No scientist would dispute that there is too much momentum in the earth-moon system than can be accounted for even by the Theia hypothesis, and it's not even close.

In my circles, we know there is more than a "man" in the moon, there are cities of ETs in the moon. That's why just about every apollo mission reported seeing UFOs, because it's a legit base for ETs. Look in your mind and you will see them. They will be able to possibly look back at you seeing them if you do this so tread cautiously and only take fleeting glimpses. There's a famous psychic who made contact with them and realized they're somewhat hostile to us, or at least to us becoming more psychically active.

Google Ingo Swann's story about psychic entities within the moon if you care to learn more there, but Mr. Swann isn't the only psychic reporting these experiences.

The hypothesis holds that the moon is actually a radiation shield for an armada of alien motherships, that the moon was piloted through interstellar space long ago, potentially over a billion years, this journey left it with elevated levels of radioactivity due to the interstellar travel, as well as significant scarring on the leading side of the moon, which now faces earth. However those traveling inside the moon would not have experienced that, and would have likely had a comfortable ride. This theory allows for an origin story to the gods that may have appeared to those who wrote ancient "holy" texts. It's plausible that these civs within the moon are genetically engineering life on earth to match their wishes, and not all their wishes are exaclty the same, which is a theme we see repeated in many ancient religious texts.

It's possible that a number of alien species live within the moon / on the far side, they don't all get along, and that's why we don't all get along on earth either; we are perhaps avatars playing out the larger struggle of the heavens; and me I'm perhaps that religious reformer connecting these galactically-disparate ideas that actually relate to each ohter.

It's possible that the myriad ET species that came in with the moon are terraforming and genetically engineering life on earth to accelerate its trajectory toward their goals and ideals, which may overlap in areas, and in other areas, may compete. Obviously there's a government for these ETs somewhere...food for thought, unfinished thoughts clearly

So if I’m speaking Spanish, and I need to say an English word — like a name, brand, website, etc — I say it like a Spanish speaker

However, I hear a lot of speakers drop into a very native English accent in the middle of a sentence to say “el Starbucks” and whatnot (I love hearing it. Just a random completely English-sounding word in a Spanish sentence)

So I’m wondering…

From my personal observations I think native bilinguals do this more, but I’m interested in more data. Feel free to reply or reblog for a more detailed answer!

(EDIT: sorry the poll is so confusing. “YES” means yes, you do the thing I described, changing your accent to a different one in the middle of a sentence)

“I don’t know, I’m sure it must have been something fundamentally important about their morals,” Remus said, threading a hand through Sirius’s hair.

“Well, it might have been, but we only think about them as those mythical figures and never about the fact they were human beings as well,” Sirius started from where he was comfortably lying on Remus’s chest.

“What do you mean?”

“Professor Binns said no one knows the real motivations behind the Founders’ falling out,” Sirius went on. “No one left any kind of record of the time, we just know that they disagreed on what students to bring into their school and even that’s been passed on through the centuries and might not be accurate. Maybe they argued about something else?”

“Like?” Remus asked, sensing his boyfriend was about to embark on one of his long rambling fantasies he loved to listen to.

“Hear me out,” Sirius turned his head to look up at him. “What if we missed something really important? What if old Godric and Salazar were lovers?”

“Interesting. Go on.”

“Being the most powerful of their time they decide to found a school for magic along with their best friends, Rowena and Helga. Kind of like if me and you founded something with Lily and Mary for instance.”

“Alright. So you’re saying Slytherin left Hogwarts because he had a fight with his boyfriend?”

“Well, my darling mother always used to boast the Black family is a direct descendant of his, and we’re nothing other than petty so yes, I can see him storming out because of a fight and never coming back.”

“Now that you say it…” Remus chuckled, and Sirius lightly punched him on the arm. “But what about that legendary Chamber of Secrets Binns was talking about?”

“It was the Middle Ages, Moony,” Sirius rolled his eyes. “Wouldn’t you want a secret chamber to be able to do whatever you want with your lover in peace?”

“Sirius Orion Black,” Remus raised an eyebrow. “Are you implying the Chamber of Secrets, Hogwarts’ most obscure lore is actually Slytherin and Gryffindor’s sex dungeon?”

“You have no proof it wasn’t, Moony.”

“Fine then. But what about the Basilisk Slytherin is said to have left to guard the Chamber when he left?”

“Well, if you ever left me you bet I’d place a fucking Basilisk in your house.”

This 4th of July I’m stealing the patriotism euphoria that’s usually associated with assholes idolizing the worst attributes of this country because fuck ‘em I live here too and remembering the things this country actually got Right is an important exercise when trying to rally anyone to want to defend it in November SO putting my money where my mouth is I’ll start easy and say I really like National Parks!! It’s rad how many of them there are and how they’re actual set up to preserve some of the most beautiful wild areas in our country while still letting people visit to enjoy and experience nature!! (Less important but I love how they put national parks on the quarters I think that’s real fun)

hey about the vow made to radahn?

i had a moment of red string insanity while, as i have been since the dlc dropped, thinking about the motivations and agency of radahn.

(please tell me i'm not the only one stumbling into this hypothesis)

i've been long pondering about gaius, radahn's older brother figure, being an albinauric, one of the opressed people miquella is trying to save. and how he is stated to be cursed from birth, cursed people being also part of miquella's motivations.

i am in the camp that miquella has good intentions, but desperation has driven him to extreme methods. the "he is controlling everyone, nobody is willing!!" angle doesn't sit right with me. frankly, it makes for a less impactful story. it makes things convoluted, where seeing miquella as someone with limited power and a lot of his moves as scrambling to recover from setbacks makes sense. everything didn't go down as planned, there were things out of his control.

so. radahn. he promised to be miquella's consort, for better or worse. what did miquella vow to him?

i considered it, but wanting gaius to be saved doesn't feel like enough motivation for him. or if it was, would the man who learned gravity magic to keep riding his beloved horse decide to abandon his sworn brother so that he can, what, go hog wild in the shattering war?

but thinking about gaius made me think of albinaurics. lack of feet. being cursed from birth. radahn lacks his feet during the festival. that's not anything, scarlet rot rots away limbs all the time.

but scarlet rot doesn't turn your skin gray and sclera black.

marika's children are prone to being born cursed. cursed to be taken over by entities. losing their minds.

it's hard to find a sensible reason for radahn and malenia to have fought. two possibilities i've seen before are 1) radahn wasn't on board with the plan (likely had broken out of miquella's charms and control) so malenia was sent to bring him back in line 2) for some reason, miquella specifically needed him to die and be resurrected, and all the weird circumstances are somehow part of the same plan and make sense for reasons we just can't know but trust me bro they do.

it's interesting that in the story trailer, in radahn's and malenia's fight, radahn's face is shown only for a split second.

was he doomed to be overtaken, to lose himself?

had he lost his mind long before he was afflicted with scarlet rot? had he turned into a scourge, and not much else, before he and malenia fought?

did malenia see herself in him? did she want to give him the death he would have wanted? did she want to help him keep a promise he wouldn't have wanted to break?

did miquella vow to save him, like he did the albinaurics, like he did malenia?

Ok new thought. You think all these parallels between Carmy and Syd. How she is sort of turning into him in a bad way (the hurt, the anxiety, she just taking Carmy's shit without complaining). Is going to be some sort of wake up call for Carmy?

If in season 4 he realizes he has taken her on a downward spiral close to his... of isolation and worry and self-harm. And seeing it in her is so awful he just can't take it. Like if he were to witness a panic attack like the one she had in Forever, I think he would die. I mean, I think it would finally take him out of his black hole and realize he is doing harm to others you know? And not just to others but to Sydney! I feel something like that would make him go all "never again" and suddenly he would rehabilitate himself instantly, like a bucket of cold water... and he will really listen to everything she says and manage to communicate better and finally turn into less of an asshole in the kitchen??

Think about characters that the show tends to portray as innocent and chill but still 100% know Conan is Not who he pretends to be. Jodie should by now at least strongly suspect Conan is Shinichi. We have seen she's not a bad detective (in figuring out Akai faked his death), she knows Vermouth has stayed young for 20+ years and she heard her talking to Haibara at the docks, so she could probably do some research and put two and two together. Like by now she should know. Maybe she's just not addressing it to protect him?

And then there's Takagi. He doesn't have half the information Jodie does, but come on. After the "who are you" scene in the elevator???? Being answered he'll tell him in the afterlife and ending up not getting a reply???? And then moving on like nothing happened???? Like you gotta admit. Something weird must've happened inside his brain. How do you even justify that. "Maybe he's the spirit protector of cops incarnate I'd better do as he says and act natural lest he casts a Curse upon me" or some shit similar. Surely not Shinichi Kudo shrunk by a criminal organisation that would be too weird.
