India Hosts Meeting of NSAs From Central Asia

New Delhi: Financing is the lifeline of terrorism and countering it should be a priority, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval said on Tuesday as he held a meeting with his counterparts from Central Asian countries to discuss terrorism, the situation in Afghanistan, and other regional issues in New Delhi.

Speaking at the first meeting of NSAs of India and Central Asian countries, Doval focused on the challenge of terrorism, the situation in Afghanistan, and the importance of regional connectivity projects. The NSAs of India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan participated in the meeting. Turkmenistan was represented by its Ambassador in New Delhi. Doval presided over the meeting.

A joint release issued after the meeting said the NSAs of India and the Central Asian countries discussed the current situation in Afghanistan and its impact on the security and stability of the region, expressing strong support for a peaceful, stable and secure Afghanistan. Security officials also stressed that the territory of Afghanistan should not be used for shelter, training, planning or financing any terrorist activities.

SURPRISE! I'm NOT dead! Long post ahead, but TL;DR, I'm not dead, and for the first time in 3-4 years, I finally feel like I can freely work on projects for myself again. Like this AU! I'm trying to pump out update 1 ASAP, evidenced by this sneak peek right here! I don't have a timeframe yet, so bear with me- I'm working on it far more actively right now, the backgrounds are by far the hardest part of what I'm doing with this ask blog. That being said, this van interior background is the backdrop for many of the images in this first update, and will be the backdrop for many updates in the future, so this was a big hurtle to jump! It feels a lot easier to sink my teeth into the rest of this update as a result, so definitely keep your eyes peeled for more stuff soon. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, and I'll answer them! Or, if you still have questions for the characters, feel free to ask those too! (As always, none of this was traced! All of it is freehand, and yes, I bust my ASS trying to make these backgrounds as close to the original as possible! Yes, I am absolutely insane for doing that!) Unfortunately, these past years were spent being deeply manipulated, lied to, and then ultimately abandoned after discovering the truth, which has been an incredibly difficult experience. It's been the thing that's stood in the way of many of my personal projects, as I put my passions and happiness aside for the benefit of others. This AU, unfortunately, was a direct victim of that. Now, however, in the wake of things, I'm slowly regaining everything that I had lost to this manipulation. I'm regaining a deep desire to revisit the things I loved doing, and the last thing I really worked super hard on for myself was this AU, right before everything went to shit. Finally, though, I'm here. This time, I plan to stay. If you're here, reading this, all these years later, thanks for being here. What do you think is what causes this absolutely unhinged Targ hate? Like, I totally get if the Targs aren’t someone’s cup of tea, they can be a lot, but the way Targ haters talk about the Targs is just scary. I had this unhinged Targ anti reply to my comment on Reddit with an absolutely unhinged essay on why the Targs aren’t magical at all and that it’s just “supremacist propaganda.” It’s just really weird.

Idc if someone just doesn’t like the Targs, but what bothers me is when they act like they invented feudalism, are the most evil family ever, and when they demonize them for their dragons. Targ antis act as if the Targs are the only problem in Westeros and that getting rid of them is the solution. They must have watched GoT and read asoiaf with their eyes closed, because the war of the five kings was a war that was started just fine without help from the Targs.

The Targs did not create feudalism or war. It’s just strange how Targ antis fixate on the Targs and only blame them for feudalism as if feudalism wasn’t the system Westeros had for thousands of years before the Targs appeared. Sorry for the rant, I’ve just seen some really dumb comments on Reddit about the Targs and wanted to say this.

Unbiased answer: hate is stupid in general and i've seed batshit takes for every single character I like in asoiaf. It's a general phenomenon, if it makes you feel any better.

Biased answer: targs get extreme hate because they are the coolest house in the asoiaf universe and the very reason for asoiaf's popularity. they get hate because, while not everyone is familiar with the asoiaf universe, everyone and their mother knows the targaryens and recognizes asoiaf precisely because of the targaryens. they get hate because george decided to keep writing about the targaryens and they get an insane backstory where other houses get nothing. they get hate because dany is the reason game of thrones got popular and the reason hotd exists. that's why they get hate. loving the targs on SOME level is the norm and hating on the norm simply makes you seem cool and different in online spaces, which gets you clout.

Actually this is in sync with my unbiased answer because every character/house/trope that is popular and well liked will get an insane amount of very loud and stupid hate, it's just the way it goes. It is not something that only concerns the targaryens. I hope that covered you.

Does anyone else get these suggested articles? They make me so mad, all the time, for various reasons. I don't click them anymore because I want to stop getting them. So to be fair, I haven't read this one. Specifically what I'm mad about this time is the beginning of the title: "After Fans Begged Kohei Horikoshi To End Manga..."

Do people not get how manga works? Each chapter is drawn, colored, and lettered individually. You are getting anywhere from 7-16 pages every week if you're lucky. That's not a lot! "It's taking too long"? Look at how it translates into an anime season. It's not all that fucking long actually! But the process is!

We are blessed enough to be able to get chapters every week because of technology. Before? You used to have to wait for the magazine or the actual physical copy of the manga to release. But because we are all about instant gratification, we've become ungrateful. But let me tell you: YOUR impatience should not have any sway or effect in the timeline of content creation. If it's taking too long for you, move on and come back when it's finished. Leave Hori alone. At the end of the day it's his story, not ours. We're just lucky that 1) he decided to share it and 2) that he met the right people to make it happen and what it is today.
