Question how do you draw the MTT or any other characters? What's your advice persay?

Ok first advice?

Draw them the way that feels right for you

I know this seems a bit cheesy, but it’s genuinely important, Like, what kinda quirks that makes sense to you and that you love in terms of looks?

You like to draw Horror as a giant? Go for it, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, you like to draw the skeletons with animalistic elements? go for it

It’s important that you’re satisfied with your art and designs first and foremost

Of course, sometimes, you’re not too sure about what you like specifically, or how to draw a character in a way that satisfies you, which is why experimenting is a fun way to figure that out

Draw the characters until it clicks with you, don’t be afraid to draw the character different each time, or go on the side and figure it out by yourself by making different designs for the characters

That doesn’t mean you have to figure it out right away either, you’re not going to have the perfect design that you love and that satisfies you immediately, it’s a process, you can draw a design that’s acceptable to you, then work your way up till you’ve figured it out

To give you an example, the first time I drew Nightmare when I got back to the fandom was with the canon design for him

Then that went to the first design I made for him, which I wasn’t really satisfied with at all but I was simply experimenting at the time, and used it as grounds to build upon my design of Nightmare, and a temporary stand in till I found my footing

Then finally the design you see today

And btw, none of these were done in private either, like you can literally see this progress with Nightmare’s design publicly on my blog

What I’m trying to say is that don’t get scared of changing the designs up even if you already drew a certain design and already published it before, keep changing it till you finally genuinely feel satisfied with it

Sometimes it’s not even the design itself that changes, but the way you draw the character itself

Take Horror as an example, look at the difference between the way I drew him before

And now

Big change right? That’s cause I was not sure how I wanted to present him art style wise at first, so I kinda just went for a more sans like style till I figured out how I wanted him to truly look, and eventually, I did figure it out

Again, I didn’t just magically draw these characters the way I wanted exactly the first time I did, it’s a process that needs patience, change up the characters you love every time if you have to till you actually feel satisfied, it’s gonna take time, but it’ll eventually click with you

Of course, that doesn’t even mean you have to draw them the way you like every time either, maybe what you like is to draw a character different each time, maybe you enjoy changing the character up from time to time, that’s ok too, it all goes back to my first advice, do what feels right for you

Concept: Kris, Mettaton and Mew Mew have formed Hometown's first ever trans support group.

No discussion takes place, they just sit on plastic chairs in the school gymnasium and play Super Fighting Brothers on the wheely TV, sketch their edgy gender-envy-projection OCs (you can probably guess what MTT and Mew Mew's tend to look like, both are still ghosts of course), listen to nightcore, and consume obscene quantities of cheap fruit juice, slimy brown apple slices, Ice-E's pizza and dry grocery store cookies off of a folding table (provided in corporeal and non-corporeal varieties by Toriel (they're all hungry teens given a snack fund, they ravage that table every time)).

They're the school's only non-sports club (and Jockington is the only member of every sports team), so they pretty much get all the funding they want within reason, but all they've really bought is a trans flag to hang on the wall when Hometown Public School Trans Youth Support Group is in session.

They meet up once a week.

This is the only form of trans "care" any recieves because Kris doesn't care due to their natural androgyny and Alphys isn't a robot-designing, life-size-anime-girl-fascimile-owning royal scientist in DR. Despite all 3 of them being different flavors of trans, they're ride-or-die about their club and each other's validity.

(granted, as for why MTT and Mew Mew are teens, that would require some AU-ing... while the idea of Mew Mew and Mettaton being adults and serving as trans role models for Kris is both enticing and more vanilla-friendly (although both seem to be closeted in vanilla, so...), the idea of a cringe-ass high school club friend group made up of an edgy emo enby, a transmasc glitter femboy and a transfemme pastel lolita anime magical girl... like, please tell me you see the lite AU potential here?

Kris would still befriend Suzie, of course, who would not understand what being trans was ("I just thought humans were... like that" and "ok... you're a boy, and you're a girl... and? Ok?? Good for you???Kris, these are just two normal ghosts, I don't get it.") and join in on a "support group" meeting to "learn."

She'd eat an unfair amount of the snacks, get too into an intense match of SFB, and laugh at Mettaton and Mew Mew's bad half-demon-half-angel OCs before making MTT cry, which would send Mew Mew into a white-hot protective rage, forcing Suzie to apologize under threat of violence, which she does before admitting Metta's half-oni bishounen samurai OC was "kinda sick, honestly." She'd then walk home with Kris, excited because "Kris, that's what "transgender" is? That was cool as hell! I'm in! I'm trans now!" She'd sign up for the "club" the next day.

She'd continue to be a girl, but when prompted would tell people she was "totally like 100% trans" and not elaborate. She still wouldn't really "get" it, because they're just a boy, girl and other thing with nothing seemingly special about them, but would assume that her experience of poring over terrible "How to Draw Manga" books from the library, stacking classroom chairs into thrones, roughhousing over alleged video game "cheating," and getting free terrible cookies is what "being trans" is.

Ok, so I literally pulled this out of my ass as I typed, but omg I think this could actually make a decent fanfiction? Imagine the possibilities... do they still find the dark world, and what would MTT and Mew Mew's alt forms look like? Do they ever meet up in other areas, like the library or the park? Sleepovers? Birthday parties?? Conventions??? Hell, this has big askblog potential, too. Now I want to write this, if my ADHD will let me... cute, nostalgic slice-of-life about awkward small-town baby-queer teens being cringe and free... holiday "episodes..." misfit friendships... trans joy...

Currently Unnamed Post-Neutral AU.

This is based from a playthrough I did right before making the AU.

One Full Year after Frisk left the Underground, 6 humans had already went into the underground, and died. A 7th falls. This starts our tale once more.

Let's start with these 4 Characters.

Flowey the Flower: Your best friend! A little flower who wants to help Charlie get out of the Underground.

Woshy: Woshy is a strange Case. They are one of the 2 Woshuas killed by Frisk. They were awakened by Charlies fall, but have no recollection of how they died. They are the Narrator, taking a role similar to Chara.

Charlie: The final human needed for monsters to be free. Charlie fell down the mountain on a cold winter night, seeking Shelter.

The Last Whimsalot: The last Whimsalot is, well, a Whimsalot. The LAST Whimsalot. Hence their name. They swear to get revenge on the humans who slaughtered their brethren. They live in the RUINS and take a role similar to Toriel, being the boss you face at the end of the Area.

Napstablook is the same ol ghost.

Here we have the (Currently designed) Snowdin people!

Sans the skeleton is the brother of the King. He used to be responsible for the paperwork, but now he's been tasked by his brother to try and lighten up the lives of the monsters underground.

Mew Mew is happily living in her body, now fully corporeal despite Frisk not fighting her in her new form, but still feels a little lost from the death of Undyne. She takes a role similar to that of Papyrus, battling you at the end of Snowdin, then hanging out (Or dating, if you flirt with her.) with you. She lives in Sans and Papyrus's house in the Dog Shrine Room.

Madjick is the Mini-boss who replaces Doggo, due to Doggo being dead. Not much else about them.

Lesser Dog is now the Canine Unit's top ranking member, due to their assistance to the new captain of the Royal Guard, who keeps herself anonymous to the public. She promoted them to Sergeant of the Canine Unit. They appear quite a lot in Snowdin, you fight them only once, though. They are a good dog.

Alphys is the Anonymous Captain of the Royal Guard. She wants to give people hope the same way Undyne did, but believes they deserve to not know who she is. She was going to do what she's heavily implied to have done in some neutral endings, but Lesser Dog was there and stopped her with some Doggy affection. She fights you at the end of Waterfall, taking a role similar to Undynes. She also has a hangout initiated by Mew Mew.

Shyren and her Agent were not Spared by acting, instead, Frisk attacked her and spared from her Low HP. She is very underconfident. Her Agent is trying to help her out.

Monster kid needed a new Role model after Undyne's death, and Father Alvin helped them "see the light of the angel." Monster kid is now wearing their Deltarune Attire, and they appear in Waterfall, attempting to teach Charlie the ways of the Angel.

RG03 and RG04 take the same role as RG01 and RG02.

Muffet becomes the royal scientist after finding out that under one of Papyrus's new policies, it pays well. The Robot is called "Mettaton SP." it doesn't get an EX or NEO form. It's actually just being piloted by one of Muffets spiders. It pretends to be the original MTT, just with a new body. Bpants knows the difference.

Burghley- i mean nerdly- i mean berdly is some little kid who wants to be Muffet's assistant.

Papyrus is the King of the Underground. Because... Process of elimination.

Just SOME Stuff to know about Frisk's run:

Napstablook, Lesser Dog, Greater Dog, Dogamy and Dogaressa, Papyrus, Shyren, Mad Dummy, Muffet, and Flowey are the Unique enemies that were spared. The ending they received was the King Papyrus ending.

Monster they killed the most of: Whimsalot, with a whopping 8 killed.

Non-Unique enemies that they didn’t kill at all: Pyrope, Moldsmal, Jerry, Chilldrake, Migosp, Vegetoid, Whimsun.

So Sorry was not fought at all and technically counts as spared. (Glyde was killed.)

Frisk's LV at the end was 14.

After Frisk returned to the surface, they told a lot of people about the Mountain. It didn't take long for 6 other humans, these ones all adults, to go into the mountain. Frisk had described how they were attacked. They didn't mention how they fought back. The six adults were overpowered by the new puzzles set, and their souls were claimed before the King even knew they were Underground.

In this can I ask for undertale papyrus, underfell papyrus, underswap sans, and horrortale papyrus?

In this scenario, they are married to reader (Separate unlees together if it makes it easier to write), and it's their 5 year anniversary. Reader wanting to do something sweet for them wakes up at like 3am. since the boys already wake up early. They try to make breakfast, but the boys wake up to the fire alarm going off, and they find reader in the kitchen. There's like broken eggs on the floor, flower everywhere, 3 pans in the skink, and reader was trying to put out the mini fire on the stove. Reader can't cook for shit. Even if their life depends on it.

How will the boys react, and what will they do?

I say this overtime and it dosent change. Take you're time and stay safe!

Papyrus:

Papyrus is jumping off the bed and practically flying by into the kitchen the second the fire alarm goes off

He has been with you for five long years, and every year your cooking somehow only manages to grow more and more chaotic

Luckily Papyrus has an infinite amount of energy and doesn’t mind helping you clean up at 3 in the morning

Though he does try and remind you to please avoid using the kitchen in the dark, or spraying cooking oil over a lit flame

He sends you to bed and when you wake up you find Papyrus has actually cleaned up and made you breakfast

Edge (uf paps):

He wakes up when you get up at 3

He’s suspicious at first, what on earth could you want to be doing this early

And although Edge greatly treasures his sleep schedule he gets up after you to make sure your okay

Edge nearly gets blasted with a flame as the stove bursts into bright blue flame

How?? Did you even manage that?? It’s a magical stove designed specifically for low flame??

Edge is very annoyed, like, he’s just about to throttle you annoyed

He makes you clean up the mess all by yourself (somehow you managed to nearly destroy the kitchen in the five minutes Edge had left you alone for)

Be prepared for a very long lecture. Edge has warned you time and time again about the dangers of mtt ovens

He does relent though when you admit it was supposed to be an anniversary gift. Edge softens up just a little and lets you go back to bed before he’s done lecturing you

Blue (us sans):

Blue wanders up to you in the middle of the night as your trying to start cooking his breakfast and he drags you away as you drop the first egg

It’s 3 in the morning, Blue just got off a very long shift and all he wants is some peaceful sleeping with you

Luckily he pulled you away before the stove could be set alight like last time

Probably one of the few times Blue won’t be bouncing around with energy

Crisis averted. Now you and him can enjoy a much more rested start to your anniversary

Once the two of you are rested and it’s not some forbidden hour you and Blue will get to make breakfast together

(You still end up setting the fire alarm off. Love may win but your horrible cooking skills always manage to come on top)

Crooks (ht paps):

Again, like Edge, Crooks is a very sensitive sleeper and he stirs pretty quickly when he realises he can’t find you in bed

Crooks trusts you enough not to be doing anything stupid

Rip Crooks, how wrong you were

The second those eggs hit the ground he’s awake

Its like a third sense or something

He lets out a tired groan as he just anxiously focuses on how you’ve managed to waste more food this time and so early in the morning!

You are completely oblivious to Crooks as he appeared behind you and when you do turn around you scream and drop the pan

More eggs drop all over the floor. Crooks’s face has gone blank so you nervously stand there and wait for him to give a reaction

Crooks is so, so tired, his back hurts and now his precious eggs have gone to waste. You and him clean up the mess and he wordlessly drags you back to bed

He’s not mad, Crooks just hates wasting food and prefers spending his nights sleeping.

When you both wake up at a more reasonable hour he gives you a pretty big lecture.

Then you both make breakfast together (or really, Crooks makes it and you just hand him the ingredients)

Hello! I decided to take a crack at redesigning one of the oldest ocs I have!

Echo was a self-insert Undertale oc I originally made eight years ago. Looking back on it, I was just starting to come out of a... not so great time in my life and having a fandom to get really into that wasn't horror was very good for my mental health (and sleep schedule).

The original concept behind her was human (me) dies and is turned into a monster through ~*magic*~. While her design isn't bad, it doesn't match Undertale's character design or me, so I wanted to give her another shot.

Design Process Below:

First things first, she's not going to look like an angel anymore. It feels very 'the first character you make in DnD is an elf and they're graceful and nmnmnm'. Having her concept be that she's a human who dies and is resurrected was a great opportunity to make them a ghost who possesses a robot like MTT or MMM.

Inspirations:

Instead of Echo being a sexy anime robot like MTT, I wanted to take inspiration from some of my interests both then and now.

MTT (obviously) and some au variations like US! Napstabot

Prophet and Prototype from One Shot. While I don't think I've ever mentioned how much I liked this game to anyone in 2016, but I LOVED this game. Honestly, it still holds up and the soundtrack is great to write essays to. The original Echo was actually partially inspired by Alula from that game, and I wanted to bring some of that love back for the redesign.

That one Dj from Deltarune Ch 2 was also an inspiration. Combined with Prophet and Prototype, they really helped me draw and emote the digital camera inspired face.

I wanted to challenge myself and show my growth as an artist by emoting something without most of a face. I also really like photography and wanted to bring some of that in.

Pieces I wanted to keep from original Echo's design:

The one eye

The use of wings- this isn't direct, but I wanted to use some moth shape language in their head with the antennae and hair as a small call back to the angel theme of the original

The name- She's an Echo of the human she used to be

Echo flowers- They like stories, videos, music, etc. While I didn't keep the single echo flower in the hair, I wanted to include this element in the ghost design

The almost monochromatic color scheme- While tinted by the mirror, 2016 has a very blue color scheme. I decided to throw the rich aesthetic blues out the window and go with a neon green color palette. She's passionate and can be a little annoying at times but it's never malicious. They lose at hide and seek every time.

Things that I wanted to include but don't have a clean category for:

The segments of their chest look like autopsy scars

The combination of one eye and potentially four arms is just so fitting. ADHD nah not me who's that never heard of it

Why I chose green: I would either be a kindness or patience soul and green has just kind of become 'my color' as the years have gone by for haha name pun reasons so they get to look like the outside of a watermelon

I imagine them as pretty short like somewhere in the Frisk range maybe a little shorter. It just makes the big hair and hovering more fun, like maybe she uses them to be taller when getting serious or to hover over puddles.

Its either shorts or cargo pants there is no in between and the jacket is more formal looking to reflect the fact that she is an adult despite their height.

Dusttale: Revived | Character Concepts Pt.1

I’m going to be creating front & back views of character designs for what I’ve decided to call this “AU”, Dusttale: Revived.

In these blogs, I’ll show the design concept for a character along with a brief description of their role in the story.

As I stated before, this story is gonna focus more on the NPCs (at least in the first half). So most of these design concepts are gonna be side/background characters from the game (there are gonna be main/boss characters in the story as well).

Now onto the first 2 character designs:

Dr. Robert “Bob” Temmer:

Dr. Temmer is a scientist that works alongside Dr. Serif on testing & experimenting with the revised DT injections & their side effects.

He usually wears a tired & annoyed expression when out in public, but does get a hint of smile when his wife visits him at lunch.

He doesn’t fully agree with Dr. Serif’s way doing things, but doesn’t exactly have a lot of authority or power to fight back. So he just mumbles his complaints & avoids causing trouble.

Mrs. Temantha “Temmie” Temmer:

Temantha, or just Temmie, is the lovely wife & #1 supporter of Dr. Temmer.

They both use to live back in Waterfall in Temmie Village, but after an incident, they moved into the MTT Hotel (which was renovated to act as housing for the remaining survivors).

While many find her annoying & a bit too lovey-dovey with her husband, Temmie is able to make the most sour individual wear the biggest smile.

These are just the basic designs for now. I’ll most likely be creating more detailed character sheets for characters, but I just want to get a basic design concept & backstory done first.

I feel that mettaton would love your art and definitely buy commissions from you, if you're willing to do so. Of course, the art is all pictures of himself (well not all of them he had you draw some family portrait with all of his cousins in it, and some of you and him. These are very precious to him 💗) oh and if you were up for it, he definitely have you design a poster for his upcoming tour.

mettaton is wonderful when it comes to interacting with introverted people (he has a lot of experience dealing with them from being around napstablook and Alphys.) he mainly always starts all the conversations, so you never really have a worry about what to talk about when he's around. and almost all of his conversations are interesting and amusing. Even the serious ones. You never really have to painc or be frustrated when it comes to talking with him because he listens to what you have to say and respond back. He absolutely despises it when people talk over you. Sometimes, he'll stop the person mid speeking that's talking over his darling and point out that you're trying to say something. "I'm going to have to stop you there dear, this is the 3rd time you ignored my darling speeking." He then turns his head over to you."You can continue speeking now gorgeous~"

On quite days where you don't feel like speaking much and you just feel like doodling, he'd join you. His little drawings aren't the best, but they are somewhat cute and silly. He'd draw on the same paper as you if you let him.

Your acts of service and words of affirmation don't go unnoticed by him. Helping him pack up all his makeup a head of time for a tour, they way you make sure he's fully charged before going anywhere and when you tell him he looks good in an outfit, he's wearing. ( of course, he knows he looks amazing, but it always feels good when your partner thinks you look good!) Or when you say I love you before going to bed or before he starts a show it always makes him smile. He loves his darling so much! 💓 you know he has to return the favor!! He would cook breakfast for you and try to make sure you're getting enough sleep. He even texts you little love notes all out through the day while he's busy. "Hello gorgeous, I hope your evening is more eventful than this meeting I'm attending. It's going painfully slow. Oh! thank you for packing up all my makeup, darling! I've been in such a rush these past weeks. everythings been so hectic, but you've been nothing but a sweetheart! 💕 🥰 I just want to let you know you mean the world to me, darling! When I get back, we should go back to that lovely little restaurant you liked xoxo~"

I'm sharing this drawing waayyy out of date in both directions. Every year at the start of the new year I make my Yearly Progress Piece, which is a redraw of Undertale Fanart I made in 2016 of Mettaton and Napstablook also with a robot body.

I realized I didn't have this year's version available on my profile! So, better late than never (it was drawn in early January of 2024), I wanted to share it.

The inspiration for the 2024 redraw was a sort of "caught by the paparazzi" look. I'm pretty sure that's the energy I was trying to show in the 2016 original, at least for Napstablook. I wanted them to look awkward and uncomfortable by the spotlight while MTT tries to embrace/normalize it? I guess? Though I'll be honest I like the 2023 version more.

Every year I learn something new about Mettaton's design, too.

asgore gifted them an art kit.

alphys got them a mini salt lamp. they immediately licked it.

i got 'em a tungsten cube.

"Why are you so excited over a hunk of metal?"

"It's a hunk of metal."

"I'm gonna 'hunk' this at your face in a second."

"Do you WANT to kill me?!"

"No. But stop calling it a hunk of metal. It's a tungsten cube."

"Why do you care, anyway? It's MY cube, not yours."

"You underestimate my ability to find entertainment in shiny objects."

a lot of us had similar ideas, because flowey got a decent amount of (mostly dinosaur related) brick sets.

it's hard not to notice the pieces constantly strewn about flowey's half of their room.

tori also got him some simulator game. he apparently already had the others in the series, so it makes sense.

papyrus has been using the same pots and pans for ages.

they're a bit charred and dented in places.

so, paps got gifted new cookware.

undyne got him utensils, and alphys got the pots.

tori gave him new oven mitts that don't have holes in them, unlike the previous pair.

i got him a giant puzzle cube. it's got so many rows.

it'll take him forever to solve.

he seems excited.

mettaton got him a robe, because apparently paps been admiring his. they match now.

got asgore some new teacups.

his current ones work fine, but didn't have many ideas outside of that. besides, when have extras hurt anyone?

undyne gifted him a book on slang and how to use it.

alphys' face dropped when she saw it.

alphys was ecstatic about receiving a manga she's wanted for ages from undyne.

tori got her some t-shirts. the one alphys liked the most is printed with a ramen brand.

undyne was gifted another giant foam sword.

that was the most exciting one for her.

they've been into collecting these specific stuffed animal things lately, so i got alphys and undyne matching ones.

mettaton had a similar gift, but luckily we didn't end up on the exact same stuffed animal.

something i'll probably regret was getting mtt a tub of glitter.

i know he likes the stuff, but i'm realizing now how this is probably ending.

already preparing to have glitter stuck to me every time he's in the vicinity.

...so not much will change, actually.

papyrus gave him a pillow custom-altered to have mettaton's branding on it.

giving mtt an mtt themed item...

he loved it. suggested that paps could help design products with him at some point.

alphys' gift was apparently done earlier, as it was an adjustment that enabled him to sign things without having to worry about carrying pens.

because his finger turns into the pen. kinda neat, honestly.

napstablook's headphone cord was looking a bit rough, so that's what i got them.

simple, but they smiled.

must not have been too bad a choice.

mettaton gifted tickets to a live band. they'll go together at some point.

me and tori, being old nerdy bookworms, exchanged exactly that: books.

frisk gave tori a cutesy handmade card, signed "by frisk and flowey but mostly frisk" on the back.

asgore gave her a necklace.

she stared at it and flatly thanked him before tucking it into her purse.

undyne gave a pie tin. self-explanatory.

probably exactly as expected, grillby was gotten a lot of various kitchenwares.

we have a lot of cooks in our friend group, i realize.

anyway, he was fond of the sturdy glass mugs i picked out for him.

that's the notable stuff gift-wise.

as for stockings, i went with chocolate bars for the other adults.

plain, simple, don't know anyone who doesn't like it.

got frisk a bag of those fake rock chocolates. the ones that look exactly like real rocks. they always talk about wanting to eat certain rocks; figured this would be a better alternative to shattering their teeth on real ones.

gave flowey a bag of fake coal.

"for being a butthead this year."

"Jokes on you, I'll gladly take this. And I'm STILL being the same next year!"

"didn't expect any different."

"besides, that's why you got coal last year too."

"Does it even count if it's chocolate coal? Not much of a punishment."

Umm. . . May I ask about the growth of your characters? (Including Chaos?)

Ah! Sure! Alright- *cracks knuckles* gonna be yapping! :3

My very early idea of my AU, Overcopy, was never supposed to grow the way it did now. I was never planning to expand on it ever again after this one post, that I thought about when making myself a sandwich. I was never even expecting it getting kinda popular. But then I started getting asks about Chaos and the others.

So I started drawing these guys ironically. I was like "Oh yeah, I'll just draw these sillies for the hugs, kisses and everything! And then I'll stop!" Those who were here before this whole AU was created knows that I was mainly a writing blog. I wrote for the UTMV imagines, FICS, and other things. But the more that I drew, the more I enjoyed it. Every drawing made me feel happier! I was never so happy before.

Back then, I was really unorganized. I didn't even have Chaos' backstory created. Every post I made back then, was just what I thought would be good, and did it. That's why Chaos' old backstory is a little messy. It's not throughoutly thought about beforehand. The characters were also a really big mess. I was REALLY unprepared.

Chaos is a character that was remade MANY times before, simply because I couldn't figure it out. I honestly didn't even cared much for his design in my first ever post. Heck, he was created only because I wanted to make Nightmare suffer. I was going off of NOTHING at all when I got asks like: How was he created? I came up with everything on the spot. And I think it shows.. TT

I've started properly rewriting his story/writing a script like 5 months ago. I started out by writing like basic points. Some general idea. This was actually the first time that I've thought about the MTT boys being unfiltered. I honestly did that because I felt like they were being weirdly nice. It just doesn't suit them.. (I also love Horror/gore). I planned to reveal this in the comics actually, keeping it a secret. But my friend, @idkwhaticandonow asked about it in one of my asks. So... I caved in and revealed it to y'all.

I'm gonna be completely honest about Blade...... I didn't have much personality thought about in the past. The only thing that I had about him (and made it into his whole personality), was that he liked Anime, and was a loser with no game. I started fleshing him out when I was writing the psychology of the MTT boys. (Their unfiltered versions I mean.)

I started writing Blade first, because it was just much easier to visualize him as a psychopath.

The hardest one to write, was probably Ted. I made him in my AU into such a sweetheart, that I didn't know how to make his unfiltered version. I don't want to spoil much, since I'll reveal unfiltered Ted very soon.

Writing Ace was honestly a little refreshing. He's such a yapper when he's filtered, so it was nice writing him be deadly silent.

Writing their psychology was actually so much fun! But I won't deny that it was difficult at times. I had a lot of breakdowns where I just couldn't think about it anymore, and instead went to play a game. Other times, it was very easy and went smoothly. But still... It was fun!

Nightmare.... I honestly tried to write Nightmare as canon-like as possible. I don't know why, I just really like canon Nightmare. But, I'm not the og creator of Nightmare sans, so I couldn't really achieve that well. But I tried my best! Making his character was actually.... Very easy. I'd say that Nightmare was actually the easiest one to write! Which is insane thinking about it now. The only difficult part about him, are his complex feelings. Those are usually the times where I ask myself, "how would he even react to that?"

Overcopy is still a project in production, but I'm trying my hardest every day to make the finished product have some value, and actually look good. I'm working on the script almost every day, correcting errors or any nonsensical things. I'm almost done correcting chapter 1 and chapter 2, then, I'll go into choosing a format, which I'll present it in.

You can definitely be excited for it! This is probably my biggest project yet, and I'm actually proud of it by far. ^^

6, 7, 8 - 05/12/2022 : was thinking of what she'd wear to her school disco, somethin trendy, this would have been 2002, i was alive but not old enough to remember how teens were dressing lmfao, but anyhow i love this outfit, something she'd never wear otherwise, but she tries to fit in a bit.. also another little Toni, shes not emo enough here tho

9, 10 - 07/12/2022 : no idea whats going on here x ,, toni suspects homosexual activity, also was playing around with my Rouxls design again (i still dont know how i should be drawing him)

13, 14 - 10/12/2022 : more MTT, wanted to solidify the design, so drew him in a fun pose, still to this day this is one of my fave drawings. since Toni is, or was, like a genderbent human AU version of MTT, i was thinking of playing with her design to reflect that, i didn't go with it tho, still, it was fun to play around with

15, 16 - 18/12/2022 : idk why i lied like that in my last post LOL, i didnt draw the full digital lammy piece for awhile, but this one is definitely closer to the design i went with for her, think i based the digital one on this drawing too. More teen Toni too! i love this drawing its like the quintessential Her, esp her eye design, im glad i went and revised that, bc i know she had raccoon eyes

Half Genie Drone of MTT Resort

And here we have a pic I’m surprised I didn’t think of earlier, because the concept behind this one just made two much sense not to get! Shantae hypnotized into being a Mettaton Drone! Think about it, Shantae, aside from being the Half Genie Guardian of Scuttle Town is also a belly dancer, a profession which is mostly done to entertain people and also look really good while doing it. Mettaton is an entertainer who hosts a bunch of stuff no matter how insane or how life threatening it is and one of those way’s is dancing while also looking really good while doing it. Given my love for Shantae, Metatton, Hypnosis and mental robotization how could I NOT get something like this?

Especially since my want for getting this pic is mostly born from a desire for wanting more Meatton drone-based stuff anyway. I mentioned last time when I got my sona as a Mettaton drone that Mettaton drones were a concept I don’t tend to see a whole lot which is kinda sad because I do really like the concept. Probably because I just really like Mettaton EX’s design and think it actually fits quite nicely when used for something like this. So it’s kinda fitting the next artist I got to do a new pic of this concept was one that not only has also done some Mettaton Drone stuff himself here and here but those pics in question showing up after a long drought of this concept were actually what inspired me to get that original pic of my sona as one.

And now we have Shantae volunteering to be a drone for the robot who makes pink and black work so well together to entertain the guests of Mettaton’s hotel. After I talked her into it after my own experience of being a drone and loving it. Yeah, in my head, the scenario I had in mind for this pic was kinda like a reverse Ashour Drone Bellmo pic where instead of Shantae being a drone for Ameer being what convinced my sona to become one this time it’s him being the drone that edged Shantae into it. Because why settle for being a drone all by yourself when you can become one with your lover!? ;D

Some more Underfallen AU art!

This was my design for MTT, and I remembered loving this design (and I still do).

So the story for him is that he was friends with both Undyne and Alphys before he wanted a new form. Little did he know was that Alphys was also looking for a new test subject for a human killing machine. So when it was too late, he was trapped in the form he was in, unable to cry for help or control what he could say or do. Once Undyne saw the aftermath, she was horrified. One of her only friends was "gone," and the woman she loved was not who she thought she was.

Now here's the thing, Alphys wasn't the one who trapped MTT.

It was Asgore.

She refused to betray her friends and Asgore retaliated.

Underfallen MTT would have been similar to Spamton, but with more spunk. We would get glitches from him changing personalities: one more stiff, and one more showmanship. When that side came around, he would help Frisk and Flowey out.

ALSO. To explain why Frisk is covered in flowers and wearing a jacket. The flowers are a curse from Chara and the jacket is from Papyrus when he saw us shivering in Snowdin. He always keeps an extra pair just in case Sans forgot his again. This was to make fun of Flowerfell and using it's only good concept to make something better.

It's showtime!

Finally! It is my hundredth post and in it, I am going to talk about the biggest star of the Underground. I present to you... Mettaton!

So uh... I don't know if Mettaton EX's face looks fine or not anymore. At first, I thought it looks terrble. But now I think it looks fine. I'm not sure if I got used to it or if it actually looks good. About design of his both forms, as you see I gave them stars elements. After all, he is a star. I didn't change much in his normal form. Only lights colours and knobs. He usually makes his lights look like a smile. About his EX form, as you see, the difference is much bigger. Actually, though I didn't know what I want him to look like in this form, I knew from the start that I want to give him a cape with fur.

So Mettaton still leads his show, MTT Resort and all of this. He's still the biggest star in the Underground. However, I can tell that he's actually one of more positive characters in this whole mess called "Undermourning". As you can see in his design (and probably I told ya that earlier), he's in the Smile Program. Why? Well, he's not greedy like Muffet and in general he did not do it from selfish reasons like she did. Well, when Smile Program started, his first thought actually was the fact it could make him even more likeable for people, but that's not the whole thing. After Asgore's death, he felt more important. He knew that his show cheered up people, and it didn't change after Asgore's death. Actually, a lot of monsters found this show as something that lets them detach from this sad and hopeless reality. Mettaton heard and read a lot of opinions like this. So when sisters came up with Smile Program, he thought this is a great opportunity to actually help people instead of just detaching them from the reality.

Smile Program is not perfect. Sofia was responsible for most of it, and she mostly focused on what's nice and cheering up at the moment instead of long term results. However, Mettaton does more than program's requirements. His show is like it's always been. But he tries to put some good messages into it. For example selfcare... [It's the part when you see an advertisement for MTT brand selfcare products XD]. He interacts more with his fans. Actually, similar to True Pacifist Route, Mettaton comes to the conclusion he should perform with others more. So yes, similar to said route in Undertale, he performs with Shyren and Napstablook.

And yep, he likes the way he changed his body. Actually he made this new design himself. I felt I should tell ya that because in Undertale he agreed to become corporeal because Alphys designed a body that satisfied him. It's just very important for Mettaton to be in a body he feels good in.

Talking about Alphys... similar to Undyne, Mettaton sometimes feels lack of someone but not that intense like Undyne does. However, he still does because they were friends for a long time.

So I think that's all you should know about Mettaton. And it's the last Undermourning drawing for now. I'll make post about a few characters (mostly shopkeepers) but I won't draw them. And I'm very happy that I can stop drawing Undermourning for a while. I mean, not permanently, but I almost drew nothing more (if we're talking about digital art) than Undermourning. I think you understand what I'm talking about.

the idea that killer teaches horror (and eventually dust) all he knows is always so interesting to me it makes for such a unique dynamic. HE DOESNT HAVE TOOOOOO like he could do the absolute bare minimum and just teach him how to complete missions or whatever idk but instead killer helps horror react properly to nightmare. how to stay sane when everything in the castle is designed to ruin you and your mind,,,,, i think the image of horror tentatively listening to killer's advice and then getting annoyed that it actually WORKS is amazing because then ughhhhh the prick is RIGHT and therefore now he kinda owes killer but also goddamn it why couldnt killer have been wrong. horror wouldve totally gotten his ass handed to him by nightmare but it would be better than the freak that he doesnt like and disagrees with being right 😒😒😒 (if you didnt want killer to be right then why did you listen to his advice? oh? what's that? because you're a coward? hmmm... alright!)

Murder Time Trio as a poly... or something else

NOTE: This was supposed to be a relationship chart, but I couldn't find any that I liked, and I got frustrated trying to make one, SO I decided to do it in the form of text and headcanons and is slighty ooc because i can’t write them realistic, its against my policy

Before I elaborate on my thoughts about Murder Time Trio poly, I will present to you a summary of the BACKGROUND that I will use for my upcoming discussions about this trio.

In this post I share a bit about that thought and there is this au created by @what-have-i-unleashed named Mermaid Bunny AU, you can find it on their pinned post (is focused on kist in some parts, read the warnings before reading!)

However, since that post I made was more focused on Killer, I will also comment on the other parts of this relationship below!!

NOTE²: To avoid confusion, the first Killer will be called Kei (as a way to start fresh, he chose to abandon the name given to him after his code was altered), while the second Killer will simply be called Killer, as he has neither the desire nor the order to change the title given to him – a title his best friend, his partner, gave him. That being said, let’s move on to their background

HORROR'S ARRIVAL

Horror was the second to arrive, dragged by the slimy tentacles against his will – Kei vaguely remembers hearing his screams calling for someone, spitting threats at Nightmare as if he had no fear for his own life. He didn’t even notice his soul subtly writhing when Nightmare did nothing but toss the skeleton at his feet. "Show him his new home." Those were the orders he heard, and not even a minute later, they were already walking through the abandoned place (whatever it was, the hallways were too long to be considered part of a house, and the rooms were dark enough to make Horror question the things he saw inside them).

It wasn't for lack of trying that their almost-friendship was created – as fragile as a thin twig. Kei had been ordered to teach Horror everything he knew: what Nightmare liked to hear when they returned from missions, how to act when spotted by any resident of the universe they were exploring, what not to do when the hallways of their home (Kei called that dreadful place home, even though it was worse than the hell Horror said Snowdin was) seemed to grow darker and darker, how to ignore the torn and moldy paintings when they appeared to move in the shadows… Everything Kei had learned, he passed on to Horror, but like a mule being whipped to carry its load, Horror would always stall at the most important moments.

Like the time he screamed to go back home, for Nightmare to throw him back into the deep hole that was his past problems. Kei never heard Horror mention his old home again after that night – at least, not while Horror was conscious; only on nights when he finally fell asleep, so light that even the faintest sound would bring that red orb back to life. Of course, Kei knew this – who else but him would keep an eye on his copy to make sure he didn’t try anything stupid? He had to check and act as the loyal right-hand man he was. It wasn’t as if Horror was the only somewhat safe company for him there, no – he couldn’t allow himself to get attached to someone that he would abandon at the first chance he gets.

But Kei could be a little selfish, couldn’t he? Horror was selfish too when he claimed the least uncomfortable bed would be his when they were traveling, or when he shrugged whenever Kei questioned the disappearance of some witnesses who had seen them lurking too close to AUs near the Omega Timeline. Or when Horror got too close to his body on freezing nights, trembling after hours of walking through the thick snow surrounding their home. “This thing is warm.” He pointed at the circle in front of Kei's chest, seeming to hesitate – or not wanting – to call it a soul.

Kei could be selfish if Horror was the one to blame for making it impossible for him to sleep in separate rooms after that.

MURDER'S ARRIVAL

Horror never thought that a third member would be added to the chaotic and dysfunctional duo that was him and Kei. From what he could hear through the poorly closed and fallen door of the room where Kei and Nightmare often argued about their performance, the boss (even though Horror would never call him that) never mentioned anything about adding another screw-up monster like them to the group.

But it wasn't as if Nightmare cared about their opinion on anything, or even cared about their existence - as long as they stayed alive, that was enough.

Murder's entrance was so different from his, so much more... silent. No sudden movements, no explosion of LV, nothing but incomprehensible murmurs beneath that dark hood. If Horror thought Kei was unpredictable and full of weird traits, Murder had just stolen his place. It wasn't as if Horror was a healthy or sane person either, but Murder was an extreme even for him: clothes covered in monster dust, eyes — when lit — always twitching, looking side to side as if others were in the room besides the three of them.

And it was agonizing to see someone so similar to his former self — when there was no danger around them, or when Murder seemed to finally relax those pale bones, those two little lights would glow in white, in a nostalgic way. Horror didn’t like that feeling. Kei was another one who seemed out of place with Murder’s addition to their little group.

“You’re real…” he murmured between laughs — an almost undistorted reflection of himself.

It was hard to adapt Murder into their already chaotic and unpredictable routine, almost like caging an euphoric animal alongside two others already in captivity — the rare calm of before was quickly torn apart by Murder's trembling and impatient presence. As sadistic as the last one, Kei once commented, referring to Horror, who just scoffed and mumbled something like "don’t compare me to that..." It wasn’t a good start between them, definitely.

And no matter how much Horror tried to deny it and even fight with himself, he wasn’t so different from the other two. Nightmare’s motivation in handpicking each of them was clear — it almost had a bitter kind of charm to it, if it weren’t so inconvenient. At least he and Murder seemed to want to be as far away as possible from there, but Kei? Why was he so loyal to that demon?

Horror never knew Kei’s deep desire to escape that hell, to crush Nightmare’s rotten soul underfoot like an insignificant insect. At least, Kei never confessed it to them specifically. No, no.

"As if I care who you talk to outside of work..." Horror once huffed, sounding strangely genuine. "If you want to chat with that rainbow skeleton, that's your problem, don't drag us into your issues, capiche?" And so Kei did.
