(27yo Anon again) If it's any consolation I think my brain just generally divides people online up into 'Child' and 'Not Child' with anybody who falls into the 'Not Child' category automatically being my age because what other ages are there even in this world? I don't have a clue!
do i fall under the child category now or am i in purgatory

my stages of watching columbo
1: hahah hes just a silly detective ;)
2: columbo is actually a cunning manipulative liar that hides his true persona behind the facade of a slow and clumsy middle class detective
3: hahah hes just a silly detective ;)

lokius is so funny, because here's this middle aged dad that loves key lime pie and wears the same outfit everyday, and there's loki, the god of mischief and chaos, arguably one of the most unpredictable characters, looking at mobius like everything he says is surprising.

Hey, I had a thought for the fantasy au! So on one of the previous versions of the WH website, there was a rhyme for the show that went:
A house is a place with four walls and a floor,
with a ceiling above and a lovely front door.
There's a bed to cradle you safely at night,
and windows to bring in the morning sunlight.
Your house is a mirror of just who you are,
A reflection that tells you to never stray far.
Which I thought might make a good incantation for when Wally properly summons Home (I can't remember if that's ever required for Warlocks but hey, it's still a fun poem regardless).
ohhhh this. i like this...

I like to imagine that the version of Galicaea that answers Tracker in her prayers is less human than the version Kristen met in sophomore year

the rage I feel when reading Blood of Olympus chapters 45-56 is almost equivalent in magnitude to the absolute joy I experience when reading The Last Olympian chapters 1-23.
remember when percabeth was good? when they meant the world to each other but had other people they cared about (nico, for one. both of them. so much), other worries and other storylines aside from their romantic plot? and when nico's completed arc wasn't repeated for no reason other than to dump more trauma on the youngest character in the series? when background characters were included in the story not for all the unnecessary last minute romantic subplots but because they were fun and fascinating to learn more about? and were actually friends with main characters? remember when grover was percy and annabeth's best friend forever? and antagonists were actually interesting and intimidating and had compelling goals? and the story revolved around friendship and family and loyalty? and death was definite and loss was palpable and battles were thrilling?
yeah. good times.

in addition to really complex grief, liam's passing has also stirred up anxieties i have about life and death, about our limited time on earth and the pressure to do something with that time. i think we owe it to ourselves to feel grief thoroughly (rather than push it down or minimize it), but i think the next thing we can do -- when we're ready -- is live the life we would've wanted for those we've lost and not give into hopelessness or melancholy. i struggle with the concept of people just not being here anymore. it feels like an error in the matrix. or a flaw in human design. that someone can be here and their presence and their spirit can be so clear and indisputable and then in the next instance, and very quickly, just not be anymore. except it isn't true that their presence or their spirit simply vanishes. i do think it lives on in other ppl. and i do think that's why we have to go on living fully and fiercely in spite of loss. bc the act of living keeps them alive in some way too.
i wanted to drop a note here to say that i support you all in however you're feeling and i love you. pls be kind to yourself and to others. and take all the time you need... xx

bill finn you genius when you made sure to grant all of your characters names and specific labels while only referring to aids as ‘something’ or ‘something bad’ to ensure that audiences first and foremost have concern for and realise the tragic circumstances for the people (who are easier to understand) impacted by the disease and not aids itself which is a direct contrast to reality where names like ‘aids’, ‘grid’ and ‘gay cancer’ were thrown around and even laughed at by people who have the power to fix it, while the victims and their loved ones were granted no humanity and dissolved into numbers printed into the new york times.
bill finn you absolute genius.
