If you are a Pizza Maker ...Holy Thursday is your busiest day.

Might be headed to New York this fall. When do the bars/clubs stop serving alcohol?

Bars and clubs in NYC are allowed by law to stay open until 4AM. But in reality it will depend on the place, the staff, and how the night is going. In my experience, a neighborhood bar with one bartender will usually close around 1AM at the latest. On slow nights a lot of places will lock up earlier.

Major nightclubs will probably start "encouraging" the crowd to leave at around 3:30AM to ensure that everything goes smoothly. The most infamous clubs in NYC will have a few cop cars outside of them around this time to make sure nothing happens on the streets in front of the club.

On the flip side, dive bars in NYC will open in the early afternoon, around 2PM. Some of them open at noon. The most extreme Manhattan dive bar that I personally know of opens at 8AM, but I really would not recommend that place.
