I just tried kimchi ramen and it’s really good so I wanna eat it again sometime. But it’s so spicy and I have the spice tolerance and an extra fluffy marshmallow so I can’t stand it. But it’s so good I ate it. Like. Build spice tolerance how? Because I’m not good at it lol.

Bruce is the only member of the batfam that has no tolerance for spice. Dick grew up in a travelling circus, he has had food from all over the world. Jason grew up on the street, he ate what he could get. Tim's parents went all around the world, and had food and recipes from all around the world, whenever they were home Janet would make exotic meals. Damian grew up with Talia, he grew up on middle eastern food. But Bruce? He grew up on Alfred's British ass cooking, he thinks pepper has 'a little kick'.

Here’s how I would rank the Bad Batch and their level of spice tolerance

1. Wrecker - Spice king. Will purposefully make his food spicy to add flavor or order a spicy dish. Real champ.

2. Omega - Close second. Likes dishes that are specifically made to be spicy, ie Gregor’s specialty (with a few of Fireball’s spicy modifications) and chili.

3. Crosshair - Likes spicy food and will eat it if he so pleases. Unfortunately….. as per usual… his stomach is not a fan and he gets a TERRIBLE tummy ache

4. Echo - He always gets nervous about trying foods described as spicy (this may or may not have stemmed from an accident involving “Silly me! I must’ve read the amount wrong.” Yes that was Fives.) He’ll cautiously try it and 60% of the time he’s said it wasn’t that bad

5. Tech - Prefers his food not to be spicy because he thinks the burning sensation on his tongue takes away from the main flavor of the dish. Isn’t afraid to express this preference either

6. Hunter - Due to his enhanced taste and smell, it always burns his tastebuds and nostrils pretty bad. He tries to take it like a champ but his eyes will water. Omega has asked him many times if he was crying (he may have been). I have a feeling he wants to like it but physically cannot have it

indeed, you have finished every drop of curry. but you've also downed around 12 cups of water, and the burning in your mouth is still unrelenting. jamil visibly looks concerned with how much water you're drinking and it's unavoidable you address your non-existent spice tolerance.

Worst part of the l4j AU is that not one of them can cook and Greez has probably died of old age so like. Do they survive off turbo dogs and space frozen pizza?

I THINK GREEZ COULD STILL BE KICKING!! but yeah Cal absolutely can't cook for shit, Ahsoka was apprenticed to Anakin "canonically eats bugs" Skywalker, and Ezra survived being a street rat from ages 7-14, either ate well or like shit on the ghost, then ate whatever on Peridea, so also has no cooking skills or frame of reference for decent food

I bet Beru taught Luke how to cook, but unfortunately he cooks Tatooine food which is probably the spiciest shit in the galaxy so while it's perfectly edible to him, it could kill someone with a low spice tolerance

I honestly think it's funniest if it's Franziska who can't handle spice because she would never admit that ever. Her face would be turning all sorts of colors and her nose would be running but she'd still insist she's absolutely fine (she's not)
