Leaving Osaka today, uweeeehhh nooooo 😭

Wanted to post about the Precure store last night but was so damn tired when we got back to the hotel that I just focused on packing instead (I need a massage…for my body and my soul 😂)

So now I’m typing this from my phone (ewck 😩) as we wait for the limousine bus to the airport

Osaka’s store is slightly bigger than the ones in Tokyo and Yokohama but I suspect they all have similar amount of products in stock. It just feels “less” cuz everything is more spaced out, I guess.

Another thing before I go further into the store is that they still have Yell’s statue at the front even though it’s been almost 7 years since Hugtto aired. Like, c’mon! At least switch her out for Sky for last year’s anniversary, y’know! 😅

Moving on, as expected, you can find the cardboard cut-outs of the current season’s Cures to the left of the entrance. I’m surprised they placed Friendy in the center and not the lead Cure. Then again, Iroha is the one who actually holds the MC role more than Komugi does so maybe that’s why?

I also recall Tokyo’s might’ve rotated theirs during StarPre so the arrangment might depend on the day.

When you enter, to the right is the kuji crane game. Kyaaaaa, they’re all so cute!!! Especially my Maho girls~ 😍

They also have no necks 😂

And it is soooo obvious that Nyammy is the top favorite across all boards 😅

There is merch for Niko-sama but she’s a late add-in supporting chara so I won’t count her.

On another note, again, I’m surprised about Friendy. I think I saw more Wonderful/Komugi goods available than I did her so I hope that means she’s quite well-loved among fans now?

Her recent focus episodes were pretty good.

And here are the All Star leftovers…I’m kidding, the SD acrylic keychains are permanent as are the Otedama series, haha

Most of the lead Cures seem to sell out faster, followed by the midseason Cures or whoever has the biggest “cool” or “pretty” (or both) appeal of their group. 

I think that says a lot about what fans like. There’s always going to be a preference for the more feminine types which would explain why we seldom see the tomboy trope appearing anymore compared to the early years of the franchise.

On the right… *sob* Soleil still hasn’t sold out and it’s been 5 years already! 😫

Finally, yesterday was the release of the Akkogare Hyakka-ten goods, which you need reservations in order to purchase at the store. 

I believe this is another recent change as well cuz they didn’t have this policy last year despite HiroPre being an anniversary season. However, I only became aware of it with the release of the twin keychains so not sure if it started earlier than that.

Anyway, while WonPre isn’t a favorite season of mine, I adore the seasonal goods 😍 Particularly the theme for this one and the Halloween and autumn leaves ones before it.

The department store concept is as classy as it is cute 🤩 and seeing everyone dressed up is giving me an idea for a periodic fanfic 😆✨

Like, Komugi would be the main chara of this story, yea? She’s the cheerful yet sheltered ojousama of a very rich family who is curious about life beyond her rural mansion. One day, her older childhood friend, Yuki, who also happens to be a (even richer) heiress, takes her out to the city for some shopping and introduces Komugi to her favorite saleswoman, Mayu.

Mayu guides them through the department store and introduces them to their most recent hire, Satoru, an extremely talented tailor who can adjust any garment to fit his clients perfectly (Daifuku is his boss 😂).

They shop till they drop and stop by a café inside the department store where they’re served afternoon tea by the charming proprietress, Iroha. Komugi immediately hits it off with Iroha and declares this to be one of the best days of her life 😊

But that night, back at Yuki’s apartment where she’s staying, Komugi is faced with the question: is she willing to leave her carefree country life behind for the glamorous yet more hectic, cutthroat style of urban society?

lol, would anyone read this? And why of all things do I get inspiration for a season that isn’t my favorite? I’ve got ideas for the Halloween one too! 😅

Oye, the power of good merch 😩

K, that’s about it. I didn’t have a Precure haul this time, there wasn’t much I wanted outside the seasonal goods.

And yea, shock shock, despite me being really into collecting acrylic stands these days, I didn’t get any and only bought the bromide set (gonna do the same for the Halloween goods but ordering online since they’re sold out in stores already).

But if there’s anything I learned about this hobby (I used to collect nendos and figures), it can be a pain to resell when you no longer feel any attachment to those goods. I’m just content to have these images to look at so the bromide set works perfectly for me since I get everyone in one pack and at a lesser cost than if I were to buy 5 individual acrylic stands which are almost 1700 yen a piece.

I was also lucky enough to get the Mayu and Yuki twin keychains! 😮 The puppy and bunny pairs sold out but they still had the kitty pair so I asked for one immediately cuz these are the only merch outside the seasonal goods I want for WonPre. I loved that episode so much 😆💖 and I’m glad there’s merch specifically made for it. This is one of the few things that makes WonPre stand out from the other Precure seasons 😁

*sigh* Now I can only hope the Xmas goods will be just okay so that I won’t be tempted by those as well. 

Have mercy! I’m going to spend so much in 2025 on Otona MahoPre 😭🤣
