Appearance

Reid is a young man of average height and fair skin, with an athletic but slightly stocky build. He has dark, fluffy hair often kept a bit messy, brown eyes, and small hoop piercings in each ear (two on the left, one on the right).

Dorm Uniform

Reid wears the standard Octavinelle uniform. The uniform consists of a black double-breasted suit, a lavender-gray scarf, a button-up undershirt, black high-waisted dress pants, and white gloves; it includes a bow tie and black fedora, neither of which he is ever seen wearing.

His undershirt is light-purple, and the double-breasted suit has a purple underlining; Reid keeps it completely unbuttoned. His lavender-gray scarf usually drapes over both his shoulders and under the suit’s lapels, but he is sometimes seen with the scarf coiled many times around his neck and lower face. He wears black patent leather dress shoes.

Personality

Reid maintains a guarded disposition in general settings, often coming off indifferent or cold regarding school happenings. Despite this, he gets along with many of his fellow students; when actually in conversation or interacting with his friends, he becomes warmer and more animated, and thus is prone to being misunderstood by those he is not close with. He is also characterized by his sharp wit and fierce protection of those he is close to, including Epel, Ace, Ruggie, Floyd, and, to a slightly lesser degree, Jade and Azul.

Most students who interact with him come to understand his nature is kind and understanding; he simply reserves it for certain people. He often generously tips Trey for the desserts he commissions from him, and is known to have taken Epel under his wing during his disillusionment with being placed in Pomefiore at the beginning of his enrollment.

Signature Spell

“Let me return the favor.”

Reid’s signature spell is “Mirror Scale,” a defensive spell which reflects a single magical attack back toward the caster by refracting it through a translucent “scale” barrier.

Trivia

Reid’s merform is based on a white perch; his signature spell references the reflective, shiny quality of their scales.

Floyd’s nickname for him is simply “fishie.”

It’s implied that he hails from the Coral Sea like the rest of the main Octavinelle characters, but did not always live there. His family is very close with Azul’s.

He plays the position of point guard in the basketball club.

The dessert he most commonly commissions from Trey is cannoli.
