Here's what typical vestment for The Odomache looks like.

The pelt of the lion that was originally sacrificed and worn raw for her incarnation is retained throughout the years of service, preserved and fashioned into a headdress and cape (obscuring a helmet). This can get dreadfully hot in the summer but no one ever said that being a hollowed out pathway for God's spirit was easy.

The body is always obscured near completely, barring the hands, feet, and parts of the face (philosophically, these are the body's least vulnerable parts as its modes of Action, though this is in large part a practicality). This is partially a matter of psychological enforcement that this person is not Just a human, and partly a matter of protecting the part of God's living spirit that's in a wholly human body. Conceptually, the Odomache Enables tremendous power rather than being intrinsically powerful in of herself, so all manners of protecting the metaphysically vulnerable human body are of tantamount importance in her case.

The complete obscuring of any identifiable feminine form is also notably important to the underlying philosophies and biases involved. It is necessary that she is female, a condition ascribed a unique malleability to change and transformation (for good or harm), but the act of female/non-male sex and gender assignment also serves to uphold an underclass in a patriarchy that she By Necessity must be distanced from. Human hierarchies exist Within God rather than God having a place within human hierarchies, so in this philosophy it's natural for this particular person of high authority to not closely resemble a Human Authority.

This is still ultimately a human body existing at the top end of a human hierarchy (and in the dimension of religious thought, it a human body holding aspects of God most specifically concerned with maintaining concepts of 'right' civilization and hierarchy), so public-facing garb like this will still include a few mundane trappings of lordship such as this fancy gold khattanocuy displaying an image of an enemy being trampled by the Face Odomache as the guardian lion. Purely ceremonial garb for the Odomache hides the body in its entirety beneath the white cloak and forgoes all decoration save for the obligatory weaponry.

A sword and dagger is worn at all times as a matter of being the ultimate physical bastion of her society's military might, and she is always accompanied by a retinue of 'lieutenants' (Extremely elite servants/squires) who carry whatever other elements of her perpetual armament are not currently in use. These weapons are Completely ceremonial in nature (to the point that they're made or plated with gold rather than anything like, durable) and there is absolutely zero expectation that the Odomache will ever directly engage in combat (the times this has happened historically have been when things have gone horribly wrong).

Her face is usually masked in public, though this is not a strict necessity of the role and is forgone for some ceremonial purposes. On these occasion, it's standard to paint the face red to still partly obscure human features in the same fashion of battlefield Odonii. As the color of blood, it positively evokes bodily vitality and strength, the living spirit of the world itself and the mode of connection to God (and will also be reminiscent of the rite of incarnation during which she is Actually covered in blood)

Mark Cote Info Reveal- Silvermist's Quest

(Long Post Warning)

Me and a few friends are doing our own searches for information on the elusive Tinker Bell draft. We were able to secure an interview with Mark Cote, who was on the film for both a 2d and 3d version. Unfortunately, we were not able to save many recordings in good quality and mine has no audio. I also failed to transcribe our meeting, but hopefully this will not be our only meeting.

Before the original movie was put into 3D, it had several character quests all linked to the narrative to save Neverland. I thought it would be like Disneytoon's failed Enchanted Tales series, but unlike Enchanted Tales or Cinderella 2 the segments wouldn't be so self contained. It was like the movie Fantasia, but connected through a larger plot. There would also be a ticking time bomb in the form of the worlds of the mainland and Neverland combining due to the theft of pixie dust by Tinker Bell and friends before they earned it messing up the natural order. He told us that all 5 character quests would have to be approved by management, so he experienced delays in production. Several quests were greenlit but they had a hard time when they got to Silvermist and Iridessa.

We asked in a riddle, what brings water life? It took a while to get an answer, but @princessquinnella was reminded of water fairies in the books. The thing is though, Silvermist was conceived pretty differently from Rani. Despite being a water fairy, she was a repressive and pragmatic character. If you had a Disney Fairies DVD that came with the toys, you might remember the line "Still waters run deep" in reference to Silvermist. The pond and lotus where she lived, is implied to be "Stillwater Springs" or Lilypad Pond from what we know. x Here is the description from the illusive "pitch book"

Firstly, Mark told us for this "epic story" Silvermist's quest would be next to last. None of the fairies can fly because of the magic has dissipated. The story starts in her home of Stillwater Springs/Lilypad Pond, she creates a magical cloud named Tempest to fly. Tempest is an opposite to SIlvermist, he's a joyful and free spirited cloud like a impish child. Like in the final cut, there are 4 seasonal areas? There would be 5 themed areas in Pixie Hollow where each fairy lived. Many inanimate things live here in this word inspired by Art Nouveau.

She needs to fly on Tempest to reach the "water of life", and she travels to Pixie Hollow in a harsh desert area. She has a small glass vile to collect the "water of life" and flies over the stretch of desert looking everywhere. There's a color script of this segment somewhere on AODF (dont know where to link), where it is blurry and you can see the desert.

Silvermist and Tempest even meet other clouds on their journey, but they are grumpy and stern adult clouds.

Here, on the color guide- we see things a bit different. There seems to be some sort of snowdrop-esque flower in place of Tempest- but also some clouds, so I'm not sure what it could be.

Silvermist has been in the sky for a while now in this desert, but cannot find the water of life. Suddenly! Tempest, the child cloud starts to die. Silvermist is scared, because her friend is dying and she hasn't found the water of life. She sits down defeated... and starts to cry.

He showed us a piece I am very familiar with:

It is then, when she is at her lowest- when she cries... Tempest is resurected, and she is able to save her friend and collect the Water of Life, the quest item she needs to save Pixie Hollow.

Lastly, I should say the desert like areas in Pixie Hollow remind me of the elusive art from the mysterious artbook "The Art of Judith Holmes Clarke" (excuse quality, its a short frame in an IG video)

Now it's time for the next quest to reveal information about, there should be 2 left with more info to share with you...

I keep seeing the odd post here and there mentioning that Ballister Blackheart is white in the Nimona comic and it hurts my heart a little each time I see somebody say that bc he’s actually not! Ballister Blackheart is canonically Asian in the comic, he is East Asian and simply has light skin.

I just find it saddening and wrong (granted I’m white myself so maybe it’s not my place to have an opinion on) to erase a character who is canonically a poc just because they have light skin :/

This is not a diss to people who didn’t know or people that were mistaken, that’s sort of the reason I’m making this post, so more people can know the truth rather than be misinformed or assume incorrectly.

I like to imagine that all playable characters in genshin are at least aware of eachother.

I don't care that they've never interacted in canon! I think it's really fun to make up an elaborate story linking two completely unrelated characters, and I think we should all do it.

Here are some off the top of my head:

Rosaria and Ningguang - Rosaria was going about her business, crossed the Liyue boarder accidentally and beat up a bunch of treasure hoarder ass. The Qixing has eyes everywhere, Ningguang calls her to the jade chamber, not to scold her though, but rather to express great interest in future dealings. They now have tea whenever Rosaria feels like strolling to Liyue again.

Kaeya and Itto - penpals. Kaeya sent a letter addressed to Diluc during his 4 year rampage, it got entirely misdelivered ended up in Inazuma. Itto found it and decided to open it to see who it was from and if it was important enough to try to get delivered. Wrote Kaeya a letter back, saying something like "wassup bud, just letting yk your bros letter didn't make it to him. The 1 and Oni Arataki Itto (das me) found it, opened it up 2 tell you I did :D Love, Itto, coolest oni you'll meet AND the boss and founder of the famous Arataki Gang (named after me) ps. Congrats on the promo to calvary captin... I definitely know what that is and it sounds cool but not as cool as the gang. Lmk if you want to join :)" And Kaeya wrote back, because why not. Now he's got contacts in Inazuma too and is an honorary member of the gang repping it in Mond.

Collei and Sara - Tighnari had business in Inazuma, took Collei with him as her carer and superior. While he was doing his thing, Collei got lost and walked up to the nearest authority figure who just so happened to be Kujo Sara. She helped Collei get to where she needed to be. It's a one time encounter.

I am getting carried away because they're honestly really fun. I can understand why people have rare pairs and shit, even though all of these are meant purely platonically.

I’m deeply overthink the fact my interests are obscure that ranking how obscure they are shouldn’t even be a thing given they are all something a normie never fucking heard of HOWEVER I’ve finally concluded the order of my MAIN hyperfixations in “How much of this has a relevant online presence regardless if it debatably has a fandom” is:

Getter>Big O>Kikaider>Casshern>Jeeg

All of the mecha ones aren’t a shock because getter is crucial to the genre, big o is unique that every mecha fan at a point will hopefully have a obligation to check it out, and jeeg is sadly overlooked but we’ve been known.

Kikaider and Casshern I was going back and forth on them especially cause don’t get me wrong there’s still a fuck ton of casshern content online-especially compared to jeeg-but I’ve checked and the fandom for sins is DEAD, anytime I post about it it doesn’t get any buzz at all. Kikaider while the anime version is a bit overlooked the fact it’s known for at least the toku version helps it a bit, because I haven’t been in many Toku circles but it seems like a no brainer to check out. (Also the ishionmori pipeline helps, though jeeg sadly couldn’t get that benefit from being a technical Nagai mecha 💔)

I was mainly torn up about how known Kikaider was given how I never EVER saw it mentioned being a inspiration for mega man yet I always saw casshern mentioned, but I assume it might be due to fandom overlap even if I’ve met a handful of mega man fans who like toku. (Also mm only not counted on the list bc being real here it’s the most active fandom but I don’t fuck with the fandom itself LOL, besides my own corners)

Also if you’re wondering “Meg what about this other show you watched” and I didn’t mention? It likely wasn’t a hyperfixation 💀 (I’m sorry that I’m not a big 3 fan, my feelings about mazinger are complicated and I barely have interest to watch more Gundams after G)
