i hope people know that an extended version of the lego monkie kid opening exists in cantonese :D it’s sung and written by swk’s VA dicky cheung (he voices him in the season 1 cantonese and taiwanese mandarin dubs and is his actor in the 1996 jttw show)

the cantonese dub of lmk is on lego’s youtube but there’s only 3 seasons and the taiwanese dub only has 1 season for some reason? there’s an extra rap at the start of both their openings but the lyrics are different! swk also has extra dialogue during his fight with the demon bull king where he makes tons of beef puns LMAO

i've seen a lot of dp fans in the dpxdc fandom talk about not having access to comics so here. it's completely free, good quality scans (for most things), basically any dc comic you could want is there. you should have an adblocker but the ads aren't the worst if you don't, just noticeable and annoying. you're not gonna get a virus, i've been using the site for years, as have many other fans.

if you genuinely want to read the comics, take advantage of the sites comic fans have been using. there's new and old stuff and everything in between. crossovers too. whatever you want to read, you'll find there.

you're not a bother at all!! actually, if no broadcaster in your country is interested in showing figure skating, you might be in luck - the International Skating Union streams all major competitions on Youtube except in countries where a broadcaster has bought the rights! try clicking on this link and see if the video plays for you. if it does not, then you'll need a VPN, which sounds scary and tech-y but isn't too hard to figure out. there are a couple of free options—one built into the browser Opera, Proton VPN, or a Google Chrome extension called VeePN. i personally pay for Mozilla VPN because it's (to my knowledge) a good company that cares about data privacy, and i've been happy with the product.

So Tsumiki's spawn wasn't "that" abnormal. I only found out because last night I came across this fan project (google "JJK google earth" for a reddit post) It's got most if not all JJK irl locations up to ch 213... I've came to a new appreciation for JJK after seeing the amout of different irl locations Gege used...

new compromise where i stop myself from using up all my blank dvds by taking a break from burning when i havent watched all the shit ive already burned (thus far its 3 assorted movies n most of cowboy bebop) and i theorise this will indeed work :+1: been getting into watching tv more too insrtead of falling down the fanfic hole (ao3 you need to keep outaging its vital for my mental health) so im watching shit yippee. this isnt stopping me from adding more n more shows to qbittorrent tho

what are your thoughts on safe home?

I thought it was really well done, anon. Shows about domestic violence are pretty hard to get right, I think, and they do run the risk of turning into a PSA half the time, and while I do think Safe Home slipped on that line a few times, I think overall it was an empathetic story with an interesting narrative structure and some really nice performances. Aisha Dee is always great, but I think Mabel Li is one of the most exciting emerging Australian actresses working right now, and it was so good to see her in a role like this.

My biggest issue with it was really the length of it. Being only four episodes I think robbed it of the chance to really drill deep into the characters, especially given it had a pretty substantial cast. Sometimes the little vignette subplots felt like they took us away from the core story, but at the same time, those little vignette subplots also were there to really hone in on the point of the story, so I can't be too mad about them. Mostly I just wish they'd had more time and space to really do all the storylines and characters justice.
