there are many bad things you can say about pokemon scvi but the ost is the best we’ve had since gen 5 (the final boss song legit sounds like a cut bw2 track istg) and it’s wonderful. gen 6-8 had a phenomenal soundtrack too, don’t get me wrong, but the 2d games soundtrack was on another level and while Gen 9 isn’t QUITE there yet it definitely feels like a return to those days where every song had to have a super unique melody bc you didn’t have many instruments.

pokemon team

ettie ♀ - milo's first pokemon, met as a woobat the night milo got isekai-ed! trainerless but taken to a pokemon center for mild injuries, she managed to escape containment and stick herself to milo's cheek, and has been with them ever since. she's goofy and sweet. she's also a service pokemon, using calm mind to help milo with their anxiety.

julian ♀ - originally caught as a venipede in a subway tunnel by ingo helping the interpol survey the line milo dimension-hopped on. he gave her to them a few months later so they'd have a slightly stronger pokemon to look after them while training ettie. she's now milo's ace, and their main form of transportation in hisui.

peridot ○ - caught in a visit to celestial tower! a gaggle of elgyem started following milo, fascinated by their non-native psychic vibes. peridot was the boldest, and came with them after a friendly battle. it's incredibly curious about human objects + technology and will frequently pick things up to examine with them with the utmost care

dewdrop ♂ - fished up during milo's time in hoenn! he's a spunky creature, very personable, and the most enthusiastic battler on milo's team. has never quite gotten the hang of using healing moves.

outfits

isekai - their usual winter gear from earth, what they were wearing when they got isekai-ed. their giant thrifted ski jacket from the 90s is exceptionally warm. you can only see the straps, but they had their backpack on them as well! earthly belongings that came with them include several class notebooks, a tarot deck and journal, a box set of their favorite horror ttrpg, a deck of cards, their phone, headphones, and a phone charger. they were on their way back from visiting friends when they got eeby deebied to the pokemon world.

casual - an average outfit they end up with while in the process of settling in! they wear this and similar outfits in their everyday life, going to their galarian language lessons and to work in the quilt shop in nimbasa. the grey tank is band merch from a hard rock/metal band called Destiny Bond that elesa introduces them to. :]

events - when they're going out somewhere and want to Look Good, milo goes full 70s twink! nothing like some good fruity androgyny. they are incredibly glad historical fashion trends of the pokemon world mirror earth's.

hisui - the first few months in hisui they spend in the couple sets of plainclothes they brought with them from the future, but once they get to jubilife, milo does a LOT of trading to acquire various outfits from the clothier's! they favor women's hakama and geta sandals when in town. their original glasses from earth get lost early on in an incident with a flock of staravia, so they go a few months without until they're able to get new ones.

For everyone who’s been waiting patiently (with teeth clenched on news from Level 5 on Layton and Fantasy Life.) Boi I have some good news

Level 5 will be at the Tokyo game show and showing off their upcoming titles September 21-24.

It very likely that they will be dropping release dates during this time so please be sure to check it out (You may have to delve on the Japanese side of the internet since Level 5 is a little slow about info coming to the west but believe me. These games are coming.)

I need, in my life, Post-Indigo Disk, Drayton being the only one who realizes this chick who fell out of the sky because of Celebi—who has brown and green hair in a weird pattern that suspiciously resembles two people he knows—is Kiki and Juli's future daughter

Carmine does catch on, but a part of her thinks it's funny to pretend that she doesn't get the very logical conclusion he's pointing out because it's so rare for her to be the one with the upper hand??

It gets better when the girl catches on to what Aunt Carmine's doing, and she's like, "sorry, Uncle Drayton, this is for all the times you played a prank on me. Aunt Carmine's my favorite now <3"

Look, to any trainer who releases their Pokemon in person: I know it feels more "personal," but please please please use the storage system release function; it sends the Pokemon to us so we can evaluate if it's even releasable and send it to the right place so it won't destroy the local ecosystem, and to rehome Pokemon that can't be safely released to the proper trainers or facilities.

Releasing on the spot is how you get Unova's out-of-wack ecosystem (thanks Team Plasma) and we have to send someone to re-catch them, which is just stressful for everyone.

Also a big fuck you to mass-breeders and anyone who releases fossil Pokemon, I hope a Joltik makes a nest in your fusebox.

The pokemon outside of the pokemon center is a kirlia, the emotion pokemon, psychic/fairy. As you'd expect, they tend to be very aware of their trainers emotions. If they were dumped you should try take them inside the center to at least get some food and water, along with reporting the release to a nurse. They'll probably have some ideas on how to proceed. -Aquanon

finally picked up pokemon shield after months of not playing it and i really enjoy it this time

think i was just not into pokemon at the time, when i was first playing it and trying to get into it. it's not that bad, really. not the BEST pokemon game, but it's alright for what it is

I never got to play gen six onwards tho so like, I can only judge the champs from gens one to five

Anyways the hardest ones for me was Green and Emerald Steven

My first playthrough of FireRed, Green really fucked me up along w Lorelei, like I hated those two so damn much bc they made me go through those bullshit battles over and over again

Emerald Steven was smth else man like he really bodied my team chmdnd hahaha cause yeah you see him post game in Meteor Falls yeah, and ofc I didn't fucking expect we could battle him, so yeah my team got swept and it was humiliating and I cheated in rare candies to body his team back bc that was a shot at my pride I'm ngl
