i know a lot of people have talked about curly on here and how he's an enabler-- it's not something new. i'm sure a lot of ppl on here have seen all the analyses of it: the nuanced levels of curly's character that does not make him in any way deserving of being utterly fucked over in the crash and by jimbozo, nor makes him completely innocent in enabling jimmy, letting the crash happen, and not helping anya.

but the minute i step onto other platforms, some people are really convinced of curly's innocence. it's not even people being like "what SA? there was SA?" oblivious and not knowing the story. it's like people who obviously tracked most of the main story but are still finding ways to excuse curly.

under media related to curly and anya's canon events there's always, always a top comment that says something like: jimmy failed anya fr and then a reply under that is actually pretty upvoted saying how did he fail her tho? he couldn't have done anything more because of xyz

and then i just have to sit there like... isn't this the exact mindset the game was trying to call out?

anyways, i've seen many main arguments in defense of curly not being an enabler, and it's just... there was definitely more he could have done no matter what. it was a difficult situation for sure, especially because of pony express being a shitty company, because of them being trapped on a ship, and yeah maybe curly was trying his best, but that doesn't make him free of all guilt.

also, it's literally built into so many analogies/subtext/whatever in the game. the dead pixel. the "i told you". the "i can fix it." i feel like there might be more I just can't think of it. maybe not. it's clearly a point the devs were trying to make, right?

there's also the added context of wrong organ's other game. which less people probably know-- understandably. but still. i think you can gather from the mouthwashing game alone that curly was really too believing in jimmy.

i have never ever argued with anyone in fandoms on the internet before, but mouthwashing just kinda brought it out of me i suppose. but then i feel like when i say these things it makes me look like a curly hater. i'm not! the only one we really really hate here is jimjamtamborine. curly seemed like a genuinely good guy, not evil at all, but he was a bit too good when it came to jimmy.

Jonathan Majors Reportedly Backs Out of Met Gala As Hollywood Friends Turn ‘Cold’

Jonathan Majors is taking a step back from the spotlight amid his ongoing domestic abuse scandal.

According to a new report, his Hollywood friends have distanced themselves.

via Page Six:

“It’s no surprise that his phone is ringing much less these days. That is what happens in all walks of life — but especially in Hollywood. Friends turn cold,” a source told Page Six.

The star, 33, was dropped by talent management firm Entertainment 360, and high-powered p.r. firm, the Lede Company, also took a hiatus from working with the actor.

Majors will also no longer be attendingfashion’s biggest night, the Met Gala, on May 1 after it was “mutually agreed” upon with fashion house Valentino that he would not attend.

“This could not have happened at a more worse time [for his career],” said a source, noting that Majors’ latest film, “‘Creed III,” came out March 3, after another high-profile hit, “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” in February.

Added the source: “You can’t deny that the man is a talented actor, but right now he has to reassess and gather a whole new team.”

The best thing for Jonathan to do right now is to lay low.
