I saw that there're some npc fics in work (wish you a lot of inspiration for them), but i wanted to know if requests are open. Cus i just saw Hikueru from Natlan and oh boy, i would be lying if i said that guy is not almost exactly my type

When I tell you that I have like 4 WIPs for Natlan NPCs, so doing one that I kinda wanted to (because I have an idea for Hikueru and Marokau) is more than fine. His VA has such a nice voice.

Hikueru x Scions of the Canopy! Adventurous! reader

Being from Scions of Canopy reader is a little adrenaline junkie, and can already swim

You had visited the People of the Springs a few times, mainly because of the hot springs. You were curious about them and if their special qualities were just rumours or not. Each visit was a small escape, from your active life. A moment to unwind after performing any of the extreme sports that were a distinctive trait of the tribe you came from. You quickly discovered that the rumors were true - the waters were indeed magical, at least they seemed, they felt really great and helped you relax almost immediately.

During those visits, you met a certain person who caught your attention every time. You could easily say it was because of the pretty smile Hikueru sent in your direction. With each stop at the Springs tribe, you became a little closer, exchanging a few words and pleasantries.

Then came the day you decided to learn something new, and with so many visits to the southern tribe, you decided on surfing. Previously you saw people catching the waves and performing amazing tricks and it interested you and made you want to do that as well. So you sought out Mualani, knowing she was a skilled surfer but when you approached her and told her about your request and even offered to pay for the lessons, she only smiled widely. The happy expression confused you the moment she said she couldn't do it because she was busy, but she would point you to someone who would certainly help you. You thanked her and she told you where to go, not mentioning the name of the man but saying you would know who she meant as soon as you noticed him.

As soon as you came to the place Mualani mentioned your eyes stopped at a familiar figure of Hikueru. You weren't sure if you should curse or thank the girl for directing you in here. Nevertheless, you stepped closer to him and greeted him with a smile. You told him all about the request and how Mualani sent you to him making him freeze in place at the mention of her name but soon he nodded with a smile. "So when would you like to meet?" He asked his hand moving to scratch at his cheek. "Whenever you want, I can make time." You replied before adding quickly. "Just tell me how much I should pay you for the lessons." His mouth opened in shock before he frantically shook his head. "No, it's alright. You don't need to-" "Nonsense." You cut him off and patted his biceps. "If you don't tell me, I'll ask around how much others take." You proposed to him but he couldn't really haggle.

Your touch made his head blank so he nodded, agreeing to whatever you wanted. He just couldn't believe he got the opportunity to spend more time with you. And little did you know Mualani did it because Hikueru talked with her and Marokau about you and how he'd like to hang out with you to get to know you even better, and she had the perfect occasion to make that happen.

Your first lesson started soon enough and your eyes stuck to him. You couldn’t help but admire him, his athletic build, his slightly wet hair that framed his face perfectly, and his passionate voice as he talked you through the basics of surfing. He showed you how to prepare the board and helped you wax it before you moved fully into the water. In the beginning, you listened to his every word, committing them to your memory, but when he sat on his surfboard, the sun glistening on his dark skin, almost nothing made it into your head. Your mind full of how nice he looked and how great his muscles showed as he carefully pointed their position and what you should be doing. You tried to concentrate on the lesson, but his presence was intoxicating. The way he animatedly described the waves, his enthusiasm infectious, made it difficult to keep your thoughts from wandering.

"Did you get it?" He asked looking at you as he jumped from his board into the water and came closer to where you were sitting and floating. You blinked your eyes twice before shaking your head a little as your eyes refocused on him. "Umm. wha- yes?" You replied hesitantly and when his eyebrow rose at your words you added. "But you can tell me once more." He snorted at your eager expression and moved closer to you in the water, his hip brushing your thigh as you sat on your surfboard. "Then come on." He said and moved your board into shallow water.

This time while talking he tapped your legs and arms showing you how you should move and what position to take. His hands brushed against your body correcting your stance and making your skin scalding hot whenever he touched it. He smiled at you every time you fell down into the water but still came back to stand on the surfboard. Your stubbornness to perfect each move was admirable, making his laughter echo, and encouraging you to continue. The both of you took in every minute you could and enlengthen the lesson to be in each others company.

After an exhausting session of practicing paddling and balancing, you felt the familiar soreness in your muscles. Hikueru noticed your fatigue and suggested a visit to a nearby hot spring. You accepted, grateful for the chance to unwind. Of course, you made sure that he was beside you, and you spent the rest of the evening talking your joined laughter filling the spring.

OH IVE GOTTA MAKE THIS ONE ANGSTY. Implied past child abuse as well. If it was to become a full fic it would have a happy ending though.

I like that they are on opposite ends of fulfilling their dreams. Shane is kind of the ghost of Alex's future ain't he?

Oooo wait okay lets take the headcanon from the SamAlex fic and have Alex returning from college after being forced to drop out due to poor grades.

Alex has been away for two years, becoming an entirely different person. He was a star athlete with a hot (albeit on and off again) boyfriend. He felt more like himself than ever before... and then it all came crashing down.

When he comes back to town, its like stepping into old shoes that don't fit anymore. He doesn't feel safe to be himself and shuts down. He puts on an act of the person he used to be. Cocky. Macho. He pretends nothing affects him and he has it all figured out.

Shane looks even rougher than when he last saw him. Worse than reminding him of where his future might be headed, he reminds him of his dad. Drinking all the time. So angry. Who would put him in charge of a kid? He's kind of worried for Jas. He’s glad she has Marnie at least. Marnie’s always been nice.

It’s night. Shane is leaving the saloon, Alex is outside sitting with Dusty. He watches Shane with contempt in his eyes, and Shane won’t stand for it anymore. He feels him watching, spins around and snaps at him.

“You got a fucking problem or something?”

Alex stands up slowly, a silent reminder of the pure mass Shane is up against. Maybe a fight could be good for him. Let off some steam. But he gives Shane a chance to back down.

“Walk away, Shane.”

He, unsurprisingly, does the opposite. He comes closer. “No. I haven’t done anything to you, so what's your fucking issue?"

The alcohol on his breath causes a long-buried fear to spike in Alex and it has him clenching his fists at his sides. He wills himself not to tremble. Not now. Not now. He feels cornered, readying to swing at him when Shane's next words catch him off guard.

"Why are you here, Alex?" Shane sounds older. More tired. His bleary eyes don't miss the look in Alex's. There's something he recognizes there.

But now Alex is terrified for a different reason. He's so tired of keeping this wall up that he's actually tempted to be honest with him. His defenses are crumbling around him as part of him thinks that Shane would understand better than anyone...

His mind balks at the thought, since that would mean they were in any way similar. So he turns it around on him, throwing a mirror up between them as his last defense.

“What are YOU doing here Shane? What happened to you, you’re a fucking mess.”

Shane rolls his eyes, waving him off as he backs away again. “Yeah, yeah, piss on the town drunk. It’s all been said and done, asshole.”

“No,” Alex says firmly, following him, corralling him back against Dusty's fence, “you started this.” He won't let him back out of this now. For some reason he can't let this conversation die. It's real and it's painful and he craves it.

Shane folds his arms and scoffs. “Technically you started it by glaring at me all the time.”

Alex grinds his teeth. "It'll get even worse for you if you even think about harming Jas."

Shane's eyes widen with fire, arms slowly moving to his sides again. "What the fuck did you just say?"

Alex steps closer, looking down on Shane now. "You heard me."

"I would NEVER hurt her you fucking--"

Shane moves to push him but Alex pushes him back harder, but the show of protectiveness for Jas seems to flip a switch in him because he doesn't want to hurt Shane.

He kisses him.

Konba

Konba is the NPC in Breath of the Wild that challenges you to a foot race just north of Mount Rhoam.

Konba is an NPC that some people might not have encountered on their first playthrough. I didn't know this minigame existed until I was trying to 100% the game. He has his own location on the BotW map called "Footrace Check-In".

He's very excited to race us!

There's a pretty easily marked path up to the summit of the mountain, but there's lots of enemies that appear out of nowhere. Unlike most NPCs, his running is faster than our highest walking speed, so you will have to sprint to beat the minigame.

In Tears of the Kingdom, he seems to have picked up a new passion in life -- fashion! However, these talents got him kidnapped by the Yiga Clan.

He can initially be found in the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab Yiga Hideout. He's being kept upstairs, where we can free him. He mentions being more athletic than he looks, which might be referencing his runner past!

Later on, he can be found at the Lucky Clover Gazette on the lookout for more of Misko's treasure.

He does remember us after we saved him.

As far as I can tell, he's talking about the Frostbite set, but didn't seem to notice when Link was wearing the set at all.

I haven't quite figured out when he starts spawning over here, but I would guess it would be around the time you finish the Lucky Clover Gazette story lines.

Other Notable NPCs

This post will be a quick rundown of all the other relevant NPCs introduced in the main storyline of the game so far.

Palace Rulers

The first Palace ruler is Takeyuki Kiuchi; his Shadow is also known as Lord Cupid. Kiuchi is a confirmed phantom, known as the Collision Man, who violently runs into women while passing through train stations. He used to be a baseball player, but had to quit and become an office worker instead. His Palace takes the form of a baseball stadium.

Kiuchi's distortion revolves around blaming women for the problems in his life, after an elementary-school-aged Motoha embarrassed him while he was still an athlete, and later a scandal with a woman got him kicked off the team. He's stated to have mixed together feelings of lust with a desire for domination/"revenge", and treats women the way he does as payback for the women that he believes wronged him in the past.

After talking to his Shadow, it's revealed he considers baseball the only thing he was ever good at. When he thinks there's nothing left for him, Motoha reminds him what he actually liked about the sport, then convinces him to turn himself in and start fresh, and maybe get back into helping coach kids' baseball teams later on.

[In Wonder's visions, Kiuchi pushed a mother and her baby down a staircase, killing the baby. When he's later arrested, he seems to be having a breakdown about being a murderer, and how there's no coming back from this for him.]

His Treasure was a giant golden baseball in the Metaverse, and turned into an everyday rubber baseball in the real world.

The second Palace ruler is Hiromu Miyazawa; his Shadow is also known as Pan. Miyazawa is a confirmed phantom, related to the vicious bad reviews he gives restaurants, leading to their closure. He's a popular food critic, and is also known as the Flavor Swordsman. His Palace takes the form of a Japanese castle-themed movie set.

Miyazawa's distortion revolves around his desire to be an actor, and his inability to get protagonist roles or be taken seriously in supporting roles due to his appearance. He explains he had to throw away his pride to get roles, and eventually moved into food reviews instead because people liked his harsh reviews, so he got more fame and money. This pursuit of money eventually led him to extorting restaurants for good reviews. His Shadow is obsessed with being the protagonist of the "movie".

After talking to his Shadow, it's revealed he treats the chefs that he reviews so badly because he's jealous that they still have pride in their work, and are genuine to themselves, when he gave up his own pride and dreams. The ramen Shun made for him made him feel this so strongly he cried. Shun tells him he can start over and be more honest this time, after turning himself in, and Shun will treat him to ramen again even if he's penniless.

[In Wonder's visions, Miyazawa won the rigged contest he challenged Shun to, which led to Shun being declared an official phantom based on Miyazawa's lies about Shun's behavior. He mocks Shun even as Shun is informed his father figured died of a heart attack in the hospital.]

His Treasure was a golden film reel in the Metaverse, and turned into a movie ticket in the real world.

One of the rulers of the third Palace is Kumi Katayama, class 2C's homeroom teacher (the class Wonder and Motoha are in), as well as their math teacher. She seems to be the math teacher for class 2D (Shun and Tomoko's class) as well. Her Shadow is also known as Kiskil-lilla. Katayama is a confirmed phantom, known as the Rush Rider, who bikes recklessly and injures people while dressed as a Cyler Eats deliverywoman. Her Palace takes the form of a dam that is being pushed beyond its limits and falling apart, though it's later discovered it isn't solely her Palace.

While she's somewhat strict and no-nonsense during class, she seems softer outside of this, and asks Motoha and Wonder about Shun when Miyazawa's video worries her. Shun seems to regard her highly, saying she's a passionate person, and trusting her to listen to him. Katayama is also shown repeatedly to care deeply about the wellbeing of all her students, both present and former, and will go out of her way to help them. After Akashi (see next) comes to Kokatsu and begins to target her with his new policies, she becomes more desperate and stressed. Her Shadow reflects this, being painfully puppeteered by Shadow Akashi into attacking her students against her will.

Katayama is also revealed to have been a famous delinquent as a teen, and friends with Masa (further down the list). This is presumably when she cultivated the biking skill that she now uses as the Rush Rider.

[In Wonder's visions, Shadow Akashi sends so much electrical power through Shadow Katayama, to force her to keep fighting the Phantom Thieves, that the real-world Katayama dies.]

Her Treasure was a copy of a manga about bad teachers in the Metaverse.

The other ruler of the third Palace is Kei Akashi, an educational consultant who comes to Kokatsu Academy, allegedly sent by the school council to help with the problem of teacher overwork. His new policies target Katayama in particular, as he's using her as "bait" for some larger plan. To this end, he arranges situations to repeatedly get Katayama in deeper and deeper trouble with the dean, all while making himself look like the innocent good guy of the situation who can actually solve problems.

His Shadow lurks in Katayama's Palace, and is eventually identified by Ruferu to be a second ruler of the Palace. However, he's discovered to essentially be operating as a parasite, and notably the cognitions of the Palace see Katayama as their boss, while referring to Akashi as the "new director" they're all scared of. Shadow Akashi uses electrically-charged, cordlike arms to electrocute Shadow Katayama into doing whatever he wants her to (particularly, attacking the Phantom Thieves) while also stealing the power generated by her via the Palace to power himself up.

After the Phantom Thieves rescue Shadow Katayama from him, and convince her to return to her real self, Shadow Akashi puts the dam Palace on lockdown.

School-Related

Mr. Hakozaki is class 2C's science teacher. He's somewhat jumpy, and admits he doesn't spend a lot of time around other people, even idolizing a historical scientist who never shared the results of his research with anyone. Still, he seems extremely passionate about the science he teaches, even if he's anxious about actually teaching it to a group of students.

Mr. Shimonuma is class 2C's civics teacher. He doesn't seem to have much faith in his students, and primarily enjoys when they don't know an answer, so he can correct them. He's stern in a slightly sadistic way, though he hasn't yet been seen to go so far as throwing chalk at his students (like Ushimaru does to Joker); it's all verbal.

Mr. Endo is class 2C's English teacher. He's somewhat casual, with a slightly disinterested vibe, but he evidently know his subject, and doesn't seem to be slacking on teaching it. Still, he complains about the strangeness of English sometimes, and once mentions that he wishes the whole world spoke Esperanto.

Ms. Taniyama is class 2C's world history teacher. She's friendly, and seems gentle with her students, while of course displaying a knowledge of and interest in her subject. She seems to have some interest in various forms of divination, though it only comes up offhandedly.

Mr. Nagara is class 2C's literature teacher. He's very passionate and enthusiastic about his subject, and seems to generally feel emotions deeply. At the same time, he seems somewhat prone to tangents. He's the type to laugh at his own jokes, and is overall very reactive.

Kokatsu's Dean of Student Affairs is a man named Yamanashi. Yamanashi has a level of authority at the school, but he's still quick to become nervous if questioned or called out in any way, even if he stubbornly puts his foot down about whatever is under question. He tends to push any work he can off to Riko Tanemura (and then brag about how capable she is), and is quick to follow Akashi's new policies when they sound like they're in line with what the school wants, without much critical thinking.

Other

Merope is Wonder's Velvet Room attendant. Though she has a very calm, collected, and straightforward demeanor, she is very dedicated to helping him however she can, including coming up with the idea of (and creating) the Phantom Idols that help him in combat.

She is also a Confidant of his, and it revolves around her "special project" to help improve his skills further. However, she is very interested in idols and idol culture- apparently believing them to be similar to the role Wonder plays- and much of her "special project" focuses on teaching Wonder more about idols, and how to be more like one. She is not only focused on being a good idol mentor towards Wonder, but also on herself being a proper idol fan, and refers to having done extensive research on the subject, though in practice she's evidently missing a bit of practical knowledge.

Merope seems to have a fondness for Wonder that may edge into romantic territory, though she's not romanceable. She casually refers to them doing things similar to what a couple might do- such as when they ride a ferris wheel together- and asks Wonder about it. However, as she tends to keep a very matter-of-fact tone, it's difficult to say whether she's actually flirting, or simply gauging his own reaction to understand him better.

Marthym is a humanoid shadow that mainly dwells in Mementos. She is a self-described businesswoman, and notably runs the in-game store that takes actual money, as well as allowing players to buy gacha pulls.

Marthym's main story role seems to be her loose function as a guide to Mementos. She explains to the Phantom Thieves how to open up areas using tickets collected on that floor, and mentions that this benefits her as well as them, though she doesn't clarify how.

She also introduces the player to Paradise, which is an area where the player can see their guild, and includes special rotating boss fights that give extra rewards. Again, this seems to be explained as part of her business.

Yamagoshi is the owner of the restaurants Toraiken and Ashouken, and has been running them for a long time, though his wife passed away at some point after their opening but prior to an elementary-school-aged Shun visiting. Miyazawa particularly harasses Yamagoshi, as he wants to be given ownership of Ashouken, especially after Yamagoshi fell ill.

Shun sees him as a surrogate father, and Yamagoshi evidently cares a lot about him as well, as he set aside an heirloom to be given to Shun when he turned 18. [In Wonder's vision, when Shun loses the competition and is declared a phantom, Yamagoshi dies of a heart attack.]

Yamagoshi seems to believe in teaching others, as he opened Ashouken specifically with the intention of it being a place for his employees to learn. He also believes in authentic flavor for his food, and is very proud of the restaurants' ramen's signature taste.

Masa is the person currently running the ramen restaurant Ashouken, though Yamagoshi actually owns it.

Masa is an apprentice of Yamagoshi's, and believes strongly in the same principles as he does. It's mentioned his dream is to open his own restaurant. He's familiar with Shun, and seems fond of him. Prior to the start of the game, however, Masa began to give into Miyazawa's demands for ingredient changes and bribes, even as it ruined Ashouken's food, because he didn't want Yamagoshi's restaurant to die completely.

After trying Shun's ramen in the competition Miyazawa challenged him to, he seems to have come to his senses, and becomes much more willing to stand up to Miyazawa, even if it risks his job. Masa is also the one to inform Shun when Miyazawa formally apologizes.

Masa later reveals that he and Katayama were friends in high school, and delinquents at the time. They seem to still keep in touch, as when Miyazawa got Shun fired from Ashouken, Katayama came to Masa to ask what happened.

Oops, I'm an Exalted blogger?

Does this mean I need a thematic url?

I'm not much of an artist, but I was inspired by @theuncrucified to do some more work on my weird little Exigent, the Chosen of Xaos. This is (hopefully) in keeping with the week 1 concept of "PC/NPC," since it's the character I'm currently playing in Exalted Essence!

Her name is Beloved Daughter of Luna, Bounding Freely Upon the Light of the Stars, though her friends mostly call her Luna. She works for the Bureau of Destiny in the WOEFULLY underfunded Subcommittee of Esoteric Miscellany, solving problems too obscure to categorize. Her powers (Which I've posted the first set of on my patreon, free for anyone to see: https://www.patreon.com/posts/exalted-essence-111183809 ) are heavily inspired by the Wyld, due to Xaos's overwhelming Wyld corruption.

I figured 4 new charms would count for this art challenge, and I'm eager to follow it up with some fiction about her arrival in heaven, and her hatred for overly fancy food, next week!

Fallen Out Avatar (Prerequisites: Integrity 4, Essence 3) With a momentary lapse in judgement, the Chosen of Xaos's firmly held beliefs fall, forming twisted reflections where they land. Commit 3 motes. The Chosen of Xaos casts off an intimacy or virtue, and it manifests as a twisted mirror-image familiar. A minor intimacy has stats as a tertiary familiar, while a major intimacy or minor virtue is a secondary. Her major intimacy manifests as a secondary familiar and gets +2 to its primary dice pool. Determine these dice pools based on what would help most in upholding the virtue or intimacy. When an intimacy becomes detached this way, she loses access to its normal benefits, and if a virtue is detached, she loses all benefits from its linked intimacies. The familiars look like reflected copies of the Chosen, with strange features - animal eyes, backwards hands, or antennae are common. Unlike a normal familiar, they do not share their senses with their creator. While the familiars created with this charm are never immediately hostile to the Chosen, they are single-minded in their devotion to the intimacy or virtue from which they are created. Only a fool would create a familiar from her virtue of justice to help commit a murder. A familiar is always immune to social influence or charms that would cause it to act against itself. When the motes are uncommitted, a familiar borne of the Chosen's own virtues and intimacies crumble to nothing. Those made from temporary virtues or intimacies, including those gained via Burden of Meaning, as well as ones that became hostile to the Chosen through her own misdeeds, may persist, pursuing the virtue or intimacy from which they were created. -Everything You Care About: (Upgrade, Essence 5) By detaching every virtue and intimacy at once, the Chosen instead conjures a battle group. The dice pools are determined as normal for her major virtue, and the battle group has size 1, veteran drill, and up to two additional relevant outnumber qualities. This battle group is unstable, and infighting is sure to set in, so the charm cannot be maintained for more than a single scene. When this scene ends, all the Chosen's virtues and intimacies are degraded by one stage until the end of the session.

Immolation (Prerequisites: Presence 3) Like the Lava Moths that burn the fields of the Wyld, the Chosen of Xaos can ignite passions - literally. Spend 1 mote and choose a character. When that character modifies his resolve with an intimacy, they must succeed on an athletics roll with difficulty equal to the Chosen's Presence or burst into flames. Once ignited, this fire is nonmagical, and deals damage or spreads as normal, and can be put out in any usual way.

Panoply of the Wyld (Prerequisites: Sagacity 2) A fair folk's whole self is contained within their graces, and with a gesture, the Chosen of Xaos can call them to hand The Chosen of Xaos may have in hand at any time a cup, sword, staff, ring, or heart. Aside from the heart (which is typically a still-beating heart of indeterminate origin) they are art objects of the finest quality, reflecting the Chosen's sensibilities. All of them are treated as finely made tools, conferring a 2-die bonus on appropriate non-combat rolls, such as hosting a tea ceremony, falsifying membership in an organization using a signet ring, or whatever one might use a heart for. None are of artifact quality, but should they break, they can be returned to hand with a simple gesture. (These are not actually fair folk graces. I'm not going to make rules for that. Nor should you.) -My Blade: (Upgrade, Essence 2) Choose two of the objects created by this charm when you purchase this upgrade. You may purchase evocations for them, though they are still not actually artifacts.

Mirror Passage Approach (Prerequisites: Navigation 2) A mirror falls from where the Chosen's hand once was, and she steps from a sword, its polished edge parting for her. Spend 1 mote. The Chosen may step through a mirror or other appropriately reflective surface, and out from any other within medium range that she can see. Neither surface must be large enough for her to pass through, though it must be whole and relatively undamaged. Unless she enters through an object held by (or making up) a hostile character, this can be used as part of a reflexive move action or rush. If the Chosen steps through something she is holding, it drops to the floor, potentially shattering. -Remembered Reflection: (Upgrade, Essence 3, Navigation 4) At any time, the Chosen may designate a mirror with a touch. When she uses this charm, she may always emerge from that mirror, so long is she is within the same realm of existence.

Kronk (Headcanon) Kronk is Yzma's assistant from the Emperor's New Groove, but is a kind and moral person. He's athletic, happy-go-lucky, and a boy scout. Kronk is a canonically Jewish man in ancient South America, which makes him very likely to be a Nephite. He is also a boy scout.

Joshua Graham (Canon) Joshua Graham, “The Burned Man,” appears as an NPC in the Honest Hearts DLC for Fallout: New Vegas. (said DLC is likely riddled with problems related to Native American representation) But Graham is a popular character, he is a legendary figure in the history of the Mormons, the Legion, and tribes of former northwestern United States. Born in New Canaan, Graham experienced both the lofty heights of power and the depths of despair, first as the military commander of the Legion under Edward Sallow, then as the fallen Burned Man and a prodigal son. His stubborn refusal to die after being cast into the Grand Canyon elevated him to mythical status, striking fear into the hearts of superstitious legionaries and members of tribes of Utah and neighboring states. He also said the following quotes: “I survived because the fire inside burned brighter than the fire around me.” “ I have been baptized twice, once in water, once in flame. I will carry the fire of the holy spirit inside until I stand before my Lord for judgment.” Born and raised in New Canaan, a Mormon settlement in post-apocalypse Ogden, Utah. He served as a missionary to the Blackfoot tribe, co-founded a fascist replica of Rome, then realized the error of his ways after being set on fire and thrown off the Hoover Dam. He returned to New Canaan, found acceptance, rekindled his faith, and now seeks redemption and revenge against the legion he founded.

okay. i figured it out. putting this under a read more because i'm absolutely fucking bonkers and this went deeper than i expected to.

let's start out with jace (my beloved) who made making a character sheet so easy by being an obviously straight up sorcerer. i'm making the assumption that all teachers at aguefort somehow got to level 20. and here is what i came up with using standard array, no rolls:

strength: 10 (+0) dexterity: 14 (+2) constitution: 17 (+3) intelligence: 8 (-1), it is a 5 in my heart but i'm not messing with numbers for standard array purposes. wisdom: 12 (+1), which i think is in line with canon because i feel like i remember him having to make a WIS save and bleem said he only had a +1 charisma: 20 (+5), i think an argument could be made for his CHA to be higher but i don't... remember him doing any damage spells or having to make and CHA saves so. again, for standard array purposes i'm leaving it. he's at least 22 CHA in my heart.

but so with all the numbers out of the way... that leaves figuring out spell splots/subclass. because of fanfic (do i need to namedrop? we know what fic) i went with divine sorcerer.

gave him heightened, subtle, quickened, and careful metamagics but could be convinced of others.

for feats i lined him up with:

fey touched: misty step without giving up a learned spell slot as well as a +1 to CHA bringing it to 18 actor: +1 charisma to bring CHA to 19 as well as advantage on deception and performance checks when trying to pass yourself off as a different person. prodigy: expertise to deception as well as proficiency with a language and tool kit didn't think about language or tool proficiency... but i am strangely fond of jace having proficiency with a forgery kit. skill expert feat for another +1 to round him out to CHA 20 (as well as expertise in persuasion).

now i also figured that even if he isn't an adventurer, he might have some gear so gear wise i gave him a ring of protection, bloodwell vial +3 (brings his spell save to a whopping 22), and a barrier tattoo (rare) which sets him at a comfortable 18 AC and takes up 3 attunement slots. (i know he did not have 18 AC but i love him more than bleem)

now. spells.

taking into consideration that jace has canonically used or implied to use: enlarge/reduce, misty step, counterspell, bigby's hand, and flesh to stone (which... i hadn't realized was a sorcerer spell), and detect magic. that leaves SOME wiggle room with the rest of his spells.

this is the spell list i generated thinking about my own characterization of him and considering that i think he might've been more used for control magics and they probably would have used oisin for more offensive stuff since... wizard.

and as i was typing this i realized that jace and oisin did use some sort detect thoughts or something.... though. it could have also been a dominate spell? anyway.........

so OF COURSE this is gonna be so different to what bleem used because he probably used an npc stat block and just added very minimal flavor to it. but this is what i've come up with.

now. porter is a lot more straightforward literally between my textpost about his multiclass split to now i finished his sheet.

once again i used standard array. and made him an 18 barbarian path of the zealot, and 2 level paladin. he does not get an oath with only 2 paladin levels which i think works for his narrative.

strength: 20 (+5), however i do want it noted that porter HAS to have a 27 to strength to get his +8 and his +14 to strength saves and athletics checks. dexterity: 14 (+2) constitution: 17 (+3). considering that bleem said porter was health over AC, this means he has to have something artificially inflating his CON or just basic hit points. because a barb/pal multiclass with average dice is only 190 HP which for a bbeg is laughable. (again, i know that bleem did not use actual character sheets but, pre-final fight bear with me) intelligence: 8 (-1), his INT is also a 5 in my heart but not messing with standard array. wisdom: 12 (+1) charisma: 13 (+1), i do think that porter has more charisma than this. he is genuinely a creepy guy, but i think he's at least a +2 maybe even a +3. but i digress. i used standard array.

now for feats. i selected these with the thought in mind that porter's (pre-final fight) weapon is a vicious maul (extra +2d6 on crits) and i'm ASSUMING he's just going for straight damage which is scary.

Great Weapon Master Crusher (+1 to STR) which basically gives him the ability to once per turn push a creature away from him if he hits it with bludgeoning damage. it ALSO gives him advantage on a creature he scores a crit that does bludgeoning on until the start of his next turn.... scary opportunity attacks Athlete (+1 to STR) and makes it so it only takes 5 feet of your movement to stand when knocked prone, climbing doesn't take extra movement, and you can make a running jump with only 5 feet of movement vs 10 ability score increase (+1 STR, +1 CON) brings STR to 20 and CON up to 16 for a +3

now with the paladin multiclass, porter does not get access to the barb capstone and instead gets access to 2 paladin spells and smites. however, with this multiclass he can only smite twice.......... like bro....... LOL

his extra stuff is funny because he only has 10 lay on hands charges so he can technically get rid of disease/poison but only twice per long rest LOL. 2 divine sense which eh. and then 6 rage charges which isn't bad. but. i digress.

anyway. this was more of a huge thought exercise in order to justify what i'm doing in my fic. and also to think through if i really do want to multiclass my own barb.

funnily enough...... realized path of zealot gives me some wiggle room with stuff.... ehehehe.

I am not comparing, the Physicality of these two Bodybuilding athletes at NPC Bodybuilding Grand Prix 2024. On the left is Women’s Physique Bodybuilder - Kalpana Rawat and on the right is Men’s Classic Physique Bodybuilder -  Rhubham Sharma, obviously the guy has more muscles and the gal has more grace. What, I am talking about is that as a Youtuber, channel’s name - @fromhereandtherevlog or @fromhereandthere (channel promotion…lol) I have observed that, in the Bodybuilding Video’s which I upload, the one’s that feature women get more views as compared to one’s which feature just men.

Why is it so? I think as women don’t feature as prominently as men do in such competition’s, they have more value as one is apparently watching so many muscular guy’s that what they see less, seems to attract more attention. I mean there is one thing in abundance and there is something which is sparse, so it is human tendency to watch that which one doesn’t get to see easily, in this case women bodybuilder’s, be they be participating in Wellness Division, Bikini or Physique. If you observe, in Bodybuilding Competition’s, worldwide, the main events are focused on Men’s Division and there is no ‘Stand Alone’ Women’s Bodybuilding Competition but that doesn’t seem to lessen their appeal.

They say ‘Variety is the spice of life’ so in a hall full of male bodybuilder’s, suddenly few female bodybuilder’s appear, they become ‘the source of attention’. The eyes have seen those masculine physiques, what they don’t get to see as much is the feminine figure. Same goes for youtube video’s…isn’t it?

Tonight I got to compete in my first bodybuilding show, The Open Natural 🤘

I also had the incredible honor of sharing the stage with my beloved wife, Michelle, in both novice and open of the Women's Bodybuilding division💕💕💕💕💕

This has been an incredible experience for me. But I won't sugarcoat it, it's also been a very hard and stressful prep. I had more struggles with my mental health than I'd like to admit, but I'm not going to lie about it. It's the hard truth. Being in prep for something like this is hard on anyone, even the pros.

That's why I've decided that I'm going to train in the gym and in my brain for at least the next two years. Grow in size and heal my mind.🏆

Thank you to, Laura, for being such an incredible coach. You've been by our sides (especially Michelle's) since we met you and you are by far one of our biggest supporters. With you guiding us and leading the way, we'll be larger than life 💕

What’s your favorite Sims death? I think the mummy's curse one! There's just something about that ominous vignette during the countdown days, only for the sim to dissolve into dust at the end 😩👌

Alpha CC or Maxis Match? Both! Maxis Match for clothing, Alpha for hair.

Do you cheat your sims weight? Nope! I leave them at whatever weight they happen to be, unless they want to learn/practice the Athletic skill. I do cheat to give them more muscle tone if they're super muscular already, though; EA really should've made that slider move along the muscle mass one :/

Do you move objects? Oh yes. I can't imagine decorating without it.

Favorite Mod? Nraas Master Controller my beloved 💖 Can't forget BrntWaffles's lighting mods, they make the game look so beautiful that sometimes I like to just leave it on 2x while watching the sunset over the sea.

First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack? The first EP I got was World Adventures and it's still my favorite. The first and only SP I have is HELS, along with bits and pieces from the others.

Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing? The latter, though this question tripped me up the first time I saw it 😅

Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? Ohh that's a tough one. Fergus Vane is definitely among my favorites, he was a Johnny Bravo knockoff who eventually got married and I swear that he and his wife could NOT keep their hands off each other 😆 First is him making friends at uni, second is him with his wife.

Have you made a simself? Oh yeah, when I got the game and was trying to figure out how to play. Didn't last long until I started making serial black widows, lol.

Which is your favorite EA hair color? That platinum blonde looks so tacky that I can't help but love it.

Favorite EA hair? I think EA struck gold with: Loose Curl, Dramatic Ponytail, La Dolce Vita Updo, Chorus Girl Curl, Pin-up Pretty, Skinny Dreads, Wavy Bob, Elegance Style, and Wild Fire.

Favorite life stage? Young Adult, because it has the most things available.

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? Ohh it depends. I go through phases when I'm not interested in gameplay at all, mostly when I set up a savefile for the first time. But now I've been more into gameplay for a few months.

Are you a CC creator? Yeah, mostly with CAS items and minor annoyance fixes.

Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad? I have a lot of simblr mutuals where I feel like a nosy person sometimes poking their head above the neighbor's fence to see what's going on 😆

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing? I give my concrete boxes a few more decorative elements now 😅 For once, I stopped playing serial killers (mostly to avoid the NPC pudding spam that ensues), and am making an effort to not micromanage sims as much and to fulfill their wishes instead of ending up with mostly level 10 chefs and gardeners all the time.

For CC previews, I may change the background color and will combine several previews into one image (and I occasionally correct small issues like unsightly clipping due to the poses).

What expansion/ gamepack is your favorite? World Adventures is #1, followed by Seasons and prooobably Supernatural.

air genasi, lean athletic/acrobatic build, typically male lead in both theatrical or dance/ballet type preformance, very confident and a bit egoist but not obnoxiously, he just thinks very highly of himself but still hypes up others too

Human, he was raised / adopted by gnomes, kind of anxious and easily flustered but one of their best instrumental preformers, has stage fright when it comes to singing / speaking though

Trip (They/Them)

Goblin, one of two twin goblins,  they are the quick change and backstage managers basically, they help with getting sets and props ready, helping the actors change costume and makeup between scenes, things like that, trip is very excitable and manic compared to their twin but they both kind of feed into their respective energy to level out

Tych (She/He/They)

Goblin, the other twin of Trip, she’s more level headed and logical but still rattles off at a million miles per hour, constantly multitasking, Trip is one of the few who can keep up with their pace easily

Feyfrya Bounty (She/Her)

Eladrin, very tall and slender, she’s the main choreographer and director for their preformances, she is very strict and stoic but is fiercly protective of her troupe, the only one she is a bit more specifically harsh with is swan, as she can tell swan is putting on some kind of facade but hasn’t been able to piece it fully together yet

What's the biggest curveball your players threw at you? Or just something wild/funny they did?

I talk about both of my campaigns, but in reverse order here. First, Blood Countess (ongoing) and then Remix (completed). Spoilers ahead!

The party was ambushed by Anstrasya and some of her lieutenants in the Barovian army. It was in the Svalich Woods. We have three PCs (Tam the ranger, Theo(dora) the warlock, and Alistor the cleric) and they were traveling with two NPCs, Ireena and Ismark. The Barovian soldiers effectively cut off Ireena and Tam (the pair they are trying to kidnap) and surround Alistor and Theo. The only one remotely safe was Ismark (who suffers from Ismark Curse: failing his rolls and being forgotten by the DM). 

Madi (Tam’s player) goes, “Can I pick up Ireena as my item interaction?”

I thiiiiink there was a roll involved (Athletics) but verbally, Tam turned into Aladdin. “Do you trust me?”

I need y’all to know he and Ireena have just found out they are the reincarnations of Sergei and Tatyana. They aren’t lovers (they still aren’t. They’re trauma-bonded besties.) The only person who Ireena trusts more is Ismark. He scoops her up.

“For my bonus action, I cast Zephyr Strike on myself. For my movement, I run with Ireena as far as you’ll let me go.”

Okay, sixty feet.

Except, based on where they were on the map, I didn’t have enough space. I didn’t have more enemies lurking and it felt like a dick move to add more. Bewildered, I watched as Madi, Tam’s player, yeeted Tam and Ireena off the board to safety. Meanwhile, the others are embroiled in battle. That means that as they are resolving this, on his turn, Tam is going double his speed with Ireena in his arms. I had him make a survival check or perception check, but he’s in his favored terrain. Nothing is stopping this man. He is aware of all the dangers. 

Alistor is downed at one point. Theo brings him back from death. The two of them and Ismark flee.

Tam and Ireena? Already at Argynvostholt, which was supposed to be a big reveal for Alistor because it’s his childhood home. Oh, well. Tam and Ireena are there alone until the others lose the Barovian soldiers in the woods, now trying to figure out what to say to Alistor about the state of said childhood home. I’m trying desperately to get the party back together. Oof.

I should know better.

This is actually the second time I’ve run CoS for Madi (Tam) and Clare (Alistor). I know the two of them. In our last game, they lassoed the roc’s leg, and anchored the other side of the rope to a boulder and the fighter (Madi’s character, Dorinn) ziplined down it while the paladin (Clare’s character, Victor Trevor) climbed up it because even though the players were talking to each other (and playing all four PCs) the characters weren’t and the characters were big of heart and dumb of ass. They crashed into each other and fell into the ravine, but it wasn’t as far a fall as I anticipated after the three of us deliberated over the map. 3d6 of bludgeoning damage isn’t all that much for a fighter and a paladin at level 9. 

Originally in that game, a third friend had been playing a druid and the thing that stymied me about her character was the moment she gave away all of her husband’s blood to Doru (aka some random vampire kid the party just met). It inadvertently shone a light on some out-of-game issues I’m not about to blast on here, but I worked tirelessly to make it work out in a way she would find interesting and favorable for a month and it still went to hell. There were out-of-game conversations, spoilers provided, you name it. Her playstyle - and that of the rest of the party - didn’t end up jiving. 

My players seldom stump me and more often than not, when they do, they surprise and delight me and it makes for a better game for everyone involved. Even when it doesn’t work out, I try very hard to communicate and keep things fun.

Tattoos: Rogue's tattoo on her right arm/shoulder

Noticeable marks: Freckled face, a very large back scar from a direwolf attack while protecting a child

Noticeable items: Bard's hat (when working as an archer). EB ring on a chain around her neck. Cherry Blossom earrings. Hybrid bow made of parts from a zelkova and a wanderer's bow.

Important NPC's:

Narani Dazkar, now Kha: Maxi's mother, wife to Keiten, humble child of the Dazkar tribe. Daughter of Ghoa, Butterfly of the Dazkar. Fled with mother and child after learning of plot to kill Maxi. Now lives in Radz-at-Han with a portion of the Kha tribe, as a merchant selling Xaela goods

Ghoa Dazkar: Maxi's grandmother. A generational talent in archery, she earned the title "Butterfly of the Dazkar" for how gracefully she could wield a bow. Many Xaela came from all over the step to be taught by her, but she didn't take many students, her best one being her own teenage granddaughter. Killed in a bandit attack by experimental poison

Keiten Kha: Maxi's stepfather, husband to Narani. Member of the Kha that rescued the Dazkar ladies. Fell in love with Narani, officially married when Maxi was 6. Maxi calls him dad, only father she recognizes. Leatherworker by trade, crafted the archery bracers Maxi wears when she's in her usual combat attire

Baatu Dazkar: Birth father of Maxi. She never talks about him. He tried to kill her, twice, all because she's his illegitimate firstborn. Former khan of Dazkar, removed from power by Maxi in a trial of combat.

Traits:

Humble start: Maxi, uninterested in the life of a merchant, left for the lands of Eorzea once of age. Having been trained in Dazkar archery, she set off to join the archers guild in Gridania

Martial prowess: Maxi has 0 aether control, but has been athletically gifted from birth. She's able to pick up and handle any martial weapon with minimal training, having spent time with the various martial guilds before settling on the Archer's/Rogue's and Marauder's guilds to focus on

Shroud archer: Main "job" is working as a scout and ranger in the Black Shroud. Maxi's been able to come to an understanding with the Elementals of the Shroud, and is able to get where she needs for the most part without much issue. Because of this, she tends to get requests from the Twin Adders on scouting missions.

Rogue by any other Name: Maxi's "other job" is her real occupation, whether she likes it or not. She works for the Rogues' Guild as Hatchet, ranged weapons expert and best info broker they've ever had. If it needs knowing, she's learned of it, and if not, her vast network of contacts will figure it out quick

The One True Job (Stone): Maxi wields a single job stone: Dark Knight. She's not exactly sure how she ended up with it, but she got it, can wield the powers of, and has fully embraced the Darkness at times. Although Maxi doesn't use a greatsword, a bloodstained axe given to her is her chosen weapon, she still can perform devastating attacks nonetheless. Fray also makes appearances, either at moments of high emotion, or when she's having a discussion with herself

Dynamis?: There's a reason Maxi sucks at using Aether and makes a good DRK. Turns out she has a high skill with Dynamis usage, although up until recently she didn't even know what it was, let alone how to use it. Her emotions fuel her, the stronger the emotions, the stronger her ability to wield it. Her control of Dynamis is very limited yet, as she is far from mastering it, but there have been flashes
