Since I gave Calliper such a disaster of a childhood and social life, coming up with Guardians for her was quite a chore.

I literally had to ask myself: "If I was a tone-deaf mind flayer, digging through the memories of a half-drow with huge self-esteem issues, slavery trauma, deep mistrust for drow, and a general feeling of inadequacy because of her origin...what image should I come up with to gain her trust?"

Option # 1. Personal high elf hero with a shining tadpole

Since Calliper hates drow, who is the opposite of drow? High elves, of course. Graceful and benevolent beings, sun-kissed folk attuned to Fey and wonderful magic, such a stark contrast with spiders, webs, and darkness of the Underdark. Oh, but they are so untouchable, aren't they? So distant. What are the chances of meeting one? Of having such an elf treat her like someone equal, worthy of respect, deserving mentoring and protection? Wouldn't it be wonderful? Doesn't Calliper secretly seek to be accepted at least by someone of her kin, especially those so viciously hated by drow? Wouldn't she trust such a guardian, who came to her when she needed him the most, with her life?

(Spoiler: not really. Calliper has met a few High Elves in her life, and all she got was raised eyebrows, side eyes, and mixed looks of pity. To her, they truly were something distant - while she didn't explicitly hate them, she always felt there was no point in connecting with them. They would never understand. So, while the presence of a handsome and mysterious elven knight, straight from heroic tales, would have been a huge relief in her condition, and it felt nice to be acknowledged and cared for, Calliper has never exactly dreamt about such a hero - and at that point, she gave up trying to impress non-drow Tel`Quessir, so she would treat his offers with suspicion)

Option # 2. "I'm just like you!...No, seriously, I'm literally the male version of you"

Yes, no drow allowed in Calliper's headspace...but what about a fellow half-blood? Finally, someone, who looks like her, who had been through same shit as her and who understands her fears, and concerns - and is there to protect her because he know her struggles and wants to make it better. Together, they can make it through this nightmare. She doesn't have to be alone. She doesn't have to be afraid. Now, open your mind to this tadople, Calliper. Don't worry, you're not alone anymore. He will take care of you.

(This version works better with tugging at Calliper's strings. Her need for belonging at least somewhere shows. While the odds of two half-drows finding each other in ther weirdest of circumstances are sus, just too good to be true, the prospect of finding a kindred soul may have Calliper acting unwise. On the other hand, the experience with her patron taught her that she better not act unwise in her dreams and visions -- it didn't take much for her to accidentally attach herself to the forces beyond her and everyone else's comprehension. She doesn't want to repeat that. Also, if he is half-drow like her, doesn't he know how dangerous tadpoles are? Why would he want her to insert more of these things into her brain?)

Option # 3. "Mother knows best"

The Emperor's cruelest and the most fucked up way to get Calliper's trust and attention -- take a dive into her most vulnerable memories and hopes, and carve them into an avatar for himself. Because even though Calliper tries not to reflect on the obstacles of her birth, she never really stopped asking herself "What if...?". What if her mother never ended up a slave in the Underdark, never went through all of this? What if she, Calliper, was a normal girl, a welcome child, born in a loving union, somewhere under the sun? What if she was born in the world where her mother wanted her?

How would she look like? How would she sound like? How hugging her would feel like? How would it feel to have someone caring and supportive, proud of her and there for her?...

She doesn't even remember the face of the woman who was her mother. Only fragments, none of them happy or pleasant. She knows that she had to be human and that she hated her. And Calliper didn't blame her. She could care less about what happened to her biological father (hopefully, he met his brutal death, got eaten alive, and shat out by a bulette). Still, the thought of having all these powers and being unable to find and wrestle just one more person from the darkness of the Underdark and take her home kept her awake at night more than once.

And then, there it is...an oddly familiar face. A protective touch. A kind smile. Calm, motherly demeanor. Calliper has never met this woman before, yet she radiates comfort and safety. How natural would it feel to trust her? To follow her advice? To hug her as she hides her pain and exhaustion from constantly shielding them from harm?

(I hate myself for coming up with this idea. This is so fucking unfair. It's manipulation at its vilest, and it would have worked. It would have convinced Calliper to consume another tadpole at least once. And, of course, she would be ruined after learning about the deception. Fucking devastated. She'll put two and two together, realize what the Emperor did and have a mental breakdown.)

4. which ocs sleep curled up vs. spread out vs. moves a lot during the night?

Mokona, Astereaux, Perci, and Fish are definitely the starfish variety of sleeper. I think Astereaux sleeps like a rotisserie chicken.

Meena and Thalliah are curled up/clingy sleepers. If there is someone in bed next to them they are going to attach themselves to them in some way. Rhys is also a clingy sleeper, but I imagine he is also a starfish the other half of the time.

Jade is a high-Elf and does not formally "sleep" but if he did he would probably also be a clingy sleeper.

5. which ocs sleep with the window open vs. closed?

I think most sleep with the windows closed, just practically. Rhys might sleep with them open because he forgot to close them before he fell asleep. Thalliah and Astereaux might leave them cracked just a little if there's a nice breeze on a summer night.

I think Buck does a lot of sleeping outside. Jade is currently in Actual Hell where he'd be lucky if he found a building with in-tact windows to close OR open.

6. which ocs eat consistent meals? which ocs just eat whenever they feel like it?

Marjah, Thalliah, Barm, Meena, and Nadiah probably eat consistent meals.

Nadiah is probably the most regimented because she is a performing acrobat and probably has a strict schedule she follows. Barm has a daughter and makes sure to set a good example. Meena's dads make sure she is well fed (tho she eats surprisingly little for a Norn) and social family meals are probably a high priority.

Matthias WOULD be the type to eat consistent meals if he didn't frequently overwork himself and forget to eat because of it.

Buck, Sarah, Rhys, Perci, Jade, Fish and Mokona are 'eat whenever they feel like it' people.

Mokona mostly in that she is a snacker and you cannot keep her from munching and crunching. Rhys is ADHD and eats when he remembers or is reminded. Jade is in Super Hell and eats whatever is available whenever he can find it.

Perci is probably a bit of both in that he thinks eating at least three square meals is important and makes sure his friends eat. but also eats whatever he wants whenever he wants.

Well, today’s your day! It should come as no surprise that Artists on Tumblr reign supreme: from stunning traditional art, jaw-dropping digital art, fanart, sculptures, textile art—you name it, basically—this year’s list shows that Tumblr truly is the home for art and artists. Thank you, Artists on Tumblr, for enriching our dashboards day after day. 

Rounding out the top three, we have two iconic shows: Good Omens is live-action, and The Owl House is animated, but both have a heck of a love story at their core. The second season of Good Omens blessed us with not one but two ineffably exquisite ships, while the final season of The Owl House broke and then healed fans’ hearts in equal measure. Thanks, @danaterrace! Actually, come to think of it, the Good Omens finale kinda did the same in reverse. Thanks to you, too, @neil-gaiman! We can’t wait for season 3. 

Speaking of heartbreak and healing, Our Flag Means Death’s second season offered both in droves. The entire cast gave stellar performances, and fans couldn’t have been happier to see the kinds of representation the show displayed. Last year’s #1 topic, Stranger Things, may have dropped a bit, but trust us, you wouldn’t know it from the amount of meta, fanart, and fics in the tag. And did you hear about the live-action adaptations of both The Last of Us and One Piece? They were a preeeetty big deal this year, too. Check ‘em out if you haven’t yet (lol, of course you have). And we’d be remiss not to mention the hugely dedicated fans, fanartists, and fic writers devoting their time to all things Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Y’all deserve a little pizza, as a treat.

2023 was also a year for blockbuster movies, which of course hasn’t escaped anybody’s notice here on Tumblr. Barbie smashed box offices worldwide and left us reeling with every re-watch. How can one describe Greta Gerwig’s pink-filled opus? It certainly is one of the movies of all time. Meanwhile, with its incredible animation and soundtrack, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse introduced us to a whole new multiverse of Spider-People, opening the portal to a veritable flood of incredible OCs. And then, of course, we got a fresh perspective on an old classic when cinephiles introduced Martin Scorscese’s cinematic masterpiece, Goncharov (1973), to a new generation of film aficionados who resoundingly agree that it is, in fact, the greatest mafia movie ever made. We’re so glad this underrated film finally got the acclaim it has long deserved.

In the realms of gaming and tech, the long-anticipated Baldur’s Gate 3 has basically become everyone’s new favorite D&D/dating sim combination. Of course, the Pokémon franchise, games, shows, and Hatsune Miku collabs remain perennial favorites. Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter, sorry, we mean of course X, made waves across the internet. Similarly, the Reddit blackout drove Redditors to new venues, and Tumblr users welcomed the folks from r/196 with open arms—we’re huge fans of your memes, y’all, and you fit right in. Welcome, we’re glad you enjoy the chaos. Here’s a fun fact: if we included post metadata in Year in Review rankings, #polls, introduced in January of 2023, would have been the #5 topic on Tumblr this year. Phenomenal. 

And, oh right. Taylor Swift had kind of a big year, what with the albums, the epic global tour, and the movie and stuff. Fantastic work, @taylorswift, the Swifties on Tumblr thank you for everything.

As Sayaka’s extended birthday comes to a close, I just want to say thank you to each and everyone who participated in her birthday event for this year! From giving gifts to extending birthday wishes to just genuinely showing our beloved butterfly mommy some love and appreciation, it really makes me happy as her creator to see and know that people still love and cherish Sayaka even after all this time (and despite me not posting anything relevant to the main story in such a long time). I just know that it also fills her with such warm to receive so much kindness from everyone. Once again, thank you all for everything!

Next birthday event is Joey’s in October! I hope you’re all looking forward to it as I am!

A new day.

A new opportunity to be better than you were yesterday.

It was a motto Sayaka like to follow whenever she got the chance and she likes to think that she’s been doing a good job of doing so. Granted, she had her off days and even some bad ones but she always managed to bounce back to her cheerful self in the end, people would be surprised to see someone as soft hearted and too sweet for this world as her stay strong in the face of adversity but after hitting what she considered to be the lowest point of her life, Sayaka had seen it all and did it all, she was so sure that nothing else could shake her like that ever again…

…Until today.

It was the day after the day of her birthday and ever since the night that she had gone drinking with two of her closest friends which had ended in the most unexpected way she couldn’t ever imagine , Sayaka couldn’t get the moment out of her head, it played on repeat over and over, from Jakurai’s straightforward but meaningful confession to Kensaku’s drunken but passionate declarations of love for both her and the good doctor, she almost couldn’t wrap her head around it, at some point Sayaka had thought that she was the one who had drank too much and was just letting her inebriated brain take over and showed her what she wanted to see and hear.

It had been a bit of a blur when she had made it back to her room, she had finally got Lola to back off and let her breathe or maybe the model had saw the state she was in and had taken pity on her to stop her prying, either way, the brunette was grateful because after taking off her shoes and just barely changing into some more comfortable clothes, the now 33 year old woman had spent a good while rolling around in bed like a maniac and screaming into her pillow like she was a teenage girl again.

Then she passed out.

When she woke up, there was a slight headache (which was immediately cured by the medicine Lola had left by her bedside) and a dull ache in her cheeks from smiling so much. At first she had thought it was a dream but after checking her phone to find new messages from Jakurai and a lot of new ones from Kensaku had confirmed it, it was real alright, both of her dream men had confessed to her (and to each other) and wanted to enter a relationship, something that Sayaka didn’t think was possible but now the opportunity was so close she could feel it.

Was it unusual to have feelings for two different men? Yes and Sayaka wasn’t exactly thrilled when she found out, in fact it had made her even more scared, she had been attracted to Jakurai for many years but never acted on her feelings out of respect for the doctor and out of guilt for her late husband, not to mention the chaos that had been going on at the time which led to them separating and barely seeing each other for years to come, Sayaka had just became a mother and at that point, all that mattered was her daughter, the thought of dating and romance was unfathomable at the time.

But life had a funny way of getting back at her whenever she declared something, as not only did her feelings for Jakurai came crashing back to her at full force once the two of them had reunited and bonded once again but nothing and nobody could have prepared her for what would be thrown at her way the day she met one of Jakurai’s friends at his office.

Kensaku Morimoto was an interesting man, he was kind, funny, and it wasn’t surprising that he and Sayaka had gotten along well almost immediately after their first meeting, it was quite a shock to know that they were both competing in the D.R.B. but they knew that there was no malicious intent between the two of them and that they were both mature enough to not let some competition get in the way of their friendship. Things were normal after that, naturally they couldn’t see each other all the time due to their respective jobs and their demanding work schedules but the times that they did catch each other, they always made the best of it, laughing, drinking, teasing Jakurai no matter whether or not he was actually there, the two had developed a solid bond.

Until something shifted one day and neither could look at the other for too long without getting flustered by how beautiful/handsome the other person was.

Sayaka had realized immediately that she was feeling the same thing she had for Jakurai towards Kensaku and she may or may not have panicked hard when she found out. Having feelings for one man was overwhelming enough but two? That just made her felt like she was greedy or worse…like she was being promiscuous in some way and she lov-liked and respected Jakurai and Kensaku too much to lead the both of them along like that.

It didn’t help that the guilt creeped in almost immediately after, like she was betraying her husband for even thinking of such things and while she knew that realistically she couldn’t keep holding onto the memory of a dead man forever, there was also her daughter to consider, Sayaka had never introduced another man to her daughter and she did everything she could to make sure Yoshiko knew who her father was and how much he meant to their family of two so what would it look like to her if all of a sudden her mother brought not only one but two unfamiliar men home and called them her lovers?

So yes, that was the real reason why Sayaka had kept her mouth shut about the ordeal, refusing to budge even after all the signs were there and Lola’s incessant badgering pushing her forward to make a move, three years had passed and Sayaka had begun to accept that maybe things were better this way, nobody would get hurt via rejection and no friendships would be ruined.

How naive of her to think that things could never be left alone.

Sayaka perked up at the sound of footsteps drawing closer and fiddled with the sleeve of her top, heart almost beating out of her chest but she told herself that could not run now, she had to face this with everything she had. It wasn’t hard to get both men to meet her at some park, judging by the text messages in the group chat, it seemed like both Jakurai and Kensaku were just as eager to talk to her like she was to them. Sure enough, it was easy to spot them, their respective purple and blue hair made them stand out, Jakurai looked calm as always and Kensaku had on his signature easygoing smile but looking closely, the brunette woman saw that Jakurai was holding onto Kensaku’s wrist so that the researcher wouldn’t turn tail and run, it made Sayaka smile, seems like they both had the same idea.

“Sayaka-san, how are you? Are you okay?” Jakurai stood a respectable distance away and let go of the other man’s wrist when it looked like he wasn’t about to sprint for the nearest exit, Kensaku gave a crooked grin and waved to which Sayaka waved back and smiled at both of them. “I’m fine, Jakurai-san.”

Things went silent as the three adults stared at one another, it would be laughable to say that the tension was thick, Sayaka was surprised that they all haven’t started suffocating due to how high the tension was. Jakurai cleared his throat and took the plunge, “So…about last night-“

“Wait!” Both men paused and looked at the woman before them, Sayaka’s cheeks flushed red and she nervously shuffled on her feet. “I’m sorry, Jakurai, it’s just, I’ve been meaning to say this for a while…I need to say this…” With clenched fists, the brunette woman took a deep breath and finally released the feelings she’s kept inside for so long. “Jinguji Jakurai…Morimoto Kensaku…I’m in love with you both, I have been for a long time now, I-I’m not sure when it started or how I gained these feelings but I’m more than certain that it’s not just a crush or anything, I am truly, undeniably in love with both of you, I don’t know how but if you’re both willing then I really think that we can make this work, I want to make this work! I…love you two…so much.” Sayaka finished with glowing red cheeks and bright amber eyes filled with determination.

Both men stared at smaller woman in shock before Kensaku swooped her up in a hug and span her around, making Sayaka yelped and cling onto the researcher before he let her down. “Wha..?”

“God you have no idea how relieved I am! Jakurai caught me up to speed on everything, I’m sorry for everything, believe me, that was not how I wanted it to go.” Kensaku hung his head and sighed heavily, still feeling the after effects of embarrassment wash up on him, Sayaka giggled and tilted his head up so that he could look at her, his breath almost taken away at the sight of her radiant smile. “Don’t be, I actually thought it was rather sweet.”

Kensaku sheepishly smiled and the two of them shared another hug before turning to the tall purple haired man who was staring at them with a soft smile and loved filled eyes. Gently he opened his arms for an invitation and Sayaka immediately took his offer, pulling Kensaku by his hand, the two of them threw themselves into the doctor’s arms, Sayaka in the middle being enveloped on both sides by the two men she loved most and she couldn’t be happier.

Every once in a while I'll think about the massive amount of "superheroes being sad by a coffin" art that appeared after Stan Lee died as it was both touching and kinda cringe. I honestly liked those pictures a lot, it was nice to see the influence he had and the genuine sorrow that his loss brought to people. The cringe part honestly was just trying to figure out if he would have wanted that art,, so I'm gonna say this.

If I ever die, I want fanart of my characters or anyone's characters being sad at a funeral or at the grave or next to my corpse, on one condition: the art has to be gratuitously sexual. Like Mia respectfully touching my gravestone but she's in a super low cut dress with a corset and a big slit up the leg or Duke crying shirtless with just a massive bulge in his pants or Scar just tearing her shirt off in anger. Just blatantly horny the whole way through, everyone's a pinup, just the absolute least appropriate art.

After Bobby and Chris leave, Buck breaks up with his boyfriend, tries not to punch his new boss, and worries about Eddie.

Buck and Tommy break up three and a half weeks after Chris leaves for Texas, which is a correlation that he could probably read into if he felt like it.

Correlation, not causation. He took a statistics class once upon a time during his ill-fated attempt at college. Failed it, but a few things did stick. Correlation is not causation. Winning streaks aren't real, and neither are losing streaks. It's all just a glitch of the human brain, finding patterns where there are none. Eddie, dedicated skeptic that he is, would definitely tell him that in the same fondly condescending tone he uses to explain to Buck that jinxes and hexes and the wrath of the gods aren't real, seriously, cursed bracelets and q-word shifts from hell notwithstanding.

He wonders sometimes if Eddie has changed his tune on that now, but he's definitely not going to ask him. There's a Christopher-shaped hole in their conversations these days, and the edges are still sharp. And Buck doesn't want to know if this has finally made Eddie come around to the idea that maybe he's cursed.

Three and a half weeks without Chris. Three weeks of Eddie's increasingly tight-lipped, stiff-shouldered responses to Gerrard's unsubtle jabs. Buck hates watching it. Hates it. Bad enough that Eddie is hollow-eyed and distracted when he's off-shift, glancing at empty corners and open doors like he's expecting Chris to walk in at any minute, but now even work isn't a respite. Buck does what he can to draw the heat, though he's not sure it's actually helping. And then today: Gerrard came across the two of them laughing at a stupid meme on Buck's phone and made a snide remark about fairies flocking together that made the too-rare smile on Eddie's face wither into the same icy stoicism he uses for the cracks about taco trucks and deadbeat dads.

Buck almost spun around and decked Gerrard right on the spot. Might have actually done it, had the bell not gone off when it did.

So it was a good thing that they spent the next four hours hauling hoses at a warehouse fire in East L.A. today, with Gerrard too occupied to needle any of them. No casualties, so he doesn't even have to feel bad for thinking that.

Mouthwashing and fandom discourse as a whole.

So I recently explored the tag for Mouthwashing after watching two no-commentary lets plays of the entire game. I'm seeing a lot of posts pointing out how annoying it is that this game has a fandom and that this fandom is doing fandom things and stanning/"uwu-ing" characters from this incredibly nuanced, raw and not-fandom friendly piece of art. To paraphrase someone I just saw "you don't want mouthwashing; you want Among Us ocs but darker". And

for a moment I wanna talk a bit about how I absolutely agree with this statement while also talk for a moment about how and why fandom and catharsis fan fics exist and shouldn't be shamed inherently. Or, I guess, not in theory.

The "come on! Stop trying to make everything shippable/cutsey/memey/have a happy AU and face unpleasant emotions someone's trying to tell you about!" is SUCH a vibe with me. I felt this way in the 9 fandom a lot as a kid and that was just 9. Mouthwashing is like 9 on bathsalts emotions and theme-wise. It's a game where you play as both the flawed but caring captain of a doomed ship who's life becomes a Johnny Got His Gun-nightmare, and also a deplorable, hateful piece of garbage who got himself and his friend in that nightmare situation to begin with. Both characters, moreso Jimmy but Curly too, are the causes of their own misery. They're complex dealing with one of the two committing SA and doing nothing really about it/dodging the responsibility and humanity needed to support the victim whom they've wronged.

I fully admit it's groan-inducing seeing people be shipped up Anya with anyone on the ship considering what happens to her. On a pure pr level I think it would be illegal even since romance between coworkers in a workplace is considered conflict of interest/harassment as it so often is. (NOT that what Jimmy did to Anya is 'romance'. I'm talking about the shipping of Anya with the other three guys. I know there's people out there who do ship Jimmy/Anya; you don't have to tell or show me I believe you and also I already hate it.) It's ALSO groan inducing to see people ship Curly and Jimmy considering all Curly does to him- and just the fact that this incredibly tragic, toxic one-way-gone array friendship is reduced to "toxic yaoi teehee". It's annoying AT BEST.

I get the hostility towards fandom-tastic stanning and fandom behavior in general...the issue is it's still hostility and I wish some of you guys got that. Like it or not (you don't have to like it) fandom culture is inevitable to some degree. You can and should complain about your hangups but that's all you can do besides avoiding tags and just not engaging with that side of the fandom at some point. Save your call-outs and rage for when you see active deplorable bs being committed that people are excusing for dumb fandom reasons, like lolicon, hatespeech or harassment. I'm sorry but you can not actively go after and try and take down the innocent people involved in your trigger that aren't directly hurting you by liking the thing that triggers you; ie. people who get all shipping and fandom-brained about Mouthwashing's characters which you find offensive to do at all.

This type of convo is the crux of most 'antifandom' v profandom discourse in general; for Antis I think there ought to be a difference between the people that set you off bcuz of fandom nonsense vs sociopathic 'got mine'-creepiness. There's a difference between someone who draws r34 v Shadbase. For profandom types you out to face the fact that yes- maybe NOT EVERYTHING is meant to be shippable/memed. Maybe try practicing that a bit. Yeah it's most harmless and makes you feel happy, but considering how people outside of your hyperfixation-of-a-hyperfixation is a thing. The thing about the "don't like, don't read" argument is it goes both ways. If you're truly a "good fan" like you say you are than you have to realize that people will not like your problematicisms. Learn to interact with characters and stories without the possibility of shipping sometimes- or at least understand that that's the crux of what makes a story like Mouthwashing engaging, even if you also partake in the fandumb and AUs on the side. You can call Curly your babygirl and ship him or make him happy all you want but PLEASE acoknowledge that the game doesn't woobify him or excuse what he did to Anya as well. You can make some kind of AU scenario where Jimmy gets out somehow and becomes/is a slightly better person for all I care...so long as you PLEASE remember that he is canonically a r@pist and awful. Also, even if I'm okay with your fan decisions, note that myself and others are still going to be critical and be upset that you wrote it at all because of what kind of character Jimmy is. 'Critical' =/= declaring something evil.

Fandom behaviors are not souly a destructive parasocial outcome of brainrot; they're also a natural reaction to what happens canonically and the emotions you have to experiencing a story. It's normal and rational to sympathize and love Curly and despise and hate Jimmy. You can love/like/enjoy a problematic-to-DEEPLY DISTURBED-character based on their complexity in canon. They are fiction. They are not real. The reason you are so invested with them is because of that complexity and yes because they are fiction they are your 'toy' and you can doll them up in any kind of speculative AU crap you make. That's fanfiction, baby. Make yourself a fixit fic if you really want

BUT-

remember: it stays as a fixit fic. DO NOT cross the streams, or insist that your active misreading of the text is the same as the text itself. EVER. You should care about your special interest's escapism as a means of self-care. What you shouldn't do is demand that EVERYONE ELSE LOVE your coping mechanism and that any complaints by people on their own terms on their own blogs is #badfaith or an inherent attack against you. It isn't. You'll know when it is an attack against you and that's when you, the profandom-type, need to be prepared and save your call-out posts and blocklist for.

To me that's the fragility to fandom debates and fandom as a whole. You can not/should not police or control an entire group of people and how they perceive or interact with media. That's not fair and it's definitely not sporting or decent of you in a community. You have to share your community -your fandom- with people who hate ur fav and people who love your least fav. Agreeing to disagree means not tagging your nOTP as their shipname or by tagging your shipname loud and clear. It means filtering out posts with those topics but enjoying and/or reblogging the fandom takes you do share with your fellow fandom-mite that obviously posts abt those topics.

When schmit REALLY goes down and some assface reviewer/fan/SOMETHING is being an assface or doing something amoral under the guise of fandom-ing, that's where you out to put your foot down. Callouts and complaints are for people who did an egregious thing and refuse to take responsibility(lol) for it. They're not for "soandso likes the thing that triggers me, kill them"/"so and so is hating on the thing I'm kinning because it triggers them, kill them". Be an adult.

Your DNI lists should consist of "lolicon defenders" not "proshippers", as those ARE NOT one in the same. Same goes the other way around. List off "bigots, purity culture bs", not "antis and critics". These positions ARE NOT interchangeable. If you make them interchangeable than you're making things a lot harder for yourself.
