Summary: You find out about J.J's love confession to Spencer, one month before your wedding. Why didn't Spencer tell you? Does he love her too? Can you get past this or will J.J come between you?
Word Count: 2,295
A/N: This was another work with an OC character but I really wanted to do it again with Reader. Also. I'm sorry. But J.J sucks. (I'll be honest I've never seen this episode because I refuse but like... bitch, you better be joking)
Yours and Spencer’s wedding day was coming up fast.
The happiest day of your lives was only a month away.
That’s when J.J and Spencer got caught up in a life-threatening situation and flipped everything on its head.
You could tell that something changed with Spencer after the ordeal.
He pulled away from you almost completely, he barely listened to any of your wedding plans and yous hadn’t spoken properly in two days.
Now, being held at gun point isn’t something you can just walk away from, everyone on the team knows that but that’s not what’s wrong here.
There was something else. You were sure of it.
And it all decided to come to blows on Rossi’s wedding night.
Spencer wasn’t himself. He isn’t spinning you around on the dancefloor like he usually did or doing magic with Henry or even laughing with the team.
Instead, the love of your life was sitting at the table alone, drinking and thinking.
You watched him stare into space and decided to ask Penelope about it. She would know if something was going on.
You made your way over to the dancefloor where Luke was spinning Penelope around.
You felt bad to interrupt them, but you needed to know if Penelope knew anything.
Narrowly avoiding their waving hands, you tapped Penelope on the shoulder, “I’m so sorry to interrupt but can I talk to you for a minute, P?”
Penelope grinned and linked arms with you, “Of course!” before they walked off, she waved her finger seriously at Luke, “Do not move.” to which Luke only laughed.
You led her over to the corner and subtly gestured to Spencer who was sitting with his back to you, “Has he said anything to you about the other day?”
Penelope thought for a moment before shaking her head, “No, honey, why do you ask?”
“He’s barely spoken to me, danced or even talked to Henry. He’s been sitting there drinking quietly almost all night and I’m worried that whatever happened in that shop really got to him.”
Penelope looked over sadly, “He hasn’t said anything to me. But I’m sure he’s alright, just a bit shaken up. He just needs some of your good lovin and he will be our regular boy wonder again.” She nudged you knowingly, “And it’s probably this reception is making him think of his own big day in a few weeks.”
“Yeah.” You smiled at the thought of your wedding being so close, “You’re probably right. I’m feeling it myself. This will be me soon.”
Penelope grinned and gave her a hug, “And it will be perfect. I’ll make sure of it.”
You giggled and gave her a big hug, “Thanks, P.”
With Penelope’s words fresh in your brain, you decided to just make Spencer feel as loved and cared for as possible, letting him know you were here when he felt ready to come to you. You grabbed two fresh drinks from the bar and made your way over to the table Spencer was sitting at.
You slowed down and couldn’t stop the small frown appearing on your face when you noticed that J.J was now sitting beside him and the two were talking quietly.
When you had found out that Spencer used to have a crush on J.J it really twisted your view of her. Not that it was her fault of course. But since they were such good friends, you just couldn’t help the insecurity that bubbled within you when they spent time together. Not that you’d ever say anything to anyone about it.
Taking a deep breath, you shook off any of the negative feelings. You were just going to walk up and join them; you didn’t mean to eavesdrop on their conversation.
“What I said… I said to throw the unsub off. Nothing more.” J.J’s voice wavered.
Spencer sighed, “Truth or dare?”
J.J turned to him, her eyes were shining with tears, “Truth.”
“Did you mean it?” Spencer turned his head to look at her as well, “Do you love me?”
Your blood ran cold.
Your heart thundered in your chest as the fog cleared and you now understood why Spencer had been acting so distant all day.
J.J told Spencer she loved him.
Your fiancé.
Your brain began to shut down and go ninety miles per hour all at the same time. You couldn’t process what just happened.
Spencer nodded, the look on J.J’s face told him more than words ever could. He pushed his chair back and moved to turn away from the table which, unfortunately for you, meant that he was now frozen in place and staring right at you. J.J noticed Spencer freeze and turned in the seat also stiffening when she saw you there.
You were just standing there like an idiot with a glass in each hand.
“Y/n?" Spencer called softly.
Your eyes darted between the two, before your flight response kicked in and you placed the two drinks quickly on the table, blurting out an, “Excuse me.” and rushing away from the table.
You were not going to make a scene on Rossi's wedding day. Absolutely not.
“Wait!” Spencer rushed after you before you made it outside and grabbed your wrist, “Y/n, please, this isn’t-”
J.J had also followed the couple and interrupted Spencer, “Y/n it isn’t what you think.”
“I really don’t want to hear anything from you right now. Okay?” You kept your voice low, “Your husband is looking for you.”
J.J nodded, knowing she was not wanted here and quickly vacated the area before it got worse.
You were so furious as you turned on your heel and walked away, forcing a smile to anyone you passed before finally making it outside.
You knew Spencer was following you, so you walked around the house until you were far enough away from everyone else.
You rounded on him immediately, “What is going on? And I’m not stupid Spencer so don’t even think of lying to me or try to run me in circles.” It was freezing outside but you couldn’t feel it as the anger inside you was keeping you warm.
Spencer just stared at you with wide eyes.
“Spencer Reid, so help me. I’m not angry often but you’ve seen it and I am two seconds away from combustion. Now, I don’t like jumping to conclusions, but this situation isn’t looking good, for either of you.”
“We are not sleeping together. I would never do that to you.” Spencer rushed out quickly, he knows where your mind was headed and he needed to get the truth out as fast as possible, “When, uh, when we were tied up, he ordered J.J to tell a secret she’s been too afraid to say, or he was going to shoot her. So, she- she told me that she has always loved me.”
She told me that she has always loved me.
You didn’t know if you wanted to laugh, cry or scream at this point.
This entire situation was ridiculous!
J.J has always loved him? Since when?! Where? In which universe? Because it certainly wasn’t this one.
You couldn’t wrap your head around this.
So, you inhaled and said the only thing you could, “And you?”
“And me what?” he frowned at you in confusion.
“Do you love her, Spencer?” You knew that there was a history there, years ago. He asked her on a date which J.J then brought Penelope to, and nothing ever came out of it. You thought it was over.
But apparently having kids and marrying another man still doesn’t mean you don’t love someone else!
Spencer was silent for a moment and then he took a step towards you, “I love you, Y/n.”
You could feel the tears welling up as Spencer deflected, “That’s not what I asked, Spencer.”
Spencer walked towards you, but you stepped back with each step he took, “Y/n...” he pleaded.
You couldn’t do this. You can’t process all this information.
You waved your hands at him, pleading him to stay back, “I need to think about this.” You rushed past him as fast as your heels would carry you. Making your way back inside and over to the table, grabbing your bag and shawl from the chair as quickly and as quietly as possible.
You could feel the tears threatening to spill over. You kept breathing deeply to try and keep them at bay until you were out of here.
You took one last glance around, watching the team all laughing, dancing and chatting happily, completely unaware of the breakdown that was crashing over you. You spotted J.J across the room dancing happily with Will.
Anger boiled inside you and turned and left the room before you trailed her by her hair.
You haven’t felt this petty since high school but that’s what you wanted to do.
You sniffed and rustled through your bag to find your phone and calling a cab company. Looking around you decided to hide behind the large tree in Rossi’s front garden and wait. Praying that no one saw you.
“Y/n?”
You cursed heavily and stepped back into the light and watched Emily making her way towards you.
“Hey, what are you doing out here?” she smiled.
You forced a smile back and clutched your shawl tighter around your shoulders, “I’m leaving.”
“What? Leaving?” Emily’s jaw was on the floor in shock. “Why?”
“I can’t be here. I need to leave, and I need to go right now. I don’t want to ruin Rossi’s big day.”
“Okay, woah.” Emily stepped closer and raised your hands to stop you, “Slow down and take a deep breath.”
You nodded and followed your boss’s instructions.
“Now, what’s going on?”
You didn’t even really know what was going on yourself. One second you were excited for your wedding and the next your fiancé was held at gun point and his old crush-slash-best friend told him she has always loved him and there was a possibility that he also loved her too.
Huh, maybe you could explain what was going on.
You opened your mouth to explain but the beeping of the taxi behind you stopped you and you sighed in relief, “I’ll explain later but, please, don’t say to anyone, not even Spencer. I’ll text you. I will.” She talked as she opened the door of the cab and slid in and gave the driver her address.
“Y/n!”
You heard someone yell after you as the taxi began driving away, turning around to look out the back window you saw Spencer panting and standing in the garden beside Emily, looking as though he had just run around the building to find you.
Your eyes locked and neither of you broke it until the driver was outside the property and your fiancé was no longer in sight.
---
Spencer had gotten the next cab as quickly as he could. Ignoring all of Emily’s questions as he began calling and calling and calling you. He told the driver to go to his apartment, hoping you would be there, but it was empty.
He sprinted back down to the cab driver to give him your address.
He threw the money at the driver; more than the fare even cost as he got out of the cab and glad of his long legs as he took the stairs two at a time until he made it to your door; he couldn’t have been more than thirty minutes behind you.
“Y/n!?” he yelled as he searched all the rooms, “Baby, please.” He ran into your bedroom and saw the closet open, and a few clothes were taken. He looked under your bed and saw your go bag missing, “No, no, no, no.”
He felt the tears forming in his eyes as he stumbled back into main area. Beginning to hyperventilate and glancing around the room until his eyes fell on an envelope.
An envelope with his name on it.
Empty apartments and letters with names on them are never good.
This just reminds him of when Gideon left him, and everyone knew how much that devastated him.
He ran his hands through his hair and down his face before walking over to the counter and picking up the letter.
He let out a sigh of relief as the envelope wasn’t weighted which meant that meant her engagement ring wasn’t in it which filled Spencer with a little hope.
He ripped open the envelope and read over the letter five times before the words sank in.
Spence,
My love, I’m sorry I left without telling you why in person. I know what that did to you when Gideon left, but I just couldn’t bring myself to talk about it at Rossi’s wedding.
I needed to get away from the situation.
I don’t know how to process this and being around J.J will only make it worse.
So, I’m going away for a few days. I need to think this through, and I hope you do as well.
You are the greatest thing in my life, and I hope that you never doubt that.
You may say you didn’t, but you hesitated when I asked you if you love her and then you didn’t say yes or no.
I can’t marry someone who is in love with someone else and I’m sure you can’t either.
Please think about what and who you want to be with.
Please, don’t try to find me. I’m safe and I’m checking in with Emily.
I’ll see you soon and I love you so much,
Y/n x
Spencer fell to his knees when he finished reading the letter.
You were gone, and he wasn’t sure if he was going to get you back.

I'm not going to release the full playlist yet since it contains heavy spoilers. Same thing with the Oc's.
(Y/n)'s playlist
- Fictional by khloe rose.
(The feelings the reader had since she was little. Also the type of song that inspired me to write this self insert fanfic.)
- Rat by Penelope Scott
(This describes the relationship between the reader and her dad. How she feels deep inside. Also, I dunno if this counts much as a spoiler, but her dad is an engineer, so yeah. )
- W.I.T.C.H by Devon cole
(Wether someone calls her a witch or an ogre, she doesn't care. She can handle herself and that's all that matters.
And we stan a strong queen in this household)

Someone who can manhandle and keep him in line.)
Lute x ( Y/n ) [Will come in future]
- Love like you
(She doesn't understand how she of all people managed to fall for you. This feeling should be a sin.
Yet, when she gets close to you, she can't regret it. )
An Animalistic Disaster playlist
- Can't sleep love by pentatonix
(I can just imagine the reader and Melody talking in phone like this. The reader can't decide what to do with all these feelings since all her fictional crushes have actually come to life AND living with her. She can't decide if she should act on it or not. Melody is already done with her shit and telling her to go back to sleep.)
- Bang bang by K'naan
( Okay, this is for my own brain rot. This is for everyone in the harem x reader. I can see the animation meme happening clearly in my head.
Every line is sang by different characters and when the 'bang' parts comes, a animal turns into human after getting hit by reader's love shot :)
Like-
She was walking around with a loaded shotgun - Angel
Ready to fire me a hot one - Cherri
It went- Charlie
*Sheep Charlie* BANG *human Charlie*
*Squirrel Cherri* BANG * Human Cherri*
*Deer Alastor* BANG * *Human Alastor*
Straight through my heart - Alastor
Maybe one day, if I learn to do animation.  I'll make something like this. )

It follows the Fisher King episodes. And with this chapter we shall officially start with Season 2 of the series! :) Hope you enjoy!
Takes place during Episode 22, Season 1 & Episode 1, Season 2
"So since you won't be allowed any cell service, no contact or anything for the next few days, please please, be careful." Evelyn smothered a smile as she turned her back to her mentor while she placed another set of clothes into her suitcase. She glanced over her shoulder to watch Penelope standing at the doorway, arms crossed over her chest.
"Penny, I'll be fine! I'll get the job done, get some extra cash, come back and spend it on some new baking equipment, if I don't already have it." The red head trailed off as she stared into the distance, thinking of all the shiny new things she'd buy. Her mentor however seemed to still be concerned about the no contact issue.
"Just be careful sweetie. I won't be there to watch your back you know that." The blonde pursed her lips, looking rather miffed about the fact. Evelyn nodded.
"Don't worry I will. Scout's honor!" Her words, and the salute seemed to reassure Penelope as she reached out to place a loud kiss to the shorter girl's cheek, prompting her to scrunch her features in mock playfulness.
"Have fun then honey." She said as she pulled back. "Show them what your mentor has been teaching you."
Her protégé gave a nod and a confident smile. "I'll make you proud Penelope!"
                                              ————————–
Pursing his lips Reid stood at the elevator door of the bullpen, watching as Evelyn said her goodbyes to the rest of the Team. He'd offered to see her off, one that she'd about to decline at first but sensing the urgency in his tone had given in and nodded. Now as he watched her approach him, slinging her bag over her shoulder he couldn't help but feel that this was a bad idea.
"Ready to see me off Spencer?" She asked, once she reached him. He nodded reaching out to press the elevator button. If Evelyn noticed his silence, she didn't comment on it. The two stepped into the elevators, standing inches apart. After the elevator began its descent. Still neither spoke.
Finally Reid cleared his throat. "I'm going to Vegas during our two week break." They still had a week till their vacation, but already most of them had made plans. Evelyn turned to raise an eyebrow at him, smiling slightly.
"Vegas?" Realization dawned and she smirked. "Awfully close to L.A. isn't it Spencer?" The teasing tone of her voice had him giving her a glare, to which she quickly raised her hands in a surrendering motion.
"Its nothing like that Evelyn. Nothing could've ever happened between us. Besides its been months." The red head looked sheepish and slightly nervous at his tone. Unconsciously she took a step away from her teammate, something that Reid noticed and instantly felt bad for snapping at her.
"Sorry, won't mention it again." The red head quickly stepped out of the elevator once the doors opened with Reid following after her. He was about a foot or so behind her when he suddenly reached out to catch her wrist, just as they stepped outside the building. Evelyn glanced up at him in surprise and astonishment. Reid understood her emotions. He never liked touching people. Especially their hands. Granted it was her wrist, it was still some skin.
"I'm sorry for snapping. I'm just…" He trailed off as words failed him, though his mouth remained open. Though there was confusion in her gaze, the red head still managed to smile. Her hand moved to grip his, giving him a reassuring squeeze.
"I don't know what it is you have to tell me Spence. And I don't care if you don't tell me." Her words made him lower his head, half with embarrassment, half from shame. Squeezing his hand once more, she urged him to look at her, by tilting her head down to meet his gaze. She said something that was drowned out by the sound of an approaching car. She spoke so softly. But as he watched her walk away to the car that came to pick her, he couldn't help but feel an ounce of strength settle within him as he watched the memory of her replay in the back of his head for the rest of the day.
"I'm here for you, Spence."
Settling into the car, Evelyn looked out of the tinted windows, smiling at the sight of her friend still standing there. Wishing she could wave to him, or even give him a big hug, she settled for a quick press of her hand against the cool glass. Though not the hand that had just held his. That hand was squeezed shut, still feeling warm from having gripped his for more then a few seconds.
And Evelyn wanted to relish warmth that made her smile all through the ride, a soft look in her blue gaze.
                                              ————————–
"The youngest has the key." JJ muttered under her breath as she stood in front of the evidence board gazing at the aforementioned key as it lay in the evidence bag.
"I don't get it. The youngest out of all of us is Evelyn." The media liaison continued, glancing up at Reid in slight confusion. It was Morgan who answered.
"Since Giles hacked into the systems, and had all our locations and addresses it would explain how the Unsub knew to send it to Reid instead of Evelyn." Reid pursed his lips, briefly wondering how things would be if Evelyn were here.
"Probably why he didn't mention her in his video either. Since she is a part of the Team and everything." Elle commented, trying her best to fight the heaviness that made her eyelids droop every few seconds.
Hotch, who had just walked in after talking to Gideon, sat in his chair, picking up a file. "Well she is safe, which is a good thing." Their superior muttered, his attention already on the papers within the file.
"Either he has no interest in her or he just decided that she shouldn't be part of the quest." The words were followed by a sound of chair scraping against the floor as Morgan stood to get himself some coffee.
"Lets hope it's both." The entire Team lifted their heads to glance at the person who'd spoken, surprised by the relief in the tone. Oblivious to the looks, Reid stood in front of the board, arms crossed, a slight frown on his face as he regarded the clues they'd already put up on the board.
                                                 ————————–
As Elle stepped into her house, she was greeted by the sight of an unexpected figure waiting for her.
"Evelyn? What're you doing here? I thought you were supposed to be away on the secret assignment." She could see the younger woman hadn't slept properly in days. There were bags under her eyes, and her hair was in complete disarray, some strands even falling out of her pony tail. Evelyn nodded.
"I was! But then I got this letter saying you'd been arrested and were put under house arrest as soon as you came back from Jamaica. The assignment finished early and I came home as soon as I could." Her worry was laced in her voice as she watched the other woman collapse into the window seat, exhausted.
"I wasn't." The red head quickly moved to sit down beside Elle.
Her tone was equal parts worried and curious as she asked. "Whats going on Elle?"
Elle glanced at her friend and despite wanting to explain everything, another wave of exhaustion hit her and she had to prevent herself from falling forward onto the floor. "I want to explain everything Eve, really I do, but I haven't slept in nearly two days. I gotta sleep. Why don't you go down to the office? They'll explain everything." Evelyn bit her lower lip before nodding.
"Alright. I'll go there right now. You get some sleep then." The red head quickly stood and made her way to the front door, seeing as Elle had entered form the backdoor.
"Thanks." Elle called, prompting the other girl to glance over her shoulder have a parting smile and wave, disappearing from sight around the corner. Elle moved to lay her head on one of the pillows, sighing in relief as she allowed the tiredness she'd been holding at bay to take complete hold of her. Elle having been half-asleep hadn't heard the thud of the body hitting the floor.
Neither Agents were aware of another presence in the house. One that held a gun in one hand, and a syringe that was now empty as he stared at the unmoving figure of Agent Evelyn Richardson on the floor.
                                                 ————————–
The remaining Agents of the BAU quickly made their way to the phone at Agent Greenaway's desk.
"Gideon." The man spoke as a way of greeting as soon as he had pressed the button.
"What I had to do was not my fault." The voice was hoarse, gravelly as it came through the speakers.
"Excuse me?" Gideon cut in, obviously a little confused. And afraid.
"It was distasteful and barbaric." The man on the other line continued, as if he hadn't been interrupted.
"Who is this?" Gideon demanded, his tone authoritative.
"No one else had to be hurt." Hotch frowned at how almost desperate the other person sounded.
"Call yourself 'The Fisher King'?"
"I told you there were rules."
"I'm actually more interested in exactly how you got all those burns." Gideon retorted, though the man wasn't thrown off by the rapid questioning.
"Remember this next time you decide to step outside my instructions. Agent Greenaway did not have to die like that." Alarmed looks passed between the four people standing around the phone, which instantly gave way to worry.
But the Unsub wasn't finished.
"And do not worry about Agent Richardson." A deathly silence followed the man's words. "She is safe. For now." He continued. "But if you break the rule one more time, I cannot guarantee her safety. Or her life."
The line went dead.
"He has her?! He has Evelyn?!" Penelope nearly shrieked almost instantly, eyes wide and tearful as she did her best to keep her voice down. Gideon instantly met Hotch's gaze and the two nodded before the latter spoke.
"This conversation never happened." His words caused both Reid and Garcia to stare at him in bewilderment, though Reid's shifted to one of understanding.
Garcia, however, demanded answers. "What?"
Hotch lowered his voice as he spoke. "If anyone outside of our team even finds out about Evelyn being kidnapped, they will take us off the case." Reid nodded in agreement, pursing his lips.
"But-"
"If that happens, he will kill Evelyn." There was something resembling resignation in the young genius's tone as he spoke. Garcia didn't speak this time, simply nodding.
"We need to go and check on Elle. Reid? Garcia? Find the book, unscramble that code. Hotch and I will go to Elle's place right now. We'll contact JJ and Morgan on the way."
With that the four of them split, fear and worry gripping their hearts as they did. Though other emotions seemed to be at the forefront as well.
Anger. Despair. Sorrow. Love.
                                              ————————–
Elle had been shot and was fighting for her life. At least they knew where she was and how she was doing. Evelyn on the other hand. The thought of the red head caused Morgan to shoot past yet another signal, his knuckles white as he gripped the steering wheel. JJ reached out to lay a gentle, reassuring hand on his shoulder, which the other Agent barely acknowledged as they both drove back to the BAU, having gotten the information that they needed. There were tears in JJ's eyes, which she did her best to keep at bay as she thought of her two friends. Two of the most amazing people she had met. One of whom she was much closer to then the other. At the thought of the red head JJ heaved a shuddering breath, thinking back on the very long and deep conversation she had had with her once they'd gotten back from Los Angeles. They could only hope they would be able to catch the son of a bitch and make him pay for what he had done.
                                              ————————–
In a dark room eyelids fluttered as they finally opened. Only to be met with a pitiful sight. Blurriness all around her. Someone had taken her glasses. A low groan fell from her lips as, with trembling arms, she pushed herself to sit up.
"Are you alright?" Eyes that could barely make out anything in the dark, flickered in the direction of the voice. "Whose there?" Her voice was hoarse from lack of use.
"I'm Rebecca." The words were followed by a series of coughs, ones that made Evelyn flinch with worry. "I'm a prisoner like you." The voice responded. Her heart plummeted in her stomach and her hands trembled. Pushing herself up from the bed she was laying on the red head raised a hand to her forehead and cradled it there, trying to get her bearings.
"My glasses…." Evelyn trailed off once the other girl responded. "You didn't have any when you came in." Disappointment flooded her as she sighed. Her bag wasn't around her body, neither was her badge in her pocket. She could only assume the person who had knocked her out had taken it.
Finally gaining some semblance of normalcy the red head reached a reassuring hand out to the girl, which she felt her take. "Don't worry Rebecca. My friends will find us." The girl let out an almost relieved whimper as she allowed her head to rest on Evelyn's shoulder. Evelyn nearly jumped at the heat that was radiating off the girl. Clearly she was very very sick. As the girl sobbed, Evelyn wrapped her arm around her, pulling her close to provide warmth to her shivering frame, hoping and praying for her Team to find her soon.
                                              ————————–
Hotch walked in with a cup of coffee. His third one in the last two hours. But he wasn't keeping count. He was more worried about his team. One of which was lying open on an operating table and fighting for her life. The other who was missing. He briefly wondered how Evelyn would've been taken away from her assignment when it was so heavily guarded. The voice message he had played once his phone had re-charged explained everything. Apparently she had finished early and the hysteric voice of his youngest team member was still echoing in his ear as she demanded to know what had happened to Elle in Jamaica. Since her cell was still confiscated, she didn't have any other number memorized and had called him. Hotch was ready to kick himself. If he had gotten to her in time, she wouldn't have been taken like she was. As he began another trip around the waiting room, he passed Gideon who was lost in his own thoughts which were a mix between a strong brown haired woman and a shy yet eager red head, one smiling confidently at him, the latter with a smile of her own. Though this one was of happiness and relief. A smile she'd worn when Gideon decided to listen to her story and offer his help with her sister. He hoped he wouldn't fail her. That he could still save her.
                                              ————————–
"So you've been here for two years?" Evelyn asked, her voice low as she did, not wanting any hidden microphones to hear her. She felt Rebecca nod.
"Yeah, I was sixteen when I decided to ran away from my adopted parents. I didn't know a week of being away would turn to years." A small sob escaped the distress girl. In the time they had been sitting together, Evelyn had managed to coax the girl into eating a little bit of chicken their captor had brought. And though her vision was blurry and unfocused she still managed to see where they were.
And having someone explain to her didn't hurt.
"As soon as we get out of here, we'll get you a good doctor." The red head could only reassure the younger girl, though as night fell outside she could feel an inkling of worry and doubt settle into the pit of her stomach as well, prompting her to bite her lower lip on more then one occasion. Her head was aching from her lack of glasses and she could feel her own hunger pangs starting to become unbearable. But she didn't want to eat. Not when someone as sick as Rebecca needed all the strength she could get. Though it had been hours since the red head had had anything to eat.
As Rebecca was hit with another bought of coughs, all Evelyn could do was hold her trembling frame, trying to steady her frail weak figure.
                                              ————————–
As he sat in around the table in the evidence room, Reid couldn't help but go through all the information he had written to his mother in those letters. There was just so much. And most of it wasn't even information. They were just random facts and thoughts about him and his work, the books he read, and of course his team. He'd talked about his team a lot. Stating their likes and dislikes, their hopes and dreams at times. Even future plans. Cases. He pursed his lips as Evelyn came to mind. He'd, of course, spoken about her to his mother, why wouldn't he? She was one of his closest friends. They shared an understanding when it came to social norms and such. Though he was more likely to seclude himself away on purpose, Evelyn was mostly painfully shy. A quality he had always found endearing. Sighing he ran a hand down his face just as Penelope entered the room as well. The two shared a brief look, with the latter conveying her understanding of his distress. She was the only one who knew about his mother so far. But Reid had a feeling they would all know soon enough. And as Penelope prayed and prayed for both Elle and Evelyn's safe return Reid couldn't help but blame himself for what had happened so far.
                                              ————————–
She was safe. Evelyn was safe. She was safe and in his arms.
The fire raged behind him as all of them quickly ran out of the house and onto the road. Hotch was calling for another ambulance as well as a fire truck, while Morgan was keeping a firm grip on Rebecca as he made his way to the ambulance that was already there.
Evelyn was clutching Reid as he made his way towards one of the cars they'd arrived in, opening the front door to seat her inside. "I'm alright Spence." The red head reassured the blurry figure of her friend as he looked her over for any injuries. She was only covered in soot and her cardigan was gone from where she had draped it over Rebecca to keep her warm. Otherwise the red head was fine. Her skin felt itchy and she knew that was from the soot and smoke. Suddenly everything came into view as her glasses slid back into their place. Evelyn blinked as she focused on Spencer's face and how close it was to her own. They held one another's gaze for a good few seconds, with Spencer's hands cradling her head, and her own gripping his wrists as if to reassure herself that he was there. That this wasn't a dream.
Spencer shifted forward, mouth opening to say something when he grimaced and hissed. Instantly the moment was broken to be replaced by worry on Evelyn's part as she watched her team member glance down at his thigh which looked like it was….
                                              ————————–
"Burnt! Spencer, you were hurt and you just stood there to make sure I was alright." Evelyn's voice was chiding as she stood in front of him. Having been declared fit to go, the red head had raced through a shower and change of clothes after which she'd arrived at the office, only to be smothered by an ecstatic Penelope and JJ. Gideon had smiled at her, as had Hotch. Morgan had been the one to sweep her up in a hug that could rival Penelope's. And after being assured of Elle's condition, Spencer had offered to get her a sandwich from the office canteen. Penelope, had demanded Morgan tell her everything that had happened and dragged him off to her office to repair and talk. Gideon and Hotch walked off to recount everything that had happened to their Superiors, while JJ held a press conference.
"It was the least I could do Evelyn. You were kidnapped because of me." The other agent replied as they slowly made their way towards the room where the Team met for cases. The red head, having inhaled her sandwich only sighed.
"Spence, it wasn't your fault. And Elle is fine, and I know she wouldn't want you to blame yourself for this. This was out of our hands." Reaching the door of the conference room, Evelyn stopped short, reaching out to gently and tentatively take his hand just as she had done when she left a week ago.
"Look at me." Her voice was soft and pleading, prompting his eyes to meet hers. She smiled at him as her other hand came up to reassuringly place a hand to the side of his face. "Elle is going to be fine Spence. And I'm fine too. See? Not a scratch?" Her hair had been wet when she'd stepped out of her shower, so she'd left them open. And without the severe grip of her pony tail, Spencer could see more of that softness in her that she possessed. Finally sighing the man gave a small nod, the corner of his mouth lifting in a small smile before it dropped and he wrapped his arms around her in a hug. Evelyn gasped in surprise, her arms being pressed to his chest. It took a brief second of her surprise to disappear before she simply snuggled into the embrace, her arms shifting to wrap around his middle, her face buried in his chest, glasses digging into her skin, but she didn't care. Not when the worry and fear of the day was finally starting to slowly disappear from her mind. Little did she know, Spencer was drawing the same comfort from her. Allowing himself to feel the relief that broke inside him like a dam as he held her close.
Diana Reid glanced behind her son at the woman who had just entered.
"Mother? I'd like you to meet someone." He sounded almost nervous as he spoke. And Evelyn felt just as much as she stepped forward once Spencer motioned for her to do so.
"Mother, this is-"
But his mother cut him off. "Evelyn." Both agents blinked not having expecting for Evelyn to be recognized so easily. Diana Reid stood up from her seat on the couch and smiled at the two.
"You didn't think I wouldn't recognize her did you Spence? Hair redder then a ruby, was that how you described her?" His cheeks flushed at his mother's words, while Evelyn's eyes widened behind her wide-framed glasses and she made a face at her friend.
"You compared me to a stone?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Your hair." Her friend was quick to correct her. Evelyn rolled her eyes.
"Whats next? You comparing my eyes to a sapphire?" Spencer looked like he was about to retort but was cut off by his mother.
"A Lapis Lazuli actually."
"Mother!" His voice was more of a squeak then anything as Evelyn stared at Spencer in disbelief. Diana Reid frowned.
"Was that supposed to be a secret? You certainly described her perfectly." His mother's words had a blush creeping up Evelyn's cheek as she stepped out from behind Spencer and gave the woman a sweet smile.
"Its nice to meet you Mrs Reid." The older woman smiled back. "Likewise Evelyn. I would love to stay and chat but I believe I have a small lecture to give." Seeing the slightly crestfallen look the girl wore, Diana continued with a reassuring smile.
"Spencer? Bring Evelyn the next time you come and visit me. I would very much like to have a long chat with her. And perhaps she can bring me some of her famous cookies?" At the mention of her baked good the red head beamed with pride.
"I'll bring a whole batch for you Mrs Reid." The red head said eagerly as she stepped forward. Spencer could only stare, gob smacked.
He had never seen Evelyn warm up to someone so easily.
Still he couldn't help the warm feeling of happiness that rose in his chest as he watched the two women interact and smile at one another. He had always written to his mother how he knew Evelyn and her would get along well. And it seemed he wasn't wrong.
And neither was Diana it seemed. Despite her illness, she had always known there was something else her son wasn't telling her about Evelyn. Something, perhaps, even he didn't know yet. But looking at how he was watching Evelyn as she turned to tell him excitedly of the assignment she had just finished, Diana couldn't help but note the affection the two seemed to hold for each other in their eyes.
An affection she had only ever read about in the love poems of great writers.
It almost felt as if she were seeing something that would overcome a great many other quests.
And Diana Reid couldn't wait to read about it in the letters her son would write her.

Descendants OC time! (so far anyway lol)
(Keep in mind that their profiles aren't entirely finished; some of them I haven't fully developed yet, but this is them in general)
Tumblr media

(Her grandfather Geppetto taught her how to carve when she was younger, and now she loves creating and making things.)
She is much like her father (happy-go-lucky, etc), but she is also mature for her age. She is 14 years old.
She is also a dancer (mainly dances ballet, contemporary, and tap).
Her nickname is Ellie, and her favorite snack is warm cinnamon rolls.

Her eyes sometimes flash green when she's angry.
She is 15 years old.
Chrissy loves animals; she has taken in a baby donkey, which she has named Posy. (the Coachman was going to leave Posy to die, as he didn't need any more donkeys at the moment; Chrissy started to care for her)

Hey Tumbler!!!! This is my first actual post lol, and I wanted to make it me info dumping :3. This is all stuff I wrote about one of my OCs and I hope yall love her as much as I do
(PS there is some swearing so, yeah :D)
Her name is Penny (short for Penelope (NOT IT IS NOT A EPIC REFERENCE)) She/Her and she is a “Straight Christian girl” who just so *happens* to have a “special interest” in the HOTTEST girl in school. She lived her life normally, going to school, getting *average* grades, she when to church on Sunday, the whole chick and kabotal :3. Uhhhhhhhhhhhh, she’s in band (cause of course, what do you take me for? A MONSTER?) and she plays flute :D. She had both of her parents together still, a younger brother named David, and a dog named Goober. You could say she basically had a perfect life, to her it was that at least. She had lots of friends, right? I mean, she was basically one of the most popular girls in school. Well, everyone did know penny, and she was the most popular girl in school for YEAR, until one new girl transferred to their high school. Piper was her name, and DAMN did she gain traction fast. She was initially accepted onto the cheerleading team (that didn’t matter to penny as she was in the marching band ✊) and all of the students started paying attention to HER instead of penny. And Penny was 👏M👏A👏D👏. Don’t get me wrong, she has always been in and out of popularity, but something about piper just, AH, but she did know what. After many months of just HATING Piper, she went to go talk to her priest about it. The priest, sounding a bit off from usual, gives her a drink the he says will “calm her down”. She, being told by her mother to always trust the priest, drink the gold-ish drink. Penny feels, find ig? She still DEFINITELY hates Piper, but like, it’s not like a hate hate anymore? She doesn't know how to describe it fully. Anyways she goes home, just, feeling normal per usual. She has dinner with her family, she showers, brushes her teeth, does her whole routine. Something was a little off tho when she started brushes her teeth thought. She had a, tail? No that couldn’t be, she look behind her and it wasn't there. She look back in the mirror and IT WAS THERE AGAIN. “WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON” she said to herself. Just thinking she was so exhausted, she went to bed soundly. The next day she got up LATE in the day. Luckily it was the weekend, so she didn’t really mind. She looked at her alarm clock and it was…. 16:00!!!! JESUS, she normally wakes up at 11 at the latest in the weekends, BUT 4 PM?!?!?!?! She rushed to her bathroom, hoping she wasn't just going crazy, (and to absolutely NO ONES SURPRISE) she looked in the mirror, and her worst nightmare came true. She was a DEMON! She had two long red horns, two scaly wings the size of her arms, and still from yesterday, her tail. She SCREAMED, almost shattering the mirror. Her mother ran upstairs, “honey are you ok?” Said her mom, looking like she just say a ghost. “I’m hideous, oh my god I’m discussing” Penny repeated what felt like a million times. Penny's parents not knowing what the hell to do, take her to the church as that was the last place Penny went to before she went back home. They burst through the church doors, yelling for the priest to help them with there daughter who is sobbing her eyes off. The priest came running out. “Let me take her to the back, I can help her there. You will have to stay here” he states to them, still not fully sounding like himself. He probably just has a cold everyone has been thinking. The priest takes Penny to the back of the church. She stops fully crying, only having a few tears left in her eyes, only to see a SATANIC CIRCLE ON THE GROUND. What was the priest was now a full on demon, looking like he was about to sacrifice Penny! “WAIT, NO PLEASE STOP” she screaming at the demon. “Ooooooooo, so your a screamer huh? The boss is gonna like you” Penny is in absolute shock. The demon can talk? What dose he mean screamer? WHAT BOSS? SATIAN? “WAIT NO, ILL DO ANYTHING, PLEASE” she screams, what feels as if she is ripping her vocal cords apart. The demon freezes, and slowly turns his head towards Penny, with the worlds biggest smirk as if this wasn't his first time doing something like this
Thank all for reading if ya did. I probably won’t post often lol, but if I do it will probably be about more OCs :3

Chapter Seven - A Real Rain
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: FBI agent Leila faces a profound life change after giving birth to a baby girl, supported by her loving husband. Despite the challenges of motherhood, Leila returns to her role as a dedicated agent a few months later, ready to confront gruesome and haunting cases with the BAU team.
Pairing: BAU!Fem!OC x Male!OC , EVENTUAL Aaron Hotchner x BAU!Fem!OC (Like much later)
Warnings: This story contains mature themes such as sexual content, strong language, violence, mentions of alcohol and drugs, blood, gore, and death. All the usual Criminal Minds stuff. And there is NO CHEATING.
Note 1: I imagine Leila Kade as South Asian but I have decided to let you, the reader, imagine her appearance, hence the reason why I have not given her a face claim. However, her race does not affect the story, whatsoever. You, as the reader, are free to imagine her however you want. If you don't see her as South Asian, then that's fine. It won't affect the storyline. I also imagine the OC!Male as South Asian, but again, it won't affect the storyline.
Note 2: The team will consist of the main cast (Emily, Derek, JJ, Spencer, Penelope, Aaron, and Rossi) but will also include Elle Greenaway and Jason Gideon because they were some of my favorite characters and I wanted to include them with the rest of the team. Basically, Elle and Gideon never leave when Emily and Rossi join.
Note 3: There will be multiple time skips throughout this series. For example, the first chapter will begin on the first season and episode of the show but then there will be a time skip to later episodes (because there are obviously way too many episodes to write this series on and I wanted to include specific episodes that would help the plot of this story). This means that this series will be a slow burn romance but I believe it to be better this way. This will also stray from the actual show a lot, so don't expect it to follow the plot precisely.

Season 1, Episode 17
Jasmine's joyful giggles filled the room as Zaid continued to play with her, bouncing her gently on his stomach. Leila lay on her pillow, her eyes heavy with exhaustion, but her heart warmed by the sight of her husband and daughter bonding.
"I don't want to go to work." Leila mumbled, her voice barely audible as she fought the urge to stay in bed.
Zaid turned his attention from their daughter to Leila, his expression softening with understanding. Still holding Jasmine securely, he offered her a gentle smile. "I know, honey." He said. His gaze briefly returned to Jasmine, pride and love evident in his eyes, before he turned back to Leila. "Why don't you take a day off today? Just one day to relax and recharge. It won't hurt, right?"
Leila paused, considering Zaid's suggestion. The thought of a break sounded enticing. The last extended break she'd taken was during her maternity leave, which felt like ages ago. However, all the thoughts washed away when her phone started ringing.
“Never mind.” Zaid sighed.
Leaving her family was the most challenging part. She had deep respect for her job, knowing that catching those sick criminals meant one less murderer on the streets. However, she couldn't help but despise being away from her family for days on end.
Being a mom while also being an FBI agent wasn't the easiest job. Although she had her husband, Jasmine sometimes wouldn't even go to her dad, wanting to be with her mom all the time. Balancing the demands of working tough cases for days straight and then being back at home to take care of her daughter and spend time with her family as a whole took a toll on her mental health. But at least she had Zaid, who helped her in any way he could.
As she prepared to say goodbye, Zaid wrapped his arms around her, drawing her closer to his chest. "You're overworking yourself. You should take a break soon."
She sighed, resting her head on his chest. "I know. I will soon. Maybe after this case."
"Okay, good." He replied, planting a kiss on the top of her head. "I love you."
"I love you, too." Leila said, glancing over his shoulder to see Jasmine lying on the bed. She walked over and sat on the edge, giving her daughter a quick kiss on her forehead. "I love you, Jasmine."
Jasmine squealed with delight, kicking her legs in response to her mom's affection. Zaid joined the baby on the bed, knowing how fussy their daughter could get when her mom had to leave.
On the jet, Leila sat next to Elle, who was playing cards with JJ and Spencer. They were en route to their new case, which involved a serial killer who stabbed knives into the victims' ears, then broke off the handles. Leila put on her glasses and delved into the case file.
“This is not how I planned to spend a few days home in New York.” Elle said, looking carefully at her cards.
“I'd kill for an afternoon at Barneys and dinner at Il Cantinori.” JJ responded.
“I'm looking forward to seeing New York.” Spencer chimed in, shocking everyone on the plane with his response.
Derek raised an eyebrow. “You've never been to New York?”
Spencer shook his head. “We've never had an unsub there.”
Aaron turned to Gideon, overhearing their conversation. “I thought you were going to talk to Reid about taking some vacation time.”
“What's vacation time?” Gideon sarcastically questioned.
“Reid, it's a one-hour flight.” Derek exasperated, still shocked.
“Well, if we have some time, I'll show you around.” JJ smiled reassuringly at Spencer.
“It's a three-hour train ride, man.” Everyone, except Leila, laughed, while Spencer looked flustered.
Leila rubbed her temples, sensing a headache coming on. Zaid was right, she really was overworking herself. She was afraid she might become sick soon.
Elle looked over at her and furrowed her eyebrows. “Hey, you okay?” She whispered, as not to gain attention from the members on the plane. “Do you need anything?”
Leila shook her head, laying her back onto the seat. “I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.”
“It’s kind of my job to worry about you, Leila.” Elle retorted. “I’m here if you need anything.”
Leila looked at her from the corner of her eyes, giving her a tight-lipped smile. “Thanks, Elle.”
Situating herself at the station in New York, her raging headache did not subside even after they landed. Leila took some painkillers in hopes that the headache would go away, but it had yet to kick in.
Someone placed a glass of water in front of her, causing Leila to look up. Aaron sat down in the chair next to her, keeping his usual stoic face present. “Drink it.”
Leila rolled her eyes but complied, bringing the glass to her lips and taking a few sips. “Thanks.” She mumbled, placing it back down and closing her eyes.
“You’re overworking yourself.” Aaron stated, narrowing his eyes at her. “If you need a few days off, just tell me.”
She scoffed, rubbing her eyes. “Aaron, if I needed a day off, I would’ve told you. And I don’t want to leave you guys.”
Locking eyes with her, his stern face didn’t falter. “You’re a vital member of this team but if you need some time away, I understand. You’re an agent who is also a mother to a little girl, so you have priorities outside of work.”
Her face softened at the mention of Jasmine. She put the glass of water down onto the desk, then clasped her hands together to tuck under her chin. “I guess I do need a break.” Aaron was about to speak before she cut him off. “After this case, though. I’m taking a break after we’re done with this case.”
Aaron nodded his head before standing up. He gently offered a comforting touch on her shoulders before walking away.
The team decided to get dinner at a nearby restaurant, not having found any new leads in the case after a long day. Leila’s headache had finally simmered down, allowing her to feel comfortable with working once again.
“So you know there was a big hole in the profile you presented back there.” Aaron told Gideon, as they all began to eat. Leila smelled the delicious food and immediately dove in, feeling starved from the entire day.
JJ looked confused, looking between Aaron and Gideon. “What's the hole?”
“I left out the possibility our UnSub might be a cop.” Gideon answered. Leila looked up at them, her eyes going from one person to the next as she continued to chew her food.
Derek chimed in. “Well, they do know the system. They're definitely overworked and underpaid.”
Aaron nodded his head but his eyes were set on his plate. “They see so much injustice every day they can easily take matters into their own hands.”
Leila swallowed before inputting her own comment. “It would certainly make sense.”
Spencer added his own facts, all while struggling to use the chopsticks. “When someone like our victim is killed, police refer to the murder as a public service murder.”
“You know how many rapists I saw walk during my Sex Crime days?” Elle shook her head, sighing. “And either the victims, they didn't want to press charges, or the juries, they said that she was asking for it. It was enough to make you explode.”
Leila took a napkin to wipe the corner of her mouth, holding it in her hand as she continued to eat. “The system is messed up. It doesn’t make sense how these people can just get away.”
“Well, it's a long way from feeling like that and actually committing murder.” JJ stated. “Don't you think?”
“Oh, not really.” Aaron responded to JJ’s question. At the same time, Spencer asked the waiter for a fork, causing everyone to snicker. Leila grinned, shaking her head at the boy’s actions.
“Did you know that experts credit Confucius with the advent of the chopstick?” Spencer began again with his facts. “He equated knives with acts of aggression.”
Derek laughed, holding the chopsticks up. “You don't know how to use them, do you?”
“It's like trying to forage for dinner with a pair of number two pencils.” Spencer answered and the table burst out laughing.
“Okay, here let me help you.” JJ said, taking Spencer’s chopsticks out of his hands to wrap a rubber band around it.
“Oh, the rubber band trick.” Derek smirked.
“Yeah, the rubber band trick.” JJ smiled.
Derek went back to the initial conversation.“Well, New York City cops do have a lot of pressure on them. Every move they make gets scrutinized.”
“One of the first cases of criminal profiling happened when a New York City cop asked a criminal psychiatrist friend to help with the Mad Bomber case.” Gideon stated.
“The Mad Bomber was a major inspiration for the Unabomber. He eluded cops in New York for 16 years, starting in 1940, but he kept his promise and never set off a single bomb during the Second World War.” Spencer said.
Gideon continued. “Psychiatrist James Brussels, he developed a profile so accurate, he predicted that when they caught the Bomber, he'd be wearing a double-breasted suit and it would be buttoned.”
Elle chuckled, looking around. “You guys, we're here in New York and even when we're not talking about our case, we end up talking about another profiler.” They all mumbled in agreement, while Aaron spoke up.
“You're right.” He turned to look at her. “So, Elle, are you seeing anyone?”
Derek laughed, almost choking on his food. Leila smirked, sipping on her glass of water before she caught Elle’s eye, winking at her. Elle’s face grew red and she looked away, her eyes set on the food on her plate. Derek continued to chuckle even as Elle changed the topic. “Uh, Gideon, why didn't you tell the cops that it might be one of their own?”
“If we're gonna catch the guy, we need all the help the cops can give us.” Gideon answered honestly. “Last thing I wanna do is accuse one of them of murder.” Suddenly, his phone began to ring, which he picked up a second later. “Gideon.”
“How's it going there?” JJ nodded her head towards Spencer, who still seemed to be struggling.
“Awesome.” Spencer said sarcastically. “It's absolutely incredible, 1.3 billion people stay nourished using these things.”
Leila clapped to tease him, grinning. “Yay, Spencer! You’re doing it!” Spencer rolled his eyes but smiled, anyway.
Gideon mumbled something back into the phone before ending the call, his face rid of all the joy that was there only thirty seconds ago. “He just took out a cop-killer.” He said, causing everyone to look up and their smiles to fade.
Leila’s mouth opened before she shut it back closed. She let out a deep breath, losing her appetite altogether. The team quickly finished what they could and paid the bill, leaving the restaurant, and headed back to the PD.
After lots of new information, they were able to locate the unsub who was currently inside the most recent victim’s apartment. Gideon had called them to ensure they were safe, but as soon as he heard a gunshot over the phone, the team quickly rushed to the apartment.
Leila geared up, wearing her bulletproof vest as she, Aaron, and Gideon were ready to enter the building. There were police cars and ambulances surrounding the complex, sirens blazing into the air.
The three held their guns up in front of them as they made it to the door, hearing the unsub screaming at the victim’s wife to shut up. Gideon was the first one to walk inside, with Leila and Aaron following. Leila slowly put a hand in front of the wife, backing her away from the unsub and her husband on the floor.
Gideon tried to calm the unsub down, speaking to him to try and get him to release the gun in his hands. Leila’s gun was still pointed at him. “You’re hearing voices, right?” She asked him, trying to get through to him.
“They always lie.” The unsub, Marvin, said. “If he dies, they'll go away.”
Aaron spoke with his fierce gaze set on him. “What do you think, they won't come back? Waverly, Iowa, 1999. A man kills two boys, only to walk away free and kill another one.”
“Stop.” Marvin mumbled.
Gideon continued. “Haskins, Georgia, last year. Three white guys. Three white guys kill a black teenager, just because. Four witnesses see it, the jury finds them not guilty, just because.”
“The first two boys were 14 years old.” Leila added, noticing that it was working. “The third was only 12.”
“Shut up!”
“It doesn't stop.” Leila kept going. “Diallo, Blake, Simpson, T. Cullen Davis.”
“You can't kill fast enough to keep up.” Gideon finished.
Marvin started to cry. “They killed my parents.”
“I know.” Gideon responded.
“I'm so tired.”
“Marvin, listen to me.” Gideon put his hands up, his gun already on the ground long before. “Why don't you just give me the gun, and I promise you, I will get you a place to rest.”
It was only a few seconds but Marvin put the victim onto the ground, beginning to rise up from the floor to give the gun to Gideon. However, at the last second, Aaron shot him.
Leila silently huffed out a breath, looking at Aaron who slowly lowered his gun. He didn’t look at her but called for the ambulance to come up. They heard the medics rushing inside and began to take away both the victim and the unsub, with the wife by the former’s side.
Leila, Aaron, and Gideon walked out of the building, watching as the ambulance took them away. She pursed her lips as she walked towards Elle, Derek, and Spencer. Aaron walked behind her, but he was extremely quiet.
She didn’t have any words to say. She felt her headache return and she silently winced, rubbing her temples. The loud noises of people conversing and the sirens blasting only made it worse.
She turned around to see Aaron’s gaze on the apartment. She tapped him on the shoulder, making him look at her. “I’m ready for that break.” She declared, crossing her arms. Aaron only nodded, but no words seemed to form.
Returning home, her headache seemed to increase. She grabbed her bag and shoved all of her files inside. Though she was taking a break, she knew that the paperwork would have to get done, somehow.
She exited her office and walked over to Aaron’s, who was sitting at his desk filling out more paperwork. She knocked on his door and he muttered a quiet, “come in.” She walked inside, waiting for him to look up.
“Take a week off.” He told her, knowing how difficult it was for her to balance between work and her personal life. “I don’t want to see you here until next Monday. No offense.”
She shrugged, laughing. “None taken. I don’t think I have the energy to see any of you for the time being, anyway.” She turned around to leave, but stopped. “I think you should take a break soon.”
He furrowed his eyebrows. “I can’t.”
“Why? Just because you’re the Unit Chief?” Leila asked, shaking her head. “Bullshit, Aaron. You tell me that I’m overworking myself? Look at you.”
“I…” Aaron sighed. “It’s not that easy. There’s too much to be done and I feel selfish for taking a break when I know there’s no actual emergency.”
Leila raised an eyebrow. “So, what? Unit Chief’s don’t deserve breaks unless they have an emergency? That is the stupidest thing I’ve heard.” Aaron stayed quiet but his eyes were still on her. “You deserve to be at home with Haley and Jack. Just because you don’t have an emergency doesn’t mean you can’t take a break.”
When he still didn’t say anything, Leila sighed. Her eyes landed on the photo on his desk, a picture with him, Haley, and Jack.
“I’ll see you in a week, Aaron. Think about it.” She said, before leaving his office and closing the door behind her.

My Home
Penelope Lewis is the daughter of Poseidon she is my oc and she originally came to camp with Annabeth, Thalia, Luke and Grover. She has been a year round camper for several years until after the first great prophecy happened two years ago.
She has been home for eight months with her mother Cassandra and Stepfather Cal, along with their children Graciela, and Grayson who are Cal's children from his first marriage. All five family members love to surf in their free time. All three kids are on the swim team at their school and Penelope is captain.
"Penelope!" A group of people calls to her while she puts away her books. "Hi everyone," Penelope smiles and waves. "I love your shoes, girl where did you get them?" A girl with dark hair asks. "Oh um, just the Nike store I think," Penelope replies awkwardly. "Penelope you look really good in that top," A guy named Tyler states. "Thanks, Tyler," Penelope says as she throws on a hoodie as Tyler walks away. "The hottest guy in school just complemented you, and you blow him off," Graciela chuckles walking over. "My boyfriend is hotter than him," Penelope replies. "Ah yes the boyfriend who lives in New York, with Tristan Mclean," Greyson says. "He is real," Penelope says as they walk outside and get into Cal's car. Penelope sits in the front seat while the twins sit in the back. "Hey, how was school?" Cal asks. "It was fine," Penelope shrugs. "Just fine, Nellie?" Cal asks. "Mhm, I passed all my classes, and my finals," Penelope says. "Are you excited to spend the summer in Long island?" Greyson asks. "Yeah, my friend Will and his Boyfriend Nico, and Nico's sister Hazel, and her boyfriend Frank, are driving up here from Houston then we're all going up to New York from here," Penelope explains. "Why would they drive from Houston, to Palo Alto, to go to New York?" Cal asks. "Because Nico and Hazel are afraid of flying like I am and they offered to pick me up," Penelope says as Cal parks and everyone gets out of the car. "Anyways, I have to pack, before we go surfing tonight," Penelope mumbles as she rushes in the house and up the stairs and into her bedroom before closing the door. Penelope finds her phone in an airvent. And she immediately calls Leo. "Hey, Mami, how are you?" Leo asks. "I'm good, how are you?" Penelops replies. "I'm loving life, Piper taught us how to surf," Leo says. "I bet I'm better at it than you," Penelope smiles. "I doubt it," Leo teases. "How's your family?" Leo asks. "We're okay," Penelope says. "You okay?" Leo asks. "Yeah, it just doesn't feel like home here, ya know, I've been at Camp for so long I hardly know how to interact with normal kids, as well as my siblings," Penelope explains. "I'm sorry, amour," Leo says. "It's not your fault," Penelope says. "When are you going to camp?" Leo asks. "Will and the others should be here tomorrow afternoon, and it'll take about two days to get to long Island, and probably about another day or so to get to Camp," Penelope explains. "See that's why I like living in New York, it only takes a few hours to get us there, We're leaving tonight so I'll call you again before I turn my phone off," Leo says. "Yeah, please do," Penelope says. "I have to finish packing amour, I'll talk to you later," Leo says. "Okay," Penelope says. "I love you, mami," Leo says softly. "I love you too, baby," Penelope says as Leo hangs up the phone.
Penelope finishes packing and eats dinner with her family and heads back up to her room. "Nell, can I come in?" Graciela asks knocking on the door. "Yeah, of course," Penelope replies. "I'm going to miss you when you leave," Graciela mumbles. "Awe, I'll miss you too honey," Penelope says as she gets up and hugs Graciela. "You'll write to me, won't you?" Graciela asks. "Of course, I will, I'll write to you everyday, if you want," Penelope says as Graciela leaves. Suddenly Penelope hears her phone ring so she grabs it from the Airvent and answers it. "Hello," Penelope says. "Hey, Mami," Leo replies. "Oh hey," Penelope hums laying back down on her bed. "Are you leaving soon?" Penelope asks. "Yeah, I have to go soon, I just didn't want to worry you, if you couldn't reach me," Leo says. "Mhm, I love you, be safe, don't die please," Penelope chuckles. "I love you too, I'll be safe, and I won't die again," Leo replies. "You be safe too, alright," Leo adds. "I will, send my love to Jace and Piper," Penelope replies. "I love you," Penelope says. "I love you too," Leo says as he hangs up the phone.
The next day, Penelope grabs her suitcase and sits in the large SUV that Will Solace was driving and Penelope tosses her stuff in the trunk and sits next to Hazel. "Hey, cutie, how are you?" Hazel asks kissing her cheek. "I'm good, how are you?" Penelope says. "I am so glad that we get to do this," Hazel smiles. "Do what Hazel?" Will asks. "Drive across America with a few of my favorite people," Hazel says. "Everything has changed so much since I was younger as well," Hazel adds. "Well unfortunately we won't be able to stop much since we don't want to attract to much attention," Will says. "Please tell me you brought at least one weapon," Frank says. "Of course I did, it's not my first day as a demi," Penelope chuckles. "Oh, how's Leo, Piper, and Jason?" Frank asks. "They're good, they left last night, so their phones are off," Penelope mumbles. "You seem upset," Nico notices. "It's nothing," Penelope says as she shakes her head. "What's wrong, Nell?" Frank asks. "You know you can trust us," Hazel adds. "Leo loves his new school, he everyday talks about how he fits in, how he loves his new friends and I'm just having a hard time fitting in, because I never really interacted with anyone my age until like last year," Penelope explains. "I mean until they died my best friends were Silena and Charles, who are what four years older than me," Penelope adds. "Nell, you're never going to be like those other kids, you're never going to be able to socialize like the other kids," Will says. "Gee thanks Will, you're about as helpful as Calypso," Penelope remarks. "I was a year round camper too, I get it Penelope, you'll just have to learn how," Will says.
Several hours later almost everyone falls asleep. "Hey Will, does living with your mom ever feel surreal? Like you don't belong there even if it's your home?" Penelope whispers. "Houston is not my home, don't get me wrong, I love my ma, but home can be wherever you make it, not just where your biological family is," Will says. "Thanks Will," Penelope says before falling asleep.
The next morning they stop and get some breakfast. "I'm tired of the front, do one of you want it?" Nico asks. "I'll take it," Frank says. "We only have like twelve more hours before we get there, so we'll probably stop again for lunch and likely breakfast tomorrow," Will says. "Hello, would you kids like a picture?" A woman asks. "No thanks," Will says. "Are you sure?" She asks. "Yeah, were okay," Will repeats. Suddenly the woman starts humming. "Okay, that is weird, we're gonna go lady," Penelope says as the group follows her to the car. "So, what was that?" Will asks. "A siren, I'm assuming," Penelope says. "But we're nowhere near an ocean," Frank replies. "Yeah, it's weird, but the can live in lakes, especially if they sense heroes," Penelope explains.
After a few more hours Hazel suddenly perks up. "Oh Piper suggested we play this game, we already played on the way to get you, so it's your turn," Hazel smiles. "Okay, what's this game?" Penelope asks. "So, you name everything you love about your partner, and then you name everything you're not so fond of about him," Frank explains. "Okay, how much detail do I need to go into?" Penelope asks. "As much or as little as you want, the interesting part is seeing who here is most in like or love with their partner," Hazel smiles. "Alright, whose winning so far?" Penelope asks. "Well, Frank and Will are tied for first and Hazel is in second, and I'm third," Nico explains. "Ah, it's alright you're losing I know you love me Sunshine," Will teases. "Shut up," Nico says rolling his eyes. "Okay, start talking about Leo," Hazel says. "I mean the first thing that comes to mind is how considerate he is, that is easily his best quality, I mean we only had our first real conversation because he was worried I'd catch a cold sitting out in the rain, he went back to Ogigya to get Calypso off her island because he said he would," Penelope chuckles. "I mean don't get me wrong I'm mad at him for not saying anything after he faked his death but he keeps his promises, to everyone because it's important to him," Penelope says. "Leo is a hopeless romantic, he plans the sweetest dates for us, he gave me my blue pocket knife in a ring box on one knee, like a total dork, a really cute dork, he can be a bit clumsy but it's adorable because he has this stupid sideways grin he does when he does something dumb," Penelope smiles.
------------------------------------------------------Piper, Jason, and Leo are having a sleepover in Jason's cabin. Piper gets snacks with Jason while Leo makes smores. "Leo, do you want to play a game?" Piper asks as they sit down and eat. "Sure," Leo says. "Okay, so, you're going to just talk about all of the things you like about Penny, until you run out of things to talk about," Piper says. "Okay, not that I won't but what's the point?" Leo replies. "Well, normally you play it with other people and see who has the most nice things and mean things to say, but there's only three of us," Jason says. "My favorite thing about her is her laugh, I could hear it forever, the first time I heard her laugh I knew that I wanted to make her laugh and smile forever," Leo starts. "She is very touchy, I used to not like people touching me, but from her, it's okay, it's not just okay, I love it, I don't think I would be able to live without her hugs, or when she knows I've been working too much she'll rub my back, or occasionally give me a massage," Leo says.
"He's incredibly funny, mostly he did make fun of me for like a solid week for threatening Calypso, but she deserved it," Penelope says.
"She is the most understanding person I know, she doesn't care what I do, unless it has to do with Calypso, but that's fair," Leo says.
"And he is so smart, he puts together these machines that I could never be able to figure out, he only put a voice override on Festus because I can't figure out his remote," Penelope says.
"She has these gorgeous blue eyes, I could look in them forever, I look at them and I just know, as long as I'm with her I'm okay," Leo smiles.
"And his eyes, they are the prettiest brown eyes, if you look closely you can see a little bit of red in them," Penelope says.
"I love her so much,"
"I love him so much,"
Penelope smiles to herself for a moment as the others in the car awe around her. "You two are so sweet," Hazel says. "Do I win?" Penelope asks. "I miss him, a lot," Penelope adds. "We can tell," Nico teases. "Oh hush," Penelope replies.
"I need sleep so we're going to pull over for a few hours," Will says pulling into a hotel. "Oh! Do we get to sleep in the hotel?" Hazel asks. "Yeah, I think we have enough, I think we'll oh be able to afford two rooms though, so I guess me, Neeks and Frank will have one and the girls can have the other," Will suggests. "Yay! We can have a sleepover!" Hazel squeals and hugs Penelope. "Yay, sleepover!" Penelope smiles. "Alright come on," Will says. Hazel ends up holding Penelope's hand all the way up to their room on the tenth floor. While the boys were on the third floor. "This is going to be so fun!" Hazel says as the sit on the bed. "What do girls in this generation do at sleepovers?" Hazel asks. "Um, we could have a pillow fight," Penelope suggests. "Okay! How do we do it?" Hazel asks. "We hit each other with a pillow, until one of us gives up," Penelope explains. "Too violent, what else?" Hazel asks. "We could braid each other's hair," Penelope says. "Can! We build forts out of blankets!" Hazel squeals. "Sounds fun," Penelope says.
The girls build a large fort from the entire hotel room and the bathroom. And fall asleep. The next morning, Will, Frank and Nico knock on the girls' door. "Nell, Hazel, can we come in? It's time to go," Will says. "I don't hear them, I'm using the key," Nico says. Nico opens the door with the key. "What the hell," Nico mumbles seeing the fort. "Girls are you in here?" Frank asks. "They're probably still asleep," Will says crawling into the fort being followed by Frank and Nico. The guys laugh seeing the girls passed out asleep. "Hazel, Penelope, get up!" Will laughs. "Hm what?" Penelope mumbles. "It's time to go already?" Hazel asks sitting up. "Yeah, we need to go," Frank says. "Nell it's time to go," Nico says. "Okay, fine I'm up," Penelope mumbles.
They get back in the car and continue driving. They finally get to long Island and start walking up to halfblood hill. "I'm so glad to be here! I haven't been here in forever," Hazel smiles. "It's been like three months," Nico says. "Still, it's been awhile," Hazel smiles as the pass Thalias former tree and into the barrier of camp. Penelope goes into her Cabin and quickly puts away her clothes and immediately runs into Cabin 9. "Hey, Penelope," Nyssa says. "Hey, Nyssa, is Leo around?" Penelope asks. "Yeah, he's been here for a few days, but he's working on a very important new project, and he really needs to focus," Nyssa explains. "Okay, if he gets a minute, tell him I'm here," Penelope says. "Sure," Nyssa nods as Penelope walks out. "Hey, Nell, how are you?" Piper asks. "I'm good, other than The fact that I've been in a car for the last two days," Penelope chuckles. "Have you seen Leo since you've been here?" Piper asks. "No, Nyssa said he's working on a new project, and he can't be distracted," Penelope explains. "Ah, that's rough, but he's got to come out at some point," Piper says. "Yeah I guess," Penelope shrugs.
Penelope still hasn't seen Leo by dinner time. So, she goes into the forge and sees Leo working on something. "Surprise!" Penelope squeals as she hugs Leo from behind. "Hey, amour, Nyssa told me you were here," Leo says as he turns around and kisses Penelope's lips. "What're you doing here?" Leo asks. "I haven't seen you all day," Penelope says. "And I know that you've been working all day, but I wanted to see you," Penelope says. "Mhm, I'm sorry amour, but I really need to finish my project, I'm so close to being done," Leo says. "Oh um okay," Penelope mumbles. "I'll see you later," Penelope adds as she walks away. "Yeah, okay, bye," Leo says as he continues Working. Penelope goes into her Cabin as she feels nauseas. She sits in front into the toilet in her bathroom while panting and hyperventilating and crying.
A few minutes later Nyssa walks into the forge. "Hey, was Nell in here?" Nyssa asks. "Yeah, I asked her to leave because I really want to finish her gift for her," Leo says. "You asked her to leave?" Nyssa asks. "Yeah, she understood," Leo says. "Did she understand or did she leave?" Nyssa asks. "What's the difference?" Leo asks. "You should go check on her," Nyssa suggests. Leo walks to cabin three and knocks on the door. "Amour, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings," Leo says. "Nell?" Leo adds. Leo slowly walks into the cabin. Leo hears gagging and crying from the bathroom. "Penelope, is that you? Can I come in?" Leo asks. "L-leo?" Penelope sobs as be comes in. "What's wrong?" Leo asks as Penelope leans over the toilet and gags. Leo quickly pulls her hair back. "You don't care about me. All you care about is your stupid project," Penelope sobs. "Of course I care about you, mami," Leo says as he gently pulls Penelope onto his lap. "My stupid project is a gift for you, I'm not great with people, I didn't mean for it to sound like I didn't want you around," Leo says as Penelope gags again. "So, I'm d-dying for no reason?" Penelope gags. "You're not dying, you're having a panic attack, amour," Leo coos. "No no no, I'm dying, Leo," Penelope sobs. "No you're not, mami, you're having a panic attack," Leo says pulling her away from the toilet and leaning against his chest. "Deep breaths, match my breathing, amour," Leo says as he takes deep breath. Penelope starts breathing slowly. "There you go, nice and slow," Leo says. "I could've said nice and deep but I didn't want you to think we're doing something else," Leo chuckles as Penelope lets out a small laugh. "There, isn't that better," Leo says as Penelope starts calming down. "Do you wanna go lay on your bed?" Leo asks. "Yeah," Penelope says. Leo picks Her up bridal style and carries her to the bed. "I could've walked," Penelope mumbles. "I know," Leo says as they lay down and Penelope lays her head on his chest. "I'm sorry, that I made you feel bad," Leo says. "No, no, I'm sorry, I made you feel bad, and you ruined my surprise, all because I felt bad," Penelope says. "It's not your fault, I should have spent time with you when I knew you got here, but I did miss you a lot though," Leo says. "I missed you too," Penelope says. "It's not completely done yet, but do you want to see your surprise?" Leo asks. "I do, actually," Penelope says.
Leo and Penelope walk into the Hephaestus Cabin. "I'm going to cover your eyes as we walk alright," Leo smiles. "Okay, sure," Penelope says. Leo takes her into the underground tunnels and after walking for what seems like a long time Leo takes her into a room. The room had large lettering which read "My Family" with a ton of pictures all around the walls. "Okay, you can look now," Leo smiles uncovering Penelope's eyes. Penelope gasps and looks at each of the pictures. "Leo, you did all of this for me?" Penelope asks. "Of course I did, the last thing that I was going to finish was labeling the pictures by their cabin because there each organized by Godly Parent," Leo explains. "I think it's perfect, actually, I have a few pictures for you to hang up for me, if you don't mind," Penelope smiles. "Yeah absolutely," Leo says. Penelope takes out her wallet from her pocket and hands Leo several pictures. "Wow, these are pretty old, they are turning yellow practically," Leo hums. "Can I look at them?" Leo asks. "Mhm," She nods watching Leo look through the pictures. "Aw who is this stud living in your wallet?" Leo asks showing her a singular picture. "That is Charles Beckendorf, but there is a picture of you in there," Penelope smiles. "Ah yes the man that started the Cabin nine curse," Leo smiles. "Who is this?" Leo asks holding up a picture of two girls both carrying bows and had beautiful blue feathers into their hair. "That's Bianca Di Angelo, and Zoe Nightshade, they were both Hunters," Penelope says. "Is this you?" Leo asks holding up a picture of a little girl getting her hair braided by Grover and Annabeth. "Yeah, it is, and Grover and Annabeth," Penelope explains. "This is Luke right?" Leo asks. "Mhm, its insane how much he looks like Jason," Penelope says. "I have an idea, can we rearrange some of the pictures?" Penelope adds.
Several hours later the wall had even more pictures and t had taken up the entirety of two walls. The wall on the right from the door had a beautiful lettering that read "My Family," with pictures of almost everyone dead or alive who attended camp with Penelope for any length of time. While the wall parallel from the door had lettering that read "My Home," This wall had pictures of Will, Thalia, Annabeth, Percy, Conner and Travis Stoll, Grover, Graciela, Greyson, her mother, Cal, Poseidon, Luke, Silena, Drew, Bianca, Zoe, Piper, Jason, Nico, Reyna, Frank, Hazel, Charles, Ethan Nakamura and in the center of it all a picture of Leo and Penelope hugging, and of course Festus is in the background.
Leo and Penelope were lying underneath the stars in the strawberry fields. "I love you Leonidas Sammy Valdez," Penelope hums as she looks at the stars. "I love you Penelope Arion Lewis," Leo replies. "Isn't that the name of the Horse?" Leo asks. "Oh just shut up," Penelope smiles pulling Leo by the shirt to kiss his lips.

"Wow. This is the most delicious thing I have ever eaten in my life. Why I didn't know you before?" Garcia asked Ana, who gave her a shy smile. "How did you say this dish was named?"
"Carbonada," Ana replied.
"Delicious. Marvelous. Boy genius, you can't let her disappear from your life again," this time Garcia told Spencer, who rolled his eyes.
Ana and Spencer thought it would be harder to convey a convincing story about how they knew each other and why Ana was living at Spencer's right now. But Ana quickly explained that when she moved to DC, she did it with her boyfriend, and just two weeks ago, he kicked her out of their shared apartment. That's why Spencer offered a place to stay until she could find a new one. It seemed enough to Penelope, and now she was more interested in convincing Ana to trade some cooking lessons for cocktails with the BAU girls.
Ana said she had no problem with the lessons, but the cocktails weren't necessary.
"Of course it is! Food and alcohol are best friends. And the girls will love you. JJ and Tara are so sweet, and Emily is so funny. She has a lot of stories to tell. And! We can tell you some about this boy too," Garcia alluded to Spencer.
"Now I don't think it's a good idea," Spencer voiced this time. Ana laughed. She liked Garcia although her bubbly personality. It reminded her a bit of Sarah.
"It's the best idea, Reid," Penelope decided. "Oh! You have to come to Rossi's the next Saturday," she blurted then.
Ana looked at Spencer in confusion, who almost choked sipping his water.
"Garcia, I don't think it is a good idea. Rossi doesn't even know-" he started, but Penelope cut him off.
"I bet he would love the idea! And don't be rude, Reid. Are you going to leave this poor girl alone on a Saturday night? She needs to have fun after what her asshole ex-boyfriend put her through," Penelope scolded, hitting Spencer's arm.
"Thanks for the worry, guys, but I think I can manage myself," Ana assured, but Garcia wasn't having anything of it.
"Honey, I know you can! I don't have any doubts. But you don't have to do it alone. Not when there are many sweet people - and by sweet people, I mean us - who can help."
Maybe it wasn't a good idea to argue with her. Ana thought about that, peeking at how flustered Spencer looked. So she went with a smile and nodded in appreciation.
Later they would think of something to do about it.
After Penelope left, Spencer did the dishes as Ana tidied the table, putting everything in place. As Ana set the last few glasses in the sink, Spencer made his first comment of the night.
"Thank you. I know Garcia could be a bit intense, but I didn't feel okay leaving her going home alone tonight," he explained.
"I don't mind. Spencer, this is your place, and she's your friend. If anything, I think it's very sweet of you. However, we didn't think this through. I mean, about the chances of running into your coworkers or relatives," Ana voiced, grabbing a dishtowel to help Spencer.
"You're right. You did pull it this off pretty well, though."
"By now, you must think I'm a pathological liar,” she scoffed, piling the dry plates over the counter.
"I know you are not. These are what we might call compelling circumstances,” Spencer corrected.
"They are, in fact. I'm sorry we couldn't openly celebrate your mom getting her place in the clinical trial, though,” Ana lamented, due to it being the idea of dinner in the first place.
"Uhm. Yeah. Although, if I remember correctly, I think some wine is left in that bottle,” Spencer pointed casually, turning off the tap and grabbing the end of the dishtowel Ana was using to dry his hands. She chuckled, amused by Spencer’s suggestion.
"What a coincidence I have two glasses here," Ana added, grabbing them from the drying rack.
Almost two full weeks have passed since Ana settled into Spencer's apartment. They didn't have the interview date yet, but they diligently used the time they both coincided to study.
Although the term ‘study’ might not often be seen as such. More than once, Ana or Spencer strayed from the topic, and they ended up chatting about anything.
It didn’t matter, though. They have been feeling comfortable talking with each other. Not to mention the roommate thing has been working fine for them—a routine they are getting used to. Spencer calls or texts Ana when he has to leave for a case; Ana calls when she has changed shift or will not make it to the apartment for the night. They coordinate when they need to buy something at the grocery store. And the meals now are not only take-outs.
Today was officially Diana's settlement in the new facility. Spencer had picked her up from the former sanatorium to Fogarty’s yesterday, but it was late, and Fogarty wasn’t there to welcome them properly. He insisted Spencer bring his wife the next day. That means Ana would meet Diana for the first time.
“What did you tell your mom?” Ana asked as they drove to Diana’s new facility.
“Half of the truth. We’re colleagues, and we have an undercover assignment where everybody needs to believe we are married. She doesn't know details, though.”
“And she accepted it without further explanation?” Ana asked in disbelief. Spencer shrugged, his eyes not leaving the road.
“She knows me enough to understand things could be weird in my life sometimes. Especially in my job,” he explained too casually to Ana’s liking.
“What a relief,” she pointed, gazing outside the window at how the buildings passed by.
Once they got there, Fogarty was waiting for them. He told them Diana was already in the yard.
“Hey, Mom,” Spencer called when she was at his sight.
“Spencer! Honey. I thought you would be here later,” Diana said, standing to hug him. Then her eyes trailed to Ana.
“Dear. No time to see, uh?” Diana greeted her, and Ana could feel the intensity of Diana’s gaze, analyzing her from head to toe, but her eyes were soft and kind. It was a rare contrast, Ana thought.
“Diana. It’s nice to see you,” Ana nodded at her, hoping her nervousness could go unnoticed.
Spencer tried to break the awkwardness.
“And how did you sleep, Mom?”
“Good. I really don't see much difference between this and the other place, though. Only God knows why you brought me here,” Diana said unamusedly. Fogarty intervened this time.
“Well, as long as you feel comfortable, that's all that matters. And speaking of your stay here, I'd like to review a few things with you,” he prefaced.
Fogarty explained the visitation regime and how the care plan would work. He had previously agreed with Spencer not to inform Diana of all medication changes but as they occurred.
Diana Reid seemed unperturbed by what Dr. Fogarty explained; she was more interested in seeing how Spencer didn't let go of Ana's hand and how he played with her fingers. A knowing smile adorned her face.
“I think that’s all for now. Dr. Reid, can you join me in my office for a moment, though? There are some papers you need to sign.”
Ana’s hold of his hand tightened.
“Don’t worry honey, my daughter-in-law can keep me company,” Diana reassured Spencer with a smug smile. He looked at Ana to see if she was okay with that. There weren’t many options, though. Ana swallowed and nodded to the man, trying to mask her nervousness.
“Okay. I’ll be right back,” he told Ana, giving her a reassuring squeeze on her hand.
Once the men had entered the building, Diana sat on the bench, motioning Ana to the spot next to her. She took that cue to sit down too.
“So friends, uh?”
Of course, Diana would use the opportunity to interrogate her.
“Yeah.”
“And faking a marriage for job reasons,” Diana added, pointing to her wedding band. Ana nodded again.
“Yes, ma’am.”
Spencer’s mom hummed, contemplating her following words.
“I have seen Spencer doing a lot of things for his job. But this? I have to acknowledge my son gets better at surprising me every time.”
So it’s true what Spencer said about his mom knowing how weird his life could be.
“I guess it's the perk of being an FBI agent?” Ana tried to play along.
“Oh honey, don’t deny him credit for it. Not every FBI agent ends up twisting things as Spencer does. But don’t get me wrong. I love my son with my life, even if I can’t fully understand what’s happening in his brain sometimes. But it’s my fault, you know? I can’t even go along with my own brain some days,” Diana exhaled. It was a recognition that pained her, Ana could notice.
“He’s a great guy and loves you so much.”
Diana smiled. She knew that. Maybe her brain plays tricks on her frequently, but she knows Spencer loves her, as she knows the good man he is.
It was nice others could see that too.
“And you seem a great woman,” Diana added, taking Ana’s hand without prompting. The girl’s cheeks flushed.
“I’m a very ordinary person. I wouldn't dream of being compared with Spencer’s achievements.”
“Maybe not, but it doesn't make you less than him. He chose you to do this for a reason.”
“It was just-” Ana was about to explain, but Diana didn't let her continue.
“Work. I know. And I will pretend I believe what Spencer told me about that, but between us? I don’t buy it.” Ana’s face was filled with pure panic now. “Don’t worry, darling. You don’t have to tell me anything. Maybe I can’t remember things, but I do notice. I saw the way you looked at each other. I don’t know what it is, but it hasn’t to do anything with your job. Oh, and did you know Spencer is a germaphobe? I almost forgot it when I saw him holding your hand and toying with your fingers. That reassurance gesture wasn’t fake.”
Ana’s mouth dropped. She wanted to say something, but nothing came up. Ana kept looking at Diana dumbfounded as she patted her hand softly, just in time as Spencer returned to the yard.
“Oh, darling. Just in time. I was about to tell Ana some embarrassing stories about you as a baby,” Diana announced.
“Mom, please. That will have to wait, though; we must leave now,” Spencer said, smiling to Ana.
The ride back to the apartment was silent. Spencer asked Ana if something had happened with his mom. She wondered if it was a good idea to tell him what Diana revealed to her, but what was the point? It would make Spencer nervous, and Ana was sure his mom wouldn't want that. So why did she tell her? It didn't make sense. Also, while Diana Reid knew they were lying, her conclusion wasn't correct. Of course not. It was all a lie. Both the story they told Fogarty and what Spencer told Diana. And they holding hands? A lie too.
“Ana?” Spencer probed again.
“Uhm?”
“I asked if something happened while I was with Fogarty.”
“Uh. Not really. Your mom is adorable, though. She kept me entertained with some old stories.”
Another half-lie. Ana wondered if her life would only be like this from now on.
In the following days, Spencer tried to come up with a plausible excuse for Ana not going to dinner at Rossi's, but Garcia had pestered him all week in such a way refusing would have been worse. Somewhat embarrassed, he told Ana about his failure, and the girl shrugged, sighing.
“I guess I should pick a nice dress, then?”
“I promise I’ll make it up to you. Dinner is up to me next week.”
“That means you’ll cook? God, no. I’ll do it for free,” she teased. Spencer huffed.
“Well, at least I tried, okay?”
That afternoon, at the agreed time, Ana and Spencer arrived at Rossi's house.
“Kid! It’s good to see you. And to you, bella señorina,” Rossi greeted the couple.
“She’s Ana. An old friend of mine from Vegas.”
“Nice to meet you, mister Rossi,” Ana extended her hand, and Rossi gentlemanly kissed the back of it.
“Please, call me David or Rossi. Not mister, I don’t like to feel older than I already am,” he scoffed.
“Okay, David.”
“Fast learner. Very good. Please, come in. The people are in the backyard.”
Spencer looked at Ana before passing the glass doors.
“You okay?” He checked. Ana nodded.
“Yeah. Let’s do it,” the girl reassured him.
“Hey, Reid,” Luke is the first to notice them.
They both made their way to the people gathered around a fire pit.
“Well, guys, I already told you about Ana. Ana, this is Emily, JJ, Will, Tara, Luke, Matt, Kirsty, and you already know Penelope,” Spencer introduced each of his friends.
Indeed, after their encounter with Garcia at the grocery store, Spencer told them about Ana and why he didn’t say anything when they met at the coffee shop. Basically, he repeated the same story they told Garcia before.
As Spencer did the introductions, Ana tried to memorize each name. Spencer told her about them before, although she was sure some names were missing. She made a mental note to ask him later.
“Nice to meet you all,” Ana greeted. “And properly this time,” she now looked at JJ and Luke.
“Yeah. I agree. Our boy genius didn’t want us to know about your existence,” Garcia complained.
“Ana a secas? (Just Ana?)” Luke asked the girl, who smiled.
“No. Actually, is Ana María,” she replied.
“Ah! Latina de tomo y lomo (A Latin girl through and through),” Luke pointed.
“Alguna duda, cariño? (Do you have any doubt about it, honey?).” Ana said playfully.
“Por favor, enséñale a Reid a hablar un español más decente. Lo necesita con urgencia. (Please, teach Reid how to speak better Spanish. He really needs it)” Alvez requested, laughing.
“No hago milagros. (I can’t do miracles).” Ana held her hands' ups, and Luke snorted as the rest of the group looked amused. Spencer’s cheeks flushed a bit, but he chuckled nonetheless.
The group chatted for a while until Rossi announced dinner was served. Ana sat next to Spencer, and during dinner, she struck up conversation with almost everyone. Garcia and Tara were the most enthusiastic.
Fortunately, the team knew little of Spencer's childhood in Vegas, so any inaccuracies Ana might fall went unnoticed.
Despite her previous anxiety, Ana now seemed at ease and open to joking from time to time. Spencer was relieved things were going well, and you could tell he was having fun too.
“So, Ana,” Rossi said once they were eating dessert. “They told me you were an excellent cook.”
Ana shook her head, using the napkin to wipe her lips.
“Me? Oh, no. Only what my mami taught me when I was younger.”
“But I’m sure you are better than the genius here,” Rossi joked. Penelope piped.
“Oh, way better! She made a delicious meal the day I met her. What was called?”
“A carbonada.”
“Carbonara?” Rossi asked, confused.
“It sounds similar, but no. This stew has potato wedges and veggies like pumpkin and green beans. You can add beef if you want,” the girl described. Rossi hummed.
“It sounds delicious. I'd love to try it sometime. If you don't mind, you could be our chef at the next meeting. I'll take care of having everything you could need," Rossi offered.
“Sure. Why not,” Ana agreed. She didn’t think it could be a genuine interest anyway. Why could an Italian millionaire sybarite be interested in such a simple dish?
After the coffee, the group dispersed between the living room and the backyard. Spencer had not left Ana’s side in the evening, but Garcia insisted on having a girl’s talk with her, JJ, Tara, Kirsty, and Emily.
“Will you be okay?” Spencer whispered to Ana before moving to the group with the guys. She smiled appreciatively at him. It was nice having Spencer worry about her being comfortable.
“Yeah. More than okay. Don’t worry about me. I promise not to say anything embarrassing about you,” Ana whispered back, winking at Spencer, who chuckled, shooking his head.
“Oh, thank you for that.” Spencer joked back before walking to the backyard.
Garcia didn't waste time and started planning the next girl’s night, insisting Ana join them. The young woman tried to come up with a plausible excuse, but as Spencer had already told her, it was impossible to say no to Penelope.
“Okay, now we are good with the plan; I need to ask something to our newest member,” Emily announced. Ana frowned.
“I know you said you are old friends, but that makes me wonder if you were Reid’s first.”
“Emily!” JJ scolded. Ana’s cheeks suddenly turned red. She only expected questions about whether they were dating or something like that.
“No. I did not. Why do you think that?” Ana asked defensively.
“I guess Emily noticed the familiarity between you both—a closeness forged by a deep intimacy. It's not rare between old friends, but considering you both lost contact for many years, now you look as if time hasn't been a big issue,” Tara formulated.
“That’s how you do the thing you do for your job, right? Profiling?” Ana asked, sipping her wine and trying to hide the blush on her cheeks.
“Don’t pay attention to them,” JJ intervened. “They only want the gossip.”
“It's not like that!” Garcia chirped. “Well, kind of. But our main concern is our boy. We want him to be happy, and honestly, her last girlfriends didn’t like them that much,” Penelope shrugged. JJ and Tara nodded in agreement.
“Are you talking about that Maeve girl?” Ana asked, almost sure they were talking about her.
“Oh, you know that bitch!” Garcia blurted.
“Garcia,” Emily warned.
“Sorry, boss. But you know what I think of her.”
“But Spencer loves her,” JJ commented.
“I don’t think that’s love,” Tara contraried.
“Do you know her?” Emily asked Ana, who shook her head.
“Dear, I swear you’re way better,” Garcia suggested.
“But I’m not Spencer’s girlfriend, so I’m not in the competition,” Ana stated, sipping her wine again.
“You should be,” Tara mentioned.
Without ever meeting the aforementioned Maeve Donovan, Ana could picture some things about her from Spencer’s story and his friend’s impressions.
“I’m sorry if we are a bit intense about it. It's just we worry about Spence. He has been through a lot in his life. Not to mention doing this job,” JJ explained.
“How is so?” Ana asked with picked curiosity.
“Oh, dear. Our boy genius has been beaten, kidnapped, shot a few times, and a long etcetera,” Penelope described. Ana’s face showed how shocked she felt hearing all of that.
“You are kidding me?” she asked in disbelief.
“I’m afraid we are not,” Emily seconded.
While in the opposite corner, the guys were talking as well.
“She is nice,” Matt pointed, referring to Ana. Spencer’s brow furrowed.
“And very beautiful,” Rossi added, making Spencer blush.
“Not dense at all. And with a great sense of humor,” Will observed, sipping his whisky.
“Not like Maeve,” Luke blurted suddenly.
“Luke? What the hell-?” Spencer was about to complain.
“What? It's true. I’m sorry, man, but that girl? You don't make her laugh even if you had a circus full of clowns,” Alvez complained as Matt, Will, and Rossi snorted.
The evening turned to an end, and one by one, people were saying their goodbyes. It was the cue to Ana and Spencer to go home.
In the cab, Spencer inspected Ana’s face, who was looking out the window.
“Was it terrible?” He asked. Ana turned to see him and smiled.
“Not at all. Quite the opposite. Your friends are fun.”
“I’m glad. They liked you, by the way,” Spencer announced, smiling back. Ana’s cheeks flushed a bit.
“They did? Wow. I’m flattered,” Ana declared, satisfied. Spencer hummed in agreement, and now it was his turn to look out the window.
Ana kept thinking about her conversation with the girls. Something they said bothered her, but she didn't want to seem out of line voicing it.
Bad thing her mouth sometimes didn't follow her brain’s directions.
“Spencer?”
“Yeah?” He turned to see her. Ana cleared her throat.
“Is it true? What they told me about your bad luck in the field?” she asked tentatively. Spencer frowned. He didn't know how much they told Ana about that, but it couldn't be so detailed.
“Well, bad luck is a good way to put it. But yeah, I guess it's true,” he shrugged.
“But you still are doing this job. Why?”
‘Oh, Ana. You don't know where to stop, do you?’ The girl chastised herself, seeing Spencer go silent for a moment.
“Well, this is who I am. I mean, since I was recruited from the Academy. Twelve years by now. I don't know what else I could be, honestly.”
Ana frowned. Spencer saw his answer didn't satisfy her.
“What? You don't believe me?”
“No. I do-”
Before Ana could fully reply, the cab driver announced they had reached their destination. Spencer helped her to descend, grabbing her purse and offering his hand. Once they both were on the sidewalk, Ana resumed her idea.
“I do believe you. It's only- I don't know, for a person who could have chosen anything in this world - I mean, you are literally a genius - you choose this, and it's like you have no choice besides to continue doing it.” Spencer listened to her intently until his eyes darted to his building’s entrance.
“Shit,” he exclaimed. Ana frowned.
“What? Did I say something wrong?”
“Maeve,” the man mumbled, looking in front of him and barely paying attention to Ana. The girl followed his line of sight and located a woman at the entrance of Spencer’s building. Fortunately, the woman was checking her phone, so she didn't see them.
Trembling, Spencer felt the panic in him. Out of instinct, he returned Ana her purse, faster speaking.
“I’m sorry. I’ll take Maeve to another place. You have the apartment key. See you tomorrow.”
And just like that, the man strolled where Maeve was. Ana stayed on the spot, astonished.
“Maeve?!” Spencer called the woman, who lifted her gaze from the phone.
“Spencer! I was texting you right now!”
“Hey! What are you doing here?” he asked, engulfing her in a tight embrace. Maeve reciprocated, quickly shoving her phone in her pocket to wrap her arms around Spencer’s neck and kiss him passionately.
Ana was uncomfortable looking at the scene from a few meters behind. In order not to give the impression of eavesdropping, she reached for her phone, pretending to make a call and looking towards the street. Still, she could hear what Spencer and Maeve were talking about.
“Why can we go upstairs?”
“I didn’t tell you. I’m painting the place, and it’s a mess. Let’s go to your hotel,” Spencer offered to what Maeve didn’t argue. Hand in hand, the couple walked in the same direction Ana was. Ana still was focused on her phone, but from the corner of her eye, she saw Spencer and Maeve get a cab.
With the coast clear, Ana could now stride into the building.
Ana didn't quite know what bothered her the most. If the quick way in which Spencer left her in the middle of the sidewalk, the excitement on his face to see Maeve, or the boldness of that woman to show up without even calling first.
Being any of them, Ana knew it was irrational to get upset about it.
Moreover, Spencer perfectly could have told her to fuck off so he could go upstairs with her girlfriend.
‘Why do you keep thinking about it?’ Ana wondered, grabbing a glass and pouring herself some wine.
Something left her with a bitter taste. After the fun dinner they had with Spencer's friends, it all ended abruptly. In fact, when they were talking about something important.
‘Stop it, Ana, you're meddling in things that aren’t your business,’ she scolded herself. And although the BAU girls’ words lingered in her head, Ana knew she couldn’t do anything about it. It's not her place.
Spencer didn’t return that night, nor did the next day. That Sunday, Ana did sleep until noon and got immersed in the novel she was reading during the afternoon.
Spencer wanted to apologize to Ana for how rudely he had left her that night on the sidewalk. But when he got home on Sunday night, she was already preparing for bed in her room.
They didn’t talk Monday morning either; Spencer left for his job early and was called in a case for the rest of the week.
Sarah knew about the coming interview with Immigration. She knew Ana was living in Spencer's apartment, too. But whenever she asked the girl about it, Ana would say everything was fine and change the subject quickly. Although, Sarah could tell how absentminded her colleague was some days. She wondered why.
“The doctor is out of town?” Sarah asked one afternoon during their break. That day Ana seemed especially distracted.
“Uh? Yeah,” was her short answer, still focused on the crossword in front of her.
“Are things good with him?” Sarah tried again.
“Yeah, they are.” Same reaction from the girl, who filled the empty squares with a newfound word.
“You miss him,” Sarah affirmed casually.
“I do,” Ana replied, not realizing what she had said until the words left her mouth. At that moment, she trailed her gaze from the newspaper to Sarah, who sported a smirk on her face.
“I knew it,” she triumphally exclaimed.
“What?” Ana asked, annoyed.
“You’re falling for him,” her coworker informed. Ana rolled her eyes.
“I’m not!”
“Sure you do. And there is nothing wrong with it!”
“Are you listening to yourself? Firstly, I’m not falling for anyone. Spencer is a nice guy, he’s helping me, and I’m helping him. And secondly, if it was the case, there is everything wrong with it! We are literally strangers and living totally different lives! Sarah, please, gobiérnate un poco, ya? (Slow down and don’t say nonsense, okay?).”
Sarah shook her head but didn’t say anything else to not piss Ana off more. Although Sarah was sure, no one could tell she wasn’t right.
Time will tell, she thought to herself.
That night, Ana was watching TV when she heard the keys jingling in the lock.
As Spencer closed the door behind him, Ana turned to see him.
“Hello to you,” she joked, but the smile on her face faltered when she realized the frustration radiating from Spencer.
“Hi,” he barely said, hanging his coat and satchel on the rack. Ana watched as he slowly moved—heavy footsteps on the hardwood floor.
“Can I ask what happened to you?” Ana asked tentatively.
Spencer sighed. “I don’t know if I want to talk about it.”
“Okay, you don’t have to,” Ana conceded.
“Thank you. I guess I better go straight to bed,” he announced. Ana could have let him go, but she was worried.
“There is some dinner left if you didn’t eat,” she commented. Spencer shrugged.
“I’m not hungry,” he dismissed. It was a lie, though. Since the jet touched land that afternoon, his stomach has been grumbling nonstop. But he only wanted to sleep to stop thinking about his day.
Spencer was about to walk down the hall to his room when Ana spoke again.
“You know what? Stop right there,” she commanded. Spencer did so, brows furrowed, turning to see Ana standing from the couch. “You don’t have to tell me anything. But you can't go to bed before eating and relaxing a bit. So, come and sit here.”
Spencer was confused. He didn't doubt Ana’s good intentions, but she had never been this forward in the almost month of living together.
But Spencer was so tired and jaded that he had no energy to fight. Silently he returned to the sofa and plopped down as Ana went to the kitchen to heat some food. She came back quickly and handed him a tray with dinner. Plopping down next to him, Ana grabbed the remote from the coffee table.
“You ready?” she asked excitedly.
“For what?” Spencer asked, chewing a mouthful of pasta.
“Look what I found...” Ana grinned, pressing play. A very young Neil Patrick Harris dressed like a medical doctor was displayed on the screen. Spencer cocked an eyebrow.
“Wait a minute. It this-?”
“Yes! A Doggie Howser re-run!” Ana confirmed, clapping her hands like a child.
‘Oh God, what have I gotten myself into,’ Spencer thought. But whatever it was, with the girl sitting by his side, it could be nothing wrong.

Sicktember #6
Prompt: Sick and Injured
Fandom/OCs: Criminal Minds (Morgan and Garcia)
Words: 900
Sicknario inspo: Leisure sickness from this post and sickness with injury from this post (by me)
Author’s comments/background: Wasn’t thrilled about the characterization on this one, but it was my best attempt. Garcia and Morgan have such a unique relationship, somewhere in the gray zone between siblings and lovers. But Derek is the perfect victim of leisure sickness and Penelope would never let anyone besides her take care of him. Also, the ending feels kinda awkward, but I struggled so hard trying to think how to end it. Hope you enjoy it all the same!
~~~***~~~
His phone rang for the third time in an hour. Derek Morgan groaned as he rolled over to grab it, doing his best not to jostle his right arm too much. Glancing at the screen, he almost let it keep ringing, but he knew he'd pay for that later. Either that or she would just keep calling until he answered.
"Hey babygirl," he sniffled, yawning. "What's up?"
"Aww, did I wake you, sugar?" Penelope Garcia asked.
"I was just trying to nap. Haven't been sleeping well with this thing." Though Garcia couldn't see, he glared at the cast that encompassed nearly his whole right arm as if it had personally affronted him. Which, in a way, it had. He sniffled again and cleared his throat as he shifted, trying to get more comfortable.
"Poor thing. Well, I was just calling to check on you. I told you I would call you every day until your beautiful face is back in the office so you wouldn't forget about me.
"Silly girl, you know I could never forget about you," he murmured, a smile now warming his voice.
"Well of course I'm unforgettable. But you can never be too careful," she giggled. "How are you feeling?"
"Okay. Tired, like I said." He coughed fittishly, clearing his throat with a wince.
"Hey, hey, what's with all this sniffling and coughing? Don't tell me you're sick, too?"
"Maybe a little. Started feeling like I was coming down with something yesterday. My first week off in months and I get sick. Just my luck."
"Oh no, my sweetheart," Garcia said, sympathy coloring her tone. "You break your elbow and still manage to get sick even after every single person on the team gave you strict orders to stay home. You really don't do anything halfway, do you?"
"That's why you're crazy about me, don't lie," he chuckled, coughing softly.
"Oh my dear, that's only one of many, many things that make you irresistible to me. Do you need me to bring you anything to help you feel better?"
"Nah, I think I'm all set. Thanks, sweetness."
"It will always be my pleasure, darling. You take care and rest up so you can get back here. We all miss you already."
"Will do. Talk to you later."
"Bye bye."
~~~
Derek was napping again, this time in the easy chair, when a knock at the door woke him late that evening. Supporting his right arm with his left, he shuffled to the door, grumbling around his yawns. He was prepared to send whoever it was packing, but upon seeing Penelope grinning at him, her bright hair glowing in the porch light, he could only grin back.
"And just what do you think you're doing here?" he asked, leaning against the door frame. He was surprised to hear that his voice was nearly gone. He hadn't had to speak in several hours.
"Coming to rescue you, of course. I can't let you be sick and hurting and all alone when I'm just across town."
"You really are something else," he chuckled, which of course became a cough.
"Honey, you have no idea. Now are you gonna let me in or what?"
He stepped side with a little bow and a sniffle so she could enter, ushering her in with his good arm. She curtsied as she passed. She moved to close the door before he could, though, shooing him away from the cold draft.
"Go sit back down. I’ll take it from here. I've got everything you could possibly need."
She was carrying several bags which she placed on the coffee table. As he sat down and tried to get comfortable, she began to dump out everything she'd brought, which included enough food for several meals, a whole pharmacy's worth of medicine, and sick day odds and ends ranging from a stack of books to a heating pad, including a long, thick scarf, which she wasted no time in wrapping around his neck. The color suited him perfectly, and it was very soft, but he gave her an incredulous look as he unwound it immediately.
"What's the point of this thing exactly? Wearing a scarf isn't gonna help when I already have a cold."
"Maybe, maybe not. But I wanted an excuse to see you wear this, and it's even sexier than I imagined," she teased. "Still, you're right. Better save it for later when I can see you wear it out."
He smiled fondly at her as she packed it away and continued to arrange everything else she'd brought. "Thank you for all this, baby. I appreciate it more than you know."
"Aww, I haven't really done anything yet. When you take some of this medicine and start feeling better, then you can thank me."
He took her hand and kissed it. "Just seeing you is making me feel better. So I'm thanking you now."
She flushed and giggled. "Well if I'd known it was that easy, I wouldn't have spent all afternoon shopping for you."
"Yes you would've," he laughed.
"Yeah, you're right. You were going to feel better one way or another, I made sure of it. Just wait until you've tried my famous sick day tea. It's got lots of booze in it."
"Just one more thing for me to look forward to, then.” There was a lot more he wanted to say, but he settled for grinning across the table at her, and of course she grinned right back.

I walk on to the stage. Loud clapping ensues.
Me bowing down: Thankyou! Thankyou!
I sit down on a couch and take a thoughtful position.
Me: Everyday, especially Mondays, I wake up and think "School is fucking horrible" but then I remember that Havenpoint Academy is worse. So here I am with my favourite delinquent from Havenpoint to make me feel slightly better about my own life. Can I hear a cheer for AIDENE RAYNERS!
Aidene runs onto the stage. Everybody screams loudly. Aidene takes the seat in front of me.
Me: How are you doing today Rayners?
Aidene: Well...I tried not to punch somebody but he was too fucking annoying so I ended up kicking him in the stomach. Then he pulled my hair and then my friend attacked him. It was an all out brawl in the school hallway. It felt real good seeing him get hit so many times. So In short I am doing relatively fine.
Me: Damn! Let's not waste any time and get to the questions shall we?
Aidene: Go ahead love.
Me: Are you named after anyone?
Aidene: Naaaah....my name is so fucking unique that typing the words 'Aidene name meaning' on google will show 'Did you mean: Maiden name meaning.
Me: When was the last time you cried?
Aidene: The last day of my old school. It wasn't exactly sad crying though. Don't miss anybody over there.
Me: Do you have kids?
Aidene: Darling...I am still a virgin and a minor by law.
Me: Do you use sarcasm?
Aidene: Not really, that is more of Anne's and Penelope's thing.
Me: What's the first thing you notice about people?
Aidene: Are they rich or not?
Me: What's your eye colour?
Aidene: A deep brown that looks like honey under the summer sun and silver pools of starlight at night. That's how Anne describes it sometimes.
Me: Any special talents?
Aidene: Uh...I can be very very very annoying.
Me: Scary movies or happy endings?
Aidene: I have an over active imagination. I watched 'Lights out' and I felt like somebody was following me whenever I went into some place mildly dark. I couldn't sleep for the next week. So happy endings please.
Me nervously: Where were you born?
Aiden looking at me judgingly: In my mother's womb.
Me: What are your hobbies?
Aidene: I play both acoustic and electric guitar and sing occasionally. I tried my hand at art but it wasn't pretty enough for people. Also *cough* stealing *cough* and *cough* lockpicking *cough**cough*
Me: Do you have any pets?
Aidene: No but this crow comes by my window everyday. I give him food. In return he brings me little trinkets. I named him Corvy.
Me: What sports do you play/have played?
Aidene: I am a pretty decent swimmer and I am really good at running. I have won a couple ice skating competitions too.
Me: How tall are you?
Aidene lay down on the couch diva style and sighs deeply: Woe is me. I am only 5'4 but at least I am not as short as Valentina. She is only 5'2.
Me: Favourite subject at school?
Aidene: I like watching the art students paint from the window while skipping computers. So I like computers.
Me: Dream job?
Aidene: I really don't know....I like mythology so something related to that maybe. Or a musician, that would be cool.
Me: Well that is all we have for today and Aidene I believe you have a trapdoor to open. So until next time....so long farewell and don't die.
Curtains drop.
