okay yeah so as i’ve mentioned, maurice, naturally, becomes a parent last out of his siblings. i honestly don’t have a concrete timeline about WHEN renée & juliette marry their silly husbands. i even debate who gets married first, though i think they get married not far apart from each other. but maurice, being so much younger, is still a teenager when his sisters are in their Romance Eras™️

i do know that renée has the first grandchild, a son whom she names after her father — adam. which, very much makes adam feel soooooo….. like…. do i even need to explain. the gravity. the WEIGHT. the way that so many years ago when HE had his son, he wanted to name the boy after his grandfather because he was a good man. and then…….. renée does the exact same thing 🤧🤧 Yeah. also it’s kinda funny bc adam’s mother’s name was renée so it’s like. this bit of the family tree is like renée. adam. renée. adam. afjskdj. but that’s how it goes sometimes. i hope little adam the second ends up with a daughter named renée, just to be funny. but i barely know about that kid. he’ll make a great king some day though :)

ANYWAY ! BACK TO MAURICE !!! THE BOY !!!!!!!!!!!

so EVENTUALLY yeah maurice marries eloise, the only girl he’s ever been in love with. gosh their love story is so precious. the thing about maurice is that he’s such a charming, sweet little social butterfly. maidens have alwaaaayys had crushes on him. he’s THE PRINCE! and he’s so handsome and kind! and funny! and weird! the ladies love him! but what’s so sweet to me is that maurice had all the attention that his father once had, but he handles it like, polar opposite. despite how social he is, he Barely dips his toe in the waters of romance. he just doesn’t get crushes very easily! he’s thought girls were cute, sure! but i think deep down he knows that romance should be as deep and ridiculous as his parents’ love is, so he kind of holds back waiting for that. and what’s even funnier is that eloise is soooo not a romantic. she’s so OVER that. she ROLLS her eyes at romance novels and all that crap. but then she meets maurice by chance, and she doesn’t even realize he’s The Prince because she doesn’t keep up to date with anything, but she falls for him so suddenly. and then when she realizes WHO he is, she’s like ooohhh my GOSSSHHHHHH you Cannot be serious😮‍💨😮‍💨

they go through their own little dramatic love story plot, maybe one day i’ll get it all written. in the meantime, let’s cut to the epilogue >:3

so yessss as i was saying to you, when eloise tells her sweet golden retriever husband that they’re going to have their very own baby, he just WEEPS. like really and truly it’s comical. he cried so much. he has always been the most emotional of his siblings, By Far, so it’s not shocking by any means. but it’s so precious. he LOVES his family too like. yes they all love each other but maurice just… ahh. he really loves his family. and so the fact that… he’s going to have His Own???🥺🥺🥺 ough he just loses it. he’s so excited and he wants to tell adam & belle and eloise’s mother RIGHT AWAY !!! but eloise is like heyyyy can we maybe just keep this between us for like. two seconds 🙃 and maurice says it will be SO HARD to keep this from them but also he understands, so they do keep it under wraps for just a little while. (though he definitely accidentally tells his best friend xavier. who accidentally tells his brother sebastian. who cannot help but tell his wife, juliette. WHO CANNOT HELP BUT TELL HER SISTER RENÉE— this family is so bad at keeping secrets. anyway.)

so lol maurice & eloise end up having SIX beautiful children. six!!! and they also always have dogs and cats and horses, eloise looooves animals very much. but their children!! ah!! they both were SURE that they’d have a boy first, but out came this precious baby girl. they were both so surprised (i think when eloise told him it was a girl, maurice’s first words were: “are you sure??” lmao) but OUGHHH they both fell in love with her so quickly, of course. maurice wanted to name her eloise, after her mother, but eloise didn’t quite want to do that, so they settled on a name adjacent: eliana. eliana rachel, after eloise’s mother. the following five are: adrien maurice, théodore adam, hugo vincent, isabelle claire, and odette maria. and yes, reecy is the best papa ever to his six little ones.

he’s so immediately proud of them, always. he’s so loud about how he loves. he always has been, but it’s just amplified with his own little gremlins. he loves carrying them around on his shoulders (and they all love it too) and he’s very silly and he’s incredible at making them laugh, even when they’re crying or hurt or sick. they just can’t help but smile when papa comes to tell dumb jokes or silly stories. he’s very sweet and empathetic with them too, and he always tries to listen to them as well as his parents have always listened to him. and he ALWAYS makes sure his kiddos know how much he loves their mama, because that’s what his childhood was like, and it made him feel so safe 🥹🤧

eloise is an incredible mama too, of course. she’s the quieter, more reasonable parent, if that wasn’t obvious lmao, but she adores her babies. she loves to be with them outside and teach them about animals and nature. she loves to hear their wild stories. some of them are so much like their father, she can’t help but laugh. and they often seek her advice, because of how even-keeled she is. and she, too, always makes sure that they know how much she loves their papa. she loves being reece’s wife, she loves sharing life with him, even as INSANE as that man will always be. life’s an adventure with him, and she’d follow him anywhere.

as for adam & belle being grandparents, aaaahhhhh they love it so much honestly. of course adam had some existential qualms about Aging and all that. but the moment he held little newborn adam ii in his arms,,, yeah it was over. he’s WEAK for his grandbabies, he’s PATHETIC. they walk all over him, truly. belle obviously loves being a grandma. she’s a very fun active grandma, always making up games and projects for them to do. alwayyys telling fun stories that get more fabricated every time she tells them. adam is like a quiet old bear as a grandfather. of course, adam and belle aren’t particularly OLD when they first become grandparents, but, adam’s always been an old soul. and his baby HAVING a baby is enough to make him feel decrepit. and they certainly take the energy right out of them. did i mention when all’s said and done, adam and belle end up with sixteen grandchildren? oh yeah. this castle will get SO much more chaotic than it already is >:3

but yeaaaah they love their grandbabies! very very much!! i think belle was with renée & juliette when they delivered each of their babies, which was very special (and also sort of healing for belle, who of course did not get to have that experience with her own mother.) — and she offered to be with eloise too, of course!! but eloise is a bit more private and she had her own mother to be with her, which belle totally understands💙💙 she adores her daughter-in-law. belle’s actually the one who met her first!! but now i’m rambling, let’s answer the final question lol

okay, dear beloved maurice senior. so the short answer is YES he does get to become a great-grandfather. but like i said earlier, since i’m not tooooo clear on the actual timeline, and how old everyone is when they get married/become parents, AND because i’m not even sure how old maurice sr. is when he dies, it’s hard to gauge exactly how many of his great-grandchildren he meets. he definitely meets renée’s first son adam. and most likely juliette’s first daughters, twins mary & delilah. (this is exciting because she got the twin gene from maurice! he had twin younger brothers, felix & nicholas. so it’s like !!!!!!!!!!!! very cool.) but after that,,, aaahhh i’m not certain! i can’t say for sure if he gets to meet reecy’s kiddos. he definitely gets to MEET eloise, i THINK. but yeah the adult-kiddos timeline is definitely more hazy to me than when they’re younger. but yes, maurice does get to become a great-grandfather, and he loves his family SOOOOO much 🥹🥹🥹 imagine! all this beauty and chaos, just because he got lost in the woods one stormy night🤧

• a physicist who's been around since the early 1800s, and has been wandering the earth since then as a ghost

• yet another victim of the temsik meteorite. was exposed to it after it crashed and broke into many fragments, one of them piercing ana through the eye which fortunately (or unfortunately) didn't kill her

• originally had the power to travel back in time 4 minutes to a person's death, but eventually lost these powers over the years though gained the ability to see into the future. though her visions are few and far between

• a bit of an old soul (literally and figuratively) with a thing for machinery. doesn't emote or talk that much and can accidentally come off as cold or callous, but is a lot more involved than you think

• doesn't trust the government at ALLLL. girl is literally acab

• dedicated her unlife to studying the temsik, but refuses to share her studies in fear of what people might do with her findings

• can 'launch' objects in the direction that they're facing as her ghost trick

Been obsessing over the fact that my old oc, Artie, and Kinitopet are like so one in the same it's actually crazy.

Pink AI that's friendly on the surface, is actually really clingy and obsessive at times. Lonely and really just trying to fulfill a core objective as set by their creator or other influences, someone or something that they look up to as a godly figure maybe.

They both act as your friendly AI assistant, Artie is just for a specific program, while Kinito just gets to be his own thing.

Both want you to stay with them. Both will go out of their way to do things to make sure that happens.

im very new to fl so i might be missing some lore things, but why is the vake yearner so desperate to obtain hearts? from my understanding, when you die, the psychopomp there is chill to let you go so long as you show him your sick chess skills. is there something else im missing?

there's one thing you're missing, yes- the vake yearner is a noman!!

in-game/in fallen london canon, nomen are a christmas-exclusive companion with a special decaying mechanic. they're always made in the image of your FLPC (essentially being a clone of them) and they will almost always die, no matter what, come the end of winter.

when your "noman's friend" quality hits zero, the noman melts, and is removed from your inventory forever. there is no way to save it. there is no way to keep it. you can only watch and wait.

there are special challenges to keep the noman alive for an unusually long time (the longest and most difficult of these being the memories of a doubled spring achievement, which requires keeping it alive until early may) but beyond easter, sustaining the noman is pretty much mathematically impossible. it requires an absurd amount of expensive items that will take multiple years of grinding to accumulate, and overall it's just not worth it in the long run.

all nomen die. that's just what they do.

...............except, well, the vake yearner is a special case. she can sustain herself- for the most part- completely independently, with no assistance required from her original self (the scoundrel) nor her makers (the scientist and the academic). additionally, and probably far more importantly, she does not melt. unlike all other nomen, she can last forever provided she has a steady supply of sorrow and blood. she was even created in the middle of summer!

...but she can last forever only if she has a steady supply of sorrow and blood. because if she does melt, well...

that's it. she's done. she's a noman. she's never going to come back. once she dies, she dies for good.

[1] What first impression do they typically make? Are they likeable from the get go, or take time to grow on people?

Okay first - I really appreciate mutuals playing this game with me. Because it's not even stuff I've asked myself about my characters!

Viedyn- most would find him sociable or even charismatic, but guarded. "Likeable" is a strong word for an evil aligned Drow. But yes, I imagine if Viedyn saw a benefit in it, he'd come across as very likeable.

He's accustomed to having to placate people above him. Especially his Matron and her sisters. He's adept at reading people and masking his true feelings. This means that he can appear charming even when he's seething inside, which makes him a dangerous person to cross.

Durafein - Standoffish and a bit skittish. A few courtiers resorted to literally ambushing him because he's elusive. He's definitely not making fast friends.

What's interesting about Durafein, though, is he DOES grow on people. It takes him a long time to relax around anyone new. But eventually, as long as the person hasn't given him reason to be guarded or suspicious, he'll start to open up. He'll begin to do "normal" things like banter and eat/drink with others. He won't SEEK company but if someone he considers "safe" asks or just happens to be there he won't turn them away. When he gets comfortable enough that he enjoys being around someone, he becomes protective of them in the way that a guard dog is protective. So he may not necessarily CARE about your problems - but he'll enthusiastically eliminate the source for you.

She's from a moderately warm climate, so she definitely prefers that to being cold! That said, she's thick and hardy, so actually the worst thing about a cold climate would be having to wear BOOTS

1) big fight with that fucking prick Roscoe at the Cricket, and the even bigger fallout with her family afterwards; 2) offering to investigate the strange noises in the manor just outside the town of Storm Ridge, a choice which ultimately led directly to her death, and to the strange resurrection(s) that followed-- the ramifications of which we're still untangling; 3) encountering Herself, brought to life by the lich that killed her, and finally understanding the full weight of what that means

okay SO.

Victor is a new destiny OC of mine I created when I went "fuck it" and decided to make the edgy guy OC I always wanted.

He's a Warlock and a bit of a loner, having lived pretty much on his own since. the Incident (accidentally killing the person who had just been using him ever since he was revived). As a result, he's kinda unaware of a lot of social norms, and doesn't really care to learn them. It takes him a LONG time to trust someone enough to call them his friend. It hasn't happened yet, and never will if Victor has anything to say about it.

However, his first instinct when someone else is in danger is to help them, even as he goes back to his closed off self right after the danger's passed. He doesn't want anyone to feel like they owe him anything, and most of all wants to have as little impact on anyone as possible so they'll leave him alone (he has a huge soft spot for little kids and animals though, and his apartment in the Last City is FULL of plants that he gives names to). there's a heart of gold in there but it's buried DEEP.

FE OC Week day 1: Introductions! Today I would very much love to introduce Emyr, my first 3H oc who I made 2 years ago! He's the (illegitimate, kinda) grand prince of Itha; aka Rufus' heir. He's a few years older than Dima and, long story very short: he ran away during the aftermath of the Tragedy for a number of reasons and joined up with Jeralt's Mercs (with his little sister) under the alias "Robyn."

He gets found out in the aftermath of Conand Tower when he protected Dimitri with his mask literally coming off (a mask that I still haven't designed as of yet). He goes back home, almost gets executed by Cornelia as an "accomplice" to Rufus' murder, and becomes the Grand Duke to help hold what's left of Faerghus together.

He later becomes a Griffin Knight and thus has a griffin named Sirin who's been with him since childhood. Emyr has a great respect and fondness for his uncle Lambert, his childhood best friend Glenn, and complicated feelings towards Rufus. Much of his story revolves around how he interacts with the various influences in his life and who he wants to ultimately be as a lord and a person. His mother's family is from the Ruska region and have long connections to Sreng. @fe-oc-week

A lot of his skills start elevated because 1) he's already been to Garreg Mach before and is a mercenary currently and 2) he's meant to be a unit who's immediately usable and on-par with the units you've already been teaching. All of his skill ranks come from friends or family who helped to teach him or previous experiences he's had.

Just a note on the brawling: he's not bad at it, he just avoids it cause he doesn't know if he can always keep his strength in-check. Same reason he avoids Axes, though he also finds those unwieldy.
