Heya!! Could I please ask for hc with Bakugou, Kirishima, Denki and Dabi (if you cant do that many feel free to cut any one of them) and meeting their s/o's parents for the first time? How do you think the encounter would go? (Ps I'm so glad your requests are open but dont overwork!! Take care of yourself and stay hydrated or I WILL make you òwó) 💓
Bakugou
he does NOT want to do this.
he genuinely pushed this off as much as he physically could. like youve probably been together for like a year already, you met his parents, he secretly thinks youre 'the one' or whatever, but hes scared to meet your parents
he doesnt want to deal with trying to put up a nice attitude for them, but he also doesnt want them to think hes a dick or mistreats you because they might convince you to leave him
however, this meeting comes without his consent, as you two are out in town and you bump into your parents at a store. They see you before you do them, so you couldn't even warn him before your parents were coming over to you, very openly eyeing Bakugou
they knew what he looked like, they had bugged you for details multiple times, so they knew who he was right away
Katsu immediately felt himself getting a little sweaty under his clothes, he couldnt help he was naturally sweaty already and now hes overthinking every posibility in his head
Luckily, you talk about him like hes the sweetest most perfect person on earth, and so your parents don't really have anything negative to say or act on
They just go "Oh, Bakugou, right? It's so nice to finally meet you!"
He tries to be as polite as he can, he tries to smile nicely (even though he makes such an ugly face when he forces a smile), and luckily they are on their way again soon
He literally sighs in relief once theyre out of sight and you laugh at him, asking if hes doing alright after meeting your 'oh so scary' parents
he is not amused
Kirishima
Honestly he probably was excited to meet them, and probably asked you if you could introduce him fairly early in the relationship
Not too early, but like once he was sure this was a serious relationship and that he really loved you, he wanted to do things 'the right way' (as hed heard)
So you tell your parents about your boyfriend who things are going great with, and how he really wants to meet them, so they invite him over for dinner
He wasn't stressed about it until it came time to get ready to go, then suddenly he's overthinking everything and doesn't know what to wear, what if he smells, what if he says something dumb
Hes ready to go find a suit to wear before you tell him its not that formal
You also assure him that people love him naturally, as long as he stays calm everything will go fine
and as expected it does, your parents love him. He is definitely a little awkward and a bit too polite towards them, but your parents take it as a good thing
once he relaxes though it really does go great, your parents adore him and 100% accept him as your boyfriend
afterwards he acts like he wasn't overreacting the entire time
Kaminari
also nervous as hell to meet your parents
he would never ask to do so, but he wouldn't tell you no if you asked him if hed be okay meeting them
if its important to you, its important to him
your parents had recently brought up that you should bring over your boyfriend whenever youre both free, and you told them that youd let him know and figure something out
and this time came when a school dance came around, obviously Denki was your perfect date. Even though most everyone got ready at the school, your parents lived near by and you realized that you had a better pair of shoes to match with your outfit there, so figured you could stop by real quick and brought denki
he originally was just going to wait in the car, but once your parents found out he was out there they started screaming for pictures
hes kinda awkward in them, because how does one pose cutely with their s/o in front of their parents. He feels wrong for even touching you for some reason
some pictures he kinda looks like he was electrocuted in, with a goofy smile and a thumbs up
but some of the pictures came out really good and he was happy that your parents forced you two to take them
it also helped that the pictures became the main focus of this meeting rather than getting to know him, he got to do the basic introductions and leave
he knew that next time he saw them hed probably be asked more questions, but he felt more comfortable having already seen what theyre like
plus he got cute pics
Dabi
adamantly refuses to meet them
genuinely hed have to be insanely in love with you to even consider it
he knows full well that even based on appearance alone no parent wants to see their kid with someone like him, and he simply doesn't care enough to try and be nice to some rando just because youre related to them. He likes you, thats it
Hed be more likely to 'meet' your parents if they were awful. Because if theyre nice, then he wonders how you ended up with someone like him in the first place. But if theyre awful, he would totally get rid of them for you if you want
plus after years of holding onto his hatred for his own parents, its hard for him to conceptualize parents that dont suck
so unless he's going to kill your parents, and by some stroke of luck you do actually have great parents, hes not meeting them unless its by accident
and he will not stay and chat with them either, only if your parents are incredibly important to you then he'll make sure to tell them that he knows he doesnt look it, but he loves their kid and he'll do anything for them. but thats it
and his face is everywhere, hes a villain, so even if theyre okay with the idea of you dating a villain he reminds them to not say anything that would jeopardize your safety

very fluffy and in depth hcs of a mc that basically lives off of cuddles? if you dont wanna do all of them can you only do lucifer, mammon, beel & diavolo? its fine if you dont wanna write this request tho! <3
i just need to snuggle up with them and maybe receive a forehead kiss yknow?
(also its def not bc of their man boobs wdym..)
thank you baby for sending in this ask, writing it cleared my skin and watered my plants- 💐🌸🌻
also your taste in men is very good 💯💯💯
this just teeth rotting fluff. GN MC.
❤️Cuddling HCs❤️
Lucifer:
Cuddling can only happen at night / the evening. Even on the weekends he is too busy to be cuddling during the day.
When you get in bed next to him he usually smells like coffee & sweat ngl. At first he does try to hide it with a nice expensive perfume but it might be best to cuddle after taking a shower.
He loves it if you curl up against him, laying your head on his chest. He is surprisingly gentle with his strokes in your hair!
He prefers not to talk or just very short I love yous are accepted. This is his calming, recharging moment.
His arms are strong as he puts them behind your back, or under your head if that's what you prefer. His weakness is stroking his head between his ears and forehead.
He is very glad to kiss your forehead without you having to ask! He is actually very affectionate if he is with you, and only you! Prefers holding one of your hands the entire time.
My love... Holding you in my arms in this moment makes me feel tranquil. As if nothing could ever go wrong again... I am aware it only lasts such a short time... I'm truly sorry we can't do this more often. Can you forgive me, my dearest?
Mammon:
Here is some Mams cuddles
Beelzebub:
Cuddling Beelzebub feels like the most natural thing. You fit just right under his arms, his legs. He can go on like this for hours. Nothing else has to happen and he is the most content demon in the world.
Being so close to him makes you realize he smells like deodorant and grass.
Likes to eat as you cuddle! Always brings you your favourite snacks! He can fall asleep very quickly like this though. Please just stroke his back he is going to melt into your touch.
He is going to kiss you with his hand holding yours to the bed. He kisses you very passionately, towering over you, using his tongue as he should; gluttony gets the best of him.
Very gentle with you the entire time. Carefully moves every inch of his body not to hurt you.
If you decide to lay too far away from him he just sweeps you right where you should be; entirely next to him!
Skin on skin contact is very important for him, pls don't wear too many clothes!!
I'm stronger now, but I can grow even more if you stay by my side. I'll do everything to support you, and I hope you will continue to support me too. I love you. So very deeply. Thank you for being here with me.
Diavolo:
I just think he enjoys being the little spoon. He can be the tiniest little spoon if he wants to!!
Loves to talk. This is no time to be quiet for more than 5 minutes. Something always comes to his mind which he wants to share.
His smell from up close isn't so easy to describe; it's a lingering smell of expensive parfume but also pine tree.
Can and will cuddle you in the afternoon if he/you needs it. Tea time can buzz off this is 300% better.
Talks about how nice it was to Barbatos. Poor Barb doesn't know how to react to this information.
Ah he definitely plays with the blanket; he likes to tuck you in real well, sometimes pull it over your head and kiss you in the dark.
Tickle fights are inevitable if you cuddle for too long. (He doesn't want to let you go pee but you must. So you tickle him.)
Sometimes he can forget how heavy he is though and if he falls asleep while on top of you, you'll be sore by the time he wakes up.
Ah just imagine the pure joy in his eyes the entire time.... sigh
My darling y/n... You are my most precious treasure in the entire world. You enchant and fascinate me, and each day, you ignite me.

Closeted Theories
A.N: Was finishing up my other Neuvillette series and this one just dropped into my head. Mighta have something to do with the fact I finished the Neuvillette storyquest the other day and he’s still on the brain. That was an awesome quest!! Definitely one of my hallmark favorites!
Genshin Impact MasterList
------
Picture this scenario:
You were currently locked in a storage room closet, in the Palais Mermonia with Monsieur Neuviellette by your side.
Got it in your head?
Hard to picture, wasn’t it?
Yeah, it would have been hard for you too, only a scant five minutes ago.
But right now, this is your reality.
You heard a gaggle giggling on the other side of the door as it shut. You dimly heard the lock as well. Then the voice of Sedene spoke over it, “Don’t worry, we will relieve you in an hour!”
Then you heard the giggling and paddling of feet retreat. You just blinked at the door for a bit before finally looking up at Monsieur Neuvillette. It was a rare sight to behold, actually. He had frozen like a statue as he stared blankly at the door in front of him.
“Check back with me, when you processed this.” you stated, “This is a lot even for a human.”
You looked around the store room which was filled with mostly documents and books. It was big enough for two people to fit just so and had a single light on the ceiling. Thinking back you weren’t sure how you managed to get in this predicament but before you could try to analyze it further, Neuvillette stirred. Ahh, looks like he was coming back this way. It only took about five minutes.
“Ahh, Miss. Y/N, I’d like to apologize for them. I don’t know what they hope to accomplish by this but I promise they mean no ill will.”
“Of course not. Those little younguns couldn’t do ill will if they tried, mischievous on the other hand is another matter. Anyway, can’t you break down the door or something?”
Monsieur Neuvillette held his chin in thought, “Yes, easily. Though I hate to destroy such workmanship. It’s hardly the doors fault….”
You smack your lips together, “Well, unless a Hydro Dragon suddenly knows how to pick a lock, we don’t know exactly how long we will be here for. Besides, isn't this getting in the way of your business to attend to?
“Sedene clearly said they’d be back in an hour. My next meeting is scheduled for then. I don’t have any pressing matters right now. However, I would usually be using this time to get ahead on paperwork.”
“...Hm. So they planned this down to the letter. I mean can’t have the Chief Justice of Fontaine and its Iudex, missing important functions over….being locked in a closet, now can we?”
Neuvillette shook his head, “No, sounds quite lucidious to say it out loud like that.”
“Equally as ridiculous as our reality. However they should be lucky I’m not claustrophobic.”
Monsieur Neuvillette swung his eyes around to you, “Claustrophobic?”
“Yes, some humans will start panicking in a tight place. They begin to feel the wall closing in on them and such.”
Monsieur Neuvillette eyes widened at this, “Truly?! I hadn’t realized. And you are alright? I’ll break down the door immediately!”
You reached out a hand in front of him, “I said I was fine! I’m not claustrophobic, only mildly amused and mostly annoyed. The only thing I worry about is how dus…” You paused in the process of wiping a finger over a shelf, rubbing them together, “Not so much as a speck of dust. Most impeccable.”
“Of course not. I have learned that if left unattended a room like this will begin to rot. To take care of that, we have those hired to routinely clean spaces like this.”
“Nothing escapes you, does it?”
“Except for this.” He let out a sigh, “Rest assured, I shall have to give them a stern talking too.”
You head bobbed up and down once, as you managed to find a reasonably comfortable spot to lean on the wall.
Silence floated for a while before Neuvillette finally heaved a deep sigh, “Try as I might, I cannot see the reason for this insipid affair. Whatever possessed them to attempt this thing?”
You snorted once making lavender eyes lock with yours. When you didn’t say anything more Neuvillette asked, “Why do I feel like you have an idea? Can you not share it with me if that’s the case?”
You looked away then, “It would only be a theory at this point. I’d hate to paint them with conjecture.”
“Let us hear it anyway. We have nothing else to do, until then and besides I’d like a better picture of what is going on before I speak with them on this matter. Perhaps there are some critical clues I am missing.”
“....”
Neuvillette watched as you absently began to “arrange” the books on the shelf next to you, your eyes not meeting his. Meanwhile his lavender eyes did not depart from you.
A lull prolonged itself until…
“Miss. Y/N are you….embarrassed, perhaps?”
You snapped your head up, “What the-?! What makes you say that?”
“Well, you have…”
“I don’t want to play by play.” You interrupted knowing that Neuvillette was going to literally tell you all the actions he observed to arrive at this conclusion. It was bad enough that he was looking at you the entire time in expectation and equally bad that there was only room between you for a person to barely slip through.
You cleared your throat turning away, “Actually I was thinking about it and it might be kinda, slightly my fault.”
“I hardly doubt that but what do you feel you have done?”
“.....read….scene….idea….”
“Excuse me? Could you speak up?”
“I said….” You jerked your head up only to stop when you realized that Neuvillette had closed the distance between you and was looking down at you with furrowed eyebrows. Clearly he had gotten closer to hear you better but still.
You swallowed, snatching your eyes away from him, “I read the Melusines a story a little while ago.”
“Yes, that doesn’t sound so horrible. In fact, I thank you for taking time out of your day to spend with them.”
“Yes, yes, you're welcome. It’s fine. It’s just….they may have taken a story a little too…..realistically.”
“In what manner?”
“It was a romance story. One scene…the couple was trapped in a storeroom, you know?”
“I see. And what does this have to do with our predicament now?”
You almost banged your head on the shelf. You did not want to explain it in detail. Most humans would pick up and put two and two together. However, given that Neuvilletter wasn’t human, you couldn’t and didn't expect him to have two and two much less know to put them together in this instance.
You heave a sigh. That still didn’t mean you wanted to explain this.
“...I’m sorry. This is making you uncomfortable. We should cease talking about this then.”
You felt Neuvillette put as much space between you as he was able. Part of you was grateful. Being locked in a storeroom with Neuvillette of all people was doing nothing for your nerves although you pride yourself in comporting yourself regardless of the situation. You knew it really wasn’t fair to keep Neuvillette in the dark, especially when he genuinely did not have the pieces needed to put together the puzzle.
“It’s a common plot device in romance stories. When a couple is locked in a confined room it’s used to further their relationship.” You said this in one breath not looking up.
“....”
You could practically hear the gears in Neuvillette’s head turning.
“I see. They had hoped that our relationship would progress and that is why they did this.”
You hoped your laugh wasn’t forced, “What relationship? We don’t have one. We are just friends.”
“Yes, we are friends.”
You bobbed your head absently and just when you were beginning to find your footing, you felt Neuvillette move. Looking up, you startled to see him looming over you.
Wait, why was he even closer than last time?
Your throat went dry.
“Rest assured, I will still express my displeasure at such extreme methods but I shouldn't let their goodwill go to waste. I suppose they were getting tired of my lack of courage.”
“.....W-w-what are you talking about?”
Neuvillette lifted his arms and trapped you within, his hands holding onto the shelf in front of you.
Hold on! What is this situation?!
You were pretty sure that Monsieur Neuvillette had never read such a scene before so why was he an accomplished actor now?
You knew you were looking up at him like a trapped boar.
“I think I finally understand what message they were trying to send. I suppose they were getting tired of me taking my time. Had I had my way, I would still be taking time. Although I have an abundance of time, the fact is you do not. It’s unfair of me to continue to make you wait.”
By now your head and eyes were spinning. Why did it seem like this went from 0 to 100 real quick? You weren’t even following anymore.
“Miss. Y/N, when this is over, will you accompany me to dinner at Hotel Debord? Ah, I suppose I should convey my feelings first, shouldn’t I? Forgive me, allow me a minute to gather my bearings.”
You turned so your back was to the shelf, looking up at Neuvillette, “H-h-hold on! Aren’t you…? What are you even doing? We are friends…” Your eyes dart back and forth, “...aren’t we?”
“Of course, I am loath to lose our friendship but I confess I find myself thinking about…deeper things when it comes to us.”
“Y-y-you do?”
Of course you always like Monsieur Neuvillette but you’d never in your wildest dreams thought that a friendship with him could turn into more. You were just happy that he trusted you enough to become friends with you. The two of you had met through the Traveler actually. And being a Descender yourself, you had become privy to the fact that he was the Hydro Dragon. As the Traveler moved on to other nations with the goal of finding their sibling you lingered in Fontaine finding the nation agreeing with you. Fontaine eventually became your home base even as you travel to other nations. Unlike the Traveler you had no lofty goals in mind.
“I confess this is so. However perhaps I’ve been spending too much time pondering on the idea instead of acting on it. The Melusines must have picked up on my feelings.”
Ah, now that might explain why the Melusines went through a period of forcing you to read just about every romance book they could come across. Was this all research to help Monsieur Neuvillette?
Your previous annoyance at being locked in a storage room was quickly dwindling even from the little bit you had. You hoped that you hadn’t displayed any odd tendencies when Monsieur Neuvillette was concerned that the Melusines picked up on. You thought you had had an impenetrable shield.
“They had urged me to at least talk to you about it but I had refused. I wanted to ponder this a little more and see if it had merit. However, although I have learned more about humans, the complexities of this kind of thing still perplexes me. Sedene did present to me a list of findings about your behavior that made me think that perhaps you might feel more on the subject than you let on.”
You stiffened and replied in which you hoped with a coolness that belied your feelings, “Such as?”
“You have brought me meals when unasked for.”
“We are friends. I’m interested in your health and you are busy. Thought I’d help out here and there. There is nothing untoward about that.”
“You made some of them yourself.”
“Again, friendship.”
“I have no basis for such things. Perhaps friends do make each other meals. This was a thought I came to as well. Next, they have observed that when I leave, your gaze lingers.”
Your right eyebrow twitched, “....I’m making sure you leave.”
That sounded lame even to your ears but you challenged it by looking Neuvillette straight in the eye. You would not bend first.
“....and they have heard you give a…and I quote, ‘an heartrending sigh.’”
You would have spat at this and your face showed. You looked away folding your arms, “Denied!! What does a ‘heartrending sigh’ even sound like? I didn’t swoon like a maiden.”
“So you admit that you did in fact sigh?”
Your whole face twitched this time, “Denied! You need to do better than this! It’s all circumstantial at best!”
“Very well then. I’m not sure I should reveal this but….apparently, there were some Melusines in earshot when you and Navia were having a private conversation. They heard Navia ask when you were quote “going to make your intentions known.” And your reply was, and I quote, “When a boar flies and all the water in Fontaine is set on fire.””
Given that they were Melusines, in earshot was probably a generous term. You couldn’t help but to slap both hands over your face. Everything within you wanted to deny it but you couldn't very well make a liar out of both the Melusines and Navia.
Checkmate.
“Not to worry, I did admonish them about listening to private conversations such as those.”
“I should find the nearest volcano in Natlan and jump in it.”
Monsieur Neuvillette’s eyes widened as he placed his hands on your shoulders, “Don’t even joke about such things Y/N!”
You still hadn’t raised your head.
“Miss. Y/N, would it be wrong of us to try to see if our relationship can grow deeper?”
Your voice was muffled by your hands, “Why, you want it to?”
“Hm, I believe I would. You?”
“....I’m amenable to it.”
Monsieur Neuvillette’s mouth quirked, “I’m pleased to hear this. Won’t you look at me?”
“Maybe after we get out of here.”
Ahh, you were being shy about this. A chuckle escaped the Hydro Dragon. You reached one hand to slap him in the chest, “Hydro Dragon, Hydro Dragon, please be silent!”
The chuckle turned into a laugh then.
Then you felt him stepping away, “Very well. I know the benefits of having to gather oneself. We will have plenty of time to address this. Ah, what did you say to dinner?”
You turned away from him, as you dropped your hands from your face, once again “arranging” the books.
A small smile made its way to your face as you replied softly, “Sure. I’ll be there.”

Fucked up Monday.
A/n: this is the first Ellie x female reader I’ve ever written so pls be kind ??? ( let’s be real, first thing I’ve ever written ngl) Also, English isn’t my first language so excuse my mistakes. Otherwise have fun!
Part 2: https://www.tumblr.com/daribertduck/748855174059130880/fucked-up-monday-23
Summary: Having Ellie as a friend is great. Having her as you’re patrol partner? Even better. Loving her though, that’s where all the problems begin. Especially since Ellie doesn’t feel the same, right?
Warnings: slightly mention of grief, anxiety, post apocalypse world!! Slightly curse words ( what’s you’re favorite curse word? Probably fuck.)
-5,9K words or something xx
The world suddenly became gray, the clouds got thicker and as the rain started to make its way down onto the dirty ground surrounding your house, you knew today was most definitely not a good day. But It's not like you didn't know that already. The last couple of days weren't great either, and that's not something you can blame on the terrible January weather.
No, partly you blame yourself for those terrible hours that turned into days you spent in front of your living room window wasting away important minutes, stuck with way too many thoughts to function. So many things you have to think over and over, without really ending up with an answer that satisfies you. And you blame her, too, for somehow making the world much darker than it already is. But deep down you knew that this wasn't the right way to go, you could not make her the center of your problems, couldn't build your own mistakes around her. But you'd like to try anyway.
Monday, only a week ago, everything was as fine as it could be, considering the circumstances. Because life in the post-apocalypse isn't always easy, because one of your closest friends, Dina, is in love with Ellie Williams. Because Ellie Williams is the girl you gave your heart many years ago.
This specific Monday, where everything went down, you were on patrol with Ellie. Over the past two months, it had become a ritual. The two of you made the best team in Jackson, using supplies judiciously and working smart and fast. Everyone could rely on you both, and you loved it. The feeling of being needed was something great. The idea of people believing and trusting you was something you wouldn't trade for anything. You loved to help, and God knows you were doing a pretty good job at it too.
That Ellie was the one assigned to you wasn't something you were mad about. You craved nothing more than the attention from the emerald green-eyed girl. Knowing that you two spent hours on patrol with nothing but meaningless conversations filling the air made life taste a bit sweeter. And Ellie felt the same way. From the moment you first exchanged words in Jackson, you both knew right away that whatever you had in your hearts for each other was too precious to let loose.
But now, that specific feeling you get whenever you think about her is probably the reason why you're scared in your living room, hiding from everything and everyone, but especially from her.
Having Ellie as your friend was incredible. You both talked about everything and always found playful words even in serious situations, lightening the burden on your minds. But being friends with her wasn't enough for you. You yearned to be closer, to have her in every way you could possibly want a human being. And that terrified you since your friend made her intentions about Dina very clear.
And having her as your patrol partner was the wisest decision Maria ever made. Even though you weren't always assigned to each other, the moments you shared on patrol were precious. The way you both moved in sync, anticipating each other's actions, spoke volumes. It was more than just duty; it was a connection that defied mere partnership.
At first, starting off new right after the parole training Tommy gave you, you were in a group with your cousin Dylan. He was a smart man, kind and caring—one of the closest people you'd ever call family. Not much older than you or your friends, but he lost his life in a fight with a bloader while the two of you went to check on an Abandoned School near Jackson. When you returned without Dylan by your side, the traumatic experience still etched into your bones, you explained the situation to Maria right away, sharing as many details as you could remember. You hoped that you wouldn't have to recount this nightmare of a story multiple times. You described to her exactly where it happened and how you somehow managed to escape, paying the price of Dylan losing his life while distracting the bloader. Maria promised to be there when you told all your family members and to send out a group of people to the building. Their mission: to finish off the bloater and retrieve whatever was left of Dylan for a somewhat respectful funeral. Something he deeply deserved.
After your conversation with Maria, she immediately called Ellie in to ask if it would be okay for her to pair with you. Returning to work wasn't something you originally had in mind, but in hindsight, Maria probably knew that working would keep your mind off things. She was also aware of the deep connection you had with Ellie. If she had assigned you to someone else, you might have been too terrified to venture close to the outside world ever again.
Ellie, however, always wanted to go on patrol with you. She hated the idea of you going with Dylan instead. It wasn't that she didn't like him; it was more that she felt like she lost control the moment the safe gates of Jackson closed, and she wasn't by your side.
The first couple of times the two of you went on patrol together were more challenging than you had anticipated. Sometimes, you believed you could still hear his screams echoing in the back of your mind. Other times, his anguished facefilled your thoughts, and you grappled with the regret of running in the opposite direction. The guilt of what you *should* have done never truly left your mind.
Maria, understanding the weight of your experience, altered the usual patrol routes for you and Ellie. She ensured that you both didn't have to cross the area where the incident with Dylan occurred. Deep down, you knew there was nothing you could have done to save Dylan, yet you couldn't help but blame yourself.
Ellie did her best to empathize, and you noticed and appreciated her efforts. While she couldn't erase all the pain, her presence made the feelings a little less overwhelming. You sensed that she was aware of this too since she let you sleep over at her place almost everyday since and somehow already knew when a new anxiety attack was about to happen without you even knowing it.However, over the past few weeks, you've been avoiding her, along with almost everyone else. The ache in your heart, triggered by thoughts of Ellie being with Dina, became too much for your frightened heart to bear. Distance seemed like the only viable solution—a way to shield yourself from the emotional storm.
On that bittersweet Monday, where the two of you headed out a little earlier than you'd prefer, the sun not yet fully awake, you embarked on a new route. Not far from Jackson, there lay a small town—one that Maria wanted both of you to investigate and "clean." With that purpose, you made your way over there.
As you and Ellie stepped into this town, its quiet streets greeted you. The air smelled of pine and nostalgia, and the sun cast long shadows across the wooden storefronts. Maria's instructions echoed in your mind.
Ellie walked beside you, her gaze scanning the facades. Her emerald eyes held a mix of curiosity and determination. You wondered what thoughts raced through her mind.
As you explored the town, you noticed faded murals on brick walls, their colors muted by time. Abandoned storefronts stood like sentinels, their windows boarded up, history locked within. The creak of a rusty swing in the town square hinted at children's laughter long gone. And somewhere, perhaps hidden in the shadows, lay the heart of this place.
With each step, you peeled back layers—the layers of dust, of stories, of forgotten dreams. The sun climbed higher, casting warmth on your shoulders.
"Hey, I thought I was funny!" Ellie's voice echoed in the back of your mind, snapping you back to reality and the conversation you and her had going on."God, Ellie, you know I love you lots, but do you have to be so weird?" you asked her, a smirk spreading across your face. "No idea what you're talking about, babe. Am I not allowed to express my love for clothing?" she said dramatically. "Not when you show up at a parole meeting wearing a cowboy hat?!" you said, laughing, recalling the expressions on Maria and Joel's faces when Ellie walked in. "It was a statement!" - "A fashion crime, that's what it was!" Your tone was amused. Ellie didn't respond to your playful jab and just shook her head, her laughter filling the air. That sound, that sweet sound you could never get enough of, made everything feel more than alright. It was just the two of you, on your horses, riding near a lake, continuing to cross the small town, laughing as if this was how it was meant to be. But the comfortable silence that enveloped both of you suddenly halted when you laid eyes on a massive, abandoned mall ahead. "Seems like we need to check this place out," Ellie said, her voice calm as she studied the map in her hands. You tightened your grip on the reins of your horse. "Alright, lead the way?" you asked her. She responded, "Already on it, princess." You rolled your eyes, but the nickname slid off you, making your heart beat faster.
Ellie dismounted her horse, handing you the reins. She strode toward the entrance, determined to open the massive door that separated you both from the darkness within. Meanwhile, you secured the horses to a nearby fence and joined Ellie, who stood waiting. "Ladies first," she quipped, making a sweeping gesture toward the freshly opened door. You rolled your eyes, a small smile tugging at your lips. As you prepared to step inside, Ellie's hand pulled you back. "Spores. Masks on," she mumbled, adjusting her own mask. You followed suit, the cool fabric pressing against your face. Stepping over the threshold, you moved quietly, attuned to the sounds echoing through the abandoned mall from clickers and runners. Ellie held her gun with unwavering resolve, and you mirrored her stance. Her gaze met yours, locking in a shared understanding."Try not to get bit," Ellie said, her voice low. "I don't really feel like shooting you in the head today. Maybe tomorrow, though." Her eyes crinkled, a smile hidden behind the mask. You couldn't help but grin. "Fuck you, Williams," -"Nah, I'd prefer somebody else doing it."
As the two of you make your way deeper into the building, talking nonsense quietly while finishing off Clickers on your way, A loud sound makes you and Ellie stop in your tracks. ''what the fuck was that...'' She mumbled, and you're looking past Ellie in the direction the horror sound was coming from. ''I…”You were unable to speak, move or even breathe because you recognized that sound immediately. ''Hey, are you okay?'' You heard her saying, she moved closer to you and softly grabbed your shoulder with her free hand, shifting your chest so you're looking into her direction again.'' Babe, are you okay?'' Ellie repeated her Question, looking for something in your eyes, you cannot make out. Yet again you were unable to answer, fear slowly making its way up into your lungs, preventing you from breathing properly. She was about to say something again, but she got interrupted by the sound of loud footsteps moving into your direction, revealing one of the most terrifying things this 'new' world has to offer. ''A fucking Bloader...'' Ellie's whisper recalled in your mind and without even knowing it, you're back with Dylan. You were back in the school with him by your side, you hear him screaming your name in pain, begging you to leave, you taste the blood of his on your tongue. You can't breathe. Tears started to form in your eyes, the world got blurry, and that anxious feeling from that same night made its way back into your bones. The feeling of Ellie's hands drifting away from your shoulder, just past to your underarm. Her grabbing your hand was the only thing you noticed before a jerky movement brought you back into reality. Ellie was leading you up an Escalator, running as fast as your guys lungs allowed. ''Fucking shit, we have to move, princess!'' She said, her voice demanding. You couldn't say anything, not even recognizing the nickname she gave you that normally makes your knees weak, the only thing you were able to do was moving with her, her soft hands grabbing your underarm being the only reason you were able to move in the first place.
You couldn't even notice the way Ellie ran a bit faster than you, not letting go of your hand while shooting down upcoming Runners and Clickers, snuffing out whatever life they still clung to. You couldn't even hear Ellie's words as she spoke to you, couldn't see her breaking down a random door and pushing you both inside, closing it firmly and securing it with whatever heavy material she found to lock you two in. Your mind was a whirlwind of panic, grief, and regret. You couldn't move, tears streaming down your cheeks as you tried to control your agonal respiration. The mask felt even more uncomfortable than it already was. Then, two soft hands carefully grabbed your face, removing the mask and gently resting on your skin. It was a lifeline back to reality.
"Babe, you're okay. We're safe. Come on, try to breathe with me, okay?"Her voice slowly penetrated your foggy brain. Your right hand automatically found her wrist, and for a moment, you tried to do what the brown-haired girl in front of you said—you tried to breathe. "Doing so good, Darling,"she encouraged. „Keep going. Focus on me, alright? Breathe in... hold it, love... okay, breathe out." The softness of her voice traveled up to your brain, dispelling the dark smoke that had clouded your thoughts. "Shit..."you whispered, not caring how pathetic you probably looked right now. Her eyes never left yours, and finally, you took your first real breath since arriving in the mall. "Yeah... that probably captures it best,"she said, her touch gentle as she caressed your cheek. She was still a bit out of breath from all the running.
You looked at her for a second longer, and for some inexplicable reason, everything didn't feel so dire anymore. Maybe it was because with Ellie by your side, you could never feel truly unsafe. A grin crept onto your face, and without bothering to hide it, you burst into laughter, tears still wetting your skin. Ellie stared at you, momentarily confused, but her expression softened. She wasn't able to hold on the grinning expression herself.
Ellie looked at you for a moment, her confusion giving way to laughter. "What the hell, the fuck was that?" you said, still chuckling. „I wish I fucking knew“ she said. Ellie's hands remained pressed against your cheeks, and you didn't mind at all. She grinned, pulling you a bit closer until her forehead rested against yours. "You feel okay, though?" she asked, her tone shifting back to concern. You replied quietly, "I'm with you, so... yeah." Ellie didn't say anything, but her touch lingered on your skin before she pulled away.
"Let's try to find a way out of here," she declared, already scanning the small store she'd barricaded you both into. Her movements were purposeful, and you appreciated her practicality. "I'm definitely not cleaning this entire mall up by myself."- „I mean, you did almost half of it already?“ you said, grinning again. „Yeah, the others can do the other half. I’m fucking done with this place.“
The closeness between you wasn't weird; it was familiar. Ellie had always been a touchable person, and you never complained. In fact, you loved the feeling of having her close—the warmth of her skin against yours. It had happened countless times before Hands touching a little too long, hugs that stretched into eternity, and mornings waking up tangled together. It was no longer something to overthink; it just was—a connection that transcended words.
You made your way through the store, noticing only just now that it used to be some sort of clothing shop. ''hey, look at that. Should I grab that for Dina?'' The voice from the opposite of the room bought your attention, you let your eyes travel their way to where your best friend is standing, holding up a basic brownish lined jacket, weirdly posing with it like she's some sort of model getting pictures taken. ''Yeah. Sure, do that.'' You said, already regretting how your voice sounded out loud. Ellie being in love with Dina wasn't news to you, you were the first person she ever told about her undeniable feelings towards Dina. That your heart shattered in about a million pieces isn't something you ever considered of telling her-You wanted to be supportive, knowing that Dina also felt the same about your best Friend. ''Is everything alright?'' Ellie said, confused by your lack of enthusiasm. ''Yeah, all good, just still, you know, fucked up from that bloader trying to rip us apart.'' You answered while pretending to look through some of the clothes. you practically didn't lie. The encounter with the bloader made you feel all weird and anxious, you were already struggling with not allowing yourself to even think about the incident and with that thing crossing your path it was almost inevitable to keep those memories locked away. Ellie looked at you as she isn't really buying it ''Hey, we don't have to leave right away. We surely can take a break?'' she suggested, making her way over to you. ''A break does sound fucking nice.'' You said, giving the slightly taller girl a tired smile. Ellie nodded at you, nudging your shoulder with hers while walking past you. Now opening a gray door behind the cash register with the words ''Employees only.'' written on lined paper.
Entering the common room was more than disappointing. Although there was an old sofa welcoming your stay, Ellie and you must've shared the same idea because before you could even make a step towards the in dark blue colored sofa, Ellie already dropped her body on it with a load groan. "Fuck you, move your ass over, El.'' You said, smirking as you moved to the small space. She looked up at you, her face blessed with another grin as she crossed her arms behind her head. ''Nah, I'm quite comfortable, thanks for suggesting it though!'' She closed her eyes and moved around on the cheap looking fabric to find the most comfortable position. ''Oh yeah? I mean, you wanted this. Practically dared me to do it'' You said. One of her closed eyes opened „what do you mean?“ she said. Without saying another word you set yourself as carefully as you can down on her lab. Ellie, on the other hand, dramatically lifted her upper body up, pretending to cough for much-needed air ''Help!! Help!! Doctor, I Can't breathe!'' Her arms went in every direction, making it seem like she's struggling to move, "c'mon, fuck you, I'm not even using my full body weight!" You said defending yourself. "Okay, okay, I'm done for. Dead, you won this round, you're officially the “Ellie defeater”.now get down!" She said, laughing as she gently pushed you from her lap. As you got up, Ellie actually made some space for you to sit down, which you did almost immediately. You lean your head against the wall behind you and look at your best friend now sitting leg crossed facing you. "You actually feeling okay tho?" she' asked for what felt like a million times today, which brought a small honest smile onto your face „yeah, as okay as I can be. Seeing that thing did bring some memories back, if rather forget. Thanks for saving me though" you said, playing with the strands of your jacket. „Yeah, glad to be your savior when time gets rough. You owe me one" she said, grinning. "Yeah, sure I owe you" you said. „Totally. Hmm," she said, pretending to think "what could you possibly do for me to regard me for saving your life?" with a grinning face she looked you up and down, and you knew immediately that what your friend had in mind wasn't something that's going to turn out good. „What are you thinking right now? Should I be scared?"- ''Don't know yet.'' Ellie said, lifting her body into a more comfortable sitting position."How about... I ask you a question, and you'll answer truthfully?" Ellie's words carried a weight of seriousness, and you couldn't help but feel anxious. "I'm always honest?" you replied, looking at her, bluffing with your answer. You knew that you weren't always honest, but you kept your own truth close to your heart because it wouldn't change the outcome anyway. Survival often required pretty white lies.
"Cut the bullshit. Okay, so... why are you avoiding Dina all of a sudden?" The question caught you off guard, and you looked at your best friend as if you'd just seen your dead cousin dancing with a Clicker in the distance. "What? I'm not?" you said, knowing Ellie wouldn't buy your bluff. "Hey, you promised to answer truthfully," she insisted, making you roll your eyes. "I never said I'll answer." You shrugged your shoulders, and Ellie gave you a slightly annoyed look.
"Babe... be honest," her voice calm and almost a whisper, her body leaning against the sofa frame. "Dina and I talked about this. She feels insecure, like she's done something wrong. And thinking about it, I feel like you've been avoiding me as well. The only time I ever see you is on patrol. It used to be more, you know? We barely talk. I think it's rather sad. Have I done something? Has Dina made you uncomfortable? Don't give me that look, love. I'm trying to understand you." Her voice shifted from calm to confused, and you knew right away that Ellie wouldn't let this go until she knew the real reason for your distance.
"No... Dina did nothing wrong."It's the only thing you're able to answer. You look down at your hand, playing with the matching bracelet you share with Ellie. „Did I do something...?"you hear her whisper, her voice filled with insecurity. Your heart clenches at the thought of being the reason why Ellie's overthinking her behavior. So, before you can overthink your next move, you look up to her. You move your body a bit closer and lay your hand on her knee, comfortably caressing the fabric of her skinny jeans.
"No... God, of course not. You did nothing wrong. It's just... it's me."Her eyes meet yours, and you know right then and there that you're fucked, unable to lie with her eyes looking at you like that. „What is it, then?"she whispers, resting her own hand on yours. The touch makes you feel like you need to run away as fast as possible. „I... I'm hurt, okay?"You say it with all the honesty in your heart. „Hurt? From what? Dina and I didn't—"You don't let Ellie finish her sentence. Instead, you get up from the comfortable sofa and run your hands over your face. "... this is exactly why I don't want to talk to either of you!"You're now standing in the middle of the room, looking at Ellie who remains in the same sitting position. Her eyes follow you as you pace the small common room.
"You and Dina, all day... when I hang out with you, you only tell me how beautiful she is, how perfect you guys are together, and how deeply in love you are. If I hang with D, it's the same fucking story."Your voice shakes with all the built-up anger inside of you. You're well aware that you don't have the right to be mad about those two people falling in love. You've never even addressed your feelings to anyone else except your mirror at 3 am. How are Ellie or Dina supposed to know that it's ripping you apart? "And what's your problem with that? And did Dina really say she’s into me too?" Ellie asks, and you couldn't help the tears already welling up in your eyes again. "Yes, she did, Ellie. You know she feels the fucking same," you say, your voice breaking into a desperate whisper.
"Hey, the fuck?" Ellie's voice is already alarmed with worry as she gets up to walk those three more steps, entering your personal space again. Her hand reaches for yours, but you subtly step away from her, your back slightly hitting the white wall behind you. "Love, what? Why are you crying? What does Dina feeling the same have to do with you avoiding us?" She asks, her eyes showing some sort of disappointment the second you stepped away from her."Just... forget it, okay? I don't want to talk about it." You mumble, your voice breaking. "But I want to talk about it." Ellie's eyes never leave yours until you look down at your dirty, almost broken Converse shoes. "Ellie, just leave it b—" You get interrupted by Ellie's sharp voice cutting you off. "For fucks sake, can you be fucking honest for once? I don't get your fucking problem. You don't talk, you ignore me and Dina, and now you're saying it's because Dina and I are falling for each other? I thought you're fucking happy for me! Like a best friend should be! I don't understand you, really, I don't." Her voice grows louder with every word. You try to say something again, but you can't bring yourself to talk. You notice Ellie walking toward you again, the wall behind you failing your escape. You felt anger rushing over you, mixed with regret and.. disappointment.
"How about you finally say what you think, huh? Can't go around treating your friends badly because you have some weird jealousy problems. It’s not my fault you don’t have other friends besides me”She's mad, and you know she doesn't understand your reasoning for drifting away from her. Deep down, you also know she's just hurt and, more importantly, scared of losing you.
"...Why are we still talking about this?" You say, and for the first time in what feels like forever, you look into her eyes. She's already looking at you, and god, she's close—too close. "We're going to talk about this until you tell me what's going on." Tears continue to stream down your face for the second time today but this time not because you were sad. You were angry, without even being sure at who you’re angry at.You shake your head, not wanting to answer, and begging to whatever is above you to somehow make Ellie drop the entire topic. ''No, no, you'll answer me right now. What the hell is wrong with you?'' Her hands grabbing your shoulders, pressing your body more against the wall behind you. „You already know it anyways, now let go of me.'' You said, although you were not even trying to pushing her away. ''Not until you answer me with your own words. I Can do this all day'' She said. ''fuck, els, you don't want to know, okay? Just forget it, let me go and let's get the hell out of here''-''So that you can ignore me again? Hell no, we're having this talk now even if it's the last thing I’ll do'' She demanded. ''I don't know what you want from me right now, Ellie!'' you said, voice rising as well with every new word leaving your lips. ''The truth! Why the fuck are you avoiding us?!'' You closed your eyes, taking all that bravery you have left inside you to speak the next heart wracking words filled with honesty. ''Because I Can't handle you falling for somebody else. Because knowing you want her breaks my fucking heart, because I want to be the girl you think about, talk about, dream about! Because I fucking love you, okay?! I’m sorry!” You looked at her, eyes scared, like a little puppy. She didn't answer but didn't let go of your shoulder either. ''you happy now?'' You said and before Ellie could prevent it, you took the moment of her confusion as a way to escape her grip, pushing her away slightly. That movement was the wake-up call Ellie needed because she grabbed your shoulder again just to push you into almost the same position, back pressed against the cold wall.
And suddenly, you waited—waited what felt like ages—for the eclipse of her cutting words to happen. You anticipated her telling you to never talk to her again, accusing you of selfishness, and lamenting the ruin of a perfectly good friendship. But instead, there was silence. The only sound that reached your ears was her deep breathing, mirroring your own. And in that hot, suspended moment, you feared she could hear your heart beating, laid bare and vulnerable for her to either take or break. You studied her face intently, fear gripping your heart. Scared of what you might find in her expression. She does the same. Ellie's eyes traced every contour, mapping your features as if committing them to memory. And then, abruptly, her gaze halted. It rested on your lips-
"What are you doing?" you barely whispered, your voice a fragile thread in the charged air. The brown-haired girl lifted her gaze to meet your eyes once more, only to trace a deliberate path back down to your lips. A soft, almost imperceptible pressure settled against your chin, her hands holding you in place. Her thumb danced gently over your bottom lip, igniting a flutter of anticipation within you. You swallowed, the moment hanging suspended—a fragile bridge between friendship and something more you’re not ready to cross. "Ellie..." you murmured, the syllables almost lost in the charged silence. Her face drew closer to yours, breaths mingling, and before you could draw your next breath, her lips crashed onto yours without further hesitation. A simple kiss, yet it ignited a cosmic explosion within you. Her lips on yours transformed the quietude into a kaleidoscope of colors. Every rational thought in your brain was stripped away, replaced by her presence—the warmth of her hand still cradling your chin, the delicate shift as it left your shoulder to encircle your waist. Your fingers, guided by instinct, wove through her tousled hair, pulling her closer. Because when it's Ellie, close is never close enough.
As you finally convinced yourself to pull away, the air around you seemed to shimmer with heat. But your brain? It was a tangle of wordless wonder, unable to string coherent thoughts together. So, without hesitation, you drew her back into your space, pressing your soft lips against hers once more.
———————————————————
The ride back was weird. The air around the two of you, once filled with comfortable silence, had shifted. Now, it hung heavy with unspoken words, a chasm between you that seemed insurmountable.
After the kiss, neither of you said much. You swiftly wiped away your tears on the gray sweater you wore—a piece that belonged to Dylan, a memory of another time. Ellie, unable to meet your gaze, chose the only sensible course of action: finding a way out of the mall, escaping the charged atmosphere that clung to you both. Escaping you. And so, you found a backdoor, a clandestine escape from the weirdness that had enveloped you both. Even as you stepped into the outside world, a part of you wished you could linger within those walls a little longer. The horse up front awaited you, and you mounted it, riding away from the mall. The silence between you and Ellie weighed heavily, an unspoken question echoing: Why did it all become so weird?
Embarrassment clung to the silence, and you wondered what comfort you had once found in the noise—the cacophony of everyday life. But answers eluded you. As you returned to Jackson, Ellie by your side, you led the horses back to the stable. Maria received a brief explanation about the situation inside the building, her eyes curious but respectful. And then, without uttering a single word, you and Ellie went your separate ways. The silence remained, a chasm that neither of you dared to bridge.
This was 2 Days, 5 Hours and 54 Minutes ago. But who's Counting, right?
Ever since then, knowing you had three days off parole with her, you barricaded yourself at home. Maria didn't question it; she probably assumed it was because the bloader brought back too many memories. You certainly wouldn't correct her on that theory. Instead, you settled by the big window in your living room, watching raindrops trace their paths on the glass. But it couldn’t it stay that way and you knew eventually you'd have to talk to her, face her, and work with her. You didn't want things to become even more awkward than they already were. So you prepared yourself for a long, difficult talk.
With what felt like hours of convincing yourself and an argument you played out in your head, you got up and made yourself look presentable again. Leaving the comfort of your house, you took a little walk around the built neighbourhood in Jackson, pondering what you'd even say to her. Instead of taking the short road leading directly to Ellie's safe four walls, you made your way to one of the information stations across town, just to have a quick look at next week's schedule.
Arriving there, you meet a friendly face: Sophia. She's almost like Maria's right hand, diligently putting up new lists every week. You give her a small smile, though the turmoil inside you threatens to spill over. Her pitying look doesn't go unnoticed. Your eyes scan the handwritten list, searching for your and Ellie's names, followed by the assigned route. But something catches your attention: Ellie's name isn't next to yours anymore; it's now paired with Dina. You blink, thinking it's some cruel, messed-up joke. Your eyes dart around, seeking your initials, and there they are—next to Jesse.
"What the hell?" you mumble, the confusion swirling in your mind. Sophia approaches, sensing your distress. "Can I help you with anything?" she asks, her voice gentle. You hesitate, then blurt out, "Why am I assigned with Jesse instead of Ellie? Is this some sick joke?"
Regret tinges your voice; it's not Sophia's fault. Mistakes happen, right? She shifts uncomfortably, glancing at You. "Oh, Maria didn't talk to you yet?" she says, reading your expression. "Uhm, Williams, here." She points to the list, where Ellie's name is scrawled in an unsteady handwriting. "Asked Maria to switch parole partners... I don't know why," Sophie mumbles, fear evident in her eyes on how you'd take the news.
You turn to the door hearing a cracking sound, and there's Maria, striding toward you with multiple papers in hand.
"Maria, what the—" Your words catch in your throat. Maria's weathered face meets your gaze. "Hey, sweetie, don't give me that look," she says gruffly. "I tried to talk Ellie out of it, but she insisted on changing partners. Didn’t even gave me an explanation but I could tell she was serious. And since you and Jesse are friends as well, I thought it wouldn't make much of a difference. He can help you out” she said, making it sound like not a big deal.
She insisted on changing.
The words hang in the air, a sledgehammer to your already fragile heart. Is this how it’s going to be from now on? What are you supposed to do?

Domesticity ♡ Jonathan Crane (smut)
pairing: Jonathan Crane (Nolan Verse) x Reader
summary: Jonathan really wants to get you pregnant, it takes a little convincing for you to take it seriously.
warnings: somewhat possessive behavior from Crane, talk of pregnancy, smut, female reader, just the usual stuff! also, it's not really a warning, but its a pretty simple fluff-smut fic. It's kind of out of character lol.
a/n: sorry for not posting very often, i've been doing really important stuff and definitely not just rewatching the Sopranos again... anyways, I'll probably start posting again since I'm out of a creative funk and have like a million drafts in my docs right now. thanks!
word count: 1.7k
It was soft and gray outside by the time Jonathan got home. The sky was full of clouds and the house was quiet. He put down his briefcase and untied his shoes as he walked into the quiet apartment he shared with you. He could feel this distinct sense of neediness for you he’s become accustomed to when he has a long day. Something was comforting about you, something he couldn’t place his finger on, but you made him happy. It was what most would consider love, but for him, it was all too new for him to name it.
You were laying on your stomach with your elbows perched on the mattress of your soft bed as you read some book Jonathan had recommended to you. You wouldn’t have noticed Jonathan had returned if he hadn’t dragged your attention from the book laid out in front of you by clearing his throat as he walked into your shared bedroom. You looked up at him with that same doting smile you had whenever you saw him and made your way to him. He glanced over at you as he began to take off his tie but your hands quickly replaced his.
“Wait,” You said as you stood in front of him. “Let me do it.”
“Whatever you want.” He replied as if he was doing you a favor.
Truth be told, he liked your desire to do small things for him. There were little things you did that meant you cared about him, despite how cold and cranky he could be occasionally. He would find his glasses cleaned after going to shower or you would get his favorite suits dry cleaned without him even saying anything about it. All those little acts of domesticity he admired in private. He had his acts of fondness as well, he’d stop and pick you up a small treat on his way home and sometimes if he was feeling especially romantic, he would place a vase and flowers out on the kitchen table for you. There were plenty of silent acts of a proper home life that you both devoted time to.
“How was work?” You asked him once you finished taking off his tie and placed it on the dresser.
“It was fine.” He said before giving you a quick kiss on the forehead.
He hated talking about work with you, it was better to keep it vague and short. Anytime you prodded for more detailed responses he would brush it out with a simple, ‘patient confidentiality.’
“I missed you today.” You softly murmured as you wrapped your arms around him and rested your head on his chest.
“Likewise.” He said while slowly caressing your hair.
It was easy for him to just think about you during these moments, with your warmth enrapturing him in a spiderweb of affection. He could put off his alter ego for a night of your intimacy and during these nights, he often thought about how easy it would be just to enjoy you and enjoy the life you could have together. Seeing you so sweet on him made him want to keep you like this forever, something more binding than just living together.
“Thought about you all day.” He softly murmured against your neck as he pulled you over top of him on the bed.
“Yeah?” You asked with a teasing smile. “What in particular?” You asked.
“Thought about you just like this,” He replied, pulling you closer till there was practically no room between you, chest to chest. “You look so pretty.” He added.
You loved his praise, even the simplest of words made you get butterflies like how you did when you first met him. Knowing he was known as cold and bitter to most made it all the more special to hear him speak so fondly of you. You kissed the side of his neck and let out a content sigh as his hands slipped underneath your shirt and fondled your breasts for a moment. You let your neck fall back as he began to kiss the side of your neck and worked his way to your jaw. His teeth sunk suddenly into your jaw which caused you to hiss.
“I was thinking about another thing too,” He added as he pulled away for a moment. “I kept on thinking about how much prettier you’d look with my come in you.” He mumbled the last bit and it made you blush deeply.
“Jon,” You said with a small smile, your hand grazing his cheek. “We’re not married yet, you already wanna knock me up?”
“Don’t be so old-fashioned,” He said as he quickly maneuvered your body to be under his. “It’s just an idea.” He replied as he buried his face into your neck and began to kiss it with a certain amount of passion.
“I’m not against it.” You said quietly as your hands ran down his shoulders. “Just… Are you serious? That’s a big step for us.”
“Of course, I’m being serious.” He says as he pulls from your neck and gazes at you. “I gave myself a hard-on today just thinking about what’d it be like to see you pregnant with my kid.”
You couldn’t help but smile at the declaration. You always had figured he wasn’t one to even think about settling down, that just didn’t seem like him at all, but here he was, talking about having a child with you.
“Never thought I would hear you say something so affectionate.” You giggled and kissed his cheek.
“Can’t help myself.” He murmured as he kissed your lips and then pulled back. “Maybe I just want to marry you and get you pregnant. Have you here taking care of our kid and being a good little mother.”
He kissed you harder than before, clearly getting worked up over the thought of you as a mother. You didn’t mind the thought he had. It made you feel desired beyond just sexual attraction, to want to procreate meant something deeper than moving in with each other or having a pair of his shoes next to yours in the closet.
“Do you want me to dress up in a pin-up dress and wear pearls too?” You asked with a giggle, to which he bit your lip for.
“Don’t tease.” He reprimanded.
Based on his growing erection, he probably did want you to wear the dress and kitten heels, maybe not all the time but just to take it off. Jonathan got needier as he felt you through your clothes. He took your shorts off and discarded them carelessly before rubbing you through your panties. You grunted and pushed your hips to his hands.
“You do want it,” Jonathan mused as he felt your soaked panties. “You just wanna be a housewife with your cunt full of my come, hm?”
“Jonathan,” You mewled. “Just wanna make you happy.”
“You are making me happy,” He said with a small grin as he slipped his hands underneath the seam of your panties and pumped two fingers into you quickly. “It would make me a lot happier to see you nice and pregnant though.”
Jonathan loved how he barely had to touch you to get you into a whimpering mess underneath him. Your face always flushed into a pretty shade of red and your hands held onto him tightly whenever he gave you his fingers. Little moans and whines escaped your lips, no matter how hard you tried to conceal them. His hands left you for a moment as he took off his belt and then took off your shirt, making another short moan of neediness escape your lips.
“Can I come in you tonight?” He asked as he touched the bottom of your stomach, already imagining a phantom bump. “You’d make a great mother.”
Frantically you nodded, hands falling to his chest and pulling off his shirt. He worked on his pants and tossed them to the floor. You kissed him swiftly once he was as bare as you were and felt him hold your leg by the back of your knee as he teased you with more small pumps of his fingers.
“Tell me you want it as bad as I do, sweetheart.” He told you in a hushed voice.
“I want it,” You replied in a whisper. “Wanna have your baby.”
He didn’t need much confirmation after that. Hastily he moved your legs over his shoulders, knowing this position would let him get deep inside of you. Jonathan lined himself up and slowly filled your cunt up with his cock. You quickly inhaled and grabbed his shoulders for some support as he rocked into you. You moaned and felt tears in your eyes from the pressure in your cunt. He sneaked his hand to clit and rubbed it quickly, making everything seem a tad overwhelming. With your orgasm building sharply, you closed your eyes tightly as your cunt clenched around him, making both of you shiver. His hand kept circling your clit making feel more than overwhelmed at this point.
“That’s it,” He grunted from over the top of you. “Gonna make you a mommy, make you full.”
You inhaled in response, his hips coming down into you faster and faster. A few curses tumbled from your lips as another orgasm approached. Sweat began to form at your temple and once the separate orgasm came and went, your legs trembled.
“I’m so close,” He warned you in a hoarse voice. “Fuck, just gonna fill you up with my come and make you mine completely.”
You were too overstimulated to really hear what he was saying, everything blurred together at that moment. He gave you a few more unforgiving thrusts and then came inside of you, holding himself still for a moment to keep it all there. You caught your breaths together and kissed you on the forehead.
“Thank you.” He murmured as he lifted off of you and laid down beside you.
You smiled and then gave him a small kiss on the lips and went to the bathroom, feeling a bit shaky but strangely content with this new declaration. After you cleaned up you went and laid back down with him. He seemed miles away again, eyes fixed on the drawn blinds of your window. You couldn’t tell if he was feeling guilt or maybe a tinge of worry after all of that but you just nestled your head into his chest, listening to his heartbeat.

From what we’ve seen so far it almost looks like Carlos has been trying to make it easier for Charles? Take the chili plushie clip, Carlos is clearly teary eyed but he still tries to make Charles laugh. He is the one who’s hurting but he puts his own hurt aside because he notices that Charles is sad too and he has to make him laugh, because if there’s something else I’ve noticed in the past years is that Carlos loves seeing Charles happy
Anon! Firstly, are you the same anon from the other day? Let me kiss your brain, because I love talking about these boys so so so much and for some reason people really enjoyed the conversation we had. Anyway!!!! Let's talk about this for a second. Carlos is definitely having a hard time. If we're going blindly on the timeline, we have to assume Carlos knows about his exit from Ferrari ever since before the Dakar finale, (this is just especulation, though, because we don't know for certain) and he sort of, kind of, blew off Ferrari and the Maranello trials to go celebrate with his dad. Pretty sure he wouldn't have done this if he didn't have enough leverage on Ferrari because the trials at Maranello are SUPER important, but first, his dad just won Dakar at his age, and then he's like: well, I mean, I'm getting kicked out of the team anyway and I won't be active during the development of the next car, so, whatever, let's just do this,-- and he went and did it. That's my idea. He needed to be with his father because they all knew. I'm pretty sure they even knew during the training camp at Madrid / Portugal because he's surrounded by friends and already doing the absolute most to get in an amazing shape because he needs to be his best version this year. But-- then when he meets up with Charles again, Charles even feels blindsided. Because like I said previously, Lewis is Lewis. And he comes with sponsors and 7 world titles and his experience and all of a sudden Charles isn't really Ferrari's most important figure inside the team. So they're both trying to soothe each other. Because for the first time ever, Charles doesn't feel like the golden boy, he probably even feels like Ferrari did him dirty (that's what I would've thought, anyway) because who pays two or three times your salary to your second driver? Not any team, that's for certain. Carlos was stability for Charles and it's like his world was thrown off its axis. They were equals, similar in status, genuinely a good team. Charles feels bad and Carlos sees it, because he's lost his teammate, they were supposed to beat Ferrari's record of the teammates that lasted longer and now, well.
And Carlos knows this, and sees Charles handling it just as bad as himself and goes: well. If I don't have to think about this, and make him laugh, then neither of us need to focus on this, right? And the first challenge rolls around and he's tired but Charles is doing his best so why not sing until Charles' annoyed so he doesn't have to see how bone-tired Carlos is? He's sort of protecting Charles' heart by protecting his own. And then there's the little chili and I can simply see Carlos' thought process: this is the last first race of the year with Ferrari, and someone gifted him a chili. And he's chili and he's smooth operator and he's supposed to be fine, but his throat closes up and his eyes fill with tears and he doesn't want Charles to see him like this but it's so much. So he tries to laugh it off. And when he sees that Charles is also thinking the same thing he says, well. At least we're in this together. So he makes Charles laugh by saying he was a chili, too. We don't know what he means, but Charles is so fond and so filled with nostalgia that he laughs, anyway, even though his throat is dry and his eyes are filled with tears. And he gets to keep the chili plushie after Carlos reminded him they're supposed to part ways.
Remember Monza 2022? When Carlos completely ignored the woman who was guiding him to the back of the track so he could follow protocol? And he broke protocol to ask Charles if he was okay? Yeah, that's Carlos, to me. And I no longer feel like he's the only one capable of doing that for Charles, I really have seen Charles fight british and italian press and tell them to respect Carlos' last year in Ferrari, and I see Charles perfectly capable to soothe Carlos as much as Carlos has tried to soothe him. Because he's mourning in front of all of us, basically. And Carlos did go to Jeddah not only to help Ollie, but for Charles' sake, too. Did you see the smile Charles had on his face when they asked him about Carlos and he said that he'd called Senior and he'd told him that it was all okay and that he might've been going to the track later that day? He's doing that in front of all of us, showing us how much Carlos means to him. This is the best and worst time for Charlos fans right now and we have to deal with these two behaving like that for the rest of the year. I don't know how we're going to cope. Again, thank you for sending me these, because I just love to type until I don't make any sense.
#Charlos#Carlos Sainz Jr#Charles Leclerc#vic talks#ask#anon#i'm sorry if this makes even less sense than the previous one#it's been a weird week and it's like let's talk about charlos to cope#again don't just like the post TELL ME YOUR THOUGHTS!#1655#c square#charlos thoughts

I’D LOVEEEE if you could do a cullens x indian s/o ? there’s NOTHING with Indian x Twilight so i’d super appreciate it ! you don’t have to be super educated about the indian culture just mentioning the outfits and food are enough ! TYSM ! also its fine if u can’t do it . I loveee ur work and I ADORE the fact that you don’t like angst like LETS BE HAPPY LOL !
The Cullens with an Indian! SO
I’ve mentioned it before but I am a white woman and I do not know like anything so sorry if this is completely wrong 🙏
And I’m so glad that someone else loves fluff!!! Like just let me be happy if I wanted to be sad I’d go talk to my dad or smthn fr
Thank you for requesting and I hope you enjoy!
Edward:
This man has over 10 degrees
He loves to learn
So he is more than willing and happy to sit down and learn about your culture
He asks so many questions
The last thing he wants is to assume something to be true and then embarrass himself when it’s not
So yes he will ask about literally every single little thing
Does his best to respect your culture as well
He wants to learn about all of your folk tales
He wants to listen to all of the music
Hell, he’ll even fly you out to India if you want to go
And he doesn’t take shit from anyone
If anyone says anything that could be even remotely perceived as racist, he is sending them the hardest glare ever
Also there’s a pretty good chance that he can speak Hindi so at least he’ll impress your family
Alice:
She LOVES your culture
She appreciates fashion of all kinds
But I feel like she would love the intricate designs and patterns of sarees and henna especially
Invite her to a wedding please please please
She doesn’t care whose it is
She just wants to go and admire all of the outfits
She is also very open to learning anything you want to teach her
You have a recipe that has been passed down in your family for generations? She’s ready to learn it
Also your parents definitely love her
How could they not tbh
If you wear henna a lot, look no further than your personal artist
She just has so much love and respect for your culture
And you of course
Jasper:
He’s pretty inexperienced
If you asked him what language is commonly spoken in India he would say Indian
But once he meets you and starts to get more comfortable around you, he does his own research
He doesn’t want to burden you with making you explain everything to him
He’s so worried about screwing something up that he just… doesn’t do anything
Like if he reads something about there being a specific holiday, he doesn’t do anything for it
He just gets in his head about what if you don’t celebrate that, what if he does the wrong thing, what if it’s not a holiday at all
You’re gonna need to help him out a little
Or else he’s just gonna stay stewing in his own self doubt for forever
But he’s got the spirit
Rosalie:
She knows next to nothing about basically every culture that’s not American
Not because she doesn’t want to learn
But because it’s just never been a relevant thing for her
Like no she has no idea about the cultural practices in India because she’s never had to go there or been close to anyone from there
But now you’re here, she loves you, and she wants to learn
She finds that she absolutely loves the clothing styles
Especially at weddings
I mean, she already loves extravagant weddings
So this is right up her alley
She’s a little sad to find out the fact that henna doesn’t do anything to her skin
So she just makes do by doing it on yours ❤️
Emmett:
Ok this is going to sound bad but stick with me
He doesn’t particularly care about your culture
Not in a mean way of like “you want me to celebrate what with you? No not doing it”
But in a way of it’s not what’s most important to him
You as a person is more important to him than your cultural background
That doesn’t mean he isn’t willing to learn
It just means he’s more likely to remember your birthday than a holiday
But again, he is more than willing to learn anything you want to teach him
He will sit down and listen to anything you want to say
And he will remember it perfectly
But he doesn’t go out of his way to seek out the knowledge
But he is the best when it comes to people being racist
He can throw a punch with the force of a semi truck and he’s not afraid to do it
Esme:
We know that she does her homework when it comes to meeting new people
She made Italian food for Bella because she was 90% sure she was Italian
I feel like she carries that same energy
She does her best to cook food or put on movies that she thinks you’ll like
But overall food is definitely her favorite
She loves to cook, it’s one of her favorite hobbies
But she doesn’t have anyone to cook for
So you best believe she is always making something for you to eat
And she does her best to learn traditional dishes and how to make them
Carlisle:
He has traveled all over the world and experienced many cultures
He knows all about the history and culture of your country
So you don’t really need to explain anything to him
He’s just respectful like that
King
He will go with you to all of your parties or family get-togethers
He will help you make any dish at all
And he will fly you anywhere in the world or sightsee any country you want
But your culture isn’t the thing he notices most about you
He just loves you
Vampire! Bella:
She’s super curious
She has been three (3) places in her whole life
Forks, Arizona, and Italy for all of a day
So she knows actually nothing about your culture
Sure she knows what she learned in school, but honestly that’s not a lot
She wants to know everything that you’re willing to tell her
What holidays you celebrate, your favorite foods, the history of your family
And she will definitely try her best for you
You might have to be the one to drape her saree

avoidance is so weird because it’s so temptingly easy to pretend it’s not there when it’s not at its absolute worst.
when i’m at my lowest, my avoidance becomes volatile and dangerous — it means almost daily mental breakdowns, it means probably wanting to hurt myself or worse, it’s means things are bad bad. but times like now? where i’m in a better place and i don’t have to interact with people often enough to trigger it too badly? it’s easy to pretend i’m fine.
and that’s not because i don’t have symptoms — there’s a big glaring reason i don’t have a job yet, that i stay in the house pretty much every day and (aside from the family i live with) only ever see my safe person, that there’s a million important doctor calls i haven’t made yet, that i have my name change papers all ready to go but haven’t changed any of my documents yet. the avoidance is obviously still there and still causing problems, and i know my life doesn’t look how it should.
but because it’s not destroying my default mental state right now, it feels like i’m lying to myself and i’m totally mentally healthy and i have nothing to worry about. and when i see my therapist, the way i describe things sounds like there’s nothing going wrong in my life because there’s no active bad shit, just a lot of things that aren’t happening. and how do you quantify the absence of something?
how do i explain that the problem isn’t that i’m unhappy, it’s not that there’s bad things to fix, it’s just that most of the time, there’s nothing at all? that i’m mostly happy because i don’t have much of a life right now, and if i were to get my life to a better place from a practical standpoint i would almost definitely be thrown back into a worse mental state?
i’m trying to find a balance that allows me to have a decent life and decent mental health, but god, it’s hard to do when it would be so much easier and less exhausting to just stay stagnant forever and hold onto the relative peace that comes with that.
#tbh the only thing stopping me from staying like this forever#is 1) i hate not having money to get little serotonin trinkets with and 2) i Cannot keep living with my parents long term#also yes hello im not dead and neither is this blog#poss.speaks#avpd#actually avpd#actually avoidant#avoidant pd#avoidant personality disorder#cluster c

From Goth to Ghost
Here is my second fic for @ecto-implosion! I was so excited to get @blonchie's art for this round. It is sooooo fun and silly and ah it made for such a great writing experience! Please do yourself a favor and CHECK IT OUT!
Thank you to @lexiepiper and @fridurwrites for betaing!
Characters: Sam, Danny, Tucker Tags/warnings: No Warnings, Halfa!Sam (temporarily) Summary: The last thing Sam expected to wake up to was her body frozen on her bed. But unfortunately, thanks to a certain jock's midnight ponderings and the interference of one wish-granting ghost, that was exactly how she started off her morning.
[read on ao3]
[part 2]
****
In a land far, far away, a figure sat on his bed staring wistfully out his window. The moon gazed back at him, bright and round as it was. A shining beacon of hope for all teen boys around the globe. A message that no matter what trials lay ahead, they could face anything.
This boy in particular didn't just hear that message, but he internalized it deep inside his very soul. He pondered it, he tossed and turned it in his head, folding it gently like a baker mixing fluffy, delicate cake batter. He tasted it, added a pinch of salt, some sugar, a little more flour, mixing—but not over-mixing—until the batter was just right.
It was a powerful feeling, these sorts of deep, poetic thoughts. When most of his day was spent replaying football plays in his brain, or thinking of nicknames for a certain, dweeby classmate of his, having moments where he could just be one with his deepest thoughts was almost meditative.
Not that he meditated, of course. Meditating was for hippies and girls, and he was neither of these things.
For he was strong, he was powerful, and he was truly the master of his own brain. This was why, as he pondered the essence of the Universe and all its inhabitants, he was so lost in thought that he nearly missed the shooting star jetting across the sky.
But, of course, he didn't miss that shooting star—which could have been an airplane, actually—because he could never miss such fine, delectable details about life such as that.
Well, it didn't really matter if that shooting star was moving far too slowly to be a shooting star after all. Perhaps it was a satellite?
This was a topic that a certain nerd would know. Not that this boy cared at all about that dweeb.
Most important, was addressing the reason for all his pondering in the first place. Which was the fact that the local ghost boy was, confusingly, very attractive.
Which made no sense. Phantom was dead. And also a boy. And this intelligent, strong, charismatic soul pondering out his window was a boy, too, and also very much alive.
Was it gay if he was dead?
Either way, it didn't make any sense for him to be attracted to that ghost. Even if they were both very amazing, handsome guys, and even if maybe it would be very cool to date a hero.
Well, as this charismatic and kind young teen stared out his window at the passing definitely-not-a-satellite shooting star and the full moon beside it, an idea suddenly popped into his head.
It was a great idea, really, following the storybooks.
And so, Dash opened his mouth and wished upon a shooting star, "I wish Phantom was a chick."
****
"So you have wished it, so it shall be."
****
Something was off.
That was the first thing Sam knew, even before she was fully conscious. She lay there in her half-asleep daze, trying to fight the looming dread of her morning alarm, and the only thing that her brain could think of was the ever-encroaching feeling in her chest and mind that something, somewhere, was off.
But her alarm hadn't gone off yet, so really, what was there to worry about? It was probably just the vestiges of her mother's voice from last night needling her brain. Sam couldn't even remember now what they'd been arguing about—probably about her wardrobe, again—but either way, it wasn't important.
So, she fell back asleep.
...
And shot up in her bed.
Wait, why did it feel like she was breathing ice?
That wasn't right.
She placed a hand on her chest, and something pushed back.
She froze. Her blood ran cold.
Literally.
She froze herself to her bed.
Sam stared down at her frost-covered legs, her blanket doing little more to keep her warm than acting as a decorative set piece. Her jaw unhinged in a manner that would have had her mom screaming at her to mind your manners, young lady—but her screams were silent, and each breath sent shards of microscopic ice from her lips.
Her room's temperature plummeted, surely, but Sam could hardly feel it. In fact, it felt better to her now that the air was cold.
And then, her brain caught up, too quickly, and began moving light-years beyond her body. Because holy shit, she'd seen this before, she'd heard of this before, from one person, from Danny.
This she felt in her chest was a core. A ghost core. And this frost was ghost powers, and her ice was ecto-ice, and everything about her screamed Danny's ghost powers.
She must have been dreaming. That was right, she was definitely dreaming. There was no way she was a ghost. She hadn't died! She'd gone to sleep last night healthy and happy—okay, she'd gotten in a fight with her mom. But still! Her mom was a total Karen, but she wouldn't have killed Sam in her sleep. She was crazy, but not that kind of crazy.
Before her brain could spiral too far, the cursed sound of her alarm snapped her back to reality. Except, her hands had frozen to her pajamas.
And she had no idea how to turn her powers off.
Great. So, not only was she dead, but she was also cursed to be the most obnoxiously annoying haunted-mansion ghost that Amity Park's ever known.
Perfect. It was just what every goth always dreamed.
How did Danny turn this thing off? His powers tended to flare when he was agitated, which meant she just had to calm down.
Okay.
Yeah.
She could totally calm down.
She sat there, head spinning, the alarm still blaring, and half expecting her mother to storm the gate that was her bedroom door and demand Sam get out of bed right this instant, but no, that wasn't helping.
So she closed her eyes and breathed.
Just breathed.
She thought of a warm day. Even if the goth inside her wanted shadows, she thought of the sun. A human sun, on a warm day, with a full-blue sky that turned into a warm, summer night. Peaceful, surrounded by nature, roasting vegetarian hot dogs around the campfire with her two geeky homebody friends who'd finally put down their technology to join her in this moment.
Her fingers wiggled, and it took Sam a moment to realize that the ecto-frost was gone. When she opened her eyes, her clothing and bedding were dry like the frost had never been there to begin with.
But before she could wonder if she'd gone crazy, she felt another pulse from that alien chill in her chest, and reality hit her like a truck all over again.
BEEP BEEP BEEP!
She shut off her alarm.
The world was finally, finally silent.
And Sam was afraid to move. Afraid that one wrong twitch would set off her new ghost powers again. Afraid that next time, her mother really was going to barrel through her door and gasp and faint because, "Oh, Sammykins! What happened to you?"
She looked at her hands, but human skin stared back at her.
Human skin. Not glowing, green-tinged ghost skin. Human skin.
She peeled back her comforter, but her legs didn't glow either. They were dressed in the same black and purple fleece pants she always wore to sleep. Not a ghost outfit, a human one.
What. The. Hell.
Without thinking, she grabbed her phone from her nightstand and swiped to the one name on her contact list she knew could help.
Or, she hoped.
The phone rang in her ear. One ring, two, then three. Sam's heart thudded in her ears. Wait, heart? Since when did she have a heart?
This idiot had better be awake.
Four rings, then five.
If she had a heart, then maybe she wasn't dead. Danny had a functioning heart, didn't he? Sam couldn't remember. His biology was so strange and inconsistent. Maybe he did, which meant that maybe Sam wasn't dead dead; maybe she was just a halfa!
But how?
On the sixth ring, he picked up. His voice was thick, full of unshed sleep as he mumbled in a scratchy, drawn-out voice, "Sam? Wha...?"
"Danny!" Sam could taste the relief on her lips. "Danny, I need your help. I don't—something—"
"Whoa." Danny's voice on the other end was low, and oddly alert.
But whatever issue he was having could hold off. "I don't know how to explain this! I just. You need to. Ugh, I don't know what's happening!"
"Wait," he said, almost distracted, as if he weren't actually talking to Sam.
No, her problems came first right now. "Danny, please!"
"Wait, wait, wait. Hang on, Sam, something—"
"I have a ghost core!"
"My core is missing!"
Silence echoed off the walls of the cell line between them. Sam's body was a cacophony of both wanting to breathe hard because that was what her body was used to, and also scoffing at the idea of breathing to calm down because breathing was pointless and she was a ghost, damnit! She could do better than that! Even though she wasn't a ghost. She was alive, she reminded herself.
Even if absolutely none of this should be possible.
It was Danny who broke the silence first. "Wait, what?"
Sam needed no further prompting to let the words spill from her mouth. "I have a ghost core now! I just woke up like this and I have no idea how it happened!"
To Sam's surprise, Danny began to laugh.
Genuinely laugh.
"What the hell, Danny?" Sam hissed. Around her, the lights flickered.
"No, sorry, it's just that I'm glad that this mystery is already halfway solved. If you were anyone else, I don't know what I would have done."
"What are you talking about?"
"I'm saying my core is gone, Sam! Not off, but like, gone. It's not in my chest anymore. I'm human. But you have a ghost core. So somehow it seems like my core moved into your body."
Sam jerked back in bed, leaning against her disheveled cushions and scoffing. "That's ridiculous."
Danny didn't miss a beat. "Yeah, but my entire life is ridiculous. That's kind of part of the deal."
"Okay, fair. But still, what the hell am I going to do? I don't know how to use this core! I'm going to get discovered by first period!"
"Sam." Danny laughed. "Be real. I've transformed in the middle of the street and no one's ever caught me."
Well, he did have a point.
"Seriously, you'll be fine. And besides, even if you do accidentally turn invisible in front of someone, everyone in this town knows that when people get ecto-contamination, they sometimes show weird ghostly side effects. It wouldn't be too hard to say, oh I don't know, you accidentally dropped a beaker of one of my parents' inventions on you and you're just having some side effects while it wears off!"
If Sam wasn't trying to reassure herself that everything would be okay, she might have been impressed at how easily Danny thought of that simple lie. Impressed, and also maybe a little concerned.
"You'll be fine! Just hang tight ‘til we can figure out what's going on, anyway."
"Sure," she said. She breathed, releasing the knot in her stomach as she did. "Okay, okay, I'm good now."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah. Okay, see you in a bit."
She clicked off before he could respond, and her phone slipped through intangible fingers, bouncing against her mattress and settling next to her leg.
She had ghost powers.
Not just any ghost powers, but Danny's ghost powers.
Somehow.
Inexplicably.
Neither of them had a single clue why, but somehow, they'd managed to swap human-halfa statuses.
So, Sam had Danny's ghost powers. His Phantom powers. The powers he, an overpowered halfa, used to fight other ghosts. And now, Sam had them in the palm of her hand.
Literally.
And she had to act normal.
Right. Yes. Yup, that was fine. This was all totally fine.
"Sammykins!" the nails-on-chalkboard sound of her mother's shrill voice called from the bannister. "Get up! You're going to be late for school!"
Sam could feel the ectoblast tingling at her fingertips.
But no, this wasn't a dangerous creature. Okay, her mother was absolutely a dangerous creature, especially when given the power of the PTA on her side.
Sam shuddered. The PTA was everyone in town's worst nightmare.
But still, this was her mother, a human. A very annoying, preppy woman. Not a dangerous ghost. So, she squashed the tingling of the ectoplasm and jumped from her bed. "I know!"
Showering was odd. More than odd, actually, it was downright outrageous.
The hot water licked her skin like fire. It was muggy, and the humidity, once relaxing, suffocated her. Her internal body temperature rose with each passing second, and where she used to cry a defensive, "Goths don't sweat, we simmer!" to those who would poke fun at her not-so-summer attire, now, that simmering felt more like actual boiling.
Her hand shot out and yanked the lever to the cold setting. Almost immediately, the water went from trying to slow-roast her alive, to gently kissing her skin.
She sighed, both relief and horror filling her at once.
Relief because wow, this cold shower was seriously amazing.
And horror because to her recollection, the only people on Earth who enjoyed icy cold showers were male social media influencers who posted about waking up at five in the morning for the daily rise and grind.
If ghost powers turned her into a rise and grinder, Sam was going to kill herself.
Miraculously, she managed to get through the morning without her mother noticing anything. Well, probably because Sam and her mother rarely if ever interacted face-to-face in the morning. If they did, all Pam could manage was a comment about how Sam's outfit wasn't ladylike, while Sam could only respond with a scowl in her mother's direction. So, for both of their sanities, they found it best to interact as little as possible before they had their morning coffees.
Intangibility only caused her to drop her spider backpack once before she was able to sling the straps over her shoulders. It really was such a pesky thing, and she almost regretted all the times when she'd made fun of Danny's sudden clumsiness post-accident.
Almost.
But not quite.
Because what were best friends for if not to make fun of each other?
"Bye, Mom!" she yelled to the empty air and then stepped through the threshold of the door.
Or, tried.
She hadn't meant to literally step through the threshold. As in, begin sinking through the floor.
Heart pounding, she swung her hands out and caught the side of the doorframe. Using a mix of adrenaline and physical training, she pulled her body back up. Her legs returned to the world of tangibility, and she sat on the floor, breathing rapidly.
Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit.
What the hell was that?
She'd just stepped through the floor. She'd just stepped through the floor.
"Sam!" yelled out a voice from the street.
She'd never been so thankful to see the obnoxious yellow of Tucker's sweater before.
She opened her mouth, but the words caught in her throat, and her vision began swimming. Had Danny told him? Or was Tucker blissfully unaware? How was Sam going to explain all this?
Thankfully, Sam was saved.
"Need some help?" Tucker asked. "Danny texted!"
Normally, she would have felt insulted that anyone dare ask if she needed help up. But this time? Screw it.
"Yeah, actually."
"Are you leaving?" Sam's mother called from the bathroom upstairs where Sam knew she was layering her face under a mountain of anti-ageing products.
"Yup! Going now!" Sam answered. "Tucker's here!"
"Tell him not to walk on the lawn! I just got it trimmed!"
Sam rolled her eyes, turning back to the sound of Tucker’s footsteps traversing up their flawlessly power-washed walkway.
"Here." He held out his arm. "Don't worry, no one's looking."
Once convinced she wasn't going to start sinking to the other side of the planet again, Sam gingerly stood and tested her feet against the floor.
Her brain was happy to report that the floor was, in fact, solid.
Thank goodness.
She made quick work of shutting the door behind her, darting off her property, and, most importantly, getting away from her mother's prying eyes.
Once they were safely on the other side of the tall, privacy hedges, she whipped around to face Tucker and said, "I don't know what the hell Danny told you, but I'm kind of freaking out right now."
"So is he," Tucker said. "He said he'd meet us at school, by the way. He's poking around in his basement for any leads and then is gonna get a ride from Jazz. But I'll be honest, I thought y'all were pulling my leg ‘til I saw you going through the floor."
"Yeah, this is legit." Sam stuck her palm out and let the cold crystals surface on her skin, gathering them until they formed a sheet of ice on her palm. She saw Tucker's eyes widen and heard a sharp inhale with her newly acquired acute hearing, but otherwise, he didn't say anything until she tipped her palm over and let the ice fracture on the ground.
"What the hell?" Tucker breathed.
"Right?" Sam groaned. "I don't know what I'm going to do! I only barely have a lid on these powers right now."
"You'll be fine. Danny was, wasn't he?"
"Yeah, but Danny's core was a lot weaker back then. I've got it at full power right now, and I have zero idea where the brakes are in this thing."
Tucker didn't seem fazed, his stride overly bouncy and dare Sam say joyful for the situation at hand. "Yeah, but you're way more athletic and into the whole occult thing than Danny is anyway. You're a goth! I'm sure you'll figure it out. And if it makes you feel better, Danny's transformed in broad daylight loads of times and nobody's noticed."
"Yeah, he mentioned that over the phone too."
"Right? You'll be fine."
"Thanks, Tuck," Sam said, then faltered, her body flickering out of visibility for a split second before she rounded on Tucker, mouth gaping. "Wait, were you, Tucker Foley, trying to make me feel better? Me, the ultra recyclo vegetarian? Doesn't that go against your meat code of ethics or something?"
"Yeah, I know, right? What has the world come to where I'm out here consoling you? Tragic times and all."
Sam slugged his arm playfully.
"Don't tell Danny or he'll never let me live it down," Tucker added.
Sam snorted, adjusting her purple spider backpack straps and bounding forward. They walked in a comfortable silence for half a minute before Tucker broke her tranquility to talk about some game he was playing (badly, Sam mentally thought). He narrated his great epic about how much he'd grinded until he found some hack—a hack that Sam knew he didn't actually find but probably read about on Reddit—and at that point Sam was forced to interject because if Tucker had just played the game's tutorial properly or not skipped over all the cutscenes, he would have known a far easier way to level up than grinding those low-level monsters he'd been fighting and—ugh, Tucker could be so infuriating sometimes.
"See, I know you're mad at me right now because your eyes are literally glowing."
"I'm not mad at you!" Sam argued, pinching the bridge of her nose like she'd seen Danny do dozens of times to calm his eyes down. It didn't feel like it was doing much for her, though. "I just can't believe you're seriously so inept that you're resorting to digging for hacks on Reddit instead of just playing the game properly! See, this is why you suck at gaming. I don't play video games nearly as much as you but I always kick your ass because I try."
"And I don't?" Tucker said, affronted.
"No! You just look for cheats!"
"Because I'm working smarter, not harder!"
"And that's why you never get any better!"
They rounded the corner, and the school campus began peeking into view.
"Oh shit, hang on. I need to make my eyes stop glowing." Sam turned around to face the window of a closed store. Her reflection was faint, but even then she could see her eyes glowing fiercely. "Shit. How do I turn this off?"
"Don't be such a hothead."
Sam stamped her foot. "I'm not a hothead!"
"Oh damn, what am I walking into?" said a voice that had never filled Sam with so much relief as it did now.
A hand touched her shoulder, and Sam peered through her bangs to see the bright blue eyes of Danny Fenton. She took a deep breath from her gut just like she'd always practiced in her weekly yoga classes and felt the power recede into her body.
"Hey, Danny," she said sheepishly.
"You looked like you were about to punch Tucker through the window."
"I did want to punch Tucker through the window."
"What did that poor window ever do to you?" Tucker quipped.
Sam rolled her eyes. "Yeah, it's the window I was arguing with. You were just the projectile, for sure."
"Seems like you got pretty good control over these powers, though," Danny said, eyeing her up and down.
Sam imagined he was expecting to find her in his typical state: covered in some amount of blood, ectoplasm, and dirt. Fortunately, she'd managed to make it to school unscathed.
"Oh no, you totally missed the part where she literally ate shit going through her door," Tucker cackled, wiping an invisible tear from his eye. "It was amazing. You should have been there. I've never seen our girl look so uncoordinated in her life."
Sam didn't even try to suppress the glow from her eyes as she rounded back on their very annoying friend and glared. "Another word and I will throw you through this window!"
"Yeah, yeah, sure you will!"
Danny stuck his hand out and flicked Tucker's cheek. "So, we going to class or what? Bell's about to ring and if I get one more tardy this week, Lancer said I'll owe him a Saturday detention."
Sam steeled herself, looking across the street at her biggest adversary this year: the school. "Fine, let's go."
****
Somehow, Sam prevailed through homeroom without falling through her chair. Although, her new ghost core had certainly threatened to send her ass not just through her chair, but into the goddamn floor multiple times.
She had also managed to weather their English written check-in on the assigned book they were reading. Or, the book that some of them had been reading. Sam, of course, was one of the people who had legitimately read it. Persepolis was an easy read, after all, with it being a graphic novel and all. And besides, Sam could never call herself a feminist if she neglected to read the stories of women from other parts of the world.
On the other hand, Sam was pretty sure that both Danny and Tucker had thoroughly failed the open response question, even with her giving a verbal synopsis of the book before class had started.
"Wait, who's Ebi?" Tucker had asked.
Sam wanted to throttle him. "He's Marji's father!"
"Who's Marji?" Danny asked.
"The main character, Danny. "
Yeah, they'd definitely failed the check-in.
But since the class had finished early, they had the rest of the period to chat. Or, in Sam's case, sit there trying to stay visible and in her chair.
"You have too much energy," Danny explained, looking thoroughly too unconcerned for their current predicament as he doodled spirals in the margins of his notebook. "You just need to burn it off."
"How the hell am I supposed to do that?" Sam asked. "We're in fucking school!"
"You can do it after school."
"Wow, gee, you're so helpful. I'm so glad you told me this at the beginning of the school day instead of, you know, texting me or something before school!"
"I forgot," Danny said, waving his hand as if to shoo her away.
"You're useless is what you are."
And he truly was. For as long as Danny had ghost powers, Sam realized that he didn't actually understand them to a shocking degree. Well, he was a boy after all, and boys could be a bit dense. Then again, there was a bit dense and then there was Danny, who seemed like such an airhead at times, that Sam was concerned that all those ghost fights had knocked all his brains from his skull.
"You'll figure it out," is what Danny said.
Sam did not win the fight to resist throwing her pencil at him.
Mr. Lancer, who seemed to have a knack for turning his head to see the exact moment when a student was breaking a rule, tilted his head in an expression that plainly read: are you fucking serious?
"Sorry!" Sam called. "Danny was being annoying!"
"When isn't Fentwerp being annoying?" Dash snickered.
Danny glared at Dash. "I'll stop being annoying if you take this pencil and shove it up your—"
"Boys!" Lancer's voice boomed through the classroom. "It's too early for this. Stop."
Dash grumbled something under his breath but otherwise turned back to his conversation with Kwan.
"And Ms. Manson," Lancer added, his expression rotating to its previous exasperation, "please don't throw pencils in my classroom."
"Fine, sorry," Sam said without conviction.
Apparently, though, that was enough for Mr. Lancer, who seemed content to return his attention down to the stack of papers and the red pen in his fingers.
"You are annoying me, you know," Sam told Danny. "Seriously, you haven't given me one bit of useful advice this entire day."
"Yeah, well, I don't know. I'm not a god, you know." Then he paused his doodling, chuckling to himself. "I'm not Clockwork."
"Clockwork, oh gracious god of time!" Tucker raised his hands up to the ceiling. "If you can hear us, please do grace us with your presence so Miss Sammykins can not eat shit on the floor! Even if from a purely objective standpoint that would be incredibly funny!"
"No it would not be!" Sam hissed.
Danny glanced up. "He's not gonna come for this, you know. He wouldn't even show up when Vlad had kidnapped me in his basement that one time."
Sam and Tucker rounded on him, simultaneously crying, "He did what?"
Once again, Danny looked far too unconcerned. "Oh yeah, he was trying to get my mid-morph DNA. Did I not tell you about that? The loser was using it for his stupid clone project. Seriously, he's such a creep."
"Oh, so that's how Danielle got stabilized? Vlad stole your mid-morph DNA after he kidnapped you?" Tucker asked.
"Yup."
Sam realized her mouth was gaping like a fish, and she forced her jaw back together. "Your life is so fucked up, you know that?"
Danny just continued doodling in his notebook. "Yeah, well, now you have my core so...good luck!"
If luck was what she needed, then she was about to cast every Wiccan spell she knew to get it.
Fortunately, she managed to stay mostly intact through the rest of the period. Though, her legs did flicker in and out of visibility a few times. They were under her desk, so no one could see. But for good measure, she stole Tucker's jacket to cover her lap like a blanket, much to his protest.
A blunt "you'll live" was just about all the sympathy that he'd gotten from Sam.
As the day droned on, Sam began to get used to the core in her chest. It was a constant cold presence that seemed to send chill gusts anytime it was looking to cause mayhem in the form of intangibility or invisibility. And once she recognized the feeling of that cool energy balling up, she began learning how to brace herself for when it striked.
Of course, she wasn't successful in stopping all the cool gusts of energy. She was a novice, after all. But she was very proud of herself that she'd managed to begin teaching herself the first steps.
And also, very annoyed because that meant Danny's nails-on-chalkboard advice of "you'll figure it out" actually had some merit to it.
Not that she'd ever admit that to him. He and his advice could eat rocks for all she cared.
Point was, she had actually begun to get a grasp on whatever the hell was going on with her body. In the half hour before the lunch bell, she'd even started to hone her new abilities enough to make tiny ecto-ice crystals in the palm of her hand under her desk. She was at least partially certain that she could make these crystals on a bigger scale given the opportunity, but for some reason, she didn't think her teachers or the school administration would appreciate a seemingly-human student erecting giant crystals of unmeltable ice in the middle of their classrooms.
Though, their reactions would be very funny.
When the lunch bell rang, Sam was—for the first time—the first person out of the room, darting through the halls as if she'd personally been victimized by that biology class. Which, given the amount of worksheets that teacher loved to hand out, wasn't actually too far off from the truth.
Regardless, Sam was already halfway down the hall before she remembered to sling her spider backpack over both shoulders. She was the first to claim refuge in the trio's normally near-empty table, and given her boys seemed to be really taking their time today, to refrain from squirming in her seat like a toddler, she hid one hand in her lap and willed an ice crystal to her fist. This time, she was testing to see if she could make a simple shape with it. A flat disc, she decided.
The crystal that formed wasn't exactly the smooth, flat disc she'd been envisioning. It was a bit rough, and it wasn't that thin either. But it wasn't like the round, perl-like ecto-ice that she'd willed to existence on a previous attempt. This one was different, and different meant that she was improving.
"You surviving?" a voice called over her shoulder.
She startled, getting so consumed by the ecto-ice, that she forgot that she'd been waiting for her friends to arrive.
"Barely, but I'm doing it," she responded to Tucker, who'd practically fallen into his normal lunch seat.
"Well, that makes one of us. I thought Mr. Falluca was actually trying to murder us with the amount of homework he assigned."
"Tuck, he gave time in class to do it."
"And I clearly didn't work on it during class. That's what I have you for!" He leaned forward and pressed his fingers into a prayer. "I have you here to lend me your answers!"
Sam frowned. "And what are you offering in return?"
"A free hug?"
"Yeah, I don't think so"
"I know, I was just messing with you." Tucker grinned. "How about the bio homework?"
Sam tapped her chin, pretending to think about it. "Well, well, well, Mr. Foley. You've got yourself a deal." She stuck her hand out, and Tucker was quick to grasp her palm and shake her one hand with his two in an exaggerated motion.
"Thanks, Sam! You're the best."
"Well," Sam said, taking her hand back. "Don't thank me yet. You still have to do the bio homework. Knowing that class, that could be a whole thing."
"It's fine. Bio homework is usually fast for me."
"We're talking about Bio?" Danny asked, placing his lunch tray down and taking his seat across the table.
Sam looked over, brightening. "Oh hey, Danny! Yeah, we are. Unfortunately."
Danny suddenly looked like he wanted to throw up. "Ugh, hate that class."
"Don't we all?" Tucker lamented
"I don't even know what we're learning right now," Danny said
"I don't think anyone knows," Tucker said.
"And you're doing my homework for me?" Sam asked as Tucker shoveled a bite of food into his mouth.
He chewed for a moment as if to be polite, and then decided to abandon that idea and talk with a full mouth instead. "Don't worry, I'll figure it out. I always do!"
"Gross," Sam scoffed. "I don't need to see your gory, spit-covered meat disaster."
"The school's gory, spit-covered meat disaster, actually." Tucker gestured to his lunch tray.
"That doesn't make it any better."
"Guys," Danny interrupted, his face contorting into that exasperated expression it always did when she and Tucker started fighting about food. "Seriously? If you two get into this, Sam's eyes are gonna turn green again."
Sam squeezed the edges of the ecto-ice in her palms, anticipation clawing at her skin. "Actually, I've made some progress with it."
Danny perked up. "With figuring out how to switch things back to normal?"
"No. Better! I've starting figuring out how these powers work." Sam presented her palm to the two boys, the misshapen ice-disc proudly on display.
It took Sam a moment too late to realize that she probably looked like a toddler presenting their scribbled drawing to their parents that could be either a human or a cat depending on which angle the parent was looking at the scribbles from.
And she could see in their faces that this was exactly how Tucker and Danny were taking it. From Danny, a police nod at her lump of ice, and from Tucker, a squint through his glasses and a look that said, "huh?"
"The ice," Sam explained. "I've started to figure out how to shape and size it."
"Oh, that makes a lot more sense," Danny said, clearly relieved.
"Yeah, I thought all that ectoenergy managed to loosen a few screws, if you know what I'm saying." Tucker circled his pointer finger around the size of his head in the universal crazy gesture. "But, uh, congrats?"
"That awesome, Sam! Jeez, you're picking this up fast. It took me weeks before I figured out how to not turn the entire room into a blizzard whenever I turned the powers on."
"If it makes you feel better, I'm just copying you." Sam shrugged, placing the ice on the table. She stabbed her lettuce with her fork and held it in the air for a moment, amusement seeping into her at Danny who scooped the ice up like a dog being given a new squeaky toy for its birthday.
He turned it around in his fingers, inspecting every scratch in the ice. "Hey, this is actually pretty good. It takes a while to get the hang of it. You really have to be specific on how you picture the item. Well, at first anyway. Over time, it gets a lot easier. But when I was first starting out, I had to clear my brain out before I made anything."
"Clearing your brain out? That shouldn't be too hard for you. There's nothing there to begin with."
Danny shot Tucker a glare. "Very funny."
"Thank you, thank you. I'll be here all night."
Sam ignored him. "I just need to practice." She shivered, and intangibility threatened to send her crashing to the ground. It took all her might to stave it off. "And, I need to burn this energy off. Hey, can you show me how right after school? Since we have no idea how long we'll be switched like this and all."
"Yeah, sure," Danny said.
Sam straightened, and began eating her salad with newfound vigor. She was going to burn the energy off regardless, but having someone there to coach her and help her control it would be immensely helpful.
All she had to do was make it through the rest of her school day.

OK, SO, Part 1 is linked right here if y'all wanna read it, hope you enjoy part 2!!!
Part 2: Massages
"Do you need a massage?"
Satoru was a bit startled at your words at first before turning towards you, a cocky smirk on his glossy lips.
"Aw, is that all you wanna give me?" He teased, snickering when he saw your face flush a bit.
You rolled your eyes, exasperated as you leaned against the kitchen island next to him. "Haha, very funny, Satoru. No, I just noticed that your shoulders seem quite tense."
A smug grin made its way onto his face, a chuckle leaving his lips as he leaned closer towards you. "So you've been watching me very closely?"
"I'm simply offering a masaage!" You say defensively, feeling a little flustered by his teasing. "Cuz we're friends. And it really seems like you need one. I mean, you're always working hard and I figured that even though I'm a non-sorcerer, I could at least give you one to help you out."
What you said was actually very thoughtful and took Satoru a little by surprise. Of course, he didn't show this, instead a lazy grin on his lips as he turned around, his back facing you now.
"Fine, fine. Just work your magic, darling." He said, voice as smooth as butter.
You ignored the way your heart did a little staccato when he called you 'darling', merely reaching your hands up to his shoulders and starting your work. Your eyes widened a bit at the feel of his muscular back when your palms pressed against the flesh under his jacket in slow circles. Satoru most definitely had a sleeper build.
"Damn, do you work out a lot?" You muttered, slowly making your hands go up and down his back.
"Obviously I do, honey." He said sarcastically, his eyes fluttering closed behind the black blindfold, relishing in your touch. "If I didn't, then I'd be a horrible sorcerer. Working out is important."
"Uhuh, totally. I definitely believe you." You said, clearly not believing him.
Satoru had to resist the urge to straight up purr as you massaged his back like you did when you had touched his undercut the other day, enjoying the way your hands were relieving knots of tension that he didn't even know he had in his shoulders until now.
"Mmm... That's nice, that feels real nice." He muttered, voice dropping an octave, making your heart skip like crazy. "Are you sure you're not a chiropractor, cuz you're real good at this."
You chuckled, slowly pressing your fingertips now just at the small of his back before slowly working your way up. "Yeah, no, I'm definitely not a chiropractor. I just learned how to give decent massages from my friends."
"Well tell your friends I thank them cuz this is certainly an experience." He said absently, voice quiet in a way that had you feeling a tiny bit flustered.
You brushed off the feeling, merely chalking it up to you just easily getting caught off guard around him.
"Why thank them when I'm the one giving you a massage." You said, pouting as you stopped just below his shoulder blades. "And for free! I should be getting paid for this."
"Nah, come on darling, you love me too much for that." Satoru teased, turning his head back to look at you, despite the blindfold being on. "I can make it up to you this time by taking you to that restaurant you like. How's that sound?"
It must've been your imagination because you swore you had made eye contact with him even through the blindfold, feeling an odd sort of tension with him. You looked away, focusing on continuing to give him the massage. Yeah, you definitely needed more sleep. You were just overthinking things.
"That sounds good. You'll be paying, obviously." You said, a soft smile on your face.
"Of course, darling. You know your dear friend here's very rich. I'll buy you whatever you want off the menu if you continue giving me these heavenly massages."

Farmer’s Market Crush
Aaron Hotchner x Reader
warning: self indulgent fluff, can he please be my farmers market crush???, the reader has curly hair and is southern, the hair detail can be skipped over its not that important, his smile so pretty <33
She stood at her booth when she spotted him, in front of her was a variety of jams. From blackberry to peach all fresh and homemade. They were in adorable little glass jars that looked professional almost. “Can I help you with anything?”
Hotch hadn’t noticed her until she spoke his eyes focusing on her. He was a bit startled as he seemed to be gathering his thoughts.
She stood with a smile on her face as she looked at Hotch. “I’m sorry did I startle you? I apologize if I did…you just looked as if your mind was somewhere else!” She said sweetly.
Hotch had to stop himself from smiling at the question she just asked, he was most definitely zoned out at that point. That was until he heard that voice, so adorable and sweet sounding, with just the right amount of twang in it, it took all of his concentration to stay focused.
When she had asked if she startled him, Hotch simply shook his head, “No…no you’re fine… I apologize. It was….”
What should he say? He didn’t wanna tell her he had zoned out when he noticed her behind her booth.
She laughed softly as she shook her head, “don’t worry we all zone out sometimes..” she said in a understanding manner.
She was still smiling at him as if it was permanently etched onto her face. She found him handsome and truth be told she was staring at him for a bit before she finally spoke up.
Hotch cleared his throat not sure what else to say, he then saw her looking at him. Her sweet smile making her look sweeter than she did at first. Yet something about her…something about her was familiar. He knew what she looked like but it was also a certain way she carried herself…and that accent…that southern belle twang that made him almost melt in her presence.
Hotch finally remembered where he had seen her before. But she beat him to the punch when she spoke again.
“You look familiar,” she said tilting her head causing her curls to drape over her shoulder. She leans forward a little over her booth, “you’re with the BAU right? I think I spoke with you before at that little coffee house on Main Street..” she finally said.
That was it, he remembered her from that coffee shop. And in the back of his mind he had thought it was because she was involved in a recent case. He couldn’t explain just how happy that fact made him. And her accent only made his smile grow.
He looked over at her and nodded, “Yes…yes I am.”
Her accent making even the simplest sentences feel like love songs in his ears. “Your name is Y/N right?” His voice was soft and calm like a cool breeze on a summer’s night.
“Yeah Y/N!” She said with enthusiasm as she nodded her head at him. She knew he looked familiar as she had remembered hearing that voice before. Along with that face that seemed to hold just the right amount of endearment and warmth.
He nodded his head before he looked over at her booth, now noticing the sign that read “fresh jams, homemade. By: Y/N” and adorable little jars of jam. “You make these?”
“Yeah it’s a hobby, I make other things too! I make my own breads and even pecan pralines I like to think I make ‘em the best.” She boosted slightly. “I have all kinds of jams today…I hadn’t had the time to make breads in about a week.”
He listened intently as he examined her booth, seeing her homemade jams and baked goods was truly astonishing to him.
“You make bread?” Hotch’s voice was soft still as he thought back to one moment in his past.
“What type of bread?”
“I make French loafs, sweet breads, multigrain, whole wheat bread, honey wheat bread, sourdough, rye! I started making brioche that’s my favorite one!” She tells him with a smile.
His heart raced when he heard this. French loaf, sweet breads, honey wheat bread and homemade brioche…was this some sort of gift from above?
As he watched the gentle breeze blow her curls around her face he spoke up again. “You know, you make the same bread as my mother did when I was growing up.”
“Really? Does she still make bread?” She asked with interest. She found the idea of someone older making bread amazing. In her small neighborhood not many did or showed interest to continue.
He looked over at her. His eyes looked as if they had a glimmer of sadness to them. “Unfortunately she…has passed away.”
“I’m sorry for your loss,” she said with a compassionate smile on her face. She had genuine sympathy in her E/C eyes as she spoke.
Hotch looked away for a moment, he didn’t want this woman to feel bad for him, he had come here to see the market. “What do you recommend?” He asked softly, looking over at her.
She took the hint as she looked back at him, “from any booth?” She asked. She knew each booth pretty well so recommendations came easy to her.
He truly appreciated how kind she was, just like his mother used to be. He then nodded his head once more “yeah, any booth. Since you work here you’d probably know the best recommendation, right?” he smiled again.
She points around, “if you’re into fresh produce Mr. Cook’s booth is perfect he spends his time with the vegetables he grows. He also sells them for dirt cheap because he just enjoys doing it! Oh and Mable the little old lady over there makes the best macarons! She has this hazelnut praline one that’s so good! But if you lack a sweet tooth and like savory…Henry the tall fella over there he has the best homemade chips. He mixes them with different things, I’ve never had honey chips before until I tried his.” She rambled with a smile.
Hotch was amazed at how sweet and adorable she sounded. Her voice was comforting in a way. When she was finished talking Hotch nodded in response, “okay. I think I’ll have to try out a sample of your home made jams. I also think I’ll go try out the honey chips too.”
His voice was calm, and his smile was warm. It was as if he was looking at the girl of his dreams. But maybe he was just being a bit overly dramatic.
She grins, “tell me what’s your favorite jam?” She said as she looked at him. There was subtle kindness in her eyes as she spoke to him.
He looked back at her, “blackberry is my favorite.” He wasn’t so sure why he was so flustered, “what’s your favorite jam, Y/N?”
His name sounded lovely whenever said with the southern accent and his heart raced even more with the look in her eyes. It was a genuine look, not of judgment or pretend, there was only sweetness and playfulness. Something about her made him nervous yet excited.
Y/N looks through her jams before picking up the blackberry one. She thinks for a moment, “mine would be apple jam…on a piece of toast it tastes like apple pie. It’s so good especially if you use honey crisp or cosmic apples..” she says.
She holds out the blackberry jam, “this one is on the house…call it a getting to know you gift.” She tells him.
He watches as she picks up the blackberry jam, his eyes gazing at her for what feels like forever for him “you sure? I can pay for it of course, you work very hard for this I can’t imagine you’d be giving this up for free.”
Hotch was almost too mesmerized by her beauty to speak at this point he was still flustered and nervous. The feeling of her kindness and charm was making him feel as if he was floating and in a dream.
Y/N waved her hand dismissively, “don’t worry about it…usually Mable comes through here and pretty much buys me out for the holiday seasons.” She reassured him.
Hotch was still worried but at least he knew she wouldn’t be losing money if he took that blackberry jam. “If you say so…thank you Y/N.”
Hotch then looked around the market. He hadn’t yet noticed Derek and Penelope standing watching the scene unfold.
“You’re always welcome Aaron..” she said in a soft tone. She noticed the onlookers before letting out a small laugh. “Hey…I think we should get to know each other better..” she started. “If you want to that is..”
Hotch felt the world go still and quiet. Her words felt like honey dripping from her sweet lips. Her accent made his stomach grow with butterflies and warmth and her sweet tone was like the lullaby he had been needing to hear.
“I…I would like that.” He spoke firmly. But his voice had more confidence now as he couldn’t stop gazing at her.
Derek then taps Hotch on the shoulder, “come on Hotch, let’s not hog this lovely ladies time.”
She watched as Hotch was lead away by his friend as she waved goodbye. As Hotch was walking away while being pestered by Penelope and Derek for answers he turned the jar in his hand. His eyes widening for a second as he noticed the number on the back of the jam label.
***-***-****, we should get to know each other more <3

why is it an important point that alan is very light sensitive and prone to migranes? other than being a disability rep for those of us who cannot function in broad daylight without sunglasses and explaining why the bright lights in aw1 are such a pain to look at (from alan's point of view) but like. it's important.
we see it in the flashback with alice where alan is hangover and seemingly has his sunglasses next to his bed already - a little weird right? and alice mentions them as well - because this is common. because he often needs them. frankly speaking from experience you don't get to the point where the sunglasses become a mandatory bedside fixture unless it's a really bad day often - which must be the case here. we also see then in 'herald of darkness' where "Dark shades could never save the day" and we see alan in shades. it's common for him. he does it often. mood! anyway mr champion of light being sensitive to light is just a funny coincidence right? wrong.
I also suspect that alan's tendency towards full outfits is also a part of this. no sane human wears that many layers in september, and alan specifically covers pretty much all the skin possible without looking weird. also a lot of his article shots in rose'.... shrine have sunglasses and thick layers as well. this man is SENSITIVE sensitive to light and that's a coincidence I can't ignore in the remedy!verse.
alan was born (as stated in aw2) in 1977 - we don't know when, or where as he moved to new york later. his mother spent most of his childhood in psychiatric facilities, and his father is not only non existent but highly suspiously fictional (the only object we are told alan has of him is the clicker. the fucking clicker. tom zane's clicker that was definitely written into alan's life before he was born and was not a gift from his father proper. frankly we know the least about alan's childhood compared to all other remedy!verse protags - not knowing where or truly when he was born is important because it leaves options.
Light sensitive could be a coincidence - but we thought that about the nightmares too, and they turned out to be important clues. and hell- *Scratch* is less sensitive to light than Alan is - only flashbangs and the super steong hand flares make him flinch, direct light seems fine unless super powered and normal flares are nothing. alan actively gets headaches from these things and obviously it hurts him. wtf is up with that? when the protection of the dark presence patches up your weakness you have a issue.
theory time:
we know alan is tied to this god damn lake. zane wrote it so - at very least alan was destined to fall in it at the end of aw1. but what if there is more? we also know that alan's darkness became at least the aw2 dark presence which. fine? an endless cycle of destroying yourself while under the impression that that's not yourself. we don't know if the dark presence in aw1 is also this same one, and if it isn't we now know there can be multiple dark entites (implied by Mr Scratch also). if it is then damn alan has issues.
I don't know if its just me but the fact that the small darkness within someone can be escalated out to being the whole larger dark presence at full power feels... off. that feels like it doesn't work with what we know of the entities- unless there was more darkness in alan then originally suspected fueling this presence. the strength of the dark presence born from him combined with the strength of his light sensitivity makes me very suspicious to how human he was originally, and how much of alan is just lake bullshit. if he was a creature or creation of the darkness forced into a human body (perhaps the 1976 awe the andersons fought back in brightfalls wasn't all it seemed. maybe the dark presence or something else was looking for a crack to escape through. maybe it succeeded, but was reborn as a human who was already showing signs at a young age of being light sensitive and also being a parautiltiarian, and a strong one at that.
maybe there was never a father because there was never a mother - linda wake may have found a child on the lake shore and adopted it as her own, not knowing the truth behind its origins. maybe the torchbearers who operated in brightfalls around that time were involved. maybe the reason alan and tom look identical is the dark entity needed human dna when being reborn as a human and zane was there at the right time. could be why other traits are shared, and zane foresaw and influenced the creation of the dark place to get what he wanted (after all it was borrowing from him his face and personality - at very least it could give him wiggle room to escape?)
alan always had... issues. darkness. a lot for a man. so what if its all supernatural bullshit? no one is looking too closely because there is supernatural stuff going on. I'm not sure this man is human, or at least his soul isn't and never was. some darkness wearing a human skin maybe, sensitive to the light but forced to manage it. I don't know, maybe I'm looking too much into this.
#im sorry something is fucking up with how alan was born and i refuse it ignore it any longer#alan wake#alan wake 2#remedy games#remedy connected universe#theories#aw theory

oscar/mark, a/b/o dynamics
“You’re not being rational about this,” Oscar says, and he sounds surprised, as if he had fully expected Mark to roll over and acquiesce.
In all the time Mark has known Oscar, he can count on one hand the instances in which they’ve butt heads. Most often they rub up against each other with mild annoyances, Hey, answer your phone quicker, this was important, easily solvable things. But this galls.
It isn’t about the offer. Not even that it’d cross every professional boundary in existence, and then throw the whole rulebook into the ocean too. But that Oscar thinks it’s the rational thing to do. Cut and dry, as cold and as clinical as you like.
Oscar’s looking at Mark as if he were a puzzle he can’t figure out. Mark swallows down the fully formed retort on his tongue, Hey, buddy, I don’t know if you’ve noticed in your twenty-something or so years living on earth, but heats aren’t exactly rational—
But that’d just sound petty. And Oscar would just blink at him in that way of his anyway, that way that meant, Why are you so upset?
Mark isn’t in the mood to explain. Definitely not in the mood to explain to someone more than half his age why he doesn’t think it would be a good idea to spend his impending heat together.
“No thank you, Oscar,” he says again.
“But.” Oscar frowns. “I’m right here.”
He isn’t posturing, that much Mark knows, as sure as he is that Oscar would rather roll his eyes than click an extra button to complain on the radio. There are no hidden layers when Oscar speaks, Mark likes that about him. And it isn’t arrogance either. He’s just being frustratingly, infuriatingly, irritatingly, rational.
So Mark has no reason being angry.
“All the same,” he says, as neutrally as he can manage, “I’d rather spend it alone.”
There’s a small, selfish lick of satisfaction at the whipcrack ripple of emotion it causes in Oscar’s expression, which then makes him feel like a giant asshole. But whatever.
Heats. Rational. Sure.
--
When did we get so old, huh, he said the last time Seb visited, and they had ended up mostly napping like two lazy cats in the sun. On a regular schedule the suppressants work fine, throw in jet-lag into the mix and they see fit to wreak havoc on his body. Migraines and loss of appetite, and the doctor had advised to just lay off during the race calendar.
Which, alright, can be done, except there’re three out of four of the yearly heats that would possibly land on a race weekend.
He detests arranging for services during a race, and spending heats alone is no longer the end of the world it once was. Uncomfortable, certainly, but much less now than when he was younger. The good thing about growing old is that you learn some tricks. You listen to your body and its needs, except when it’s fucking whinging for an alpha who’s absolutely out-of-bounds.
Saturday morning has his temperature surging, and he knows making Qualifying is out of the question. He texts Oscar a perfunctory, Good luck, make us proud, and goes to hunker down in the hotel room.
He’s prepared. The mini-fridge’s stocked, and he’s brought an assortment of toys to deal with the gnawing emptiness. It’s routine at this point. Moan and snarl and curse his existence, grow lucid enough to switch the telly on while stroking his cock and fucking himself with a toy, then back to curling into the tiniest, tightest ball in a mass of blankets, all the while sweating and blurting out half his body weight in fluids. Heave himself up to eat a sandwich. Check on Oscar’s times. Dry-heave a little while texting him congratulations. Go back to bed. Rinse, repeat.
The one bone, the one benefit of having regular heats, is that they don’t last long. By evening, Mark’s body has settled into some not-yet-post-heat-but-getting-there state. His dick is still hard, but at least he doesn’t feel the need to give himself rug-burn by tugging at it every five minutes.
Convenient, because the door-bell rings.
“Fucking hell,” Mark says, unimpressed. “What are you doing here?”
He thought he’d made himself exceptionally clear. But Oscar’s here, looking about as far from usual Oscar as Mark’s possibly seen him. Anxious, disheveled, toe-tapping nervous nonsense. Eyes-shifty, red-cheeked. Impossibly endearing.
“I have had a lot of time to think about this,” Oscar says, which in Oscar-speech means he stared into the abyss for a couple of hours thinking about nothing else. “It occurs to me that I’ve been horribly remiss.”
“You talk like an old man,” Mark says.
“I’m trying to apologize,” Oscar says, agitated. “I didn’t mean to. Offer so flippantly. As if your heat has no significance.”
There is no significance, is Mark’s knee-jerk response, but even he can see it for the lie it is.
“I… was hurtful without meaning to be. I’m sorry, Mark.”
Mark nods stiffly. He might be out of deep waters, but the ache of loneliness takes some time to dispel. Best to close the door in Oscar’s face soon before his body gets any stupid ideas. “Apology accepted,” he says.
Oscar opens his mouth. “That’s not all.”
Of course it isn’t. Oscar smells like pine and those godawful expensive vanilla candles and this is just not a very good time. “Go on,” Mark says, through gritted teeth.
“I wasn’t being truthful earlier.”
Mark blinks. “About?”
“Rationality,” Oscar says, and suddenly it’s as if he hates the word. “That was never why I offered. I thought. I thought it’d be the only reason you’d accept. If I could make you see it as something easy. You’re here, I’m here, you know? Might as well.”
“Oscar,” Mark says faintly.
“Mark,” Oscar retorts. “You get what I’m saying, right? I offered because I want to. You know. Be the alpha in your heat. Christ. Is that how people go about saying it? I don’t fucking know, mate. I just want to help you, like you’ve helped me.”
Oscar sounds as if he’s practiced this in front of the mirror. Practiced it and then gone and fucked it all up anyway, because his ears are bright red and he’s looking as if he wants the tiled hotel floor to swallow him up. He’s staring at the ground, or, quite possibly, at the line of Mark’s erection through his sweatpants.
“Mark. Could you say something please?”
“I don’t think—”
“That it’s a good idea, yeah, I got that earlier. Could I hear something honest, please?”
Oscar’s never once asked Mark for anything. Sure, manager duties aside, Mark busting an arm and a leg to pave the way for a certain career aside, Oscar’s never once asked Mark for more. And now he’s asking, heart on his sleeve, and Mark’s too worn down to say anything but—
“It’d be nice.”
Oscar whips his head up. All hopeful, like a pup promised a treat. “I—what—really?”
“Nice, and completely irresponsible of me.”
“Okay,” Oscar’s saying, and already he’s leaning in toward Mark, shuffling eagerly forward such that he’s breached the doorway. “Okay, but. It’d still be nice, right?”
"Yeah," Mark sighs. “Yes.”
Oscar takes one more step forward. Something clicks in the right direction when he places one hand on Mark’s jaw, and the other on his hip. A lock being turned in place, a scale being tipped. Something like that.
Quick on the uptake, never slow to see his moment of win, greedy, hungry, opportunistic. All traits of a good Formula 1 driver. That’s his boy.
Mark closes his eyes. Regret can come tomorrow, after the race. He pulls the door shut behind them.

I never imagined I’d be here as my plans had always happened in Selva. That was home, after all, any any place else was far far away. Locations more meant to be visited and vacationed but never stationed.
I wasn’t even sure what I’d be doing in Selva but I was sure I’d be there. Moving across the border to a new country had never been in the cards and had never been the plan but as I’ve learned all throughout my short life plans are always in motion and if you aren’t ready to adjust life will quickly leave you behind. Change is something you simply have to expect.
I grab a seat on a sun touched bench and take a sip of of orange juice as I look around the park.
I’ve not been here long, not even a full day, but I’ve been here long enough to see that there wouldn’t be too much culture shock. Oasis Springs might not be on the border between Selva and Simerica but its close enough to be a city intertwined with enough culture from home to feel familiar but never familiar enough to be home.
That was fine. No, that was good. I needed change to be honest, not a lot, but just enough to make my own way in life and why not here? There were a few more opportunities here for me and in my case ditching a bit of my past is definitely a good thing.
I push out a breath and wipe a bead of sweat from my forehead, realizing that the sun has much more of a presence here than in Selva which is saying a lot and it is the dry kind of heat that a person can never get used to.
But I will. I’m not one to mind a bit of heat after all.
I wasn’t alone at the park although I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case. There was a woman there sitting alone playing chess and so I pulled out the opposite seat and made my challenge clear by moving a pawn. She accepted by moving hers.
I'm not good at the game, to be honest, as I've rarely played but I do think I put up a good fight before she eventually bests me. Not much was said between us as we played which was for the better because Simlish is my second language and I speak with an accent but she was kind enough to introduce herself, after winning, of course.
"Josefina, by the way," she says with a confident smirk. "Have a wonderful day!"
"You too..." I mumble, staring down at the board and wondering how I lost.
I might have lost at chess but I’m definitely not a loser when it comes to life. Thanks to my father (the less said about him the better) I was able to afford this small but kinda luxurious house? As you can see it's not very spacious but it does have a nice little pool area out back which should help with the Oasis summers and it has a big enough kitchen which is really all that matters when it comes to me.
I feel like a kitchen is the heart of the house and I would make sure that mines is beating strong and happy. It’s where life and love are nourished and I’ll be sure to add my own joy and flavor to mines.
But...I do have a confession to make. I’m a novice. I’m a noob. At least when it comes to cooking. It’s not for a lack of passion, you know, life has been hectic and I’ve never had a chance to settle down and focus on my own dreams but now that I do I’ll make up for any lack of experience with pure enthusiasm and drive!
Cooking will be very important to me seeing as its how I plan to make my simoleons and the first couple of dishes will be Frida’s homemade tortillas and waffles. The tortillas are something cheap I can make that I hopefully can sell in abundance and the waffles are, well, waffles. Who doesn’t love waffles?
All that cooking just so I can stand outside in front of my house on a somewhat hot day and yell "Tortillas y Waffles!" at anyone passing by.
Unfortunately, most....okay, all of them ignored me. Passing me by and only stopping to stare if I were some odd curiosity. That's right, I didn't sell a single plate and and if anything was met with some hostility? It felt that way to me, at least.
In fact, one of them, some old man with stupid little glasses glared at my offerings and simply said "Ewww..." shaking his head and moving right along.
So. This might be harder than I thought.
And so I stood there, watching people walk right past me and my stand as if I were some bush that had always been here. Offering at most a glance and making me regret it all.
Oasis Springs might be hot but it was only a spring day and it wasn’t nearly hot enough to prevent my offerings from going cold. Just as I’m ready to close my stand and write off today as a failure one customer approaches that makes it all worth it.
A tall man with dark hair and fetching eyes who walks confidently right up to my stand and seems to seriously consider what's before him. “Waffles and tortillas huh?” he asks, the very tone of his voice making my heart skip a beat.
“I chuss gettin’ started,” I say too quickly and too forcefully, already defending food that he hasn’t tried and revealing my accented simlish that puts either an adoring or mocking smile on his face. Hard to tell.
He reaches into his pocket and pulls out his wallet, slipping four measly simoleons on the table. “I’ll take the waffles to go,” and he does just that, walking off without another word but I swear (or maybe I’m hopefully imagining it) that his eyes linger on me before he leaves me a little breathless and oh so very curious.
ELSEWHERE IN SAN MYSHUNO...
"What are these?" Ray asked in a challenging tone, looking down at the food on display a little comically but moving out of the way so that his cameraman and audience could also see what he was seeing.
"These, sir, are empanadas," the woman replied dryly. Revealing to him that perhaps she wasn't here entirely by choice. She was just a woman hired to hand out the food, that's it. Ray knew the type, after all, he was a man that reviewed local food for a living and he could always tell when a server was there just to collect simoleons.
"Alright then...give me a few of those then."
The woman lazily smacked a paper plate on the stand for him and moved him along.
He went back to his table and started to quietly eat. Every now and then he'd go "Mmmmm," or "Ahhh" giving his viewers something to react t other than him smacking his lips. He was a performer in the end, people watched his channel not for the food, but for him and the more he dragged his audience along with every bite the more views he expected to get.
He finished quickly, knowing that in his line of work people didn’t like watching anything for too long. He always had to wolf down his meal knowing that him sitting there and chewing food was bad content. "How was it?" his cameraman asked. A friend of his and always, to his viewers, just a voice.
As usual he'd look to the camera, smile, and deliver his judgement. "Complete trash," he said with a hint of delight. Nothing got more clicks than a little negativity after all. "Greasy, doughy, and taste like processed garbage. Rubbery cheese and far too chewy. Just trash. It wouldn't even be morally right to ask the woman to try the food she serves..."
This was all an exaggeration of course. It wasn’t that bad but again, this was entertainment, and drama always sells...

do u have any Banjo thoughts? there’s something about the look he had on his face right before he jumped off that bridge. The possibilities of his freakdom r endless me thinks.
about banjo….
banjo is definitely one of the characters in wdbr that i absolutely just want to sit and pick his brain. here’s a summary of my thoughts hc style! i’m on chapter 133!
i’m almost certain he has has some deeply rooted trauma and issues he yet to accept and work through.
i definitely think he has mommy issues— but really it could have been any important adult in his life growing up. evidently, someone wasn’t there for him in a way that a child needs. his trauma his both mental and physical.
just the fact that physical pain equates to love in his head is enough to confirm that for me. banjo is a deeply troubled soul and really needs someone to rewire his mind. but i think his fight with hiragi was the start.
in a relationship, banjo is a yandere or something pretty close to it.. he doesn’t like competition or the possibility of a threat— the thought of someone else having you, stealing you away from him will make him genuinely murderous. but that’s a whole other thing to get into— i’ll have you all here all day.
his darling would absolutely be the light of his world and he’d care the most about what you think. i can see him asking if you like certain things about him— like if he gets a new shirt or maybe he tries a new hairstyle. he’s always asking for reassurance from you. even asking if you think his food order was a good idea or should he have gone with what you got. a simple: “you’re fine, baby. i think you made a good choice.” will ease any worry in his head.
there had to have been something about you to really strike him.. and not to get all killing stalking in here but.. maybe your looks reminded you of his mom— or someone very important to him. or maybe when he was still apart of bofurin, you were the first person to actually be nice to him in a way he has never experienced before and from then it only fueled his fire. a crush that turned into more of an unhealthy obsession.
when you’re mad at him, it feels like the end of the world to banjo. it will genuinely tweak out.. and beg. beg you to “fight” him because at least then he’ll be able to feel something. “hit me— hit me, please! i won’t hit you back—! just please do something!” while he’s clawing at his face.
in the bedroom, he’s naturally into sadomasochism. choking, slapping— biting until there’s blood drawn, its all his favorite. he’s begging for more when you’re riding him and your hands are clasping so snug around his neck that he’s turning red. he doesn’t know his limit and you often have to bring him back down to earth.
DONT SHOOT! but i do think someone more suited towards him is someone who is or can be a dominant in his life. i’ll even give leeway to a switch who leans sub, but unfortunately i can’t see him ending up with a true submissive.
he has a prince albert. i will not be getting into it.
a/n: this is a very messy outline of my thoughts and i really could get into a deep dive psycho analysis of this guy but for all of our sanities, i’ll keep it tame for now because it will get dark very FAST with kanon.
blurb requests are open! — 🛒
