I think the “Pliant Bones” theory is one of the stupidest theories I’ve heard in the fandom, so I tend not to give it much thought/attention. With the recent random article (which was super unprofessional btw. That thing read like a really bad, personal tumblr blog post) and antis chomping at the bit to defend it and this gross theory, however, I thought I’d share my own opinion.

SJM solved Feysand’s and Nessian’s issues with having Illyrian babies in like…2 sentences at the very end of ACOSF. Two established couples that were either already having children or were talking about it. Which, you know, makes sense.

And she did this with ~MAGIC~

SJM also solved a language barrier during Crescent City in 2 sentences with ~MAGIC~ beans.

If Elain and Azriel having potential pregnancy issues in the future (if they even want kids) was that big of a deal, I guarantee you she would solve that “issue” with ~MAGIC~ too.

Since this is a fantasy series and all.

Who has had scenes in her books where female characters denounce being thought of as “chattel to be breed”

- is really going to “hint” that two characters can’t be together of potential pregnancy issues…

Not only do you not understand SJM as a writer, I fear you don’t understand most female feminist authors in general. Because the message that would send, not being able to be with someone simply because of fertility/biology….yeah, that’s not a good message.
