Kara wanders into the first class not really expecting to find anything.

Clark had come to her, telling her he’d heard something he was sure was Kryptonian, but couldn’t quite parse it. He’d garbled the pronunciation along with the syntax, but still pulled a startled laugh from her

Because that? That certainly wasn’t the Kryptonian Clark spoke, formal and slightly clinical. Kara was pretty sure Clark didn’t understand half the swears, and was mildly surprised he’d pinged it as Kryptonian at all

But it probably wasn’t. There were only so many phonemes, and Kara had had that painful experience often enough; a phrase in a language that sounded just too close to home, but always meant something else here

Clark had pulled out the university directories though, pointing to a series of classes on Alien Cultures from the same building. And then he told her he couldn’t be the one to check it out

He wouldn’t Know like she would. Wouldn’t be able to tell if this was on the level, and didn’t want to get his (or his sons’) hopes up in case it wasn’t

He needed her to go. To tell him if it was any good. And Kara knew damn well what he was doing.

Making it seem like she was doing him a favour, so she didn’t have to go for herself.

Jon was a better manipulator when he was two years old, but Clark wouldn’t ever think of it that way. He thought he was being kind

She made herself annoyed about it anyway to keep the hope from slipping in.

She’d even come early, hoping to get a look at the professor before things begun, and was mildly disappointed when the man himself ran in a grand total of ten seconds before class began

For all he’d pass for Clark in a heavy fog (tall, broad shoulders, black hair and blue eyes) he was so visibly, painfully human. Even if his heartbeat was a little slow

It would have been so nice to find another Kryptonian. Just one other person who remembered their home world. But this was probably nothing, she reminded herself, settling in and missing most of his introduction as she fell into a funk

And was violently snapped out of it by a short, sharp phrase she’d never thought she’d hear again. Fast, easy slang, and then the grinning man translated it to English, and picked some modern slang to match

Kara herself probably wouldn’t have translated it to “have you considered getting good”, but the snickering of the students around her suggested this guy was bang on

The sense of kinship, of being able to share the meaning of a phrase from her home with a whole room of young adults was… well. She hadn’t felt anything like it

And the young professor, Fenton on her hastily checked schedule, kept going

He had sketches of buildings from so far away that the light of their destruction hadn’t even reached Earth. Different architecture styles that would never be built again

He had art, and not just the museum images that had been saved for Kal, there was graffiti, posters, recordings of songs (the quality wasn’t great but Kara couldn’t have cared less)

He had her home, the world she remembered, fashions from the highest class down to the casual daywear most of the population wore

Kara found herself blushing as she remembered the various “alt” styles her preteen self had gone through before deciding on her own. Before she’d been sent where she wouldn’t see any of it again

But it was here now

Kara didn’t realize she’d started crying until the boy next to her pushed a box of tissues across, and she almost asked him why

Superman wasn’t mentioned once

And Kara loved Clark, she did, but the way every conversation about her home, about her culture always turned to him, the cousin she could never share it with…

And she knew it was because this was his home. These were his people, and he was the logical touchstone for any of them.

That didn’t lessen the ache, only noticeable now that it was soothed

Someone asked, of course, at the very end where Professor Fenton - Danny, he corrected one student, with an awkward blush that made her realize how young he was - was taking questions

“What about Superman?”

Danny gave the girl a kind smile, tapping the screen that still showed his last slide

“These lessons are about Krypton, not Kryptonians on Earth. They’ve already had to learn and adapt to an alien culture, so it’s only fair we learn about theirs in return.”

A gentle reprimand, and reminded Kara of something else. The course wasn’t all Kryptonian, but it got a good chunk. Three weeks, six lessons in total, and she would come to all of them

Woe betide any alien invasion or jumped up supervillain that tried to get in her way

The next class would be about food, and Danny was promising to bring in the closest approximations he could to some of the popular foods from the major cities

Street food. Gods it didn’t matter if it was even anything Kara had had before, had ever liked, she would come for all of it

She’d never realized how much she had missed the gritty, day to day parts of home

Kal had fine art, music from great composers, all kinds of videos tucked away to show him his world, but that wasn’t what Kara had lived

She’d just been a kid, a stupid teenager, taking things for granted until she could never have them again

But now… she might

Danny was also offering adjusted recipes for anyone who wanted to try and help him turn the next class into a potluck

Kara didn’t join the rush to the front, students grabbing eagerly for printed recipe booklets, or the steady flow of students leaving the hall

She just sat, breathing slowly and deeply and working her way back to some kind of composure

She couldn’t trust herself to move without breaking something, to speak without shaking, and the professor had almost finished packing up by the time she trusted herself to try

And then he had paused at the end of her row, a gentle, sad smile on his face

“It can be an emotional topic. Realizing just how much was lost,” he said softly, without judgement

He couldn’t know who she was

Did students often cry in this class? Did other people cry for the world, the cultures, the people, all of them now long dead?

Gods Kara hoped so

It was too much to bear alone

She stood carefully, holding out a hand to shake

“Kara Zor-El.”

She watched Danny’s eyes widen, the moment of surprise, and her heart ached. He didn’t recognize her, not herself, but her name… he recognized the Kryptonian

It felt like such a stupid thing to miss, but remembering that there had once been a whole world, so many more people like her that she could never know all their names…

He took her hand gently, almost tenderly, like he was afraid he might break her and Kara almost laughed

“I am so sorry, Kara Zor-El,” he told her softly, and she believed him. That he might actually, truly know the weight of her loss

Even if it wasn’t his too, there was someone else who had seen Krypton, seen its people, and knew they were worth remembering

“It was a wonderful lecture,” she said quietly, and normally the raw emotion in her voice would have embarrassed her, but she just didn’t have it in her to care

Danny beamed at the praise, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. Barest pressure, like she couldn’t crush his bones to dust by accident. Like she was actually as close to crumbling as she felt

“That means more from you than anyone in the world,” he told her sincerely, and she laughed at that. And then he added, “will you be back Thursday?”

She nodded immediately, no matter what else was on her schedule, it could wait. Then she paused.

“I will. I… might bring my cousin. I don’t know if we’ll say anything…” she trailed off, not sure what to say, but Danny was already nodding, diving into his bag

She’d barely noticed he was still holding her hand until it was cold with his absence, but then he pushed a handful of paper into her hand

“No obligation of course, for either of you, but… well, you may like this. Some of the early drafts from my cook weren’t exactly safe for human consumption, and we did have to make some substitutions, but I have a friend in Botany who’s been having real success with some of the Kryptonian and Tamaranean spices, so… that’s the more authentic version.”

He was rocking back and forth on his feet, and Kara just. Stared at him. For a long moment.

Then glanced down at the pages in her hand, and stared at him all over again.

That was written Kryptonian. Hand scrawled, messy and quick, in handwriting not her own and she couldn’t let her grip clench, couldn’t let her hand close and crumple this beautiful, wonderful thing

“How fluent are you?” She asked, her voice now little more than a whisper, and Danny gave a self deprecating little laugh

“Well, not perfect… but I have an affinity for dead or nearly-dead languages. That isn’t my writing though, mine’s basically illegible,” he explained quickly, and Kara gently stroked the sheets flat

A small smile pulled at her lips, something she hadn’t thought of in years.

“It’s funny,” she said, then cleared her throat, continuing in more of her usual tones, “Danny is short for Daniel, yes?”

Danny winced, and there was a story there, but she was lost in the memory

“Yeah…”

“I don’t know if you know this, but… there was a god of death on Krypton. Not a major deity, but… his name was Dan-El, the bringer of balance,” she explained with a wry smile, wishing she could remember more

Dann was smiling again though, and had clearly made his own connections

“I actually didn’t know that… I don’t suppose you’d want to talk more about your home?” He asked gently, snapping Kara’s attention back to his face

“In Kryptonian?” She asked in return, and watched the way his smile made his blue eyes shine

“Whenever you like,” he assured her, pulling out a card and a pen and nearly dropping his bag to juggle all three and still write a number on the back of his card. “You can get me any time with this number, or come by my office, or… anything. Any time, and I do mean that. I would love to hear anything you have to say.”

Something tugged in Kara’s chest, a warmth and a hope she hadn’t felt in ages. Fuck, her own Kryptonian was probably rusty, and that was just wrong

She’d have to teach the boys to speak it more. Teach them the swears their dad wouldn’t know

Maybe they’d want to take the class too

Clark was instantly enamoured with Danny and his classes too, and Kara attended every lecture

Even if they had been scripted and the subject matter never changed, she worked her way through them and would have come back every year

But Danny shook things up

Brought different samples, switched things around

And one day, when they’d known each other for a few years and she had come to know Professor Manson from Botany (Kara still had a black thumb, but Sam could make even Kryptonian plants flourish in Earth soil)…

Supergirl and Superman started to come in for guest lectures

Danny teaches an Astronomy & Alien Culture class in Gotham University. He knows far more about said cultures than the average professor should know. Almost as if he has first hand experiences on the planets he talks about.

i had this sketch in my drafts for almost 8 months. i wanted to write down my opinion on Apple ships but it happened to be a little bit hard for me to express my thoughts in english AND I HAD BEEN POSTPONING IT SEVERAL TIMES.

anyway thats a lovely sketch still so imma gonna publish it just as it is.

pyro absolutely loves pianos and piano-adjacent instruments, but their fav is a xylophone

pyro adores the simple tactile feeling of hitting something and that something making noise, an itch scratched by most to all percussion instruments but they're really a fan of the melodic kind, that they can weave songs out of just on their own. he possesses only a very basic understanding of music theory (never really got a chance to learn), but has a very strong sense of relative pitch and can play a song she knows on just about anything percussive if she's given a few minutes to figure it out. all things accounted for, they're surprisingly dexterous, huge bulky rubber gloves and all.

the xylophone just combines so many nice things into one--it's easy to find one with colorful, cute bars, a touch of personality a lot of other instruments are lacking for him, and it's the clean, lovely sound it makes, and just the feeling of playing it, the way the bar vibrates under the mallet before she lifts it and the basic tactile pleasure of hitting something. pyro's also head-over-heels for the glockenspiel even if they're a little less fun to play. the chime is everything

one of the few things more meditative for pyro than playing an instrument is watching someone else play an instrument. especially if someone else has been playing that instrument since he was a toddler and knows it like he knows the fingers on his hands. the way demo gets when he’s focused, on the groove, is downright magical, when he stops talking and hunches forward and the music just starts flowing out of his hands like it’s a part of him, and it’s pyro’s favorite thing in the entire world. sometimes he sits her down at one end of the bench and gives her a few chords to play while he works his magic and plays it into a song at the other end, something for just the two of them to experience together—come to think of it that might be even better. insturments are cool👍

he uses he/him and is a cis guy (just is slightly feminine) he is mlm/gay. he loves fairycore and his favourite dog breed is a golden retriver (speficially the human version dave showed him, not alternian.) his robot legs will occasionslly malfcution, causing them to either get locked in place, squeak loudly, or get sticky joints. dave constantly has to call dirk over to fix his legs. his matesprit is dave, moirail is gamzee, and he has a black crush on gamzee (not very "black" though, mostly a "i can fix him" mentality but it ends up being "i can fix him but itll make me worse in the prossess) type stuff. its a pale leaning black thing.

Sollux Captor

he uses they/he/she and is bisexual and bigender (original i know but its kinda funny concidering my headmate with a sollux source is bisexual and bigender so im stealing that). hes emo and has a johnnie guilbert shrine in his hive he swears is ironic. he is colour blind (blue colour blindess specifically) so he sees voilet/purple as a ugly brown thats why he calls eridan ugly so much. he plays the synthesizer. hes double jointed and likes to gross his friends out with it. his shoes were orignially both white but he lost the second one but was too lazy to find it so he just wears the same brand shoe but different colours. theyre vans shoes. his matesprit is aradia , his moirail is dave , his kismesis is eridan , and his auspistice is karkat.

Karkat Vantas

he uses they/he, theyre nonbinary / transmasculine (has top scars and is technially transmasc but is also nonbinary i dont know if im saying this right) and is unlabeled for sexuality (they kiss guys but is unlabeled take with that what you will) they are punk even if they dont particualerly dress like it. their sweatpants are too big and their sweater is too small / tight so theyre a small gap of stomach showing. he purrs when happy, sleepy, or comfortable. when he gets scared their voice cracks and squeaks. when theyre alone listening to music in their hive hell jump around bouncing off stuff pretending to play the guitar and screaming / singing at the top of his lungs to the song. his matesprit is gamzee, his moirial is eridan, his kismesis is dave, and they aupistice for eridan and sollux.

Nepeta Lejion

she uses she/meow and is girlflux, catgender (original i know), grey romantic, and asexual. when she paints on her shipping wall she tends to get paint all over her and it has since stained her jacket. she has had her hat since she was very little and its very streched out and worn. same with her tail as its not part of her, it drags on the ground behind her and gets dirt, sticks and leaves caught in it most of the time. she likes to play the xylophone, read warrior cats, and play animal jam with equius. she purrs when she his happy / sleepy / comfy like karkat. her matesprit is feferi and her moirail is equius.

We head straight towards the Maw, eager to learn about the digestive system of this creature... when suddenly, it moves! Whatever way it can sense the water, it could sense we were not the kind of food it was looking for

The Maw rapidly swims away, and the force of it doing so causes our ship to spin out of control! The spinning propels us against the tail of a different Maw nearby, which smacks us far away until we hit a cliffside.

We land in the ocean floor, on top of one of the Walking Xylophones! It is crawling across the ground quite quickly.

Since you guys loved the TADC birthday headcanons post we made a while back, we decided to make a small list of other headcanons we have for the circus members! Enjoy! -💡

* Gangle ships BunnyDoll (Jax x Ragatha) and Showtime (Pomni x Caine), hence the “figurine thing” mentioned in episode 2 and why Jax wanted to tell Ragatha SPECIFICALLY

* Ragatha is a massive fan of music boxes/kalimbas and will fall asleep to a song played on those instruments. She also occasionally plays a xylophone if she finds one lying around the circus

* If Jax had a superpower, he'd have electricity

* Ragatha is a neat freak, and got the habit when she first entered the circus and noticed how Kinger would often make a mess or two

* Zooble collects fidget toys and keychains. Nobody is fighting with me on this.

* Pomni used to be a mathlete and even became Valedictorian before joining the circus

* Pomni speaks Italian, and Ragatha speaks French (both used to do it for funsies)

* Zooble absolutely ADORES hydro dipping and tie-dye!! Gangle was the one that got them into it

* Jax is a proud gamer and got a high score of around 28,000 in Tetris once, which he takes pride in. Pomni tries to beat that record every single day to “humble him”

* Zooble and Kinger, oddly enough, share a common interest in dinosaurs and the rainforest. Zooble loves the brightly colored plants, and Kinger loves the insects/animals that reside in it

* Jax has a collection of firecrackers. Oh, and prank toys.

* Ragatha is kinda superstitious…she keeps whatever 4 leaf clovers she can find, and also wears evil eye jewelry to ward off Jax evil spirits/bad luck

* Pomni is a fan of heavy metal. But doesn’t mind listening to pop/country every once in a while

* Gangle owns a sticker collection and keeps it in a safe so Jax won’t be able to get to it

* Ragatha owns one of those old rotary telephones in a light pink color

* Ragatha, Pomni, Zooble and Gangle all have a soft spot for Squishmallows. Kinger doesn’t know what they are and Jax doesn’t give two shits at this point

* Kaufmo and Jax used to be BFFs and used to secretly play pirates in Kaufmo's bedroom. Jax still keeps the fake swords they used and luckily, his secret is safe. For now.

* Jax's favorite game is Grand Theft Auto

* Ragatha plays Animal Crossing sometimes, but she mostly loves farming games and those puzzle games

* Pomni likes mind games and you will often find Sudoku, Crossword and Wordsearch books in her room

* Zooble dreams of traveling the world

* Kinger's favorite flavor of gummies is cola. Reminds him of insects and…someone else…but he can’t really put his finger on it

* Caine is a dog person

murdoc for character opinions

god. murdoc. im admittedly not deep in enough to hard assess my opinions from 2018 vs now, but let's give a quick run through.

i love murdoc. but he's also hard to talk about. so i think its best to jump forward to what i find most compelling about him: it's someone's capacity to grow and change even relatively late in life.

He has a start in life that, speeding over all of THAT, leaves him a very vapid, self centered and cruel person by the time the band becomes a thing. Bit by bit, tooth by pulled tooth, he learns to see things differently.

And this is where that "canon isn't real if i dont look at it"- the continued existence of gorillaz's storyline depends on there being an antagonist, and that is historically Murdoc's role. So a lot of that development will get retconned, glossed over, etc. I don't really blame JH for that anymore, that's just how these things often go with properties that have this kind of extended shelf life.

Murdoc is a person that distills all his hurt into anger, excuses his loneliness as being "by choice" and buries trauma under ego, posturing and hypersexual behavior. But as it is when you form bonds with people, tentative as they might be, they change you. Phase 3 is the climax of this, and phase 6 was both the """final""" relapse of his bad tendencies (post TNN cough) and the end of his arc with The Lost Chord.

THAT ALL BEING SAID, he's silly to me. I count all the material of him being Oddly Polite or giggly as canon whether it's Phil Cornwell breaking character or not.

Murdoc has two faces: one for the paps, and another for the fans. One crude and attention seeking, and a softer more relaxed one for when he ACTUALLY gets to discuss his interests and the music he makes. He plays the media like a fiddle, since having eyes on him is an old skill he's long since mastered.

My possible divergences from fanon at large? I haven't been in touch lately, but I remember some interpretations being popular that I disagree with, so I'll just state my takes:

He's not iredeemable or stupid or remorseless, he grows to care about his bandmates very early on but is VERY slow on the uptake of identifying that affection, and he's much smarter than he lets on. Also no beef to people who ship 2doc but man it is just not my cup of tea. They're coworkers slash fffrriiienndsss?? who needle each other constantly.

AS FOR HEADCANONS: very simple.

A lot of his stunts in the public eye are coordinated- when he said he refuses to get on the stage on other people's terms, this includes the paps. If he's going to be hated, he might as well do that with intention and style

That being said, it's also a self-made excuse to be a debaucherous asshole as well as how he justifies the overindulgence to himself.

Selling his soul had progressive effects on his appearance

green skin, pointy ears, pointier teeth. he used to wear a red contact. he doesn't have to anymore!

the red eyes would be bilateral but in phase 5 the eye injury resulted in anisocoria- bowie-esque. He isn't sure if this is another manifestation of his deal for musical success, or karma.

because of his reduced vision and MULTIPLE stints in prison he is jumpier than ever

he has an unibrow! the fringe hides it because it grows back too fast, and murdoc is vain.

he used to have a fuller face, but as of phase 2 the stardom (drugs, poor self-care) started affecting his appearance. Phase 3 was even more brutal in terms of this. by the time phase 4 rolled around and he got clean, the buccal fat was gone for good, courtesy of plain aging!

short, skinny and not in the healthy way. again, phase 1-2 sees him develop a beer gut under xylophone ribs, phase 3 he's at his worst health-wise. Phase 4 and 6 see him put some real padding on, finally. (5 is a step back due to incarceration)

phase 5 issss fiiiineee... but i prefer respect-false-iconz (aka ezracaution)'s canon divergent exploration of it, The Code

lastly: projection? brother that's the bisexuality, shortness, edginess for show and anger issues. that's just text.

Angst time baby because if you didn't know I study both Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There.

Maddie's bff is actually Time, sure her dad and him aren't the closest but Time absolutely adores her.

Time wanted to make sure that Maddie knew he was looking out for her when she had to evacuate Wonderland, as such he gave her the power to see into the future.

For the first week when Maddie came to Ever After she would only look at clocks with a blank expression. No-one knows what she was thinking...maybe she was thinking about Harett and Time, maybe she was thinking about Lily, perhaps Bunny and her family, maybe all at once.

She likes to say she doesn't cry and that's because she doesn't. She will just show up to Mad Hatters Tea Shoppe and Haberdashery and cling to him in silence.

When the Wonderland Curse happened it added or took away things, it also warped their biology and Maddie wasn't different. She used to be able to change her hair, change her clothes, change her body however she'd like without trouble but when the curse hit, suddenly what made her special was taken away. It took her months to figure out what happened and even longer to accept it.

Her mom is Alice.

her and Alistair are twins with her being older by 6 minutes. Before the curse they could change their appearances to look exactly like identical twins, they could change to look like either one of their parents, Maddie could be the next Alice and Alistair could be the next Mad Hatter for all they care. When the curse hit it took that away from them.

Maddie will sometimes wish to be Alice. The only ones who fully understand it is the Wonderlandians and the Hood/Badwolf family.

Alice wasn't killed, Wonderland protected her in its Forrest but she did forget who she was...all she could remember was that she loved someone with a top hat and loved a Xylophone as well as a riddle.

When the curse was lifted everything was reversed except those who died.

However it wasn't until Alice saw her twins and her husband that her memory came back to her.

Both Maddie and Alistair have a "Mad" name and a "Sane" name.

Maddie's sane name is of course Madeline while Alistairs mad name is Allie.

Badwolf helped alot with her seeing as she was born less than a hour apart from Cerise.

Maddie has a stuffed hare that she would cuddle up to, and look, if she cried Kitty wouldn't tell.

This is Harett.

Her and Harett were the closest of friends when she left but when she came back they started to date (look, all of my Wonderland ships are weird, I got Lizzie shipped with a backgrounder from Monster High, this is a tame one.)

Harett and her are notorious for matching.

During the Wonderland Curse Harett went beyond mad, he would do nothing but sit at the tea-table, speak riddlish so insane that no one could understand him. He would rapidly twitch and he would talk to the symbols of the characters, radios surrounded the table and he would drink fake tea. Others had to actually give him real tea but tea was hard to come by.

When the curse was lifted him and Maddie became even more inseparable. He has snuck into her dorm several times just to have tea and a cuddle.

Mad Hatter and the March Hare are bffs so they are actually happy for them.

Now that the curse has lifted Maddie's biology is back to normal.

When she gets angry her hair becomes black and red and get fluffier, her eyes change and she generally looks terrifying.

She now had severe abandonment issues and will randomly cling to others.

She's technically a princess since her mom is a queen but she doesn't like showing it off.

Alice is queen of the woods in Wonderland.

Since Maddie is both a Looking-Glass character and a Wonderland character she is free to roam wherever she pleases in that world.

After the curse was lifted all Wonderlandians were allowed one month off from Ever After. Headmaster Milton Grimm originally disagreed to it. Giles Grimm overruled his disagreement.

Most of the time was spent just holding her mom.

She shares her height with her mom.

She also shares her fashion sense with her.

Alice escaped Ever After after realizing she'd never be happy with a man who belives a woman is second place to him. She ended up running away in her wedding dress, down the rabbit hole and into Mad Hatters arms.

It's also why Allistars last name is Wonderland because Alice changed her last name.

Alice shared a dorm with The Queen of Hearts and due to how she was raised she was extremely shy and nervous. She made friends with Badwolf and Mad Hatter who slowly got her to open up and be less shy....that's when they realise she was illiterate due to her harsh upbringing.

Mad Hatter made her Tea Cakes as a gift. Those things would be at their first date, their wedding and became a symbol of their love.

When Mad Hatter escaped with the other Wonderlandians he still made tea cakes but he couldn't eat them without crying just wishing to share them with his Alice.

Mad Hatter tried not to cry in front of the others, he tried his best and will goto his room if he absolutely has to cry.

Maddie knows he does it too. And on those nights Maddie just so happens to have a nightmare and needs her dad.

Maddie is extremely observant. She sees how Professor Card won't stop painting the Ace of Diamonds, she's seen Scottie and Scottdum look at their backsides wishing for their tails back, how Professor Knight holds onto a old Red Knight chess piece when he is talking about damsels, how Her Majesty The White Queen will mumble Lily's name. She's seen how Lizzie will talk to a card deck like her parents and brothers are still there. She especially sees how Kitty looks at Callico knowing he's not hers. She's heard her father accidentally say Alice's name when he refers to the group forgetting for a second shes not there.

She has seen Badwolf look at her like there's supposed to be two but forgetting there is only one.

When Alistair came to Ever After his dorm became a place where all the Wonderlandians hanged out since Sparrow doesnt use his side. They even had Professor Card come over.

Maddie doesn't resent Raven because she understands it wasn't her that put the curse on Wonderland, especially when Raven fixed it. However there is just a small piece that wishes Raven would understand just how bad it effected everyone in Wonderland especially when they had to burry Lizzies 8 brothers. Especially when you can see the ptsd in Bunny and Allstars eyes. Especially when Maddie flenches when Raven speaks about her mother.

Since Alice didn't learn to read or write till she was 14 she made sure her kids learned both of those skills both in Riddlish and in English as well as several other languages like Morse-Code, Pig Latin, Flag Language that Mad Hatter made, Spanish, French, and a few more. She didn't want them to suffer the way she did.

Alice made sure that no matter what gender they decided to be that they shouldn't be bound by gender-roles and expectations.

In turn it's not uncommon for Maddie to wear "guy clothes"

On a good note: Wonderland is alive and does sometimes play pranks on her.

i hate when im trying to come up with a good shipname for some crack rh pairing bc they all have the stupidest names. how tf are you supposed to combine "DJ Yellow" with something when there are whole other characters whose defining characteristic is being a dj or being yellow. i could just come up with like more abstract shipnames like some folks do but at a certain point that gets hard to parse. ideally a ship name should be clear and easily identified. if i look at it i should immediately know what characters it's referring to but i cant DO that with half the cast of this stupid franchise because theyre named some fuckass shit like Orange Man Who Plays The Xylophone, not to be confused with Orange Fisherman or Other Guy Who Plays The Xylophone

Retail outlet Spacelab gave the estimated beginning ship date for orders of the Dragon Age: Selections From The Game Soundtrack 4LP Box Set vinyl as November.

If you recall, on vinyl disc 'Disc 4 Side A (Bonus DLC Tracks)' there is a track in the tracks listing called "7. D’read Koda (1:08) [Hidden Track]", and we were wondering what it is.

In music, "a coda is a passage that brings a piece (or a movement) to an end. It may be as simple as a few measures, or as complex as an entire section."

It looks as though some people who ordered this item have now received it. Over on Reddit, Reddit user LegendeRRisCZ17 posted that they have received the box set. Included in their post is a video of their vinyl playing this song - it can be listened to at this link. The user advises that the piece starts at timestamp 1 mins 15 secs.

It has a sort of creepy, ominous atmosphere, echo-y discordant notes played on what sounds like a xylophone (I don't know music hh. if you know what it actually is and have music buff thoughts on the piece in general, pls share) and some eerie backing vocals. It gives me the impression of mystery and tension. At the end it rises to a loud, dark kinda pulsing crescendo. I don't recognize it from existing DA OSTs - lmk if you do? as if it is new it is possible that this is a tease for, or our first look at (outside of trailers) the DA:D OST.

In the track listing, D'read Koda comes after various music pieces from the Trespasser DLC, like Lost Elf Theme and Dark Solas Theme. Reportedly, the information that comes with the vinyl advises that D'Read Koda is composed by Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe.

According to a previous post on Reddit, DA:I composer Trevor Morris was asked on Twitter some time ago whether he would be composing the music for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. He replied “Nope. Bailed on me for Mr. Zimmer and co. Appreciate the love though”. He then quickly deleted that tweet, and people wondered whether that meant that Hans Zimmer or Hans Zimmer's Studio and folks who are part of it are doing the score for DA:D. Lorne Balfe is a veteran of Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions.

Thoughts I had during TGCF Season 2 Ep 1

I’ve finished my quarter and I am spending my spring break reacting to Season 2! Let’s make this reaction series count!

-Welcome back to Puqi Village people, at morning and known for their chestnuts!  (The best nuts I’ve had outta the packet!)

-We are back at Puqi Shrine people!

-And the Altar is packed!

-Instrumental Hong Jue!!!

-I love how the music switches from a majestic powerful orchestra tune to a comical xylophone like leitmotif upon introducing Xie Lian.  To say, “And then there’s that guy.  Then there’s that guy.”

-And after every official flees the Trash god, one of my Junior Official OCs, Long He goes, “Huh, who is that dude?”  And then his dad, a Civil God will say, “That dude is the Crown Prince of Xianle.  His highness crown prince Xie Lian!” And then that Civil god begrudgingly brings his palm to his face.

-*Hears Mengyou calling his highness*: Ladies, Gentlemen and Enby friends, Him!

-This has the energy of giving someone a lanyard pass to visit a certain building

-“It’s not that hard!”  “You ascended hundreds of years ago you know better!” “Now keep it with you!”  Only like 4 minutes into the first Ep and that NPC is already getting the best lines.  (More of Lang Qianqiu’s trusty assistant later this season folks!)

-He sounds just like the English actor for Elam, Justin Briner, from the Heroic Legend of Arslan (another awesome historical manga!)  Coincidentally, Elam is also one of Arslan’s most trusted Allies.

-I can’t wait to write more of my ATLA x TGCF crossover, The Scrap Immortal and the Avatar, just imagine the Gaang’s reaction to learning that there’s more than one crown prince worshipped!

-Man, it’s like I always say, “The rumor mill’s always a’runnin!”  Or water wheel since it’s ancient China

-Hi Ling Wen, man what kind of product did she use to hide those eye bags???

-I’ve started reading the Manhua series so, Huh? No cursed shackle?

-I love how this next scene is basically,

Pei Ming: Your Highness, please tell everyone who accompanied you?  Then Xie Lian starts to compose an alibi:  Ah yes!  I will do that.  It was incredible!  What did we get swept in a sandstorm or something?  Oh yes! It was just a youth in red robes who was knowledgeable about the Ban Yue kingdom.  <- This incorrect quote is inspired by Zuko and Iroh lying to Commander Zhao about the state of their ship in episode 3, The Southern Air Temple.  (Does anyone else think that Xie Lian, is what would happen if you combined both Iroh and Zuko?)

-The face Xie Lian made when he’s trying to keep fibbing and brought his index finger to his cheek that was good body language

-Hi Windmaster.

-Oooh Feng Xin and Mu Qing

-Welp you tried keeping him innocent Xie Lian

-Not as complicated as your love life, maybe I should do a Pei Ming roast count?

-Hey Xie Lian is smarter than you look

-Ok that line and Pei Ming’s attempt to kick Pei Xiu does seem like an abusive action in my perspective.

That was an awesome start to the Second Season. Sorry if I haven’t been posting I’m four weeks into my quarter and I also got back into writing fanfic, like the first chap of The scrap immortal and the Avatar. I’ll still do every reaction to Season 2 on weekends!

This is the best and worst time to answer this because im have brainrot of them right now because of a fanfiction. (its called Xylophone on a03 technically there the side ship but AGH THERE MAKEING ME CRYDJSJSJSKSJDHKSSKSSJ-they Connect emotionally its super cute)

But aside from that i LOVE THEM there dynamic is amazing and i know they got some TENSION. this time i think she would fall first (with out reliseing it) hes her exact opposite so he (kinda) interested her (😱)

Anger would fall after and HATE IT. he would be confused on how SHE was the one that he fell for.

They would both be in crazyyyy denial but everyone else would know they like eachother and it would drive everyone CRAZY.

As a couple theyd be pretty chill. There not really like lovey dovey with words but i think theyd cuddle alot. Anger would be the little spoon because hes to short not to be LMAO
