Okay I know Ryoma normally isn't like this so here's some context: Elise was being really mean to Sakura just before this quote happened.

I saw this quote from @incorrect-omori-quotes and the date mentioned just happened to be Ryoma's birthday so I made this.

I'm nearly always inflicting some sort of mental trauma on Ryoma so that's why he's "fucked up".

um um um FE takes. i think the funniest fucking thing to ever happen in FE is that takumi trips and falls into the bottomless canyon offscreen. i cannot describe my emotions at having the thing that leads to takumi being the FINAL BOSS of conquest being just "a thing that happens one time" in birthright.

like if you played conquest first (i knew ZILCH about birthright even if i've been rlly enjoying it so far) then this is your explanation. fell in it offscreen. anankos threw him back out because takumi is his blorbo. i choose to believe that azura could cure takumi early not because this is still early stages possession and takumi's soul isn't melted sludge yet, but because anankos is assured that his scrungly gets more screentime than in conquest because this is the hoshido route

takumi just. fucking. spawns in as an enemy in a random map. after the chapter ends everyone goes "damn takumi that was scary. don't do that again" and move on

of note also. AGAIN I'VE MADE TUMBLR POSTS ON THIS ALREADY BUT. ryoma was There when takumi fell in. takumi was PRESUMED DEAD. and ryoma just Fucking Left. (fair tbh considering you can't exactly retrieve a corpse from a BottomLess Canyon). but when ryoma joins the gang he isn't amazed that his brother is alive he's just. oh hi takumi. ryoma what is with you. how many layers of repressing your emotions for the greater good are you on. (everything can have in-universe interesting implications if you've got a shovel and are willing to dig.)

it's so funny. tripped and fell into the canyon offscreen. i can never fucking get over this.
