No offense but I don't understand authors who announce stuff on their fandom blogs lol. Like there isn't any shame in being a fanfic writer but I saw what y'all did to Casey McQuinston. If I get published I do not want to spend the rest of my career with people trying to figure out what my work is based on/if it's just a fic with the serial numbers rubbed off. Nevermind the fact I keep my original fiction ideas separate from my fan fiction completely and so there's no connection to make, but again there were so many accusations about RWRB secretly being rpf even though the literal intro of the book TELLS YOU what inspired it... I don't trust y'all at all with that info.

one of my favorite things about carry on fandom (at least as it has existed since i joined in 2021) is that no one gets hung up on like... writing expertise or fics being "out of character." this is especially impressive because there is SO MUCH character analysis that goes on in this fandom, and yet it never translates to dunking on interpretations of characters that ppl disagree with. there's just genuine joy over the face that people are out here writing and sharing and putting their own twists on stories.

in general, everyone is just so encouraging abt art, and that's such a wonderful environment for people who are new to writing/sharing their writing. and for people who are not new but still feel nervous about putting themselves out there. it's really special! i think it's similar for visual art too

and jegulily just feels like shoving in lily because people feel bad for ditching her, or shoving in regulus because some people like jily and jegulus and want them (for some reason) to coincide even though it makes zeroooo sense for it to. like, idk if i said this with jegulus before (i yap sm on this account i forget what i say), but like it, jegulily can be done well if a realistic dynamic is taken into account, but the marauders fandom is allergic to nuance and so just chalks up everything regulus does and believes to his neglectful homelife. hes not all-bad, sure, i do feel bad for him, but im nowhere close to shipping him with a woman whos part of the people hes trying to eradicate, or with her man who purposefully went against all pureblood tradition (which is such a large part of james’ character— he is a pureblood that chooses to be seperate from that culture hellooooo plz wake uppppp).

marauders fandom has a chronic “i can fix him” mentality when it comes to wizard neo nazis, i have never understood it. but thats a topic for another day.

jegulily should be filled with envy, toxicity and prejudice stop nerfing it to be some fluffy feel-good polyamorous stable marriage where they raise harry together. yall are looking over the potential. this ship has blood and guts in it plz act like it or else idk what to say 😭 if it doesnt end with at least one of them getting murdered i dont want it.

Alright I usually post once every 10 years but I gotta rant about the state of the fandom rn:

I'm floored by this new "trend" of entitled haters writing mind-boggling things like "you MUST take the hate without defending yourself or your LIs cause I'm right and you're wrong" or "you don't have the right to feel upset by what I wrote, you're just too sensitive, go touch grass". Obviously paraphrasing a little here but that's legit the gist of it.

As if that wasn't enough, the same pro-hate blogs will fly off the handle and gang up on anyone who doesn't rain praise on their own faves no matter how polite the discussion which is hyprocrisy at its highest level.

I could maybe close an eye about the character hate even though it wouldn't kill anyone to express dissatisfaction in healthy/funny/constructive ways, but being rude to real people over pixels? The gratuitous disrespect? Shaming people because they don't have the same tastes/likes/dislikes? Attacking strangers just because you don't agree with their personal opinions? Invalidating anyone who isn't a fellow hater? Not letting someone share their thoughts because that's "excusing" a fictional dudebro you don't like? The disgusting intimidation tactics?? HOW ABOUT NO??

Based on your recent post and some of the other asks I've seen you getting... How do you feel about characters (specifically the Ninjago boys) eating with prey inside just to mess with them? Not stuffing or anything. Just playful messing around.

Oh absolutely 10/10 perfection. I honestly love the like, idk messier? Grosser? Sides of vore because to me having a belly with food still in it is a bit more realistic than a squeaky clean stomach you know? But when it comes to eating with someone already inside I think it’s so goofy lol. Like, Cole eating some extra leftovers after he’s already downed Jay just to mess with him, or Kai absentmindedly snacking on some chips after eating Lloyd cause the guy really isn’t that filling. Love it. I also like incorporating folks as part of the dish as well, so like, using Kai as a soup garnish cause he’s got a nice spicy kick to him or adding Jay to some dessert cause he really is very sweet. Fun stuff! Love to see it! I think my very first nin.jago vore drawing on here is actually Jay pouting in a puddle of pudding in Cole’s stomach lmao, so clearly it’s something I love. I also really like slightly larger prey vibing in a full belly like it’s a weird spa or something just cause idk I think the texture would be cool

The only character this doesn’t super apply to sadly is Zane, cause the guy doesn’t really eat, but he’s absolutely not above making the perfect dishes to pair with someone’s flavor if asked you know?

was once again glancing at the lackadaisy reddit and i genuinely feel a little crazy about how people perceive the wick and mitzi arc from retinue to sneakthief? or, honestly, their arc in general. to act as though wick is some patron saint greatly amuses me when it’s implied by mitzi and the comic that wick had either proposed a business deal himself or had been very amendable to talk about it after their kiss and / or other intimate acts last night … mitzi didn’t pull this out of her ass! she did not put this upon wick randomly. it was something they mutually agreed to do, and given how hard wick tries to wiggle away from the conversation without outright saying no ( aka giving excuses to stall ) i would even guess he essentially already agreed to such a deal, in the throes of passion, only for him to not fully mean it later. this doesn’t mean it was right at all for her to then steal from wick! this isn’t me excusing that! but wick isn’t some poor meow meow either in this scenario, even if he is the ‘lesser’ evil overall.

and tbh i also think the conversation was doomed from the start : wick was horrifically exhausted and was still too shaken up by rocky’s ‘joke’ to fully engage with mitzi, as well as finally having church’s warning start to weigh on him … and then there’s mitzi, who wasn’t faring any better! what with viktor out of commission, asa turning on her, mordecai threatening her, and then having spent most of the afternoon hearing her dead husband’s name be thrown around. in order to hurt her and scare her into obedience, mind you. like, neither were in any state to discuss business or romance!! so it’s no surprise it went poorly. especially when both of them were equally sore and testy during their date.

-But at times your insecurities bother him. Like what do you have to be scared of?? He is such a dumbass, you can’t do any worse.

-Obviously, he will tell you that only after teasing you ‘till you are near tears. But Gintoki will stop sooner, he hates tears on his partner’s face.

-It’s all a long process where you both have to learn which boundaries to cross and which is better not to. Relationships take respect and responsibility and we know our whiter-haired boy loves to run away from them.

-You must have a lot of perseverance to keep Gintoki with his ass there talking, real talking, about the important matters in the relationship.

-So as a first relationship the one with Gintoki won’t be easy.

-But for sure smiles will often be shared between you two.
