3 MYTHS about nutrition that you should know...โฃ โฃ โžก๏ธ MYTH 1: Carbs make you gain fatโฃ โฃ Gaining weight is very different to gaining fat .. itโ€™s true that carbohydrates have a tendency to make you retain WATER WEIGHT .. but they do NOT make you gain fat (unless theyโ€™re consumed in excess like anything else)โฃ โฃ This is why people often see a fast (but temporary) reduction in weight when they first eliminate carbs .. but the problem with this is that itโ€™s normally just a loss of FLUID โฃ โฃ TIP: Gaining fat doesnโ€™t correlate to a singular macronutrient (like carbs) .. it only correlates to an excess of overall energy / caloriesโฃ โฃ โžก๏ธ MYTH 2: Eating packaged foods that claim to have โ€œreduced fatโ€ are the healthiest options to choose โฃ โฃ Think of it like this .. when you take something away - you have to replace it with something else...โฃ โฃ Foods that have been modified to reduce the fat content are typically loaded with SUGAR instead (this is what makes them flavoursome) โฃ โฃ TIP: Reduce packaged foods if possible otherwise seek options that havenโ€™t been overly modified โฃ โฃ โžก๏ธ MYTH 3: Eating regularly is important otherwise your metabolism will slow down which can lead to weight gain โฃ โฃ Your body expends energy in order to break down and digest food .. but this process typically only accounts for around 10% of your overall energy expenditure (followed by exercise, movement and other bodily functions) โฃ โฃ Therefore eating more frequently does NOT create a substantial difference in your metabolism or your ability to burn caloriesโฃ โฃ TIP: Focus on regulating your daily energy intake without obsessing over meal timesโฃ โฃ โžก๏ธ Make sure you check out the Meal Plans โ€œMy contacting usโ€. if youโ€™re looking for additional help with your nutrition (contact me from Bio)โฃ โฃ #gymfacts #facts #myth #fitnesstips #fitnessmyths #diet #dietmyths #gymtips #trainingtips #workoutinspiration #nutrition #nutritionknowledge #nutritionfacts #nutritionmyths #fitnesscoach #fitcoach #lifestylecoach #healthcoach #lifecoach #fitlife #fitlifestyle #instafit #instafacts #instagym #instapic #followforfollowback #likeandfollow #followandlike #followforfitness #truth https://www.instagram.com/p/CcGMc3Bskza/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Too many highly processed #carbs, and additional #sugars, consumed as a daily diet, has been shown to basically create diabetes of the brain. Insulin resistance of the brain. Yikes ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Unfortunately, this is many peoples diets these days. Adults, and children alike ๐Ÿ˜” While many believe the brain ๐Ÿง  needs sugars to perform, research has proven the brain is 60% fat, and it functions at much higher levels when fueled by ketones. Now, before you go full blown keto kick on me, this way of fueling your brain, and body, does NOT have to be achieved through full blown keto. Hard core isnโ€™t always best ๐Ÿ˜‰ Focusing on fat adaptation, burning fat as your primary fuel source ๐Ÿ”ฅ and being overall metabolically healthy is most likely our best target aim towards ๐ŸŽฏ Ridiculous amounts of research ๐Ÿ”ฌ today proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that cognitive brain function is directly impacted by diet, aka, food choices ๐Ÿคฏ Dementia and Alzheimerโ€™s as type III diabetesโ€ฆ..say it isnโ€™t so ๐Ÿง Ps, the optimal times to radically impact brain health for longterm smarts is in your 20โ€™s, 30โ€™s, and 40โ€™s. There are tests that can be done which can accurately predict what future brain loss one can have in their later years of life. If we could stop ๐Ÿ›‘ focusing on the superficial ๐Ÿ’ฉ of weight loss, and looks, and instead see those as the byproducts of overall health, maybe, just maybe, we could start taking our daily nutritional choices more seriously ๐Ÿ˜ณ and stick with them longterm ๐Ÿคท Donโ€™t keep waiting for magic ๐Ÿช„ to happen friends. Take control now! No matter your age. No matter where youโ€™re at in your journey, itโ€™s never to late to improve your daily quality of life. There are more than 50 known nutrients (including amino acids and fatty acids) and many more chemicals in food thought to influence human function and health. Nutrients do not exist in isolation, except for water and others in some pharmaceutical preparations. In foods, in the gut during digestion, fermentation, and absorption, in the blood during transport, and in cells during metabolism, nutrients interact with each other. Therefore, a particular nutrient should not be studied in isolation, but integrated with other nutrients and seen in the context of total body function. The study of nutrition also includes how to determine nutrient requirements to make recommendations for intakes and how nutritional status is monitored by measuring l intakes, anthropometry, body composition, biochemical markers reflecting nutritional status, and the clinical signs of malnutrition. This knowledge of nutrients and their functions will enable the nutritionist to advise individuals what and how much to eat. #knowledgeispower๐Ÿ“š #knowledge #nutrition #healthyknowledge #nutritionknowledge #reading #bookstagram #postoftheday #fitness #dietarysupplements #dietitian #diettherapy #nutritherapie #dietclinics #unmedietclinique #dietitiansoni #fitnessfreaks #healthyyou #alllivesmatter #all #micronutrients #necessaire (at Rohini, Delhi) https://www.instagram.com/p/CGPGvN_JWXf/?igshid=1l8dycvl3w7so

If you do that, itโ€™s a big mistake. The egg industry, by law, must print the day the eggs are packaged. Itโ€™s called the Julian date. They use a 001 to 365 system. 001 would mean eggs where packaged January 1st. If you went by sell by date, your eggs very well could be weeks old ๐Ÿคฎ The only available regular vital farms eggs where packaged on 009. Today is the 26th ๐Ÿ˜ณ Thatโ€™s 17 days ago. No thank you! The organic version was packaged 019. 7 days old. Better ๐Ÿ˜‰ When you appreciate the concept that food is your medicine, your pharmacy, your ticket to amazing daily health, you donโ€™t make sacrifices. The extra dollar invested tonight is guaranteed to save me thousands down the line. No extra doctor appointments, pills ๐Ÿ’Š or wasted trips for this guy โš”๏ธ #ershredhealthcoach #nutritionknowledge #nutritionfacts #nutritiontips #eggs #eggseggseggs #foodismedicine #foodislife #foodisfuel #healthcoach #ershred #protein https://www.instagram.com/p/CZOuZgdOg7b/?utm_medium=tumblr

Kids brekkie switch ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿผ . A hungry child is not a happy child. Little switches for extra healthy fat & protein can keep your child fuller for longer ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป. . Reducing salty spreads is also important to balance daily sodium levels for children. A daily adequate intake (AI) for sodium for a 3 year old is between 200-400mg a day. . ๐Ÿ“ˆHigh levels of sodium can stress the kidneys & blood pressure. Little spread switches can help with balancing sodium levels: ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿผ Switch spreads to no added sodium versions such as peanut butter or avocado. ๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐ŸปUse reduced sodium baked beans & soups. ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฟ Add herbs to flavour dinner rather than sauces. ๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿพ Avoid too much sedentary behaviour this can lead to more processed food consumption and poor utilisation of sodium. . #parentlife #kidsfood #nutritionknowledge (at Kingston (C)) https://www.instagram.com/p/BqelvdtlG0U/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=snx0j9f7767n
