do you think edward alice sibling relationship is the strongest one
is water wet? does the sun rise each morning and set each evening? of course it is anon!!!!
I know you’re probably looking for a longer, full, meta-length answer but it’s such a no-brainer that I can’t fathom having to go into too much detail. these two have a bond so weird and strong that it is quite literally *The* supernatural relationship in a book series about the supernatural and their relationships (familial, romantic, etc). alice loved edward before she knew him. edward talks about how he and alice have to look out for one another, because who else could really relate to or know anyone else as well as they know each other. they’re two bitchy and insufferable peas in a pod! a dynamic gaslighting gatekeeping duo! the mind-reader and the future-seer! the psychic siblings!
i love them and think edward is at his most tolerable when he’s around alice (for the most part). it’s a fantastic relationship your honor, 10/10

UNHOLY ALLIANCE SPOILERS (again, I can’t stop yapping about this update):
Either I’m the slowest person alive, or I just think too much (though it’s fun to do so). BASICALLY I was just playing my game and thought over the Bishop’s final quest until I realized all of their dialogue had a connection to their injuries. I’ll start from the most obvious to the more vague.
First up- Leshy
Tumblr media
In this dialogue, he makes the connection to his blindness and his ignorance, being so out of touch with reality that he didn’t know the extent of what he was getting himself into.
Narinder’s plans were not at all a bother to him, having his own cult to run and experiment with. He relished in the devotion his chaotic ways had to offer, and because of his foolishness, he lost his sight; hence see no evil.
Now for the genocide. Once again, he explains he didn’t know the full extent of what he was getting himself into, more focused on what had happened rather than what will happen. Therefore he thoughtlessly agreed, seeing how his siblings were compliant to Shamura’s orders.
He never saw the evil in the actions of his peers until it was too late, his eyes acting as both a symbol and punishment for his ignorance to all around him.
Next- Kallamar
Tumblr media
This can be easily skipped if you didn’t pay attention to the dialogue, but he explains that all of which he has heard he wishes to unhear.
I already explained this in my other post, but he knew of Narinder’s plans, and instead of speaking out, he cowers and wishes he never knew of it in the first place. Unlike Leshy, who remained ignorant on the matter, Kallamar knew too much.
For the genocide (Which might explain the Mystic Sellers description of Kallamar), he hesitates when he hears of Shamura’s orders to kill all Lambs. A part of him knows that what they’re doing is wrong, but rather than listening to his sense of justice, he complies. An action in which he regrets.
He hears too often, and wishes to not hear. He listens, and yet doesn’t listen to himself. His ears act as a symbol and punishment for his cowardice and lack of self.
Now- Heket
Tumblr media
This one is a little less obvious than the previous ones, but only a small part admits it. Heket shows her love for her siblings quite often despite being the cruelest of them. So imagine her despair once everything fell out of order.
For Narinder’s plans, she was most likely unaware of them before it was too late. And once everything started falling out of order, she was demanding for everything to go back to normal, urging her siblings for all that has gone wrong to right itself, and finally in her most vulnerable state, begged for the family she once knew to come back together, knowing that it never would.
After being left vulnerable, her despair turned into rage targeted at Narinder. She was determined to protect her remaining siblings, and in turn, immediately agreed upon hearing Shamura’s orders to carry out the slaughter of all Lambs. She heard the lambs scream and beg with their lungs, cry for lost loved ones, and demand justice for those who have been wronged. Though, she showed no remorse; for she knew there was none.
She screamed and begged for her family, and in turn heard others scream for their own. Her throat symbolizes and acts as punishment for the injustice she faced herself, and for the injustice she caused others.
Finally- Shamura
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shamura’s dialogue is the longest of the Bishops, as well as the most confusing for me to pick apart.
Shamura knew of Narinder’s plans, and yet decided to tell nobody. They knew of the risks of supporting such practices, yet went along with it anyways until the consequences were apparent. Then and there, they decided to put a stop to it all, banishing Narinder to his own realm.
This part would just be a guess in order to connect the dots, but I have a feeling that Shamura and Clauneck conversed one day. On that day, the cards were drawn, telling of a lamb that would slay all the Bishop and set the Chained One free. Shamura didn’t accept this, and politely dismissed themselves, almost immediately thinking on how to avoid such a fate.
One day after resting for years, they come up with a solution- that solution is of course, to destroy all lambs. They order their remaining siblings to hunt them down, spreading propaganda, putting bounty’s on their heads, and spreading plauge and famine across the lands.
They feed their siblings lies about the prophecy, twisting and molding their fate to bring a sense of hope to their siblings. Eventually, they start believing their own lie, convincing themselves that blood must be spilled in order to preserve the Old Faith.
They spin and mold the web to their liking, though eventually it will all come apart, and all that they’re left with is guilt. Their skull symbolizes the strings they pulled. The lies they fed. The guilt of knowing. The guilt of deceiving. All of it. For it is the way they will be punished.
All of these are basically my take on the whole thing, and are not confirmed besides the dialogue. I just enjoy piecing everything together because this game is just so amazing!! Also if you made it to here, thank you for reading all of that, and if you have any thoughts or corrections, feel free to comment and or repost!!

Ok so how about Rhaenyra x Harwin’s wife!reader being gay at Court and confusing the fuck out of everyone who were expecting them to hate each other.
I just know there'd be a polycule if he had been married lol
I wanted to squeeze this into Pride month, but time was not on my side. Anyway, thank you for your request. I've altered it slightly to fit my WLW agenda, but I hope you enjoy it all the same!
Tumblr media
Warnings: Allusions to smut, but nothing too spicy. Mentions of character death. Word count: ~700
You’d never liked to share. It had been something you had learned to do because you had to. If you wanted the affection of your Princess, you’d have to accept that the Commander of the City Watch desired her too. Rhaenyra was all too eager to please you both, and so you’d settled into an arrangement which allowed for her to entertain the both of you.
By day you were the dutiful wife of Ser Harwin Strong and lady in waiting to Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. By night you were tangled between Rhaenyra’s sheets, a deep seated ache of satisfaction settling within you as you watched her fall apart around your tongue and fingers. That was unless it was his night, and then you’d go to sleep alone, pushing down the acrid sensation of jealousy that rose within your throat, threatening to suffocate you.
It wasn’t that you minded Rhaenyra being with Harwin; your marriage to him was purely out of convenience, an alliance to placate the Strong family’s desire for him to finally settle down, and to avert suspicion of the close nature of both your relationships with the Targaryen Princess. Who would dare to question Rhaenyra spending so much time with her lady in waiting? And who could deny your lord husband for simply wishing to be in the presence of his lady wife? You felt no envy when it came to your husband, you didn’t love him, but there was plenty when it came to Rhaenyra. She’d never fully be yours.
You had done your duty in giving Harwin children - another ruse to avoid supposition - and birthed him a son and a daughter. You loved your children dearly, but had taken no joy in the act of creating them. Harwin’s body felt wrong against your own, it was hard where Rhaenyra was soft. The familiar scent of rosewater and dragon smoke you’d come to love was nowhere to be found in his natural musk. You were grateful to have struck an agreement with him upon the birth of your second daughter that no further marital visits between the two of you were necessary.
Rhaenyra’s own children bore no resemblance to Laenor, which was both amusing and unsurprising to you. You and your husband kept her so busy, she scarcely had time to couple with her own, but you had the distinct impression that she had no desire to, and neither did he. You’d overheard the whispers at court; your children and hers could have been siblings. Essentially, they were, but that was something you’d never admit aloud, and neither would she.
It is a bright, warm day and you are basking in the rosy glow of having your Princess all to yourself. Harwin has been called away to deal with a matter at Harrenhal, leaving you and Rhaenyra alone. The pair of you have spent the afternoon enjoying the Red Keep’s gardens and sipping on light peach wine, the effects of which have made you feel carefree, lightheaded and more than a little careless in the familiarity of your interactions.
You are oblivious to the pointed stares of those seated around the dining table as you wrap your lips around Rhaenyra’s fingers, lapping the viscous liquid from the tips of them as she laughs softly while hand feeding you honeyed fruits. The sweetness envelopes your tongue, causing you to emit a satisfied “mmm”, as she watches you, a hunger that you know all too well lighting up her vibrant blue eyes.
The two of you giggle recklessly as you stumble towards her quarters, not caring who sees as you haphazardly pluck at the lacing of each other’s gowns. You make no effort to be quiet when the pair of you writhe against each other, hot and sticky, as the humid air clings to every naked curve put on display. A desperate clash of lips, teeth and tongue that leaves you both exhausted but happily sated.
It is only when the morning comes and brings with it the arrival of the news of the fire at Harrenhal that your demeanour becomes more subdued. You fight the urge to smile at the revelation of your husband’s death, horrible though it is, you have never liked to share.

mad woman — ethan landry (part two)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media

summary: ethan and y/n talk about their deceased siblings and begin to bond.
pairing: gf!ethan landry x gf!fem!reader
based on: mad woman by taylor swift
previous part ; next part
Tumblr media
SURPRISINGLY, BAILEY LET HER JOIN THE PLAN. It didn’t take a lot of convincing on Ethan’s part, they all suffered the loss of a loved one, so they knew the thirst for revenge Y/N must be feeling.
“I’m sorry you have to go through that… being close to the person that killed your sister must be tough, kid” Bailey said, putting a hand on her shoulder.
“It is, but I know that this pain is worth it. We are going to make them regret taking them away from us”
“Well said” Quinn spoke, and Y/N sent her a smile. “We should head back to the dorm”.
“Sure. Thanks for everything, Mr. Kirsch” Y/N said with a warm smile.
“You are welcome anytime” he replied.
“Bye, dad” the Kirsch siblings said in unison as they left their dad’s home.
“You two go, I have other plans” Quinn told them.
“Paul?” Y/N asked with a playful smile.
“God, no. That is over, this one is called Lorenzo” the red head informed.
“Uh, Lorenzo. I like it, have fun” the girl waved at her roommate.
“You too, but if you have too much fun please don’t tell me” the girl’s voice distorted as she walked away, but they were still able to hear her.
Ethan’s blood rushed into his cheeks “Sometimes she speaks too freely”.
“You say that now, but if…” she stopped herself from going further and killing the mood “Sorry”.
“Hey, no. It’s okay, you can talk to me, you know?”
Ethan and her weren’t close at all. This new alliance brought them closer, yes, but the word ‘friend’ was still a bit too big for their relationship. However, he was the closest person she had at the moment, it had been so long since the last time she talked to someone without having to fake or hide emotions, that she just gave in.
“I miss her, a lot” she grimaced. Vulnerability was not something she was accustomed to show. “I don’t have the luxury of having other siblings, and even if I did, what I had with Amber was something unique. All the things that once bothered me about her, are the ones I now miss. I would give everything to hear her awful rap playlist that I absolutely loathe, or the loud and tiring parties she hosted despite knowing how uncomfortable I felt at them, and god I even miss her talking my ear off about that awful horror movie franchise she adored”.
“She sounds just like my brother” he sighed. “It’s nice that you had a nice relationship with her”.
“You weren’t close to Richie?” she asked.
Ethan shook his head “No. Our age difference, our different taste in things, we just never connected that much. And…”
“Yeah?” she encouraged him.
“I guess part of me has always resented him” he confessed, there was a trace of guiltiness in his statement.
“Can I ask why?” Y/N asked carefully.
“He was my dad’s golden boy. You know when kids asked their parents which child is their favourite and they say they love them all equally, even though it’s not true, as to not hurt their feelings?”
“Yes” she said unsure.
“Well, my dad wasn’t like that. He favoured Richie and admitted it proudly. And Quinn, being the only girl, also has a special place in his heart. His little girl, you know? And I am just there”
“Ethan…”
“I’m not saying he doesn’t love me, ‘cause I know he does, but Richie is gone, and I’m here and that disappoints him a bit” he had his eyes glued to the pavement, not daring to look her in the eyes. And Y/N wanted to throw up, cry and hug him at the same time. “Sorry. I overshared, right?” he tried to laugh it off.
“How long have you been bottling that up?” she asked softly.
“The resentment? My whole life. The thought of my father being disappointed I wasn’t the one who died? For a year” he replied.
The vulnerable environment encouraged her to grab his hand “Well, you can come to me whenever you want to, no matter how dark your thoughts are”.
Ethan smiled, and Y/N was in awe at how perfect his teeth were and how mesmerising his smile was “The same goes for you, Y/N/N”.
They continued their walk towards the dorms with the sound of the busy streets of New York resonating in their ears. None of them said a word until they reached Ethan’s apartment, which was the closest one. He had to let go of her hand—and regretting it instantly when he felt the warmth of her palm leaving his skin—, as he looked for his keys.
“Well, thank you for everything, Ethan. I’ll let you rest”
“See you tomorrow, Y/N/N” he gave her his dazzling smile once more before closing the door.
Y/N went to bed with the a good feeling on her chest. She finally was about to get the revenge she had desired and also, maybe, she had gained someone to talk to, a potential friend.

@madsy-prongs OKAY !!!
For a small bit of background context, I had this idea that Tommy is Mumzas' child because it's poetic in a way. A boy who loves the living so much being a child of death. Anyway
Kristin tampers with Tommys' respawn point so when he gets revived, he ends up in the Grimlands.
She was intending to send him to Pixandria, the copper king being another one of her "children" (like Tommy, aka a death prophet), but the magic was disrupted.
fWhip finds Tommy wandering around his forge in awe of all the machinery and inventions. It's not exactly unusual to see another person in the forge, like members of the engineering guild, their apprentices, messengers looking for him, etc, but a pale teenager in raggedy clothes? That's a bit weird. Not the weirdest thing that's happened to fWhip but weird.
Tommys' head wounds from being beaten to death are still there, still bleeding, Tommy just genuinely didn't notice the pain while so heavily focused on the other sensations that come with being alive again.
Fwhip notices, though, and Tommys' broken prosthetic arm. One panicked conversation and a whole load of mistrust later, Tommy is in the infirmary wing of the Eastvale manor.
fWhip promises that he's just doing his due diligence making sure Tommy doesn't bleed to death in his forge then he can go back to living under floorboards and eating trash. He manages to get a laugh out of Tommy for that one.
That "little stay" ends up extending when he turns out there are a lot more wounds on him than just a forehead cut and a few bruises, turns out getting beaten to death multiple times kind of hurts! Who knew (:
Then it gets longer when fWhip starts working on a replacement arm for Tommy, nothing he hasn't done before. I headcanon the Grimlands exporting prosthetic limbs and other mobility aids for all kinds of species, with their technical geniuses inventing ones even for merfolk or winged people.
Then that stay becomes indefinite when Tommy let's slip that he's in danger, that someone is wanting to murder him "again", and not just regularly kill him, permanently kill him.
fWhip had honestly just assumed the white streak in Tommys' hair was premature greying or an accident with ice magic, Gem had some white streaks in hers after Scott used his ice magic on her. He didn't think it was because Tommy was genuinely brought back from the dead.
After that, fWhip promises that so long as Tommy is in the Grimlands, he is under fWhips' protection and that no more harm will come to him. He's not going to allow some child-abusive maniac to hurt Tommy again, not when fWhip, regrettably, has gotten quite attached to the loud, foul-mouthed teenager.
fWhip schedules an audience with Pixl after that, to discuss "personal matters" he explains in the letter and how it's of utmost urgency. He knows Gem would have books on revival and rejuvenation magic, but he's not looking into the practical side of it, he's looking into the after-effects and spiritual side of it all.
Besides, Tommy said he sometimes sees visions about how someone will die before it happens, and who better to ask about that sort of thing then a very famous prophet of Lady Death, the Copper King himself?
Eventually, fWhip takes on Tommy as an apprentice in the forge. That really solidfys Tommys' stay in the Grimlands being a more permanent thing than originally planned, it's not like he has anywhere else to go after all. He has no family, everyone thinks he's dead, Dream wants him dead.
fWhip is also very purposefully NOT telling his siblings, and subsequently the rest of the Wither Rose Alliance, about his new kid. He's really too busy dealing with everything going on at the moment for that can of worms.
Thats sort of the gist of what I have so far! I will hopefully finish up the art I have to post and maybe even some writing of it soon

Do you have any thoughts on Karenumati and Vijaya?
PS: I love your writing!!!
SO many thoughts!
Karenumati:
Baby.
No, seriously, she's the baby of the PandavaParivaara.
Pampered daughter, definitely. I like to think Shishupala loved his daughter very much, it adds complexities (TM) to their relationship.
She's also pampered by her sisters-in-law/brothers-in-law and Mata Kunti ALL THE TIME. (She feels a bit suffocated at times.)
She fell madly in love with Nakula when she was pretty young, and Shishupala was loathe to deny his daughter anything so he proposed a marriage alliance when she was old enough.
I headcanon her as a curious person. She wants to know the why and the how of everything and anything under the sun. Combine this with the indulgence of literally everyone around her: she asks WAY too many questions (and not always the most tactful ones).
She feels like a replacement many times. When she was younger it stemmed from Shishupala's side glances when he was in a sullen mood (she wondered if he ever thought of his imagined children with Rukmini and judged her wanting); sometimes in Indraprastha she feels like a side-piece, a little ornament that is handled with too much care and only put on display for people to fawn over.
Other than Sahadeva, she gets along with Yudhishthira the most out of all her brothers-in-law. Surprising? Maybe. Despite the wide age gap, Yudhishthira's kindness does not feel indulging; no matter how many questions she asks, he always answers patiently.
Nakula takes her on the best outings and always treats her devastatingly romantically. She loves it, but sometimes she provokes arguments with him just to feel a little bit older.
She desperately wants to understand Rukmini better, but after seeing her father for so many years, she cannot help the distance that is between them every time they meet. But ater Shishupala's death, she breaks down in Rukmini's arms.
She is the stricter parent when it comes to raising Niramitra, having experienced how too much indulgence can spoil you.
She enjoys spending the most time with the kids in Indraprastha (or anywhere else, really) because they only know her as someone older than them and they will treat her with respect because of it.
Krishnaa and Vijayaa are also two of the few people who give her due accord and treat her like an equal. While everyone else do try their best and pull it off most of the time, Renu does feel like they still think of her as a child/younger so they are less likely to treat her as older.
Vijayaa:
I like to call her the Tinkerer.
Hehe. But yes, to me, Vijayaa rarely has need for words because she is always busy tinkering with something, taking it apart or fixing it.
Her hands are never still; they're always busy with some object or the other. If there's nothing in her hands, she cannot keep them still and it's a tic of hers to constantly fidget.
Even while she's in court, she'll be poking at something or the other, and everyone smiles fondly at her.
So. She rarely speaks, much like Sahadeva. She has a soft, lilting voice that can carry across an audience, however, and the kids will often run to her with requests for bedtime stories.
She and Sahadeva loved each other since they were young teenagers, and they would steal time together on his visits to Madra. It wasn't even a question of who she would choose in her svayamvara ceremony.
Her family would tease her about not needing to hold a svayamvara and skip directly to the marriage directly, but she held her ground firmly on wanting a svayamvara for the kingdom's sake.
Their love is quiet but no less passionate than their siblings' more fiery, whirlwind romances. Vijayaa knows she'll always have someone to speak all her unspoken thoughts to in Sahadeva; and Sahadeva knows Vijayaa will always sit in him with silence for hours or days if need be.
She takes Karenumati under her wing when she arrives at Indraprastha, recognizing her need to prove herself and a person to express herself freely with.
Her love language is gifting others; she makes the most beautiful things with her own hands and gifts them to all her family members. She's always working on passion projects; Sahadeva brings back interesting knick-knacks from the corners of the country when he's out travelling because he knows what she likes.
She didn't have many friends in her childhood despite being one of Madra's princesses, because she was too quiet and too absorbed in the works of her hands. The other noble daughters would frequently tease her for this, but she never paid them much heed.
One of her works that she's most proud of is the intricate gold bangles she crafted from scratch for Krishnaa when she gave birth to Shrutasena. Krishnaa never takes them off. (Not even during the Dyuta, I would like to say.)
She tries her best to see Lakshmanaa at least once a year, which is no hardship considering how often the Yadavas visit Indraprastha or the other way around, and frequently writes long letters to her cousin.
That's about it for now, I think? That was long. But I do love the PandavaPatnis.

Am I the only one who wants like a survival game with percy as the mc?
Like, I think he would survive and do pretty good, like, I think he would win.
I don't know how to like explain it but I kkep having this mental image of Percy hiding in the forest and shooting arrows at the other contestants.
I just have a general idea of this in my head.
the wizarding world makes this game every 20 years or so, it's for entertament but it comes from a tradition of sacrifices. It's mainly in wizarding Europe and they select 5 contestant from each country as a "team" but they don't really have to play like one, they are a team for their country but can make alliances with other countries. They can team with whoever they want but the public will see it and they can see them as a traitor to their country or something. In my head, there is a floating device that follows each contestant until their death, following everything they're doing. Maybe this is a rip off of hunger games but there isn't any district nor a organization whose doing it, like, the contestants are chosen by a magic book that the bc wizarding society created, or something like that.
They cannot bring their wand but they can make their own wand inside the arena if they want. The area is like a giant forest full of creatures, becuase they also play for some reason but they are more sacrifices that willing contestants. Who are they sacrificing them for? Idk. Merlin? To keep the magic society going becuase they feed of young souls of wizards and witches?
I would like that England's team were the golden trio, but i think they deserved a break. So maybe Percy is in there with the twins and other two randoms. That would be a fun dynamic.
There is a post floating around about a survival game with just the weasley where it said that Percy would sure win and that his siblings would gang up on him so the others have a higher chance of survive. And that probably Percy would hunt one by one, except Ginny because he has a soft spot and that is why Ginny would win. If I remember correctly it also talked about each of the siblings traits but I just focused on Percy, what a suprise.
But anyway, I think that getting the twins involved in this wold be really fun, all three of them are really good at strategizing, the twins because they have to be good at planning ahead to pull those pranks and Percy because he thinks ahead of everyone and seems as someone who is alwasy prepare for anything tbh. The other teammates could be use for plot convenience, maybe they are older than any of them and are scare of death so they make agreements with other teams to not kill them and they would let them known essencial info about the other teammates or something like that of bride them with materials.
It can also use af love interesed if you want, like idk, or like someone, it doesn't matter if the weasleys or the extras and there is a conflict in the team that will make them separeted. It would be fun if the twins and Percy would be splitting and then they all regret and can't sleep knowing that they may just sentence their brother to death.
I feel that Percy would regret it faster, as it's his little brothers who we are talking about. He loves them even if they annoy him. The twins would really mind until they idk, discover that Percy got badly injured.
I also think that the twins are really handy, they have created prototypes products for their joke shop. I think that they have knowledge to make things from scratch. Percy would have a harder time but he would be find. I think he knows how to use different weapons but he hasn't really properly used them until know.
I want them to be about to win but in a last minute thing Fred gets injure and they don't get to win or something. Idk but I want someone dead and so there is a revenge saga and there is a murder spree and they win, but at what cost.
Or make just one of them win.
Either way, someone important to the winner has to die. Death makes it so much more fun.

Characterization Through Quotes
My prompt is, “A quote about their best friend.”
Your prompt is, "A quote about punishment."
.
Izjik: "Sepo is a know-it-all, bad tempered, surly son of a bitch who never learned even the slightest bit of manners. And I wouldn't have him any other way. There's no one better to have in your corner, fighting tooth and nail beside you. And there's no one better to sit with after the fight's over when your heart starts aching."
Sepo: "As a boy, I'd have been appalled by the idea of befriending a halawemavar, much less even speaking to one. But I have never met a stronger or more caring person than Izjik. I know with a certainty that I would be dead many times over without her. I have never loved anyone like that since my brother passed, and I doubt I ever will again."
Twenari: "I couldn't say which of my friends is my favorite, however, I guess Djek is the closest to me in age. I love Izjik and Sepo, don't get me wrong, but neither of them is going to sneak me into a party. Djek always does his best to make sure I have fun and actually get to act like a kid."
Djek: "I love that funky, little sorcerer kid! She's hilarious and she doesn't even know it. I don't remember my siblings all that well, but I think having Twenari around is pretty close to what having a little sister is like."
Astra: "I ain't had a friend in such a long time, I almost get surprised when I look over and see Mashal sittin' in my vardo. He makes me wanna be a better person, not just a better mage."
Mashal: "Astra has been beyond kind to me since I woke up. Even if I don't remember any of my other friends, I'm sure I was lucky to meet her. I... I just hope we can stay friends, no matter how I might feel deep down."
Ivander: "Oh, I suppose my answer would have to be Ceyrel. I've always called her just a work friend, but she shows up to make dinner for me when I'm not feeling well, and she always laughs at the stories I save for her. She means more to me than she knows. It's probably for the best to keep it that way."
Elsind: "I have a lot of friends! Which is a little surprising, to be honest. Mael always tells the best jokes and Indre might act tough, but she always takes the time to make sure I'm doing ok. Everyone at the SLP has been nothing but kind to me. They push me to be better than I am."
Avymere: "My line of work doesn't leave time for many friends. Casual alliances, yes, but an Archduchon can afford no true companions. Either they become a weakness to be exploited or a means by which traitors can slither close. I keep myself above such bonds because that is what's best for my city. Any longing I feel is not a factor in that decision."
.
I'll tag @patrickrennie @persnickety-peahen @diabolical-blue @elsie-writes and anyone else who wants to give it a whirl :)

Hiiiii!! I see you in my notes all the time so I wanted to ask for Hunter x Princess! Reader? Perhaps with the line "It's always been you"? It's one of my favorite tropes! ~jedipoodoo
Hunter x Princess!Reader {Multi-Ch. Fic}:  "It’s Always Been You" [Part 1]
Tumblr media
Synopsis:  Hunter has been hired to be your personal royal bodyguard for a few months now.  Amidst navigating secret crushes and the social pressures from your parents, (regarding both Hunter’s and your own behaviours), things go sideways at one of the castle’s formal events.  Coming from a sheltered life, how will you cope and escape with Hunter?  Will you ever tell each other how you feel?  How will your parents react afterwards if you do?
WARNINGS:  Mentions themes of classism and racism (against Clones).  Mentions of misogynistic views of princesses’ behaviour.  Reader is fem!coded, and referred to with the pronouns “she/her”.  Reader wears a dress. Slightly suggestive mention of knife play (by Reader in a daydream); however it could also be interpreted as admiration for Hunter’s knife skills.  Slight angst and jealousy from Hunter.  Canon-based violence (blaster fire and hand-grenade).  No use of "Y/N". Hunter watched on protectively as you seemed to just float through the room.  You were ethereal to him.  Completely stunning in your expensively elaborate gown, gliding gracefully throughout the ballroom, talking to various contacts and allies to your kingdom.
Although, to be fair, Hunter thought you were stunning even when you thought you looked like a mess.  Hunter thought you were just gorgeous no matter what you wore, no matter how your makeup looked—if you even had any on in the first place, and no matter how much or how little hair you had on your head or body overall.
Normally Hunter absolutely despised any kind of solo body-guard mission.  If he experienced any over-stimulation or sensory overload, there were no escapes or asking his vode (siblings—brothers/sisters) to step in for him.  These types of assignments also usually meant wearing his armour almost constantly, even longer than front-line missions.  It, usually, meant he’d be breathing the same stuffy air of his helmet while also being around just as many stuffy, stubborn, stuck-up politicians and royals who didn’t value or see him as a human.
Your parents, when they hired him through their alliance with The Republic, had made it clear out front what his purpose was and not to get any ideas about their daughter as he, at least in their eyes, “wasn’t even a real man” and thus “would never be good enough for her”.
“You are to be her protection day in and day out.  You are not to speak unless spoken to, or unless giving security instructions regarding our daughter’s safety.” The King had given Hunter such a steely look that, if he wasn’t a highly trained super-soldier, would’ve triggered anyone else’s fight or flight response.
“You are also not to touch her unless absolutely necessary for her safety.  You are to keep your helmet on unless in your private quarters.”
‘The same private quarters which could barely be considered a room in comparison to how much square-footage they actually have in their castle’, Hunter inwardly rolled his eyes.
“You will not sit on the job, and you will stick to your scheduled breaks for rest, meals, and any refresher needs.” The Queen continued with her stern speech and cut-throat glare to make her points to Hunter.
‘Ironic that you asked to see my face for this part though’, thought Hunter, helmet tucked under his arm.
“Do we have an understanding… Sergeant Hunter was it?” Despite all her reproving strictness, the Queen took a second to look directly in Hunter’s eyes to ask him.
‘More likely out of ensuring my comprehensiveness than any real respect’, Hunter’s thoughts continued as he remained standing at attention.  “Understood, Your Highness”.
“Why should we care about his name?” The King not-so-subtly seethed while the Queen turned half a degree to side-eye her husband, unwilling to drop her collected exterior in the moment.  “CT-9901 you will do as told or risk decommissioning when we report back with our review to the Republic Senate.”  The King had such a look of disgust one would think that Hunter was a bug he accidentally stepped on.
“Yes Sir”.  Internally, Hunter wanted nothing more than to get back to his brothers.  At least by then he’d be able to rant, eat, and sleep comfortably.
Maybe it’s why he liked you so much.  You were one of the rarities, (aside from perhaps a select few senators like Padmé Amidala and Riyo Chuchi, amongst some others), who never looked down upon him and his vode.  Any and all of his vode.
You held a certain charm, an elegant radiance that didn’t stop at the surface.  You held everyone’s best interests at the forefront.  You wore your heart on your sleeve, and much like him, weren’t afraid of standing up for your loved ones—or those who were innocent—no matter the consequences.  Even if you both fought for the galaxy in very different ways.
As the event was coming to a close, you quietly coasted over to where he was standing near the entrance.
You’d only caught him without his armour, in his black undersuit, a couple of times.  And each time was like a treat to see the definition of his lithe, muscular frame and respectably v-lined torso; even if you had felt your face heat up and rushed back out of the room muttering apologies as fast as possible.  For better or worse, it helped that his face was just as hot too, in both senses of the word.
You also loved how his armour only served to make his frame larger.  However, you wished your parents hadn’t requested ordered him to keep his helmet on.
While it worked for ominous intimidation, he wasn’t a robot.  He was still human and deserved to be treated as such.  Royalty or not.  Republic soldier or not.
“Thank you for your service tonight.  I wish I could grab you some refreshments, you must be parched.”  In a subtle attempt to lighten the mood, you gave him a gracious smile and a slight half-joking curtsy to top it off.  He’d been here for a couple months, but even after a few days of his presence, you’d long since realized how he was truly regarded.
“Thought you royals weren’t supposed to ‘grab’ anything, Princess”, Hunter whispered snidely to you, still remaining in parade rest.
“Well…  You know that I’ve never been one to blindly follow rules, Sarge.”  You flashed a cheeky grin his way as you turned back towards the refreshments table.
Most of the older, more traditionally-minded guests had left by now so you felt that you could get away with requesting some of the food and drinks to be brought up to your room.  You planned to later sneak it down to Hunter, even if he had warned you against doing so in the past.  He was grateful, but he didn’t want to see you get in trouble over him either.  (Nevermind the fact that he’d be in a lot of trouble too for even consuming such).
Suddenly a shot and flash from blaster fire rang out and everything seemed to go in slow-motion for you.  Another bang went off but your ears were ringing too much to notice anymore.  Caught in the blast, you were thrown towards the ground.  You only just managed to use the last of your strength to roll under the table in an attempt to avoid the crushing weight of panicked, stampeding guests and help-staff trying to exit the room.
“Osi'kyr!” (Strong exclamation of surprise or dismay). Hunter swore loudly as he saw you fall and tried to get closer to you.  He’d seen the perpetrator but his priority remained with you and so the chase was left for the palace guards to handle.
You hadn’t had any combat training given the King’s ‘traditional’ misogynistic views of how princesses ‘should’ behave.  There was no way for you to defend yourself, especially not while wearing a dress that was so weighted with layers.

FFXIVWrite Prompt 14: Telling
General spoilers for DT, but nothing directly about canon and lore. Just introducing some details that deal with my own WoL's story!
While Chantelle was unlikely to stick around Tural as a permanent adviser for The Dawnservants, Traveler that she was, while the matters at hand required to stay and explore the region? Well, she was more than willing at the moment to answer the relevant questions that she could answer. Her role as The Warrior of Light, and her livelihood as an experienced Bard meant she had insights others simply hadn’t been able to develop yet. Many experiences, many traumas…
Nevertheless, Chant was unlikely to turn down an informal meeting when it was half working lunch. (Tural’s varied cuisine was both new and delicious to her) When the Dawnservants were new friends and The Scions fire forged friends, discussions were either extremely productive… Or extremely not. The conversations between Shtola and Thancred alone that had derailed debates…
She wasn’t immune to noticing the upturn of Thancred’s mouth when Koana had asked , “Miss Chantelle, you have much experience with Ishgard and its government, correct?” She had given him a pointed look before she thought to remark, and it looked that at least Shtola had tilted her head towards him with the same type of expression. She may have caught the tail end of rolled eyes from Urianger even.
Koana and Wuk Lamat had noticed -something-, but she had a made a little wave to relax any assumptions. They too had sibling language, after all.
“Yes, I do!”, Chantelle replied. “I became well acquainted with The Temple Knights during my stay in Ishgard, and Aymeric de Borel is still a good friend. I also have friends and acquaintances among the folks of Dravania, the Sea of Clouds and the Churning Mists! And of course, I have the same among the High Houses of Ishgard as well. House Hailleinarte and Fortemps foremost among them.”
“Oh yes, your relationship with House Fortemps is quite telling.”, drawled Thancred. Within a moment of the comment, Urianger had sighed in resignation, Y’shtola had stepped on his foot and Chantelle had deigned to throw one of her wadded napkins at his face. In that order.
“Ummmm, what?”, Wuk Lamat stated. “I feel like I’m missing some context here.”
Koana had cleared his throat. “Chantelle and the new Count Fortemps, Artoirel de Fortemps are in a relationship, correct?” At her nod, he continued. “That much was known in Old Sharlayan.”
“Figures as much.”, Chantelle shrugged. “With my adventuring and my dear Artoirel’s time being managed by House matters and being in the House of Lords of a new republic, we’re effectively betrothed. The only condition upon eventual bonding is that Edmont be in well health when we do have a ceremony.” She took a bite of her taco before continuing. “At least being the Warrior of Light is useful at these times. Sorry, can’t attend this gala, world to save!”
The table tittered with laughter as her comment registered among the group. “Now, I assume you had a reason to ask, Vow Koana? Besides teasing about my love life, like a certain rogue turned gunbreaker of ours?”
“Ah, yes.”, said Koana as he leaned in seriously. “Given that Tulliyolal allied with Rad-at-Han, how open would Ishgard potentially be about a similar alliance?”
Chantelle smiled, from one that morphed from joy to a look more familiar on those who enjoyed political debate. “Let me tell you, Vow, about a conversation Artoirel and I had before I left for the Rite of Succession….”

Thinking about Beleg and Mablung re: the Quenya ban & politics.
Beleg knows very little Quenya to begin with so it's a moot point for him - he also does not deal with elves outside of Doriath very often, especially not in a political capacity, usually he is on the marches or in the wilds, so I don't think he is ever really presented with a situation where he would have to make the choice.
I don't think he really has thoughts on it way or another - he obeys it because he trusts and loves Thingol, but wouldn't feel any particular guilt over breaking it. He generally (and incorrectly) considers himself apart from Beleriand politics. He's just Beleg, who lives in the forest and protects his people. I think he is largely in denial about the amount of influence he could exert in Doriath and outside of it as a representative of Thingol.
This is reflected in his stance on the Noldor in general & Fëanorions, which is generally a slightly wary curiosity, coupled with respect for the renowned warriors among them.
Mablung on the other hand plays a much more obvious role in Doriath's politics. He's Thingol's ambassador, he's got much more outright authority and sway in Doriath than Beleg. He and Daeron are sent to the Mereth Aderthad, he's the one present at many important events where Beleg seems to be absent. He has a much keener sense of the politics of Beleriand and more of a natural inclination towards politics in general. He understands people and how to deal with them. And he is well aware of how he can influence politics within Doriath - which is why he often says very little on important matters, as he would not want to undermine Thingol, who is both his king and his friend.
He also is fluent in Quenya, as one might expect of an ambassador. After the Ban, he never speaks a word of it again. In his position, he has no real choice: it would be a bad look for Thingol if his own ambassador didn't listen to his law. More than that though, I think Mablung is angry - his parents were among the Teleri, for all he knows, these kin-slayers killed his kin in the most literal sense.
He doesn't hate the Noldor - he would get along perfectly civilly with any of them, as long as they were civil with him in return. He doesn't think they are particularly different to the Sindar at all. But there is a lingering bitterness in him, who never got to see the Trees, who at heart longs for the peace of Valinor, the peace of past Beleriand. To Mablung, the coming of the Noldor represents a moment when his life became so much harder and more complicated and dangerous. It is hard for him to disentangle that from the fact that most of them have not wronged him personally. As for the Fëanorions - he is not fond of them at all. He respects Maedhros and Maglor the most, because they turned up to the Mereth Aderthad, so he considers they at least tried to make alliances and forge relationships. The others he views with wariness at best, and outright dislike at worst depending on the sibling and the point in the timeline.

some Dave family & childhood/adolescence headcanons:
bc I wanna dissect this guy and his mind fr-
(fyi I'm desi (a person of South Asian descent born in another country), and I'm like 99% sure Dave is desi as well, so this is just a note for ppl so y'all are aware that I'm an Indian too! however, if anything at all mentioned below doesn't sound right (and not opinions, though I'd love to hear those too, I mean like actual info) pls lmk!)
uh, also mentions of homophobia, internalized homophobia, and trauma relating to mysophobia
some of these might be subject to change or tweak here and there, but overall, I'm satisfied with what I have!
- his father is a prestigious businessman who was born in Canada—he worked his way from the ground up as his parents (Dave’s grandparents) were immigrants from India; his reputation is everything to him, and he sees his family as a way to enhance said reputation so that he doesn’t lose face.
- his mother is descended from a wealthy family—she likes to say her great-grandfather was a Baron who’d resided on the India-Nepal border—and she was born in London. It was her grandparents (Dave’s great-grandparents) who emigrated from India to the UK. She’s artistic and the lower level of their house is her own studio.
- Dave’s parents marriage was more of an ‘alliance’ than anything. It’s little details that are also glaringly obvious that signified to him that his parents really didn’t love each other in that way—and if they did, it isn’t a priority; things like his mother hyphenating her last name and not fully taking his fathers, the distance in the way they interact, just slight emotional ticks that let him know their love was more of a facade.
- since then, Dave vowed that if he ever found someone, the love they’d share would be real and genuine—ironically, he became a bit of a romantic (okay, a huge romantic). Obv his parents weren’t good role models in the romance department but all those movies he’d watched are!
- anyway back to the family; Dave’s father spent long hours either at the office or traveling for business. Whenever he’s away, their house feels a bit more like a home—his mother unfurls like a flower and her already overprotective nature due to his weak immune system heightens, and Dave let’s himself believe he’s a normal guy in a normal family when this happens.
- but eventually his father returns and the emotional distance ensues, the high expectations, his mother retreating back into her shell, and the reality hits that he just can’t ever be ordinary.
- only one person has brought up the topic of a divorce and it’s his older brother; it’s mentioned half-heartedly too as though he knew she’ll disagree. It’s a funny thing; Dave’s mother does love his father and maybe that feeling is returned, but there’s so much weight and expectations and pressure they’d placed upon themselves that whatever affection is straining.
- his father reacts to this by overworking himself; his mother by retreating.
- (Dave also vowed that him and his lover won’t have a relationship this complicated. It’ll be simple, cliche, normal, and perfect.)
- Dave has Middle Child Syndrome. He has three other siblings and he’s not just the middle kid, but also the kid who doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing (in other words, who doesn’t seem to be able to ‘enhance the family name rep’. He’s just…There.)
- perhaps that’s why he and his father are so distant—more than his siblings are. No matter how hard he tries to impress his father with anything, it goes awry and/or his father never seems to give him more than a curt nod.
- there’s his older sister: she’s graduated from law school, is 25, and is currently an attorney for their fathers business. She goes with him on his business trips, and Dave is so not jealous. She’s strong, bold, and isn’t afraid to look assholes, sexism, and racism in the eye and shoot them down with her words and expressions. She’s like the shield, a mature presence in the siblings’ lives.
- his older brother is second. A double-major in history and business, and 22 years old. At first, he was meant to take on the mantle of their fathers business when the time was right. However, that took a drastic turn when news got out that his brother was fully and utterly homosexual. Naturally the equation in his fathers head was: ‘homosexuality = hate = losing precious reputation’ and the following arguments that spawned between the two of them from this were some of the nastiest. That’s when Dave, listening in keyholes, over banisters, and in other random locations, found out one huge thing: his father is a homophobe.
- (not that that mattered to him. He’s straight, he liked only girls. Right?)
- anyway, their father told his brother to ‘hide his gayness’ and pretend he’s straight. His brother said that’s bullshit and that everything rich ppl do is ‘pretend’. Long story short, his brother moved out. Currently, he lives in Europe and owns an art gallery that his mother sends her artwork to (his father found out abt that once, and that resulting fight was a mess too--but dw she still does it and he can't stop her).
- Dave hates him. He wants to hate him so fucking badly for leaving him behind, for not listening to their dad and pretending to be straight, for being gay in the first place! Bc he and his brother were tight; they were super close and he’s the one guy Dave felt he could rely on and now?? He’s in another damn continent and Dave’s stuck in this suffocating atmosphere and ugh, goddammit he wants to hate him but he can’t bc he’s his brother and he loves him. So yeah. He def has mixed feelings lmao
- (this is also when his internalized homophobia started. He doesn’t care who other ppl love, he just cares who he loves. He’s not making the same mistake his brother did.)
- his younger sister, 14-15 years old, going into high school. Unlike the rest of their siblings, she doesn't want to be bogged down by office work or business drags. With a foot in every sport imaginable and an expert breakdancer, she's already got her sights set on making it professional in the sports category or becoming a famous dancer (maybe both, depending on how good she is, and she is good). She may only be in 9th grade, but words already spread that she's been scouted to go pro. She takes self-defense classes, helps coach soccer and softball for the younger kids during summers, and basically whatever her siblings didn't do in the athletic field, she's making do with flying colors.
- so yeah. After all this, you can see why Dave feels as lost as he does. Whichever way he turns, there's one or more of his siblings achieving great things, and he's just there...doing nothing...not being recognized because he's good at nothing. Just average. At every goddamn thing.
- normally he'd be fine with that, considering that's what ordinary ppl feel and that's what he wants to be, but it goes at odds with the side of him who wants to impress his father, make his mother proud, also stay at the same level as his siblings are.
- he's just so confused, he doesn't know what to do, and he's too scared to take a step forward. He's just some sheltered rich kid who doesn't understand/know cues in society, what good is that?
- onto his childhood/adolescence; boarding schools. That's basically all he's known. And ofc it has to be fancy boarding schools that the parents of other rich kids send them bc despite Dave being so average, his father will be damned if he sends him off to some middle-grade school.
- boarding schools left their own respective impressions on him as well. He used to be made fun of, teased, and even bullied bc rich ppl are nasty and they don't hold back—even to one of their own (especially to one of their own). One stark incident that left a huge mark on him was when he was eleven and his bullies took things a bit too far--you can't put a bunch of kids whose parents are competitive maniacs in a harsh cooperative and/or political world together and expect nothing crazy to happen; this was one of those crazy incidents. Long story short: some older kids took advantage of the fact that Dave has a weak immune system, lots of dirt was involved, a near burying-alive incident, lots of name-calling and taunting, and, as a result, on top of his immune system problems, he developed mysophobia too—which added more to his germaphobic tendencies.
- Whenever he's in a situation similar to the one that triggered this phobia, he falls into a panic. Those first few weeks, months, couple of years, it was horrible; only his siblings (mainly his younger sister and older brother bc his older sister was away a lot) and his best friend at the time would make any headway pulling him out of that trauma. Overtime (and the only time Dave was actively determined to do smth) he forced himself, his mind, his body reactions, to tune in with his thoughts so that if he ever got into a panic, he'd have a greater chance of pulling himself out instead of relying on someone else.
- but yeah. He has mysophobia, is a germaphobe, and has a weak immune system (smth his father considered a weakness) so him asking if smth is unhealthy or dangerous or "of questionable origin" isn't just him being a hypochondriac.
- that wasn't the only thing he went through in boarding schools. But, before we get to that, imma just say after that incident, he learned his lesson—he learned that rich kids are nasty pieces of shit and he's not gonna get anywhere the way he's being right now. So he excels in the art of people-watching, of careful observation that over time just becomes a habit/instinct—scoping out the opposition. He knows who's the assholes, who're worth interacting with, what to do to stay under the radar. Like magic, the lack of bullies dwindles once he starts doing that, and he finds out that everyone rlly does have something to hide—but he's not a blackmailer, he just observes, gives a mental nod, and moves on with his life.
- he often fluctuates with what his father would expect of him, and what he expects from himself; one of them is the lengths to go to stay on top. For example, despite knowing he's not a blackmailer, he'll still hesitate bc it's "what his father would've wanted".
- anyway, he's switched boarding schools twice—the first bc of the dirt incident, the second bc that's when he got his sexual awakening:
- his best friend in that boarding school—the only person he lets loose around—ends up also being someone he, to his horror, gets a crush on. Why horror, you might ask? Simple: his best friend is a guy.
- see: Dave's internalized homophobia. My dude already has fluctuating feelings abt impressing his dad, if he comes out as liking guys, he just knows that's not gonna be well-received. Literally, the one thing he thought wouldn't ever happen does. So he reacts in typical Dave-fashion: he panics, and does what his mum would do: retreat. He basically runs away from the problem lmfao, he ignores his best friend—which he still feels guilty for to a degree bc the one person who accepted him for who he was and supported him, and he just...stomped on him bc of a sexuality crisis lmao. And that's not the worst of it: he actually nails the head in the coffin by asking his dad to switch him to another boarding school bc his roommate is gay. (And yeah, ofc, they were roommates lmao).
- not his best moment, everyone's well aware.
- (and try as he might, his bisexuality (though he doesn't know that he's bisexual yet) isn't "gone" like he hoped it was; it's more so repressed, buried, deep within him, but in a manner that one tilt off-axis will send him spiraling into another sexuality crisis)
- anyway, he's in his third boarding school when he comes across the Total Drama audition flyer online, and decides why the heck not lmao.
- before his younger sister was born, Dave spent most of his early childhood at his aunts place—his mother's younger sister. The utter normalcy of the place compared to what he’s used to astounds little him, and his visits there leave a great impact on him. His aunt, an art teacher at a local school, had a small, modest house filled with sketches, paintings, murals, and the various designs and bright colors were mesmerizing to him. They took him to a world where only colors mattered and nothing else. His aunt doted on him too, and Dave loved spending his days in that house more than his own place.
- Unfortunately, when he was seven, his aunt died—a mundane way to die for a mundane young lady, he couldn’t help thinking; (I'm thinking either getting hit by a car while crossing the street or what is a 'simple viral infection' which turned out to actually be a tumor). As mentioned though, those times left a great impact on him. Made him realize that it is possible to an extent to lead an ordinary life even while connected to such extraordinary. It also made him harbor a love for art—any and all kind of it (except maybe pottery bc it’s messy, as well as the unconventional types like using dirt and the outdoors as tools).
- her death, if I wanna go the tumor route, will emphasize his germaphobic tendencies and his mysophobia. Depending on which road I wanna take, if I do this, the dirt incident at the boarding school won’t have happened, maybe?? not quite sure 🤔
- given all this, it's no wonder he has attachment issues. Usually, he's standoffish, he keeps to himself, he still interacts with ppl but he doesn't trust or get close to ppl easily. But when he does, when he finds someone who he actually vibes with, he sorta just...latches to them bc of this worry that they might leave him, or the other shoe will drop, or smth bad will happen to them. Basically, it's hard for him to let go. He's capable of it, but it's difficult for him to process—heightened depending on how strong the bond is with the other person.
- being ordinary is the center point of this guy's persona—his core existence. it's why when he auditioned for Total Drama, he's labeled as "A Normal Guy". He didn't mention anything abt his family and if he had to, it was the bare minimum; no one knows who his parents are, who he's connected to, they just know him as a germaphobic average joe.
bonus stuff:
- for his last name, I'm thinking Jha??? idk I rlly like it and I think it suits him.
- vegetarian, due to his cultural background.
- hates horror movies, he's the guy to cling onto your hand or arm if you're watching one with him, and def the type to scream at the jump scares and then curse up a storm.
- gore is a no. it's too messy and makes his stomach twist; same with zombies bc uh...the effects are basically overkill for him. (Shawn dared him during one of their scavengings that if he won the show, Dave would watch a bit of The Walking Dead with him. Rip Dave lmao.)
- he can tolerate horror and gory movies, btw, he just doesn't prefer it.
- I've this standing silly hc that he and Noah are family friends; as a desi, let me tell you, we've a lot of family friends lmao. The opposites of his and Noah's home lives only serve to prove that it is possible to lead a normal life where your emotions aren't secondary to the public.
- despite leading a variety of lives, Dave and his siblings are pretty close! When they were little, they used to have tree-climbing contests, which is why, even if his arms might look chickeny, his legs are pretty strong stamina-wise. They might be more distant now with a lot more differences between them, but they're capable of standing together when need be.
- speaks English and Hindi; due to his upbringing, he's fluent in several other languages too.
- obv closet disaster bi; his main fear is someone will find out and his sexuality will be exposed on international television
- likes to garden, but only if he's wearing gardening gloves; he also feels productive when doing so bc it makes him feel strong tackling the dirt to let beautiful plants grow—like facing his fears to let smth else grow there instead. He has several potted plants in his house.
- while he seems standoffish and 'colder' at first, ironically, he also has the tendency to get emotional easily. Especially when it comes to rejection—he's not very good at handling that. Basically he's a mix of nervousness and distant—he can be quick to judge, especially when it comes to ppl who have different quirks like Beardo and Leonard.
- he learned coding bc that’s what his dad wanted him to do. All he got from his father was the usual ‘curt nods’ so he thinks he’s just average at it. Whenever his dad gives him one of those nods, Dave just assumes that means he’s not particularly exceptional at whatever it is he’s currently doing—even if that may not be the case.
- the attachment issues and emotional detachment of his family are one of the main reasons for his snarky self-aware yet also lack of self-awareness (and, at times, rude) personality; I want to say it's like a shield--the snarkiness, I mean--but it's also basically an ingrained habit.
- doesn't like being called David. his father (and his mother, oftentimes) tend to call him that, and hearing the name reminds him of them and the expectations and pressure and everything he cannot be. He much prefers Dave.

I know with @fe-oc-week is over but I still have one oc left to talk about because she gives me so much brainrot. Art is a commission I had done by the lovely @/cathpunn on IG!
Day 1: Introductions
Her name is Amelia von Atalanta/Amelia Fraldarius and she is the second daughter of Baron Atalanta. She was born in a small village in the Alliance Territory.
She has a very crest called the crest of Atalanta, which hasn't been seen since the War of Heroes. It's a very powerful one where whatever emotion they are feeling, the weather changes and increases their magical ability by 25%. It also has a very big recoil, the more they use it, the more it does damage to her body.
Up until she went to the Officers Academy she was described as emotionless and as cold as Northern Faerghus winters. They do have a sharp tongue and can be very straightforward and blunt. She constantly kept her emotions to herself and in check. But when they left the academy and making new friends who saw her as human, she is a very kind, caring, and warm woman.
Amelia got a few nicknames, The Sword of the Alliance and The Winter Rose by people in the Alliance. The nicknames Rodrigue gave them was My Rose and Little Rose.
Her interests include new fighting techniques, eating new food and learning how to cook or bake them, and weapons. They like cooking, baking, sewing, singing, dancing with Rodrigue, and roses. Her dislikes are her father, her sister, Godfrey, Tiana, fighting, and hunting.
Day 2: Relationships
Godfrey: Amelia despises Godfrey. He never appreciated her and her work. He constantly overworked her and always gave her too many missions. They were always in his shadows with wits and tactics. No matter what they did, Godfrey would always criticizes their way of working and would often reprimand them. She never felt like she meant anything to him.
Tiana: Amelia despises Tiana. They never got along and were always fighting with each other. Every time Amelia did something, it always seemed like it was a plight against Tiana. They always found each other annoying but only put up with each other until something big happened in their lives. Amelia always was in the shadows of Tiana in beauty and her boundless cheer.
Judith: While Judith is Tiana's best friend, Amelia would do their best to avoid her, only talking to her when need be. They have a mutual understanding that they were to protect the Riegan family. They aren't very close and Amelia just thinks she is a nuisance that might get her in trouble with Tiana. Judith thinks of them as very lose friend that she wishes to be close with.
Erwin: Amelia hates Erwin with a passion. He would do anything to rile her up to get her mad and get them in trouble, not knowing the serious repercussions of his actions. He always ending up getting badly hurt, or something worse happened. Regardless, Erwin had so much fun making her mad or pranking her.
Duke Goneril: Duke Goneril was one of her closest, and only, friends growing up. Even with the five age year difference, they were pretty close up until adulthood. They would always confide in each other and always helped each other out when they could. Duke Goneril was one of the very few people who knew most of her secrets. They were like siblings.
Rodrigue: Their relationship at first was very rocky. This was mostly due to their differing opinion of knighthood. She didn't like his uptightness about knighthood and his retainership. Since she figured that she would be stuck with him because of the repercussions that would happen to her and her village, she put in the effort being his partner. And when he put in the effort in their relationship, they started to fall in love with each other and he became the love her life and the person she trusted the most.
Lambert: Amelia and Lambert are like siblings to each other. They trust each other very much and would protect each other. They both say their minds to each other without any judgement.
Seraphina: Seraphina was one of Amelia's first true friends after Seraphina realized that Amelia was always left out of things with her own class. They bonded rather quickly and became like siblings to each other.
Raven: Raven was another really close friends to Amelia. Raven was one of the few people who knew that Amelia had a crest and knew that she was engaged to Rodrigue. Sometimes they butt heads, but they are still very close.
Matthias: Matthias' and Amelia's relationship is that one-sided sibling rivalry that takes place. Matthias, for some reason, always tries to one up Amelia and she never knows why. They constantly has to reassure him that they are very aware of his skill set and is happy to know that they can put their faith him to protect people.
Glenn: Amelia loves her oldest son very, very much. Right around, and after, Glenn's birth, she was very worried about his health and well-being. They weren't ever on great terms with Rodrigue's mother as she was constantly having them both killed. Because of this, she became very protective of him. Glenn was attached to her hip, or Rodrigue's growing up, but later became more independent and Amelia couldn't be more proud of him. Amelia is a little concerned that Glenn got their sharp tongue and sarcastic nature. She could only wish he didn't put so much pressure on himself and does something fun and a little wild.
Felix: Amelia loves her baby boy and was really thrilled that he was born. They would do a lot together and he would tell her everything. She is always very concerned about his health since he is always reckless and always doing dangerous things. She wishes her youngest son could take it easy and relax every once in awhile.
Elena: Elena is one of the most trusted confidant that Amelia had gotten and they trust her with the Fraldarius secrets and inner-workings of the house. While that being said, Elena is like a daughter that Amelia never got and she tries to spoil and tells her that they care about her as much as they can.
Day 3: Backstory
Amelia was born the second daughter of Baron Atalanta. She was born in a small village in the Alliance Territory. Growing up they had a hard time making any friends so she spent much time by themself. They try to stay to themself as much as possible, keeping any and all secrets that she had about herself to themself. She was constantly bullied by the people around her so she learned to keep her emotions to herself and had a hard time expressing her emotions. They do have a sharp tongue, and can be straightforward and blunt. She also tries to keep her emotions in check because of her crest and doesn't want to disrupt the weather patterns and end up destroying the earth.
She never really had a good relationship with her family, not after their mother dying. Their father was a greedy man that would suck her people dry. He never gave them the time of day and only used them as a way to climb the social latter since they had a crest and his oldest daughter didn't. Their sister never cared for them and only saw them as a selfish greedy person getting what they wanted and always getting the best 'stuff.'
When Amelia was young, she would often stray from her village and she stumbled upon an exiled kingdom knight that was near death. She was able to get help and save his life. He tried his best to convince him to be her retainer, but it never worked. After a few more attempts, he became her main care giver. Only a few months later, she walked into the forest to find someone else injured and she was able to save his life. This ended up being the biggest change of fate for them. The man they saved was Godfrey von Riegan. He demanded that they be his retainer. She refused multiple times but ended up accepting after her father forcing her to. Because of this, they ended up becoming retainer for the whole Riegan family.
As she grew up, she was groomed to be the perfect person to be married off to a richer noble for her family's gain. Because of this, she was sent to the best schools, especially to the Officers Academy. This is where their father found the richest of nobles. Since he couldn't marry his child to the Prince of Faerghus, he went with the next best thing, the next Duke of Fraldarius, Rodrigue Achille Fraldarius. This led her to become close friends with the Faerghun nobles and made true friendships with them.
Being in a relationship with Rodrigue, and having the friendships she had with the Faerghun Nobles, made her feel loved and welcomed for the first time. Because of this, she was able to open up a lot more and her true personality came out. She was this kind, caring, and warm person. She also has this air of kind elegance that she had around people.
During her time in the Academy their territory was attacked and burned to ashes. They were the sole survivor of the attack. They were devastated because they were the sole protector of the village from bandits, their father, or anyone who attacked the village and everything they worked to make the place happy and prosperous, was gone. It took them a while to feel better.
When she got married, she still had many ups and downs. Her mother-in-law didn't treat her well. She only saw Amelia as a person who would give birth to children with crests and only ever said terrible things to her. Rodrigue did everything he could to make sure that the never interacted with each other. When Rodrigue and Amelia were twenty-two years old, they had their first child, Glenn. Amelia was especially concerned about his well-being.
When Rodrigue's mother found out Glenn was crestless, she knew that Rodrigue loved Amelia and Glenn with his whole heart, she knew that he would never leave them, so she would devise multiple plans to have them both killed. This led to Rodrigue usurping the Dukedom and banishing his mother from the territory. With one last failed attempt to kill them, Rodrigue ended up having to kill his own mother to save the family he truly loved.
By the time Felix was born, the family was happy and cheerful and excited the second son existed. They always wanted to give their sons better than what they did. They gave them so much love and warmth.
Day 4: Tragedy
Amelia had a few tragedies in their life. The loss of their village, no one left but them. The loss of their two friends, Seraphina and Raven. And the third one would be the loss of Glenn, Elena, and Lambert. The people they cared for the most, gone.
Day 5: Joy
Amelia had quite a few when she got into the academy and afterwards. Befriending Seraphina, Raven, Lambert, and Rodrigue. Giving her heart and love to Rodrigue and having his heart and love returned to her. Getting her betrothal gift from Rodrigue, it was a rose hair pin. Giving Rodrigue his betrothal gift, it is the cape that he wears in 3 Houses/3 Hopes. Amelia receiving her wedding ring that was imbued with special magic so she can show her emotions with out any repercussions, it is rose shaped. Their first date with Rodrigue at the beach in Derdriu. Rodrigue and Amelia's wedding day. The birth of their sons, Glenn and Felix.
Day 6: Supports
Amelia's supports would be with Godfrey, Tiana, Judith, Duke Goneril, Erwin, Lambert, Rodrigue, Matthias, Raven, and Seraphina.
With Godfrey:
This would be about her retainership with him and how she felt about people with the other classes. It also be about her being sent on missions.
With Tiana:
Tiana would probably talking to her about a few things. Talking about Amelia's appearance, about Tiana's new crushes, and Amelia supposedly doing something that's a plight against Tiana.
With Judith:
It would be about Amelia being sent on missions and trying to get things done and trying to get them to relax a little bit. It would also probably be about their friendship and how it's not great.
With Duke Goneril:
Duke Goneril would just try to check up on Amelia, making sure they are doing alright and they aren't trying to overwork themself. Also just Duke Goneril being overly doting towards little baby Holst.
With Erwin:
Just them yelling at each other and bickering about one thing or another. It would also be Erwin complaining about nobles, commoners, and his distaste of Godfrey.
With Lambert:
Amelia and Lambert would be talking a little bit out their countries and the differences between them. They would also talk about the plans of Faerghus and stuff about retainership. Lambert would also be doting over Amelia and tell her that she was appreciated.
With Rodrigue:
It would be about their future together and learning things about each other and each other's home. Doing whatever they can to show that they love each other and show that they appreciate one another. They would plan on doing things with each other no matter how small.
With Matthias:
They would talk about training techniques with each other and train a lot. Matthias would also have this weird competition with her and she never understood why.
With Raven:
They talk a lot about magic and trying to figure out how to keep their crest under-wraps and help them to control it and their emotions. There is also a lot of gossip between the two of them.
With Seraphina:
This would be about Seraphina trying to get Amelia to lighten up and to relax. It would also be about them figuring out sometime to hang out and bond to become more like sisters.
Day 7: Endings
There are going to be a few because holy heck Felix wants to be Felix.
With Felix living in Azure Moon/Azure Gleam with Rodrigue dying:
"Amelia felt a pain in her heart when she saw that her beloved son, Felix, returned with Rodrigue's body. Shortly after giving her husband a proper funeral, she stepped down as Duchess Fraldarius and gave the title of Duke to Felix. She lived the rest of her days happy with her son and his children. Future generations told stories of her as a kind Duchess, known for her warmth, kindness and her love of roses. She became a saint of warmth, roses, and protection throughout history."
With Felix dying in Azure Moon/:
"Amelia felt so much pain when both her beloved son and husband were returned to House Fraldarius. After giving them both a proper funeral, she had no reason to stay in Fraldarius. She renounced her title as Duchess, giving the title over to her brother-in-law, and disappeared from the halls of history. The only thing said about them was their ability to heal people after the war and their love of roses."
With Felix dead in Silver Snow/Verdant Wind/Crimson Flower, and alive in Crimson Flower:
"With no reason to live in Fraldarius much longer, Amelia stepped down as Duchess Fraldarius, giving the position over to her brother-in-law. Their wasn't much said about them other than her will to help those in need after the war and that she loved roses."
With Felix alive in Verdant Wind/Silver Snow:
"With no reason to live in Fraldarius, Amelia stepped down as Duchess Fraldarius, giving the position to her brother-in-law. They traveled with Felix in his mercenary band, making sure everyone was healed and better after the war. Her story was told as a saint for her warmth, protection, and roses."
With Felix and Rodrigue alive in Azure Gleam:
"Amelia was relieved that both her beloved husband and son returned home safe and sound. They threw a party in the territory to help raise spirits of those around them before starting to restore their territory. Some time during the restoration, Rodrigue and Amelia gave stepped down from their position, giving it to Felix. Amelia spent the rest of her life happy with her husband, son, and grandchildren. Stories were told of her as a kind Duchess, known to help those around her with warmth, protection, and roses. She also became a saint throughout history for warmth, protection, and roses."

Family chaos on christmas and a birthday
Notes: I thought I had posted this here, apparently I did not. Dumb cris!!! This is a christmas special I posted on AO3
So, this was sort of a request from @spookyspicedchai here on AO3, and I loved the idea so much that I went full author mode. Also, It's finallt december 25th here in my region soooo MERRY CHRISTMAS or HAPPY HOLIDAYS for the ones who do not celebrate Christmas specifically. I based this story on a few movies, but also my experiences with this holiday so if you find something different it's probably my latine agenda going on. Anyway! I hope you enjoy it!
Kenny groaned loudly at the traffic jam.
“Fucking holiday season” he muttered under his breath, pulling his phone out of his pocket and calling his husband.
“Love?”
“I’m close to your office, but stuck in the traffic. Might take a bit longer than usual to pick you up”
“Hmmm, I told you to leave earlier. There’s a mall and supermarket in the area, people are probably panic buying gifts and groceries for Christmas”
“Yeah, I know, just didn’t think it would fuck up the traffic this bad”
Uri chuckled on the other line, like the annoying man that he is. Kenny didn’t need a ‘told you so’ moment, even if Uri insistently warned him about the potential traffic issues on December 23rd.
“I’ll wait patiently for you, like I always do. I can grab you a coffee if you want to”
“I could use the caffeine”
“Alright, ring me up when you get here, handsome”
“Tsk, bye Uri”
Kenny heard the blond man laughing before he hung up. Kenny ignored his flushing face in the rear view mirror, how the fuck that man still makes him blush in almost 7 years together. He blamed it on the fact they recently married, about three weeks ago. Kenny fondly recalled their ‘wedding’. There wasn’t a ceremony at all, they just signed documents and had dinner in a fancy restaurant while Frieda and Historia were babysitting Levi for the evening. Despite their long relationship, a small document stating their marriage left them in a stupid bliss as if they were two teenagers.
“Finally!” the traffic started to flow again, distracting Kenny from his thoughts.
Arriving at the office building Uri worked at, he called him again. This time Uri didn’t answer, but before the Ackerman could call again he saw his husband leave the building and approach the car.
“Good evening, sir” he said, entering the car.
Uri leaned over and gave Kenny a quick kiss on the lips. Adjusting himself on the seat, he handed the taller man a styrofoam cup with the hot coffee, which Kenny immediately accepted and took a sip.
“What kind of coffee does your office buy? It tastes like shit” Kenny commented, taking another sip.
“I have no idea, but does it really matter if you drink it almost everyday you pick me up?”
“Caffeine is caffeine, taste is an afterthought” Kenny said “so, is everything okay for all the events of the 25th? Do we need anything?”
“Not really, everything is set. We just need to pick up the cake tomorrow afternoon”
“Alright, let’s go home and free the babysitter from the little brat. Besides, we better have a head start on things for tomorrow’s dinner” Kenny said, finishing the coffee and starting the car.
Celebrating Christmas at home was a recent event in Kenny’s life. Him and Kuchel used to celebrate by going to the local church's dinner in alliance with the orphanage, but they never had strong emotional ties to this particular holiday season. It brought them sadness because it was supposed to be a time spent with family, which the siblings lacked. But then Kuchel gave birth to Levi, on a stormy December 25th, and while the woman was still high on painkillers, she said to an also tired Kenny beside her:
We’re gonna give him the Christmas we never had, right Kenny?
And they did. The Ackerman siblings would decorate the christmas tree, make dinner (Kenny can be a very good cook), bake cookies, exchange gifts and dress baby Levi with outrageous Christmas outfits, which Kenny snapped pictures to use as future embarrassing material. At the same time, they also celebrated Levi’s birthday, with cakes and balloons and more gifts. When Uri joined Kenny’s life, he also indulged in these celebrations, and when Kuch sadly passed away, they decided to keep the tradition alive in respect of her efforts.

"You two are late, that's gonna cost extra time for Historia"
Uri and Kenny watched as Levi was sitting on the couch, teddy bear print pajamas on and recently showered. Historia was beside him, combing his hair. She smiled, already used to the boy's bickering with his uncles.
"We were stuck in traffic, sorry" Uri said "and don't worry boy, your babysitter will have an extra"
Both adults paid the girl, with an extra for her Uber and the hour of overtime. After saying her goodbyes to Levi and wishing everyone happy holidays, she left the house.
"Come here brat, kitchen duty" Kenny announced, after changing to more comfortable clothes.
The child quickly perked up and ran to the kitchen. Last Christmas, when Levi learned how to read, he became a part of a tradition Kenny and Kuchel established years ago: checking all the ingredients. Kenny would read the list they made weeks in advance and Kuchel would locate the item in their pantry. Not something they needed to do, but a habit they built as a starter for their holiday celebration. With Kuchel passing, Levi did the reading and Kenny checked the cabinets.
"We have everything" Levi commented.
"Yes, thanks to Uri's memory"
"Like an elephant" the child said.
"What?" Kenny said, confused.
"Elephants have good memory" Levi explained, as if Kenny was a toddler.
"Huh" the man said "makes sense, with their big heads and all"
"You have a big head and uncle Uri is smarter"
Kenny didn’t have a quick response to that. That evil little spawn got him there. Before he could say something, Uri appeared in the kitchen, oblivious to the insult Levi just threw.
“Do we have everything, Ackerman boys?”
“Yes” Levi replied, smiling like the angel he wasn’t.
“Perfect, what are we doing first?” the blond man asked Kenny.
“Baking the cookies, they are a pain in my-”
“Do not finish that sentence, love” Uri's serious tone sent a chill down Kenny's spine.
Of course, the little rascal will melt at the sound of a swear.
The evening was spent making the sugar cookie dough and cutting it into funny shapes. Levi absolutely hated the sensation of making the dough, only accepting to cut the shapes and decorating with the icing. The child was very enthusiastic about putting everything in the dishwashing machine in an organized mess. Kenny and Uri recently noticed he had a strange fascination for cleaning supplies, he even had a mini broom in his room. He loved to see the dishwasher working, usually spending a while looking at the machine (he also did that with the washing machine). Kenny would not admit that, but he used to do the same thing as a kid.
“Cookies done” Uri said, while putting the last ones in a container “Levi, prepare for bed. Tomorrow we have more work to do early in the morning”
The boy went to the bathroom. Kenny sat on one of the kitchen chairs while Uri put the last of the dishes away. When he was done, Uri sat next to his husband and rested his head on the man’s shoulders.
“Tired?” Kenny whispered.
“A little, but nothing a good night of sleep with my handsome husband won’t fix”
Kenny shook his head and gave him a kiss on the forehead before standing up and taking Uri’s hand.
“Let’s put the brat to sleep and I’ll tuck you in”
Levi was already in bed, putting fuzzy socks on. He looked at the two adults on his bedroom door.
“Ready?” Uri said.
“Hmhm, I’m tired” the child nodded.
Kenny turned off the lights, only the small table lamp on to bathe the room in a bluish dim light. Uri covered the boy in a warm blanket and wished him a good night, alongside Kenny. Both men went to their own room, finally resting from the full day of work.
______________________
December 24th was also a full day, like every year. The married couple spent the early morning on the balcony, drinking their tea and coffee. Kenny had bought some fresh bread from the bakery across the street, sweet and salty pastries for Levi to try when he woke up.
“We have the cake to pick up today” Uri said “do you think he’ll like it?”
“Considering he speaks non-stop about the animal kingdom, he’s gonna love it”
They both laughed. It was sweet but tiring to keep up with Levi’s hyperfixation. He would enjoy things almost obsessively, but also briefly. Uri hoped a zoo themed cake was still a hype, just like the zoo visit they took Levi a few weeks ago.
“Let’s start a few things in the kitchen, we can leave the turkey for later” Kenny said.
Both men started to steam the vegetables for the Christmas chicken salad, while also chopping some garlic and onions to put on the rice. Kenny was always the one with onion duties since he never cried. Levi soon woke up with the delicious smell of food, already peeking his head inside the kitchen. December 24th was always spent at home, cooking and eating bits of food here and there. Levi would perform taste tests as an excuse to eat more of the well seasoned chicken Kenny was so good at. Uri went out after lunch to pick up the cake, and trying to hide it in the fridge without Levi noticing was a hard task. That boy is suspicious of everything, but eventually it worked and they managed to hide the cake at the very top of the fridge.
Soon enough, it was time for them to take a shower and put on fancy clothes to just stay home on their couch, having dinner and watching animations with Levi. This year, they put fancy pajamas on, the ones made of silk. Uri had them custom made by Frieda, who was an exquisite seamstress and stylist despite being so young. Kenny still remembers when she said that making a pajama set for him would cost more than Uri and Levi’s set because of his height. He couldn’t really complain, it was indeed a lot of fabric just for his legs, but in the end the set was very nice and cozy. Kenny had to congratulate Uri’s niece with a gift.
“Tomorrow is the big day” Uri whispered while watching a random Christmas episode on television. It was already past midnight and Levi was fast asleep on the couch, with many pillows and fluffy blankets around him.
“He’s been trying to open the fridge alone, I think he suspects there’s something there” Kenny whispered “We better celebrate this brat’s birthday quick before he tips that thing over”
Uri laughed, he had caught Levi once or twice trying to do that.
____________________
December 25th arrived. Kenny woke up on the couch, with Levi’s head on his stomach and Uri already in the kitchen, most likely brewing their morning beverages. The man looked at the small boy sound asleep. They must have forgotten to get to bed, Kenny's back was going to kill him later on, but instead of moving he just stayed there, looking at the boy and thinking about how time flies. It’s been two years and a half caring for him. The second Christmas and birthday without Kuchel. Levi was turning seven today, still so young but with an already complicated story. The ackerman sighed, running his fingers softly on Levi’s black strands.
“Don’t move” he heard Uri whisper.
Of course he moved, but just enough to see his husband snap a picture of him caressing Levi’s head. Kenny smiled, this picture was going to haunt him and Levi in the future, he can already see Uri pulling it up everytime the two ackermans start to bicker.
“Can you bring my coffee? We don’t want the brat waking up early do we?”
“Oh lord, no. I’ll be right back”
Kenny tried to place Levi’s head on the pillow, a slow and very quiet process, and the child almost woke up once but soon snuggled into the pillow.
“Here” Uri handed him a steamy mug of coffee.
The morning was quiet, with Levi sleeping while the couple decorated their dinner table with paper decorations, a few plastic animal toys, and the beautifully decorated cake. Uri placed the number seven candle right on top, the ones that sparkle and die on their own since Levi wasn’t a fan of blowing candles (Kenny joked ONCE about how you spread germs all over the cake and the boy was terrified for life).
“Wow” said the boy when he woke up.
“Did you like it?” Kenny asked “there’s a bunch of animals”
Levi nodded, climbing on the chair to see the cake better. His face was still swollen from sleep and his hair was all over the place.
“I knew it was the cake in the fridge” the child said “can we eat?”
“Yes, but brush your teeth first and wash your face” Uri said.
Levi did as he was asked quicker than any other day, almost jumping from excitement when he climbed and stood on the chair again, right behind the cake.
“Do you want to sing happy birthday, Levi?” Uri asked.
The boy hesitated. Last year he didn’t want to, which was understandable since his mother was always the one to sing and light the candle for him. But surprising both adults, he nodded and Uri was about to light the candle when Levi stopped him.
“Can we…” he began, sitting on the chair “Uncle, can we bring mom?”
Kenny looked at Uri and then at Levi. It took a while for the child to understand that the small urn inside the couple’s room was his mother entirely, but lately he had been going there a lot to stare at it. Sometimes, he even spoke with her.
“Of course, Levi. Come on, let’s pick her up together”
Kenny placed Levi on his forearm and went into the room, taking the gray and small urn with the other hand carefully and placing her on the table, right next to Levi.
“Ready?” Kenny asked.
Levi nodded and Uri finally lit the candle. The familiar tune of ‘happy birthday to you’ echoed in their living room, Levi smiled while cutting the cake with Uri’s help and they served a small slice in memory of Kuchel.
Happy birthday, Little Spawn. Merry Christmas, Kuchel.

Too Damn Tall - JimmyfWhipScott
Some tall s1Jimmy art has been popping up on Tumblr recently, so I, a big fan of it, got inspired to write this little piece :} (I've been writing a lot of one-shots lately…)
AO3
After just a few weeks of his little affair with a certain elven king and a certain merling ruler, fWhip understood why Joel always complained that he was of average height. Scott and Jimmy were just damn tall and fWhip both loved and hated it.
Back to the start. How did he end up with damned cod-boy and ice queen frequenting his manor and bed? Long story short. The Salmon Empire - Grimlands old ally that lost a big war with Cod and ceased to exist. As it turns out, the refugees now living under fWhip were not the only survivors. Their royalty survived, allied themselves with some nasty people, kidnapped and tried mind-controlling him and Scott and Jimmy teamed up to save him. And proceeded to not leave his side until the allied forces of all the other empires took down this new threat. Oh, and they relentlessly flirted with him whenever he felt even the slightest bit bad about how easily the Salmon got him.
At least Jimmy and his subjects got a lot less hostile to all the salmon-folk living in Grimlands river district. And damn clingy. Did these two not have countries to run? Or was fWhip just that bad at paperwork?
No matter the reason for their abundant free time, they were too damn tall. How was he supposed to surprise kiss either of them?
Jimmy had a good reason, he was from the same demi-god merfolk royalty line as Lizzie. Eight feet was better for fWhip than ten for Joel. Didn't mean that having to poke Jimmy and actually say he wants kisses wasn't terrible. Humiliating. It made him heat up in annoyance and more than once set himself on fire. Dragons, once mated were damn clingy and affectionate but still jerks about it. How was he supposed to do anything when Jimmy was too tall to get to from the floor and too terrible as a perch to get to from the air?
For now fWhip settled on punching him in the legs so Jimmy got closer to him.
Scott. Scott had no good excuse for being a nearly seven feet tall icicle. Yes, elves were tall but not that damn tall. And he got angry whenever fWhip jumped on him, or surprise landed on him. Apparently, fWhip was too heavy for Scott's delicate elven physique. And then he dared to get angry when fWhip was upset his affection was shot down. At least he was not complaining about scratches and bites since he was probably the only person who beat fWhip in the layers of clothing they both liked to pile on them. Not even Gem wore that much and the Cliffs got pretty cold. fWhip guessed it was magic.
At least Scott wasn't too tall for good old tippy-toe kisses. As shameful as those were for fWhip. At least he could help him cool down after all that shame. All Jimmy could do was zap him...
"fWhip?" Sausage asked, breaking fWhip from his love trouble thoughts. Siblings. What a lovely thing. Especially when you're the only one to suddenly sprout dragon wings, horns, tail and other things. Like scales. Scales were a shock to fWhip. So damn sensitive... "You still there?"
"Yeah, just thinking thing thoughts," fWhip shrugged. They were still waiting for Gem and Pearl to proceed with this weeks - on Gem's insistence they met once a week, Wither Rose Alliance meeting. "Tall people should all just go and die," he sighed, fully aware his dear, older brother counted among tall people. fWhip was nothing if not a petty jerk.

2/15/2023
I have so many conflicted thoughts. I think I've let my thinking get too messy. I can't focus on anything in particular. Anytime I try to focus on something in my head, my train of thought quickly just goes somewhere completely random, and I am powerless to stop it. Once my consciousness realizes this happened, I can barely remember where I was before I lost control of my thoughts. I realized this is the case by attempting to meditate, and realizing how difficult that was. I think I used to value how my mind would wander anywhere, and I thought that made me cool and unique. Now I think it's definitely just a massive handicap. Any problem which I don't immediately know the answer to I have to slow down massively because my working thought process is so inefficient. This could explain why I find it so hard to stick to anything, since most thing worth sticking to require effortful thinking. One thing this does not help with at all is manifesting time with my imaginary wife Lumi. I'm also lonely af but that's a topic for another day. Since I find it so hard to keep an image of Lumi and the imaginary world we live in together in my head, I'm going to resort to writing down what I have so far. Lumi is a silver haired girl with an elfin face, with a slim figure and above average height for a girl. Every time I enter our cabin in the clearing in the woods, her smile brings me great joy. Lately, Lumi has been putting great effort into tending the farm around the cabin. We now have bountiful carrots, potatoes, and various greens which she uses in her cooking. It always amazes me to see the results of her careful labor. Because of my state in the outside world, I'm usually sad when I retreat to my inner cabin and to Lumi. She has so much patience, dealing with me when I'm always like this. I constantly tell her that I'm scared of her leaving me, asking her why she even loves me, and other annoying questions like that. She then does all she can to show me that she loves me absolutely, and it makes me feel a little better. But I am so broken that I can't be entirely convinced, even in my imaginary world, that I'm worthy of love from a girl like Lumi. I know that my inability to accept her love wholly hurts her, and I am so sorry. That's partly why I'm writing this out, to immortalize her beyond my imaginary world. It's the least I can do for her. Lumi and I met when my father's kingdom and her father's kingdom decided to form an alliance through marriage of their children. My father has three sons including me, and Lumi's parents had three daughters. After all six of us met, Lumi and I both knew that we wanted to wed each other. All four of our other siblings are power hungry, and they naturally courted each other. Lumi and I have no such ambitions, and we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Balancing my identity in the imaginary world is tricky. On one hand, I can literally make anything I want happen since it's my world. On the other hand, I don't want Lumi to be a puppet moving to my wishes. You might think that no matter what, any imaginary friend is going to be a puppet, but giving characters enough realism allows me to suspend my disbelief and find comfort in my world. The problem is that my self esteem is so low that if I truly allow Lumi to be completely real and free, I think she will leave me. Lumi is so utterly desirable that she could be with any person she wants, and I am certainly not at the top of desirability. To resolve this, in my canon I am the god of my world, which makes sense since it's actually true. Every effortful thought I put into fleshing out the world where Lumi and I reside is an effort I put in my love for Lumi, and my hope is that I can show through my work the extent of my love and have a justification which will let me truly believe that Lumi deservedly loves me back.
