Okay so Kevin and a bunch of other people are snatched up a branch of the Plumbers. They're subjected to what is clearly for him painful experimentation, him and most of those that aren't presumably killed being trained as child soldiers by the creepy, manipulative, and most likely violent asshole running the joint. This same asshole not only eventually casts them all out into the wastes after wiping their memories, but also reprograms at least Kevin into a sleeper agent, including giving him memories of a fake father in order to push him towards joining the Plumbers himself.

This same fucker eventually comes to collect him for more experimenting, he and his team doing a shitload of damage just because they can. When he catches him and begins to take him away, despite having an idea of their plans the head Plumber in the region- his girlfriend's grandfather- only stops them when he realizes the asshole has mucked with his head as well to get him to keep an eye on his "experiments" (the actual word Max uses to describe them by the way).

After an escape followed by a long and stressful ordeal that ends in Kevin defeating asshole and his team, finally the Plumbers do something. The highest up in the Plumbers shows up and not only directly states that this isn't getting out, nobody can ever know, and that that these fuckers are above the law, but then just takes all the evidence and the base and otherwise leaves Team Asshole in the Null Void. An act that isn't even as big a punishment as it is for other people due to their training and still having basic supplies in their specialty uniforms, and does nothing to protect people from them and the brainwashing the asshole is very much and very openly capable of. So really the fuckers have at best been unleashed on a populated area with nothing left to lose.

And then the higher up just leaves, without sparing so much as a glance at the victims of a so-called experiment that they didn't keep any sort of eye on at best. There is and will be no trial, the only people held accountable have just been dropped on a load of unsuspecting people with nothing to protect them, after all this lot are above the law. There is and will never be any sort of acknowledgement of the trauma the victims all gone through, or even so much as an 'it sucks you went through that'. The matter is dealt with, everybody is expected to sit down, shut up, and be glad it's supposedly over.

And then this fucking show had the audacity to try to tell me Kevin went back to working with the Plumbers after that.

I can’t believe her friends think they can cover up what happened by saying she “stole a couple fics over the years” but she’s sorry now and she’s grown in the *checks calendar* month since this happened. Those same friends refused to hold her accountable and continued to send her anons and fuel her over inflated sense of importance, making her whole apology in the first place null and void. She isn’t ever going to learn because she is constantly having smoke blown up her ass by people who refuse to acknowledge what she did and think her crying in private to THEM justifies what she did to all the writers and people whose content she plaigarized.

She continuously stole multiple fics after being called out on multiple occasions, knowing the severity of the situation and not giving a fuck, ignored anyone who DID call her out, had her friends make posts about it all just being “hate” and that it isn’t tolerated, and has had her friends deal with the whole fallout since.

Stealing fics is the cherry on the cake too, her whole presence on here was built on stolen content (she even made text posts of stolen tweets so this sugary sweet personality she gives off probably isn’t even hers in the first place) and generated by AI - and anybody downplaying that fact when we don’t even know at the surface which content that was because she deleted her blog and ran to clear the evidence (a blog which at the time was engaging people in heavy kink discussions based around her fics and glamorizing seriously dangerous and unhealthy sexual acts that could result in literal damage to the body) has been brainwashed by her whole act.

The whole situation was disgusting, how it was handled by her friends at the time and is still being handled by them is disgusting. You can’t just block anyone who speaks out about it and say it wasn’t their place and it was just seeking drama when that girl rocked this community and didn’t care to face up to the consequences.

And announcing a comeback through another person without even arranging to make a post yourself is so unabashedly stupid. It’s so obvious she hasn’t learned a thing or she wouldn’t still be hiding behind her friends and their insistence to call anyone who speaks out a hater. @/kawhh is making herself and her friend look even worse.

The sad thing is that people will fall for it all again though because they’re creating their own narrative. It’s a hard pill to swallow as someone who has been in this community for so long to watch her avoid responsibility again and again.

the one positive that has come from this situation has been the anons I’ve received on this blog seeing right through her bullshit. I have seen the backlash other blogs are getting, trying to defend her and play down the whole situation. but it’s so refreshing to know everyone I’ve spoken to in this blog has been able to see its utter nonsense and insanity

and I think as long as there’s a group of us who don’t give a shit about her or her friends or the hate they send people calling them out, then we can at least try to prevent it from happening again. the people in the past made the mistake of being decent to her and reaching out privately to sort things out (and I don’t blame them for being nice, respectful humans). but if she has no shame, then I see no issue in calling it out publicly

i love knowing pokemon lore but just like choosing to ignore it half the time, especially regarding legendaries and mythicals.

honeslty my fav has always been urogi and in real-life context, i would be drawn to think that he would be the best yandere choice. like, he is the embodiment of positive emotions; everyone would like that, right? he fluffs up when he sees you, is happy to keep you company and loyal to his bird-like side, whenever he would see some shiny piece of something, let it be a jewel or radom metal or anything he likes, really, he would bring it to you and offer it as a mating gift^_^ so everything's perfect, right?

wrong😖 i mean all of the things above r still true, but urogi can get super overwhelming and your drawings + the you-mention-a-new-name post lowk highk made me scared of himm LMAOO like he is just so menacing, his devotion and love feel just super threatening no matter how sweet he tries to appear.

then, maybe the most gentle one, aizetsu? 🙅 nuh-uh, no. i actually really love your aizetsu cs i never thought about him in like this passive-aggressive manipulative/victim-complex toxic boyfriend light but it just fits him soo much! out of all the 4, he'd probably b the most emotionally drainig to be around.

sekido doesn't seem like a bad option too, if you put aside his bad temper... meaning, putting all of him aside lol. i mean, he seems like a guy who's dealing for the first time with very intense romantic feelings and his first instinct is to raise his guard up at like maximum security level🙁 all of his worries and uttered love confessions come out the wrong way and it just makes his darling withdraw from him, wich makes him panick. he tries to 'make things right' only scaring them further. his darling doesn't want to see him, spending all of their time w the others and he eventually lashes out on them and his siblings. even though he's only trying to look out for everyone..

soo i really think karaku is the better option. hes just a chill guyTM who might or might not be trying to get under his darling's pants sometimes, but he's so carefree (convinced that they won't never ever manage to escape since everyone is always watching them 24/7) that he just kind of lets them do whatever. like yeah you wanna go out? sure. have fun. if their darling is coming to seek any of them for comfort, it would most likely be him.

All pros and cons you stated are pretty accurate but you missed Karaku's cons. Surprise, he also is awful like the rest! Yes, he does let you go out and about, but not without consequences. He does things that could get others (or you) hurt on purpose or to save you from problems (that he made) You probably won't get overwhelmed if the others are there to regulate everyone, so you'll be a semi regular couple. Harem?

Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing as the saying goes. Karaku is too carefree. He's too confident that you'll bounce back if wounded. He's too confident you'll still come back to him at the end of the day.

They're parts of a whole at the end of the day, they need each other so they dont make you lose your mind, and life. The worst of them can end up being your saviors and vise versa.

As for our special hedonist, Karaku likes to PORTRAY himself as a pretty relaxed guy, to you specifically. He's not too pushy unless he knows you won't be too put off by it. But that damn thrill seeker side.....

He gets bored easily and constantly seeking pleasure like an addict. How do you get the best hit? After a disaster, of course! A disaster he made since things can get pretty quiet without a push.

Karaku wants your praise and favor, but he's not going to ruin his image in front of you. (Un)Fortunately for him, he knows you aren't able to have your eyes on him 24/7. In that downtime, he can do whatever he wants, like causing disaster around you or others. Little things that snowball and have you calling them (specifically him) to "save" you.

It's a good day if all Karaku does is try seducing you.

I have more general headcannons for the Overwatch heroes

Bastion has yet to really figure out their gender, they identify as he/him currently because of their relationship with Torbjorn but they are still discovering parts about who they are

Bob used to have a voice but Ashe’s parents had it removed when Ashe started to treat Bob as her parent instead of them, it had the opposite effect that they had intended. Ashe is determined to find a copy of Bob’s voice so he can tell her his stories again and talk to her while he makes meals and hum to her when she just needs a hug

When Efi began to create Orisa’s Javelin update she let Orisa pick out her own hairstyle, there are several hair styles stored away because Orisa went slightly overboard with picking one out, Efi is currently debating getting into selling hair styles to Omnics she’s made so many that she’s become that good

Brigitte had a habit growing up of trying to make mech suits for various animals, from a jet pack mech for a cat to a flying suit for a squirrel, Torbjorn already warned Bastion that she may try to do this with Ganymede, but he also knows that Reinhardt encourages the behavior

Widowmaker’s brainwashing did not simply affect her current emotions, the way that the brainwashers ensured it worked was that they altered her memories of her past emotions so that she felt like she was faking them instead of actually feeling them. Once that process was done then they implanted that she only feels real emotions when she kills someone and implanted the urge to kill Gerard. It also has to be stated that barely anyone knows that she is actually brainwashed, the only people who do are those that brainwashed her, some of them are dead, and Doomfist. So most people thinks this is the real Amelie instead of the fake. Angela and a few others just thinks she suffered a psychotic breakdown

Ana has a small holo disk that holds articles about all of Fareeha’s achievements, from her promotions to her completed missions, everything. Fareeha does not know about this

Ramattra has been analyzing certain individuals in order to create generals for Null Sector, or at the very least super soldiers (this is in reference to the Null Sector skins some heroes have, I want all of them to be canon to the lore)

Sombra hates hacking Omnics, the first time she tried it felt so wrong that she ended up getting sick. The issue that arises is that with manipulations there is always some sort of choice, no matter how much of an illusion one may be, but hacking an Omnic takes away all choice, and Sombra hates that because it makes her feel like the people she’s hunting down to uncover the conspiracy. She was sick for several days after she hacked several Omnics in Numbani for Doomfist

D.Va is a really good at making meals, and I mean like from scratch, it was something she learned to do when first entering the streaming scene because she didn’t want to become reliant on cup noodles and snacks for sustenance, which is ironic because she absolutely sucks at cooking games, which is made further ironic because Tracer, who can’t make a meal to save her life is amazing at cooking games

Doomfist’s philosophy was born when he lost his arm, he cried out for help but no one came even though he could see that people heard him, but no effort was made to save him. He had to force himself out of the rubble pinning him down, and forcefully tearing his trapped arm off to get out. That is when his philosophy first began to develop

Lifeweaver is constantly studying plants to try and find new effects he could create with his biolight that could help people, but the first plants he researched after he left Vishkar were some of Satya’s favorites. She had a small garden that she would trim and keep from overgrowing, with a bonsai tree to round it all together. The first plants he designed and created after leaving Vishkar and joining the Arcology were from that garden, he keeps a replica in his room to remember his best friend

here was my theory on the timeline

In Eichenwalde, Reinhardt didn't listen. He kept rushing in. He lost an eye and everyone died. He left that battlefield believing it was because none of them were strong enough.

Adhabu Ngumi, seeing the Overwatch group lacked anyone big and strong, decided to join them once he took care of the Omnic Crisis in Africa.

Torbjörn died on that mission in Istanbul. Angela took this personally, and Brigitte grew up despising Overwatch for failing to save him

The Hashimoto clan hired Reinhardt to help kill the Shimada clan. They kept Hanzo and cast Genji adrift, putting him in a ship to Australia. They also trained Kiriko.

Satya was on a plane that crashed over Australia. She used what hardlight tech she had left and became a high ranking Junker, as did her new armored ninja friend.

Overwatch was unable to help in Canada, leaving Sojourn embittered and vengeful.

Adhabu found the young Akande Ogundimu, and trained the boy to be his successor, having saved him from his potential attacked Akinjide Adeyemi. Akande quickly became a powerful force of good for Overwatch.

Cassidy never ended up with Deadlock. Instead, in Mexico, Overwatch found a young Sombra, and took her in.

Angela and Tracer both joined Blackwatch, tired of the Overwatch's incompetence. Unfortunately, Gabriel was a harsh boss, no one ever being enough to help him, Tracer too weak and Angela too merciful.

Talon captured Ana instead of Amelie, gaining a deadly sniper. In turn, Amelie stepped up after Ana killed Gèrard and took her eye.

Zenyatta went with Ramattra that day. His face was damaged, leading him to use a new face with a singular eye.

Without a hacker to cover his tracks, Mauga quickly brought Baptiste back to Talon, where they brainwashed him into the elite assassin Scorpion.

When Overwatch fell, Angela made sure Gabriel didn't make it without issue, leaving him hospitalized in a coma. She and Tracer joined Talon, who had also employed Reinhardt, Brigitte, and Sojourn, as well as a reprogrammed and upgraded Bastion unit. Angela quickly took over Talon, showing no mercy, now leading the terrorist organization fueled by Vengeance.

Ok this, is amazaing, it makes sense and I'm honestly already invested in a story like this. It's a really good concept for a general Reverse or "What if" universe.

The shitty thing is the only character in that timeline that actually fits the concept of a mirror universe is Reinhardt. I'm gonna be honest and also say the Doomfist one is also highly likely cause sometimes in a mirror universe some minor characters do stay the same so the story makes sense.

I'm probably going to make my own timeline for this universe at some point but I'm going to wait for the game mode for this event to come out cause I know damn well that there is going to be interactions for that.

But for now I'll share what we can guess and what is confirmed about this universe.

Ana most likely shot out Amelie's eye in this universe, either it was an assassination attempt pre Amelie joining OW or it was after Amelie joined. However there is another explanation for Amelie's eye.

Amelie's eye could also be a stand in for Moira's experimentation in this universe, as Amelie's other eye is still yellow when they are originally a black/brown, and the scare on her chibi spray is more similar to either a slashing scar or a surgical scar.

Tracer killed Ramattra in this universe, meaning the Alive cinematic still happened. It also means that, most likely, Mondatta and Zenyatta run Null Sector.

Echo's Stealth/Camo skin seems to be her MW skin as new voice lines have been added. That and the addition of a Talon Athena implies that Mina Liao joined Talon.

That's all I can say for now cause I don't have the skins (yet) and no one posts anything apparently, but I'll post updates as soon as I can.

Everything Good about Sonic Forces' Plot

1: It’s nice of Sonic to ask people if they’re okay after he smashes some robots in front of them.

2: It’s new that Sonic apparently has to face off with Metal Sonic and Chaos and Zavok and Shadow all at the same time except they’re just solid illusions.

3: I get to see Zavok get attacked, even though it’s not Zavok.

4: It sure is competent of Infinite that he can move faster than Sonic to dodge him.

5: It’s realistic that they just repeatedly get to hit him until he’s knocked out because he’s completely outnumbered and Metal Sonic and Shadow are as fast as you’d expect.

6: And he moves all over the place in the mean time so it still looks visually interesting.

7: It also ends with a bang because he’s thrown into a wall.

8: Knuckles says he’s happy to see his friends are alive.

9: It’s nice that there’s a new recruit to go help Sonic’s friends in the fight against Eggman’s robots.

10: And they took that fight seriously enough to give their group a name.

11: Tails shows compassion for Omega being sad that he couldn’t fix him.

12: Classic Sonic wants to save Tails.

13: Sonic gets to escape his cell.

14: I get to see Zavok fall over, though it turns out he’s an illusion. Since Sonic fans hate the Zeti, it’s good writing that he’s an illusion.

It’s good that this was written so that the writer didn’t have to write Sonic somehow winning against a version of Shadow who isn’t holding back at all, aside from his laziness from being in a team. He's lucky he didn’t take advantage of his super speed to run around and hit him a bunch while he was talking.

30: Shadow thought to use Chaos Control, that’s good! THAT’S Shadow.

31: Eggman’s main city is Metropolis Zone again! It’s a harmless name, AND a name from one of the main Genesis games from the roots of the series, so what better place to be his capital city?

32: I kind of like the effect of the Rookie remembering Sonic’s encouragement.

33: Infinite got bested by the Rookie and asks why.

34: I like the character moment that Eggman has tons of selfies.

35: Knuckles acknowledges and lampshades that he doesn’t just like sitting on the bench.

36: At least Sonic is smart enough to lampshade that they should’ve just used the real Metal Sonic or built more of him.

He wasn’t confusingly mean to someone unprovoked. This isn’t a separate point because that’s the bare minimum that you shouldn’t have to compliment, like, “ Sonic’s blue in this game. “

65: Back in Episode Shadow, Rouge tells Shadow that a report from the intelligence division located a place full of robots that’s one of Eggman’s bases. This establishes that like we already imagined Shadow spends his days looking for Eggman’s robots to smash, and Rouge tells him where to go to do that. So he’s in a group dedicated to heroically fighting against Eggman’s tyranny against freedom.

66: It’s established that Shadow was pragmatic enough to destroy Infinite’s defense squad. He did something harsh and it was the right thing to do because if he chose not to they would’ve gone on to do far more evil things, and he would’ve been responsible for them.

67: Shadow beat Infinite easily because he constantly used Chaos Control.

This implies that The Null is sort of like The Clergy, in the sense that it has enough autonomy to create its own aberrations. Which is... Horrendously dangerous, to say the very least. 🤔 It's like an abyss of endlessly catastrophic events waiting to happen.

You can rest absolutely assured that Miara will personally execute factions against Krulu. She has a truce with him. They're able to be minimally respectful to each other. If any of her angels violate this very tentative agreement, then they're threats to the well-being of her domain, meaning they need to be dealt with post-haste.

Some things were probably accidental (like facial structure), but the purposeful tweaks were their eyes and hair yeah!

My Adventures with Lois-Chan season 2 (I see what they're trying to do with Kara Snore-El, the question is how far are they going to take it? And will they commit or just play it safe despite how serious the topic is?)

They're trying to pull a X-23/Cassie Cain/Iron-Giant/ Son of Darkseid with this one.

First glance it looks like promise, but what's going to make or break this decision is what they do after the fact.

What exactly are you going to do with the fact that she's committed genocide?

And it's very unlikely Brainiac wouldn't just mindwipe her entirely, so that obedience mode she enters isn't a mode, it's her default state.

Why would he even allow her to keep anything close to a personality, that already doesn't make any sense as it didn't make sense when Supes got brainwashed in Legacy arc in TAS.

But this is Brainiac we're talking about, if anyone has a method to wipe a persons mind clean it's him.

See if they just have her become the usual stock Supertoken/supergirl, cape & all and just go about the script per canon usual then the backstory setup was a total waste and only served to just be edge bait, jangling keys and nothing more. Another waste of potential for this sinkhole of a character.

Now her wanting to be a hero would be a semi-sensible way for her to attempt to "do good" to make up for the wrongs buuuuut this is genocide, saving a cat out of a tree or putting away the same 3 villains isn't going to even begin to make up for that shit.

So I sincerely doubt whatever they do after this is going to be anything close to an appropriate direction for what she did.

See with that said- there's already brewing problems with this. And when I first saw it, I thought "Hm, okay, there's potential here."

Mainly because of how she reacted to the truth, which is the point of her emoting, to make you sympathize.

Sidenote: I can't stand Kara as a concept, I make ZERO attempts to hide that, and yes they did the bullshit cousin thing which annoys the shit out of me but they can still do something halfway decent here even if it's mid per the show's usual standard of writing.

Furthermore, even if the execution is shit, i'll give the writers some credit here for introducing her with an (albeit lazy) attempt to make her somewhat interesting though (basically Young Justice S4 all over again), the best way they can give her intrigue is make her "evil" seemingly (always some mind control or conditioning, she's never bad by choice, which defeats the possibility of her being interesting or engaging) and then turn her into an accessory after she is eventually/inevitably turned to the good side.

I don't see why DC is so afraid of making Kara a legit Superman villain or taking risks with this character who desperately needs an overhaul.

Top 5 baddies, calculating, in charge, with a purpose. There's nothing wrong with that, why the fuck does she always have to be a good guy, when the world already has a SUPERMAN? That question never gets brought up more.

When all that happens when she's good is she gets shrouded in the shadow of Superman anyway because despite the attempts of so many writers, she does not possess the impact, themes or narrative/symbolic legitimacy, she literally just exists.

And unlike Batman who can have many protege, Superman's hook initially was being the last Krytonian. So not only does her existence null the impact of Kal's survival in the first place but the world doesn't need two Super-people, it's just redundant.

The only reason why Conner gets a pass is he's the clone gene-baby of Lex and Supes, thus nowhere near as powerful. And the fact that he's not native to Krypton doesn't in any way negate the impact of Kal's survival narrative.

And the storytelling potential of being both Lex and Superman is a goldmine.

From SB-Prime to Conner, they keep giving the better origins and stories to the male Kryptonians, and DC refuses to shake the formula.

Make that shit make sense to me.

Back on the show, they really shouldn't have made her his cousin, again.

That takes so much agency from her when her stake in the story is being Superman's cousin like the canon, and not just a Kryptonian with her own stake that somehow survived or say she was off on an independent scouting mission as a researcher boom, Argo gone.

And she has her own name. Still a knockoff, still trivializes the original point of Kal's survival but that's an improvement.

It's why Kara In-Ze is a slight improvement that people don't appreciate enough. Though there wasn't enough done with her too.

(Yes, I'm complaining there wasn't enough Supergirl in the DCAU, and I'm the guy that hates Supertoken. BUT to be fair, her lore in the DCAU Timm-verse comics more than makes up for it, so it balances out but her NOT being in JL vs Fatal Five? Unforgiveable)

Overall, the miraculous surviving cousin trope is bad fanfic and again it trivializes Clark surviving at all, hence why I hate Kara's existence. But PLEASE stop using the cousin schtick, allow Kara to stand on her own two goddamn feet for once.

yet again my gripe specific to this show is I don’t think these writers are thinking this through. The one time they take advantage of the “Adult” in the Adult Swim and they overshot their shot with genocide.

I thought: "Oh? This might have potential for this version of the character."

But then I thought, "Wait minute, they're not going to revert her to a normal status quo & put her little ass in a cape and hero suit after showing her doing that shit are they? (though tbh they didn't show her do anything, it's adult swim and they pussied out of showing her actually doing the deed)

-How the fuck is she going to integrate, when she's technically an intergalactic war criminal?"

Now if you gave her legal immunity or some kind of galactic supervision fine, but one of the only legitimate ways to set that up is if Superman asked John or Hal to put in a word or pull strings with the Guardians but a seasoned Justice League (where that possibility would make sense) doesn't even exist- so that prospect is completely null.

See this is what happens when you don't think this shit through, and unfortunately this doesn't get the excuse of being a "kids" show, and it really should be because it's written like one, just not as good as better kids shows.

Because despite My Adventures clearly being written for 13 year old girls/Shoujo fans going through their shipper phase, this tripe is actually on adult swim- for some reason.

Point being: Just edgy backstory is setup, set up can create intrigue but what makes one interesting is what exactly do you do with it, where you take that is what makes a character, that's the ONLY reason why Zuko works as a character, it's the ONLY reason why MCU Tony Stark isn't the worst character in the MCU, somehow.

You wanted Kara here, just like I predicted since Season 1 Episode fucking 2 (Because DC/WB can't get over their Kara boner and neglect to give other better lady characters in DC time to breathe *cough cough, where's Starfire's Show? Headass!??!)

Well now she's here, now do something with her or keep doing what you've been doing and just set her up...aaand then she crashes and burns into obscurity. Like she's been doing for the a past 30+ years.

I'd settle for her not becoming a "Superhero" and living her own life figuring how to cope with what she did, saving people on the side.

Or? For a better take if we skip tween shit and just debut her as a grownass woman like Smallville did to an extent.

Be like Victoria or Valora-El and have her be a Supe in a position of infrastructural status where she can make another brand of difference that isn't just sloppy seconds of what Superman is already doing. ie. Being a redundant character in deed and name.

Anything less or to the contrary is cop-out, and yet another example waste of potential, which is a classic fate for Supergirl.

If she killed a few people, okay still bad, but it's doable, but multiple GENOCIDE?

And yes, I have pitched many times to make her dark, but that was the make her Superman villain permanently, clearly that isn't their agenda here.

The difference is, I would've had her be a recurring Top 5 Superman foe. Not some superpowered "uwu kawaii" girl next door gimmick who's stake in the fandom is exactly that or being a female superman DLC vs her actually being taken seriously for once in her history.

See she has stans, she has fans, she has cool moments (MOMENTS, keyword) but does anyone truly take her seriously? But she gets all this goddamn push.

One can try to argue that her having memories of Krypton makes her pain & anger stemming from that sort of interesting, not really-

her concept is the same as Superboy-Prime's origin but for her: without everything that made him iconic- his mental issues, his very real, very realistic ramification of a teenager losing too much, too soon all at once. Intrigue, something was actually done with the fact that he was traumatized, and it wasn't backtracked, it was expanded upon for better and worse.

And in the end, bro saved everyone, and I mean EVERYONE. And nobody will EVER know it was him- why? Because he doesn't deserve the glory, but he was owed a chance to live the life he had before it was snatched from him.

He didn't deserve happiness after what he did, but he finally did right and was rewarded happiness.

That's the kind of shit that deserves to be in a show.

And he was manipulated on top of that, sort of like Kara is manipulated by Brainy here.

But it's likely not going to lead anywhere beyond her siding with Clark-Kun and beating Brainiac, saturday morning kidz cartoon shit.

Point being: People like her profile because she looks appealing, a concept of a female superman, female Kryptonian is a nice thought. Female, that's the gimmick.

She's always had potential, but it's always played safe or backtracked. Now we have her being a genocide puppet, which is a nice set up but the likely outcome is they'll sweep it or go the usual Sueprgirl route despite what she did.

I sincerely hope they do NOT do that, that is the wrong move.

A lot of people (including me sometimes) don't truly understand the gravity of genocide when they want to use it for a character's narrative, it makes for a good hook I get it-especially when the character regrets it or is a villain like Omni-Man.

Or as a premise.

But a lot of writers don't want to commit to how big a deal that shit is in ramifications but want to flaunt it just for the sake of tugging heart strings when the character gets in their feels over it.

My charge is specifically: What are the ramifications for the character's humanity, their mental state, them as a person, how they view themselves, will she want to end her own life over this?

That's the kind of shit i'm talking that would make her leagues beyond in depth over the majority of her other variants (including her canon) in terms of depth, beyond the female superman gimmick, beyond the nepotism factor that Kara owes her entire career to.

But again I doubt they have the balls to go that far, even though that's exactly what they NEED to do given this is a situation involving a one-woman genocide.

That's why Invincible Season 1 Episode 8 is so good, EP3 was more of a spectacle we didn't think too much of Nolan wiping out that planet but when it happened to Earth, seeing that mother & daughter die, you feel that shit. It makes you feel how serious that shit is. When you watch reactions to the episode, people physically cringe are distraught by it. GOOD, that's the right way to present it, because it's not a joke.

My Adventures with Kara-Chan Reads like a "look, aren't they so tortured? Are you sympathizing with the cute girl yet?", nah man. You need to do a lot more than just show her cringing with "shocked anime girl" face:

How the fuck you get out acted/Emotioned by a goddamn Robot who managed to cry without shedding a tear.

Again, WB feels the absolute need to push this underwhelming nothing character over and over again just for her to meet the same brick wall because the general demo? Contrary to popular belief, doesn't give a shit about Supertoken.

She works in concept, but she has zero staying power.

Most people like her because she's an aesthetic, a gimmick, a checked box, like Mid-Morales. They look nice on paper, they're a nice thought, they look great on design sheets. What they represent vs not what they are. Most People like what they are, than who they are. Not all, most.

But this attempt at Kara? Depending on what they do as of post Season 2 EP6, even if the aftermath is mid (and it likely will be mid) at least do something dynamic or risky with that set up, just tragic backstory isn't enough.

Fact is, to wipe out that many people?

Writers better deliver on that shit & make her 2% the interesting/ complex character Azula was in terms of issues, or Guts.

Because they're doing this cutesy anime shit, the same shit they've done with Lois but with Kara it's the strict tsundere who's not privy to norms schtick.

So basically Starfire just more "hmph" frowny faces, it's so goddamn annoying how hard they're trying with this anime aesthetic bullshit but not trying hard enough with literally everywhere else that matters.

It's amazing that that's the main thing that's consistent since Season 1 lmfao.

Not holding my breath, but we'll see where they go with this latest attempt with Kara Bore-El.

Sidenote: Reiner wasn't handled the best overall but him developing lite Schizophrenic symptoms out of guilt due to the many friends he betrayed to accomplish his mission was actually a sound decision, one of best in the story because that's actually doing something with the guilt, now did Isayama commit to taking it to a fine conclusion, ofc not, but that was a good direction to go in that wasn't expected. I'll praise that much.

That wouldn’t be a bad direction for this version of Kara Bore-El, a believable ramification.

They should’ve made her into a villain instead

Instead of the lazy as fuck “oh it wasn’t her fault, brainwashed victim” excuse, which is just having your cake and eating it too. Taking 100% agency from her but you get to show her doing evil stuff, that’s convenient.

At least with her choosing to be a villain- this way she has some agency in this genocide situation and the writers would have dodged a bullet.

Why? They wouldn’t have to justify anything as much in terms of trauma if she chose to be a genocidal overlord to begin with. Boom.

There's a better conflict, and Super-Kun would have a legitimate enemy.

But they’re trying to paint her as a victim via brainwashing, so now they just made more work for themselves and they’re not off to a good start with addressing it, because her reaction was so lackluster.

This show since the beginning has been nothing but half-assed, it’s the one thing that’s consistent about it: The mid.

But at the very least, the show means well. That's the best thing I can say about it even now, it's garbage but it means well.
