It was a good 3rd day of school. Today was the first lesson for Algebra1. Geometry hasn't started their lessons yet but it will be soon for sure. Well, when it’s just me and my textbook, one thing that helps me is color. Now, when I was in my first year of college, I tried to use way too much color; that ended up as too much work and I didn’t take a lot of notes [from textbooks]. This year, I think I���ll just sprinkle in some color.

Color helps keep me engaged and makes my notes more pleasing to look at, so that motivation of “it’ll look nice” is a pretty good one for me personally!

Correspondence University Student

To all those fellow correspondence students out there. What do you think you struggle with the most? How do you get through your day? How do you plan?

UNIVERSITY

Ahhh...

University is already hard as is. Going to school, getting up for school, getting to school on time, going to work and studying. But I chose the correspondence route. So when everyone is out of school for reading weeks, breaks (especially summer) I’m still in school.

Gross I know.

I enrolled in a University that is all online. I thought it was a good idea, but now I’m torn. Was this a bad idea? How am I going to complete these courses? Am I insane? Should I just go to an “actual in school university?”

NO

Here’s why I chose to stay in online courses.

There are few deadlines.

Course end date. Usually 4 months. So you have to complete either 1-5 courses of your choosing (from your graduate guideline)

Complete your course work, midterms & exams before the end date.

I can do the course whenever I’m free.

There are schedules so if you need them they will help. (Or you can make your own)

If family situations happen, if you have to move, if you are struggling you can get an extension.

I can have a full time job without having to go around courses.

With regular school you have to plan work around school and vice versa. With correspondence you don’t.

You can chose to be full time or a part time student. (It might take longer to complete the course)

I haven't posted in a while, so here is something I have been working on this outside of school. So this is not school work, this is out of my curiosity. I absolutely love these Graph Books. I love taking notes on graph paper, and it's not only for math, I use graph paper for all kinds of classes. This Graph book is by Office Depot. I absolutely love it. The pen I used is my favorite, but the problem is it easily smudges so that's why I didn't highlight on it, I know there are tricks of highlighting without smudging, but I don't always get the right measure of Highlight if you know what I am talking about. I did use a Frixion Pen in some parts of the writing, so yea. Hope you guys are doing well in school, and hope you all a wonderful School year and I know I can't wait for this Quarantine to be done, so I can actually go out and get some fresh air by going on a vacation. QOTD: How do you optimize your devices? Growing up my dad always told me that our laptops, PCs & phones are tools and that we should use them as such, in order for us to unlock their full potential. This advice came in handy now that I'm an engineering student, because little optimizations on some devices can really make a difference when it comes to working with many data & different software.
