can you tell me the timeline of twisted wonderland I know the game timeline started in September or august now the timeline is january or febary
Tumblr media
The timeline for the main story is as follows:
Prologue - Based on book 1’s timing, probably very late August or very early September.
Book 1 - Crewel states that start of the school year is in September; other students like Cater drop hints that the new students are still getting acclimated to the routine of school. The light novel is even more specific; the OB fight is stated to happen within the first week of school.
Book 2 - Crowley states that the interdorm spelldrive/magift tournament takes place in October.
Book 3 - Final exams of the fall semester are mentioned, so this is before winter break. Most likely occurs in November.
Book 4 - Begins on the last day of the fall semester and continues through winter break (late December) and into the new year (January). This is pretty explicitly stated in various characters’ dialogue (Jamil, Crowley, Ramshackle Ghosts, Lilia, Octavinelle, etc.) or by in-game omnipotent narration.
Book 5 - Begins in the new year (January) and factoring in ~1 months’ worth of training, we end book 5 in mid-February, when VDC/SDC takes place. Mid-February is explicitly mentioned by Crewel.
Book 6 - Takes place literally a few days after book 5, so presumably still in February. Idia states that 5 Overblots (not counting himself) occurred in less than 6 months.
Book 7 - Estimated to be in March due to a variety of factors. It must be spring because Yuu is surprised to see (Malleus’s magically produced) snow when wandering outside of Ramshackle + says “I thought it’s supposed to be spring.” The interscholastic spelldrive/magift tournament takes place in May, but presumably has not occurred yet + Silver states his birthday (May 15) is still “a little ways away”. Assuming NRC has a spring break in April or mid/late March, it must not have happened yet because 1) no students mention a break and 2) the third years would need to apply for their internships early in the semester to allow time for their paperwork to be processed and to do additional tests and interviews. Lilia does say at his farewell party that a full 6 months have passed since the start of the school year; he would have said 7 if it was April.
I have added this information (or at least a link to it) in my pinned post, which already contains a FAQ section. I highly recommend to my readers to look at the FAQ first before sending in their question(s), as there is a good chance that your question may have already been answered there. Any questions that are repeats of the ones shown in the FAQ will go ignored/unanswered moving forward.

Quotes in the No. 6 novels that had me reeling from their sheer level of intensity and yearning (aka my favourite lines)-
"This is where my heart is. I was human when my heart was stolen by him, and I was human when I longed to be by his side. And this fact won't change, no matter what name I give to these feelings."
"Why won’t you come home? Why aren’t you beside me? I just want to look into your eyes and see that I am me, that I can continue to be who I am. They are my only anchor."
"I’ll be waiting. No matter how many years pass, no matter how old I get, I’ll be waiting here for you. The wandering star and the fixed one. Someday our paths will cross again. When that happens, I’m not going to sit quietly and let you go. I’ll be waiting for you."
"It’s not friendship, not merely a deep affection even—nor is it simply romantic attraction or respect or caring. It is a deep and powerful love for someone dear to him."
“You called me, and I listened. I reached out, and you caught my arm. I opened the window so I could meet you."
"No one is greedier than I am. I’m sure no one desires another as strongly as I do."
"It's been four years, and I still have neither skill nor the heart to push this body aside."
"I'm drawn to you. A lot. That's why I want to stay here. I want to see what you see, eat what you eat, and breathe the same air as you."
"Have you noticed? No matter how dark or blindingly bright it is, I'm never led astray―my eyes always find yours."
"If I lost you here, right now, I wouldn't be able to stay sane. I would go mad. The world would turn upside-down."
"I'm probably more afraid to lose you than anyone―anybody else. I'm so scared, it's unbearable. I want to make sure you'll never disappear from my side. I don't care if you ridicule me, or sneer at me―these are my real feelings." It was none other than a straightforward and simple confession of love. I can't live without another―without you.
The emotionless voice became a frigid wind that wrapped around Shion's body. With his sense of pain, his fear, and his pride whipped away, for an instant, Shion was empty. Like a cicada shedding its skin, he became a hollow cavern that left only its outward appearance intact. He sometimes had this sensation when listening to Nezumi's voice. He didn't mind it much. In fact, it even felt refreshing. Exhilarating, even, to become empty.
I'll never leave you. I'll sink my teeth in, and latch on no matter where you go. He would never lose sight of that back turned to him. He would crawl across the ground to follow him if he had to. That was the only thing in his mind.
Invited along by Nezumi's voice, Shion had smiled, and seen the sky. It was that deepest hue of blue he had seen, lying in the grassy field. The colour of the heavens was spreading across the darkness. True, this world was ridden with brutality and falseness. Indeed, it was rife with it. But that wasn't the only thing that existed. Because, look―in this world, and in people's souls, there definitely existed beautiful things like the blue of the lofty skies. Nezumi's voice became a bubbling spring that quenched Shion's body and filled him to the brim. It was a strange voice. It melted the soul, and regenerated people to life.
He felt like he was being wrapped in an elegant grey cloth. The core of his body pulsated. All the thoughts that had been swirling around in his head came to a full stop. A moment of pleasure. It was strange. Just the kind of light in Nezumi's eyes was enough to make him feel like he was being pushed away or being embraced.
Curiosity. No, it wasn't such a casual feeling; it was a deep-rooted desire. It roved in circles deep inside his chest. It was intrigue towards a world his imagination could not render. Interest in the unknown. And more than anything... it was the expectation that he could acquire some piece of knowledge that had to do with Nezumi. His soul was stirring restlessly. It stirred from wanting to know, and not for anyone else but himself.
Nezumi was almost like a deep forest. No matter how far he waded in, he could never gaze out over its entirety. Here, clumps of flowers bloomed; here, a bowed branch bore fruits. Here, a spring gushed forth, and he could hear the gentle sound of its flow. He had definitely seen these various scenes, but they were mere parts of the deep, vast forest. Perhaps he would emerge from the dense trees to be faced with a sheer cliff. Perhaps there lurked man-eating beasts. Perhaps a scene totally unknown to him would stretch before his eyes. He didn't know. No matter how far he waded in, Nezumi never revealed his entirety to him. The further he waded in, the more unfathomable it got. I've wandered and gotten lost in an endless forest. I'm drifting, a tangle of throbbing pain and dreamy ecstasy.
" I've gone against what you've told me. I've sighed many times for another. I believed him, and opened my heart to him. I placed the shackles around my own feet. But I couldn't have done otherwise. I couldn't cut him away."
"I came to know what it was like for my heart to feel moved for someone, to yearn strongly for someone. I can't go back to when I didn't know. I don't want to go back. I would never want to go back to when I lived peacefully, knowing nothing."
"And above all, I have to tell you about Nezumi. I want you to know about him. Four years ago on a stormy night, I met him. Ever since then, I feel like I've been captured by him. When I'm with him, I lose sight of myself. No, that's not it. I'm illuminated vividly. Maybe I'm blinded for an instant because that light is so bright. That's how much my vision had deteriorated. It was so weak, I couldn't even discern myself, my surroundings, or the truth. Safu, his―Nezumi's gaze and words pierce me. They shoot through me, batter me, and save me. By his hands, I was melted, wrought anew, and instilled with new life."
"There's no way you can't hear me. There's no way my voice won't reach you. No matter when or what situation, you always caught my words firmly, You heard me through the noise, you grasped my words, and you answered me. You came back to me. This time, I'm going to bring you back. I'll take you back by force."
"The wind was howling. The flame was flickering. And I desperately wanted to hear you recite that line. I don't know why. Maybe I just wanted to lend my ears to your voice, and immerse myself in your breathing. As I listened to Macbeth tread the path to destruction, I felt elevated; I was fulfilled."
"You called to me. I heard that voice―your voice―calling me. It ducked through the wind, tore through the rain, and came to me. You called me, and I was called by you. That's why I opened the window. I flung it open wide to the outdoors. I extended my arms in search of you. You called me, and I listened. I reached out, and you caught my arm. I opened the window so I could meet you. That's our truth, Nezumi."
"Going to Hell doesn't seem so bad when it's with you."
"The fight would still continue tomorrow. But if I lost Nezumi, if I had to face a tomorrow without him, then I wouldn't be able to remain a soldier. You're weak. Unbelievably frail, he could hear Nezumi say in derision. Laugh at me, Nezumi. Look on me with contempt. Make fun of me. Give me a scornful laugh, a cold laugh. I just want to hear your laughter. Let me hear it, please."
"To me, you were more of a miracle than the Forest God ever was. I felt like I was being told to live―to live on, not give up.... If you hadn't been there, I wouldn't have been able to survive that night. Shion, you―only you―were the one who saved me. This time, too."
"The world means nothing to me without you. Nothing."
"He's more dangerous, troublesome, strong, and beautiful than anyone else in the world."
Nezumi's gazed pierced through him. Those grey eyes gave Shion the impression that they knew everything. He wondered why every time he was held by this gaze, he felt a shiver of bliss rather than pain.
"I'm alive and waiting for you. Even in those hellish surroundings, I was drawn to your eyes, your words, your gestures, your thoughts―and they supported me. Thanks to them, I was able to survive. And right now, I'm still alive."

Ok I got this reply about how we actually know so little about Arnold despite how much we've learned about him by @wondering-lazer and I would like to thank them because now I get to rant about this (I tried to reply but there was too much I wanted to say so I'm just making it a post)
Arnold is the most interesting character in the novel for me.
The way he is written is actually so freaking interesting because the story is from Rishe's pov most of the time so even if Arnold is being honest with her we only learn about the things he's willing to tell her. We slowly learn about him (the past with his father and siblings, the truth about his mother) and about his plans (or more like the plans he has for each arc), only because those are the things he decides to be open about with Rishe.
In truth Arnold is still an enigma. We know he loves Rishe it's obvious, but why did he fall for her so quickly because I simply will never believe Arnold can be reduced to the "She's interesting" trope. I am a firm "Arnold remembers the loops" believer so that would make sense but he never interacted much with Rishe in all the past loops so still, him falling for her so fast doesn't make sense. (actually I have a whole other theory about this but I need to finish vol 6 first to see if I learn anything new before I post that)
Also we know Arnold is not a great guy™, like sure he's the best and we love him, and he is genuinely a good guy, but he can be every bit of a villain he claims he is. We still don't know what pushed him to actually stage a coup and kill 7tlhis very evil psychotic maniac of a DNA donor which richly deserved it, but most importantly why he started to stage war in all those different kingdoms.
But he did stage war and he did kill thousands and even now he has show moments of the same kind of cruelty as the Emperor Arnold Hein of the past. Just as Rishe has deemed, we need to find the actual reason why Arnold finally snapped in the past loops to actually fully understand Arnold.
And still there are so many things left unanswered. What are his future goals now that Rishe has intervened? What has he asked Raul to look for in secret and keeping it hidden from Rishe? Does he actually remember the past loops?
There is still so much we have yet to learn about him, the things we know are just the tip of the iceberg and the day we finally get the full Arnold lore is the day I will sleep in peace.

Do the Minizai's and Dazai's No Longer Human nullify each other?
Might be funny, Chuuya would make Dazai levitate when he's annoying him
I'm not arguing with the funny part (actually Chuuya might be able to pull something like that even with NLH there, depending on how Dazai's ability actually interacts with it), but if they nullified each other they would no longer be nullifying each other. We would have a paradox on our hands. That would mean a singularity... or maybe nothing happens.
Tumblr media
Singularities are rare. Most of the time, one ability will win over the other. Sometimes, nothing will happen. Hirotsu's Falling Camellia, to push back anything he touches, can beat Chuuya and Verlaine's abilities. It's not a singularity.
Not all singularities are earth-shattering. Oda and Gide's let them have an entire conversation in a fraction of a second. According to BEAST, Akutgawa and Atsushi's black claws combo is a singularity.
Dazai is living his life every day seemingly free of singularities, unafraid of contact with his own skin. Even if touching another nullifier would indeed create a paradox, my tinies are fantastical little creatures that are a sort of extension of the big ones, so my answer is a big "nothing different happens"
Now, on another note, to keep things fun we also have these:
Tumblr media
It's still very possible for Dazai's ability to create a singularity, like anyone else, provided it's put in the right context. With BEAST, it's that their world exists inside of an ability (paradox); in Dead Apple, the abilities were separated from their hosts, so the conditions were special.
For my part, unless I have a plot point centred around said potential singularity, I'm not gonna touch those. Everyone else, go wild. I'm not even sure I've ever read a fanfic that was playing with singularities, that's a still brand new sandbox to play in. And singularities have been a known thing since Dark Era!
Everyone go come up a singularity right now. We have time to make up for.

Hi Miss Raven! Wanted to ask if you knew why Sebek calls everyone human even though human beastmen fae and merpeople are all referred to as different races? I think Lilia and Malleus also call all the non-fae races humans too so is it just how fae categorize races as "us vs them"? Thank you!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, I do believe that fae tend to refer to other races as "human". This may stem from fae being a very isolated and exclusionary group compared to other races and/or general fae arrogance. However, I also think it's possible that they use "human" as a catch-all or even substitute for "mortal" or something similar. This is because (at the end of book 6), Malleus and Lilia have an exchange which implies that all other races have significantly shorter life spans than fae do, hence why, at least to fae, they see the world as "us" (fae/long-lived) and "them" (humans/short-lived):
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yuurei-san actually has an excellent post on this topic which compiles many examples of Malleus, Lilia, and Sebek using "human" to refer to all non-fae races. You should definitely check it out! ^^
Update: In the light novel, Ace says, “Here, we call everybody human - merfolk, beast people, and people like us, too.” Fae are not included in his wording.

Ankh-Morpork, largest city in the lands around the Circle Sea, slept.
That statement is not really true.
On the one hand, those parts of the city which normally concerned themselves with, for example, selling vegetables, shoeing horses, carving exquisite small jade ornaments, changing money and making tables, on the whole, slept. Unless they had insomnia. Or had got up in the night, as it might be, to go to the lavatory. On the other hand, many of the less law-abiding citizens were wide awake and, for instance, climbing through windows that didn’t, belong to them, slitting throats, mugging one another, listening to loud music in smoky cellars and generally having a lot more fun. But most of the animals were asleep, except for the rats. And the bats, too, of course. As far as the insects were concerned…
The point is that descriptive writing is very rarely entirely accurate and during the reign of Olaf Quimby II as Patrician of Ankh some legislation was passed in a determined attempt to put a stop to this sort of thing and introduce some honesty into reporting. Thus, if a legend said of a notable hero that "all men spoke of his prowess" any bard who valued his life would add hastily add "except for a couple of people in his home village who thought he was a liar, and quite a lot of other people who had never really heard of him." Poetic simile was strictly limited to statements like "his mighty steed was as fleet as the wind on a fairly calm day, say about Force Three," and any loose talk about a beloved having a face that launched a thousand ships would have to be backed by evidence that the object of desire did indeed look like a bottle of champagne.
Quimby was eventually killed by a disgruntled poet during an experiment conducted in the palace grounds to prove the disputed accuracy of the proverb "The pen is mightier than the sword," and in his memory it was amended to include the phrase "only if the sword is very small and the pen is very sharp."
So. Approximately sixty-seven, maybe sixty-eight per cent, of the city slept.
— The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett
