soooo glad we're doing "content warnings bad" in a blue hair and pronouns way now /sarcastic. content warnings aren't "sanitizing" things, they literally exist so the content can exist without triggering people or dropping something on them unprepared. "your safe little room" do you not see how this is the exact same rhetoric conservatives use mocking "safe spaces" and how the dumb liberals don't know anything about the Real World. some people like being warned before they hear about heavy topics. some people want to avoid some topics altogether. that is fine. and it is morally neutral to not want to consume triggering content. hope this helps.

You've talked before about how "generic" ttrpg systems still contain hidden assumptions about genre, story, playstyle, etc. (e.g. gurps and military scifi/fantasy) how do you figure out what those assumptions are? what should you look for in the rules to find them?
That's a fairly involved question for which a full answer is beyond the scope of a Tumblr post (even my notoriously long-winded ones!), but I find that a good place to start is with the "who gives a shit?" principle.
For example, suppose that the first piece of mechanically significant information on a game's character sheet is a statistic called "Strength", rated on a scale from one to ten.
Who gives a shit?
That is, why do we care how strong player characters are? Why do we care about having a definite, codified answer at our fingertips to the question of which characters are stronger than other characters, to a fair degree of precision? Why does any of this matter? What assumptions are we making about the nature of the conflicts that will be present within the game's narrative?
That's a fairly trivial case, but the principle can be extended to more fundamental features of a game's rules. Let's consider the classic Dungeons & Dragons style skill check, for example: roll a die, add a stat, compare to a target number, pass or fail. What assumptions are we encoding about the nature of conflict in this game?
Well, for a start, these assumptions might include:
The assumption that generating binary pass/fail outcomes for performing discrete physical, mental and social tasks is how most conflicts will be resolved;
The assumption that your game will benefit from these outcomes having a high degree of player-facing uncertainty;
The assumption that your game will benefit from this uncertainty containing a relatively high likelihood of complete failure;
The assumption that your game will benefit from the principal determinant of that likelihood of failure being some intrinsic and objectively measurable attribute of the acting character;
... and so forth.
If you're only familiar with Dungeons & Dragons and its very close imitators, these may seem like things you have to assume in order to have a functioning game, but there are a fairly specific set of conventions being expressed here. Why do we care about any of these things? Who gives a shit?
Even the first bullet point can easily be knocked down: one can imagine, for example, a game which simply assumes players can always choose to have their characters succeed at anything it's within the realm of possibility for them to do, and whose rules instead focus on providing a codified game-mechanical answer to the question of what that success will cost them, with the only uncertainty being whether the player is willing to pay that cost.
It's clear that a game which approaches conflict resolution in this way is expressing a strong set of genre assumptions. The trick is recognising that the industry-standard alternative (i.e., the D&D-style skill check) is equally laser-focused on a specific set of genre assumptions, in a way that's often rendered invisible by how common it is.
All of which is a very long-winded way of saying there isn't a simple checklist you can go down to identify a game's genre assumptions. But then, I warned you way up in the opening sentence that this would be the case – I hope I've at least given you a place to start!

Let's start with life! How do you want your life to be from now? Try to think about a movie type of life, for this task you need a journal(a simple notebook can do it) , your phone and (optional) a pair of headphones and earphones, we're going to start manifesting by listening to subliminals and writing into your diary like you're living that main character life.
What you write doesn't need to be one of those delusional diary entries, but make your boring life sound epic by describing everything in details and giving it a dramatic turn, use your feelings!

Ofc this has to be on the list, for workouts I suggest you rope jumping(works like wonder), pilates, Cycling at home(elle Woods type of way) and yoga for when you have little time and are stressed. Time for shopping, crop top season it's back so invest into crop tops and light dresses, if you’re a more comfy girly girl, invest in a light pair of pants, in Italian we say “pantaloni in lino”, a very good and light material, spring long sleeves and baby doll tops.

self care is so important both for our mental and physical well being. its one of the girliest hobbies and for good reason too, when i practice self care i pretend like im caring for a doll (except im not rly pretending bcuz i am a doll). pouring into myself is my PASSION especially in luxurious ways...💬🎀

ATMOSPHERE ;
atmosphere is the most effective way to get that luxury spa like feel. light some candles that smell nice, warm ur towels and bathrobe before using it and make sure that u have all ur spa day supplies on hand so that u dont have to walk back and forth. some important items to have during ur luxury self care day are ->
🧁 cucumber slices (for ur eyes of course)
🧁 a warm cup of tea or a refreshing cup of infused water (whatever ur in the mood for) bonus points if u drink it in a wine glass
🧁 warmed towels and bath robes
🧁 a facial steamer
🧁 luxurious bath tray (with ur drink, candles, products, etc)
🧁 bubble bath
also, play some soft jazz or calming music in the background, i love bossanova so thats what i listen to. also try to avoid harsh lightings and opt for a softer light instead. we wanna feel RELAXED, like we're in an exclusive spa.
SKINCARE RITUALS ;
double cleanse ur skin and make sure to really take your time, feel free to massage ur skin too. make sure that ur letting ur cleanser sit on ur skin for a couple of seconds to really reap all the benefits you can. use a facial mask, i rly love making my at-home rice face mask. i also enjoy the aztec clay mask and sheet masks that have ingredients like aloe and rice.

BUBBLE BATH ;
soak in a warm bath with fluffy bubbles and ur hair in a pretty girly shower cap. i love to have the lights dimmed while im in the bath and a juicy book on my bath tray. if i dont have a physical book on hand which i prefer bcuz on luxurious self care days i like to go screen-less, i'll read one of my spicy web comics and just soak in the bath.
when finding a good bubble bath for your luxurious self care day i want u to do your research! i love my bubble baths fragrant and i love them to make LOTS of bubbles so some of my recommendations are the doctor teals bubble baths, i also really enjoy the creme shop boba bears one cuz its so cute and the lush bubble bars (they feel like a treat every time)
now when you get out of the bath it is SO important to have a nice hot towel and bathrobe to slip into. it just feels like a warm hug UGH it elevates the experience by like a million percent, its an absolute necessity don't you dare skip this.
FOR YOUR HAIR ;
while doing a luxurious spa day i recommend doing treatment on your hair like a deep conditioner or a hair mask. also massage ur scalp. ever since i've been on red note i learned that we have five meridians on our scalp and by massaging them we can stimulate growth and relieve stress so thats def something you guys should get into. bonus: use a hot towel wrap or a heated cap to let the mask soak in
FOR YOUR BODY ;
exfoliating always makes me feel like im shedding an old skin and stepping into a new one so it's a must have step. after exfoliating, moisturize with a thick, luxe body cream or body oil. go for something with shea butter, cocoa, or almond oil so you feel buttery soft. then spray a light body mist or your fave perfume, even if you’re just staying in/going to bed. smell is part of the fantasy

MASSAGE ;
this part is sooo underrated but like, once you add massage into your routine, you’ll never skip it again. it just feels like a princess reset. i always say a good massage makes me feel like melted caramel. you can do it yourself or u can make ur bestie do it for u, it’s giving luxury either way.
🍨 first, grab your fave body oil or lotion. i love using something that smells like vanilla, roses, or coconut milk, bonus points if it's a little sparkly. warm it up in your hands (cold lotion is illegal on spa day) and start by massaging your neck + shoulders. move in slow circles and don’t rush.

according to the psych-k frequently asked questions, PSYCH-K, "is a proven and safe way to change subconscious beliefs that perpetuate old habits of thinking and behaving that you would like to change."^1 dumbing it down, you are using psych-k to tap into your subconscious and conscious simultaneously, rewiring your brain with a single affirmation. and while doing this, you may begin to have a rush of negative, limiting thoughts, but instead of pushing them away in frustration, you will invite them in. think of it like this... you are the teacher and your affirmation is a brand-new lecture. you're standing at the front of the room in front of many desks, all filled with 'students' aka your thoughts, emotions, etc. as you are 'lecturing' (repeating this affirmation over and over and over) the 'students' begin to disrupt you with hurtful words or overall trying to debate with your 'lecture'. how do you handle this? you continue to 'lecture', you can continue to listen to your 'students', and eventually, the 'students' will quiet down until there's complete silence and that's when your 'lecture' has started to implement its knowledge into your 'students'.

there are many videos on YouTube that will provide a visual guide of instructions on how to do it, however, this is the video that I use and I highly recommend that you watch the entire video to get a logical understanding of what's happening (if you prefer logical info like I do). and if you're having trouble figuring out how to position your hands, watch this video as well. I'd also like to mention that if you're unsure of which side of your brain has more resistance to a new belief, set yourself a timer for 5 minutes and do psych-k with your left ankle crossed over your right and your left hand crossed over your right. after the timer goes off, switch your right ankle to cross over your left, and your right hand to cross over your left. a l s o, if you decide to have resistance against this method bc or any method in general (bc you're stubborn perhaps), take the time to do psych-k and affirm that all methods work for you, boom, fuckin' foolproof.
can i use psych-k to manifest anything i desire? •°. *࿐
yes, yes you can, you're changing your beliefs right in the moment, there are no fuckin' limits unless you create those limits for yourself.
can i use psych k to enter the void state? •°. *࿐
yes, you can do anything you want with psych-k. @urgurljodie has a bit more information on this, but, i am aware that they sent an ask to someone and stated that while doing psych-k you should affirm that you're in the void state/in the void etc.
how do i know if I'm doing it right? •°. *࿐
there's no need to overcomplicate this, don't fear the replacement. simply sit down, get into position as instructed in the videos provided above, and follow their words. stay in the psych-k position for as long as needed, repeating your new belief over and over, invite the resistance in, and simply keep thinking this new thought until you no longer feel resistance towards your new belief. you'll know if you did it right, promise. may sound unbelievable at first, but again, what do you have to lose?
can i combine psych-k with the laws of manifestation? •°. *࿐
absolutely, use any affirmations you want.
do i have to do psych k to eliminate limiting beliefs? •°. *࿐
nope! this is simply just another method of sorts, you don't need to try anything you don't want to. no one is forcing this shit down your throat...

a lot of us strive to be that health & wellness icon, but unfortunately we might stumble upon the struggle of trying to figure out where to start. we come across so many health & wellness accounts, creators, videos, books, etc. that might quickly become overwhelming and we just end up lost on where to begin. so let this little guide on the basics be your starting position!
let’s begin …
୨ৎ — physical basics
a lot of the time when we think of “health and wellness”, we think about our physical body. we look for workout routines, we might subscribe to a gym membership, we might try and follow workout youtube videos— but, we always somehow end up losing track of keeping up with that kind of physical activity, especially when we jump right into it.
start small! when i say we’re going to talk about the basics, i mean the very bare minimum basics.
make sure you’re getting enough sleep!
that 7-8 hours of sleep is absolutely vital for your physical health. i made this guide on how to get better sleep that i recommend for those who might struggle with getting a good amount of rest at night!
your body needs to rest and recharge. it needs to go into that sleep mode so that the next day you feel energized!
getting a good amount of sleep each night is an overall basic health and wellness tip! sleep doesn’t have just physical benefits, but it also benefits your mental and emotional well-being too!
drink water daily!
2-3 liters is that sweet spot for water intake, so let that be a daily goal for yourself! even if it’s one glass of water every morning, make sure you’re staying hydrated.
what helped me increase my water intake was by getting myself a super cute water bottle! i have this pastel colored owala water bottle and i’m absolutely obsessed with it and since i love it so much i’ve just been more inclined to drink more water!
stay away from the late night snacks!
i’ve been making it a goal for myself to not eat after, at the latest, 7:30pm. with that, i also try to refrain from getting myself a late night snack.
your stomach needs time to digest all the food you’ve eaten at dinner, and doctors/nutritionists always say not to eat 2-3 hours before going to sleep! going to bed with a full stomach can cause digestive problems, and we’re trying to promote health and wellness for ourselves! not make it worse for us!
get your body moving!
even if it’s going for a short walk or getting up from the couch to stretch or dancing around in your room, you need to start moving your body! get it used to physical activity before you start trying workout routines or going to the gym or following a youtube workout video.
if you’re already a little experienced with physical activity, keep your workout routines simple and short! find beginner level youtube workout videos! again, start small. don’t try to force yourself by diving in head first into something intense!
୨ৎ — mental/emotional basics
health and wellness also means making sure your mental and emotional health & well-being are in check. you can’t do physical activities if your mind isn’t in the right place!
journal, journal, journal!
i talk about journaling A LOT, and i’m going to keep reiterating it over and over again because it works! writing down your thoughts/feelings, brain dumping, creating gratitude lists, writing down daily affirmations; it all truly helps to get yourself into a better headspace!
digital detox
sometimes, it really is that damn phone! social media can be so toxic and draining, so spend some time away from it! i’m going to hold your hand when i say this: doomscrolling on tiktok or instagram reels isn’t going to make you feel better. log out and go do something else!
read a book, journal (told you i’d bring it up again), go for a walk, chat/hangout with a friend/loved one, clean your room, take an everything shower, dance around in your room; just do something that doesn’t involve your phone!
if you want to be on your phone, maybe create a vision board on pinterest or go into your notes app and journal that way! you can also go on youtube and watch inspirational videos/podcasts or any content creators that motivate you or make you feel good.
୨ৎ — spiritual basics
this may or may not apply to you, and if it doesn’t you can go ahead and skip this part! but if it does apply to you, then stay tuned!
your spirituality can be compromised when your health and wellness needs aren’t being met. if you’re a believer in God or you believe in another higher being or the universe, try to get yourself reconnected with your spirituality!
write down prayers/affirmations/manifestations
here i am with the journaling bit again, but seriously, write it down! get into the habit of writing these things down for yourself. you can start your day with writing this stuff down or you can end your day doing so!
consume media that inspires you
youtube videos, podcasts, books, articles, essays, whatever it is just find something that you feel helps you connect with your spiritual side and immerse yourself in it!
it could be content about manifesting, content about God, content about tarot cards/readings; anything that brings you closer with your spirituality.

i want to give you guys a little bit of an assignment: write and reflect on your current health and wellness. what are some aspects of it that are going really well? what are some things that still need some work? how are you going to implement healthier habits into your routine?
living healthier and promoting your personal wellness for yourself doesn’t have to be complicated. it’s okay to start off with smaller goals! the health and wellness content creators you see have all started off with the basics and the basics have helped them grow! just because it’s a small act or a tiny change, it doesn’t mean you aren’t going to see big improvements!

I wanted to practice media literacy, but something that keeps coming up is reaffirming to trust what a majority of scientists and doctors believe rather than the fringe ones who may be trying to sell you something. And I agree with that, but I keep getting this bad feeling in the back of my mind because, well, I remember learning about how a lot of different scientific fields are based in ableism, racism, misogyny, etc. Like, for example, a majority of doctors in the US are in favour of invasive and traumatizing surgeries on intersex infants to "fix" them, while intersex adults advocate against these surgeries.
Will this come up in the later courses and discussions on media literacy? Stuff like, trusting the scientific method even if the general consensus is scewed due to being a part of an oppressive system? Thank you ☆
hi! so first of all, I want to start by saying this is probably outside of the scope of this blog to definitively answer - this kind of issue could be debated forever. Also, I want to clarify that I’m not trying to give a ‘course’ here, I’m not a teacher in any way, I’m just some guy who likes fact checking
So with that in mind, I think we should definitely acknowledge that scientific communites are made up of people, who all have their own biases. Social beliefs absolutely have, and will continue, to affect our scientific understanding. That being said, I don’t think that bias is inherent to the scientific method - in actuality, it’s the opposite. When biases affect the research, that’s bad science, which is exactly what media literacy and scientific literacy helps us distinguish. Essentially, I don’t think that these biases are a reason to not practice media literacy. Media literacy is what helps us to think critically about these things.
To use your own example, surgical intervention on intersex infants was based on little data, and became the normalised ‘treatment’ before any rigorous studies were done. It’s the introduction of proper scientific method in medical care that has helped to change our understanding of surgical intervention, and is now pushing to limit surgeries on intersex infants.
From the American Journal of Bioethics: ‘However, the main empirical premises behind this approach, namely, that significant psychosocial benefits would in fact accrue to the child because of early surgery and that these benefits would, moreover, reliably outweigh the associated risks of physical and mental harm, were never subjected to rigorous testing (Creighton and Liao Citation2004; Liao et al. Citation2019). Rather, standard practice in this area became entrenched and institutionalized long before the advent of modern evidence-based medicine (Diamond and Beh Citation2008; Garland and Travis Citation2020a; Dalke, Baratz, and Greenberg Citation2020) as well as key developments in bioethics and children’s rights (Brennan Citation2003; Reis Citation2019; Alderson Citation2023; Gheaus Citation2024).‘

My dear lgbt+ kids, 
This is another post that has nothing to do with being lgbt+ and is just me musing on another internet phenomenon I noticed: the (forced?) hype around excessive hygiene. 
Shower routines that require 25 different products. “How to smell good” guides that tell you to use at least 5 different body washes within one shower and then layer 3 different deodorants on your armpits or else you stink and everyone hates you. “Tap into your divine feminine and reclaim your female power” by washing your genitalia with these 3 scented products every day. “Find your Wellness Girl aesthetic” and each aesthetic requires you to - you guess it - buy a ridiculous amount of products to all use simultaneously. 
This common thread may already reveal what this is really about: not physical health,  not emotional wellness, not even empowerment - they just want you to buy stuff.
More precisely, they want you to feel insecure enough to keep buying stuff - which is a really horrible marketing trick, considering that excessive hygiene and the underlying social fears can be so damaging. 
Washing yourself too often or using too many products will actually irritate your skin. It can disrupt your natural microbiome, cause painfully dry skin, itching, rashes or contact dermatitis, especially if the products are fragranced. 
(An extra note for those with vulvas: you shouldn’t use scented products at all down there due to risk of increased infections (like bacterial vaginosis or yeast infections). If you notice strong and unusual odor, that’s actually a typical sign of bacterial infections, so don’t just change your shower routine - visit a gynecologist.)
For most people and on an ordinary day (as in, you haven’t been explicitly instructed by your doctor to do otherwise etc.): Using one product for your body (shower gel or body wash or soap) should be absolutely enough to get germs, sweat and dirt off. Of course you may also use additional products for your hair or face - that does not fall under excessive since those are different body parts with different needs. But there is no need to use multiple products of the same variant, like multiple shower gels. That offers no proven benefits - except for getting the company more sales and more money. 
If you regularly feel sweaty or smelly after an ordinary shower with one shower gel, there are a few possible explanations: underlying physical conditions (for example hyperhidrosis (overactive sweat glands), thyroid issues, some neurological disorders, bacterial infections or even certain medications) can cause you to sweat a lot more than needed to regulate body temperature. This isn’t fixed by just buying and using an increasing amount of products. It’s something that needs to be checked out by a doctor. So if you notice an unexplained (I.e not related to increased activity or temperature) change in how much you sweat or how your sweat smells, take that as a potential symptom and see a medical professional. 
If you’re not actually sweating through your shirt after you just showered but you often find yourself worrying about that happening, then there could also be an underlying mental health issue. Ruminating (excessive worrying) about hygiene, sweat, germs, body odor, being “gross” or repulsive to others etc. can be connected to various conditions such as OCD, anxiety (health anxiety, social anxiety etc.) or body dysmorphia. 
Marketing that invents new things for you to feel insecure about - like “only” using one shower gel instead of multiple ones - preys on and exploits vulnerable people. It encourages overconsumption (bad for your finances and the environment), hurts your skin and your mental health.

Well i think that way too skinny tim is part of the problems with the babyfication/infantilization of tim.
Tim is very efficient and would take care of himself almost strictly. It all started with taking the role of one of bruce's caretakers. He couldnt let himself have a sick day when Bruce could be having yet another breakdown. Also realistically with his duty as vigilante he wouldn't let himself go thin.
But in the tall tim drake au. While still going through the growth spurts he would totally go even leaner. As he is not used to eat as much as food, i think in those months Tim would do the cryptid thing just to scare the bats. After he finally stops growing he would bulk up. (Def nothing like Bruce or Jason) more like Dick's type of physique. (Smth like jacob elordi / jack champion irl).
His team would help him with the amount of food he should get. And Tim would grt tired of being treated like a little child who cant go to play if he doesnt finnish his meal.
Anyways how do you think his family would react at Tim going tall as a tower? Especially Jason & Bruce reactions.

Hi again!!! I think Tim being way too skinny and not taking care of himself can play into the infantalization. However, I also hc Tim to be the type of person that really struggles to put on weight or muscle mass. I've had some friends/loved ones who ate a fuck ton and still remained bean poles. That's kind of where I'm basing it at.
Tim struggling to put on muscle mass could also play into him not being a natural at Robin's physical skills/needs. Basically, him working really fucking hard to meet the same physical goals as Jason and/or Dick.
For the tall Tim Drake AU, I imagine he wouldn't bulk up quite as much as Dick. At the very least, he'd struggle to obtain as much muscle mass as Dick and maintain it. Jacob Elordi does seem like a good fit for Tim, though. A more lean muscular type but still muscles (Dick's got some huge fucking shoulders. Ripped as hell back).
I'm also down for his muscle mass needing to catch up with his growth spurt. Maybe it takes up to a year for his physique to fully settle after he stops growing taller?
He would be hungry *constantly* though. Poor Tim :'( He'd probably come up with some nutrition plan based on his blood sugar and shit to adequately fulfill his needs. He'll be hella annoyed, though, at all the changes and increased need for nutrients. YJ would definitely be roped into it too.

EDIT: I did not clarify enough on when specifically Tim's struggles with eating may transfer into infantalization territory.
One, nothing wrong with needing support and help with maintaining adequate self-care. I personally struggle with eating and greatly benefit from someone helping me with this.
Two, I bet all of the Bats, at some point, have needed extra support in self-care matters. Particularly, Dick, Bruce, Babs, and Jason, but I imagine the others have had their times as well.
The issues stem from either a narrative of Tim being "incapable" of caring for himself or a restriction in his autonomy. While Tim may benefit from someone reminding him to eat, preparing meals, leaving him snacks, etc., this doesn't mean his own desires should be ignored. If he doesn't want someone butting into his life to help him with that, then so be it. He's capable of making decisions for himself even if others would disagree with his decisions "for his own good."

So, I've been wondering something.
In red dead online, there isn't too much use for Dead Eye because it doesn't/can't slow time down since you're playing on a server. It's still a powerful skill if you work on the upgrades for it, but one thing I noticed a lot (because I rarely use Dead Eye in online mode) is that your character really doesn't like having a low Dead Eye meter.
As in, your character will cover their eyes and scrunch up their face and wince as if they've got a bad headache (this goes for playing in story mode too). Now I know they're just visual cues for the player to see and be able to tell that the Dead Eye is low (because your aim is much worse with low Dead Eye), but the implications are pretty interesting to me.
So the question is, does having low Dead Eye hurt and why?
We know that both Dead Eye and Eagle Eye are learned skills, and things like cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, alcohol, snake oil and cheese all benefit your Dead Eye when it's low. It's a crucial meter, just like your heath or stamina - which raises more questions in itself.
Dead Eye and Eagle Eye are fascinating to me because they're very valuable abilities that can be used at will, and have specific set limits for how long they can be used at a time.
But only Dead Eye needs regular sustenance, or "feeding" I suppose.
This gives me the impression that Dead Eye is constantly dormant, instead of something that's "turned on" when needed. Like a constant state of being on high alert that's running on the sidelines of your character's day to day life.
When your character hasn’t used Dead Eye for a while and it still drains, it could mean their brain is struggling to maintain that high level of alertness in the background. This constant readiness, or the potential to drop into Dead Eye at any moment, would be like someone constantly being on high alert in real life. Even if they don’t act on it, the strain of staying ready for danger builds up.
Dead Eye uses an almost superhuman level of focus and precision. To enter that state of hyper awareness where time seems to slow down (even if it's just the perception of it), your character's brain might be working much harder than usual, forcing the mind into overdrive. Just like overusing muscles leads to physical fatigue, overworking the brain through intense focus could lead to mental exhaustion and physical symptoms, like headaches or vision problems.
And since Dead Eye depletes like a stamina bar and requires nourishment (cigarettes, alcohol, cheese), the skill could be linked to the body’s energy resources. Using Dead Eye probably increases your character's heart rate, sharpens reflexes, and probably even increases adrenaline production, which are all very taxing on the body.
Which makes sense as to why things like tobacco and alcohol help replenish it.
Stimulants like nicotine or the rush from alcohol might help keep that mental sharpness in check or at least alleviate the strain. It's as if the brain needs to be sharpened or soothed with substances because it's working overdrive in the background, even when you’re not actively engaging with Dead Eye.
So if we treat Dead Eye as something that affects the brain’s chemistry, like sharpening focus and precision, it could also deplete certain neurochemicals or hormones over time (adrenaline, dopamine, etc). Tobacco or alcohol might simulate the release of chemicals that help regulate those abilities. The discomfort your character feels when Dead Eye is low could well be on the same level as withdrawal symptoms, where the brain is craving more of those chemicals to return to its state of super focus.
I mean, what a fucking fascinating concept right?
Dead Eye is solely tied to heightened awareness for life or death situations, focusing entirely on people who can fight back and threaten your life. So while you're using it, you're engaging with targets that could potentially harm you, and that’s why it probably has such a taxing effect. Your mind and body are fully ramped up for combat, for precision, and for survival. It’s essentially a battle skill, designed for quick, decisive violence.
You also gain Dead Eye points for killing people, so you're not just using this dangerous skill, you're learning every time you use it and kill with it.
From a world building pov, this really deepens characters like Arthur or any other Dead Eye users. They're not just "good with guns" - they're managing the toll that comes with honing such a deadly skill. And unlike Eagle Eye, which is more of a passive, less draining ability, Dead Eye seems to tap into something more intense and unsustainable. Which is really fitting for their lifestyle.
Eagle Eye is taught through patience and understanding of the natural world, Dead Eye is forged in fire and the result of a life steeped in bloodshed and conflict.

Satoru Gojo:
The type to beg
Gojo would immediately break down. He can’t bear you leaving; he’s lost too much already.
Something about Geto walking out of his life prior makes Gojo unhealthily attached and dependent on you. You’re Gojo’s safe place; he can’t lose you, no matter what.
Before you can say another word, he’s on his knees at your feet, holding onto your legs as tight as he possibly can. Gojo will refuse to let go unless you agree to stay with him.
He’s a crying mess, tears soaking your legs, hair disheveled as he sobs uncontrollably. As much as Gojo wants to control his emotions, he simply can’t.
If you still don’t give in, He’ll cup your face, forcing you to look in his direction to “see what you did to him”. Gojo tries to win you back the only way he knows how, by begging and making you feel absolutely awful for what you caused.
Before you know it, he’s wrapping his large frame around you, keeping you trapped in his tight embrace. If Gojo has to keep you with him using force, then he’ll go there in a heartbeat. 
He apologizes for his excessive touch, but he needed to feel you in some way to help soothe himself. Gojo was practically having a panic attack before your eyes.
As Gojo locks you in his embrace, he can’t help but express how much he needs you. Gojo doesn’t know how he’ll manage without you; is there any point to life with you gone? Regardless of what you think, Gojo truly needs you.
Your heart breaks seeing him in this state—body shaking, eyes dull, and choking on his own sobs. Did you really have the heart to leave him? Seeing the strongest man alive behave in such a way over you leaving affected you mentally.
If you decide to stay, it’ll take a long time to improve his state. He needs to be 100% sure that you won't change your mind or leave when he’s off guard. Gojo becomes annoyingly attached to you physically; he cannot keep his hands to himself.
Gojo will slowly but surely get better. He’s still quite clingy weeks after the event, but he seems to be in the right headspace for the most part.
In the end, he’s just relieved to have his baby with him.
Suguru Geto:
The type to threaten
Geto’s first instinct is to laugh. He’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and believe that you’re only joking with him. When he finds out that you’re being serious, his entire demeanor changes.
Everything quickly turns bitter. Are you really going to leave after everything that he’s done for you? Geto finds it comical.
One thing that Geto will make clear is that you won't be leaving. He can’t seem to accept it, so it won’t happen.
The way that his dark, haunting eyes bore into your soul makes you immediately rethink your decision. How could such a warm and comforting face turn so dull and haunting?
Geto will blankly stare into your eyes silently, allowing you to change your mind before things get worse.
You’ll suddenly be pulled into his lap, harsh enough for you to notice his slight hostility but soft enough for you to not say anything.
“You don’t want to find out what I'll do to myself if you leave, right?” His words made you nauseous almost instantly. Geto spoke in a soft, comforting voice, but his words were sick.
He would caress your hair, occasionally pressing soft kisses to your temple, allowing his words to sink into your pretty little head. “I’m sure that you wouldn’t want to be the one to blame if I went through with anything precious”.
It was all sick; he was doing it on purpose. You knew that Geto struggled with his purpose of living, but you never knew that he would go to this level.
You couldn’t fathom the thought of not having Geto in this world; you still loved him even if you wanted to separate from him. You agreed to stay for the sake of keeping Geto alive.
Geto reverts back to his usual gentle self almost immediately when you tell him that you’ll stay. It was scary how rapidly he could change. Geto knew this, and he used it to his advantage.
Even if you planned to go through with leaving, he wouldn’t have let you. You’re his main purpose for living; Geto can’t lose that.
Kento Nanami:
The type to stalk
Nanami would spend a bit of time asking you to reconsider, but if you want to leave, he’ll let you go.
A few tears will be shed, but not much. Nanami doesn’t waste too much time begging because he knows that you’ll ultimately end up doing what you want.
Before you leave, Nanami will ask you for at least a hug and a kiss. As heartless as Nanami seems, he loves you to bits and pieces.
Nanami didn’t plan on stalking you; it just happened. He started by simply driving to your house to give him peace of mind, then peeking through your windows late at night.
A few weeks after the breakup, you take notice of an unfaltering feeling that someone is watching you. There wasn’t necessarily anything out of place; you just felt it. You couldn’t tell if it was because you were alone now or if someone was actually watching you.
Once you finally let the feeling go, everything gets worse. It starts with flowers at your doorsteps daily. You couldn't help but shake the feeling that Nanami might have been the one doing it.
It all escalated to feeling followed every time you left the house. You couldn’t help but notice someone's presence every now and then when you were about your day. You started to leave the house less and less because of it.
Nanami feels guilty for following you around, but he can't help it. Nanami can't bear the thought of something happening to you when he’s not there to protect you. His only resort is to secretly keep an eye on you as much as he can.
Everything was unbearable. Ever since the breakup, you have felt terribly paranoid and scared. You sit up at night sometimes thinking about how safe you would be if you had only stayed with Nanami.
You attempt to continue on with your life, but none of it ends. Your paranoia was consuming you whole. Thoughts of just running back to Nanami were becoming excruciatingly loud. Who else would protect you?
You tried desperately to continue on without him, but the truth is that you couldn’t. Not before long, you found yourself at his door once again. Regardless of whether he was stalking you or not, you just wanted it all to end.
Nanami would happily welcome you back with open arms. His desperation for you led to him doing things that he never thought he would do.
Nanami puts your mind at ease when you explain what you went through after leaving. He made sure to make you feel like he could protect you from absolutely everything in this world, which is why you came back.
Nanami can’t help but have some type of guilt in the back of his mind because of what he did to you. At least he has his baby back in his arms.
