Chihiro and Kokichi with a crush on someone who acts like Kyoko Kirigiri

Warnings: Major spoilers to Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony! You have been warned!

A/N: Been rewatching playthroughs of the games while I was sick and got the itch to write something! There was so much more I wanted to do with Chihiro's part, but kind of backed myself into a corner when I decided to write this taking place during the killing game. No worries though, I plan to write a bunch more Chihiro x reader content in the future! ( Can you tell I love Chihiro? Lmao- )

↪ Off rip, Chihiro was very intimidated by you. Your stone cold exterior and the general vibe you gave off was kinda scary to him.

↪ He didn't talk to you at all during the first couple of days, simply watching and observing you whenever you made your presence known/whenever you spoke.

↪ During the first class trial, you absolutely owned it. You constantly kept everyone on track and gave them clues to help them figure out the mystery themselves and diverted them from anything that led them to the incorrect truth. You helped everyone crack the case without flat out giving them the answers and he found that really cool of you.

↪ When Leon's execution came, Chihiro felt a swarm of negative emotions to the point he couldn't contain his tears. It was terrible, all of it was. Even if Leon killed Sayaka and even though Sayaka attempted to muder Leon, he couldn't help but feel bad for the both of them..

↪ That following day or two, he was in a rather gloomy mood. Everyone was. After the events of what happened, he couldn't really stomach much food. It was a small thing and Chihiro thought no one had cared to notice his lack of appetite, but he was surprised that someone did; you did. One morning, he was presented with a large portion of a simple meal by none other than the stone cold mystery themselves.

↪ "Eat it if you'd like. If you don't trust it, that's fine too," Was all you said to him, but it made his heart do a backflip regardless. He didn't understand it, but the scene kept playing in his mind the rest of the morning which kept him red in the face the entire time..

↪ After that, Chihiro started observing you even more and he started picking up on the small things about you. How, although most of the others misinterpret your intentions, you truly don't mean harm to anyone and just want to find the way out like everyone else. You're actually really sweet but your tight-lipped and mysterious nature just throws everyone in the wrong direction, he thinks.

↪ The more he watched you and the more he interacted with you, ( although interactions with you didn't happen often ) the more his heart fluttered until it eventually evolved into something bigger. At first, he thought what he was feeling for you was simply admiration until one of the others pointed it out to him one day. The way he speaks about you with such passion, the way he sometimes stares at you like a puppy wanting attention, the amount of times he's caught staring at you.. To them, it was painfully obvious that he was crushing on you!

↪ Even with the knowledge of his crush on you, Chihiro made no attempt to act on it. For one, you two are in a killing game and you're probably way more worried about figuring out the mastermind and getting out of here than getting a partner and two, he was too embarrassed to. The last thing he wanted was for you to laugh or berate or be disgusted by him for pretending to be a girl because of how weak and sensitive he was.. ( The last thing he wants is to confess under the rouse of a girl anyway. )

↪ This ( along with the embarrassing secret motive ) ultimately boosted his motivation to achieve his goal; to get stronger. Once he's strong enough to protect you and his friends from any danger, then he'll tell you how he feels!

↪ He was determined, and unfortunately, that determination ultimately led to his untimely demise. It was ironic, especially with that conversation you had with him that afternoon prior..

↪ "I've decided! I have no other choice but to get stronger. I'll try my hardest and..! And when I do, I would like to talk to you about something very important, okay?" He had told you, eyes burning with uncharacteristic fire. It was..certainly a look for him. ( One that may or may not have made your heart do a few tricks without your permission.. ) And you remembered briefly mutter something to him about staying safe and not overdoing it..

↪ If only you had offered to join him. Maybe things would've went differently..

↪ Huh, how odd. It's not like you to be sentimental like this. Actually, as of late, a lot of things you've been doing have been out of character for you.. Honestly, what has gotten into you lately?

↪ Well, there's no time to dawdle on it right now. You have to seek justice for Chihiro. With the clues you've gathered, you already have a sneaking suspicion of who the culprit is..

↪ You immediately spiked Kokichi's interest. The fact that you didn't give him any information about yourself intrigued him. It was as if you had something to hide..

↪ When it came out that everyone would be participating in a killing game, Kokichi was surprised by how well you kept it together. Unlike everyone else who were in denial, you wholeheartedly believed the kubs and kept a levelhead about the whole ordeal. It was as if it didn't affect you at all..

↪ "You seem oddly calm about this. Don't tell me you're actually some psycho and was waiting on something like this." He said to you only to get silence in return as you outright ignored him.

↪ For the first day or two he observed you, but he quickly decided to take a more upfront approach and was all in your face. He was always trying to poke and prod and tease information out of you, but you never caved. He couldn't get under your skin at all.

↪ But he did, at least, get your name.

↪ When the first murder finally happened, you again, didn't panic. While everyone else were screaming their heads off, you talked to Monokuma, verifying things about the upcoming class trial before immediately starting your investigation.

↪ When the trial came about, you kept calm. As if you had done this a million times, you helped guide everyone. You gave hints and helped paint a clear picture of what happened. When everyone began to deny the truth, you, along with Kaede, helped everyone come to grips with reality.

↪ And then, when the killer was executed, you didn't freak out. He also noticed you saying something to Shuichi before swiftly leaving to go god knows where.

↪ And just like that his interest in you hit it's peak.

↪ He began speculating. What could you possibly be hiding? Why are you the way you are? How many times has something like this happened to you? Do you hold the key of getting out of here?

↪ Could you be the mastermind behind this? It's definitely a possibility..

↪ After the trial, Kokichi officially set his sights on you. He began to bug you even more.

↪ He would drag you around places and rope you into his shenanigans. To everyone else, it may have just looked like Kokichi was just doing it for the fun of it or to annoy you, but in actuality, he was doing it in an attempt to get a feel for your personality. He wanted to know what made you tick and what didn't. But alas, you were harder to crack than he expected.

↪ So, he began stalking you.

↪ Everytime you distanced yourself from the others and disappeared for long periods of time, he would try to follow after you, however..

↪ "Kokichi. I know you're there."

↪ ..he never got far before he was found out.

↪ Then the second murder rolled around and the cycle repeated. The body discovery announcement played, you gave no reaction to it, disappeared to start your own investigation, and carried the class trial.

↪ After the trial and execution, ( and after you saved his butt from Maki's wrath after he exposed a certain secret of hers ) he approached you with the supposed intention of wanting to be your friend. ( Although he worded it more as him wanting you to be his sidekick ) He didn't give you ang room to deny his friendship and before you knew it, he was shamelessly latched to you like some annoying pest.

↪ Almost everywhere you went, he attempted to tag along. Of course, if you were going on one of your little side investigations, you gave him the slip and he wouldn't be able to find you for a while.

↪ Other than that, you humored him. He talks your ear off and the conversations between you two are more or less one sided but he can tell you're listening to every little word he said and didn't mind his presence. Although he doesn't know much about you, he's gotten to know you enough to know that when you don't want to talk to someone, you'll make it very clear to them that you don't want to talk to them.

↪ And then something most bewildering happened. Shuichi gave you a gift.

↪ "How did you know I liked this?" Kokichi heard you say before you accepted the gift, "Uh..lucky guess? I honestly had no idea. It just seemed like something you'd like." He heard him say..

↪ "I see.. Well, thank you."

↪ Like the stalker he is, he watched the whole interaction and to Kokichi's surprise, he felt..odd watching you two interact. Although it wasn't the most intense feeling, it certainly wasn't a pleasant one..

↪ Anyways, the third murder rolls around and shortly after it happened, he stepped on a faulty floor board and..yeah y'all know what happened to him.

↪ When you and Shuichi found him, he was laid out on the floor and bleeding profusely from the head. Shuichi was startled at first, thinking he was dead, but upon him sitting up, the detective slowly stopped caring.

↪ Chuckling to himself, ( and feeling the very, very strong urge to vomit ) Kokichi stumbled to his feet. However, as soon as he did, you grabbed him by the arm..

↪ "You shouldn't move around so much. You likely have a concussion."

↪ "What..are you talking about? I'm..fine! Just..eheh.. Just peachy.." Another obvious lie. Honestly, what does he expect to gain from acting like this?

↪ After he let that ridiculous statement tumble from his lips, you forced him onto your back with ease. ( As expected, he's very light ) After telling Shuichi to continue his investigation, you left with Kokichi riding on your back.

↪ "Heyyyy, where are we going.. Do you plan to..to take me out while I'm like this..how..cruel, nishi..hi..heh.."

↪ You ended up taking him all the way back to your dorm because you remembered that you had some medical supplies lying around that you found while out on one of your side investigations. They weren't the best, but it was enough to make sure Kokichi wouldn't bleed out and die.

↪ With quick and kinda rough movements, you bandages up his head and the entire time you were supposed to spend investigating ended being spent in your room. After you finished bandaging his head, you dimmed the lights and applied a makeshift cold compress ( which you made by stuffing some ice in a bag and wrapping the bag in a thin towel ) to his head.

↪ Your eyes were completely on him the entire time and something about that made the displeasing feeling he felt before swell into something lighter and fluffier in his chest and around his heart. He didn't know what it was, but he's certain that he loved hated the feeling with a passion and hoped to never feel it again. Oh the lies he tells even himself

↪ The trial rolls around, and although you were kind of in the backseat for some time, you still managed to crack the case wide open. Well, with some help from Shuichi that is.

↪ Speaking of which, after the trial and execution, Kokichi began to notice the most bewildering thing; little Shuichi was getting oddly close to you.

↪ Like, a day or two after the trial, he saw you outside with Shuichi, Maki, and Kaito. You seemed to be working out with them but he took note of how you seemed the most responsive with Shuichi.

↪ An uncomfortable feeling bubbled in his chest, but even so, Kokichi, who had begun to slowly come to grips and realize his attraction towards you, pretended like he was fine. So what if you're hanging out with Shuichi? Lately, the detective has started to peak his interest and he plans to befriend him just like he did with you. Once he achieves that, he'll have you back and he'll have Shuichi to himself too!

↪ But alas, things didn't go as planned. Shuichi, untrusting of him, didn't want to be his friend. How sad..

↪ But he's not one to give up so easily. He'll find a way to rope him into this little game of his..one way or another.

↪ Fourth trial comes and the truth is revealed that Kokichi had a part in Miu's murder. Upon revealing the truth to everyone and completely ruining all the fun of the mystery, you seemed to be the one person to initially believe him. ( Although he noticed you seemed uncharacteristically bothered about the whole ordeal )

↪ Then Shuichi helped you further reveal what happened, forcing everyone to believe what really happened was the truth and that Gonta was the blackened. ( Gosh, it was agitating how in sync you two were )

↪ After the trial ended, things escalated. Kaito and Kokichi got into it and Kaito ended up lunging at Kokichi. However, it seemed the ultimate supreme leader was stronger than he let on ( or maybe something else is at play here.. ) and he ended up throwing his own punch which sent Kaito flying to the ground.

↪ That's when the others finally intervened.

↪ Shuichi, angered by everything that had happened, screamed at Kokichi. He yelled and fussed about how he was horrible and had no friends and how he had no one to turn to because he was horrible and blah blah blah.

↪ Kokichi didn't care much for his speech, ( it was nothing he hasn't been told already ) but his eyes seemed to drift to you. Unlike everyone else, you hadn't jumped to Kaito's defense nor were you screaming at him. In fact, you just stood in the back, watching with that iron expression of yours. How..like you..it was to do that, he thought.

↪ When he left, you followed after him.

↪ "That was quite the show you put on back there. Tell me, Kokichi. What are you planning?" You had asked him.

↪ "Heh, wellll since it's you I feel the sudden urge to spill everything, nishi~! ..Hm, fine then. I'll tell you for a kiss right here on the cheek, nishishishi~!" And then he saw it. For only a split second, he saw the surprise flash across your face. He saw your brows twitch and your eyes widen. He saw your cheeks flush.

↪ He finally saw you truly caught off guard and it was the cutest thing he's ever been able to witness. It's disgusting how much he's grown to like you, he thought. Not really.

↪ You didn't see him for a few days after the trial. You had no idea where he went, but you didn't bother wasting your time searching for him. Not that you could, with Kaito breathing down your neck wanting you to hang out with him, Shuichi, and Maki, you never found the reason or necessary time to go and look for him. ( But for some odd reason, you couldn't stop thinking about him. )

↪ And then he showed his face at last and when he did, he had weapons in tow.

↪ He claimed that he wanted to help end the killing game but of course no one believed him. Maki, who was at her wits end with the male, jumped to attack him and you, of course, jumped to his rescue.

↪ "Why do you always protect him? Are you two working together?" She questioned, her fiery crimson hues staring into you like sharpened blades.

↪ "..." Your silence gave nothing away as you stared back at her with your own icy gaze, gripping her by the arm as you awaited for her to release Kokichi.

↪ She let him go eventually.

↪ Kokichi then went on to explain what the weapons he persuaded Miu to make did ( the "electrohammers" as he put it ) before saying he'll no longer intervene with the others and their plans and leaving.

↪ And without a second thought, you followed after him which automatically labeled you a traitor in certain peoples' eyes. ( Cough cough Maki and Himiko cough cough )

↪ Alas, you quickly lost sight of him despite your tailing. But you couldn't give up now. He knows something and you're determined to find out what that something was.

↪ But all your efforts got you nowhere. You looked everywhere but couldn't find him, however when you finally reconvened with the others they all seemed oddly..depressed about something.

↪ You questioned each of them but only Shuichi would explain what happened while you were gone. Apparently, they used the electrohammers to cross that Death Road and found a large hatch that led outside. They got it opened but what they saw was simply despair-inducing..

↪ Everything was destroyed, there wasn't even air to breath out there. To put it simply, it was the end of the world.

↪ And the supposed mastermind behind the killing game had finally shown themselves and it was none other than the Ultimate Supreme Leader himself; Kokichi Ouma.

↪ But the whole story seemed..odd to you. Something about it simply didn't sit right ( especially with the evidence you had gathered while secretly investigating this place ) and in the end you incurred that at least some part of what went down was a lie. ( And you had a sneaking suspicion of which part it was )

↪ You ended up disappearing after that to do some more investigating. You spent the entire evening, night, and following morning digging up what you could. It was a shame it was cut short in one of the worst ways possible..

↪ "A body has been discovered! After a certain amount of time that you can spend however you'd like, the class trial will begin!" You certainly wasn't expecting that. And at a time like this..

↪ You make it to the crime scene soon after that and waste no time investigating. Everyone is certain that Kaito was the one who was murdered, but until you gather the clues and come to a collective verdict at the class trial, nothing is certain. ( Although, there's this sense of dread that's beginning to bubble at the pit of your stomach. You're hoping—praying—that it's not because of what you think it is.. )

↪ And then the class trial comes and for the first time, you were uncertain. You had a possibility or two, but with the clues presented, you weren't sure of anything..

↪ And after a long time of going back forth and around in circles, Kokichi's plan was finally revealed. His true goal was to end the killing game by making an unsolvable case where you aren't able to figure out who was murdered and who was the culprit.

↪ But then new evidence came about. Maki's confession and the video tape along with Shuichi's deductions helped you make a vital connection and that connection helped crack the entire case wide open. ( Because of you, Kokichi's final efforts were in vain.. )

↪ After the trial, no one was happy. I mean, how could they be? The blackened was Kaito. Aside from that, for some reason, you just seemed a little too upset. Something about the entire situation, about Kokichi's entire plan to kill himself for the chance to end this killing game, to stop the suffering, it made your heart sting. It effected you more than you would've liked and Kaito seemed to notice that.

↪ "I know you really liked him, Y/n," He told you, "He really liked you too. He never outright admitted it, but I could tell.. He wouldn't stop talking about ya'! Even..even in his final moments.."

↪ Was that supposed to make you feel better? Because it didn't. All it did was make things worse. You wish he would've just kept that to himself. Kokichi was thinking of you until the very end? What was the point of putting that painful thought into your head? It was unnecessary.

↪ And so, as soon as Kaito's execution was over. You fled the scene, silently but hurriedly. You knew why, but you didn't want to accept it. To accept that you left in such a rush because you couldn't keep your emotions in check..

↪ Ugh, that damn Kokichi! Could he have been anymore selfish? Forcing his way into your life, making you feel such wonderful inconvenient emotions, only to snatch all of it away and leaving you with the miserable feeling of anguish..

↪ He was truly the worst, you thought.

It's Tetro Danganronpa Friday and that means we're in for a world of pain!!!

Today was very eventful!! I commented most of my thoughts on the videos that were posted, but I'll give a quick gist of what I thought here as well.

I noticed this morning how Okazaki's passive aggression towards Tsuno was getting worse, and that definitely came to a head when Okazaki locked Wada in an enclosed space AGAIN and Tsuno freaked tf out at them. It was perfectly understandable, as their motive for harassing him was simply to get a rise out of Tsuno. I don't know what Okazaki's end goal is, if they wanna see how far they can push Tsuno's limits or if this is just their way of getting Wada to stand up for himself. But they're definitely going about it the worst way.

Nakamigawa is really really growing on me. I've always liked him, but he's starting to become one of my faves (up there with Okazaki, Tsuno and Watari) now that we're seeing how genuine he can really be. When he's not trying to maintain his bad boy persona (expensive clothes, surrounded by adoring women, insulting others), he really can be very heartfelt and considerate. Not to mention how his attraction to men cannot be any more blatant at this point lmao

I've noticed we barely got any time with Tamba or Yanagi today, if at all. Maybe that means they're safe for another chapter if they're not getting any character development.

WATARI IS SO STUPID I LOVE HER!!!! I really admire her spirit of optimism in the face of such challenging adversity.

OJIMA COULD HAVE GOTTEN HIMSELF KILLED. Kicking Monomoko like that could have resulted in his immediate spear-skewered death had it been a canon DR title, and now that Monomoko's "limitations" have been lifted, it makes the threat of punishment all the more prevalent.

And that's it, I think! If any more videos with significant importance get posted today I'll share my thoughts on those too!

I actually really liked writing out my thoughts on Tetro, I might do this every week going foward. Obviously with Spoiler warnings under the cuts, ofc. I do think the next murder will be next week...

Plurality & Paganism: An Introspective

If any of you keep up with my main (@sinfulauthor), you may have noticed this post, along with my new pinned post. In short, I've come to the realization (after burying the thought of it for many years) that we are a Collective.

Now, how does this impact this blog and my craft?

To start off, this blog's content will remain the same. It will still primarily act as an e-grimoire with some additional posts, but the people posting what content will change. Specifically, these people:

-Alex (they/them), the host (hi!). I'll generally do most of the talking/posting. Works with The Signless/Sufferer and Dionysus. ANP that the IRL coven knows. (I'm not open with them about being a Collective just yet.)

-Vaati (he/him), who works with Demise and focuses on divination. Writes solely in cursive and gets VERY frustrated when grimoire notes are in standard print.

-Ghira (he/him), who works with Demise closer than Vaati for Obvious Reasons™️. (Though he generally doesn't do any actual spellwork, just offerings, worship, and altar setup.)

-Karkat (he/they) on occasion, solely because Signless HAS shown himself to him and is very much a Dad™️.

-Toko (she/her) has not yet "awakened." She was a former kin heavily associated with our craft. Taking bets on her being a spellcrafter/writer.

So, now that the roll call is done, onto some other stuff regarding plurality and paganism, the introspection the title mentions. (This will be below the cut as it's not as integral to the "functioning" of this blog.)

So, coming to the realization as a system was... interesting. We first became aware of dissociative disorders through Danganronpa (Yes, Toko's horrible representation. We know.) and related to Toko heavily. At the time, we were heavily involved in the Fictionkin community and had "memories" of those "timelines." However, this relatability on the DID aspect was soon hidden under the guise of "I like to write, and so does she! Also super traumatized like me lmao," and then we didn't think about it for five more years.

Come 2023, we've relapsed for the first time in four years and are going through some pretty traumatic stuff again. At an Esbat in September, an argument breaks out that causes us to dissociate and brings up those really painful feelings from childhood. Nothing felt real, and the rest of the night was foggy. (The people in the argument have since apologized. It was also an extremely stressful night due to our old High Priest being ousted for sexual misconduct not even 4 hours before we started.)

At this point, this whole debacle causes us to realize, "Hey, this isn't really a normal trauma response. There might be something else going on." We have a lot of friends who are systems, and we went to them asking, "Hey, do you like. think we're a system?" and FIVE OF THEM SNIFFED US OUT YEARS AGO AND DIDN'T BOTHER TO TELL US??? Like maybe that would have been useful information, idk (We still love our friends to bits, though)

So, fast forward to 2024. Still in the process of diagnosis but receiving trauma-focused therapy to process things. It's been a long process of figuring out how to live/function as someone with a dissociative disorder, but we're learning.

Thankfully, having a good support network has been a great help. We have an almanac (specifically The Practical Witch's 2024 Almanac by Friday Gladheart) to track our craft/spiritual work, and it's interesting to see the input of everyone in the collective. It's a lot of taking things day by day and seeing how things go, but we feel the energy around us changing.

I started to slowly realize that some certain Mondo haters are. Really annoying. Like I wouldn't have an issue with them if they just didn't like Mondo... But for some reason they have to come up with certain excuses for why they hate Mondo and to also bother Mondo fans. Because it's never "I don't like Mondo" it's always "I HATE MONDO HE IS A TRANSPHOBIC PIECE OF SHIT AND ALL HIS FANS ARE MISOGYNISTIC!!!" You get what I mean?

Danganronpa HAS transphobic elements, because the creator has clearly transphobic views and we should blame him for it, not the characters, but I still see people solely blaming Mondo for all of it while they don't comment anything about the other characters. I'm pretty sure that if you mentioned Sakura and Kyoko groping Chihiro, or Byakuya doing a literal crime these people would be like "🥺🥺 no.... but they're such good characters guys... 🥺 you should blame the author not the characters...." BUT when it's Mondo that same logic doesn't count???? Wtf???? It's such a double standard that I really don't understand specially because between all the characters there Mondo was the one who looked the most supportive of Chihiro?? Moving her body to the girl's bathroom, getting rid of the student handbook that had her gender assigned at birth, while doing that he actually left clues that it was HIM who killed her, and he did all of that to protect the promise between the both of them, AND THAT'S LITERALLY IN THE CHAPTER 2 TRIAL, everyone who saw it should know that Mondo did that

I think people say that Mondo is a transphobe just because they don't like him and want a excuse to shit talk on him and his fans... Because I only get the vibes of "How dare you like this nothing character who killed my precious white girl!! He is such a violent brute how dare you like him!! I don't like him so no one else should!!!" All that while actively describing a man of color who struggles with deep mental health issues. It's always mental health matters until it's Mondo, for some reason, because it's OBVIOUS that Mondo killed Chihiro due to a PTSD episode and NOT because he had an issue with her gender identity. But instead of actually acknowledging that Mondo has a disorder, people find it easier to just pull the transphobe card at him

My response might end up being even longer lmao so my apollo cheese. But everything you’ve said is incredibly accurate and true, unfortunately. It’s never just “I don’t like Mondo,” it’s always calling him a piece of shit who killed poor innocent baby Chihiro. Danganronpa came out in the year of our lord 2010. Trans people have always been treated like shit, but it’s not Mondo’s fault. It’s not Mondo’s fault, because Mondo isn’t transphobic. It’s the writing and the creators and Danganronpa as a whole who are transphobic. Obviously, yelling at people for what they headcanon Chihiro as is not cool. But Chihiro is written in a very trans-coded way. Whenever I talk with my friends on call, I always come back to this: Chihiro’s story is about strength, not masculinity. But the reason she went to Mondo instead of Sakura is because of the toxic masculinity she’s dealing with: she believes in order to be strong, she needs to be masculine. That’s why she went to Mondo.

But again: Mondo isn’t transphobic. He had no problem with learning about Chihiro’s assigned gender at birth. Like you said, he did everything in his power to make sure he could honour Chihiro. He acknowledged Chihiro trusted him, and therefore, wanted to make sure he “held up his end of the deal” so to speak and make sure her secret wasn’t found out. In no way is Mondo transphobic.

But here’s the thing: do Kyoko and Sakura ever get any flack? Does Byakuya ever get any flack? Do the people in the trial who immediately switch over to calling Chihiro a boy without thinking if that’s what she really wanted get any flack? No they don’t, because they’re everyone’s blorbos and some of the most popular characters and can do no wrong. Kyoko and Sakura quite literally groped a dead body, and everyone was like “yeah that was necessary for the investigation” which you could argue it was, but still, it’s treated so grossly. Like “Waohahh the cute innocent girl is actually a DUDE?!!??!!????” it’s. Gross. As much as I love Sakura, you can’t say she never did anything wrong. And Byakuya is just like. The fact that he literally desecrated a corpse is treated as a joke. “Oh lmao such a silly guy” BYAKUYA IS A PIECE OF SHIT!!!

And that’s the thing about Danganronpa, especially Trigger Happy Havoc: They are high schoolers. They believe they’re like, what, 17? High schoolers are dumb. They’re learning how to be humans, especially how to be an adult. They’re kids. Of course they’re going to be idiotic, they’re going to say dumb shit and not be in the moral and ethical right all the time. They are flawed. But the only person who ever gets flack in trial 2 is Mondo, because he’s the killer. Mondo is a 17 year old boy who is suffering from PTSD. It is quite frankly disgusting to make him the sole villain of chapter 2. Is Mondo a flawed character? Yes, but he’s also suffering from a ton of mental health issues. Like you said, it’s always “mental health matters” until it’s Mondo. Kyoko and Sakura and Byakuya never get any shit for the trial because they’re the popular Characters who everybody loves, and therefore they’re absolved of all their actions. You can like them, don’t get me wrong, but you need to acknowledge that they are flawed. I guess what I’m trying to say here is that portraying the one high schooler who’s suffering with mental health issues as a disgusting irredeemable villain while absolving everyone else of their actions is disgusting.

And one thing that, again, my friends have brought up is that Chihiro isn’t a pure victim either. Listen. I understand that Chihiro probably had the best intentions, and that she wanted to comfort Mondo. But pushing him with saying he’s strong is the last thing she should have done! She saw that Mondo was starting to spiral, and yet she continued to push him. She had good intentions, yeah, but she should have realized she was poking the bear. I know it sounds like I’m victim blaming, but come on. Are we really solely blaming the guy suffering from PTSD? Chihiro, again, is absolved of her actions because she’s a fan favourite.

Going back to your point moot became I got totally sidetracked, Mondo didn’t kill Chihiro because he’s transphobic; he killed Chihiro because he literally had a PTSD episode (please forgive and correct me if that’s the wrong term) Frankly the way Mondo gets treated is disgusting. You don’t have to like him, but saying he’s a horrible Monster who killed poor innocent baby Chihiro in a fit of bling rage is just. Is media literacy dead. Not only is that statement demonizing Mondo, it’s infantilizing Chihiro.

She misses them more than anything

The bench feels empty without you

Even though she knew she didn't kill Rantaro, she let Tsumugi frame her and execute her

Ignoring the pained looks on her classmates' faces, she tearfully smiled to herself

Maki Harukawa

At first, she's just stunned

Doesn't understand why you sacrificed yourself for a bunch of morons

Yells at anyone who tries to help, and calls you a dumbass a few times

She's not as good as keeping the tears back tho

Not genshin related but instead yttd related. Just some speculations and wild guessing- beware of 3b spoilers

Alright so in Sou route rn there's only 4 survivors while Kanna route has five (smh Kanna route gets all the love huh).

So that means that in Sou route, not only will everyone get one of each role but also the death game will definitely end because there would be only two survivors left after the main game.

My bets on who's getting what role for Sou route is-

Sou with Keymaster (yttd seems like looping back to the begging with things, so having Sou lie about having keymaster first game and then actually have keymaster last game feels fitting).

Since only the people alive in this route are the ones who killed Kanna, I feel like he'd definitely try to get himself voted off to kill everyone or maybe he has an actual redemption arc this chapter and the roles of Sara and Sou are switched from first main game to last (like Sara lying about her role for whatever reason while Sou is guiding the discussion idk why she would but I feel like it would just be cool lmao)

Sara with either seer or she actually has sacrifice this time (like how she found the sacrifice card under the table but didn't get it cause she already had keymaster). Seer is the only card that Sara has never picked up or had so it's a very likely candidate, maybe she would see that Sou is the keymaster and assume that he would try to kill everyone because of how they killed Kanna. Sacrifice wouldn't trigger Sara as much as it did in chapter 2 because she repressed her memories of Joe, and also Sacrifice holds the most power in this game as well.

If Sara does get seer then two other candidates for sacrifice would be Gin or Keiji, maybe if you chose Alice dies Sou route it goes to Keiji or if you chose Reko dies Sou route it goes to Gin.

I could totally see a situation where you get the choice to save either Gin or Keiji.

I think it would pretty ironic if the final survivors of the death game would the girl with highest survival percentage and the man with the lowest.

Also if Sara was sacrifice and did managed to get voted off, you'd get the choice to either save Gin, Sou, or Keiji.

For Kanna route I feel like Kanna would the be one with the seer (since she lied about it in the beginning as well and it just feels fitting) or maybe keymaster

And reko/alice with commoner probably

Sara would have either seer (if Kanna didn't get it) or keymaster (I don't see Sara getting sacrifice this route)

Gin either has commoner or sacrifice

And Keiji either has commoner or sacrifice

I'm less sure about the roles this route cause it wouldn't be the last main game for them, because there would be three left unless sacrifice wins. The death game is meant to go on until only two or one person is left.

Also everytime during sacrifice's death, there's always the button. In Joe's death, sara kept pressing it. While in Nao's death, Sara couldn't press it at all. Idk why this stood out to me but it did

Also new rules keep getting added with the main games it seems, with chapter 2 updated the rules with trades and ties. Maybe some new rules could be adding new cards, a new way to trade cards, ect.

Also there's still some mysteries that are unsolved

Where's Mishima's head

Mishima is suspicious in general- he's the only candidate that passed the first trial who's wish we don't know (besides Keiji and I feel like this is gonna be important), and he shows up every chapter. I feel like he isn't actually the mastermind (I don't feel like there's "one" mastermind like danganronpa) but he is suspicious.

Who was in Sue miley's room? I personally place my bets on Meister since he looks all bandaged up but it could very well be a dummy who didn't actually die, Kai perhaps (since slitting your wrists is actually one of the most survivable methods of suicide I think), or a character we don't know yet (pfft watch it be Ryoko lol)

Who was Sue miley talking to in chapter 2? I don't think it's midori or Meister since the person seemed (the way the person talked didn't seem like how they would act), or anyone we actually met before since Sara and Keiji didn't recognize the voice. It could be that Rei (I think that's the name) person in Ytts that is revealed to actually have been apart of the group before being forgotten (in Ytts when someone dies they are "forgotten" so I think that's the implication with Rei).

So maybe Rei was a possible Candidate but ending up dying before the death game could ever start like how Midori did and their right to the death game was forfeited.

Next up is why was the Joe painted taken during Sou Route. When Ranmaru goes to rest and Sara leaves him before a while before coming back, the Joe painting is stolen. I think the implication is that Ranmaru took it cause in Kanna route that dosent happen. I just find it kinda silly that Ranmaru is jealous of an painting of Sara's dead best friend that she can't even remember. I just find it silly, and I don't know if it'll be addressed in 3-2.

Also who's Sara's real dad? Most of the cast in yttd is missing an father or parents (Possibly because they're parents mightve been in on the deathgame too, since Asunaru has information on them since they were children). A tiny theory of mine is that the person who Keiji killed was not Joe's dad but instead actually Sara's. It dosent really have that much proof other than I think it would be cool and both Sara and Mr. Policeman have red hair.

What got Sara into the deathgame? Sara never signed the contract so what brought her in? The only two candidates for wishing Sara in are Mishima and Keiji since we don't know their wishes. I could totally see an situation where Keiji wished that he got the chance to reconcile with Mr. Policeman's child (since he killed their dad). I'm leaning towards Keiji being the reason why Sara is here but not Mishima since Mishima and Sara don't really have an connection.

Though I guess it would be funny if Mishima wished to have more students to teach and since the death game is probably revolving around Sara, Asunaro just took that has a chance to shove her in.

What were Joe and Kai talking about? In the survalince it shows Kai and Joe both talking, seeming serious but there was no audio so we couldn't tell. My bet is that Joe was confronting Kai about being Sara's stalker or having some connections with Asunaro, Joe isn't as dumb as the fandom makes him out to be imo so it seems reasonable that he would notice that.

So we can generalize and say "not my thing", it's not really my cup of tea so :').

Fun fact! I started an Astroturtle long fic draft like, after Season 3. It's been rotting in my works, maybe 1/3-1/4 complete, for over a year now, and I can't see myself getting back to it. A friend and I had planned it out together; now that we've fallen out massively, it further buried my already low desire to work on the fic. I could post what I have, but it feels disingenuous to pass it off as completely my own, and I don't want to stir up shit again with my former friend. Besides, it's not my best work (at least imo).

As for future Astroturtle fics, I do want to get back into writing them! But I also have a couple of other fics I'm working on. Hold on, lemme grab them. Not all are TMS though... Most aren't actually :')

- DSMP rewrite fic (Lies the Rebels Told Us, being updated as I write chapters which is HELLA slow but I definitely wanna get back into it. It's on Ao3 under my alt aphotic-serendipity. Fair warning, it's Schlatt-centric - I know a lot of people are not okay with him even as a character, so...)

- Definitely-never-gonna-be-canon oneshot of two of my favorite characters in a sorta-fringe game that people don't really write about. (King's Raid. It's so much fun, I love it, if you play I'll love you and give you tips and obsess over it indeterminately.)

- Backstory fic for my favorite RP character rn. (Probably never leaving that RP group tho bc I wouldn't have an audience, but I adore Shiloh, even if he'd hate me irl.)

- TMS Season 5 "Danganronpa"-esque fic. (Danganronpa in quotes because it is definitely not Danganronpa enough to qualify - you'll be able to tell I have never played the games. Saw another TMSxDangan fic and got inspired because - oh! one of my first followers (on my main, @tmsincorrectquotes ) writes some super cool Danganronpa stuff! tagging @mewmewchann here so you can check her out bc I adore reading Hope's Chains!! - so yea I saw what she's been up to and I thought "hey lemme try that but make it TMS!" haha.)

- One or two vague ideas that might or might not gain traction.

- And I can answer that Mallard question, because guess what? I WROTE A MALLARD ONESHOT A FEW DAYS AGO! It's my first real writing in a while so I'm stupidly proud of myself, bear with me. I'm either going to publish it today or tomorrow, depending on when I force myself to do it and if anyone reads it haha. And I think I have another idea in the works :D

As for Astroturtle... Outside of the aborted fic, I really don't have ideas for them rn - at least, not any I'd see myself writing. I'm always open to good ideas though! I'll definitely think a little more about them in the future and see if I can't get something to snowball :)

I tend to write oneshots in literally one shot, mostly from 11 PM to 2 AM, which does not mesh well with waking up at 4 AM for school (in New Jersey but remote learning at a Swiss university). In addition, life's been kicking me in the ass recently and I have a lot of assignments to do - off the top of my head, I have at least three, if not four, 1000+ word essays and a speech to do for/by next week. That's not saying I'm never going to write again, mind you, but don't expect miracles :')

Also, endnote - I'm so happy people still read my stuff!!! Like, I've had people who tell me over a year later that "oh my god I adored Double Stake or Split and it's made me ship Piquet and look at these headcanons" and I ALWAYS die a little inside from sheer joy. Btw, for anyone who might be so inclined: You can ALWAYS write inspired works from my stuff or draw stuff from it or design things or even animate them if you're that much of a god! he got like,, 15 minutes of screen time, including his death, and he had SO MUCH potential,, he had such an interesting story with being a baseball star, but hating baseball, and the fact that he took depression naps, and he was so fun to hang out with in fte and he just got threw away like that to explain how the game works

and people just brush over the kanon situation because he’s underrated and stuff,,

i don’t think people realise that kanon was creepy. she said his name in her sleep, was obsessed with him, and used her emotions to keep him with her,

i do kin leon so i might be a bit biased here but the kanon situation was wrong on every level,

idk if i should call is sexual harassment because i do think she never actually *sexually* harassed him, plz correct me if I’m wrong though.

but she was definitely manipulative, if she was doing it on purpose idk about that, but she was manipulative

she had these emotional outbursts all the time, i believe was to get leon to stay and not to leave her, but i do know kanon does actually love leon, and isn’t just obsessed with him, which was why she was so upset when she read the killing game documents

the only person who she truly loved was dead, and it wasn’t better for leon either

all he wanted in canon was to be loved, and he died thinking everyone hated him. but kanon didn’t. he died believing he was unloved for doing something he heavily regretted

and while he will never be dirt free, he deserved so much better than what he got

his problems are brushed off by the fandom just because he isn’t as popular as the others. if he stayed longer, i think the fandom would love him, and actually realise what he’s gone through

he was stuck doing something he hated all his life, all he wanted was to be musician, but his life was cut short and the dreams were never accomplished

also, he is the only one who fought for his life in the trial, all the others just accepted death, but with Leon, he kept saying he objected, he tried his best to live. in the anime, he bangs on the doors in a desperate attempt to leave. he had a literal breakdown, and none of the others gave a flying fuck about him

he was sobbing into the podium thingy, begging for his life, and even in the execution, you can see how he tried to endure and survive it, but with the others, they just let themselves die.

leon is one of the most heartbreaking characters with one of (if not the most) heartbreaking ending and he deserved so much better

and the worst part, no one realises how heartbreaking leon is. because he, like hiro, got no development and was comic relief.

and, ik the manga isn’t canon, but in that, he didn’t even kill sayaka, and he still got the most brutal execution in thh (apart from junko but i dont like her so she doesn’t count)

he had the only person who truly loved him at home, he couldn’t say goodbye to the only person who loved him, same goes for kanon, and it’s not like his classmates made it any better.

they didn’t give a shit! they looked more scared for their own lives than remorseful for leon. in fact, Chihiro was the only one bothered by killing leon, and he wound up dead.

sakura literally goes “how disappointing” while leon was begging for his life. i get that danganronpa is a messed up game and is meant to be sad, but leons story was so subtly relateable and heartbreaking that no one even noticed it.

in conclusion, leon kuwata was robbed. he deserved better, and should’ve lasted longer.

I’m relatively tall being 5’8 and am Nonbinary (she/they & AFAB) and Pansexual. my hair is short and really dark brown, it’s always looks messy to people, pale skin, and dark brown eyes. I’m plus size and occasionally wear thick frames glasses. I’m INFP-T. I tend to keep to myself due to anxiety and hyperfixate on the things that I’m most interested (books, games, anime, & writing are my main ones!) "Hey, Kokichi. How've you been?" He sat on the grass peacefully, his hat in between his legs as he crossed them. He turned his head, seeing flowers gently blossom over the grey stone. He smiled reminiscently, "I've been good. Though, things have been really quiet around here." He spoke softly, leaning against the gravestone beside him. 

 Shuichi fluttered his eyes open, noticing a mourning family walk along the pathway. "Danganronpa ended. That's all that matters, right?" Another silence had passed, the wind whispering through his ears as he gazed upon the other graves. He turned towards the rock, noticing the name embedded in it, feeling a wave of guilt wash over him.

 "Do you hate me? Be honest. I… I wasn't the most kind to you. I judged your character without even attempting to get close to you… You were never evil, you were scared. And I… And I judged you for it." Saihara had a feeling in the pit of his stomach that he couldn't erase, tears warming his face as they streamed down endlessly. He sobbed into his hands, setting the bouquet of flowers he had upside the grave. 

 "Geez, Saihara-chan. Didn't know you were such a sad sap."

 His head whipped up as fast as lighting. That voice sounded all too familiar. Though, there was no way it was actually him. He was gone. He was just hallucinating. Yeah. Hallucinating.

 "Aw, are these hydrangeas? Shumai, how'd you know these are my favorite flowers? Did you spy on me?"

 Shuichi knew that it was him. There was no way he was hallucinating. He turned towards the grave, which is where the sound was the closest. At that moment, he could've sworn he was dreaming. As wind blissfully blew leaves across their bodies, he locked eyes with Kokichi. He was almost glowing? He was sitting on his grave, leg over the other as the flowers were in his lap. He grinned softly at Shuichi, whose tired eyes seemed to widen the minute they met with his. 

 "K-Kokichi? I thought you were--"

 "Dead?" He finished his sentence, placing the flowers next to the rest. "I am."

 "Then how are you…?"

 "I have some unfinished business. Mainly with you. So wipe those drips of snot and tears and let's get talking." He giggled, swinging down from the grave onto the grass. He sat cross legged, directly in front of Shuichi. Despite him being a ghost, he wasn't transparent. Well, not fully. He sat in front of the sun, which allowed Shuichi to see right through him. 

 His heart ached seeing the slight transparency with his body. While Shuichi could see him, and to a degree feel him, he was gone. There was no shadow, no slight crevices in the grass where he sat, nothing. "You look so tired. Come on, don't tell me you haven't been sleeping much because of me!" He laughed, but Shuichi hadn't been laughing. He hadn't even dismissed it like he normally did either. Instead he stared at the ground, tears forming at the corner of his eyes. 

 Kokichi nearly panicked, feeling a bit guilty. He was dead for pete's sake. He didn't think anyone would actually miss him. No, he's being too selfish right now. He needed to comfort Shuichi. 

 "H-Hey, Shumai. I was kidding. Are… are you okay?"

 Shuichi had no clue what came over him but he lunged for Kokichi. He gripped him tightly in a hug, both of them now in the grass. It was a weird experience. He could still somewhat feel Kokichi but he was cold. It felt like hugging a block of ice. Nonetheless, he hugged him. He sobbed into his scarf, releasing all of those inner feelings into his tears. 

 Kokichi had his eyes opened wide, shocked as a blush ran through his cheeks as the taller male greeted him with an embrace. Shuichi said nothing, tears meeting with the cold body beneath him. Kokichi had no clue why he was acting like this, he could feel Saihara's heartbeat against his lifeless, cold one. It made him feel good. 

 Shuichi, in a realization of what he was doing, stood up. Obvious tears streaming down his face as he helped Kokichi sit up. "Sorry. I don't know what came over me."

 Kokichi stared at Shuichi as he used the back of his sleeve to wipe his tears with a sad grin. His face was soft when he noticed how much Shuichi had cried. He used a hand to reach out and touch him hesitantly. A cold hand that bled through the sun cupped his cheek, wiping the pain away with one swipe. He used his thumb to wipe away the agony that had built up in those cold and lonely months he had experienced.

 Shuichi looked up, sleeve gently falling down into his lap as he looked at Kokichi. Not just looked, but really looked at him. The sun cowered over his shoulders, still gleaming in his eyes but creating a shadow over them. His purple irises watered as a genuine smile took place of the once soft expression. 

 Shuichi placed a hand over Kokichi's, feeling nothing yet everything at the same time. "Saihara-chan, I love you."

 Kokichi squeaked out those four words quietly, feeling himself being drowned in his own tears. "I really did… I… I'm sorry for pushing you away. I should've told you how I felt when I was alive but I could see the scorn in your face when you looked at me. You looked so much happier when I was away and… Shit, sorry." 

 Shuichi felt Kokichi's hand slip away from his, "Kokichi, uhm…"

 "No, it's fine. I shouldn't be crying. I should be comforting you." He stood up, drying his tears. He hadn't even given Shuichi the chance to speak. He cleared his throat, adjusting his scarf away from Shuichi. "Just kidding! Sorry about that!" The latter stared bewildered as the liar swung back towards the front of him, perfectly fine in a mere matter of seconds. His eyes were still visibly puffy, wet even. 

 For a split second he showed his true emotions. No ulterior motive, no lies, nothing. He let his true self show but covered it as quickly as it was revealed. Shuichi could feel himself being pulled in his eyes, never wanting to look away from them. "Kokichi? Can I ask you something?"

 "Mhm! Anything!"

 "Why…" He trailed off, unable to find the words he once had but soon regathered his thoughts. He stood up, "Why do you hide yourself like that?"

 "Hide what? I'm not hiding anything. Jeez, did you really believe that sob story? Saihara-chan must be really gullible, huh?"

 "Kokichi, stop messing around. You know what I'm talking about. You… You just confessed to me a minute ago and you're acting like it meant nothing. You can't mess with people's feelings like that."

 His face grew sour, but there was that hint of sadness that was there before. "Why not? It's not like you felt the same anyway."

 "You don't know how I feel."

 There was a moment of silence between the two. Kokichi turned from Shuichi, a faltering smile on his lips. "O-Of course I know! You had feelings for Kaede, didn't you? You two were really cute together." While he didn't outright deny that, he didn't confirm it either.

 "Regardless of my relationship with everyone else, you never gave me a chance to reflect on my feelings for you. Doesn't that matter to you?" Shuichi, in a heap of emotions, gripped Kokichi by the hand. He forced him to stay put. "I know it's too late for that now but… I'm not saying I didn't feel anything." Sooner than not, Kokichi had begun to disappear. 

 "I have to go. See you around." 

 He panicked, quickly trying to stop the fading body from leaving but it was too late. He was left alone in the graveyard just as before, the sun setting into shades of purple. 

 He fell to his knees, looking at the palms of his hands as if searching for Kokichi's hand to reappear in his. 

 He was… gone.

 He turned towards the gravestone with pleading eyes, not recognizing the letters engraved on it. He took a few minutes to process what had just happened. The name on the grave wasn't Kokichi's, but someone else's. He heard a voice pull him back into reality. 

 "Shuichi? There you are. You wondered off again. Are you okay? Why are you in a graveyard?"

 "I was… paying a visit to Kokichi." Maki looked at him with a face of confusion, "Who is Kokichi?"

 "We were in Danganronpa together, remember? He… He passed."

 "Shuichi, we've been through this. Kokichi doesn't exist remember? Your doctor told you he's just an imaginary person you made up. Your memory is all messed up from the game. We should go."

 No. That wasn't right. He… he was real. He wasn't fake. He could remember everything so vividly. The blood, the lies, the feelings. There was no fucking way he wasn't real. Shuichi brushed it aside for now, leaving the flowers by the gravestone, taking the hand that Maki had offered and stood up. "R-Right… let's just go."
