it actively holds everyone back when you equate femininity and femmeness to weakness. whenever you imply that feminine people and femmes are inherently weak, in need of protection, inherently submissive, incapable of hurting others, and pathetic, you are holding everyone back: women, men, people of all kinds, trans, cis, intersex, non binary and beyond.

femmes do not inherently need to be protected. feminine people do not inherently need to be looked after. femmes are not incapable of defending themselves, of being strong, of being capable of protecting others, of being independent, of being masculine as well, or being assertive or dominant. femmes and feminine people are capable of being just as diverse as any other group of people and when you insinuate that femininity is inherently tied to weakness you fail everyone.

mascs and butches aren't inherently strong, and they don't have to be. femmes and feminine people aren't inherently weak and they don't have to be. perpetuating these cisheterosexual norms in the queer community does no one any favors.

trans and intersex people just aren't going to fit into any gendered structure based off the experiences of perisex cis people. There is no framework that aligns with the cisgender perisex model of gender relations that will accommodate trans and intersex people accurately. We as a community need to start defining new structures to discuss gender based on the lived reality of all people, not just cis or binary or perisex folks.

As many of you know i’ve been struggling with my mental health and my financial situation is not the best, i’ve been doing little jobs like pet sitting and doing chores/paperwork for people to be able to pay rent but this month was just not a good month

I just want to be able to pay rent these holidays, i don’t want to disappoint my sister and ruined christmas. i’m not asking for anything else but to be able to pay rent on time before the 29th to make my sister happy and not getting us into troubles with our landlord (my sister is aware i don’t have rent money rn and she’s very worried)

Natalie from Hastings East Sussex UK. I've been cross-dressing for 18 years but I have really started taking it seriously the last two years. I absolutely love dressing up it makes me feel so sexy and desirable, the feel of the soft tight clothes against smooth skin makes me feel amazing. I have never been out dressed up but will be going on a cross-dressers only holiday in November where I will finally step outside as Natalie, I’m so excited but nervous at the same. I can’t wait to be dressed up with lots of lovely cross-dressers where we can all feel comfortable together.

I totally love cross-dressing it has become such a large part of my life I don’t think I could ever give it up. I get a lot of my clothes from online shops like temu, boohoo and the vinted app but I love shopping on the high street when I can it gives me such a buzz. I am lucky enough to have friends and family that also donate their unwanted clothes to me which I am so grateful for.

My two main styles are the sexy secretary look with a short skirt, high heels and a blouse that shows my cleavage or the night out on the town look in a little black dress and high heels I like to make the men look.

My makeup and wig collection has grown out of control recently I have more than I know what to do with although my makeup skills still need some work, lol it takes me an hour and a half to get ready and fully transformed into Natalie but I enjoy the whole process I feel so feminine when putting on my makeup in the mirror.
