a decent car within my price point appeared so things might not be so bad after all 😭

#transportation has been a linchpin of soooo much stress #and i needed something functional within the next month or so or things were going to rapidly get Bad lmao #not that things already aren't #BUT 🍑#car = way more work and also getting to dr's appointments much more easily and just...life in generalllllllll. errands. groceries. friends.#save a whole bunch of time and take off a mental load #also makes it possible for me to have a Schedule again because right now whenever I am able to do things is up to the whims of the gods #anyway AHHHHH #things were easier before i had to move but this current place is super out of the way bus-route wise #grateful to be here but it takes literal hours to get anywhere rn #so car's gonna make a huge huge difference

For several reasons.#He doesn't want to involve her in his messes anymore than he already has.#It's less that she would try and stop him and more so that he honestly wouldn't even think to say something about it to her.#WQ and him aren't partners in this situation. He actually openly disregards her opinions several times.#Wei Wuxian's emotional distance from everyone around him is a big part of this arc.#Like all good tragedies...his biggest flaw is his hubris. He doesn't *need* anyone when he's so capable on his own.#He doesn't need to ask permission when obviously this is the only way forwards.#He has to do it all on his own! No one else needs to be involved!#And if you've been in the position of realizing you have a problem of toxic self-reliance - you know how harmful this mindset is.#It's why it's so satisfying to see WWX in his 'new' life start to let other's share his burdens.#I will die on the hill of 'love means carrying each other's weight. All a burden means is that I can give you support and you support me.'#YLLZ is less 'competent and sexy' and more 'depressed and can't see it'.#Another lovely nod to the main theme here is how he starts leaning more and more into the rumours about him.#Though we are also still confronted with how these rumours fail to actually live up to reality.#Rumour has it the Yiling Patriarch is undefeatable. What a shame if that rumour turned out to be untrue!

I think the effects of leaving a fandom unsupervised for too long needs to be studied

#watching the svsss fandom explode with skincreatures again like a scientist in a lab #interesting... interesting.....#the fact that svsss made it so high onto the tumblr rankings this year despite getting absolutely no new content #makes me think it was all the fandom's doing #and therefore makes me think it can be blamed on the skincreatures #which is. so insane.#there is something truly special about the svsss fandom #which i think is a combination of factors #namely that the source material is the freaks and sickos book made for freaks and sickos (said with affection. im one of those sickos)#so the fandom is already primed for weird content #and then an absolute drought of new official content for several years means the fandom is left to its own devices #meaning people will make their own new content to be insane about #and for some reason. that is skincreatures.#i really can't help but wonder what people who aren't in the svsss fandom think whenever they see those things lol

If you deeply desire something and it doesn't come into conflict with God's will and his word, don't give up on praying for it. Pray without ceasing for it, ask your friends and your family members to pray for it. Write it down so you can remember when you started praying for it. PRAY!

Last year I started seeing answers to prayers I began praying five years ago. This year hundreds of prayers have been answered. Prayers I forgot about were answered, and I see God's hand as he works to answer even more.

Don't stop praying because you don't see God's hand in your life immediately. God works in a lot of subtle and mysterious ways, and years down the road you'll discover how he has been working behind the scenes. He is not slow in the way we as humans understand slowness, but he sees the bigger picture and knows what will bring about his glory. His timing is perfect, and I can see that in my life.

#also sometimes he waits to answer a prayer because you are sitting on your hands #if you pray something go IMMEDIATELY and start working on it from your side (if you can)#if I'd learned that earlier i could have saved myself so much trouble and so much pain #some things are only dependent on him #but some things we can AND SHOULD be working on ourselves #he wants us to prove our faith sometimes #if we sit aside and wait for everything to magically fall into place we aren't being faithful #we're being lazy #true faith is asking God for something #and then acting on that prayer as though we know he is already working on what we've asked--because we CAN know #if we are asking according to his will then we have a guarantee that he will give us what we ask for #and we can know that what we ask is according to his will if we are regularly reading our bible and spending time in prayer #friends #prayer is so important

The fans: Ugh Sonic was just so preachy. I mean obviously he's supposed to be the good guy, so any uncomfortableness I feel here and any way I feel like Sonic's choices are framed as being why some other people have shitty lives is just bad writing because he is obviously supposed to be right always, but this characterization makes no sense. Isn't he right for the things he did?

Ian Flynn, using Kitsunami to say the (barely even at this point) quiet part even louder: Hey it's almost like ever since the Mr. Tinker event we've been purposely running with the critique of Sonic as being more selfish than he appears. Sonic is upholding a system of Eggman v Sonic that currently benefits him and shuts down talk of how to improve the current system because he likes his own personal enjoyment and he's attached enough to Eggman that he'd rather Eggman pretend to be a good person than be stuck in prison for life. He doesn't even quite practice what he preaches. We are trying to show that the current hero v villain system and Sonic's recklessness currently affects some people poorly and that Sonic isn't a perfect hero.
