they say it like they did something, but all they do is ignore CONTEXT and try to twist and ignore things to fit their narrative.

CONTEXT MATTERS

They just see the word spark and see the people not together and are like see we got you

But please read the words before and after the word spark and see the context

"spark" is used to show a character feeling an intense emotion. And intense emotion sparking through them. But what matters is the context it is used in. Is it romantic or not. Let's see in Gwynriel's case:

I don't think it needed to be spelled out, but it is not even a spark that Lydia felt but her powers, the power recognize her and hence her actual powers sparking not a spark (as in emotion used in other) she felt but her actual fire powers sparking because apparently flame sparking is too complex for people to comprehend.

SJM used the word spark a lot and in different situations, she actually spells out the emotion the person feels sparking through them, either she shows it to show romantic interest and mates 99% when it's used as "something" sparked/glowed (e.g.- feysand, huntlar, ruhnlidia etc.) otherwise she spells out the emotion.

Tbh i am not surprised that a person who openly talked about having drinking problems since 1d days, because of how crazy 1d worked has been agressive. I also am not surprised- we've learned so much more about the real stories of things and about the guys' actual lives over the last years, and the story that has unfolded around Liam has been totally consistent throughout if you've been following it, and so the information Maya is telling us is shocking and upsetting but not difficult to believe. I was afab and whether I wanted it or not I was treated like a girl and experienced childhood as a girl. I am not out to many people in my life and in their eyes I am a girl.

as a genderqueer person I still experience and feel very connected to my girlhood and the solidarity that I have among girls and women because of shared experiences despite not often identifying as a girl myself. this is because of many factors including socialization, oppression and personal identity. truly can’t believe most people I know (and quite a lot of people online as well) still don’t understand that the oppression I have experienced as a queer person who was afab and the oppression I have experienced being seen as a girl are interconnected and that we have to address multiple layers of discrimination simultaneously if we want anything to change. this is. not new information. There were assholes right and left bragging that they were on the aphobe block list. Shit, I've seen people across other social medias recently bragging about it. It's still common. As an ace person we are still scared, people still talk crap(albeit not as loudly), and next to nobody as much as bats an eye at it or says anything to contradict it.

I don't think younger/newer users fully grasp the shit show that ace discourse was around 2014-17

It was so hostile that, to this day, discussions that begin to derail just enough can make me physically nauseous, some specific mockery trigger crying sessions years later. We lost most accounts with any sort of ace positivity. There was no information, no support, and all this damage was done predominantly by other queer people.

All this to say that you, however you identify yourself, should be engaging with aphobic comments the same way you do any hate. We don't sugarcoat or try to be comprehensive with people who are blatantly racist, homophobic or terfs, so why give it a pass just because it's coming from a queer person? I see how this tolerance goes and it's done enough damage as it is.
