mixed event concept: toya gets the tenmas and the shinonomes to do something together, maybe for christmas or another holiday. ena and saki bond over fashion and probably talk about airi. akito is in the pits of misery, but seeing toya so happy makes everything worth it. but then something goes wrong. maybe saki gets hurts and tsukasa's protective instinct kicks in. the shinonomes get into a huge fight and storm away from each other.
after that, the two older siblings and the two younger siblings talk. ena asks tsukasa for advice on being a better sister, and he gives her some encouragement. saki confides in akito about how she wishes her brother wouldn't see her as helpless anymore. akito admits he wishes he had relied on his family more when he was struggling instead of acting like he didn't need anyone to care for him.
in the end, saki tells tsukasa how she really feels, and ena offers to buy akito some pancakes because talking about feelings isn't their thing.
4* akito, saki, and ena
3* tsukasa
2* toya
theme: two warring noble houses in feudal japan, shinonomes as the house of darkness, tenmas as the house of light

WHO ARE YOU?
SAKI, TIEFLING MONK
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Saki and her twin brother we're dropped off at a monastery at a very young age after the deaths of their parents. Don't be deceived by her naturally bubbly personality, she's just as quick with her hands as she is with a smile. Flexible in mind and body, Saki finds she's able to channel the elements like it's an art form. Saki and her brother were separated after an attack on the monastery during their teens. She was then captured by a noble and forced to use her acrobatic skills to entertain influential guests until she was able to escape with some of the other exotic entertainment.

thank you everyone for the mafutoya food, much obliged, def cheered me up (my ask box is still open to more…..)
in return, my own mafutoya hcs/fic ideas/just general spouting:
composer buddies. i will die on this hill. theyre an online duo like 25ji and they make music together and their groups have NO idea (bonus points if someone(s) from their group also follow them). i will die on this hill. its hilarious.
on that note, mafuyu taught toya a bit of how to compose— i would imagine she helped him refine how to put emotions into song (since she did that quite well as we know)
^ also, they’re study buddies. def both practice their english on one another, but since madus an honors kids and toyas just Smart they work well together. mafu also helps come up with ways to help toya tutor akian bc she already does that with rando classmates
more canon divergencey, but their parents know each other (not in the same fashion as the aoyagi-tenma friendship…. asahinas more just keeping up terms to look good bc. aoyagis.) so the kids knew each other. they weren’t super close but they’d recognize one another
mafuyu running away at the end of mafu4 definitely gave toya food for thought on his own running away (that he would come back to tackle in toya4 sorry bud)
toyas the extroverted of the two technically. sure, mafu’s mask is even more extroverted, but generally toyas the upbeat one between them.
they like to just take the train around tokyo for the sights. they did it less as toya prepared for rad blast, but mafuyu def took him on a celebratory train ride at some point in congrats
mafuyu does not like most of vbs’ music (since akian wrote the music until roughly toya3, and even then i think they still did the brunt). mafuyu does like toya’s songs, tho
^ followup, toya follows 25ji. hes 50/50 most of the time (partially tastes partially instruments sometimes) but he supports them by leaving ridiculously long comments breaking everything down. hes become a well-known member of the 25ji fandom, accidentally.
more serious hc: toya does not, in any shape or form, “save” mafu. if they knew each other earlier, however, he definitely kept her from going over the edge. i can talk a LOT about this but thats a whole other rabbit trail.
mafuyu gets plushies from toya from the arcade. its usually rabbits, although the occasional cat or bird makes its way into the pile. there is an ever-growing pile of fluff in the corner of mafu’s room at kana’s. honami does Not Know what to do with it.
if they had a sekai together, it would be mafuyu’s fragment sekai but with like. the equivalent of a starbucks stuck in it. like the starbucks at a target or barnes&noble or whatever. mikuluka are their only vs, although they might get a len or kaito later on.
toya goes to miya to pick up kohane when an cant, but honestly goes to talk to mafu mostly. i mean hes there for kohane but sometimes koha has committee and so toya will just,,, talk with mafuyu. the rest of the school is VERY confused as to why this random kamikou guy is talking with asahina mafuyu, and then saki barrels him over one day screaming “OTOUTO!!!” at the top of her lungs and theyre like “oh hes a tenma okay”
this goes without saying but mafu doesnt mask around toya. she did for a bit, but toya saw through it bc it was annoyingly similar to akito’s own. toya Does Not like the mask. in any situation. he willingly chooses to extrovert most of the time than let mafu mask. its partially for his own sanity.
mafu teaches him to cook, and toya reteaches her tastes (partially stolen from that one akitoyamafu fic on ao3 love you)
mizuki constantly tells stories about them to the other, and they always listen with rapt attention. mizu thinks its cute in a way, and is also happy to have their full attention for once (not like toya wouldnt but)
toyamafu have no fashion sense. they just kinda throw something together thats vaguely coherent. akito was forced to band with mizuki to get them to actually match their clothes right.
mafuyu is more athletic than toya (not a high bar tbh) but toyas much more limber and flexible

Chevalier x OC (OC Chart: Esther) Romance / Comfort / Political Intrigue (hinted) ~2.4k
A story that got out of hand. I can't thank Saki @wordycheeseblob enough for the wonderful gift she's prepared <3 So... I just finished this as efficiently as I could. I can only hope my care shows.
Author's Notes: The fall of Amber did not mean the fall of its nobility. However, the ongoing serfdom proved to be a fertile ground for discontent. An Obsidian-backed uprising of Amberian peasantry occurred, leading to near complete annihilation of the former Amberian noble houses. Being of both Amberian and peasant origins, Viva and Esther face backlash from the Rhodolitian royal court.
Additionally, Lady Lavigne is briefly brought up -- she's a character previously introduced in Roots of Deception.
Content Warnings: none
Esther watched as Chevalier stood by the desk, shoulders tense and frame rigid. He was the weary sort of stern, gaze gliding over the documents delivered in his absence as his brow bravely resisted furrowing. The information, however, must have been like a spring shower to a dirt road – for the ground to split was inevitable, very much as it was impossible for Esther to stay there and merely watch. She approached him, the soldier, the knight, the commander, the diplomat, the prince… The man smothered underneath all those layers of titles, stunned by her undoing the clasps of his cloak and taking its weight onto herself.
The ballroom buzzed, idle gossip and the talk of daring ventures both swarming low above the heads of lords and ladies in attendance. A thousand candles kept the golden chandelier aglow, each flame burning twice – once, over the wick, and then voraciously through its resplendent reflection. Molten wax flowed down their sides, few stray drops tainting the marble floor. Heels plinked like glass. The crowd split as conversations prematurely met their end, noble hands latching onto equally noble arms to be escorted away.
One thing, however, remained unchanged.
“Your appeal has been rejected. If that is all you had to say, clear out.” Chevalier’s voice shattered any frozen hope still present in the inquiring stares, the last of ice being crushed to none under the weight of his words. His eyes turned chilling, frost advanced to claim any grounds for objections before they had as much as managed to sprout. Wayward snowdrops still flourished under the nourishment of youthful ignorance, however. The nobleman suppressed a shudder, his fist clenched.
“Your Highness, excuse my impertinence, but I implore you reconsider the —”
“The decision is definite.”
The man withered at once, the initial flush over his cheeks fading rapidly on behalf of a ghastly white, promptly progressing into bloodlessness. Caught unprepared in an imaginary blizzard, he stood, lips trembling helplessly, icy fear of his own creation shackling him to the floor. Chevalier turned his face away, a whisper of a sigh nestling in his throat.
Voices began to die down, hushed themselves and huddled closer to the walls. Violins, cellos, flutes, clarinets, oboes, and any other instruments that felt courageous enough – at first quietly, politely, they merely swept the floor with their sound, slowly growing more brazen with each released note. Another type of excitement entered the air. A woman approached Chevalier, the troubled smile on her face easing some of his frost.
“Are you done now?” he asked, faintest traces of weariness lingering in the crease between his brows.
Esther nodded. “Thank you for waiting for me… And may that be the son of count de la Roche?”
“I — Yes, my l-lady,” the nobleman stuttered, and stuttered only harder once Chevalier put his arm around her waist. Esther let her gaze drift from her fiance, to the stunned nobleman… to one of the ladies stationed by the wall, whose gaze seemed to pierce her. Whatever she could observe over the face half-hidden behind a folding fan, Esther didn’t dwell on it much. She clasped her hands.
“I think I may owe you an apology, Sir.” With practised honeyed sweetness, Esther enveloped the scene in the warmest of her smiles, thwarting the blizzard to announce a spring thaw. “I’m afraid I’m not as competent as my fiance or any of his brothers. I hope the list of missing documents I’ve prepared did not cause any confusion? I’m certain the petition will be reconsidered once those are submitted, although I cannot speak to the result of that.”
“F-fiance? I was unaware.”
Esther clung to the composure hinging on the upturned corners of her mouth. “Yes. We got officially engaged five months ago.”
“I see. M-my congratulations, Your Highness —”
Chevalier’s grip at her waist tightened, the nobleman and the noblewoman fading away as she searched his face for the answers. Her eyes widened as they often did, eternally awestruck with the most mundane of mysteries hidden in any of his mannerisms, studiously examining the surface of his indifference. Esther watched him, and in turn, he watched over her; Chevalier measured any wrinkles in her features, took in the shade of her complexion, made it a point to pay attention to the state of the whites of her eyes…
Esther leaned into her love’s warmth, some of her worries getting tangled in the periwinkle tulle flowing down the length of her legs. She let them go, however, one steady breath interlaced with one barbed murmur at a time. The music grew louder, although never loud enough for the buzz to be snuffed out. The dance began.
***
A thousand flames shrunk to one, a stud of a wick submerged in tallow sitting proudly in the cresset. Thin light licked along the walls, its feathery tongues just barely swiping the winding staircase, lacquered wood of the old bannister sighing heavily under the faintest touch. Impatient footfall rushed ahead, climbed its way up to the very ceiling in a whispered orchestra of ricochets.
“Mind your step. The servants’ passages are rarely maintained past the base point of usability.”
“Thank —”
Chevalier caught Esther by the waist, her foot slipping as if on command. The flame trembled on behalf of her smile, a weary sigh crawling out of her lungs. “I’m sorry.”
“Just be more careful.”
“You know this is not what I’m sorry about.”
“Do I.” Chevalier’s voice echoed up the staircase. The carrier of light, he had Esther walk in front of himself, her hand clutching the bannister as she stepped just at the edge of darkness. It was fine, however; it was not the climb that bothered her.
… wench…
Have you heard of the uprising in Obsidian?
They say peasants slaughtered their own nobility… From Amber… a single golden coin a head…
She’s got to like the smell of blood.
… so that’s what we have for a Queen?
I bet they can’t even read, not to mention write…
… perhaps the king has other uses for her…
That twin? Do you think they switch them sometimes? Surely, they wouldn’t mind.
… That beast, probably no other would touch him.
The walls buzzed, each brick a hive saturated with syrup brewed on waspish remarks. Esther stared ahead, lifted her skirts, disregarded the throbbing in her feet and pressed onwards, scolding herself all the while. She knew things wouldn’t be easy. So… Why?
Why?
The mouth of the staircase spilled into a – narrowly avoiding a title of narrow – corridor, crisp evening air seeping inside through the small windows, a thin coat of rust coating the iron hinges on the frames. The space smelled of musty disuse, moist stench of mould wafting from the old wallpaper. Chevalier scrunched up his nose. Their fingers interlaced, he pulled on Esther’s hand, although to no effect; Esther stood anchored, those mellow eyes of hers widening yet once again, cautious of the oval imprints in the thick layer of velvety dust padding the sills. She ran her fingers through it.
“Esther.”
“Aside from the anti-monarchy faction…” She shook her head, a single wayward curl falling over her forehead. “Do you think they’re connected to Lady Lavigne?”
Chevalier did not reply. The flame painted his face in shadows; hardly brighter than dark starshine sieved in through dirt-covered windows, what little was there of its lustre sinking at the bottom of his eyes. Esther stared at him, intensely enough to evaporate any doubts or uncertainty.
“De la Roche outlines many particulars regarding Lavigne’s imprisonment that shouldn’t be known to the public eye. His petition is likely to be written off as an act of philanthropy, however, it is highly dubious he has no agenda of his own,” Chevalier recounted. He pulled on her hand again and they resumed walking, the floor creaking as they did.
“That would explain Gilbert’s visit.”
“He certainly isn’t here to hear about the working conditions of his spies.” With a scornful snort, Chevalier turned the old bronze knob, the door giving in to reveal the furthest corner of the residential wing of the palace. Esther breathed the clear air with relief, the old passage – purposefully left unattended, as she surmised – closing behind them as if it had been but a nightmare to begin with.
All that remained was, in comparison, just a short walk, just a few carpeted staircases and safe brightly lit corridors, a few moments she would later be hardly able to recall. For Esther, it happened in less than a snap of fingers; one second his warmth was there, clinging to her skin, and then it ceased, disappeared. It slipped away. The knob turned again and with it, they revisited the dark, their very own bedroom appearing rather desolate when devoid of light. Something scratched the wall. Chevalier marched onwards.
“Bambi,” he called. The shuffling stopped on behalf of a content whimper, a newly alight candle enveloping the beast in its glow. The dog wagged his tail before lying his head down again, the bedding underneath him having moved from its original place by the bed up to the very door. Esther crouched down to tug at his ears.
“Sorry, Bambi. We can’t have you bite any nobles now, even if they are mean,” she whispered and offered him some pets, more whimpers following… But her eyes were elsewhere.
“That’s been enough work for today,” Esther wished in a whisper, eyes cast down. Almost apologetically, her palm pressed against his heart. “Let it go until morning.”
His fingers hooked below her chin. Chevalier forced her to look at him.
“Will you?”
Something flickered over her face, tied her lips shut and had her avert her gaze. Esther stared at the collar of his shirt, at his neck, his Adam’s apple, dared to venture up to the corner of his jaw. But no further. Chevalier let his hand fall by his side.
“Will you help me out of my dress?” Esther asked.
Metal clinked against the wood as the candleholder came to rest atop the vanity. “Then sit.”
“It’d be more comfortable if —”
“Do not think I have not realised that your feet hurt.”
The mirror seemed to have harnessed the flame, diffused glow softly enveloping their reflections. Esther sat, her back straight and hands folded in her lap, face unusually – although openly – troubled. She sneaked a glimpse at herself, or whoever was wearing that disguise. Gloves fell on the table in front of her, goosebumps raising over her skin as decisive hands swept her hair aside. Blonde locks tumbled over her shoulder, rough fingers brushing against the nape of her neck, spilling lightning down the length of her spine… and so he began working on the lacing at her back, dexterous hands pulling and tugging at the silken ribbon, the complexities of various knots falling apart. Esther plucked the decorative pins out of her half updo, wayward curls rushing into her face. The jewels and precious metals she had worn returned to their casket. And he had done nothing to upset her. He had done nothing to betray her trust. He had not even said a word she could doubt… Chevalier merely dragged the fabric down, yanked at it so hard Esther could almost hear the seams groan. She looked up.
Esther could not resist the mirror anymore, and into the mirror she did fall, to be completely captured by her lover’s gaze. His thumb stroked her cheek, powder falling off to reveal faint freckles. Chevalier did not seem to want anything more, his touch fading too soon yet again, cold rushing in as if winter itself sharpened its icy teeth to sink them into her flesh and —
“Would you help me out of my corset too?”
Chevalier nodded. Slowly, like a tiger stalking his prey, he leaned down further. His breath spilled over her skin, so hot it melted away any frost. Esther sucked the air in sharply. He merely watched, the laces needing little prompting.
“If there’s something you want to say, say it,” Chevalier demanded from over her shoulder and her lips pursed in response. Esther stared as he smoothed her hair down with a gentle sort of awkwardness, usually reserved for terrified animals.
“I —” she hesitated. He just watched. As still as a statue, his eyes never once moved away from her reflection. Esther searched for the right words, articulated them as if tasting each for poison, “If… If people did not approach you with fear… would you still choose me, even knowing what trouble it would cause?”
Chevalier seized her by the chin, just short of causing her pain. He forced her to look at him, at him in the flesh and bones, and blood that had turned cold to then boil in his veins, rampant bewilderment leaving behind only scorched thoughts. His lips remained firmly sealed, yet… his grip loosened, apologetically. Esther put her hand over his.
“That’s a pointless hypothetical.” You know the answer.
“Is it?” She brought his hand away from her face, absent-mindedly tracing the lines over his palm with her thumb, soothing his callouses. She did not dare look away, did not dare weigh her words lightly and let go of the flicker moving over his face, the slither of truth she so needed for herself. “I can’t read minds the way you do, Chevalier.”
Esther did not shy from him, but he could not bear being seen. Certainty interlaced with hesitation, all his talents, his strength, knowledge and accomplishments fading away at one meagre question. Chevalier leaned down, touched his forehead to hers so that her eyes would close and his heart could pretend it was not exposed.
“Your fearlessness is not what makes you precious to me.”
Esther held back her breath.
“I do not require for your presence to be favourable to the state. To keep you by my side is just my selfish wish.”
She put her arms around his neck – and he hoisted her up, out of her gown and the riches, bared down just to the thin linen chemise and her freckled face. She was the trill of nightingales, the hard thudding of her heart chirping him a promise, assuring him that she’d stay.
“And you too are my beloved,” Esther whispered against his lips before claiming them as hers, the foreign lilt being replaced by another kind of melody.

made a new pjsk au drabble based on a twitter art i saw, heehee.
It's been ten years, ten years since he was forced into this room, this display case, this cage. He'd been kidnapped from his home forest when he was thirteen, but he didn't regret flying in to save Saki from the terrible fate he's living through right now. If you asked him if it was still worth it then he'd absolutely say yes no matter what.
But, he missed her, he missed his dearly beloved sister. He often wonders what she'd be doing, had she reunited with her friends outside of the forest? He could only hope so, hopefully Ichika, Shiho and Honami were looking after her. Maybe even Shizuku was looking after her as well. He could only hope, he could only dream.
But 'Trophies' do not get to dream, well, they aren't supposed to.
Tsukasa paced around his display case. Normally, he'd love the stage as he did when he was younger, but he despised the tiny stage in his case. Yes, it had been made for him, but he was to be silent and simply hold a pose whenever he was being observed. It was torture, he wanted to move, to act, to do anything. But Lady Asahina's rules were absolute, if she said something, then it would be. And he couldn't disobey less he wanted to be cracked apart and pieced back together.
He put a hand to his chest, and although it was covered, he could feel the pain from all the previous times he'd been cracked there. Sure, he was repaired, but it still hurt because there was no way these human's could properly repair him.
Tsukasa was a fairy, a crystal fairy. His body was made of a gemstone, bi-color tourmaline to be exact. His sister was the same, although she had internal fractures which made it difficult for her to use magic and fly. Unlike other fairies, crystal fairies didn't need wings to fly. And they were also very pretty, which caused those with greed in their hearts to target them.
And that's exactly why Tsukasa is in this display case, he's a trophy, and nothing more than that to the humans living here.
Well, there was one who saw him as something other than a trophy, but she was punished and forbidden from seeing him a while ago. It was nice to have someone he could talk to for once, even if it didn't last.
Tsukasa still paced around his cage, but froze once he heard the subtle creak of the window. That was odd, had it been open and a bird flew into it to make it move slightly? No, he would have heard a thump of some kind, right? Tsukasa cautiously yet fearfully looked around, his amber eyes landing on the open window in the far corner of the room. All of the people within the house were supposed to be asleep, so was this a break in? Did whoever this was come to steal him?
He saw a figure quickly and quietly leap through the window, his foot steps made not a single sound as his feet landed on the floor. " Alright, I'm in, now to just find out where they're keeping that Tourmaline..." Tsukasa could hear the figure mutter to himself, the moonlight briefly illuminating him to reveal purple hair with two blue streaks and glistening golden eyes that subtly reminded him of topaz.
Oh crap, he was after him. And by the looks of it, he was the phantom thief that Lady Asahina had mentioned the other day.
" That dastardly phantom thief appears to be targeting you next Lady Asahina." One of the nobles within the room said, Tsukasa couldn't help but overhear their conversation. " he could very well be after your prized Trophy."
" Oh? Is he now... I find that quite disappointing to be honest. Why be such an insolent thief when one could do something far more respectable and beneficial to our society?" Lady Asahina said in reply, But Tsukasa knew that the 'society' she was speaking of was just the nobility.
He didn't remember the rest of the conversation, but he immediately knew that this was the phantom thief, there was no doubt about it. He wanted to hide himself as much as he could, but he couldn't, there was nowhere to hide in this damned display case.
' What is he going to do to me?' Tsukasa wondered to himself fearfully. ' Is he going to sell me off? Cut me up and use me for jewelry? Or maybe something more horrible than that?!" It was safe to say that Tsukasa was incredibly panicked as the thief's eyes finally locked on to him.
First, he saw the thief's face shift into surprise, then horror, there was a brief flash of anger on his face before it melted away into concern. The thief's eyes scanned the room, as if looking for traps before he approached Tsukasa's display case.
" Are you alright..?"
The question was a surprise to Tsukasa, it was spoken ever so gently and filled with genuine concern. It was a genuine surprise to Tsukasa that someone would be so kind to him.
" You're a fairy, right? You're not supposed to be in a place like this..." The thief said, and Tsukasa could feel the rage boiling up beneath the surface of the thief's words. But it wasn't directed at him, it was likely directed at Lady Asahina.
Skillful and dexterous hands worked away the lock on the case, and one of the glass walls opened up. Freedom was in Tsukasa's grasp. The thief laid down a hand for Tsukasa to climb upon, a gentle smile and warmth in his eyes. " Come now, little one, I don't bite."
Tsukasa hesitated, what if this was some kind of trick to lure him into a false sense of security? but he took another look into those big, gentle, golden yellow eyes, he knew he could trust them. He took a cautious step onto the thief's fingers, making his way onto the thief's palm. Tsukasa let out a small yelp of surprise as the thief stood up properly, and slipped him into a pocket.
" Hold on tight," the thief advised him as Tsukasa stuck his head out of the pocket with a small huff and a pout. He wasn't ready for that just yet, and the thief let out a small giggle at Tsukasa's small pout. " Right then, let's go~!"
The thief quickly turned, and with a running start he jumped out the window and into the night. Skillfully leaping across buildings and roofs as if they were clouds, or... what was that word again? Trampolines? Yeah, Tsukasa thinks that's right. Soon enough they arrived at what seemed like a middle-class home, to which the thief quickly ducked through an open window and landed in the middle of a living room.
" Rui!" A sharp voice cut through the night's silence, and judging by how the thief froze up slightly then that was his name. " Did you have to leap through the window again? We have a door for a reason you know."
As Rui turned, Tsukasa saw a girl with long pale green hair. And judging by the scale imprints on her face, she was either a dragon or a mermaid in human form. Her violet eyes glared daggers at Rui, though she seemed more annoyed than anything. Tsukasa still leaned down further into Rui's pocket though.
" Oh Nene, but simply going through the door is awfully dull." Rui said with a pout. " You wouldn't want to deprive me of my nightly thrill, would you?"
" Yes, yes I would if it meant that you stopped coming in so loudly." Nene, the mermaid, retorted.
" Oh you're so harsh Nene..." Rui whined.
" Whatever, now did you successfully steal the jewel from the Asahina estate?" Nene asked with her hands on her hips. Rui put an awkward hand behind his head.
" Well... He isn't exactly a gemstone to be precise..." Rui said sheepishly, causing Nene to crook up an eyebrow in confusion.
" Don't tell me..." Nene began, her eyes slowly widening. " Was it a crystal fairy they had on display? Like Mizuki?" Nene asked, subtle horror in her eyes. Rui looked down, only nodding his head after checking up on Tsukasa.
" You're exactly right, It's sickening to think that some nobles are so corrupt that they keep what's essentially another human as some kind of pet or trophy." Tsukasa had to agree with Rui's words.
" So will you be taking them to Mizuki to see if they know this one?" Nene asked, to which Rui nodded. Tsukasa could faintly remember a Mizuki, he remembered that they were made from pearl as far as he was sure. He then realized with hope that he may be able to see his sister once again.
" I'll go tomorrow, Mizuki may not need sleep, but I unfortunately do." Rui said, beginning to head up to what Tsukasa could assume was his room.
And by god, it was a mess of unfinished gadgets and metal parts. Tsukasa was stunned that Rui could even navigate such a room without getting his foot pierce, the floor was like a death trap for feet. Rui then gently took Tsukasa out of his pocket and set him down on a table. " How are you feeling? Are you alright?" Rui asked him with a concerned tone.
" Y-yes!" Tsukasa replied, he hated how weak his voice sounded, he hadn't been able to use it in so long. " Much better now that I'm out of that dreadful case."
" Fufu~ You seem a lot more energetic now?" Rui said with a soft chuckle.
" You think? I was trapped there for ten years!" Tsukasa proclaimed, though he let out a small wince when he saw Rui's expression change to a mix of pity and horror.
" Ten years?" Rui muttered quietly in shock. " I'm terribly sorry that you had to suffer for so long."
" Don't feel so much pity for me Rui! I'm free now, and that's what matters, right?" Tsukasa said, taking the thief's gloved finger and holding it reassuringly. It hurt to remember those ten lonely years of his life, but he could put it behind him now.
" but still... Ten years... a decade of imprisonment..." Rui said, sympathy in his gaze.
" Hah! A decade is nothing to a crystal fairy such as myself!" Tsukasa said, it was a bit of a white lie. Those ten years felt like ten decades of loneliness to him. " You have nothing to worry about!"
" Alright..." Rui said, trailing off. he took off his hat and placed it over Tsukasa, who let out a sharp yelp of surprise. " Sorry little one, but I need to get changed. I wouldn't want you to see me in barely any clothes."
" Oh, my name's Tsukasa!" Tsukasa yelled out to Rui, and he could hear Rui let out a soft chuckle.
" What a wonderful name, Tsukasa-kun." Rui replied, lifting the hat off of Tsukasa so he could finally see. Rui was now dressed in a nightshirt and some boxers. He put the hat on a rack and rummaged through his desk shelves, taking out an empty matchbox before getting some cotton and a piece of cloth. Combining the three into a makeshift bed.
" It's not much, but it'll do for the night." Rui said.
" Thank you, Rui, you have my never-ending gratitude." Tsukasa said, bowing to the human before settling into the makeshift matchbox bed Rui supplied him with. He didn't really need sleep, but it was a nice comfort and distraction from his thoughts.
" You're welcome. We'll go se Mizuki in the morning, they'll be able to find out where you're from." Rui said, settling into his own bed. " Goodnight Tsukasa-kun." Rui said with a sleepy yawn, turning off the lights with a clap of his hand.

I did it with ATLA, figured why not do it with PRSK? Here's a random assortment of AUs I probably won't do anything with:
Cinderella AU. This can go one of two ways: Toya and/or Mafuyu is Cinderella. I'm thinking masked ball to further hide their identities from their respective Prince/Princess aka Akito/Kanade. We follow the story of Cinderella almost to a T. Almost. Neither of them have an evil STEP-parent. Just an evil parent. Toya's brothers can be his evil brothers, but as a single child, we gotta give Mafuyu siblings. Or we can diverge from the story and make it so her mom won't take Mafuyu to the ball, even after she's done everything she's been asked (ordered) to do. Mizuki would be Mafuyu's Fairy Godmother and Tsukasa would be Toya's. Because I think it'd be a neat idea for their Fairy Godmother to just be someone they know and not actually a fairy. This is the rough idea, things need to be worked on, but yeah :D
Fantasy, Arranged Marriage AU (follows the White Day cards roughly). Lady Asahina, Queen of her kingdom (I actually had names for the three kingdoms but forgot them, oops) wants to arrange a marriage between her kingdom and the neighboring two. Not so much to unite them, but as a show of control. She plans for her daughter, Mafuyu, to marry the son of King Harumichi, while she's ordering one of her subjects, a sorcerer named Rui Kamishiro, to marry a noble's daughter. The noble is said to be a sickly girl named Saki who was recuperating from her illness, but would be in perfect health in time for the wedding. She is the first to arrive with her brother and his fellow knights. Lady Asahina has her daughter show her around, stating it would be good practice for whenever she hosted grand balls and tea times. Rui, would eventually take Saki to his room and leave her brother and his fellow knights behind to enjoy tea with Mafuyu and her two ladies in waiting: Honami and Shizuku. Upon them leaving, Saki's brother breaks down into tears and that's when the truth is revealed. The person who left with Rui wasn't Saki. Saki was sitting in the room with them. The person who left with them? Her older brother, Tsukasa, who vowed to help her walk free and take her place as Kamishiro's wife, so she could go home and marry her love, a musician named Ichika.
Intruder Alert aka Unexpected (and unwanted) Guests in the SEKAIs: Basically, their parents/siblings find out about the SEKAIs. Mafuyu's finds out because she's a nosy little bitch. Ena's dad finds out because he's also a nosy little bitch but in the sense that he wasn't actually trying to find things, he just comes across them. Mizuki's sister finds out because her girlfriend, Hinata, told her about the Untitled Song in her little sister's phone, and how she was curious what it was and when she went to listen to it, she found herself in a new world. She was back in her sister's room so fast she can't help but wonder if she was imagining things. Ken finds out because An accidentally took him with her (she was in a rush and didn't see him come up behind her until it was too late). He gets along with MEIKO tho, so that's a plus. And so on and so forth.
Unit Shuffle AU: Self explanatory, tempted to make one, but not sure if I ever will (:
Fairy AU: The idea for this is that everyone is a fairy (obviously). Each Unit is a different type of fairy (kinda like the ones from Pixie Hollow). L/n are fairies who help people remember fond memories, moments that made them happy or feel loved, they tend to work with everyone but usually just with each other. MMJ are fairies of hope. Their job is to help people go forwards and not give up. VBS are fairies of ambition. They help people push forward and fight for their dreams and goals. Because of this, they often work with MMJ. WxS are dream fairies. Not "my dream is to become this or that," like dreams you get when you sleep. They mainly work with children, helping them get to sleep and comforting them whenever they have nightmares. 25ji are sorrow fairies. They take care of people who've been hurt, are hurting and need someone to care. They help people cry and ask for help. If they ever need to help a child, someone from or all of WxS will help them. Fairies can be seen by the human eye and there is a law that bans fairies being traded or sold. They can't be kept as pets or toys. Do with that as you will.
Well...This Was a Nice (?) Reunion: Toya's family is holding a reunion. It's been years since the last one and he's changed a lot. He honestly doesn't want to go but he can't get out of it. He thinks he might enjoy it when he finds out they'll spend a few hours at Phoenix Wonderland, maybe he can see his older brother and his troupe mates perform a show. Things turn sour rather quickly and Toya uses the moment his dad and aunt start arguing to sneak away. Hopefully WxS will let him hide backstage.
We've Met Before: Sometimes we don't always remember the first time we've actually met someone. This is meant to be moreso a series of small stories where characters are told about times they've met one another before they first met one another (meaning the actual first time was forgotten). Kanade is visiting her father in the hospital when Tsukasa and Saki leave said hospital. A nurse tells her about the time she'd sat with Tsukasa as they both waited to be told about their loved ones condition. When VBS is together at Weekend Garage, Ken tells them about the first time An and Toya actually met. The boy had runaway from home and rather than go where he'd normally go, he ended up at WG. An had spent several hours talking to him before he left. Etc., etc., etc.

If there is one thing Ichika learned about Lady Saki's tea parties, it is that one must always bring a plate of pastries as a gift.
"Oh! These are quite delicious! I urge you to tell me where you've bought these beloved cookies, Icchan!"
Even the blend of milk cannot dampen the sweet flavor that melts in Lady Saki's mouth as she cups the side of her cheek, munching on the treat gleefully.
Ichika stares at her cute expression fondly. "I just happened to read a recipe, is all. Although I couldn't have done everything without a friend's help." It was a miracle that Honami had the patience to guide her through each step without catching fire from her recklessness.
"Well," Lady Saki gulps from her teacup before continuing, "I think you did quite well, even if you think you couldn't without help. But, I would have liked it more if you invited me."
Inviting a noble lady, regardless of whether they're close friends or not, is too much of a shameless act to do.
"Ah... It might have been presumptuous to ask—"
"Nonsense!" The plates clatter from the lady's harsh impact on the table. "I cherish your company more than boring, old lectures. After all, Icchan is the bestest friend I could have! Cooking together is what friends do, is it not?"
"Y-Yes," Ichika stammers, feeling warmth crawling up her cheeks, "but it is still your duty to study as the duke's daughter and I would be disturbing you with my unimportant business."
Lady Saki's lips press into a thin line. "Even so, I want to spend time with you. And–and it makes me a little jealous that someone helped you cook other than me..." She admits in a shy whisper.
And doesn't that melt Ichika's heart even further. "My lady," she is given a pointed stare and she rectifies, "Saki, I would never replace your company with someone else's but as your personal guard, I must also prioritize your duties as an heiress." And your safety, she keeps to herself as she knows it will only upset her even more.
The title paired with her words deflates Lady Saki's resolve. It has been years since her brother's disappearance after the accident and months since she's been issued the duties in preparation for taking the family's mantle as duchess. The absence in their home has only made her clingier with each day that passes.
Ichika can only help her with so much, even if it means bringing cookies to their tea parties through her incredibly amateur culinary skills. "But I do have a secret."
"Secret?"
She smiles. "Yes. I also happened to hear that a particular tutor has taken an illness and that there might be a few vacant hours in place of someone's sessions. That's why, if it's no problem for Saki, would you..."
"Of course!" Expectedly, Lady Saki brightens as she clutches on her sleeves, rejuvenated. "We can also have a picnic by the fountain! I'll have the maids prepare everything, we can also play a couple of games and redecorate the gardens with ribbons and–"
"How about we plan it slowly, Saki?" She intervenes gently, knowing full well how passionate Lady Saki's tangents can be.
"Right, right. Let me grab some pen and paper from my bedroom." She says as she picks up her dress, already on her heels to run across the mansion's hallways.
"Calmly, Saki. Here," Ichika offers her arm, "allow me to accompany you."
A delightful giggle bursts from her friend's lips then she feels a gloved hand slide in place with her arm. Lady Saki turns a starry gaze at her.
"Shall we go, Ichika?"
Ichika complies with a content nod. At least this way she can alleviate enough of the worries and responsibilities Saki endures everyday. She can merely hope that everything will turn out well for both of their futures.
Of course, as life always is, it all goes downhill.
"Duke and Duchess Tenma have been assassinated. Young Lord Tsukasa remains missing and Lady Saki has not left her room for a week. What should we do, Hoshino-san?"

I saw your post about a Shizuku fantasy AU and I had Thoughts... What if Shizuku was a witch as a child but then she was accepted into the nobility as a teenager bc of her good looks, but she had to hide her witchcraft to be accepted among the nobles? Eventually, she could leave, becoming known as a dangerous outlaw witch because she'd "infiltrated" the nobility.
Oh my god... YOU ARE SO GODDAMM SMART. I'm saying that because this even fits with Tsukasa,Saki, and Shiho's lore?! DID YOU READ MY MIND YOU GENIUS???
I love this idea sm.
Is there any way I could give you credit? I'm obviously not going to say this was my idea, but still. If you don't want to tell me who you are that's fine, but I'll still credit you! (Like, saying this wasn't my idea and it was some else's)
