Descendants OC time! (so far anyway lol)
(Keep in mind that their profiles aren't entirely finished; some of them I haven't fully developed yet, but this is them in general)
Tumblr media
Penelope (daughter of Pinocchio and Alice) Penelope always smells of wood and paint, and always has fresh sawdust on her apron from carving; she is very artsy and loves sketching and painting, as well as reading books. (Her grandfather Geppetto taught her how to carve when she was younger, and now she loves creating and making things.)
She is much like her father (happy-go-lucky, etc), but she is also mature for her age. She is 14 years old.
She is also a dancer (mainly dances ballet, contemporary, and tap).
Her nickname is Ellie, and her favorite snack is warm cinnamon rolls.

Tumblr media
Sophie (daughter of Stromboli) Sophie is a dancer and a gymnast, and loves performing. Like her father, she has a bit of a temper when she gets angry (but not as much).
She loves listening to music, and she loves wearing blouses. She is 14 years old.
Sophie Pinterest aesthetic board: https://pin.it/7s02Kxm
Tumblr media
Chrissy (daughter of the Coachman) Chrissy and her father are almost polar opposites. She owns a small whip that her father has gifted her, she has vowed to herself never to use it to beat animals (she loves animals and would never treat them cruelly); she only uses it to practice whip-cracking tricks. Her eyes sometimes flash green when she's angry.
She is 15 years old.
Chrissy loves animals; she has taken in a baby donkey, which she has named Posy. (the Coachman was going to leave Posy to die, as he didn't need any more donkeys at the moment; Chrissy started to care for her)
Tumblr media
(Chrissy w/green eyes) ↑
Chrissy Pinterest aesthetic board: https://pin.it/7rClPo2
Tumblr media
Evelyn (daughter of The Blue Fairy) Evelyn is half-fairy, half-human. She is a rebel, and very sarcastic. She provides the dark humor in her friend group. Evelyn is very kind and supportive of her friends, despite being sarcastic. Despite magic not being used in Auradon, she uses her magic often; using her wand made from sapphire.
She is 16 years old, and loves black leather clothing (she thinks they make her look tough and cool); she also loves chocolate
Tumblr media

Petunia (daughter of Lampwick -and Tiger Lily-) Requested/inspired by @casinotrio1965 (shared OC)
Petunia is the young daughter of Lampwick and Tiger Lily. She loves playing pool (and even has a custom billiards cue stick that her father bought for her) and is really good at it. She loves comfy clothes, and her favorite drink is warm ginger tea with honey and lemon.
Petunia's favorite color is lavender, and her second favorite color is green. She loves floral scented candles. (I apologize, I could only find a darker lavender in Gacha and not a lighter one lol)
She also does a bit of yoga as a way to relax and to keep in shape.
She is 14 years old.
Petunia Pinterest aesthetic board: https://pin.it/26PUsAF
Tumblr media
Madelyn Hatter (daughter of the Mad Hatter) Everyone calls her Maddy/Maddie for short. Much like her father, she loves unbirthday celebrations and tea parties, and she's a child at heart. She loves to make her friends smile and help them out on their bad days. Maddy loves peach tea (especially iced teas), and her favorite snacks are jammie dodgers.
Maddy is 15 years old.
In her free time she sometimes likes to practice magic tricks (like card tricks); she's not very good at it though, but she tries anyway.

Tumblr media
Sabrina Skellington (daughter of Jack and Sally Skellington) Sabrina loves practicing scaring tactics; her father teaches her scaring tactics and strategies. She's very confident, and often has her hair tied back in some way, shape, or form.
Her favorite candy is candy canes; she also has pyrokinesis (like her father). She loves Christmas, and it's her favorite holiday.
Sabrina is 15 years old.

Tumblr media
Jacqueline Skellington (daughter of Jack and Sally Skellington) Jackie for short. She is introverted; she is a writer and loves to sketch, and loves reading. Like her mother, Jackie is a very talented seamstress and loves to sew. She also loves to make teas and potions.
She is 15 years old.
She loves wearing sweaters, and occasionally listening to relaxing ASMR.
She totally isn't Sandy Claw's favorite among Jack's kids
Jackie Pinterest aesthetic board: https://pin.it/5kDdJa5
Tumblr media
Sterling Skellington (son of Jack and Sally Skellington) Sterling is 16 years old, and he is on the tourney team at Auradon Prep. He loves modeling men's clothing that Jackie sews (he especially loves the patchwork jacket he received as a Christmas present one year).
Sterling also loves playing some video games, and enjoys attempting to teach Zero new tricks.
Sterling Pinterest aesthetic board: https://pin.it/Di0FV4N
Tumblr media
Bella (daughter of Oogie Boogie) Bella is crazy about anything neon/glow-in-the-dark; like her father, she loves gambling games and risk. (Her favorite game is dominoes)
She loves jazz music, and is a jazz dancer; she loves listening and dancing to show tunes. She also does some theater.
Oogie Boogie has gifted her a pair of dice.
Bella is 15 years old, and is a humanoid with burlap skin (but not filled with bugs, like her father is). Sometimes her friends call her Boogie Boogie.
Bella Pinterest aesthetic board: https://pin.it/MyQTE3p
Tumblr media
Princeton Hoffman (son of Captain Phillip Hoffman/The Nutcracker and Clara Stahlbaum) He is a ballet dancer, and is on the tourney team; he is very strong physically, and athletic. Once Princeton becomes close friends with someone, he becomes very protective of them.
His favorite season is winter; he thinks it's very beautiful and no matter how old he gets, he loves to play in it.
Princeton is 15 years old.

I would love to know more about your Nutcracker and whether you'd introduce things from the book or ballet into a DisneyVerse version
Thanks for your patience anon! Ok, here’s the ideas I have, used some of the look of the live movie cuz I did like the designs for some of it but will be a completely different story, based somewhat on an old story concept I put together with my friend @im-fairly-whitty a few years ago.
Tumblr media
I see it as starting out like your basic Nutcracker ballet story, it’s Christmas, Clara gets a nutcracker from her godfather Drosselmeyer, during the night the mice come in and the nutcracker comes to life to fight them. Mouse King doesn’t die though he gets away and Nutcracker is still a nutcracker and Clara goes with him to the magical candy land of Cockaigne, where there are peppermint trees and lemonade springs and gingerbread houses, usually sans witches. (Basically Barbie Nutcracker Movie set up a bit, but Clara goes as she wants to have an adventure/doesn’t feel appreciated at home, she’s running away.)
They travel thru the war torn candy land and meet the Sugarplum Fairy, the leader of the ‘human/human adjacent army against the—for lack of a better word— vermin army that has been besieging them. The army is made of mice and bugs and other unwanted creatures that over hundreds of years have eaten the magical food that makes up the land and gained sentience and anthropomorphic traits which brought them into conflict with the humans. They are looking for the Krakatuk Crown, a powerful object that could tip the scales of the war. The Sugarplum Fairy takes them to the ruler of Cockaigne, Princess Pirlipat, who says she is the Nutcracker’s fiancé and who wears a mask at all times, the result of a curse placed on her by the Mouse King’s predecessor. She sends them on a quest to find the crown and save the land. Clara and Nutcracker have to find it as the main quest, and along the way we would learn about the Nutcracker and Mouse King’s backstory:
Years ago the Princess Pirlipat was cursed by the Mouse Queen, in revenge for Pirlipat’s parents having caused the death of the Mouse Queen’s seven sons in the war. Pirlipat is cursed into a hideous form that she can only be released by if someone with a true hero’s heart manages to defeat the sorcererous Mouse Queen and places the Queen’s crown of her head. (The crown could be carved from a magical Krakatuk nut to reference the og story and it’s where the queen gets her magic from). The court magician, Herr Drosselmeyer, believes his nephew Andre could be the destined hero and brings him from Our World to Cockaigne.
Andre, who also wanted to escape his old life where he didn’t feel understood and be a hero, undertakes the task of attempting to gain the crown by infiltrating the vermin army, during time he makes friends with the Queen’s one remaining son, Alexander, and comes to see that the vermin army are actually just as ‘human’ as people are and haven’t been treated right. He feels conflicted about his quest, but still determines to steal the crown and be a hero, and maybe once he’s proved himself and married the princess he could start peace talks?
—But of course it all goes horribly wrong. The Mouse Queen ends up being killed, Pirlipat’s curse isnt lifted lifted due to Andre’s not having a true hero’s heart (valuing fame over decency) .The furious Pirlipat tells him she has no use for him now he’s failed, and she will take the crown and use it to destroy all the sentient vermin once and for all.
And Alexander, now king and literally haunted by his dead family’s ghosts (I wanted so bad to have 7 headed Mouse King but I don’t think it could viably by animated so vengeance driven ghost brothers driving him mad it is) swears vengeance on Andre, who in shame runs away, hiding the crown so it can’t be used for any more curses, using it only once to banish the memory of its location and the shameful events from his mind, turning him into a toy, something tossed about by someone else’s will, stagnant, stuck in his shame and guilt. He’s eventually found by his uncle Drosselmeyer in his exile andwhisked away from Cockaigne by his uncle to try and find a new hero to break his self imposed curse, which Drosselmeyer believed he had found in Clara, not because she was inherently destined, but because she had the heart to learn what needed to be learned to find the truth and grow as a person, and help Andre realize he could grow and make things right as well.
Tumblr media
So basically the pair have to grow and realize a true hero means being compassionate and trying to understand those different from you, and doing what’s best for all, not just what will get you fame and glory, rediscover the truth of the Nutcracker’s memories and stop Pirlipat’s genocidal plans and save Alexander from his growing madness (the ghosts are very set on wiping out all the humans as well) and bring true peace to all the people of Cockaigne.
(And Mother Ginger is a good jolly kind person who runs an orphanage for war orphans, and I guess she can have an eyepatch still but yeah she’s like, a symbol of finding hope in hard times and the Sugarplum Fairy isn’t bad either, she’s a victim of Pirlipat’s propaganda and once she realizes that she stops the big attack their gonna do and helps Andre and Clara stop the mad princess and she and her cavalier are a kick-butt power couple who are ridiculously romantic for eachother…anyway rant over xD )

Despite the weak plot, I've always thought the visuals in Disney's The Nutcracker and the Four Realms are utterly gorgeous, and I wanted to create something based on the aesthetics of the Four Realms.

The good stuff!!!
If they had taken even a smidge of inspiration from the fantasy film Mirrormask they could have been onto something.
It absolutely baffles me that The Nutcracker and The Four Realms thought the best way to give Clara’s character a ghost to haunt her narrative was to make Drosselmeyer 2: Mom Edition instead of working with the Drosselmeyer they already had.
It’s not even a genderbend because they’re completely separate characters; Drosselmeyer as himself is also still in the movie! If they just wanted to reimagine Drosselmeyer as a woman that’s fine but why add another Drosselmeyer?
They robbed him of his significance to give it to a character they made up, and then didn’t even have the grace to cut him out of the film once he’d lost his purpose.
The structural editor inside me is screaming.
The movie would’ve been so much less convoluted if, rather than trying to bring Clara’s mom into the story, they’d instead made Drosselmeyer the subject of Clara’s grief.
Imagine:
A shadow hangs over Clara’s Christmastime, due to the recent passing of her beloved mentor-figure. A rift is developing between the mourning Clara and the rest of her immediate family, as she can sense that they aren’t grieving the same way that she is.
But early into the Christmas Eve celebrations, someone unexpected arrives: Drosselmeyer’s nephew.
Drosselmeyer’s nephew is someone whom Clara hasn’t had much to do with, in the past; maybe she’d only seen him in passing, over the years she’s known her mentor, or maybe she’d never met him at all before this evening. But now he’s here, and he’s asking for her, because he has something to give her:
A painted wooden nutcracker doll.
A nutcracker Drosselmeyer had made himself, with the intention of giving it to Clara in person on this very night.
Clara doesn’t appreciate this at the time, and her response sets of a chain of events that lead her to an adventure in The Four Realms; a magical and mechanical world of Drosselmeyer’s creation, which he had bequeathed to her upon the event of his death. At her side throughout this adventure is the Nutcracker, brought to life and played by the same actor as the nephew.
Clara goes on an allegorical journey through The Four Realms, bonding with the Nutcracker in the process as she comes to appreciate him for the symbol of Drosselmeyer that he is.
Once she returns home to the real world, she at last recognizes Drosselmeyer’s nephew as another person who shared a personal connection with the mentor figure she’s lost, and the two of them begin to connect.
There, we’ve salvaged Drosselmeyer’s narrative significance and made him more involved in the story. And that’s despite him being dead.

This movie is waaaaaaaaay too orange/blue. Like visually it is soooooo ugly, which I should not be thinking about a movie that's based on a ballet (based on a children's book) that's exclusively pretty Christmas colors.
They really just science girlboss + dead mom'd us RIGHT out of the gate, huh. Bad.
I cannot stress how much I hate the dead mom thing it's just. It's bad. It's not fun. It's very overdone and NOT very whimsical and too common to be truly emotional or have any bite.
I like the presents on the strings though that's cool. Good scene.
It's a shame they didn't manage to pull off a fun dynamic between Captain Phillip the Nutcracker and Clara because he is really a pretty man and very sweet in the movie it's just... He's got some crap dialogue and she's awful so the spark isn't there.
The giant mouse amalgam golem is cool as hell though.
The other realms leaders COULD be funny and neat but hmmm. 1) the colors are still Bad and 2) we aren't quiiiiite hitting the comedy here. I do like their overwrought designs though.
Stop ordering him around!! Bitch!!!!!!
The fact that they explain the time dilation in the real world vs the realms. Not necessary.
The spooky evil amusement park rips.
Yeah I think besides the actual part with actual ballet, which coincidentally has actual colors besides blue and orange, the entire bit with Mother Ginger is my favorite. Creepy..... (affectionate)
Evil Sugar Plum is nonsense but man Keira Knightley is truly having fun with it. I can't be mad. girl saaaaaame
I also like the Tin Soldiers they're pretty creepy.
MECHA FIIIIIIGHT
Seriously Mother Ginger is so cool with the whip crack crack
Will say that the Clara and Sugar Plum final confrontation is good at least, in wrapping up the dead mom anguish and themes and stuff. They were not necessary themes but we did it.
I still hate these comedy relief guards I hated them when we met them I still hate them now.
I also don't like her science thing. I'm sorry. I know this is antifeminist of me. Forced. I know many science girlies and they are not like that they would be going on rambles when they were traveling the realms together. She doesn't even get a "oh! cool! how's that work? can I touch it??"
Family reunion aaaaay we have resolved the plot point except who's in charge of the Land of Sweets now that Sugar Plum is a toy again? Also idk how I feel about Clara's mom being the one who brought everything to life in the realm. But the realm was already there?
I must have straight up misremembered stuff from the first time I watched it because I could have sworn she met the irl guy version of the Nutcracker in Drosselmeyer's workshop but no? No she doesn't? In fact the implication is that Clara's mom was adopted by him?
The lack of a Nutcracker = Nephew thing is a huge L with me, like I suppose the "ooh you'll miss them but you'll always smile thinking about them" thing is good if you have a dead mom plot but I am, and always will be, a fan of the romantic elements of the ballet. I like when stories have people in the Real World and mirrors of them in the Fantasy World, or, like the Nutcracker, a Fantasy World guy who turns out to have a Real World equivalent (Mirrormask pulled this shit off so good). I think it's cool. We did not do this. Missed opportunity boooooo.
Anyway liked it more on the second watch. Still necessary and could have done with the hand of someone who either really liked the play or the book to add that spark of something special, but at least I got to see a bunch of human-sized metal robots fight a lady mecha in a carnival dress?
I'm also drinking btw though lol. My one well deserved alcohol a month. So maybe I enjoyed the ending a little more because I'm not watching it on an airplane this time and also haha. Booze. I am feeling it in my system.
I am finally rewatching The Nutcracker and the Four Realms after many years of being like "it sucked I should rewatch it."
I will reblog with my thoughts and also post my cringeass OTP nutcracker AU fanart later. Because of cringe.

I'm sure you're busy with other things, but I'm curious. You remember your interpretation of the Nutcracker and the Four Realms? I was just wondering what ideas you have for what Princess Pirlipat looked like under her mask
Ah that's something I'd leave up to the viewers imagination, I just know it's something horrifying
