Nations having human names is kinda odd when you think about it. You’d expect their people to just call them by their official names or else “motherland” or “fatherland.” So, here’s me coming in with a headcanon about where these human names come from (´∀｀)

A nation’s legal name, the one used on treaties and trade deals, can change over time. Or be different depending on who’s speaking. Germany is Deutschland to some his friends, Japan is Nihon at home, exonyms vs. endonyms, kingdoms become republics, yadda, yadda. But a nation’s human name - their gifted name - is forever. I call it “gifted” because it’s given to them not by the politics of the world, but by one of their citizens. One of their best and brightest. A son or daughter any of them could be proud of. Any human can try giving a nation a name, but if it isn’t the right one it won’t stick.

The first nation to get a human name was China when he met Confucius. They encountered each other on the road one evening waaay back around 467BC when the philosopher was on his way home. They talked, shared tea, and Confucius called China “Yao Wang” for the first time. China couldn’t explain it, but he just knew this was his name. Knew deep in his soul

Greece was second. He marched with Alexander the Great and finished the campaign as Heracles Karpusi. When the other ancient nations heard the news they were all very excited. Except Yao, who was put out that he wasn’t unique anymore lol. Then gifted names were officially “a thing” that nation people eagerly waited for. I imagine their naming days are very fondly remembered along with the human who was there for them. A few examples throughout history:

Russia knelt before Catherine the Great and rose up again as Ivan Braginsky.

Spain was invited to read a first draft of Cervantes’s and left as Antonio Carriedo.

Japan walked with Nobunaga the day before Anegawa and went to bed that night as Kiku Honda.

One of the sole exceptions to the usual way is America, who was named “Alfred” by another nation rather than a human. Arthur named Alfred after one of his favourite kings: Alfred the Great. Alfred chose the “F. Jones” part himself when he became independent. Before that he was Alfred Kirkland. This was a weird blip in nation people history, but they chalk it up to Arthur’s magic. As for Arthur himself, he was named by Merlin. Yes, that Merlin

I haven’t thought of specifics for every nation. A few ideas are Otto von Bismarck for Ludwig, Napoleon for Francis, and maybe one of the Popes for the Italy bros. What do you guys think? What historical figure might have named your nation?

War of the Worlds Reimagined

A post about the audio drama "War of the Worlds Reimagined" by Frog in Hand!

In 2020 while the world was pivoting to understand the new realities of life under a pandemic, Colleen Snell, Callahan Connor and I brainstormed a way to do the same with what was supposed to be the next show from Frog in Hand: a live Toronto Fringe dance-performance set to an audio version of H. G. Wells’ classic tale War of the Worlds. All of a sudden, we didn’t have a deadline. The realities…

Would you agree with the idea that The Penguin is the Gotham Villain most likely to leave the most hilariously honest memoirs of The Batman Years? (featuring secrets, scandals & the inside scoop treasured as blackmail material for so long they've become mere history, with Cobblepot finally deploying it all to take painfully accurate potshots at EVERYONE and set himself up as the Grandest Relic of the Bad Old Days in the process): One thinks of this work as being titled IN FULL FLIGHT.

He probably would succeed at setting himself as Grandest Relic of the Bad Old Days above all other Batman rogues, to be honest. One thing I really liked about the Arkham games, despite my mixed feelings on it's portrayal of Penguin, was the idea shown in Joker's final defeat, when he sees a future where Gotham has largely moved on from him and instead it's Penguin who has a museum dedicated to him as Batman's Greatest Villain. Of course, in the Arkham games he's nowhere near that position, and you could argue that it's just something Batman's showing Joker to mess with him, but it's an idea that makes sense even just within the context of the Arkhamverse.

Ra's and Hugo operated in secrecy, where as Penguin was a well known figure of Gotham fighting Batman for years. Joker and Scarecrow terrorized the city to a much, much greater extent, but that also makes it more likely people would eventually try to either forget them or avoid mentioning them decades down the line outside of discussing their historical atrocities. Nobody talks about or references Jim Jones and Ed Gein the way people do Al Capone and Oda Nobunaga. The former are horror stories, the latter are pop culture villains, and regardless of what atrocities Penguin may or may not have committed, that's how he's gonna go down in the Gotham of that universe.

And in the comics, it helps that The Cobblepot Family has been defined as having a foundational part in Gotham's history, something that Penguin's never gonna live up to, which already confers him a celebrity status even before he decides to carve his own legacy, in his own way.

Uses the internet to research A LOT and about anything. Will search information on how to improve government policies to how konpeito is made.

Has Instagram for promotional purposes but Hideyoshi’s basically in charge of managing the account. Also has twitter to make announcements. Has a lot of followers on both.

Also uses the internet a lot to search up places of interest. For him and his s/o ^_^

Hideyoshi:

Plays those 10 hours of soft rain or classical music or campfire noises etc. at night because it’s soothing and helps him sleep.

Mainly uses the internet to get his work done faster - saves him trips to the archives that involve shuffling around for hours to find a certain paragraph.

Has a private facebook account, a whole ton of messaging apps for his fan girls and a public facebook account where he’s almost reaching the max limit of friends. Technically has Instagram because he manages Nobunaga’s.

When he’s free, his on online shopping for hours. He’s always on the look out for deals, sales and cute things for his cute s/o 

Ieyasu:

Would binge Asian dramas, TV shows and anime. Doesn’t enjoy reality dramas as much because even though it says ‘reality’ he still feels that it’s all fake.

Searches news and educational things. Especially likes to read breaking online science magazines.

Only social media he has is twitter. Uses it to rant and complain about things.

Sometimes, when he’s desperate to cheer up his s/o, he will search up images of baby animals and will sit his s/o down and show them picture after picture just to cheer them up.

Mitsunari:

Audio books are his thing on the internet. Buys books online like an addiction. Also enjoys watching documentaries that better himself as a tactician and a warrior on the field.

Other times, he’ll be watching videos of baby animals or search up science articles like Ieyasu

He likes to ask Ieyasu about the latest news and interesting articles to read but Ieyasu just won’t tell him.

Has any social media his s/o has and will like every. single. post. from them

Masamune:

Of course, the internet is one of the best places to get culinary tips and tricks. When he’s not busy, he’ll even post some of his own to help others.

Down to watch any movie, TV show, drama, anime. Always swamped with recommendations from his vassals and fans

Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter etc. he has them all. Combined, he has more followers/friends than the population of Oshu.

Uses the internet to learn new things. Any time his s/o’s birthday is coming, will make something from scratch he learned from the internet to gift them.

Mitsuhide:

Memes, memes, memes. Likes to watch buzz feed videos to pass time but doesn’t actually enjoy them. Sherlock Holmes TV Series? Sign him tf up. Also likes the Indiana Jones movies o.0

You swear he’s gone to the dark side of the web. Has he though? No one will know.

Has a twitter account but only to follow others and get notified of any big dramas going on. Also has Snapchat and used to have Tumblr until they banned adult content- ahem, we won’t go there.

Sometimes he finds the internet amazing because there’s so many things on it, but other times he finds it boring because there’s so many things on  the internet yet there’s nothing on his beloved s/o.

There was some hesitance in the way he spoke, and his accent stilted his pronunciation. But, still, Graham was one of the better speakers from Unova. Only the best would be provided to the man who wished to open the country to foreign influence.

“My name is Graham Jones. I will be speaking your will to the Unovan traders who have come to do business with you. Are there any questions you have for me?”

TBH I was going to pair you with Masamune or Mitushide cause there is something about a jokester teasing personality that just fits so well with these two clowns buuuut then I decided Sasuke instead.^_^

Even though Sasuke has a stoic face, he is by no means shy. He has no problem introducing himself and striking up a conversation. The first time the two of you officially meet was when you were running the hell away from Nobunaga and his crew. Honestly, they terrified the shit out of you with their death glares and accusations. When Sasuke and Yukimura found you, you were out of breath, crouching down on the forest floor, giving yourself a small break before you would resume your running for your life. There was no time for introductions cause the tree of you could hear the Oda force horses approaching. Both Sasuke and Yuki grabbed your hand and helped you to escape. Once you were a safe distance away, they decided it best to take you to their safehouse to talk and find out exactly what your deal was. You were really quiet and reclusive. Luckily Sasuke immediately recognized your face and went into must PROTEC mode. Yuki was blunt as ever, making you crawl further and further into your shell. That night when everyone was asleep, you decided to sit outside. You were still lowkey convinced it was a dream, that was until Sasuke came outside and sat next to you. He explained the whole-time travel situation and how he had been searching desperately for 4 years to find you. He asked you if you would like to stay with him until the next wormhole opened and you were but only too happy to accept.

The next day the lot of you rode to Echigo, Sasuke made sure to keep the conversation light, but you were still feeling incredibly anxious about the whole situation. That is when you revealed your secret weapon! Humor! You started cracking a few small jokes just so you could get hold of your anxiety. At first, they were soft-spoken like a whisper, but when Yukimura heard a few of the comments you made, he burst out laughing. You were hilarious. Yukimura's laughing definitely encouraged you to keep going. Even Sasuke, who could never muster any sort of facial expression, was now wearing a soft smile. The thee of you rode in an atmosphere filled with goofy comments, jokes, and laughs. And, you were already starting to form a strong friendship with the two of them.

The second you arrived in Echigo; you felt like winter had arrived. Your reception was rather chilly, to say the least, luckily Sasuke was here the whole time holding your hand and glaring down at his lord. He made sure to keep Kenshin in check for any unnecessarily rude comments. Heck, at this point, even Yuki had a hand on your shoulder to back you. Although over time, you had won Kenshin over with your tomboyishness, and he welcomed you to the dysfunctional family. Both you and Sasuke celebrated this welcoming with a dab. Sasuke loved that you were a bit of a tomboy, TBH; he never liked the prissy princess type. It also made you incredibly easy to talk to. Not only that, but man, he missed having someone to speak to regarding future concepts. You were also crazy academically driven, which he loved cause you would quickly grasp theories and concepts and even hypothesize some of your own. You actually started helping him out with his time travel, wormhole research, offering him small bits of advice and tips along the way. Heck, when Kenshin overhead how smart you were, he had made you the new castle advisor. You were an incredibly good listener, and your advice always seemed to be spot on. 

Plus you were super keen on learning some ninja arts, which Sasuke gladly taught you. The two of you would goof around in the garden playing random ninja games most afternoons. Your favorite game was to pull pranks on Yukimura! The two of you would get up to all sorts of nonsense and then just Ker-vanish before anyone could lecture you. 

Your love for crafting came in handy big time when Sasuke started teaching you how to make ninja weapons. You loved making smoke bombs, blowguns, grappling hooks, and hidden blade in the most random objects like your shoe. Hell, with Kenshin's permission, the two of you even started making big elaborate Indiana jones style boobytraps in the roofs crawl spaced and secret castle passageways. You had also built in a few oases in the roof crawl space in which you and Sasuke would sit for hours just sipping on tea and chatting in peace.

Sasuke secretly loved your crude humor, especially at the nightly banquet, when both of you would be very tipsy. You would start making hilariously crude jokes, and the two of you would team up and make it your goal to see who could get Yuki to blush the most. To both your surprise, it was Shingen who always won, making even the two of you blush with his jokes. When the two of you were together, it's always a good time.

When the two of you got into a relationship, you were honestly goals. You would leave each other little hand-drawn memes to brighten each other's days. He also knew that you were prone to worrying about him and all your new friends whenever they went off to war, so he would make sure to write you every day about the happenings, heck he would even get the others to write a small paragraph to prove they are well and unhurt. When he would get back, the two of you would spend the rest of the night together cuddled up together on the castle's roof, just making jokes under the stars. Needless to say, a few kisses were snuck in between the playful jokes and goofing around. Sasuke was always also there to listen to all your insecurities and anxieties and would soothe them with some little snuggles and his classic straight-faced jokes. Your favorite perk about dating this lovable ninja boy… SPIDERMAN KISSES

Graham Jones watches the foreigner impassively as he speaks, seated next to Lord Nobunaga. After a moment, he turns to whisper the translation in his ear. He may also make note to the daimyo that the foreigner is speaking quite rudely to him.

   “Mm.” He understood that much. Europeans had a lot of guff-- they thought those who spoke other languages, and believed other things, were less civilised and therefore could be talked-down upon.

Mulling that idea over, Nobunaga’s lips pulled into a tight smile, Then, straightening up, he laughed, and laughed louder. Eyes remained on the stranger for only a moment before he turned to Graham and spoke to him, instead of at his guest. A very blunt show of disrespect. 

   “Tell him I’ll consider his proposition, and that he’ll have to wait two days as the castle is quite busy, now.”

But... the reason the castle was busy was because Nobunaga would be packing up and leaving to another castle, soon, in another region entirely.

The Odd Pair 18

Selene saw Kennyo walking out of the office exactly five minutes later. The man had an unreadable expression on his face. He didn't address anyone outside. Kennyo kept walking leaving the place. Selene wanted to get into the office as soon as possible. But at the same time, a sensation of fear to being reject paralyze her from going to Shingen's side. A hand on her shoulder took her out of her thoughts. Nobunaga was next to her.

      “Go, he needs you now.” a soft squeeze on her shoulder was all she needed to enter the office.

She found Shingen sitting on his desk with his hands on his face.  Selene walked next to him. Hesitating Selene started to caress Shingen's hair. She wanted to tell him so much, to let him know how much it hurts her seeing him like this. But this was not about her. This was about him, the man she had never stopped loving not even when he hurt her. Selene kept caressing his hair until Shingen turned to her and hug her by the waist. Selene embraced him in silence. Both stood there sharing their warmth for several minutes. Shingen then broke the embrace to look at her. His eyes focused on her. For once she saw how vulnerable he was feeling at that moment. Although brief he let her see him bared, Selene closing the distance gave him a soft kiss on the lips. Cupping his face in her hands she keeps the soft short kisses until he demanded something longer. Soon both were kissing, taking what they could from each other. At some point, they broke the kiss to take a break and recover their breaths.      

“Thank you.” Shingen's voice was a soft whisper.     “I'm always here for you.” was Selene's only reply.       “There is so much I want to tell you, I wish we could be alone...” His words got cut at the sound of the knock on the door. Nobunaga entered.     “You got to be fucking me...” Shingen buried his face on Selene's chest frustrated. The task of speaking with his own wife now seemed monumental.      

“This is not my doing so stop giving me that look Shingen,” Nobunaga smirked at the annoyance of his rival.

“ The Board called for you and Selene.” Both looked at each other in surprise, Shingen stood up still embracing Selene.      

“We will be there in a minute. Kennyo left some documents on this folder for Selene, could take a look at them to see if there is anything illegal? Also, could you give us a minute?” Shingen handed the folder to Nobunaga.

The lawyer took the folder and turning around he left. With a sigh, Shingen looks back at Selene. Smiling he hug her once more in silence.    

“I wish we could speak more but until this is over it seems we won't. Selene?”    

“Yes?” she felt her cheeks a bit of warmth.      

“Keep being you always, never change. It is one of the things I love from you.” with a kiss on the forehead Shingen dropped a bomb on Selene.

Widened her eyes Shingen didn't give her time to react. Taking her hand with a gentle squeeze he started walking.    

“Come on let's go. The board is waiting.” with a tug from his hand, Selene started walking still too startled to make a proper reaction.    

Selene's mind was completely blank. How could he tell her that then walk away without explaining? Ladies and gentlemen Crawford.exe has crashed. Selene's heart was beating fast and her cheeks colored with a beautiful crimson red. She followed Shingen without saying a word and her gaze looking at the floor. The rest of the gang were following them, noticed Selene's semblance. Her cheeks were with a bright shade of pink while biting her lower lip softly. Shingen must have told her something that took her out of the base. Considering the situation he is trying to distract her. Nobunaga decided to stay behind at the office to look at the documents Shingen gave him. He wanted to know what sort of testament Loren Dali left.    

  When the group arrived at the conference room they notice that Nolan was not there. The members of the board were still there, waiting. Once everyone was inside Roxanne Jones stood up to speak.     

“Thank you for coming back Mr. and Mrs. Takeda. We like first to apologize for Mr. Nolan's behavior. We thought he got good reasons to oppose this marriage, but we see this has been a show for him.  You're had work hard Mr. Takeda, to rise this company to what it is today.  And now is only natural that you want to start a family. We don't mind you taking this “sabbatical” in order to achieve this. Congratulations.” everyone on the board decided to stand up and applaud them.     

Breathing a sigh of relief Shingen gave his trademark grin. Turning toward Selene to kiss her. Selene looks at the ground completely flustered by Shingen's actions. Nonetheless, she was happy with the outcome. A kiss on her forehead made her lookup. She could see his eyes, full of emotion, by an impulse she hugged him and giggles. Shingen turned toward the board, with a reverence that also Selene imitated.    

“My wife and I are grateful for your understanding. Words can't be enough for us to thank you.” Once the meeting finished, everyone went back to Shingen's office.    

Nobunaga was a completely adsorbed on the documents when everyone went back. Seeing their smiles meant one thing.      

“So we won uh?”    

“I guess you can say that,” replied Shingen.

“Found something on those documents?” Nobunaga wanted to tell so many things but not in front of Selene. Loren Dali had proved to be a man of many talents. And most of those documents were legal. Which meant Selene was going to be rich enough for a couple of lifetimes. What worried him was the terms of the testament.  Nobunaga got fed up with all these eccentric conditions to receive an inheritance. Trying to make as nonchalant as possible he replied to Shingen.    

“Most of this is basic stuff, but still I need them for a while to work out some details. May I?” Shingen nods. Nobunaga started to get the documents back on the folder.      

“Well, I'll be on my way. If you guys need anything give me a call.” with a wave he left.

The rest gathered talking about the situation. For the moment Nolan was still a threat and they can't leave him walking around. Everyone agreed to go to Shingen's apartment to celebrate.

     “Ok everyone we are seeing you there. Princess and I will be there in a few minutes I need to make some calls.” once alone Shingen made some calls to other Managers to leave the company.   

Selene decided to wait on the couch while observing Shingen. Although she should be happy Selene felt something was missing. Or several things were missing. Many questions came to her mind about Kennyo. The second was the bomb Shingen dropped on her.  

“Stop overthinking.” startled she look at Shingen who was staring at her.    

“Why you say that?” frowning Selene stopped biting her nail.   

“Every time I said something that gets you by surprise. You start thinking and I can see the smoke coming out of your head.” Shingen smirked before adding.

“Also you have this tick of biting your nails when you don't know what to do. Had someone had ever told you how adorable you look?”    

“How...Takeda, you are not playing fair. I...you are insufferable come on hurry up I'm getting hungry.” Selene tried to hide her embarrassment by changing the topic.

Turning around she took her phone decided to hear some music. Shingen's smile softens at Selene's reaction. She still was struggling to open up to him. He admitted not playing fair. But he was betting everything to make sure this time she will stay with him.      

Alex Nolan slams the door of his office behind him. His secretary, Alice Smith, took the action as a bad moment to disturb him. Knowing her boss he will call for her as soon as he got something in mind. Passing around the office, Nolan cursed Shingen Takeda and his stupid wife. Angela Fiori (C.V: Yoshiko Sakakibara / V.A: Mary Elizabeth McGlynn) Melissa's grandmother was a very kind woman that Melissa loved with all her heart. When she died at the beggining of 1914, Melissa was totally devastated, and when she returned back to Central and found out that Hughes also had died, only worsened her mental state. Melissa's first daughter is named after her. Alex was who decided it because he knows how much she loved her. Evelyn Jones (C.V: Ayumi Tsunematsu / V.A: Kari Wahlgren) Evelyn, just like her son, is a very warm and friendly person who always cares about others. She was like a mother figure for Melissa, and was an important support for her, especially during her first pregnancy while her mother Beatrice was distancing herself from her. Evelyn gives her, the day of her wedding, a little heart-shaped pendant, that Melissa wears it in a cord in her wrist since that day. Jonathan Jones (C.V: Kazuhiko Inoue / V.A: Illich Guardiola) Jonathan is a verious serious man yet a very warm person. For him, the most important thing in life is his family. He welcomed Melissa to his family when she married Alex, and loved her as his own daughter.

Gabriele Fiori (C.V: Yoshimasa Hosoya / V.A: Richard Epcar) Melissa's father is one of the most important people in her life. He is a very quiet person who rarely shows his emotions but he loves her daughter so much. Melissa is also quiet so she understands him. Besides, Gabrielle also supported her when she though about joining the military. When his mother Angela died, he fell into depression and Melissa tried to make him feel better. Beatrice Fiori (C.V: Sayaka Ohara / V.A: Ellyn Stern) Melissa's mother is a very stric and stoic woman just as Melissa herself. But unlike her, Beatrice is a very traditional woman; something that ruined her relationship with her daughter. First, she didn't support her at all when Melissa decided joining the military because she thought that a woman shouldn't be in a job like that, so she distanced herself from her daughter. Not only that, but also she didn't like so much the idea of Melissa marrying Alex; something that Melissa wouldn't forgive. Lionetta Breuer (C.V: Hitomi Nabatame / V.A: Erica Lindbeck ) Lionetta is Beatrice's sister. She lived in Central and needed help in her store, so she asked her sister if she could. So, in 1889, Beatrice and Gabriele moved to Central and started living there with her, too. Arabelle Jones (C.V: Miki Itō / V.A: Mela Lee) Alex' older sister met Meli when they were children and became friends. Arabelle is a very supportive person, so when Melissa started dating Alex, she welcomed Melissa to her family without even thinking. She was very happy since she always appreacited her a lot, besides she knew about Alex' crush for her since forever. She has a relationship with Lucy Carter (miss-mary-grace 's OC) whose character can totally handle since she has some similarities with Melissa. Alexander Jones (C.V: Yūichi Nakamura / V.A: David Matranga) Alex is a very kind and warm person. Basically the definition of cinnamon roll. Alex met Melissa when they were children in Central and inmediately became friends. Alex was in love with Melissa since they were kids, something that everyone noticed, except Melissa. He was key when Melissa's grandmother and her friend Hughes died, supporting her in everything he could. After the Promised Day, he confessed to her. Months after that, they got married and had their first daughter. Melissa Fiori (C.V: Yōko Hikasa / V.A: Elizabeth Maxwell) Melissa's desire of protect people made her join the military. At first, she worked like secretary principally and did a lot of paperwork for the Major Maes Hughes with whom he became friends due to his easy going personality. She was working under him for a year and was promoted to corporal because of her skills. Since then she worked in the investigation department and is promoted to sergeant major with 24 years. After the Promised Day, Melissa decided to leave the military. She knows for Hughes' death how dangerous their work is and she can't accept that one day the pain that Gracia and Elicia are going through could happen to Alex. Since then, she became an employee in Evelyn's florist shop. Fiorella Fiori (C.V: Rie Takahashi / V.A: Colleen O'Shaughnessey) When Fiorella was born, Melissa looked after her a lot because she thought that as an older sister she had to be like a second mother for her. When they grew up, they still have a very good relationship even thought they were distanced due to Melissa's tense situation with her mother. Fiorella usually tries to reunite her mother and her sister so they can talk and  forgive each other. Angela Jones (C.V: Mariya Ise / V.A: Kelly Sheridan) The first daughter of Melissa and Alex is a hurricane. She's very spontaneous yet responsible. Both Melissa and her have strong tempers so sometimes they argue and Alex has to mediate between them. Thank to her love for music she could meet Vanessa Elric's (novanoah 's OC) beautiful voice and develop a crush on her. When they are older, they started dating. Samantha Jones (C.V: Chiwa Saitō / V.A: Kate Bristol) The second daughter of Melissa and Alex is a very shy child. She has a hard time interacting with others, and is very family oriented since with her relatives she feels more safe. Her most precious possesion is a little rabbit keychain Jansen bought her for for apologizing when he broke her favorite plushie.

Jansen Jones (CV: Nobunaga Shimazaki / V.A: Josh Grelle) The only son of Melissa and Alex is totally opposite character-wise of his twin sister. Jansen is a prankster and is proud himself of how he is. Jansen dream is becoming a famous soccer player, but at the moment he has to deal with her archenemy: mathematics, with Leonard Fuery's (his boyfriend math tutor) help.

So i saw Matpat’s latest video about shared universes (starting with Doom and somehow connecting it with Kingdom Hearts) and my crazy brain thought it would be a good idea to expand it even FURTHER all because he used Spider-Man to connect to Thanos in Fortnite (yes seriously)

So behold, all the shit i had to go through to make connections to everything i can find and think of

So since all Spider-Mans are in one multiverse, that means all versions of Spider-Man are canon, so let's look at two cases of alternate Spider-Mans. Theres the Japanese Spider-Man, which was created by Toei as a collab by Marvel, Toei also created Super Sentai, which has connections to Kamen Rider (Super Hero Taisen), Metal Hero (some crossover movies), and obviously Power Rangers. Power Rangers had a crossover with TMNT, which has connections to not only other versions of TMNT but also other series like Batman (basically the whole DC universe is involved), Archie, X-Files, Ghostbusters, Rabbids (they were an extra character in a fighting game, as like a promotion for the new game), and all the toons that showed up in Cartoon All-Stars, like the Smurfs, Alf, Garfield, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Winnie the Pooh (which is already tying back up to Kingdom Hearts), Muppet Babies, Looney Toons, and Ducktales.

Now Muppet Babies is part of the Muppet franchise, the Muppets are connected to Sesame Street, which opens up a can of worms for connections. Some characters cameoed in Between the Lions, Mr Rogers' Neighbor Hood, The Electric Company, Reading Rainbow, Poky Little Puppy, and a bunch of these characters appeared in a We are Family music video, which has *inhales* Bear in the Big Blue House, Barney, Arthur, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Rugrats, The Magic School Bus, SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Blue's Room, Blue's Clues, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Kim Possible, The Proud Family, LazyTown, Lilo & Stitch: the Series, Madeline,Little Bill, The Fairly OddParents, Zoom, AND a whole bunch more shows.

Obviously Jimmy Neutron and Fairly Odd Parents had a crossover (three in fact), but those other shows had crossovers too, like Rugrats having a crossover with Wild Thornberrys, Lilo and Stitch had crossovers too, they had crossovers with The Proud Family, Kim Possible, Recess, and American Dragon Jake Long. Spongebob is connected to a lot of Nicktoons shows through the bumpers on the channel and had a major crossovers with Fairly Odd Parents, Danny Phantom, Jimmy Neutron, Tak, and Invader Zim in the Nicktoons Unite games.

Looney Toons is connected to all other Hanna Barbera property, which had crossovers as well (look at Scooby Doo and Tom and Jerry, they're LOADED with crossovers with other series), as for the Looney Toons cast themselves, examples include Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Pokemon (in a commercial in Kids WB), The Justice League, Wild Kratts (Kinda? The two characters, Road Runner and Wild E. Coyote, were pretty much referenced as a way to say that real life coyotes can catch up to road runners), and The Amazing World of Gumball. And Pokemon had a crossover game with Nobunaga's Ambition called Pokemon Conquest. AND Ducktales is connected to Darkwing Duck and the same goes with the reboot.

Okay now back to where we started, Power Rangers had a crossover episode with Masked Rider, which is an adaptation of Kamen Rider Black RX, Kamen Rider had a FEW crossovers with other series, like Crayon Shin-chan, Pac-Man, Osomatsu-San, Hello Kitty, Pretty Cure, and a few others. Pretty Cure only had crossovers with itself but there is one pic floating around the internet showing one of the Cures standing in front of Arresterdramon Superior Mode, so it might hint to a commercial happening during that time. Hello Kitty has a ton of crossovers with different series, such as Sonic, Cookie Run, Pac-Man, Puzzles and Dragons, Doraemon, Yokai Watch, and several others. In Osomatsu-San Hesokuri Wars, they have costumes/sets of the six brothers being yokai, magical girls, monsters, angels, knights, super heroes, greek

gods, and others. Yokai is also connected to Yokai Watch, which has it's own crossovers with other series, like Final Fantasy, Terminator, Inazuma Eleven (which had commercials that crossed over with Despicable Me), The Seven Deadly Sins, Detective Conan, Hello Kitty (which brings this back to Hello Kitty and its crossovers), Inuyasha, Professor Layton, and several others. Professor Layton had a crossover game with Ace Attorney, which has many references and a small amount of crossovers.

Now let's move on to another Spider-Man, the one from Ultimate Spider-Man, obviously he's connected to the other Marvel shows that take place in that universe, but Spider-Man had crossover episodes/specials with Phineas and Ferb and Jessie, Jessie having connections with other Disney Sit-com shows like Austin and Ally, Good Luck Charlie, Liv and Maddie, and a few others, HOWEVER Mr. Moseby from the Suite Life of Zach and Cody appeared in one episode, which means that Jessie is in the same universe as That's So Raven, Hannah Montanna, Cory in the House (yeah yeah yeah, i can hear the anime memes from a mile away -_-), and Wizards of the Waverly Place. Phineas and Ferb also had crossover specials/episodes with Star Wars and Milo Murphy's Law, Star Wars has many crossovers and references in other shows, like the Muppets, Seasame Street, Captain N, Mario (in that old Mario cartoon episode where they parodied it), Putt-Putt, Megaman, Duke Nukem, Star Trek, Indiana Jones, Dragon Ball, Transformers, Metal Gear, Angry Birds, Lego, Club Penguin, and several others.

The Star Wars references were in Megaman V and Megaman Zero, sprites from Megaman Zero were used to create sprites of TV Tome Adventures, which then became TOME: Terrain of Magical Expertise and then it turned into the video game version of that show, the creator of the show, Kirbopher, did an animation related to Super Mario RPG, and had many voice roles like in Mob Psycho 100, Pokemon, and other series. Dragon Ball is the prequel of Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Z Super made it clear that there's other universes so all of those are connected as well, and Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z had crossovers with other shows like One Piece, Dr Slump, Astro Boy, Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo, and a few others. Metal Gear had crossovers and references in Terminator, Gundam, Castlevania, Mario, Zelda, Ape Escape, Yugioh (which connects itself to the other seasons like GX, 5D's, Zexal, Arc-V, and Vrains), Monster Rancher, Yoshi, The Standley Parable (only in the demo), and several others. Transformers, since it's made by Hasbro, is also connected to other Hasbro property, such as My Little Pony (and Equestria Girls), and they had references to other series in both the show and in the IDW comics, like pony versions of Rick and Morty appearing in one episode, pony versions of characters from Sailor Moon, Gravity

Falls, Kill La Kill, Scooby Doo, Powerpuff Girls, Frozen, and few other shows and even pony versions of IRL people like Gordon Ramsey. Transformers had crossovers and references to other series as well such as G.I Joe, Doctor Who, Spider Man, Star Wars, Marvel, and several other shows, and apparently Jem, Inhumanoids, C.O.P.S, and Robotix takes place in the Transformers universe.

Angry Birds had crossovers with other series like Rio, Star Wars, Puzzles and Dragons, Transformers, Sonic, The Muppets, and many levels in their games make references to other series. Lego Dimensions is full of crossovers, like The A-Team, Adventure Time, Back to the Future, Beetlejuice, DC Comics, Doctor Who, E.T, Fantastic Beasts, Ghostbusters (both the original and the 2016 reboot), The Goonies, Gremlins, Harry Potter, Jurassic World, Knight Rider, Legends of Chima, other Lego property, Lord of the Rings, Midway Arcade, Mission: Impossible, Portal, Powerpuff Girls, Scooby-Doo, Simpsons, Sonic, Teen Titans Go!, and The Wizard of Oz. Speaking of The Simpsons, they had crossovers with other shows like Family Guy and Futurama, AND they cameoed appeared in South Park, and Family Guy is in the same universe as American Dad and The Cleveland Show. The Simpsons also had crossovers with The Critic, X-Files, King of the Hill, Robot Chicken, Bob's Burgers (which means it's also connected to the Archer Show), Rick and Morty, and several series get mentioned in the show itself. As for Sonic, he had a crossover comic series with Megaman, he had crossovers in the comics with Sabrina the Teenage Witch and DC (it was part of a Sonic Super Special comic but for some reason the Wikis won't tell me if it's generally DC or some part of it >:/ ), Sonic had levels in Sonic Lost World that were crossovers with NiGHTS, Legend of Zelda, and Yoshi's Wooly World, in Sonic Forces, there's DLC costumes that are based off of NiGHTS, Beat from Jet Set Radio, AiAi from Super Monkey Ball, and Joker from Persona 5. Sonic had crossover games with other SEGA series, but in Sonic Dash, they had events that had crossovers with Angry Birds, Hello Kitty, and Pac-Man. In one of the Vocaloid games, Miku had a costume that was a Sonic hoodie, to celebrate Sonic's anniversary, Vocaloid made many songs and some of these songs branch out into their own series, one of them being Black Rock Shooter, and i swear BRS was a guest character in some fighting game but i don't remember what the name was.

Okay, now let's head back to Marvel, one of the characters that's paired up with Spider-Man (except for the Movie universe) is Deadpool, and in one comic, he takes a girl to see Hamilton. In one of the Hamildrops, they did a crossover song which was a mix of Story of Tonight and You'll be Found from Dear Evan Hansen called "Found Tonight", one of the actors from Dear Evan Hansen is now playing the role of Jeremy in Be More Chill, and in the original 2015 performance of BMC, the actor who played Jenna also played Martha in Heathers, and Eric William Morris, who played Squip, also played Jordan in The Ballad of Little Jo. And since we're using actors to connect series...*inhales* Lin Manuel Miranda (who plays Alexander in Hamilton) also had roles in In The Heights, 21 Chump Street, Mary Poppins Returns, Ducktales Reboot, Do No Harm, Looking for Maria Sanchez, Sesame Street, House M.D, and a few others. Mary Poppins Returns is a sequel to the original Mary Poppins so they instantly connect, and i'm gonna make a crazy theory of House M.D taking place in the same city (or state) as Blue Bloods and Forever, both shows have characters played by Eric William Morris, who had roles in Trust, Greed, Bullets, and Bourbon, Royal Pains, As The World Turns, and few other small roles. But one of his current roles is Carl from King Kong Broadway, which is based off of King Kong, and King Kong had a crossover film with Godzilla, and there's a short film that had Ultraman and Kamen Rider (i think it was Godzilla?? It was a giant lizard thing :/). However, King Kong was the inspiration behind Donkey Kong, which now has connections to both Mario and Donkey Kong series. Donkey Kong had crossovers/references with Frogger, Pitfall, Qubert, Mickey (from Disney), Punch Out, Mother, Earthworm Jim, Kirby, Crash Bandicoot, Banjo Kazooie, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Scott Pilgrim, The Fast and the Furious, Class of 3000, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!, Big Bang Theory, Metroid, Pushmo, Minecraft, Gravity Falls, Wreck It Ralph, Pixels, Skylanders, several others, and had japanese exclusive songs in Donkey Konga that had songs from Super Sentai, Pretty Cure, Pikmin, Naruto, Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo, Fullmetal Alchemist, Dragon Ball Z, Star Fox, Fire Emblem, Kid Icarus, Ice Climbers, and several others.

Minecraft had a Super Mario texture pack in the Switch version of Minecraft, plus a Steven Universe texture pack as well, there are console exclusive skins based off of characters from Gears of War, Halo, Banjo-Kazooie, Dust, Tony Hawk, Left 4 Dead, Boarderlands, Conker, Half-Life, Portal, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, and several other shows. Steve from Minecraft can be an unlockable character in games like Super Meat Boy, Choplifter, Retro City Rampage, and Creepers can be found in Blocks that Matter, Boarderlands, Torchlight, and Minecraft is refernced in Adventure Time, Octodad, The Stanley Parable, Skyrim, and South Park. And since Minecraft has Halo skins, this ties into Red VS Blue, a show that uses assets from the Halo series. And Red VS Blue appeared in a promotional video alongside the main cast of RWBY. Mother (or Earthbound) is the inspiration for Undertale, which had a sequel called Deltarune, and in one of the locations in Deltarune is a place called "Ice-E's Pezza", and Burgerpants mentions a guy named "Purple Guy" which is a reference to Purple Guy from Five Nights at Freddies. Crash Bandicoot had two crossover games with Spyro the Dragon and had references in Uncharted, Futurama, Johnny Test, Family Guy, Jimmy Neutron, The Country Bears, Jak and Daxter, Friends, The Simpsons, Tomb Raider, and several others. And Mickey is one of the characters in Kingdom Hearts, so now we come in full circle with Matpat's theory.

Combee buzzed eagerly for Nobunaga, trying to get him to follow after her. She circled around his head a few times before flying back towards the open shoji. She hovered there, looking back at him expectantly. Should the warlord not follow her right away, she’d fly back over and buzz even more frantically.

Upon being followed, Combee would lead Nobunaga outside to a most embarassing scene. 

Graham Jones was stuck up in a tree. Not because he was clinging to a branch, but because he was covered in webbing. The man dangled, red in the face from the sheer mortification of being found by Nobunaga of all people. When he’d asked Combee to get help, this was NOT who he’d meant!

His shame was so great, he couldn’t even say anything.

Above him, an Ariados clicked its pincers and stared down at the two. Combee flew up and started making a ruckus at it.

Mr. Jones had been getting awful bold recently, hadn’t he? 

Nobunaga’s hair was so tantalisingly easy to grab that it was a wonder it hadn’t happened more often, and that Nobunaga was surprised when it did happen. When he attempted to turn and stare Graham in the face, the other man would just pull with more force, to the point Nobunaga thought he was going to tip backwards.

Someone was grumpy. When he spoke, he was grumbling: “What are you doing?”
