I’m thinking of making chloe clara with the dove miraculous (that’s a new one)

you know because Mouserink is the antagonist of the whole ballet and I’d find it so cool if the heroes got to face them in like a dramatic battle

Ladybug and Chat are nutcrackers (an akuma had turned them) mouse, someone who hasn’t actually harmed the heroes uses this as a way to sort of cause chaos and grab what they need (I’m thinking they don’t take the miraculous but use the akuma to try trace back to shadowmoth)

so the heroes with their new powers have to face against these wooden versions of their friends

The Madame, the Dark Fairy, Carabosse, Madame Mouserinks, whatever you wish to call her (and hope you don't actually grab her attention), this master of dark magic has quite an influence on the events that are going to transpire.

So it's been a hot moment sense I've drawn nutcracker’s or Erica. So I figured why not draw Hanz and Gedeon (my mouse king but he doesn't look like this when Erica encounters him)

I drew this by hand for a envelope card, figured I'd post it here incase I never digitalis it and yes there will be a reason behind why Hanz and Erica have a very similar design besides her being his daughter. Anyways ENJOY

[”The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” by ETA Hoffmann is much darker and weirder than the more famous ballet it inspired. It’s mostly to do with the machinations between rival magical kingdoms and the Mouse King’s extortion racket for Christmas presents. As opposed to the ballet, which is fully half plotless dances based on ethnic stereotypes. I do enjoy Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, but let’s be honest. The Mouse King in the story is much more monstrous, having seven heads. For practical reasons, this is usually dropped from adaptations. A Soviet animated version compromised with three heads, and designs with that number are much more common than the full set.

The character has no name in the original story, just a title. We do get his mother’s name: Mouserinks. She’s the one who cursed the prince into being a nutcracker in the first place, and the Mouse King is hunting him to prevent him from turning back. My name for the character is derived from a Tamil word meaning rat or mouse. Since I’m making him a rakshasa, and different adaptations vary in what species he’s supposed to be, I figured that it was appropriate. The flavor text may draw some inspiration from the recent OGL unpleasantness.]

Rakshasa Immortal, Korittunni CR 21 LE Outsider (native) This humanoid stands smaller than a human and has seven rodent heads, arrayed facing in all directions. They are clad in a fancy military dress uniform, carry a fine saber, and wear a crown on each of their heads.

Korittunni the Mouse King is one of the least of the rakshasa immortals, but that does not make him any less dangerous or destructive. He is obsessed with things: taking them from other people and destroying them if he cannot take them. No object is below his acquisitiveness; he enjoys stealing toys and candy from children as much as he does jewels or magical items from the wealthy and powerful. He rarely works alone, and surrounds himself with sycophantic ratfolk, ver, wererats and other rodent-like humanoids. Most of his elite agents are other rakshasas, typically with rodent features in their natural form.

Korittunni often is the one to initiate hostilities, but if he can take what he wants through intimidation, trickery or mind-controlling magic, he does so before fighting. His teeth are strong and powerful, but he usually fights with a dueling sword. He is a master of bardic magic, weaving spells and magical dance together in order to augment his own abilities and those of any of his minions. Korittunni often leaves his victims alive but humiliated, cursed or polymorphed, as a warning to others who would cross him.

The Mouse King’s kingdom is a vast subterranean city, from which he plots robbery and extortion. Many criminal gangs pay him protection money, and in turn he helps to supply them with tools and talent from his own reserves. And doesn’t just wipe them out and steal from them. Korittunni is a dangerous partner, however, as he will often make the terms and conditions of his deals more and more restrictive, until his allies are little more than slaves. He can be charming when he wants to, but his default mode of expression is to threaten and bully. He is something of a mama’s boy and speaks fondly of his own mother, although whether she actually literally existed as he describes, or is a composite character based on dozens of reincarnations, is mysterious.

Korittunni is only two feet tall, but no less dangerous for his size. He always carries a magic rapier capable of stealing magical defenses and a rod of splendor.

Ravenous Rodents (Sp) This spell functions as a creeping doom spell, except that the swarms summoned appear as rats and mice. The swarms have the animal type instead of the vermin type, and do not have the poison special attack. Instead, they gain the voracious ability (see below) and deal damage to unattended objects in their area as well. This is the equivalent of a 7th level spell. Spells Korittunni casts spells as a 20th level bard. Voracious (Ex) Korittunni’s bite attacks deal double damage to creatures with the plant subtype, and to objects made out of plant materials such as paper, wood and most cloth.

Inktober 2024 Day 11: The Mouse King

The Main Antagonist from E. T. A. Hoffmann's Christmas Story, "The Nutcracker" (sometimes known as the "Rat King").

Describe being a Seventh-Headed Mouse, the Mouse King's Mother, Madame Mouserinks (The Mouse Queen) knew about the Nutcracker for she cursed Drosselmeyer's Nephew into a Nutcracker in a Royal Family's castle for when his Mother tried to have Princess Pirlipat be Ugly after when his Mother was killed, he took over and became the New Ruler of Mice.

The Mouse King plays a significant role in the story as the Main Villain where he serves as The Nutcracker's Arch-Nemesis since He & his Army terrorized Clara/Marie's house & even in Toyland.

His Death has a different fate in both versions.

In the Novel, Marie was threatened by the Mouse King but the Nutcracker saved her life by killing him off.

In the Play, Clara (The Other "Name" besides than "Marie") throws her own slipper at the Mouse King to where he falls over into his death, instantly killing him.

"You could afford to yell at me a little," The Mouse Queen drawls, making a show of rolling her eyes. "A few more pleasantries and you'd be thanking be for the curse." That's not supposed to come until after the fact, and in hindsight, never to be spoken. This is a lesson, but a begrudging one.

Mouserinks knows she's being contrary; here she has a willing pupil, but chafes at it.

"The tail's always in the way," she agrees with a sigh, "Mind and not lose it, girl. Been making friends have we? Enemies too, with luck."

Per concept art here’s a very old doodle I did of Andre and Alexander (with his proper 7 heads) ages before I had a tablet or the Disney Nutcracker came out xD

Uhhh I may have gone overboard and made two boxes and three other kwamis for the rom au

The lost box is self explanatory, it was a box the guardians completely forgot about and was lost to time until Nathalie finds it on one her trips to Greece

(don’t ask how it got there I have not thought about it and it’s more likely to change as I plan the story)

Webb is the leader, She’s the kwami of connections a main part of the web of life.

Cunning and kind Webb likes to think she can be a mother figure to her holder and guide them down a path that won’t harm the web of life.

Roo is a momma bear, she’s literally the Kwami of comfort/instinct her motherly instincts kick in whenever she gets a new holder

Stern but soft Roo believes that a good bond can do wonderful things

Finn kwami of defence, more likely to beat the shit out of someone if they make his holder feel less about themselves

He’s tough but has a heart of gold and protects anyone his holder deems worthy

Eayna Kwami of madness, she’s nuts very nuts wants to make sure her holders feel every part of madness they can

She’s manipulative but if matched with the right holder does become more soft

And flutter they are the kwami of innocence sweet and caring they dote on their holder no matter what

Flutter believes having some sort of innocence inside you can help in the harder times

The box of judgment I haven’t fleshed out at all but Pathera and Kuura are rivals and opposing forces same with Craehee and Mingo

Octak is Webb’s rival, he makes sure any web she weaves doesn’t stick often destroying some of her holders lives in turn

Clover is based on the luck of the Irish and four leaf clovers bringing luck

She’s very energetic when it comes to being a mentor to her holder

Antee he’s a slowpoke but doesn’t give up on making sure his holder goes down the right path!
