#none of you understand how voting works and it's painful#if you abstain out of principle#then the people you hate will do better because there are fewer votes for their opponents#and therefore they win a higher percentage of the total vote#it literally skews the results in Favour of the one you hate#we really actually are this thick to not have a basic grasp on the mechanism of a public vote aren't we?#how depressing#please learn this lesson before the next election wherever you live because this is the type of shit that keeps me up at night

Kamala Harris: Donald trump refuses to release his medical records, and he is unwilling to meet for a second debate. Why does his staff want him to hide away? are they afraid that people will see that he is too weak and unstable to lead America?
Yall...come the fuck on, just call yourself blue maga officially and be fucking done with it. Trump literally made a tweet like this in 2020 about biden, and yall critized it to hell and back. But i'm sure the blue anon shitheads are drinking this up. Yall have gone without critically thinking to the point you are afraid of. Gotta cling to the illusion that you are somehow morally superior to trump WHILE DOING THE SAME FUCKING SHIT. Yall the democrats have finally stopped even pretending. They will not save Black, Gay, Trans, Disabled, etc etc etc. They will sell us as long as it means they keep a bit of power and then the Republicans will stab them in the back just like the Nazis did (seriously i'm begging yall to fucking learn your fucking history and look up the night of long knives) This fucking sell out shit will not save your ass, nor will it give you a comfortable noose. You will die in pain and screaming like the rest of us you think you're better then. The only way out of this is to finally understand property isn't people in regards to violence, build community and actual comradery, and to be willing to actually do some legit fighting. Voting isn't going to save us, hell it barely counts as fucking anything anymore. The only good it does is local elections at this point. Yall little fucking posers go on and on about how bad capitalism is and how we need socialism and shit yet you can't do even the most basic work to kill the capitalist/cop/fascist/etc in your fucking head. "I'm anti-capitalist, "i'm anti-bigotry, i'm anti-fascist" yet yall fucking assholes just do the same fucking shit day in and day out. No fucking praxis, fucking none. Like, grow the fuck up and do better. Or at least just stop pretending that you are anything than a loyal dog to your capitalist masters.

I love so many different ships with Strange and each relationship develops so differently. I like Clea Strange because she is always Strange's equal, she is not a damsel in distress, but in the same way studies magic and fighting and can take on the responsibilities of protecting her world or Earth.
I donât know in which country what the habits are, but here in Ukraine, on March 8th, men usually congratulate women something like âyou are such gentle and beautiful flowers, thank you for decorating our lives so much, inspiring us so much, take care of us. We wish you to always remain so beautiful, we wish you to find true female happiness (this means finding a man and getting married successfully), etc. " Then they give us a frying pan or some household item, as if this is exactly the one thing that every woman dreams of, flower and sometimes husbands take the responsibility of cooking on this day. Wow.
Of course, this is not done out of malice. None of them, or almost no one, Iâm sure, wants to somehow offend a woman with such behavior, but just think about this.
March 8 is the day of womenâs solidarity in the struggle for equal rights, for the right to be not only a muse and âhearth keeper,â but also for the right to simply be human. for the right that women, those who literally create and raise humanity, throughout the history of mankind, did not have, except for small historical moments of relaxation in some societies, and then very weak ones. And in many countries they still donât. And itâs incredibly wild and painful.
This is the right to be not only a flower and decoration of a manâs life, but also to decide your own destiny. And all we hear in this day is "be kind as spring, be gentle as flower, here's a pan, isn't it everything you wish?"
I am so happy to live in a time when I can live my own life and earn my own living. My father could not marry me off against my will, and, knowing his character, he would have done so if he had the opportunity. I have the right to manage my property and have received an education. Such simple joys of a free person that many women did not even dare to dream about a hundred years ago.
I would like to thank all the women who made this possible for us, suffragettes, feminists, who demanded equal pay, demanded to reduce the working day from 16 to 10 hours, demanded voting rights. They were beaten and thrown into prison, barbarically force-fed when they went on hunger strike. Society hounded and mocked them, just google the caricatures of those years.
The most offensive thing is that women themselves were part of the bullying society, those who were taught to be obedient and comfortable and who taught this to their daughters, spreading from century to century the ideology of second-classness, which is very destructive for women. And even now in many countries, when terrible stories happen like a father and his sons trying to kill their daughter because she married whoever she wanted, the mother supports the killers, and not her own child, because the shame is on the woman. Always on the woman, no matter what they do to her. Being raped is a shame, being childless is a shame, giving birth out of wedlock is a shame. She left her husband who beats her - itâs a shame. She wore pants instead of a dress with a corset - well, you get the idea.
So many unfortunate broken flowers throughout history.
And just imagine how much faster humanity could develop if not only one half of humanity were allowed to create and learn! Look at the fandom artists and writers, most of them are girls. Now remove all the girls from the list of all fandom artists, leaving only the guys, and you will understand what humanity has been deprived of for thousands of years. Guys, your work is also wonderful, I have nothing against you. But I just see how many artists there are women, itâs just 70 or 80 percent, at least of those whose work I see on social networks or on Pinterest. We had frightening losses that we did not even notice, and many beautiful drawings and many wonderful stories withered and decayed in home notebooks and albums in attics, because women were not published. Only children's books, that's all you're good for.
I like living in this time.
I like to see how younger couples around me are gradually getting used to the fact that household responsibilities are not only the womanâs business, but also the manâs. And really, how weird it was. When a man worked at work and a woman at home, this could still be dealt with. But when both work, to think that after work a woman should bring groceries, cook food, clean, do homework with the children while the man rests after work - this is nonsense! But our women have lived like this for almost a hundred years, and many still live by this ingrained habit and teach their daughters this, âotherwise the husband will leave for another, a better and more comfortable housewife.â When will this end?!
I see many film studios, including Marvel, trying to be on trend and in line with the spirit of the times, but doing it so ineptly and without the slightest understanding that it causes more frustration than gratitude.
Itâs the same as if you asked for bread in a store, but they covered it with cream and glitter, wrapped it in pink packaging and didnât let you carry it yourself, otherwise it would suddenly be too heavy and you wouldnât be able to handle it. And we just need simple, honestly earned bread.
Often in films they try to show a strong female character as some kind of Mary-Sue, an imba, a standard Superman, but in a skirt. And to emphasize this, such heroines are shown as almost super-cool, emotionless robots against the backdrop of stupid, weak men.
But this is not what we would like to see, not what women and humanity need.
I can't speak for all women, but I think we don't want to be the strongest males. We want to be able to become as strong as our character will allow, if we want to. We don't want to be stronger than anyone, we don't need to surround ourselves with weaklings to feel strong. We want an equal partner who will never say something like "I'm a man, so I'm in charge. You're a woman, so submit and don't talk back."
It's scary to think how many women still live in a world where they are forbidden to live their lives the way they want; where they are tortured and no one, not family, not the state, will protect them, because this is âthe norm and traditions.â
So on the holiday of March 8, I wish all women that they live in a world where their equal rights with men will become such a common thing that they will never think that it could be otherwise. and men, knowing that a woman can divorce and leave him if he offends her, will become less aggressive and more understanding. Iâm not saying that all men are like this, but, unfortunately, very often practice shows that as soon as a woman becomes dependent on a man, for example, while caring for a baby, husbands begin to take advantage of this and behave... as they should not there would be.
So, congratulations with March 8, girls. Remember the millennia that we lived without rights. Appreciate the rights we have now. Help those who still donât have them. And be happy living your life the way you want.
P.S. I may make mistakes in English, I will be grateful if you point them out to me if you notice them.
Also feel free to write anything, share a thought or story if you wish.

Arion's Angel - Chapter Six
Pairings: Slight Bucky x Reader
Word Count: 1262
Warnings: N/A
Balcony, Avengers Tower
Rushing out of the conference room you head back to the bedroom that Bucky had shown you earlier. You enter and slam the door behind you, the room is equipped with a balcony so you decide to head out onto it. Despite not needing to breathe, you were desperate for the fresh air.
You collapse against the railing and cry quietly, youâd been through unimaginable pain throughout the centuries youâd been alive but nothing had ever come close to losing your children and murdering your own son. Luca hadnât even told you to bring up your past, at least not in that much detail but when youâd started speaking you just couldnât stop.
Conference Room, Avengers Tower
To say that your story had shocked the Avengers was an understatement. Silence engulfed the room for around ten minutes and each member of the team took that time to try and process what youâd told them. Steve was the first to speak up but even he was unsure of what to say after the information youâd just dropped on them, âSo what are peopleâs initial thoughts? This is our time to talk about it without anyoneâs feelings getting hurtâ
Tony sighs heavily when no one else speaks up, âPersonally I donât think she should be on the team. Sheâs clearly unstable. She killed her own son. Whatâs to stop her from killing any of us? Sheâs not even human, I mean we saw the way she tore those Hydra agents apart. It was..It was animalistic. I understand that she had a terrible start in life but she still hasnât accounted for the next three hundred and eighty years after being made into a vampire. You canât tell me that she didnât kill anyone in all that time..â he says firmly.
Wanda frowns slightly at Tonyâs words, âI disagree. You have no idea what itâs like Tony. To have a power that you canât control. You saw how broken up and regretful she was when talking about her children. Thatâs not the response of someone who doesnât care about people, especially those she loves. I think she should be allowed to join the team. Or she should at least be able to stay here until we see how she works within the groupâ she states softly.
Natasha clears her throat and leans forward to rest her elbows on the conference room table, âI agree with Wanda. Y/N deserves a chance to prove to us that she wants to be a member of this team. Most of us have skeletons in our past and enough red in our ledgers to last a lifetime. Just because sheâs not exactly human doesnât mean we give up on her. Half of the members of this team arenât human to begin with, I mean just take a look around, Thorâs a god, Vision is an android and Bruce has an alter ego. I vote for her to stay with usâ she says firmly, the tone of her voice advised none of them to argue with her.
Yelena canât stop the laugh that escapes her which causes everyone in the room to stare at her in confusion, âSorry Iâve just not heard Natasha speak that sternly since we were kidsâ she explains. Natasha rolls her eyes at her sisterâs behaviour, âReally Yelena? This isnât the most appropriate time for you to reminisceâ she chastises.
Yelena shrugs her shoulders, âWell I think she should stay, I donât even feel like I need to explain why, itâs pretty damn obvious that she deserves a shot at being a member of this team. I think we should just move onâ she says while leaning back in her chair.
The team continued to discuss your future but Bucky had heard enough. His only thought was that youâd rushed out of here in tears and that not one person had gone to check on you. He stands up from his chair and while the rest of the team is deep in conversation and arguments he slips out of the room to look for you.
Bucky figured that you would have headed back to your bedroom considering you hadnât been shown around the tower yet. He reaches your bedroom door and debates on whether he should just walk in or knock first.
Your Bedroom, Avengers Tower
You were still leaning against the railing of the balcony when you heard someone outside of your bedroom door. You focus and smile slightly when you recognize the smell of Bucky and the steady rate of his heartbeat. You step away from the railing and walk towards the bedroom door, you grab hold of the handle and open the door.
Bucky stares at you in shock, âOh..erm..I..I wasnât just lurking around out here, I swear. I just..I wanted to come and check on you. That must have been hard for you to talk aboutâ he says softly.
You couldnât believe how sweet and kind this man in front of you was, Luca had told you that he was nothing but a machine but you knew that was a lie.
Opening the bedroom door further, you invite Bucky into the room. He steps inside and you shut the door, âYeah..It was..Itâs a lot..I havenât spoken about my past in a very long time. Or my family or my..erm..kids for that matter. You must think Iâm a monster, right? For what I did..â you say quietly. Every fibre of your being hoped that Bucky wouldnât hate you and not just for the benefit of the mission either.
Bucky sighs softly and shakes his head with a slight smile, âNo I donât think youâre a monster. I know a little something about not being in control of your own mind or body. And I know that you never would have hurt the people you love if you had a choice. I understand the feeling of guilt and remorse you must have experienced after coming back to your senses. So no Y/N you wonât ever be a monster to me..â he says genuinely.Â
You stood there completely gobsmacked for a minute, youâd wanted and needed him to believe in you but you could never have predicted how genuine heâd be or that heâd be able to relate to you on such a deep level. Not knowing what else to do you take a step towards him and wrap your arms around his neck pulling him into a tight hug, âThank you Buckyâ you whisper while inhaling his scent.
The mixture of vanilla, leather and wood was quickly becoming a comfort for you, never mind the scent from his blood that was enough to drive you wild.
Bucky cradles you against his chest, âYouâre welcome Y/N. Youâre not alone anymoreâ he says gently.
You pull away from the hug and sigh gently, âThe rest of the team have to make that decision yet. I know Tony doesnât want me here, Iâm sure others will agree with himâ you say sadly. You needed the team to accept you or youâd have to face the consequences from Luca.
Bucky chuckles gently, âNatasha, Yelena and Wanda were pretty passionate about you staying. And those three are pretty persuasive when they get together. I wouldnât worry your pretty head about it. Why donât we go for a walk until theyâve made a decision? Itâll keep your mind occupiedâ he suggests.
You blush and nod your head, âIâd love toâ you say with a smile.Â

Frequestly Asked Questions
The FAQ was getting kinda long, so I've decided to cut it off into its own post so the pinned post loads better for people on slow connections
Q. When are submissions opening? (Pinning this one to the top, because it's by far the question we get the most) Short answer... I don't know, sorry! Long answer... Because of the way the blog is set up, it's very hard for me to figure that out. Basically, each fandom gets one poll a week, but as there are often multiple characters for some fandoms in the submissions form, it's a pain to figure out exactly how many characters are left to add new polls for when you factor out the repeat fandoms (and also, if a repeat fandom's poll would end before submissions are opened, then a new character from that fandom will be polled before submissions are opened, meaning I'd need to work that out as well). There are often about 200 characters in the submissions form, so you can understand this is too much for me to figure out manually, especially since I'm a full-time shift worker, so my schedule doesn't give me a lot of free time. I don't even like to give a ball park estimate to this question, because with being a shift worker, if I have to do a lot of extra work at short notice and can't meet when I said I'd open submissions, I feel like I'e let you all down and that feeling sucks However, when I do open submissions I try to vary it so that one round will be open at roughly 7-10am GMT and the next round will be open at roughly 7-10pm GMT, to try to catch as many people possible. I know that's not ideal for everyone and people have expressed disapointment about this in the past, but those are all the hours I'm able to give :(
Q. How does this blog work? A. A post featuring a blorbo shall be made, stating who they are and their source material. A poll will be attached set to one week, asking if the blorbo should join the tumblr found family. At the end of the week, based on the result, I will announce if the blorbo has joined or not Q. What is a found family? A. A found family is a family you find for yourself. It is a term often used in fandom to describe a group of characters who aren't related by blood (although a few members might be) but have come to think of each other as a family through circumstance. Alternatively, they might not be officially regarded as a found family in canon, but parts of fandom regards them as such Q. Is this a tournament bracket? A. Nope, blorbos aren't competing against each other, they're only here to be judged by you. We are here enternally submitting blorbos (at least until I run out of steam or pass away lol) Q. I'm not sure if my blorbo counts because of ___ reason? A. If it's not any of the reasons mentioned in the rules, then feel free to send an ask. Or just submit them anyway and I'll decide Q. I submitted a blorbo and they haven't been posted. Did you get them? A. Again, feel free to send an ask. I don't have a regular schedule for posting these. Somedays there'll be batches of polls, others there'll be one or none Q. My blorbos are a duo/trio/etc., who cannot be separated. Can I submit them as a group? A. While I would prefer to stick to individual characters, if you have some who absolutely cannot be separated, I might make exceptions. Most likely, I'll make a poll asking if they should be judged as a group or individually, since there's a lot of media I won't be familiar with Q. My blorbo didn't get voted into the found family! Fuck you! A. Friend, as a fan of Theseus from Hades Game, I understand what it's like to have your fave hated by fandom. Anything decided on this blog can never affect your personal headcanons, so go in peace with your middle finger held high Q. What are your icon and header? A. The icon is of the Pokemon Bouffalant and Natu, based on a series of trading card art where Bouffalant finds two Natu and rescues them - the true spirit of found family. The header is a group of characters called the Black Ravens from the Professor Layton series - a group of ragtag working-class kids who make a black market together Q. I wrote some propaganda on the submission form, can you post it or send it back to me? A. Submissions are deleted as the polls are posted, so I can keep track of how many I have left to post, which means I can't do this. Please save your propaganda for the post and not the submissions form Q. Did you know you used fan art on ___ poll? A. Unless I'd mentioned getting permission from the artist, then please assume that I did not know and let me know. I hate art theft and wouldn't want to partake in that, but I'm just not familiar with a good 80% of the series submitted, so sometimes it might slip through the cracks Q. Can I submit a character who isn't my blorbo? A. Also fine! I enjoy it when people submit controversial characters to see how they'll do Q. What happens if there's a tie? A. The blorbo in question becomes an occassional family member who appears with our found family for some important cutscenes, but isn't officially considered part of the found family. That is essentially the only idea I've had for ties, but I'm open to suggestions for something better or funnier
Q. No, but seriously, my blorbo got ditched. Do they get another chance? A. At the beginning of each year we host a Redemption Event, where any past blorbos who were submitted get another chance. Because of the high volume of ditched characters, to be included in the event, your character will need to be submitted with propaganda via a form that will be released about a month before the event Q. I think the image used is a big reason why my blorbo got ditched. Why did you use that image? A. If an image hasn't been submitted, I will just grab one from an image search result in most cases. You know your blorbos best, so if you have a specific (non-fan art) image that you think shows them in their best light, please do submit it when you submit them Q. Did you mean the book version or movie version of that character? A. Whichever version of the blorbo that gets submitted, that'll be the one I use. If no specific version is mentioned, I'll just post that blorbo in general and use whatever image is most common when I look them up, unless an image has been submitted or a book cover has been requested to be used Q. My blorbo is a character played by a youtuber and/or streamer, not the youtuber or streamer themselves, is that okay? A. If it's a character, then it's fine. But please mention this on the submission. Because if I look them up and the result looks to be just some real person, they won't be included. I am largely unfamiliar with these kind of fandoms and will always err on the side of caution about their inclusion Q. What counts as a "sweep"? A. Any character who gets 90% or higher in either joining or not joining is counted as a sweep. This doesn't give them anything extra, it's just for bragging rights Q. What counts as a "close call"? A. Any character who's poll results are within the 49%-51% range for join/don't join is counted as a close call Q. How many characters can I submit at a time? A. There's no hard rule, since the form doesn't track emails, but please be considerate to others and try not to submit more than 10 characters per submission period. See next question for more details Q. How many characters from the same series can I submit at a time? A. Four (4) characters per series per submission period. I'll be lenient for if they've been submitted by multiple people, but from my experience running this blog, it's only Pokemon or the current Hot New Thing that'll be submitted by multiple people and anything else is usually one person submitting one character after another. I used to allow more, but people took this for granted and submitted 50+ from the same series, so now 4 is the cap Q. You missed a tag from that poll! Can it be added? A. Sure! Tags are either provided by the submitter or where left blank, I'll use my best guess. At minimum, you'll get the name of the character and series as they've been submitted. If you know more, let me know and I'll add them to the post during the voting period. Please note: The polls themselves cannot be edited after being posted, only the tags Q. Can fictional characters based on real people be submitted? A. Fictional characters that are inspired by real people (e.g. Steven Universe being inspired by Rebecca Sugar's brother) are generally fine. But characters that are basically just some real celebrity making a cameo somewhere (e.g. Simon Cowell appearing on the Simpsons), are a no Q. I don't understand what this blog is A. Don't worry about it, friend. Just keep driving and whatever you do, don't wind down the window. We'll be safe soon :) Q. Didn't this blog used to be called the Found Family Adoption Agency? A. It did, but I was made aware that the language used on the blog could be seen as potentially harmful to real life adoptees, so I changed the name of the blog and made some edits to try to avoid using such language. Posts made prior to 5th May 2024 will still contain references to adopt/ditching, so tread with caution on older posts

âȘ note: SO SORRY ANON FOR TAKING SUCH A LONG TIME WORKING ON THIS... uni be damned i'll try my best to finish writing all the requests i have in my inbox! (also i really should make a masterlist..)
âȘ summary: after the first trial, shidou has been voted innocent.. not the verdict he was hoping for. and now he has mahiru and fuuta's injuries to take care of. the second trial is already a lot for him, so you can only hope you can help him somehow.
âȘ warnings: noneÂ
âȘ shidou just couldn't understand why he was forgiven. he literally asked for a death penalty. yes, he knew about the three trials system, but he could still be voted guilty after the first trial, right? he thought this would make es's work easier, they don't even have to think about his verdict, they just have to vote him guilty and that's it. but for some reason unknown to him, the 15 year old guard still decided to forgive him. why? maybe there was something wrong with his video? or.. it actually was their idea of punishing him?
âȘ you didn't know anything about shidou's crime. you had some thoughts, but theorizing about a fellow prisoner's crime felt wrong and weird. however, you still couldn't agree with his own opinion on his crime. you've talked to him before, you've seen him help others, you just couldn't believe that someone like him could've committed such a horrible crime that he deserved to die for it. maybe you did like him. maybe you were biased. but hey, you doubt that the guard's judgement was 100% unbiased either.
âȘ you've seen him help mahiru and fuuta. mahiru could've literally died if it wasn't for him. how can someone like him deserve to be executed for his crime? maybe you just don't want to accept the truth. maybe you just don't want to accept that even someone like shidou is responsible for murdering someone. maybe even more than one person. yes, you're a prisoner as well, but it was hard for you to accept that other prisoners are murderers too, especially someone as young as amane.
âȘ shidou doesn't understand why you're so nice to him. don't get him wrong, he appreciates it, but he still feels like he doesn't deserve to be treated this way by you. you're just so gentle, so kind, so sweet, he doesn't understand why you're here just as much as you don't understand why he's here. he will never ask you about your crime though. he understands that it obviously can be something that is hard for you to talk about. if you want to talk about it though, he will listen.
âȘ your conversations with shidou are calm and quiet. nobody knows what you two are talking about. nobody can even hear you. sometimes you two sit in complete silence and it's not boring or awkward or anything. you appreciate each other's company and you both just feel a little lighter. if shidou looks tired, you ask if there's anything you can help him with. whether or not you have experience with medical help, you don't mind taking care of other prisoners even if it's just staying by their side while they sleep. you just want to help shidou somehow.
âȘ when shidou goes back to check up on mahiru's condition and sees you talking to her and making her laugh and smile even if she's still in pain and making her day brighter, he can't help but smile too. even if he doesn't ask you, you still offer him your help. you still continue to treat shidou with kindness and you don't expect anything from him. when he asks you about everything that you do, you simply shrug and say that "it feels like the right thing to do". haha, you're even more pure than he thought.
âȘ when shidou spends time with you, he forgets about his own pain for a minute and at first he felt extremely guilty for that. how can he forget about it? how can he even think about possibly forgetting about it? this is why he deserves a death penalty, this is why he deserves a guilty vote, this is why he deserves to be here. he doesn't know what it is about you that makes him feel like maybe it's okay for him to keep living. ah, no, no, it doesn't mean that you, uh.. remind him of someone from his past. you are you, after all. and it's you who adds at least some kind of meaning to his life at the moment, not counting the prisoners who need his help, of course.
âȘ shidou makes sure you get enough rest as well and he's quick to notice if something is wrong. maybe you look more tired than usual, maybe you're refusing to eat, maybe you move a bit slower. he will gently remind you to take a break and will even make sure you get one. you can take a nap while he's in the same room as you, it's fine, there's no need to rush or push yourself. of course, he's worried about all the prisoners here, but for some reason, the thought of losing you.. hurts him the most.Â

What a surprise that todayâs the new episode dropped today! I loved it so much that I listen to it twice. The first during work because I couldnât wait until class time where I need to listen to something while doing my art project in class, the second time... during class while doing my art project.
The âmysterious planetâ earth is the Indus valley of the intergalactic world. Cool Clementine to offer that to the crew but the episode perfectly articulate my thoughts on why trying to fix past mistakes, even if you had the power to do so, is bad idea. Even if She could wave her hand and give them what they wish for, The characters went through some character developments that fundamentally changed them, why would you exchange all that to go back to their statue quo? The crew develop a bond that's deeper than friends, they are now a family (aww~). Leif's got it all figured out, I gotta give him props for that. I bet even if his past was rewritten and everything was perfect, he'd still be unhappy. Who would wanna miss out on a kickass journey sailing among the stars as a space pirate, finding tech lightyears ahead of Earth's, and meeting the amazing Bert Bert? And of course, meeting some of the coolest people in a time traveling, dimension hopping Diner. They may be from earth but the likelihood of crossing each otherâs paths, becoming friends with something in common is not even slim, itâs none. I wanna hug Gloria. Hopefully Iâll never know the pain to lose parents that way, though when the time comes when I have to say good bye to them, I see how soul crushing grieving look like and that isnât a gradual linear process. I dread that day. Effie is a really wise lady. Had someone like her been in my life, Iâm 100% sure I wouldnât turn out to be an atheist. Or at least be a deist. Amusing that in her lil sermon, she was hoping they stayed and let out a sigh of relief when they told her that they werenât going to take the deal.  Although Ava is all about the science and logic when it comes to persuading Caspar to stay, he's totally justified in feeling annoyed that she's not taking him as a person into account. Deep down, she cares about him a lot and likes his company even though they bicker a lot, even if she canât or doesnât realize it yet. It's a significant change in her attitude compared to the last episode of season 2 when she did not understand whatâs Caspar's purpose being in the diner but now running around the landscape looking for him, wants him to stay. Itâs not like the whole science discoveries and whatnots is gonna end if he hop off the ship. Loved that Leif, Caspar, Ava and Effie were excited to commit crimes. Lol, Effieâs mischievous behavior. âWellll, while the catâs awaaaaay.....â BTS wolves are back! J-Hope-wolf is adorable for trying to communicate to Caspar that he wanted rabbit stew. Good thing that Gloria is there to feed the baby. I love Caspar naming weird things random words. I vote for shopzies 1+ Agreed what Gloria said about respecting ancient lost civilization places and not judging harshly. Thatâs my thoughts on Mesoamerican's culture. Gruesome yeah, but to them, They thought of their action as noble if you consider the context. Rooting for Gloria to punch Clementine on the Tit! I hope i wrote this articulate enough and make sense. Especially between Caspar and Ava paragraph. Pretty sure Iâll listen to it again a few times until the next episode. YUS! I headcanon Clementine as a redhead.Â

The painful truth is that not voting is the morally worst option you could choose.
Let me explain.
Itâs going to be one or the other, you know this fact, because this is the system. Your options are the asshole currently in office who cannot stop anything single-handedly whether you wish he could or not, or the guy with support to make things 1,000 times worse than they are.
The planet will be fucked.
Queers, disableds, and anyone outside a specific group will be fucked.
Wage stagnation will worsen with no hope of improvement.
Foreign policy will worsen - and donât be surprised if donating to help Palestine or anyone the government isnât supporting get deemed an illegal act.
If you donât stand by your convictions for a better tomorrow, and vote, then youâre supporting the people with no moral hang ups, and letting them decide everyone elseâs fate.
Whatâs worse, is that itâs a cycle.
Morally upstanding and righteously angry people rally and get a little leeway in the right direction. Their elected officials turn out to be imperfect or incapable of effecting all the change they want, and then you rage and pout and abstain and every scrap forward is LOST.
And it gets worse again.
And then you rally and get angry and make progress again. Frothing at the mouth and boiling with rage that they arenât perfect again, and that progress is lost.
AGAIN.
Iâve been watching it happen since the fucking 90s when I was old enough to notice.
Vote every goddamn time.
Every election state and local.
Turn that rage to volunteering to help people register and arrive to vote.
Do something useful instead of spreading propaganda and causing us to lose any hope of continued progress AGAIN.
And I hear it âbut heâs allowing a genocide!â
Okay, look, youâre not going to like this, but do a little digging and find me a full four years for any US President in which they were not funding a genocide, a government overthrow, or some other form of loss of life, suppression or conflict.
Find me an instance in your lifetime where there was a morally clean candidate you could vote for, that did - by limits of the system we exist within - have any hope of winning.
You will not find one.
The only action with any moral value is to vote. Every time. Every office. Every issue. Ranked Choice Voting exists in some places, we need to make it exist everywhere. Doesnât happen if you pitch a fit and abstain.
Sitting back, and pouting because you donât want to make the very difficult and very morally painful choice of voting because you have only now begun to pay attention, does far more harm than good.
And if you think people deserve to suffer for a system they canât control? Then block me.
Donât at me. Donât try to argue with me. Just leave.
It doesnât work that way. It never has. Iâm sorry you canât take moral high ground in this. There is none. Itâs not how the world functions. I wish it did, honestly, weâd be so much further along.
But it doesnât. You want to let it slide back because of your anger, then everything that goes wrong will be on you. Doing nothing to stop it, when you can, makes you culpable. Sorry, but Carlin was wrong, youâre not separate from the system just because you abstain, that action is your vote, and you are responsible for it.
Now, before you reblog or block me, scroll back up and read that Project 2025. Understand whatâs at stake. Take responsibility for your own decisions.
Gonna need yall to stop putting Biden is Just As Bad propaganda on my dash. Had to unfollow someone because I donât want to a start a fight with them over it, but Iâm about to bite the next person who puts that shit in front of me.
If you donât like Biden, vote in your god damn local and mid term elections for third party or further left candidates so that we get better democratic candidates for future elections. But this one is already fucking decided, and Iâm NOT ending up under a Trump led dictatorship because yall value protecting your personal sense of moral purity over the collective good. Whether it offends your personal morals to vote for Biden is IRRELEVANT in the face of the alternative.
This isnât a lesser of two evils situation. One guy sucks. The other guy is LITERALLY PLANNING TO OVERTHROW OUR DEMOCRACY AND INSTALL HIMSELF AS A PUTIN STYLE DICTATOR.
PLEASE look up Project 2025 and stop acting like abstaining is some kind of personal ethical decision!
#us politics#politics#please vote#vote#Iâm serious about the not @ing me#just move on#I wish I could be nice about this#but itâs a hard lesson#thereâs not a soft way to put it

Remembering the Dead!
"Sloughing Towards Galilee!"
Christians/Catholic Workers Gone Bad!"
Remembering the Dead
All Soulâs Day
November 2, 2024
On this All Soulâs Day, my heart is sorrowful for all those in Gaza, especially the youth that are dying, and the ten or so youth a day having their limbs amputated without amnesia. We think we are different, separated by distance, race, religion, and understanding, where in the memory of Jesus, we are one family, tied together.
We all have the same Spark within us, and the more we move away into our apathy, actions of war, and discrimination, it does not glow brightly.
But Christâs memory calls us to light up and come back to his memory of wholeness. Come back to the family of God!
The same here in our own country! I had a gentleman tell of being beaten up saying he was voting for the Green Party here in San Francisco, his pain, his fear, transparent. Â People ask me how I am going to vote trying to categorize me and see if I am âon the right path,â and I remind each one I have friends of all parties, they differ in what they believe politically, and none agree with me, but we are friends, I am their pastor. The more we categorize and judge one another, the farther we move from the Spark of God within us, that ties us together as brothers and sisters!
Martin Luther King Jr. once said:
"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly
I remember my parents, Zac, Vicki, River, and a thousand kids who have gone on before me, remembering does not mean telling their story over and over again, nor does it mean pictures on the wall; I have one photo of my mother, and none of my father, for my sister has âpunishedâ me for being queer, by not letting me have any; Â it does not even mean constantly thinking about them.
No. It means making their participation in Godâs ongoing work of redemption by allowing them to dispel in me a little more of my darkness and lead me closer to the light, a little more to the Spark of God within me.
Yet by letting them go, I donât lose them. Rather, I found they were closer to me than ever. Through the Holy Spirit, they become a part of my very being.
So on this All Soulâs Day cherish the memories of your loved ones, finding your heart and soul in the One Memory of Jesus! Deo Gratis, Thanks be to God!

âThey used to let you do that?â Claire gasped as she watched a video of Mayaâs grandmother and her family at the beach under the bright sun.
Maya nodded, âitâs just outsideâ
Violetâs eyes widened. âIâd be afraid to try that,â she said.
âWhy?â Maya asked.
Violet didn't have an answer. She just blinked. After roughly ten seconds of hesitating, she sputtered, âBecause what ifâŠâ
Claire tipped her head to one side. âWhat if what?â she asked
Violet slowly managed to form the sentence, âItâsâŠuhâŠthatâs how Ellen got sickâ
Violet was too young to remember anything from before going underground, but back then, the therapist had encouraged her older sister to tackle her anxiety by indulging in every luxurious sensation that comes with a barefoot walk on the beach. Indeed, Ellen got the full sensory experience of the walk on the beach. Fresh air in her lungs, the sunlight on her skin, the sand between her toes, and the piercing pain of a used needle in her toe. Instead of relaxation, a panic attack stampeded the rest of her senses.Â
Ellen only lasted two months before she died. After her passing, the family couldn't help but think that going outside was more dangerous than it was worth. In fact, this incident made Violetâs family one of the first to move to the underground society of the alleged last surviving humans on Earth, better known as The Community.
âMaya, I donât understand your hangup with how great outside isâ Claire said, shaking her head.
Maya paused. She pursed her lips. âIâŠwouldnât call it a hangupâ she said haltingly.Â
"Not having to go outside is great,â Claire gestured emphatically, âFinally the entire planet recognizes that working on a computer does not require you to commute for hours to an office. It is a win-win for businesses and workers. Businesses need less office space, less maintenance, have smaller water and electricity bills etc."
Maya folded her arms. "None of that stops us from going outside," she pointed out.
"I wasn't finished," Claire said, holding up a hand. "Workers have more free time and no one has to burn fuel or waste electricity to travel to switch on a computer."
Maya shook her head. âYou havenât seen the cabin fever thatâs set in, like the guy who spit on me,â she replied, âIt's just surreal down here.âÂ
Maya wasnât wrong about the cabin fever. It's not too rare for you to see some lunatic scream out of the blue. This morning alone, Maya had the pleasure of witnessing a lady screaming her head off saying "they'll never take me alive!" and some guy standing in the central corridor with his fist in the air chanting very loudly in some Native American language. It sounded almost demonic and his eyes never failed to move in their gaze.Â
Regardless, this was not a smart thing to say. The Community is facing a serious resource crisis. In order to survive, The community has to get rid of one person.Â
On the last day of every month, they vote out one person to go up to the unliveable surface and never return. Thanks to Maya suggesting that the surface was still habitable, the people decided that they would vote her out.Â
302 people voted for Mayaâs exile, 302 voted against. It seemed sheâd be safe for a little bit longer, but a woman called Theodora broke the tie. 303 votes for Maya to leave.Â
The guards escorted Maya to the exit. They gave her goggles, an oxygen mask, gloves, and a flannel shirt. The Hope was that the oxygen would run short after a couple of days. Effectively, it was an execution, but with extra steps.Â
Maya ventured to the surface as the door back home closed behind her. Her oxygen ran out, and after taking off the mask, she discovered that outside was fine. The Community had spent all this time freaking out over nothing.Â
She couldn't even figure out what freaked them out so much but they felt they had to form a new society underground. After about a week of living on the surface, Maya came to the conclusion that they were probably just crazy.

Part XI - The Sixth Year (Part One)
Everything is different now.
You can feel it in your bones. You can feel it in the air, in the room, in the way your butler won't leave the radio playing on the kitchen counter because the music has been replaced by news of disappearances all over the magical and non-magical community.
Even now, sitting at the kitchen table while everyone is eating their breakfast beside you, you find it hard to relax. Jarvis doesn't have to turn the radio back on for you to know how things are going on outside the protected gardens of the Stark mansion.
"I've already prepared the fireplace, Mister Tony." Announced Jarvis next, his hands on his back. Your brother murmured, still in the middle of sipping his coffee.
"Thank you, Jarvis." He then spoke, placing the cup on the table. "I'm expecting mail, if Iron comes back with anything, save it for me okay?"
"Of course, Mr. Tony."
"Jarvis?" You called out before your butler returned to the kitchen. He looked gently at you. "Aren't you going to have breakfast with us?"
The man hesitated, straightening his suit vest slightly.
"I've already eaten, miss. But I appreciate the invitation." He says making mention of turning around, you add quickly.
"Where are you going?"
There it is again. The tension you have noticed since you returned from the hospital. Caught in the way Jarvis looks quickly at Tony and your sisters before a smile that doesn't reach his eyes forms. He clears his throat lightly.
"I have my chores, miss." He answers politely. "Nothing you need to worry about."
"Is the order, isn't it?"
As soon as the words escape, silence falls on the table. Gamora stops stirring her tea in mid-motion, but you keep your gaze on Jarvis.
"Miss Stark, please, I mustn't be late." He insists and you sigh, nodding. Jarvis walks away, but the table remains silent. You have your fists clenched in your lap, waiting.
And realizing that just as before, when you began to notice the rushed exits, the whispers, the locked doors, and the hiding spells, you realized that none of your siblings would say anything.
So you rolled your eyes and stood up, throwing your napkin on the table and walking out of the kitchen with hard steps.
Tony called out to you, but you ignored him. Gamora reached you when you were already in your room.
"If you've come to tell me there's nothing going on, you can leave." You let her know sitting up in your bed, your mind working on theories. Gamora sighed lightly.
"I'm not." She says as she moves closer to sit beside you. "But I can't tell you everything either."
"All summer, Gamora." You begin. "All summer you guys have been keeping secrets from me. And damn it, I've done it for a long time, and I understand. But I thought...I thought after last year, things were going to change. Everybody knows about the prophecy, and I'm still dealing with it alone."
"You are not alone." She retorts as she straightens up in bed, turning her body toward you, but you continue to stare at your lap. "You're not. We're just trying to protect you."
You give a short laugh.
"I'm not, really, you're right." You sneer bitterly. "I only have Wanda and she is more than enough."
Gamora sighs, but does not contradict you. You stand up looking for a change of clothes.
"Are you going to her house again?" Gamora asks as she sees you rummaging through the closets. You don't face her to speak.
"I don't get lied to in the Maximoff residence."
Gamora rolls her eyes.
"You've barely stayed home this summer." She complains. "We've missed you."
"Ironic you say that since when I am here you guys are having secret meetings without me." You retorted angrily, putting your pajama set into a backpack.
âY/NâŠâ she starts but doesn't continue. You feel frustrated and impatient, and you roll your eyes at her lack of honesty.
"See you tomorrow." You say before leaving with the backpack.
You went straight to the living room, and ignoring the questioning look from Tony and Nebula at the kitchen table, you made your way to the fireplace.
Before you used the floo powder, Tony was calling you.
"You know you still leave here, right?" He quipped, and you resisted the urge to start a fight.
You stumbled into the fireplace, the magic dust in your hands. Within seconds, you were in the living room of Maximoff Residence.
"Wanda, your girlfriend is here!" Pietro yelled as he turned his attention to the pages."Again." He muttered softly making you giggle as you walked out of their fireplace.
You stepped closer only to shove the magazine he was holding to his face in a childish act and ignore his irritated grunt as you kicked off your shoes, knowing Erik hated getting his carpet dirty.
You had gotten quite comfortable at Maximoff Residence this summer. After St.Mungus, you and Wanda have been spending a lot of time together.
Part of you knows it's because you've been kept out of order, and it's created a nervous tension between you and your siblings, Wanda's house being the only place where no one seems to keep things from you.
Your thoughts were interrupted by your girlfriend's sudden presence in the room, and you had two seconds to smile at her before Wanda steps forward from the hallway towards you, her arms around your neck in a tight hug. You felt your face heat up, but soon she was pulling away to place several kisses on your cheeks, making you giggle shyly as Pietro mimicked vomiting noises.
"My god, it's ten in the morning." He complained while getting up, but you ignored it, your hands rubbing Wanda's back as you looked at her adoringly.
"Good morning my love." You greeted her.
"Good morning sweetheart" She replied, looking at you the same way. "To what do I owe this wonderful visit?"
"I missed you."
"I missed y..."
"This is too gay for ten in the morning." Pietro complained loudly again, now walking past you into the hallway and turning into the kitchen as you and Wanda giggled.
â"Have you had breakfast yet?" She asked, bringing her hands to your cheeks, caressing your skin.
You mumbled yes, omitting the part that your meal was interrupted by a little argument to steal a peck from Wanda, who bit her lip when you moved away.
She turned her head to look down the hall for a second and then moved forward, kissing you firmly this time. You smiled against her lips, melting as her hand gently scratched the back of your neck.
She pulled back a moment later, cheeks flushed and eyes bright.
"Come say good morning to my dad before he comes to get you himself." She asked as she pulled away, her hand intertwining with yours to pull you towards the kitchen.
As soon as Erik saw you, he put the paper down on the table and smiled, waving for you to sit down, and you did it shyly, Wanda following you.
"It's good to see you, Miss Stark." He says. "Hope everything is alright at home?"
"Probably not since she's always here now." Pietro scoffs before you respond and lets out an exclamation of pain when Wanda hits him in the head with a small wave of energy. Erik shoots her a disapproving look but says nothing.
You get caught up in small talk while you eat together, and you're more aware of Wanda's presence than anything else, but Erik calls to you.
"Will you join us in the diagonal alley?" he asks curiously and you bite the inside of your cheek, uncertain.
"Actually, Tony asked me not to go out in public." You say. "Because of everything that's going on."
"Oh yes I understand." Erik says thoughtfully. "I was in the alley last week, and most of the stores are closed. People are scared, and crime increased considerably with the return of the walkers."
The mood at the table changes, but you feel your body relax with Wanda's hand on your knee.
"What has the order done about it, sir?" You ask and Erik frowns slightly in surprise.
"Forgive me Miss Stark, I assumed your brother was telling you about the delicate situation the order is in, so I didn't mention anything." He says and straightens his posture in the chair. "We believe there is a traitor among us."
You look at him in surprise, as do his children. Erik takes a deep breath.
"Of course any of you shouldn't worry about that." He says. "That's a matter for the members."
"Fury recruited my brother, sir?" You question and Erik hesitates, then nods. You feel your stomach sink. Tony didn't tell you about it. "And my sisters?"
"No. Not them." He quickly denies it. "We voted to add new members, and it needs to be a unanimous decision. I don't approve of adding children to order."
"But you approve Tony?" You accuse with a frown.
"Your brother is of legal age, Miss Stark." He argues. "He is a powerful, resourceful, and talented wizard. He has the right to fight if he wishes."
"He's only two years older than me." You retort. "I don't want him to be in danger."
"He insisted." Erik tells you. "He insisted because he wants to protect you. I had my doubts about that, due to his age, but he asked for my vote. He wants to help."
You swallow the urge to cry, absorbing the teacher's words.
"Jarvis too, right?" You ask and Erik takes a sip of coffee before answering.
"I must not share the order's membership list." He comments lightly jokingly, but you grimace. Erik sighs. "We are trying to keep it as a secret as much information as possible. The situation is too tense with the ministry, and with so many attacks, we are not knowing who to trust."
"You haven't said anything about this all summer, papa." Pietro comments thoughtfully. "Why now?"
Erik swallows hard, putting the mug down on the table.
"Because Wanda is going to Hogwarts next week, and I won't be there to keep her safe."
You can feel Wanda's surprise and anxiety mix with yours, and your hand rests in hers on your knee.
"What are you talking about?" Wanda questions and Erik takes a deep breath.
"I will not be returning to the castle this year." He says. "The ministry ordered my removal."
"What?" The three of you exclaimed together and Erik gestured lightly for you to calm down.
"There are many rumors about the Ministry of Magic's involvement in the rise of Mephisto. The facilities that were granted to the walkers, in addition to the encouragement of the propaganda of purity of blood." He counts. "What happened at the ministry, with you two, created quite a problem for the minister. He can't blame Harkness because she disappeared, but it was only a matter of time before he found out that I was the one who recommended the special classes with her."
"But you were helping us!" You exclaimed indignantly. "And you're on the side of order!"
"Exactly, Miss Stark." He says. "I'm afraid the minister's interest is just that. To remove all members of the order from the castle."
"Papa, what will happen to you?" Pietro asks worriedly, but Erik smiles, giving him a reassuring look.
"Do not worry." He says. "They'll do an investigation, and the minister will prolong my removal as long as he can. In the meantime I'll help the order. Our priority is to finish off Mephisto's brute strength before he regains all his followers."
"What will happen at the castle this year?" Pietro questions worriedly, and you and Wanda share his expression. Erik taps his fingers on the table lightly.
"I have my suspicions, but all the possibilities are bad." He declares. "But Wanda will have professor Stephen and Maria there. Don't hesitate to reach out for them."
"That's not very comforting." Pietro mutters and Erik flashes his son a sad smile.
"But I guarantee that whatever happens at Hogwarts, it will be better than the outside." He says. "None of you have experienced a wizarding war before.Believe me when I say that the backyards of the school are safer, no matter how awful they seem to be."
Pietro sighs.
"I am worried, Papa." He says. "Wanda will be there alone."
You frown. "Hey!"
Pietro gives a short smile. "You know what I meant." He clarifies. "I won't be there, and neither will you. I don't understand why she can't stay home."
"Because it's more dangerous here." He comments. "The only reason you're not coming back to the castle is because of your small act last year, Pietro."
Pietro looks away, grimacing at Erik's disapproving tone. All the times you've been here, the topic of Pietro dropping out of school always made Erik grumpy and created a nervous tension between him and his son.
Erik clears his throat.
"Since you have decided that you will not become a competent wizard, I expect you to help me during this period." Erik declares causing you and Wanda to exchange a look, uncertain about getting into the conversation. Pietro rolls his eyes. "I'm sure your Aunt Raven has some task to keep you busy."
"Of course, papa." Pietro mumbles wryly, laying his face in his arms on the table.
Erik sighs before turning his gaze back to Wanda and you.
"We may be at war now, but your education is still important, my dear." He says. "I wanted to make sure you got your N.E.W.T. We're going to need good witches for when this is all over."
Wanda smiled shyly, and you fell silent again. Your head was a mess, millions of possibilities about the next year flashing by and noticing your nervousness, Wanda excused herself to the table, and led you by the hand out of the kitchen.
She smiled at you in the hallway, but only stopped walking when you two reached her room.
"You're nervous." She commented as she gently pushed you onto her bed.
You sat down, and Wanda settled into your lap, your hands automatically going to her waist as she hugged you. You sank your face into her neck, breathing in her perfume deeply and feeling your whole body relax at once, becoming slightly dizzy with how comfortable you felt.
"I love you." You whispered against her skin, and Wanda pressed you tighter against her, making you fall back against the mattress with a giggle. With her lack of response, you began to caress her back, feeling her breath against your neck.
When she pulled away, she got off you, throwing herself on the bed next while biting back a smile.
"What?" you asked, curious by her expression. She shook her head slightly, her cheeks flushed.
"I just think I have never felt as happy as I do when I am with you."
You smile at the confession, feeling your heart race as you turn your body toward her, resting your face in your hand and your elbow on the bed.
Your fingers come up to her face, brushing her hair out of her eyes to place behind her ear, as she looks at you adoringly.
"What am I going to do without you next year, huh?" you ask, causing her to giggle a little, as she reached up to rest her hand on your waist.
"Do you think we'll be able to talk through thoughts by then?" She jokes putting on a mock expression, making you laugh.
"I wish I had that now, so you could help me with my exams." You retort in the same tone, making Wanda laugh.
"I can help you with some actual studying for your exams." She suggests and you raise an eyebrow.
"Oh, yes, because study sessions work out very well for us, don't they, Miss wandering hands?" You tease and Wanda smiles mischievously bringing your faces closer together.
"It's not my fault you're irresistible." She whispers before kissing your lips softly. You both sigh, but just as you go to deepen the kiss, Pietro is entering the room and Wanda lets out a grumble as she pulls away and sits on the bed.
âCan I help you Pietro?â Wanda asks impatiently.
"Can you let go of your girlfriend for a second to talk to your brother?" He teases causing Wanda to roll her eyes, but you giggle, settling comfortably on the bed. "I need to tell you both something."
"Then stop the suspense and just tell us." You grumble, wishing you would go back to kissing Wanda.
Pietro checks the hallway, then closes the bedroom door. You and Wanda frown.
"I think there's something important going on in the order." He declares. "But I have no idea what it is."
"That's not very reassuring." Wanda mocks making you laugh and Pietro grimaces. " What gave you this idea anyway?"
"Dad's been getting owls." He counters. "You haven't noticed anything strange because you're making out all the time."
"Jealous." Wanda teases, making you laugh, but Pietro rolls his eyes sighing impatiently.
"Yeah, yeah, you guys are cute and all, but you don't seem to be noticing the rest of the world." He complains, crossing his arms. "We have a war going on and all you girls are doing is kissing each other."
Wanda sighs, getting up.
"And we'd like to get back to that, so you can leave." She complained pushing her brother by the shoulders, while you laughed at the indignant expression he made while complaining that that was an important matter.
Wanda ushered him out, and locked the door, turning to you with a mischievous grin.
"Where were we?" She asked as she approached, and all you did was open your arms for her to jump into your lap again.
You knew that this was indeed an important matter, but you couldn't focus on much else as you had Wanda on your lap kissing your mouth eagerly, her tongue sliding into yours as her hands squeezed your shoulders gently.
You kissed so many times that summer, but it seemed to get better, and more and more addictive. You had no idea if it was because you were connected to her, or if it was because you were in love, but either way, you didn't want to stop.
But then the door was opening again, and Wanda let out a grumble as she jumped away from your lap, trying to disguise her smudged lipstick and swollen lips.
"Girls, you know the rules." Erik warned with a serious tone. "The door must always stay open."
"Yes, sir." You and Wanda muttered breathlessly, and Erik rolled his eyes before leaving. When his footsteps became distant, you and Wanda began to giggle, and you fell beside her on the bed, both of you trying to normalize your breathing and disguise how affected you were by the little make-out session.
In the silence, Wanda intertwined your hands together, but you both continued to stare at the ceiling.
"Do...do you think Pietro might be right?" Wanda asked next, her voice low. You shifted your gaze to her, waiting for her to clarify. Wanda swallowed dryly before doing so. "About this. About us not paying attention to the war or anything else. I just...I'm afraid he's right."
You straightened to turn your body toward her properly, resting your head on the hand of the arm that you popped your elbow on the mattress. Wanda copied your movement, and you smiled at her as you moved your fingers up to caress her face.
"I think it's unfair for Pietro to say that." You say. "Every time I've tried to bring up order, war, or anything related to that, I've been called a child. So I think it's unfair that just because I'm focusing on the most important part of my life I get called out for it."
Wanda's eyes widened slightly, her cheeks flushed.
"You think I'm the most important part of your life?" She asked shyly, making you smile.
"Of course you are, Wanda." You reply as if it were obvious, squeezing her reddened cheek and making her laugh. "My little grumpy witch."
Wanda rolls her eyes, grabbing a fistful of your shirt to pull you close, and give you a lingering kiss. You smile against her lips, and when she pulls away she keeps her forehead pressed against yours.
"I love you." She whispers with her eyes closed. "I love you so much I think I'm going to suffocate."
You sigh, feeling her emotions. She feels love, vibrant, pulsing. You think you might cry if you don't keep your eyes closed.
"I know." You whisper back. "It's like you can't put all the love out, no matter how hard you try."
"Does that scare you?" Wanda asks, her hand coming down on your waist. "Us? How intense it feels?"
You let out a short laugh.
"Scare me?" You retort. "It's the only thing that secures me."
Wanda sighs, pulling away to look at you. You smile, your hand on her cheek, caressing her skin with your thumb.
"You, Wanda Maximoff, are the only certain I hold on to." You confess. "You are the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. My love for you is the only thing I am sure I never want to lose."
Wanda's eyes are watery, but you know they are tears of happiness. You can feel it too. And you don't need her to say it back to you to know either.
"I can't lose you." She whispers as she lets the tears flow. "I won't survive."
"I'm not going anywhere, Wanda." You assure by looking into her eyes, but she swallows dryly, unable to hold back her tears. You feel her despair, you want to get these feelings out of her, but you don't know how. You hold her tightly, and Wanda lies against you.
When she opens her mind to you, you understand. She still thinks of you in the dungeons of the castle. She shares her insecurities, and her traumas. You take it all in, and the grip tightens. You also begin to cry when she stops sharing.
"I'm sorry." You tell her, and repeat it a few times until she stops crying. When she does, you're both exhausted, and she just pulls away to straighten up, her face buried in your neck, inhaling your perfume.
"Stay with me." She asks against your skin, and you smile with your eyes closed.
"I will." You whisper against her ear. "I will stay forever."
//-//-//-//-//
Hogwarts feels different.
Although the trip to the castle was the same as other years, there is a different tension in the air.
The train was also considerably emptier.
Not that you noticed it so much, Wanda's presence being your complete focus. Your sisters' teasing about it making you ignore your surroundings even more just to look at Wanda.
And when you all arrived at the castle, everything seemed even worse than last year.
"Are those dementors?" Gamora asks in surprise as you all are walking down toward the carriages. You notice the buzzing around the train, the other students also noticing the creatures flying over the castle in the distance.
Wanda's hand intertwined in yours is the only thing keeping you calm.
Before you can show any reaction, Drax, the fighter guard is shouting for everyone to hurry, that it was not safe to stay outside, and you were pushed along with the crowd inside the vehicles.
"What the hell is going on with this place?" Nebula asks as the carriage starts to move.
"I don't know, but having Dementors back in the castle is definitely not a good sign." Wanda comments looking out the window.
The silence of the drive to the castle is filled with speculation about the changes at the beginning of the year, and none of you are excited for Professor Kaecilius' continuing direction. Nobody seems happy with the absence of Professor Erik on the faculty either.
You don't miss the opportunity to tease Gamora about her boyfriend not coming back to Hogwarts this year, but it backfires when she scoffs that not everyone needs to be together all the time like you and Wanda to date.
When you finally arrived, there were aurors in almost every corridor of the castle now, but they were shabby-looking wizards you had never seen before, and no sign of Carol Danvers.
As soon as you made mention of joining the Slytherin table, one of them put his hand in your way.
"Each student must join their house at the opening ceremony." Said the wizard seriously, and you frowned.
"That's ridiculous." You retorted impatiently, taking a step forward. The wizard drew his wand and you widened your eyes in surprise, automatically covering Wanda with your body.
"I won't say it again." Warned the man, and you were ready to duel, but Professor Strange seemed to have emerged from the floor, and touched your shoulder quickly.
"Miss Stark, please, let's all calm down." He ordered, and you grimaced in indignation. The small scene was already attracting the attention of the students who were entering the hall.
"Tell the student to go to her assigned table or she will be punished, professor." Warned the auror and you clenched your jaw, taking a step forward, but Wanda squeezed your hand pulling you back.
"Please, everyone in your seats right now." Strange said. "Let's not start the year with a fuss, okay?"
You ignored Stephen to look at Wanda, who let go of your hand to gently smooth your cloak, moving closer to kiss your cheek, and whisper in your ear "I love you." before turning away, smiling shyly as she turned to the Slytherin table and left.
You sighed, exchanging an angry look with the auror before walking over to the Hufflepuff table, Mantis behind you.
The year's announcements were even more absurd.
"[...] As many of you may have known this summer, as per the announcements of the Daily Prophet, I will be taking over as headmaster of Hogwarts." Announced Professor Kaecilius with a polite smile that made you roll your eyes. Your attention immediately returned to the Slytherin table, and you already found Wanda looking at you.
When your gazes meet, she blushes, quickly turning away, and making you smile.
"Hey, that sounds important." Mantis commented beside you, noticing that you were distracted, exchanging glances with Wanda across the hall.
You mumbled, pretending to pay attention to the director.
"It is clear that this will be a difficult year for us, and typically adverse until the Ministry of Magic faces the dangers beyond this castle." Kaecilius commented and you frowned, finally paying attention to the speech. "It is to prioritize the safety of the students, I have been in contact with the minister of magic himself, and new conceptions have been allowed this year to properly prepare the students for the dangers of the wizarding world."
The hall shared some buzz, but the professor just cleared his throat, continuing to speak.
"This year we will be accompanied not only by the guards of Azkaban, but also by a team of special aurors, sent by the minister himself to ensure the integrity of the castle and the safety of our students. " Kaecilius said, motioning in the center of the hall. "In addition, a change was necessary in the curriculum of this school, due to the disfavor the old direction caused in the education of all of you."
"That doesn't sound good." Mantis whispered beside you.
"I'm sure it isn't." You whispered back, looking at the principal.
"The importance of teaching without ideological barriers has been reassessed, and the minister has decided that freedom is a crucial point in the education of our society." Kaecilius announced, holding out his arms. "Classifications like right, or wrong, are... backwardness. We, as a free society, need to evolve. And we are going to start that here. With our young people."
You're not sure if it was an auror or one of the teachers who applauded first, but soon the hall followed, more out of cordiality than anything else. You did not, nor did Mantis, or any of your friends, and neither did some of the other students.
When dinner was served, you felt too concerned to feed yourself, but Mantis poked you in the ribs.
"What do you think all that speech meant?" She asks and you stir your steak with your fork, sighing before answering.
"Don't you think it's obvious?" You ask rhetorically. "They're going to teach dark magic."
Mantis's eyes widen in surprise, but you feel tired. You want to go back to where Wanda is.
But then Peter Parker is speaking.
"Did you hear what some of the Gryffindors are saying about Minister Schmidt's aurors?" he asked and you and Mantis both deny with your heads. He leaned in, lowering his voice. "They are called the Red Skulls. They were a task force in the first war. And they weren't on the right side."
You become apprehensive at the information. It's as if Hogwarts is being controlled by the wrong people now. You really have no appetite after that. So all you do during dinner is listen to the parallel conversations between your housemates and your friend.
You wished Harley had come back to Hogwarts this year, but she wrote to you over the summer saying that just like Ivy, she would study magic from home now. You missed her lightness when you had to listen to Peter's nervous comments.
As dinner ended, you hoped to join Wanda, but the aurors controlled the lines back to the dormitories, wands in hand.
You clenched your jaw, feeling frustrated and angry as soon as you made mention of leaving the line and the same auror from earlier appeared.
"Let's not do that again, Stark girl." He warned and you held your wand in your robes, staring at him angrily.
"A word, Stark?" Professor Strange interrupted again, appearing beside the auror. He touched the wizard on the shoulder. "Please, Mr. Klaue, I will escort Miss Stark back to the Hufflepuff dormitory when we're done."
The minor wizard stared back at you before turning his attention back to the line and Stephen gestured with his head for you to accompany him out of the hall.
You walked to the corner of the entrance, and Stephen leaned slightly toward you.
"How are things, Stark? Did you have a good summer?" He asked, making you frown.
"The best." You replied dryly. " Everything was awesome until I came back and some jerk kept me from seeing my girlfriend."
Stephen sighed lightly, looking at the rest of the rows that were moving away, the hall quickly becoming empty.
"I'm sorry about that. I wish things were different, but they won't be for long." He says, practically whispering. You cross your arms, annoyed at the way the aurors in the distance are clearly watching you and Stephen talk.
"What the hell is going on in this place anyway, professor?" You ask irritated.
"The same thing that's going on outside." He replies. "Miss Stark, I won't have as many opportunities to talk to you this year. So I'll say it now. Be careful. Not like the years before, going out at night and sneaking out of the castle. No. Hogwarts will not be the same this year. You, as well as your friends, must be careful."
You frowned, but softened your expression as you noticed the pure concern on Strange's face. But before you could say anything, he was looking away and there was an auror beside you.
"Students should return to their dormitories after dinner." The man announced, already grabbing your arm and making you let out a mixed exclamation of surprise and anger.
"There's no need for that." The professor immediately interfered, releasing the man's grip, who took a step forward.
"I would be careful with secrets, Mr. Strange." Warned the wizard. "You don't want to be tried for treason, like that mudblood, do you?"
Strange clenched his jaw, and you think you've never seen him so angry.
"Do not threaten me, Mr Stane." Stephen retorted, and you swallowed dryly as you saw the wizard grab his wand on his belt, but he didn't draw it. The wizard just laughed wryly and made a noise with his mouth, like a whistle, to get you to walk.
You exchanged a look with the professor before doing so, hurrying to keep up with the end of the Hufflepuff line.
//-//-//-//-//
You were too worried to sleep.
And nothing had happened, but just the fact that you knew things were different made you uncomfortable and worried about Wanda's safety.
You had your cloak, and ignoring Strange's instructions, you waited for everyone to be asleep before leaving the dorm, completely invisible in the dark.
Aurors were making rounds through the halls, much more than before. And there were many more wizards, and you didn't know where they seemed to come from.
You thought it best to put a spell on your shoes so they wouldn't make noise, and so you passed through the corridors quietly.
At the portrait door your troubles began.
"Hey buddy, let me in." You warned the painting, which grumbled as it was woken up, squinting and then assuming a stern posture.
"Get out of here, blood traitor!" Retorted the painting causing you to frown.
"Say that again and I will rip you apart!" You angrily warned, but the painting gave a mean little laugh and then began to shout.
"Student out of bed, student out of bed!" His high-pitched voice echoed in the halls, and you hurried to cover your head with your cloak again, feeling your heart race when you heard footsteps approaching through the halls.
You started to run, and only stopped when you were far enough away.
And then you realized where you were again.
You remember the path from your nightmares.
Swallowing hard, you take a step back, but you bump into the wall.
It is the entrance to the dungeon where Agatha took you.
Nothing looks different, you wonder if the ministry even went in there.
You feel your stomach turn, and your heart is racing even more. The memories of what happened come back all at once, but you close your eyes, taking a deep breath and pushing them away.
You are safe.
And you walk away from that corridor quickly, feeling suffocated.
And then you bump into someone, trip over the cloak, and fall to the floor.
"Interesting choice of destination, Miss Stark." Professor Kaecilius comments as you swallow dryly, looking at him while you are still on the floor. He keeps his hands in his pockets."I was hoping for a more mature attitude in your sixth year, but clearly that was a mistaken expectation."
"Sorry, professor, but I'm still sleepwalking." You retort getting up, and are surprised that he gives you a wry smile. You feel nervous then, because he is now so comfortable at Hogwarts that he feels free to laugh at your jokes.
"I should have predicted that you would come back to this place." He then says, looking toward the room for a moment before returning his gaze to you. "If you had asked permission, perhaps I would have conceived."
You clench your jaw, not knowing exactly how to escape this confusion. Professor Kaecilius assumes a stern expression next.
"I don't care for the unruly way that Agatha conducted this school, but I assure you that it will not be the same manner in which I will conduct it." He says and with a flick of his right hand, the fallen invisibility cloak closes and jumps on his arm. You swallow dryly, but say nothing. "Adjusting to the new curriculum will take up most of your routine during this week, but you must learn to value the rules. Your detentions will take place on Saturdays for the next three months."
"Three months?" You exclaim in shock, and Kaecilius sighs.
"Perhaps four would be more appropriate, you have a bad track record."
You bite your tongue, holding back from cursing your teacher.
" Follow me to your dormitory, Miss Stark." Says the professor next, already starting to walk. "We don't want any more incidents, do we?"
The path is silent, but there is a nervous tension.
At the door, Professor Kaecilius turns to you.
"I would sleep now, if I were you, Miss Stark." He warns. "It takes discipline to become a competent witch, and sleep will not be an acceptable excuse for failing your classes."
You frown, but the professor waves, and you walk into the dormitory, the doorframe closing behind you.
Just as you reach your room, Mantis is opening the curtains on her bed.
"Where the hell have you been?" She asks worriedly as you take off your shoes to lie down.
"Wanda." You grumble before throwing yourself onto the mattress, sinking your face into the pillow. Seeing your dissatisfaction, Mantis sits up in your bed, poking you lightly in the ribs.
"What happened?" she asks and you sigh in frustration. When you tell her what happened, she has a mixed expression of concern and annoyance.
"I'm sorry about the cloak." She says. "And well, about the detention too."
"It's okay." You mumble. "I just wanted to see my girlfriend."
"I'm sure she's fine." Mantis says, and seeing your grimace she giggles. "Can't you feel these things? If you're not sensing anything, she's asleep, right?"
You sigh, nodding. Mantis is right. You just miss her, but other than that, you don't have any chills or anything. Wanda is safe.
"Thank you, Mantis." You say shyly, playing with the threads of the pillow. "Sometimes, I don't remember that, and I worry for nothing."
"It's okay." She says. "That's how it is when you love someone."
You smile and Mantis gives you a wink before getting up, and returning to her own bed.
"Now, let's go to sleep please, I'm thinking we're in for a busy week." She comments and you murmur in agreement.
You are afraid that " busy" is not the best adjective to define it.

Kentucky Rep for McCarthy, brought up fentanyl and inflation blahblah. Saying that Dems have had no oversight. As always the Republicans act like they care about money. Border shit, fentanyl. OH he's bringing up Covid deaths OH NO SIR YOU DID NOT JUST BLAME A LAB IN CHINA. Why... like... sure, check things over, but why are you trying to check over HELPING PPL w the covid fund and not ACTUAL CRIMES FIRST (We know why). He keeps going back to China. Like dude. Conspiracy theory much? AH GOOD AND threatening to open investigations on Biden, cool cool cool. Can you be done soon sir? We can't do all the fun attacking the Dems till WE get organized and vote our loser in!!!! C'MON, FAR RIGHTS! Lets have fun villianizing people getting help in a pandemic!!!!! EUGHGHG they're giving him a standing ovation. And saying they'll drag the Dems kicking and screaming every step of the way.
SIR WHY ARE YOU YELLINGGGGGGG
yay he's fucking done
Texas Rep for Jeffries. Ahahaha she's bringing up that they're on day four. We're steady and strong in voting for him full time. HAHAHAHA she's bringing up the fact that the Far Rights says this wasn't disfunction. But pointing out that the republicans had MONTHS since the November elections to figure out who they wanted to lead and get behind them. She's bringing up Jan 6, and talking about her lived experience. OHHH and saying that their inability to govern would have made that day an actual disaster.
Man I do not know how you'd keep going back to work knowing you had coworkers that helped and encouraged the attack on you. I'd have panic attacks
She's slamming them saying there aren't any important debates happening just this one. loll that they want to fight inflation but are only fighting each other. LOLLL saying that this is just gonna keep happening under Republican control. (IE if they send up bills and or the debt ceiling and how if they fight each other for too long they'd let things fall into shutdowns and chaos).
I understand and love the Dems trying to sway ppl but with it being so pointless it's painful
OH COOL! She said it was a great honor in spanish before nominating Jeffries, GO OFF QUEEN
okay far rights, you gonna stick to your guns?
OH SHIT NONE CAME UP
VOTING ROUND 13 IS GOOOOO
So as the house gets warmed up to go let me give a few updates I found out!
Voting Present LOWERS the number necessary to win, so it SHOULD be 219 with the full house but because Spartz votes Present it's 218
ARGUABLY if more Republicans vote Present but the 20 stick to their guns, the Democrats COULD win with 212 but Republicans don't want that
Buck who left for a non emergency medical procedure yesterday may not be back
We're starting up with only 275 reps present cause it's more than half but YIKES. Though I would assume more are showing up
a Californian Republican just got up to nominate McCarthy just to see how fast he loses. He's saying it's NOT ABOUT McCARTHY. FRIENDO YEAH IT IS. Lolll he's talking about serving the country with "Pure and Selfless intent~" and like idfk if any human can do taht.
ughghg the Republicans also keep bringing up fentinol overdoses and immigration and how it's going UnChEcKeD while we vote.
oh interesting, he thanked the national police (happily everyone got up and clapped for them) to pretend like Republicans care AT ALL about them.
... Sir why we talking about China, I don't think this is gonna move anybody you wanna move???
Jesus, he's trying to scare ppl into voting together cause the world is in DANGERRRR but like, THESE ARE THE PPL THAT REFUSED TO WEAR A MASK CAUSE IT MADE THEM UNCOMFY while people DIED. So loll ur talking for nothing sir. Hahahaha he's like, I agree w you shits but I WOrk w OtHeRsss and that's how you gotta WoRk!!! lolll
Oh here we go, telling the Dems they're on the EDGE of a VERY IMPORTANT VICTORY. Loll sure you lil dipshit. OH OH RUDE he just said, looking to the Dems I realize i haven't met many of you cause you're not here, voting by proxy. WOW, rumbles in the crowd and then the Clerk had to bang the gavel and be like HEY, UR SUPPOSED TO DIRECT COMMENTS TO THE BENCH.
Ur useless dude, this is too long of a speech. And stupidly blaming all of it on the Dems
South Carolina Rep is up for the Democrats
Awww he thanked the Clerk who's been running this circus and all the Dems rose and the Clerk smiled and mouthed thank you.
He's talking about learning lessons and working to be a better govt but flowery-er. Ah okay he's bringing up Jan 6. Resiliency. USA was made for liberty, justice, and freedom. Pointing out that it's the first time in over 100 years that they can't figure out who to vote for. The goodness of the american people is at stake??? Jeffries is a good dude i guess lol.
Oh lord almighty Gaetz is up and saying HE TAKES EXCEPTION TO THE CALIFORNIA REPS STATEMENTSSS. LOLL oh shit and he's saying that McCarthy is only speaker if he GETS THE VOTES and he DON'T HAVE THE VOTES. And he's saying it's vanity making McCarthy keep going. LOLL AND I THINK THE DEMS CLAPPED FOR THAT. hahaha ppl are yelling at him and order had to be called. HAHAH Gaetz just called him LaBron James but that would mean that McCarthy was a WINNER AT SOME POINT.
Oh dude don't fucking bring up PURITY you lily white fuck. Damn he's just calling out his own party. He's saying their intentions when trying to negotiate w him weren't PUUUREEE. Again humans, nothings gonna be pure my dude.
Mr SQUINTS IS BACK!!!
Bottom line, they don't trust McCarthy, saying it's for the ppl
WOAH WAIT HE JUST NOMINATED JIM JORDAN AGAIN, NO
Boebert is up to nominate Hern. She keeps pointing out that he was unanimously voted as chairman for something and that he's gonna be united. Blahblahblah inflation, republican talking points. Oh yay quickly ended
OH SHIT AND WE'RE VOTING ROUND 12!!!

A Pure Soul: Nearly Taken (Yandere!Wanda Maximoff x ADD!autistic!reader)
*Not my GIF.
Summary: The day (y/n) comes back to the compound after being told all those nasty things takes a toll on their mental health and self-esteem. Unfortunately it gets to a point that Wanda hoped it would NEVER reach.
Request?: Still none.
Word Count: 3,456
Warnings: Ableism, eugenics mention, r-word slur, attempted suicide, attempted overdose, hurt and comfort.
Notes: This is a sort of âin-between sceneâ from âA Pure Soul.â The rate of suicide is 3 times higher in autistic people because of the worldâs lack of understanding and willingness to accommodate us. Plus being told the world would be better off without you, along with people looking for ways to make sure weâre not born....thatâs gonna take a toll. So it makes sense for these feelings to emerge.
=============================================
You know that the world isnât very kind to the disabled.
You know that the world wishes people like you wouldnât exist.
But that doesnât make what happened hurt any less.
You were out shopping when you ran into your best friend from high school. Except....this friend wasnât the same as you knew them. No, instead they showed you their true colors.
âOh hey, (y/n),â they said.
Tone has never been your specialty.
âHey!â you exclaimed happily as you were looking through the books at your local bookstore. âItâs been so long since Iâve seen you! How are you?â
âBetter. Howâs the treatment coming along?â
This confused you.
âTreatment?â
They nodded.
âFor that disease you call autism.â
This struck a chord, and it struck HARD. How could they say something like that?!
âD-disease?!â
They smirked.
âI mean, it just makes us humans lives harder to be around your kind.â
What?!
âWhat the hellâs gotten into you?!â you exclaimed. âI thought you were my best friend!â
âOh?â
They pretended to wrack their brain.
âOh! Yeah, I was such a great actor in that part. I should get an Oscar. Hereâs the tea; I lost a bet and had to be your best friend for those four hellish years. I canât believe they wanted me to suffer that much.â
Your heart began to crack. It was all....an act?
âYou took my high school years away from me, made me miserable. I couldâve won prom royalty, but no one voted for me because I associated myself with your species. Iâm glad youâre out of my life now. Youâre nothing but a burden and the world would be so much better off without you. Why not do us that favor?â
Your heart shattered. You were so plagued with shock that you didnât notice them push you to the ground and spit on you before walking away with a satisfied chuckle. For the next few minutes, you couldnât say or do anything. You were just frozen to the spot, their words bouncing around your head.
Finally you were able to feel both the physical and emotional pain. Pursing your lips, you got up, kept your head down, and quickly left the bookstore, trying not to let the tears fall.
===============================================
In the elevator, heading up to your floor, you can barely form a new thought. All you can think of is that hurtful interaction.Â
Burden, your kind, your species, disease....
It all hurt.Â
And the worst part is that you canât help but think that theyâre right.
But your thoughts are jolted by the elevator bell. As usual you find the Avengers hanging out in the lounge. Nat and Clint are chatting with Wanda. Tony and Peter are working on homework. You can barely see what the others are doing.Â
Almost instantly, Wandaâs eye falls on you. She has a smile on her face, but it falls when she sees you, as she instantly knows that something is wrong.Â
â(Y/N)!â she whispers worried.
She rushes over and gives you a gentle hug, but you practically squeeze the life out of her. The other Avengers also come to your aid.Â
âWhat happened?â Wanda asks you.
You gulp as she and Nat lead you to the couch.
âI....â you begin as you sit down. âI was out shopping....and I ran into my best friend from high school....â
You tell them the entire interaction. Shocked looks are nearly all around by the end.
âThatâs seriously messed up,â Nat says in a mix of disgust and anger.
The others nod in agreement, except for Wanda. Instead she begins to tear up.Â
âMy sweet angel,â she weeps softly as she hugs you closer and pets your head. âOh, my sweet, sweet angel. None of what they said is true, not one bit of it. Youâre an absolute joy to have around and youâre one of the kindest souls Iâve ever met. You bring so much to the Avengers and to our lives. Autism is not a disease. Itâs a part of who you are, and I wouldnât change it for the world.â
âWandaâs right,â Peter nods. âYouâre wonderful, (y/n). Youâre one of the best friends I could ever ask for.â
âAnd you bring a lot of new perspectives,â Nat adds. âYou came into our lives when we needed you the most, especially Wanda.â
They all take turns giving you words of comfort and encouragement as well as letting you cry. Wanda stays the closest to you, to no oneâs surprise, hugging you tightly. Her embrace is exactly what you need right now; so warm and loving.Â
Tony, though not the most emotional person, does feel sympathetic and even angered at the person who said that to you; even though youâre on the opposite side of the Accords, he decides to get your favorite food for dinner. Itâs not the greatest gesture of sympathy, but itâs definitely something. After that, you take a nice, warm shower and get into some fresh, soft pajamas. Wandaâs waiting for you in your bedroom, and surprises you with some soft socks that match your pajamas.
âI removed the fabric tags too,â she tells you.
Your heart melts a bit more for her. How someone as kind, attentive, and loving as her could ever be considered a terrible person is beyond you. You let her put them on your feet and they feel amazing. You wriggle your toes in them, smiling.Â
âYou like them?â she asks you.
âI love them,â you giggle before turning to Wanda. âAnd I love you.â
She smiles and gives you a kiss on the forehead.
âI love you too, my angel.â
The two of you spend the rest of the night together, cuddling up close with one another, watching sitcoms, singing quietly. You doze off in her arms.....
But that doesnât mean itâs over.....
==============================================
Youâre not someone who easily forgets how things make you feel, and what that person said still makes you feel like shit. Now whenever you go out, youâre worried that youâre going to run into them. You keep your guard up and walk as quickly as you can. Every outing feels like a fight for survival, but you try to stay strong so that you donât bother the others. You try to keep a smile on your face. You need to be strong.....
.....But even the strong reach their limits.
Itâs a little after you found out they became catatonic. Youâre at a coffee shop, nearly empty, when someone else walks in. Itâs a friend of that person. You keep your head low as they place their order; four cups of black coffee, extra hot. Your anxiety is increasing, but you donât want this person to think youâre weak. You keep your back to them, hearing the door open again.Â
The other person is called for their order. Maybe you can finally get out of here.
The next thing you know, you feel something steaming hot being poured down the back of your shirt, on your head, thrown in your face, (which you luckily cover most of with your arms) and splattered on your arms and legs. Standing up, you cry out in pain as you whirl around to see 4 people from high school, among them the friend of your former best friend.
âItâs your fault my best friend canât function, you retard!â the friend snaps as they push you around roughly.
âNo one wants you on this planet,â spits another.
âYouâre nothing but a parasite!â
âYou just weigh people down!â
âYouâre an embarrassment to society!â
âWhy donât you just end this?â
âItâll be better that way!â
âYour birth was a mistake!â
By this time, youâre hardly a threadâs width away from a meltdown and you look at the cashier for help, but nothing. You try to take out your phone to call for help, but you end up slipping on the coffee, falling to the ground hard and in an odd position, hearing a crack. Pain surges through your body as you look at your arms; burn marks are beginning to form.
After they kick at you for a bit and spit on you, they leave. You look up at the cashier.Â
âWhy....didnât you help?â you whimper with a whistle in your voice.
No answer.Â
They donât help you up either. Crawling to the door, you use a nearby booth to bring yourself back up to your feet. Suddenly you feel an intense surge of pain in your left leg, and not just from the burns. You look to see that itâs swollen and turning reddish-purple. You reach into your coat and get out your phone only to discover that itâs dead. Wandaâs going to be worried sick....you hate making her worry, and sheâs been worried sick these last few weeks to the point where itâs taking a toll on her;Â so on the way back, you decide to take one worry out of her life for good.
======================
Itâs dark when you get back to the compound. And lucky for you, the elevator is closed for repairs. You limp up the stairs, finally reaching the compound. As quiet as a dust mite, you open the door, biting down on your lips to keep yourself from crying out in pain; unfortunately, your lips took some burn damage as well. Limping to the bathroom, you shut and lock the door. You search the medicine cabinet and find some pills.
âThis should do the trick,â you whisper.
You try to quietly position yourself on the floor so that you wonât hit your head. You want to be able to pass as peacefully as possible. But something gives in your left leg and you fall, letting out a loud cry of agony. Realizing your mistake, you quickly fiddle with the lid of the bottle as you hear footsteps rush in. You finally get the lid open and begin to pour out the whole bottle into your hand, hoping to get it in in time--
Click!
The lock turns scarlet, clicks, and the door swings opens.Â
â(Y/N)!â
A terrified Wanda immediately snatches the pills and bottle from you with her powers. She makes them disappear before heading to your side, tears already flowing from her eyes.
âMy sweet angel.....â she squeaks as she kneels in front of you gently taking ahold of your hands. âI didnât realize you were feeling this terrible. Iâm so sorry things have reached this point.â
You look away guiltily.Â
âNo, Iâm sorry....itâs my fault. I never said....anything. You....youâve been so stressed these past few weeks....all of you. I didnât want to make it worse on you, so....I just kept quiet.â
Wanda shakes her head.
âYou have nothing to apologize for, (y/n). It can be scary, but thereâs no shame in reaching out. We all need help sometimes.â
Other footsteps rush in.
âWhat happened?â Nat asks. âDid (y/n)---?â
âAlmost,â Wanda gulps. âWe need to get them to the emergency room.â
âIâm fine,â you lie.
âAre you fine?â Wanda asks.
You realize that itâs pointless to lie, and you shake your head.
âNo, Iâm not....â
âThen we need to take you to the emergency room.....â
Thatâs when she sees the burns and leg.
âEspecially to treat these.....what happened?â
As they carry you to the car, you tell them about the run-in at the coffee shop, them pouring the hot coffee on you, how they were telling you all of these things, how the cashier did nothing to help, how you heard that crack. Both of them are disgusted and horrified at those monsters.
âI donât care what they say,â Nat tells you as they get you inside. âIâm glad that youâre here.â
âI am too,â Wanda agrees as she gets in the front seat. âWeâre here for you.â
âBut.....my autism.....â
Wanda gently takes ahold of your fingers, careful to avoid the burns.
âMy angel.....I can only imagine how isolating it feels to be in a world thatâs not made for you, but your autism is part of who you are. Itâs what makes you unique. If the world refuses to accommodate for people like you on their own, weâll help them to see that they need to, and weâll help advocate with you.â
Nat nods as she starts the car up and the three of you head for the ER.
âI....I feel selfish worrying you like this and even attempting....I just thought....youâve been so stressed and I thought itâd be better to take one worry out of your life.â
âYou have nothing to feel selfish about,â Wanda assures you. âWhat you did wasnât selfish. Youâre in pain, and wanting to do something to stop that pain isnât selfish. But there are better ways to deal with the pain, and I want to help you with those. (Y/N), I can say with 100% certainty that Iâm glad to have you in my life, through the good and the bad.â
Tears flow down your face as the three of you silently drive to the ER.
=============================================
It takes several hours for you to be treated, along with a few more hours of consultation for your mental health. Some of the burns are treated through surgery, so you have to stay for a little over a week to make sure you recover and stabilize. Your leg is put in a cast, and Wanda comes to visit you everyday. You feel much better with her and Nat.
A psychologist comes in to discuss a safety plan with you. You decided to ask Wanda if sheâd come and discuss it with them. She said yes and Nat also decided to help. You all work out what works in terms of coping mechanisms, people you can talk to, calming techniques, etc,. The psychologist also recommends regular counseling. Wanda asks if there are any remote options for counseling, as itâs going to be difficult for you to get there with your leg, (Also, sheâs a little worried that the therapist might try to take you away from her, but she does show concern for your leg) and to her relief, there is.Â
Youâre discharged after about a week, but youâre not to be left alone for a few days to another week or two, just to be sure. Well, itâs more of Wandaâs recommendation than psychologistâs orders, but the psychologist also thinks that that could be a good idea. Youâre not really complaining; itâs more time to spend with Wanda. And sheâs certainly not complaining either.
For that time, especially, she makes sure you know that youâre loved, wanted, valued. She practically dotes on you; as if she hadnât been doting on you before, sheâs especially pampering you now. The other Avengers also get the 411, and decide to help. If you need pain or sleep medications, one of them brings the proper dose to you. They take turns spending time with you and getting to know you more. If they need to go out on a mission, Wanda volunteers to stay with you, but if sheâs absolutely needed there, she entrusts your care to Vision, a robot whoâs exceptionally caring. You and Wanda regularly discuss possibly adding him to the relationship, but youâre not sure if sheâs being serious or not.Â
On one night, Wandaâs caring for you. After applying the prescribed cream on your burns, she helps you find an oversized t-shirt to wear as PJs.Â
âThis oneâs softer than the others,â you note.
âI went looking for a shirt with a softer material than normal,â she tells you as she prepares a small dose of melatonin for you, one that youâve been taking to combat the nightmares of those events in the hospital. âI know how much it tends to make you feel discomforted if there is one. I also made sure it was a tagless shirt.â
You smile and sigh.
âI donât know what I did to deserve an angel like you, Wanda,â you tell her.
Hearing this she smiles and blushes.
âIf anyoneâs the angel, itâs you,â she says as she gives you the melatonin. âYouâve been there for me even when Iâm at my absolute worst.â
âSo have you.â
You take the melatonin before Wanda brings you your toothbrush and toothpaste. You brush thoroughly before spitting it into a cup that Wanda disposes of.Â
âYou know, I could go to the bathroom and do this myself,â you tell her kindly.
âI know,â she sighs. âIâm just worried, my angel.â
âWhat if I wash my face tonight with the door open?â you suggest.
Wanda gives this a little thought and nods.Â
âI can work with that.â
Using your crutches, you walk to the bathroom where you sit on a stool in front of the sink. You wash and dry your face before heading to the bed with Wanda helping you get tucked in.
âYouâre seriously an angel,â you tell her. âI donât think Iâve ever met someone outside of my family thatâs been as concerned about my well-being as you.â
âAnd youâre too sweet,â she smiles again as she finishes getting ready for bed herself. âIf anyoneâs the undeserving, I donât deserve you.â
âNo, itâs the other way around,â you say.
âNo, Iâm certain Iâm right.â
You giggle.
âWanda, if we try to prove one right over the other, weâll be going at this all night.â
She smiles as she goes over to the other side of the bed.Â
âWell, I know youâre an angel,â she tells you as she gets under the covers. âYou came to me in a dark time, and you shone a beam of sunlight through the shadow.â
The two of you look at each other as the fairy lights hang above you. Of course youâre looking at the bridge of her nose, but you canât help but glance up at her eyes a few times; one time they catch you, and they are stunning. Theyâre like emeralds to you; vivid, entrancing, mystical. Just a single glance, and you know thereâs so much to know about, so much to discover, and you become lost in them.Â
âIâm so proud of you, (y/n).â
Wandaâs gentle voice echoes against your eardrums and dances around your mind, soothing you into drifting even more. But then she boops you on the nose, making it twitch like a bunnyâs and snapping you out of your trance.
âHuh?â you ask, looking lost.
Wanda giggles.
âYou are too cute,â she tells you. âI was saying that Iâm so proud of you for pushing through all of this. Itâs not the easiest thing to do, and.....well.....Iâm glad youâre still alive, my sweet little sunbeam.â
You blush upon hearing this and turn away, but Wanda gently redirects your face forward.
âThereâs no need to hide, my angel. I want to see your lovely face.â
At that moment, you begin to feel drowsy and bring yourself closer to her.
âI donât think Iâll ever be able to thank you enough, Wanda,â you sigh.
She brings you in closer and you melt into her embrace.
âBeing with you, and you being safe and happy and alive.....thatâs the only thank you I need.â
Leaning in, she kisses you gently on your forehead and you shyly return one on her cheek.Â
âGoodnight, my angel,â she tells you as she brushes a strand of hair out of your way.
âWait,â you say as she turns to switch the lights off. âWill....will you sing me those lullabies again? Please?â
âOf course,â she smiles.Â
Turning the lights off, she returns to embrace you and softly sings the Sokovian lullabies her parents used to sing to her. As you drift off to sleep, you donât know whatâs going on in her mind. Whatâs going on with her mind? Her master plan, of course. Tonightâs the night she will finish what she started. Those monsters at the coffee shop messed with the wrong person. For the past few nights, sheâs been paying them visits, doing the same things she did with your former best friend, and sending subconscious suggestions for them to gather in one place, thinking theyâd be safer together. And now they have.
Tonight sheâs going to make sure their minds are gone for good, but not before making them feel the pain and agony she imagines you felt. Her anger with them is in full throttle, so itâs going to be even worse for them. Telekinesis, fear projection, hypnosis, inducing extreme fear, sheâll do whatever she has to. Wanda will not leave until theyâre nothing more than hollow husks, shadows of their former selves. With how theyâd been acting on those nights, and how much Wanda has done so far, it wonât take too long.Â
Because no one-and she means no one-gets away with hurting her precious angel.......ever.

Okay okay okay so imagine Reader is abducted by the separatists because she ( or nb reader ) is a very well loved member of the senate. So obviously Anakin goes to save her, but his idiot plan gets him captured as well so then it's up to Reader to talk her way out of this mess, get to her idiot boyfriend, free him and then both of them try to make it out alive. Bonus points for Obi-Wan looking very tired and sick of Anakin's ideas in the background. What do you think?

You groaned as you opened your eyes and attempted to shake the drowsiness that seemed to cling to your very bones. You blinked, trying to get your bearings and remember what had happened. You were preparing for your speech at the Senate, trying to pass a peace treaty between the Republic and some smaller territories that were debating joining the fight against the Separatists. Youâd been fighting for support for the treaty for months and you finally had the chance to give one last speech before the vote.Â
Youâd been pacing in your Coruscant apartment, practicing the speech for your boyfriend a million times. After you finished your recitation, you exited the room, needing to get your notes that youâd seemed to misplace. So you went into your office and⊠nothing.
Why couldnât you remember after that?! You opened the door to your office, walked inside, andâŠÂ
You sighed as you came back to the present, leaning against the wall behind you and looking around. You were clearly in a cell of some sort and the Separatists were almost certainly behind this. You were still in your Senate attire, although it had been thoroughly scuffed up, and theyâd taken your datapad and other communication devices. You felt around your boot and smiled. Your knife was still there. They must have assumed you wouldnât be carrying a weapon to your speech and not done a thorough enough check. Whatever the reason, you were thanking the Maker it was still there.Â
Back in Coruscant, Anakin was walking the Temple halls in a crazed state. When you didnât show up for your speech, he immediately panicked. He knew how important this treaty was for you and the entire Republic; youâd been going over it for forever and there is no way youâd just blow it off without telling anyone. The rest of the Senate was also concerned. Youâd grown up in one of the poorer districts and, thus, had a sense of relatability and humility that most were drawn to. Whether or not they agreed with your policies, almost everyone could understand that you always kept the interest of the people at the forefront of your mind.Â
When Obi-Wan walked up to him with a ripped piece of your clothes and your scattered and crumpled notes, Anakin felt his heart drop.Â
âIt was the Separatists. They must have knocked her out in her office and escaped through the vents.â
Upon seeing his absolutely heartbroken expression, Obi-Wan added, âWeâll get her back, Anakin. I promise.â
Anakin could only nod, ideas for a plan to save you already running round his head.Â
Youâd been in this kriffing cell for four days now. Or maybe it was five? You were desperately trying to keep your wits about you but it was so hard; they brought you a tiny ration of food and water once a day and it was not near enough to keep your strength up. Youâd spent your time trying to carve your way through the bars but your knife was no match and you quickly gave up, not wanting to dull the blade. Youâd found a loose brick hidden around the floor and used the knife to cut it out, allowing you to hide your weapon under it on the off chance they searched you again.Â
You tried to think of a plan to escape but they hadnât even opened your door yet. There was no way you could get out by yourself and, until someone came in that you could attack, it was pointless to even try. They kept you in complete darkness and silence, no way to tell how much time had passed aside from the daily rations. You assumed you were on a Separatist base but that proved unhelpful; they were widespread and the cell held no defining features of climate or location. You had tried calling out to see if anyone else was around. Each time, you were met with your own echo.Â
You stilled, hearing footsteps approach you. A Separatist guard opened your cell door, roughly pulling you out. You yelped, legs not cooperating after so long of sitting in the cramped cell. He led you into another room that was barely brighter than your own. Sizing up the guard, you felt fear creep in. No matter how hard you tried to banish your anxieties, knowing theyâd only serve to lessen your already shaken focus, it was sometimes impossible.Â
âTell us which planets are deserting.â He commanded.
You met his stare evenly, refusing to let your fear betray you. There was absolutely no chance youâd tell him anything. As soon as the Separatists learned which planets were thinking about joining the Republic, theyâd send armies to wipe them out immediately. You refused to let that happen.
âFine. Be that way.â The man pulled his fist back and sent it into your cheek, the impact sending sparks of pain throughout your entire body. He brought his foot up, kicking you in the gut and you fell harshly onto the floor. He grabbed you by your hair, hoisting up your body as if it were a ragdoll. You gathered your strength and spit in his face, enjoying the way his smug look disappeared. In retaliation, he slammed you into the wall, the impact making stars cloud your vision.Â
The man released you and you fell, your consciousness already starting to detach from your body. You tried to reason with yourself, hoping logic would aid you. This is a trauma response. Iâm not going to die. My body can take this. I will black out, but I will wake up again. Theyâre not going to kill me. They need me alive. Iâm not going to die. Iâm not going to die. Somehow, the hardest part is this was banishing the thoughts of that beautiful boy from your head. You knew that if you allowed yourself to think of him, to fathom how he would blame himself should this be your end, you would give in.Â
Instead, you focussed on the physical pain you felt, on the rage you channeled to this guard. You hated how weak you felt, how exhausted you were. You allowed your mind to hone in on all the ways you could hurt this man, given you had your full strength. You let yourself hate yourself, appalled at how you couldnât even fight back. With every punch he threw at you, you went further into your head, into the one place this man couldnât touch. Eventually, your mind started spinning from dehydration, pain, and overexertion. All you could do was curl into a fetal position and hope it somehow stopped.Â
âWhat do you mean youâre going to find her?â Obi-Wan said, running after Anakin.
âItâs been days, Obi-Wan, days. There are only so many Separatist bases in the galaxy and Y/Nâs on one of them.â
âAnakin, donât you think theyâve planned for a rescue mission?! This is Senator L/N weâre talking about! And they took her right before the vote, this was clearly a thought-out attack, stop acting like itâs simple!â
âIt is simple! Those Separatist assholes have Y/N. And itâs been days. What if she thinks we forgot about her? What if she thinks weâve given up? They could be doing fucking anything to her and Iâm not going to let her stay there for another minute!â
âAnakin-â Obi-Wan began but Anakin waved him off.
âIâm sorry, Master. But if the Council wonât do anything, I will.â
âAnakin, the Council is trying! They just donât have enough troops right now to send a full rescue mission after one Senator. They just want a few more days, then some troops should be back from their missions and you can have your full battalion.â Obi-Wan took a breath and lowered his voice, empathy for his friend clear in his words. âI know you love her. I want her back, too, you know. Iâve grown quite fond of her; her friendship is quite dear to me. All Iâm asking is you be careful and think this through.â
âBelieve me, I have thought this through. I wouldnât do anything to put her in danger, we both know that. And while a few days doesnât seem like much to the Council, weâve seen the harm these Separatists can inflict in far less. Listen, it might not be the strongest plan Iâve ever made but, if itâs between a semi-formed plan and none at all, the choice is already made.â
With that, Anakin jumped into his ship and took off into the night. Obi-Wan sighed, leaning his head into his palm. He knew how much you meant to him and he knew of Anakinâs frustration with the Council. They moved slowly, wanting to figure out every angle before jumping into a decision. While Anakin was a brilliant strategist, he tended to act impulsively when someone he loved was in danger. As Anakin traveled further and further from Coruscant, the older Jedi could only hope that the both of you returned home quickly and safely.Â
Anakin looked at his shipâs display and cursed when he realized he was low on fuel. Heâd been piloting for hours and there was still no sign of you. He was searching out for you with the Force and, still, nothing. Finally, he felt a faint energy pulse through the Force. He followed it to what was supposed to be an old abandoned Separatist base, concerned by how weak your lifeforce felt.Â
He parked the ship and got out carefully, trying not to alert anyone to his presence. He pulled out his lightsaber but was careful not to ignite it. He saw an open door and ran through it, relief blinding him as he felt your energy grow stronger with each step he took. He turned the corner and saw a crumpled body on the floor of a tiny cell.
No, Anakin thought, it canât be her.Â
Without thinking, Anakin ignited his lightsaber, wanting to use the light to discern if the figure was truly you. The noise bounced off the walls and startled you awake. He mentally cursed himself and instinctively turned off the saber, not missing the even louder noise it made with it turned off. He inwardly facepalmed, realizing if he hadnât alerted the guards before, they sure as hell knew now.Â
You blinked groggily, wincing at your immense injuries and bruises. You remembered passing out while that asshole beat you and now you-
Wait, You thought, is that a fucking lightsaber?
You knew you must have heard it wrong, thereâs no way the Council would have approved a relief mission this quickly. Further, there is no way it would consist of just one Jedi.Â
Suddenly, the lightsaber re-lit, illuminating your boyfriendâs face. His determined expression grew stronger as he noticed the 10 guards surrounding him and pointing their blasters directly at his head. You smiled. He could take out ten guards with his eyes closed. You called to him in shock, hardly believing your eyes. He looked at you and immediately widened his eyes as he saw a guard come up behind you and point a blaster directly at you from outside your cell.Â
âLightsaber on the floor, Jedi, or the girl dies.â The guard growled.Â
He looked at you in anguish and you could tell he was already beating himself up for âmessing upâ your escape plan. You shook your head, hoping he understood your message: this isnât your fault.Â
âAnakin donât-â You couldnât even finish the sentence before his weapon was on the floor. He put his hands on his head. As they grabbed him, you stood in helpless silence as they threw him in the cell beside you. They locked the doors and, once again, you were in darkness.Â
You desperately crawled to the edge of your cell, trying to reach out to him. He was doing the same and when you felt his fingertips against yours, you almost started sobbing. You werenât alone anymore.
âYou came for me.â Your voice was soft, disbelief lacing your words.Â
âOf course I did, my love.â
Then, as if everything finally registered in your brain, you reached out and tried to slap his arm. âAnakin, what about the Council? Theyâll kill you when they realize you went on a rescue mission, alone, and without approval! Ani, the only thing keeping me going in here was knowing that you were safe! And now youâve gotten yourself thrown right next to me, no weapons, no light, no food, no water, no escape! What the fuck are we going to do?!â
Anakin had opened and closed his mouth multiple times throughout your speech, trying to find a way to plead his case but was left without one.Â
âI just wanted to save you.â The grief in his voice made you sigh and take a step back. This was your Anakin you were talking about. Your safety was his priority, always. Besides, doing all this because he was afraid for you? You couldnât possibly stay mad. You smiled, despite yourself. Anakin. You thought, slightly shaking your head.Â
âFuck, I love you. Is it selfish that thereâs a small part of me thatâs glad youâre here with me?â You said, breaking the silence.Â
Anakin breathed out a sigh of relief, glad you werenât upset with him anymore. âNot at all, my love. So long as it isnât bad that my least favorite part of this is not being able to see or kiss you properly because of this damn darkness.â
You chuckled, lacing your fingers with his once again. âYou wouldnât want to see me right now.â
Anakin froze. âY/N? What are you talking about?â His voice was serious, clipped. He knew you would try and make it seem less than it was. You winced, realizing there was no way to lie your way out of this one.
âJust what the Separatists would call aggressive negotiations, I presume.â
âHow bad?â
âItâs fine, Ani, I promise. Letâs just focus on getting out of here, okay?â
Anakin took a deep breath, collecting himself. âAlright. But as soon as we get back youâre going to a medical droid.â
You groaned. âAnakin I hate-â
âI know you hate the medical droids. But thatâs only because they always rat you out when you try and lie to me about the extensiveness of your injuries.â
âYou lie about how bad your injuries are, too! Remember that one time you came back from Kamino?!â
Anakin laughed, despite himself. âYouâre never going to let me live that down, are you?â
âYou were literally bleeding from the head! And you said, and I quote, âitâs just a scratchââ Every time you thought back to that day, you were incredulous.Â
âAlright, alright! Letâs just focus on getting out of here.â
âThatâs my line!â
âY/N,â He warned.
You smiled. Maker, you missed him. You honestly didnât think that anyone else would have you laughing while you were beaten and captured.Â
âOkay. Whatâs the plan?â Anakin said, back to the matter at hand.
You lowered your voice, leaning toward his cell so you could talk without being heard. âI snuck a knife in with me and Iâve been able to keep it a secret. Now that youâre here, it might actually come in handy. The problem was that I couldnât stab anyone because no one would come into the cell. I need you to get them here. Push them against the side of your cell, the one closest to me, and Iâll stab them. Then while theyâre hurt, you run out, unlatch my cell, and weâll go.â
âIâm dating a fucking genius!â You could just about hear the smile in his voice.Â
You smirked. All things considered, you were pretty proud of yourself.Â
âWhen do you want to do this?â
âThey bring daily food and water rations in the morning, I think? I canât exactly tell what time it is, theyâve kept it so dark and isolated. Regardless, the next time they come by I need you to get them in here. They normally just leave the food outside and push it under the door.â
Anakin could hear the disorientation in your words and wanted nothing more than to be able to see you, to be able to hold you and reassure you that it would all be alright.Â
âOkay, angel. Got it.â
âAnakin?â
âYeah?â
âThank you for coming to get me. Itâs really good to hear your voice.â
âAlways, my love.â
Both of you silenced when you heard those footsteps. You smiled for the first time as you heard them. Weâre going to get out of here.
âYeah, thatâs a great idea, Y/N! This brick in here is loose!â Anakin announced loudly. You bit your cheek to suppress a smile as you watched Anakin catch the guardâs attention.
âWhat did you say, Jedi?!â
âI have no idea what youâre talking about.â Anakin responded, dramatically feigning innocence.Â
The guard huffed and you internally cheered as he roughly opened the door. He walked over to your boyfriend, keeping the blaster pointed at him. As soon as the guardâs attention shifted to the âlooseâ brick, Anakin used the force to knock the blaster out of his hand and push him against the wall of the cell where you slashed his Achilles tendons.Â
The guard howled in pain and you knew you had to work quickly if you were to get out of here before the rest of the Separatists found you. Anakin fumbled with the latch on your cell, the immense darkness making it difficult. Finally, he got it open and ushered you out. The both of you took off in a run and he gripped your hand with his metal one as you did so.Â
You immediately stopped as you felt his hand roughly pulled from yours.Â
âWeâve got you now, Skywalkerâ The guard said.
âY/N, you ready?â
You blinked, unsure what he was referring to. Then, you heard an object whipping through the air and on instinct shot your hand out, catching it. You ignited Anakinâs lightsaber that he had summoned to you with the Force, itâs signature buzz making you feel powerful beyond words.Â
The light caught you off guard and you squinted until your eyes adjusted. You saw Anakin held back by two guards. Hearing faint footsteps, you took off in a run. Anakin ducked as you swung wildly, hitting and taking out both guards.
âYou done holding us up?â You said, extending your hand toward him once more and passing him his lightsaber.Â
Anakin smiled, accepting it. âMy sincerest apologies.âÂ
You both ran, hand-in-hand, until you finally made it to the exit.
âWhat?â You said, as Anakin stopped abruptly and looked at you, panicked.Â
âThe ship! Itâs out of fuel!â
âItâs what?!â
âI-â Anakin and you stared at each other, flickers of doubt coming into your gaze. You canât believe that youâd been able to escape for nothing.Â
âAnakin! Y/N!â
You whipped your head around at the sound and were met with another ship a few meters down, Obi-Wan piloting it.
âWell? Are you coming, or what?â You and Anakin looked at each other in shock before taking off in a sprint, one guard now close behind you.Â
He started shooting and Anakin pulled out his lightsaber, deflecting some of the shots. As he focused on that, you pulled your knife back out of your boot and sent it flying into the guardâs chest, effectively stopping his pursuit.Â
Anakin smirked at you, awestruck. You shrugged before jumping into the ship, extending your arm to Anakin and helping to pull him up with you. You entered and immediately leaned against the wall of the ship, relief coursing through you. You laughed and Anakin joined in. He immediately pulled you into him, kissing you hard.Â
He broke away from the kiss, looking at you with adoration. âYou are a fucking badass!! Youâve never even held a lightsaber and between that and your fucking tiny knife you took out four guards!! I didnât even get any! Iâm not going to lie, Y/N, Iâm a bit jealous.â
You laughed, leaning into him but wincing. As the adrenaline wore off, your pain was suddenly quite palpable. He noticed and pulled back, scanning your face and body.Â
His smile fell as the extent of your injuries sunk in. Your busted cheek, scratched face, and ripped clothing that exposed some of your many bruises across your torso and limbs were overwhelming.Â
âYou kids alright in there?â Obi-Wan said, walking in from the cockpit. His smile died on his face as well as he took in your form.
âIâm alright, guys. Itâs not as bad as it looks.â You said dismissively.
âThat doesnât look like nothing!â Anakin shot back.Â
Obi-Wan looked at you apologetically. âAnakinâs right, Y/N. Please, rest. Weâll be back to Coruscant soon.âÂ
Coruscant! The Senate! âMy speech!! Fuck, I had to present my speech! Iâve been gone, what, a week? Theyâve probably already voted, Kriff.â
Obi-Wan shook his head. âThey decided to suspend the vote until you were back, Senator. They truly care for you and your policies.â
Your heart swelled at Obi-Wanâs words. You looked into Anakinâs eyes and saw that he agreed with the statement full heartedly. He took your hand and gently ran his thumb up and down its back.Â
âRest, my love.â He whispered to you, coaxing you to lie down on the coach and pulling off his Jedi cloak. He wrapped it around you as a makeshift blanket, smiling as you pulled it closer to you and drifted off.Â
Obi-Wan walked up to Anakin and placed his hand on his shoulder. âLetâs leave her be, okay?â
âI donât want her to wake up when Iâm not here.â
The elder Jedi nodded in understanding. âSheâs exhausted, she wonât awaken until we get back to the temple, I assure you. And if she does, youâll just be in the other room.â
Anakin looked at you once more before smoothing the hair back from your face and gently placing a kiss on your forehead. He let his palm run down your cheek before he finally pulled himself away and walked into the cockpit with Obi-Wan.Â
âSo, how did you plan pan out?â
Anakin looked at his former Master, unamused. âI think you already know. Howâd you know to come get us, anyway?â
âWell, when you didnât come back or even attempt to contact the Council for over a day I assumed something had happened. I tracked your ship.â
Anakin nodded. âIf not for Y/N, weâd probably both be dead.â
Obi-Wan laughed. âI heard! Four guards?! Youâve found yourself a good one.â
Anakin smiled. No words were needed, everyone knew that was completely and utterly true.

Clang.
Clang.
Clang.
The zinging cadence of his hammer hitting a new blade usually tempers his fraught emotions and lessens their intensity. The rhythm and beat usually calms him, the heat of the furnace and the steady drip of sweat as well. Except his heart thunders on and his breathing remains irregular and his eyes stingânot from stray embers or errant drops of perspirationâand his agitation grows.
It grows so powerfully that he miscalculates and swings his hammer much too harshly, breaking the blade he was trying to fashion which frustrates him further and he throws down his tools with a clatter, pressing the gloved heels of his hands to his brow.
Lazlo.
Tuhka releases a trembling breath.
Barely a day had passed since he had regurgitated all of the regret and agony of his childhood friendâs death right into said friendâs face before gracelessly fleeing, the bitter taste of tears still on his tongue and Lazloâs look of resounding disbelief haunting him even here in the safety of his forge.
It wasnât fair.
Why must he have been forced to carry the burden of grief and guilt for so many years? All those moments of remembrance, thinking of a friendâthe only one he ever hadâ ripped away from the world much too soon, endless nights of pain and suffering, wishing heâd been taken instead...and for what? Lazlo was alive. Had been for perhaps as long as Tuhka had grieved his loss.
How much hatredâor worse, indifferenceâmust Lazlo have harboured to fail in seeking Tuhka out...to reassure him, to reunite with him, to talk with him. They had been family.
Tuhka wrenches off his gloves and tosses them to the side, stalking towards the entrance of his smithy for some air, unable to concentrate anymore on his craft. His hands shake when he grasps the wrought iron gate.
A sound distracts him for a moment, one that carries over on the salty evening breeze that cools the sweat of his brow. Gravel crushed underfoot. Itâs gone in an instant and even with his sharp hearing, Tuhka strains to listen for something further, ears swivelling in the hopes to catch it.
It doesnât take too much investigation to track down the source of the sound once he decides to; a dark figure perched somewhat dejectedly on a boulder that offsets a scenic cliffside path Tuhka often takes to clear his head.
âYou didnât waste your grief, if thatâs what youâre bothered about,â the figure says.
Tuhkaâs breath leaves him in a rush as heâs met with a familiar blue gaze. He feels pulled forward by some invisible thread and settles himself on the far edge of the same boulder, leaving a bit of distance between them.
Lazlo sighs, drops his head into his hands. âWhen you left that day and never came back, I...believed youâd abandoned me, that youâd made good on your promiseââ
âThat was a childâs threat, I never meant toââ Tuhka began, needing to explain despite the betrayal he felt, still very fresh, that had upended years of mourning.
The other tiefling shook his head, dropping his hands away from his face and letting them fall to his lap. âI made a terrible decision, I paid for it,â the spectral left hand twitches and Tuhka notices it properly for the first time, heart squeezing despite everything and mind filling with more questions, âand I...went away for a long time. I didnât think to look for you...I thought you despised me.â
He releases a mirthless laugh. âI donât think I wouldâve found you anyway. Iâd have been looking for someone...quite different.â
Tuhka swallows hard. âIâve...probably grown a bit since you last saw me.â
This startles a small, but real, laugh out of Lazlo, even if it does sound a little wet.
After a pause, Tuhka gathers strength from the stars and attempts to keep his voice steady. âThat day...I went back for you. I did. I wasnât going to, I was about to start a new life away from those bloody mines and I was so angry with you that I hoped you would stew in them forever...but then I remembered you wanted to get out just as desperately as I did and we swore to do it together so I went back to fetch you.â
Tuhka didnât dare raise his eyes to Lazloâs face, staring intently at his own hands grasping his knees even though the image was beginning to waver and blur.
âIt was snowing and freezing and I walked through it without stopping, thinking that I would see you soon and whisk us away to a better place, until I saw the smoke from over the hill and I knew youâd gone ahead with our plan without me,â Tuhka let out a shuddering breath, âthey said you got crushed in the tunnel along with that bastard foreman. Donât remember much of what happened after that...just that Iâd gone to fetch you and came back empty-handed.â
Tears flowed freely, despite previously believing he had run out of tears to shed. From the corner of his eye he noticed Lazlo wipe his face with a pure, white square of cloth.
âTold you the truth thoughâŠâ Tuhka continued, after a none-too-discreet sniff, âmourned you like a piece of me had died. Couldnât think of much else for a good few years,â He runs a forearm over his face roughly and finally turns to Lazlo, raw and exposed, âI wouldâve looked for you in a heartbeat if Iâd known you were alive. I wouldâve.â
Lazlo lets out a sound like an animal in pain, fresh tears rolling down his cheeks that he no longer tries to wipe away. âI didnât know...I didnât knowâ I mucked up my plan and ending up losing everything, Iâ I was trapped for years without knowing how much time passed, I was...I was isolated from the outside in a way you wonât be able to understand but you must believe me, I never wanted to lose youââ
That final crack in Lazloâs voice is what forces Tuhka to move closer and wrap an arm around his shoulders, mumbling soothing words until the sobs that wrack Lazloâs frame subside. It reminds him of when he was youngerâand much smallerâwhen Lazlo would do the same for him after a tumble, a run in with the awful foreman, or when overcome with a sadness he couldnât understand, much less explain. Lazlo would have been there to comfort him, always.
As if hearing his thoughts, Lazlo lets out a tremulous sigh. â...Tables have turned, hm?â
Tuhka makes a tentatively amused sound in response. There is a whirlwind of emotion to wade through, but he can take this moment just to experience how real and solid Lazlo is. That heâs back.
âA right pair of bellends we turned out to be,â he ends up saying.
âQuite.â Lazlo sniffs, but thereâs a small, albeit watery, smile on his lips as he straightens out of Tuhkaâs one-armed embrace, and Tuhka tries not to let the empty feeling that remains affect him too much.
Something that has been niggling in the back of Tuhkaâs mind takes on more force and the reason finally dawns on him.
âYou sound different.â
Lazlo finishes wiping his face with a fresh, white handkerchief and makes a noise, muffled by the fabric.
âYes, ah...I trained out the accent I used to have and replaced it with a new one.â
Tuhka blinks. âWhatâs wrong with your old accent? Thatâs the accent I have! I got it from you!â
âI needed to, ah...move in higher circles of society and I couldnât very well sound like a common miner, could I?â
Tuhka opens his mouth to argue, a nostalgia for their juvenile arguments filling him in a split second, but Lazlo interrupts, âYou know, we donât have to speak Common if youâd prefer.â
They fall back on Infernal so naturally that Tuhka has to swallow a lump in his throat and keep the waver out of his voice. He never thought he would have this again. Heâs a little rusty and out of practice but that doesnât seem to matter in the momentâitâs like theyâre back in the mines, speaking their language out of earshot of the foreman, making plans for the future in a world that was all dreams.
Tuhka tells Lazlo how he adopted Ooria (and not the other way round as she claimed to recall) and how she had helped him find his true self. He tells him about his work, his smithy and how he made a home on this cliff by the ocean. He doesnât talk about the painful things, like crying himself to sleep every night for years from missing him, or the search for his adoptive mother who was now lost.
Lazlo talks aboutâ what Tuhka suspects isâ superficial milestones, his expertise in identifying gemstones, the places heâs visited and the night skies he has lain under and commemorated on his skin. Tuhka notices the glittering constellations peeking out of Lazloâs clothes and his heart thumps, wanting to ask what made them special enough to wear permanently but he stops himself...still feeling like a stranger. Thereâs an undercurrent of darkness in Lazloâs vague statements, of secrets untold, and Tuhka is slightly surprised by a keen disappointment that bubbles within him at not being trusted with them.
Thereâs a lull in conversation, an impending finality that Tuhka does not appreciate. He refuses to remain a stranger as well, which prompts him to realise that he hasnât even properly introduced himself yet.
Feeling bold, he holds a hand out in the human way. âTuhka Turunen.â
Lazloâs gaze lands on the proffered hand and then flickers up to Tuhkaâs face, seeming to weigh his options. He breathes out a laugh and leans forward, ignoring the hand to press his forehead slowly but firmly against Tuhkaâs in customary tiefling fashion. An echo of the greeting they shared when they first met as children.
âLazarus Astrophel,â whispers the tiefling formerly known as Lazlo.
Tuhka smiles. âNice to meet you, Lazarus.â
They part and LazloâLazarusâclears his throat, âMy close acquaintances sometimes call me Laz. You may do so, after all weâreââ a beat of hesitation, ââold friends.â
His vibrant blue eyes are on Tuhka, almost as if expecting him to disagree. Tuhka doesnât.
âLaz,â he says, smiling, âlot less likely to get mixed up with that.â
The sea breeze sighs around them, ruffling hair and clothing. Tuhka watches as Lazarus gets to his feet.
âItâs late. I should be going.â
Panic flickers through Tuhka. âYouâre leaving?â
âI have business in town for a day or two, Iâm staying at an inn there...The Kingâs Cushion?â
Tuhka nods, recognising the name. He gets to his feet as well, unintentionally towering over Lazarus.
âStars...I donât know if Iâll ever get used to that.â Lazarus grimaces.
âYouâre welcome to visit,â Tuhka blurts out, trying to keep any semblance of desperation out of his voice and getting the impression that he failed, âyou wanted to commission something, we can talk about that whenever you like.â
After a moment of confusion, Lazarusâ expression clears. âAh, right, yes, that was what got us into this mess in the first place, wasnât it? Yes,â he smiles, âIâll keep that in mind.â
This time when he leaves, itâs with a lot less anger than moments after their first confrontation only days ago, and with a promise to come back. They had once shared everything, even their deepest desires. Now, after fifteen years apart, theyâve become completely different peopleâthe fact that Lazarus came here, willing to talk, making promises to return even if thereâs a chance he may not keep them...itâs a start. And that will have to be enough for now.
Tuhka sits back down once Lazarus has vanished from sight down the path and gazes up at the same stars he had begged night after night to return his best friend to him.
He thanks them for listening.

The General (part 9.5): Geto Suguru x Fem!Reader
synopsis: itâs over. the ruse is up.
wc: 2.1k
tw: none
masterlist
âHave you ever considered just not going to meet the Prince and remaining in your rooms?â Kaori wonders as you sharpen a blade with a rock. âI mean, Iâm sure he wouldn't bother you if you assumed the appearance of an invalid. How about getting out of town for a week?âÂ
Sheâs tried everything to get you to reconsider your stance on killing Prince Naoya. Any theory, any loophole, any cop-out; Kaoriâs said it. But you have no choice. Geto has to be avenged, and the only way you can manage vengeance is killing the man who sent your lover to his death.Â
âListen, we have only a couple of days left. We can use poison, strangulation, accidental drowning, and straight-up murder - which I think is the messier of the bunch.â Toji ticks off methods as he watches you work away at the blade with determination. âI vote we poison his food, and if that doesnât work, smothering can go a long way.â Megumi peers into the little pond in front of him as his father discusses treason, entirely uninterested in anything but finding another frog to play with. You envy the child and wish that you could take his place, forgetting everything else except the current pursuit of a frog. But your frog is much more elusive, slippery, and well-guarded.
âWe have to drug the guards first,â you note, and Toji grunts affirmatively, biting his lip as he stares past you, deep in thought. You look at the scar on his mouth and squint, wondering if youâre just now noticing the pink-ish raised mark or if youâd seen it before, but never noted the way it looks against his tanned skin in the sunlight. You look away before anyone can accuse you of staring, but make a note to ask about the injury later.Â
âHow can you be assured that none of this will affect your parents?â Kaori wonders, and you look at her with a pensive stare.Â
âIâm sure it wouldnât affect them. They know nothing of the plot and I--â
âIf youâre dead, you canât defend them,â she reminds you, and for a moment, you reconsider the plan altogether.Â
âToji, do you think you could get my parents out of here safely?âÂ
âI canât guarantee shit,â he replies, resting his chin on his palm as his green eyes focus in on you again. âBut I can sure as hell try.â He adds when you give him a defeated look. You respond to his addition with a half-smile, and he rolls his eyes at the sight, huffing out a short breath.Â
_______________________________________________________________________
âTry and hit me,â Toji encourages you, and you reach a hand out to slap him across the face. But you miss entirely and stumble forward, almost face-planting into the ground. âYou canât put all of your force in your upper body like that.â He chastises, stepping in front of you again.Â
âGive me a rake and weâll see about that,â you counter, earning you a loud laugh. Toji takes his stance again, hands prepared for a fight.Â
âCome on, little girl, put up a serious fight. You donât need a rake.â You inhale deeply, centering yourself with one foot placed behind you at an angle and one foot in front, planted firmly into the dirt. âHit me.âÂ
The roundhouse kick narrowly misses Tojiâs tan face, and his eyes widen as your heel barely scrapes his nose.Â
âI said hit me, not kill me!â The bodyguard gripes, and you laugh at his overly-surprised expression and step back, holding your stomach as you bend over in a fit of giggles. When you stop and straighten back up, you catch Toji staring at you in wonder.Â
âWhat?âÂ
âYour laugh⊠Iâve never heard you laugh like that before.â At the mention of your enjoyment, you hum thoughtfully, realizing, yes - you hadnât laughed so heartily in a long time. But in his moment of unguardedness, you shoot your hand out - the fist making contact with his gut immediately. He grunts, holding his abs and wincing a little. âYou⊠fucking... bi--â Before he can finish his sentence and grab you, you take off for the hill behind the house, laughing as you run with all of your might.
But Toji catches up to you easily, grabbing your elbow and making you tumble to the grass, then roll back down the hill in his arms. As you roll - and scream - grass and dirt and wildflowers are kicked up and tossed into your hair and clothes, dirtying your face as well. When you stop though, youâre on top of Toji, and his arms are crushing you against his chest protectively.Â
âYou can let go now,â you groan, and he opens his emerald eyes, staring right into yours with an intensity youâve only seen on one other personâs face. âTojiâŠâ you whisper, and his face changes again, now softer and much more⊠relaxed, if that was even possible. He blinks, and you pause, recognizing the meaning behind his looks. âFushiguro, I--â He lets you go immediately, clearing his throat and standing.Â
âWe should get back before dinner. Iâm fucking starving.â He saunters off with his hands in his pockets, not even offering to help you up off of the ground. Â
_______________________________________________________________________
The moon hovers precariously in the night sky, illuminating the garden directly below it and bathing you in moonlight. Youâre only a few hours away from meeting Prince Naoya, and itâs the thought of seeing him face-to-face that keeps you up tonight. What would he look like? Would he know who you are? Would he ask you any questions about Geto?Â
Your eyes rest on the reflection of the moon in the fountain, Tojiâs old dagger resting in your lap.Â
âIt ainât much,â he mumbled when he handed it to you. âBut if something happens, whether itâs with the food or the smothering... Youâve got this dagger.â Then he showed you how to murder someone quickly by using a pillow and your dagger, aiming precisely for the open space between his ribcage. âStab once, pull it out, and run like hell if you want.âÂ
You inhale deeply, filling your lungs with fresh air.Â
âCold out here,â Toji mumbles, rubbing his arms as he walks out of the house barefoot. âCanât sleep, y/n?âÂ
âNo,â you admit, then jerk your chin at him. âYou?âÂ
âI donât get much rest these days,â he replies, sitting beside you at the fountain. âWorried about tomorrow?â You look over at the green-eyed man and blink, your blank expression telling all. âWell, Iâm not. Youâre going to be fine.âÂ
âAnd what will you do when you have to watch me be executed?â you tease, but Tojiâs eyes fall to the fountain, eyeing the moonâs reflection.Â
âItâll be sad. But I understand why you have to do what youâre doing.âÂ
âToji Fushiguro? Sad?â You laugh, but he gives you a withering look instead of laughing along with you.Â
âListen, Iâve made a lot of off-color remarks, but I meant what I said. Youâre a great person, and I would hate to see your life go to waste over some petty vendetta.â His mumbling catches you off guard, but you say nothing in response, opting to look down at the dagger instead. âBut, youâre determined to pursue your lover into the afterlife; I get it. You must really be in love with him.â
âI am,â you reply, still not looking at Toji.
âWell, since youâre going to die tomorrow, I might as well be transparent with you,â Toji whispers. âYou know, looking after you was a pain in the ass at first.â You frown at him, wondering what kind of comment that is, but he continues anyways. âBut you grew on me. Shit, watching you for these months has become enjoyable, more exciting than the idiocy I used to do before. Y/n⊠Iâm--â Toji swallows hard, then raises his eyes to meet yours. âIâm... going to miss you.â Toji leans in slowly, placing a rough hand on your right cheek before kissing the other cheek with a tenderness you always knew he held deep inside. Once he pulls away, he stands, raking his hands through his short hair and sighing before walking back into the house. But youâre left outside, wondering what couldâve been if you werenât so hell-bent on bringing your dead lover justice.Â
_______________________________________________________________________
The sounds of horses, bells, cheering, chants, cacophony⊠too much noise.
You can hear it all from your position in the kitchen. The village is louder than itâs ever been before, and all the noise provides the perfect background noise to you and your motherâs preparing food for the six of you already living in the house and about thirteen guests- the seven guards, the four servants, a royal advisor, and finally, Prince Naoya. The resulting feast will outshine any feast your mother has cooked before, and you know that the village will speak of the honor bestowed upon your house and the cooking from it for at least a day.Â
The next day, they will be lamenting the loss of the eldest son of the Imperial Court, and rejoicing upon your execution. Just like they celebrated Getoâs death.Â
Wherever you are, I hope youâre happy, Su, you pray as you peel a leek with precision. Only a few more hours and Naoya would be within your reach.Â
First, youâd drug him with a powder Toji had acquired in exchange for⊠something unmentionable that he wouldnât divulge. Second, you would help the prince off to his bed as the drug took hold of him and tuck him in. Then, youâd smother him to death. If that didnât work - âand thereâs a chance that it might notâ, Toji warned - you would stab him in the heart. Death would reach the Princeâs soul before the morning light. And you would be ready to die the next day, all to meet Geto in whatever world he had passed on to.
An icy hand grips your heart as the hours pass.
The thought of rejoining your lover - feeling his arms around you, touching his hair, looking into his black eyes - is more than enough for you to pretend everything is alright. All youâre doing is making the most of the last few hours you have with your family, Kaori, Toji, and Megumi. The small child is parading about in his newest outfit, displaying his hakama and haori for all to see and coo over. Toji wears a matching outfit, the clouds and animals drifting about his black haori reminding you of a zoo display and of the days you wish you could have.Â
Youâre wearing your best kimono - the peach one Kaori dressed you in the day you left the camp; Suguruâs motherâs kimono. Itâs all too beautiful, really. Everyone is dressed up like royalty, but youâre the only one who came dangerously close to that life and escaped by the grace of a certain General who had your heart. Now, you would murder royalty and die as much of an outcast that Suguru was.Â
After you wash your hands in the fountain, you place the dagger inside your kimono and look at yourself in the mirror for the last time. Color had returned to your cheeks over the past few days, and a certain look in your eye had become commonplace. You had something to live for, and these days would remain in your memory as the best days youâve had since Geto died.Â
âTheyâre coming up the path,â Kaori hisses as she walks past you, ushering Megumi and Toji to the door behind your mother and father. âCome on.â You follow them obediently, standing behind your father and mother as the procession winds its way down the road. While soldiers, musicians, villagers, everyone is parading in front of the carriage carrying the murderer of your lover, you look to the ground and clench your fists. Your resolve steels itself in your spine as you hear the procession get even closer, the clanging making your jaw tighten and your knees tremble. Too much noise, too much noise, too much noise for a man who slaughtered innocents.
The music dies down when the carriage comes to a halt, but the sound of children excitedly squealing nearby. You keep your eyes downcast, not daring to look the spiteful man in the face or attract attention to yourself. The echo of childrenâs excited chatter stabs you in the heart even deeper - how could children be excited by this killer? - and you try to block out the memories of Itadori, Junpei, and Nobara, but to no avail.Â
Youâre trying so hard that tears are streaming down your face, and mucus gathers in your nose as you begin to cry quietly. Megumi reaches up to grab your hand tenderly, holding it in his five little fingers as you hear the door to the carriage swing open slowly. You avoid looking, and sniff so hard you almost miss the first words out of a certain blue-eyed bastardâs mouth:Â
âWhoa; watch your step, Yuji! You donât want to fall in front of Lady y/n, do you?â
