[9.10.2020] (Friday) 🌺 . Just a little update since I haven't posted in a while😆. I don't have any Japanese classes for the whole week so I've been only reviewing the pervious lessons and spent quite a lot of my time, journalling and on Youtube 😂. . 📚 I've finished working on until Week 4 of Soumatome Goi and the app ( I mentioned it some days ago) is such a great help as it has all those flashcards, listening and quizes! [1.10.2020] (Thursday) 🎵 . October Cover Page💜 . ( 🔽 You can read about the Thadingyut Lightening Festival 🔽 読んで見て下さい。) . Usually, I would just make a simple spread for monthly cover but this time, to make it more functional, I wrote my goals for this month, quotes and also some decorations! 😊 Used purple💜 as the main colour although it is not related to October at all😂 . . 🇲🇲 In Myanmar, we hold this special lightening festival called Thadingyut yearly and it is held on the full moon day of Thadingyut month, usually in mid or late October. Streets are all lightened up with special decorations like Christmas and one thing in particular is that everyone lightens up the traditional wax candles🕯 in front of the house. So it's so lovely to walk around in the neighborhood at the festival nights! 🌛Besides, since we get long holidays, people usually return to their home ,spend time with their family and visit elders and relatives' homes to pay homage🙏. . 🕯 The main purpose of the festival is to welcome Buddha's descent from the heaven after he preached the Abhidhamma to his mother, Maya who was reborn in the heaven🕯Thus, we light up candles as a symbol of welcoming Buddha as he comes back from the heaven 🙏 (crd to Wiki since I don't know some of the words in English😅 ) . In a few months, 2020 will be ending like a flash! . Today was a productive Tuesday! I had a tutoring session and studied/ revised the vocabs I've learned through Week 1, which means I have officially finished Week 1 of そうまとめ語彙! ( 5 left to go! ) もっと頑張ります. I really love this book since it has these little conversations and pictures, which make the memorizing process a lot easier. Only one tutoring session and Japanese class! 💛Lately, I've learned to enjoy tutoring other people because it's something good, beneficial I can do for them during this period and since I tutor them for free, it feels like I'm doing a very good deed as well : )) Besides, there is this saying called " To Teach is to Learn Twice" and I totally agree with that. It has been quite a productive day today (o´▽`o) I've finished one tutoring session, one more to go and Japanese class left for today! I actually started teaching Japanese to one of my very close bestfriends today and it was so much fun ＼(￣▽￣)／ Seems like I have some teaching genes inherited from one of my aunts, who is also an English teacher lol. To be honest, I was quite confused and depressed during the last few days since the situations here have got worse, a lot more than I expected, which means there won't be any JLPT or IELTS coming December..
