i initially didn't like ernesto/fellow after i sat on playful land's ending for a while, but after articulating and organizing my thoughts with a friend i realised he was actually pretty great!

personally to me, there's a lot of intrigue to be found with that fox con artist.

playful land is in general a scarier concept, and it's supported by a scarier villain (than glomas) that feels like someone you might potentially find irl. chilling stuff,,,

Hear me out, I think Ernesto Foulworth/Fellow Honest was an interesting villain. And personally, I liked him more than Rollo.

The scary thing about Ernesto is that there are so many people like him and you may not even know it. Con artists. Scammers. Money hungry individuals. People with a vendetta against the world. You can hate him all you want. (I personally think a villain that you love to hate is a great villain.) But he definitely was in my opinion, a believable villain. His story honestly resembles Jamil in Book 4 if you think about it.

And to be frank, Ernesto actually succeeded at his job in turning the students into puppets. He only changed his mind last minute because his boss pissed him off.

So moral of the story is to always be on your Ps and Qs. Safety first! If your gut screams something is sketchy, likely chance it is.

There are many people like him who claim to be an Honest John but are really just a sly fox beneath that mask.

These two cards-- and even their ungroovied versions had such an impact towards me (with my praying for eel form cards since i first played book 3 back in january) and the people around me (my friends getting this card in their tiktok fyps and youtube recommendations despite not being into twst) that it's criminal to NOT mention them.
