I had a random thought while looking at Mel’s marking and it kind of looks like an eye. Zel having a similar symbol + the DK’s symbol gave me the thought the the DK has a third eye. Plus with all demons having the purple/black eyes makes me think those are the eyes of their god. The same could be said with the SD and the goddess race. I think I could be a neat concept for expanding on the races. Any thoughts?
that is definitely interesting, but idk if the DKs eyes are really covered or if that's just supposed to be shadows to mark the DK as less of a real character and more of a concept. Like yeah, he's a character, but he's mostly just the "big bad villain" character than his own character, if you understand what I mean.
As for the demon symbol, the third eye symolism is definitely very interesting, though personally I've always viewed it as more of a black sun of sorts, because of how it flares out and since they gain a boost of power when using that one (and sun is the biggest celestial body in your galaxy/universe/sun system? idk, I'm not an astronomist)
And because Mel and Zel have two symbols, it could mean that there are two "stages" to their demon magic, with the "regular" symbol just meaning that they're using a small amount and the sun/eye symbol being closer to a full output of their magic, showing that they're being about as strong as they can be (without going indura).
Nakaba probably didn't think too much about this or if he did, then it's not in the manga, but the black eyes is likely a physical manifestation of specifically demon magic, much like the goddess symbol in a goddesses eyes is a manifestation of goddess magic. The giants and fairies don't seem to have that physical manifestation.
As for what exactly the symbol is, I think it's mostly hereditary, since Mel and Zels "lower stage" symbol is the same as the one on the DKs helmet, but since Nakaba never bothered to flesh the demon race and made them into a percival fanclub in the sequel (yes I'm still mad about that), it's just a theory for now^^"
It would definitely be a neat concept to expand the races with. Truth is though, it's always seemed to me that the DK and the SD are too separate from their respective races to really be part of them. I mean as far as we know, during the first holy war, they both just practically sat on their asses and let their commanders do all the work with the only instruction being "go kill the demons/goddesses". Plus, in the movie, the SD had the brainwashed puppets say "you ruined our game", so I'd say that's pretty strong evidence that the SD and DK didn't really care about the war anyway aside from it being some sort of entertainment for them in their immortal lives, and the SD wanted to get revenge on the Sins because now her playmate was gone. There's also the thing that the DK apparently ages, but the SD didn't? Idk.
With the races and the gods in general, it feels a lot like the concept is there, but the groundwork is only partially complete. Also I need to do something else now and I don't wanna banish this ask to the drafts bc then the likelyhood of me ever finishing and posting it drops drastically, so feel free to send me another ask if you want^^

Nobody going to questions why meliodas have pointy ears except some because theirs like a bunch of species already so pointy ears is the least of their problems.

Disaster is terrifying as Hell
I was bored so I looked through the wiki until I stumbled upon the Wiki for Disaster and as a person who adores the Fairy Clan to bits I know Disaster like the back of my hand but I like looking through it anyway and then... I realized something.
I realized just how lucky everyone is that the Fairies and The Fairy Kings specifically are not that battle driven, they just mind their own business for the most part and if trouble arises within the forest, The Fairy King is there to protect them.
I mean, look back at what Helbram did when he went crazy. Buddy, that's just Helbram, he's just a motivated fairy, he's not even a royal by any means. Imagine King popping off like that, it will be over for everyone.
Disaster, is the power of the Fairy Kings and as Merlin stated it is the power to control life and death itself. It's freaking terrifying, and it's definitely up there in terms of most dangerous and powerful magic in all of NNT/4KOTA and I do believe that the Spirit Spears are a close second to Excalibur when it comes to Weaponry.
King is absolutely nuts because of Chastiefol and Chastiefol is freaking insane because of Disaster and Disaster is a very fitting name because of how terrifying it is.
Tumblr media
I just gotta put the screencap so that its clear. This power is insane. King can do a whole bunch of crazy stuff with it he just chooses not to. Honestly, King can cut someone's arm off, behead them, bisect them if they just had a tiny scratch on them. He can do all kinds of unimaginable things but King is not that type of person so he dosen't but that dosen't erase the fact that he could do it within a blink of an eye.
Lemme add... The Demon King have the Ten Commandments, The Supreme Diety made the Four Graces given to the Four Archangels.
Then we have the Sacred Tree giving Disaster to one singular being per iteration and its not like something to be passed around cause all three Fairy Kings can use it even if they're existing in the same space plus they each receive their own Spirit Spears

For the wip folder ask game can we see Fairy Tail / Seven Deadly Sins: What it means to be (human) alive? That seems like a neat idea! Is it a full crossover with the different characters meeting or is it like Fairy Tail in the Seven Deadly Sins world or vice versa?
Hi! This is a slightly older wip but I still think about it often and wanna commit to it one day. It is a full crossover, so the characters of Fairy Tail meeting the Seven Deadly Sins cast. Specifically, they actually exist in the same world, except Britannia as a continent has been sealed off from the rest of the world due to some Old War Shenanigans, possibly Nemue style, and nobody ever bothered to fix it. (Am working out the kinks of that one.)
But essentially post Tartaros, when Natsu goes off on his training sad boi journey, except Lisanna comes with him to both be a friend and have her own sad boi hours, exceeeeept they get sucked into the demon realm for reasons and a group of outlaws figure out Natsu is a weird demon and poke him. (Details pending. There's a better plot in my head but I can't commit to everything yet.) Long story short, the plot truly kicks off when Zeldris (this is post NNT pre 4KOTA) intervenes and saves the trio, but only after they have been sufficiently hurt and traumatized, so the crew in Liones takes them in, and they later have to figure out how to get them home and stuff.
It's essentially a big Natsu angst fest because he finds out he's a demon with no context post-Tartaros but pre-Alverez. And nobody *actually* knows what the etherious deal is so everyone is guessing, especially Natsu. Also Lisanna is having isekai flashbacks. Fun times.
The scene I have actually written is some hurt/comfort bonding between Natsu and Elizabeth. (Also Natsu is temp-mute because of an injury :3)
Man, the queen was right though. The slow throat healing wasn’t what bothered him, even if it was hard. She was scary with how good she was at seeing through him. (Of course, everyone always told him he was obvious when he was thinking something, but he never saw it as a bad thing.) Natsu nodded miserably, unable to do anything else. He was never one to talk about his feelings anyway, because he let actions speak for himself, but now he couldn’t even if he wanted to. It really, really sucked. Elizabeth sighed, turning her gaze from the city to Natsu. She looked kinda sad. “You’re mad at Meliodas and Zeldris, aren’t you?” What? Mad? Was it that? Natsu knew he wanted to be angry at those demons that hurt him and Lisanna and Happy but… Was he mad at the…the demons that… saved them? That saved their lives? Was it…was it because they were demons? They were good though. Even though… “They only wanted you to live,” Elizabeth continued, interrupting his thoughts. “When we removed that magic mass—etherious, you called it?” Natsu nodded numbly to her question. He didn’t remember this, though. He lost consciousness somewhere in the middle. “When it was removed,” Elizabeth continued, “we started to lose you. It was connected so strongly to your life-force. Maybe…it was the only thing keeping you alive at the moment. I was already sustaining you, but Meliodas knew it was just temporary, and Zeldris noticed that… Well, you already had some miasma in you. They just gave you more, to fill that void. They really did mean well, although I know none of us were able to ask you for your opinion.” What was he supposed to say—er, do—to that? That he didn’t want to be alive? It would be a lie. Even though there were moments he was so miserable he just wanted to go to sleep early, he didn’t want to…not be alive. But he was kinda’ freaked out by all the changes. He didn’t feel comfortable in his own skin anymore, and he didn’t know whether it was because that black miasma stuff was there and smelled different, or if he didn’t recognize himself with the etherious demon missing. Both were actually a little scary to think about. Yet Igneel taught him to never regret living. Hell, Master taught him that tooand all of Fairy Tail for that matter. So why was this so hard? He squeezed his knees, trying to focus himself. The best response Natsu could give was to shake his head. No, he wasn’t mad. Natsu didn’t think he could describe what he was feeling if he could still talk. Ugh, this was why he never bothered with this kind of stuff. It…it hurt, and there was nothing to fight. The corner of the queen’s mouth turned up slightly, but her eyes didn’t change. “I see.”

making an nnt "god" a concrete thing with lore / biology. substance if you will. because committing to the bit is fun and nakaba missed out
inspired that the idea that not only should Meliodas and Elizabeth have a less human form but Tristan too! I love the different takes on their designs.
chapters cause this is long! and control f is our friend
canon adjacent lore
children of the gods
awakened god designs
the gods' chosen helpers
extra pet theory because I love y'all and I love elizabeth angst
@kalopsiakey @7-ratsinatrenchcoat thank you for helping out with the brainstorming for the tristan and melizabeth 'eldritch forms'! Hope you like the finished product!!
- - - - canon adjacent lore anyone ? - - - - -
In my aus, I usually go with the interpretation that the SD and DK are the latest two in a line of governing deities, with the others dying to various means. And the SD and DK blotted them out from public memory to establish the maximum amount of control for themselves.
In order to govern their realms, I propose it was a long-standing practice that gods would retain only a percentage of their power, and lend out the rest to trusted ones who help them ensure the safety and health of their realm. There might be other groups that the Archangels and Ten Commandments are in charge of!
Theoretically, this would also allow them to retain a form suitable to walk among their people. None of this taller than a castle shtick. Perhaps the DK and SD are physically magnified with their power. Part of their appearance is morphed by their will - the DK's armor, and the veil across the Supreme Diety's face seem to be symbols of their power. They can also be representative of how the DK was seen as an invincible opponent, and how now one knew the SD's true intentions but thought she's "too holy to look upon and find fault in."
To a god, sacrificing and dividing up your power (especially) in a time of peace is symbolic of trust and humility. In war, it could be neccessary to maintain one's prestige and honor as a monarch., Could mean that you value the ability to live as one of your people as one of them rather than as someone they worship.
- - - - children of the gods - - - -
What's the difference between something like the Supreme Diety and her daughter? Biologically, nothing, I'd assume. In nnt, "god" seems to be a state of being, asserted not simply by having power but by coming into your own and claiming it as you.
I propose that the gods are a conduit for that portion of their realm's magic that would otherwise roam freely, and that the other life in that realm has already absorbed, at birth, the limit each individual can handle. Biologically, that is.
For a goddess or demon to maintain that state in Britannia without cracking holes in the fabric of reality, there'd need to be some way to both reign in that power and dilute it down to a level that's manageable for that individual. And there probably are ways. Let's see what happened to Mel. His 'original powers,' when he accepted them, were raw and undivided; additionally, he had no clue how to manage a power influx of that extent and his mind was NOT in a good place to try and manage an extra extreme stressor. And uh. He has priors with letting his demon powers run amock in a destructive manner. If there's also a psychological component to how your godly powers act, that's the first uh-oh. Second uh - oh: he'd maintained complete certainty that unlocking them would have that kind of disastrous consequences for 3,000 years. self-fulfilling prophecies are a thing. especially if you believe that a demon's powers, specifically, their darkness, is deeply involved with their subconscious. Being 'a god' doesn't seem to logically coincide with being helpless. I think the real reason the DK and SD were trapped in their "bubbles" in their respective realms is their refusal to set aside that power, and walk as a simple demon or goddess even temporarily. A lack of will (in the gods' place) or a lack of control (Mel), rather than a lack of possibility. It makes it more interesting, I think!
In that case, the natural disasters we saw after Mel stepped into that power would be a result of the vast amount of demon realm magic accompanying him running completely amock in the wrong realm, interfering with the other magics present and the balance.
- - - - For "awakened god" designs! - - - -
I think Meliodas would want to keep his appearance mostly the same . . . just with more pizazz. Same with Zeldris, he seems to have it down pretty well already judging by his dramatic entrance in 4kota. If they're able to channel their powers well enough for this, I think they'd leave most 'monstrous' features toggled off while using this form except for their aura, and other associated demonic features such as wings, horns, and claws. They'd use the extra power boost to help their darkness roam with more versatility. Perhaps it'd form a tail behind them and coil about their horns and nearby loved ones like decorative, protective wreaths. It might lend a dragonlike flair to Meliodas, with several sets of horns about his face and dragonlike spines; and likewise, for Zeldris, some regal feathers and a simple, elegant floating crown - irremovable but loved - floating like a halo above his head.
I think Elizabeth would gain another pair of wings (if not more), and a dress of light in the same theme as Meliodas's assault mode outfit. She would have a magnificent crown of light, and she would hate it, she would complain that she didn't even wear a crown at her wedding, why does her magic think she'd want one? and she'd tear it off. every time. Maybe one day she'll accept it. Her brother-in-law tells her it's a symbol of how she'd given her heart, blood and breath to her realm, and to protecting the peace in Britannia, and that it's something she earned. But all she can see is this form is more grandiose than her mother's ever was, regardless of how much more like herself it looks than like some plain, no-faced worship-demanding statue. (That's how Meli describes her mother). Maybe one day! In the meantime, she released most of her original magic back to the Celestial Realm to assist in its revival. And covers up the crown with ribbons her husband sewed for her whenever she's prepping for a serious battle.
The special feature I came up with for what I'm calling Tristan's "awakened god form" is based on a biblical angel's wheels of eyes. That, except Twinkle stars, bright as a goddess's magic but as maneuverable as darkness, and they point in whichever direction he's focused on.
Wings would be feather-based, with darkness that weaves around them like the tounges of flames.
I think even the most high-level demons and goddesses would have less humanlike teeth in the back of their mouths accompanying their molars. Maybe just a little sharper, and much more durable. Maybe a second or third row of teeth that gets less prominent or even more retractable as it nears the lips. sharks come to mind. I'm jealous of their teeth. Why are ours so flimsy. Anyway. 7 rats proposed a demon / goddess child's noticably inhuman teeth might be like that of an anglerfish. Interesting idea.
Like. Uh- puts on a poetic narrator voice Like a wide smile, almost uncannily wide but almost like the way you walk with your feet pointed outward and not an emotion. And when he moves his mouth to speak or frown you can see little gleaming edges along his jaw like a set of jewels in a necklace. You're not sure what they are. Like spikes or horns but… from within. That ought to be decorative, you think, but you've thought the same about the demons’ sets of horns and their fangs and now that you think about it, the shapes surrounding the powered-up goddesses'… is they really magic or something supernatural beyond your mind’s comprehension. . . ?
As for the eyes - dark, demon-colored with swirling golden triskeles in the center. Since in normal form he already has the duality - and it makes sense considering how goddess and demon powers present themselves in their eyes - I think hiding the heterochromia in his eldritch form would make it more horrifying. Like, now we are stepping away from physics into what a “god” is in this universe. The darkness spills out of his eyes like the whisps of dry ice ofc!
- - - the gods' chosen helpers: examinating the the SD's blessings and the DK's curses - - - -
3/4 Archangels' Graces channel a certain element of nature: wind (Tornado), water (Ocean), light (Sunshine), with Ludociel's Flash being the odd one out. I propose this is because Ludociel has such a tainted mindset the only Grace that would take him is the one representing swift, determined action (because hehe). The Ten Commandments, unlike the Graces, have a further element of control - their double-edged nature - suggesting the DK isn't as thorough of a manipulatior (deadbeat hehe) as the SD and cannot rely on his command alone to gain 100% of the TC's focus. There's been clear tampering with the power it gives them, and less trust; they're artificial compared to the Graces, one of which was said to have chosen Escanor of its own free will. As for what they can do - they represent values that are considered virtues. Except for purity. what the hell does Derieri's purity do again? Not that she NEEDS that extra power, for the love of god the brute force trauma of this woman's second blow would probably cause permanent damage. Anyway, love forces those with hatred in their hearts to stand down from a fight (objectively not a bad thing), truth does the truth thing, etc.
These are not neccessarily combat-focused powers, though they are used and intended as such. It's not a stretch to say they could be utlized in a different manner in times of peace. The Demon Realm has probably countless small villages and intellegent species for the King to oversee and keep the peace between. It makes sense for him to have more vassals from that standpoint. Meanwile, the Celestial Realm from what we can tell has fallen into disrepair without the routine care of its people. I'm gonna go ahead and headcanon that the natural phenomenon here is at least as 'extreme' in human terms as the demon realm's, and that effectively managing a system of islands in the sky with probably dozens of intellegent migratory creatures like sky fish, etc. does take some supernatural effort. And that most of the goddess population here is centralized in one main area. Pretty much all nakaba has given us is an implied lack of diversity in the celestial realm (why everyone look like that except for Tarmiel) (it's fine we can make the creatures ourselves). Anyway. A not-double-edged-sword version of the Commandments and the current Graces could be repurposed to aid in civil relations (people), and enviornmental mangement (nature) respectively.
-- - - - - extra! pet theory as to why Elizabeth is an only child - - - -
I have a pet theory for my holy war au that Elizabeth wasn't made like a human child and is, rather, a genetic clone the SD shaped of herself (think shaping a living being out of clay) as well as just one in a succession of rebellious (and very dead) attempts at the perfect daughter. This is why there's only one of her, while Meliodas has a sibling, and why she's older than Meliodas. Until Elizabeth, there was no proof that what the SD and DK wanted could be managed without serious consequences. The SD learned that just having the one is important for the amount of control she wants over her daughter. She only has so much patience, and the sisters tended to back each other over her. Thank - well, herself - that they were so young. . . all those times. This is why the DK insisted on totally eliminating his children's emotions; he thinks so long as they don't care for one another, and don't even think to, he can manage as many as he wishes. Otherwise, he thinks the SD is a loon who failed like four times in succession, and refuses to acknowledge that he specifically waited for her to succeed, "learning" from her mistakes, before having his own children.

Opal: The Virtue of Chastity (NNT OC Breakdown)
Tumblr media
Buckle up, this’ll be a LONG ONE!
💞🕊️
Opal is the Dove virtue of Chastity. She was created by a goddess race builder, Araceli (an OC), who wished to create life. She is the third member of the virtues to join up and is the oldest virtue. She is possibly the most powerful.
Opal is over 3,000 years old, created during the Holy War as a prototype. She is a puppet.
Her builder was heavily inspired by Gowther’s doll and tried to steal his ideas. This means some of her abilities are similar to Gowther’s, such as her ability to shape shift.
Out of Selflessness, and his own wish for freedom, Gowther gifted her sentience and urged her to escape the Stigma base and the battlegrounds.
For 3,000 years she traveled the continent, learning about humans and protecting the human towns from whatever threatened them.
She was still doing this during the Second Holy War, and participated in Gloxinia and Drole’s fighting festival.
Tumblr media
Recent concept art
She meets Princess Violet after booking a room at the Boar Hat tavern. Meliodas recognizes her energy as Goddess magic, and invites her to the castle to see Elizabeth.
She has good relationships with her teammates, particularly Emeral, because of his scientific mind. She and Violet become very close friends.
Araceli modeled her after Nerobasta, who she saw often. Opal’s current day appearance is inspired by the castle paintings, one being Nadja’s.
Opal adores feminine things. She will show up to battle in petticoats and heels and be just fine, because she’s that good.
She has a strong desire for companionship. Araceli was a lonely builder, and it was passed onto her creation.
Opal is a hopeless romantic but has never had a partner because she’s afraid of losing someone. No one lives long enough for her to live happily ever after.
Tumblr media
Recent Concept art
She has a baseline power level of 6,000 because she was created with the intent of fighting lower-level demons that the Goddess race didn’t want to bother with. However, over the last 3,000 years, that has nearly doubled.
Her magic is all defensive, but can be repurposed into offensive with strategy.
Bubble: encases herself and others into a pearly white bubble. It only needs to be cast once, and doesn’t require effort to keep it stable. When she's done, she can pop it.
Dome: a dome of varying sizes that keeps everything in or out— it is a physical, glassy barrier. Being hit only makes it thicken. The only way to beat it is to hit as hard as you can the moment it appears.
Shield: A solid disc she can use as a shield. She can also summon a bunch of smaller discs and throw them at the enemy.
Despite her sentience, she can still be used as a puppet. If someone knows the magic phrase, Opal becomes a vessel for that person to use their own powers through her. Her body was built to withstand goddess magic, so she’d hold up well. She is careful not to let others know this phrase.
Tumblr media
More refined concept art
She earned the Virtue of Chastity for her efforts to protect human lives. “For protecting innocent lives from corruption, leaving their lands pure and untouched.” She was given a dove tattoo on her forearm.
She does have a love interest who belongs to a friend of mine— he is a Zeldris x Gelda child. They’d be very slow burn. His name is Stephan.
Her arc would probably be learning how to let people in, because she’s afraid of caring about people too much. There would also be an arc about her past and meeting Gowther again for the first time in 3,000 years, which might be big for her.
The Masterlist contains links to the other virtues!

This is Part II of my list of NNT OCs for the rewrite:
Uther Pendragon: The father of Arthur and the husband of Igraine. He took a liking to Merlin around the time Arthur was born and had her appointed as his personal royal court mage. He also went along with the idea of giving up Arthur as a newborn to Sir Ector if it meant he’d prosper and would be safe. Uther was the King of Camelot until he became unfit when Arthur was sixteen. Since he was the current wielder of Excalibur, out of paranoia of being overthrown, he takes the sword and shoves it into the stone with all of his might, deeming that whoever pulls it out can be the new king (It was also a test for Arthur, who he knew to be old enough). Miraculously, when the sword was out of his possession, he became better. But a promise is a promise. He couldn’t be more proud of his own flesh and blood becoming the new king.
Guinevere Cameliard: The princess of Cameliard, and the daughter of Leodegrance. She's in an arranged marriage with Arthur Pendragon, and a student of magic. She's one of the first students of Aleron, who reluctantly takes the princess in after a few pushes from Arthur and Igraine.
Leodegrance Cameliard: The father of Guinevere and the King of Cameliard. He's the best friend of Uther Pendragon, and one of his closest allies. He's taken a shine to Arthur and was the one to propose the arranged marriage.
Ector: Arthur's adoptive father and Kay's biological one. Merlin gave the newborn to Ector, who took him in, not knowing that he was the prince of Camelot, and raised him as his own. He was the boy's personal trainer in swordsmanship. He was also Camelot's commander.
Vlasta: A demon that deflected from the Holy War centuries ago. Once a fierce-some warrior on the battlefield and a remarkable blacksmith, she sticks with Arne and they both decide to run a church and nunnery together. She's the head nun and one of Aleron's teachers. She and Arne eventually marry. Vlasta keeps an armory underneath the church and sharpens blades in her free time to keep herself from going rusty.
Arne: Often referred to as 'Father Arne', he's a demon that deflected from the Holy War and found comfort in a church who worshiped the Goddesses. On a whim, he decides to become a priest and speaks gospel about the Goddesses. He's one of Aleron's teachers, and enjoys drinking all the church's wine. Never drinks on the job, but after in the privacy of his home? It's all fair game.
Malvolia: Once a mage of the Kingdom of Tintagel and teacher of Aleron, after Gorlois died and Aleron abandoned the throne, she took over as ruler. Becoming powerful over time, she plots the downfall of everyone and anyone that was Gorlois' enemy. She considers Aleron an enemy of the nation as well.

NNT Rewatch s2ep1-6
(This was written weeks ago but was in my queue. I am moving back to my college town Saturday so busy days are to come but now I have things to procrastinate 😈)
So YAYAYAY time for season 2 (my fave season overall) !! I’ve rewatched this one before, so i actually remember some of this lol
Ban: I quit
Meliodas: your face is the only joke we can handle
HE GOT HIS ASS DAMN
i love both of diane’s orange fits, but s1 leotard hits different
i have thots abt the introduction of power levels that will be told beneath the cut
i mean it’s all very dragon ball (which i love, but in a very different way). I feel like they are just better executed in manga format, because saying the numbers out loud just kinda breaks up the flow of dialogue and action. Plus the numbers never stay accurate since the characters are always powering up and nakaba lowkey just stops using them at one point. so like assault mode!Meliodas has a power of 142,000. BUT he defeats enemies with powers higher than that and is shown to gain even more power. But this is the highest number we have for him. Overall, theyre clunky, not updated enough to be accurate, and just kinda cheesy :/ I feel like plot could have been added to justify and explain the eye of Balor (AKA Drole if i remember correctly) but it’s just used as an excuse to quantify the characters’ strength since this season is mainly focused on physical and emotional growth, as seen by the Ishtar Arc (one of my fave arcs hehe)
merlin’s friendship with hawk is actually so cute tho
so Meliodas’s beginner stats (still missing his powers) are magic 400, strength 960, spirit 2010. The way I see it, his insane spirit strength could mean one of two things: bitch is just hella determined in his quest to end their curses and protect his friends (likely) or merlin taking away his power only affects his strength and magic since spirit has to do with your mind (also likely) anyway what do y’all think?
how the fuck is gowther’s strength 500??? The average person who can lift 50-100 lbs has a strength of 30. HOW IN THE FUCK?? IS GOWTHER SECRETLY SWOLE????
Meliodas being like “no idk who the ten shadows could be haha” when he and merlin literally formed the sins to fight them and HE WAS THE LEADER OF THE 10 COMMANDMENTS is so funny like so tru king lie to their faces
the first thing Zeldris says is “3000 years... please tell me that he’s still alive” which tells me two things: 1) he doesn’t know about Meliodas’s curse, which could explain why estarossa kills him when he’s just going to come back a rival to the throne of the demon king and 2) the listed life expectancy of 1000 years for demons is probably not accurate lol
maybe it’s driven down due to number of battle deaths like the mortality rate of the middle ages lol
we are introduced to a demon who hopes mel is alive, shares a voice actor, AND HAS THE SAME FACE yeah the brother coding is very thick
AJSDBJKBHJEBFNWKFH YESSS THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVE INTRO SONG AND ANIMATION
ban’s refusal to get jericho’s name right makes me laugh every time
Jericho: is scared and runs to Ban
Ban: 🤨 yeah. i don’t remember asking you to grab my arm🙄
im sorry but king rlly was a bad fairy king like mans didnt even know the forest was there 😭 its ok tho i love that for him
King hating Ban at first bc he “killed elaine and destroyed the fairy kings forest” only for Ban to pull THE BIGGEST uno reverse on him will never not be funny
wait does that mean ban is technically the 4th fairy king and king is both the 3rd and the 5th bc that would be rlly funny and does happen quite a bit historically
I love how as much as a smug asshole Ban is, he’s not rubbing it in King’s face and is showing him he’s still his friend
so if Gil is Margaret’s guard and Griamore is Veronica’s, does that mean Howzer was Elizabeth’s ?? bc that would be so fucking funny
Helbram got King’s ass with “and you’re short”
KASBDFNJBSDKF HE LOOKS SO GOOFY😭
Tumblr media
MY BABYGIRLS ARE HEREEEE
Tumblr media
Best girls Melascula and Derieri fr
i love that they said slader is gay, how can we let the audience know and then gave him the smoothest, gayest voice imaginable
merlin calling og gowther a great magician when we know he was the one to train her is actually so sad, i want to give baby merlin a hug
slader is hot, thanks for coming to the ted talk
Tumblr media
how the fuck does he walk like this tho??
Tumblr media
is there a reason i just don’t remember why they never really bring up albions again or do they just ~disappear~ conveniently from the story lol
So the whole concept of sacred treasures is really cool to me because they are clearly something unique to the Sins, despite all of the sacred treasures being very different and made of different materials. I mean Gowther’s is straight up made of light Still, them having weapons that serve as a constant and grow with them as they become more powerful is just a neat concept to me. I just wish we could have seen Ban use Courechouse more than just a few episodes. There really isn’t a plot reason he couldn’t have had it beforehand.
Gerheade being a bitch to Ban bc he’s a human makes literally no sense when we learn her backstory with Rou. Like NO sense at all lol
I honestly love that Meliodas destroyed the albion on his own. Like yes, he is my OP blorbo BUT he’s also supposed to be incredibly powerful in canon, which we haven’t seen him go all out with an enemy yet. Not only does he know all about albions (bc he’s a demon), but as leader of the 10 Commandments, he probably was on the controlling side of the golems. Then, as a member of Stigma, he fought against them. Not to mention, this is when he finally gets Lostvayne (the DEMON sword) back. This moment for me is when he gets to show off the perks of him being a powerful and high ranking demon. Might fuck around and do a full post later on Meliodas’s relationship to his own race and what/who he is lol
Ban screaming “you bitch!!” is... a wonderful experience
Yass king (hehehehe get it? bc his name is king? hehehe)
Galand petting Gloxinia is actually so cute lol
Merlin covering Arthur’s eyes 😭😭 she’s his mom fr
Tumblr media
“its been a while meliodas” oop galand just let the Meliodas is 3000 years old cat out of the bag ehehe
(stay with me bc im about to get delusional) WAIT so galand says “to think that after all this time has passed youd still be in that form” in this essay i will prove that Meliodas looks like a young teenager because he essentially is biologically young for the demon race. Galand doesn’t know Mel was cursed, so he would think that he had aged in the past 3000 years. Plus, I think the demon king’s possession of Meliodas AND Zeldris can be (somewhat) compared to Sariel’s aging up of Solaseed. Anyway, i feel like this can support my hypothesis of Zeldris and Meliodas are just babies who will eventually look like adults. Also, I think them being super young just enhances the angst quite well.
everyone is fucking terrified of galand but hes just a silly foolish little fellow to me lol
ban and king being brothers-in-law makes my heart happy like theyre so cute
Ban threatening Gerheade and actually being pissed and serious has suddenly reminded me that if i saw a grown ass man who couldn’t die and was a 7 foot tall violent alcoholic i would be fucking terrified
like a demon 14 year old? creepy ig but not a 7 foot tall masochist with an 8 pack
I love how hard Diane always goes for the ones she loves, she’s just so devoted and passionate Best Girl tm behavior
*Merlin being incredibly confidant and nonchalant starting a proposition*
Meanwhile Merlin’s thoughts: SHIT SHIT I HAVE 10 SECONDS TO THINK BEFORE EVERYONE I LIKE DIES
Meliodas doing the same thing Hendy did by reattaching his fucking arms using Darkness and the sins still being like wait?? is Meliodas?? a... demon ??? 🤨
okay so we DO see him in this mode again. But what is it called? and why does he become no thots head empty? its not like he died. and even in assault mode, he has thoughts and emotions (when they’re not stuck in purgatory)
Tumblr media
Im ngl, i forgot everything about this episode entirely lol
obvi i hate that derieri died, but at least the souls she fucking ate got returned lol
do we think arthur has a tiny teenage gay crush on meliodas? Discuss.
(the answer is yes ehehe)
gowther walking around with his dang a lang swangin hehe
Gil crying in annoyance and defeat as griamore and howzer bicker is literally so hashtag real
HENDYYY MY BABYGIRL IS BACK BAYBAYYYY
very suddenly realized that Hendy’s probably only like in his 30s. Mans is just not that old
exactly 3 seconds after I had that though Howzer calls him old man LOLLL
i forgot about hendy’s childhood trauma. damn. thats actually rlly sad :/
look how cute he is tho 😭😭
Tumblr media
hendy and dreyfus are in love. thanks for coming to another one of my ted talks
so do we think dreyfus is half druid (and zaratras is full) or zaratras is half druid? i mean they’re half brothers but only one is a called a druid sooo
IM SORRY BUT THIS IS THE FUNNIEST FUCKING SCREENSHOT ASDFFHSLDH elizabeth scandalized, meliodas accepting his fate, slader leaning in closer and blushing ITS JUST SO GOOD
Tumblr media
The ass shot of Diane 🤨😑
Damn Idk how i never realized that all of them pretty much only call Meliodas captain. Merlin, Ban, and Elizabeth are the only ones who will call him Meliodas, but even merlin and ban typically go with captain.
“im a giant, why arent you afraid of me?” hes a fucking demon. lol

Casting NNT characters in EPIC the Musical:)
(This is not canon in my odysseyxnnt au!!! I’m just going by voices and vibes lmao)
(Voices are based in the japanese dub, I haven’t watched the english one sorry)
First, who gives theater kid ✨ vibes mhm
The first two characters that come to mind are Gowther (OBV) and Deathpierce (have you seen that guy like-), and like at least two out of the four archangels give me the vibes too but I want this to be like a “if there’s a production in universe who would be casted” (even if that would be impossible).
So I think that even if they give me the vibes some of them wouldn’t participate.
Taking that into account… First
Who of the nnt characters gives me theater kid vibes?: (The only 4kota characters I’m taking into account are Lancelot and Tristan)
-Golgius
-Ruin
-Marmas
-Twigo
-Vivian
-Gustaf
-Zaratras
-Dreyfus
-Hendrickson (I see him in the backstage, helping with the special effects)
-Margaret
-Gilthunder
-Jillian
-Slader
-Deldry
-Dogedo
-Deathpierce
-Pelliot
-Helbram
-Zaneri
-Nerobasta
-Sariel
-Tarmiel
-Ludociel (but doesn’t admit it)
-Gloxinia
-Melascula
-Galand
-Bellion
-Gerheade
-Dolores
-Gelda
-Ban
-Diane (especially in the dancing part)
-King (in costume or props design, I think he’d die if he were on stage)
-Gowther
-Tristan
Then we have the characters that’d be “that guy who hasn’t done theater in their lives but lands the main character”:
-Meliodas (HE ABSOLUTELY WOULD)
-Howzer and Griamore (the straight guys that get casted because there aren’t enough male actors😂)
-Elizabeth (her japanese VA sings very good)
Now, I don’t think that demons or archangels would participate in this as most of the people casted would be humans, but I see fairies and giants participating.
So finally, who would I cast for who? (Including substitutes)
For the main three humans soldiers (originally wanted them to be the troublesome duo but I’m changing it)
Polites: Gilthunder (I imagine him to have a sweet singing voice so it matches). Substitute: Howzer
Eurylochus: originally I wanted to make him Ban, but maybe he’d get too excited in the fighting scene and would end up badly lol, the I thought of Slader to have someone very tall but his voice doesn’t fit, so I’m going to go with Griamore as he has also a deep voice. Substitute: Slader (he’d pull a Jonathan Bailey and act as the straightest guy on Earth in this) or Golgius
Odysseus: Meliodas (he’s the power of the protagonist, also because I think he’d make both a good aggressive voice and an emotional voice which is necessary to make a good Odysseus). Substitute: Howzer or Slader (both can make it pretty scary and emotional I think
Crew and suitors: the ensemble would be a bunch of holy knights and most of them don’t even sing, they are on stage to make it seem as if there’s a lot of people. But the main voices that you can hear in the choir are: Golgius, Dogedo, Twigo, Ruin and Marmas.
Polyphemus: I want him to be Dolores with a distortion effect in her voice (with magic). I imagine her just apologising after every rehearsal haha.
Zeus: again almost casting Ban as him but I think that Dreyfus would be best as he looks older and has a deep voice too. Substitute: Ban
Winions: I’d love if this part of the ensemble are fairies that were convinced by Helbram to participate in this (he’s not dead in this okay? I love him so much and I need him for this to work)
Hermes: talking about Helbram…Yeah, him. Substitute: Harlequin would have to step up and he is praying he doesn’t has to lol (they needed someone who could fly), also Gloxinia
Athena: I want Margaret to be her so much, I feel she would be a very good actress for her but her voice don’t match that much, but that’s because she always speaks so softly… Maybe she could be a good Penelope? Ok I’m leaving Athena and Penelope for the end because I think I have an idea.
Aeolus: Elaine or Elizabeth (I know Elizabeth would do a perfect Penelope as Mel is Odysseus but I don’t think she’d want such a spotlight), both would work so I’m making them taking turns haha.
Circe: Deldry yayyy. Substitute: Jillian
Tiresias: Howzer CAN sing. Substitute: Gowther (he can imitate any voice so the singing bit isn’t a problem to him, and I think he can pull off a very good dramatic act)
Poseidon: BAN WOULD BE THE PERFECT POSEIDON, especially with Mel as Ody. Substitute: Deathpierce
Apollo: Gloxinia. Substitute: Marmas
Hepheastus: I think this as a role for “an invited celebrity” such as Denzel.
Afrodite: wanted to make her Melascula but can’t so it’s for an “invited celeb”. Substitute: Eli:) as a fun gag
Ares: Twigo¿ no idea, I wanted to make him Galand but can’t, also for an “invited celeb”. Substitute: Meliodas as a fun gag:)
Telemachus: depending on the timeline ngl, either Pelliot or Tristan. Substitute: Simon (a grown ass man but that’s how theater works)
Antinous: Deathpierce, fire vocals need the guy who’s power is related to music heh. Substitute: Dogedo
Okay now finally Penelope, VERY hard. I think Athena and Penelope are going to have more than two actors depending on the telemachus and Odysseus and have the same substitute: Margaret, Elizabeth (kinda want to put Gelda and Merlin here ngl) and Veronica (going to throw the three princesses here because interpreting these two characters would make them have a good public image and may attract more people to watch the show. Substitute: Gowther (I’m putting him in a lot of places as a substitute because he’s the most versatile actor from here, as he can literally imitate ANYONE. Like I imagine him acting the most heartbreaking scenes like in the “would you fall in love with me again” song, crying and everything and after ending the scene just: 😭->😗)

3. Light Amidst Our Darkness | The Seven Deadly Sins - 33 kudos
My personal favorite works:
1. I'm Falling, Falling (This Ground Can't Hold Me) | The Seven Deadly Sins
I don't have a lot of works posted this year, but this is one of my favorites. It's also one I didn't expect to write - I just saw the prompt and was inspired. Either way, I really like how this one turned out. It feels pretty representative of my nnt fics as well: holy war era + demon bros + angst :3
2. Always Keeping an Eye on You | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, 2003
My love for an old fandom of mine have been a bit revived this past year, and by old I mean possibly one of my first fandoms (although I haven't been very active about it online). It was fun to rewrite a 7 year old wip (and a lot of other emotions too because wow). My writing has definitely changed a lot since I wrote the first draft of this fic, and it was really fun to see that development. This also fits pretty well with my favorite kind of fics, that is the siblings and angst combo!
3. nnt headcanon: Demon Thermoregulation | The Seven Deadly Sins
This is my only non-fic work posted on ao3 in 2024. I also took me over a year to finish, so it was really fun to be able to actually post it! I don't post a lot of stuff like this; a lot of my headcanons are just me vibing with an idea (and sometimes that idea changes between each fic I'm writing) but this hc is one I really like and have thought a lot about. So I'm happy I could actually explore it more in depth. Of course, I also don't like when things are like "well, because magic/fantasy/whatever", so I wanted the demons' thermoregulation to actually make sense - meaning I put a lot of research into this. The response to this has also been a lot better than I thought it'd be <3
My new year's writing resolutions:
Write more!!
Post at least 1 work each month
Complete some of my on-going fics
Continue (and finish?) my nnt analysis (Meliodas' demon secret)
HAVE FUN <3

Hey, I am new to tumblr so I hope I am doing this right…but I have recently read through all the Nnt aus on your blog and I have thoughts about one of them that I wanted to share, so I hope you like them even if you don’t seem to be active in the fandom anymore.
For the post holy war au where Meliodas and Zeldris were babies during the holy war escaped the seal and were raised by Chandler and Cusack afterwards: I think it would be fun if the Ten Commandments showed up, though I have no idea who would release them in this timeline or what the exact line up would be considering meliodas killed 2 or 3 in the canon timeline and Zeldris was the one who recruited Gloxinia and Drole. The commandments would probably have the same plan as in canon and are either not aware Mel and Zel were born or assume they were killed by the goddesses alongside chandler and Cusack, but either way they would not recognize Mel and zel as they are now. From Mel and Zel’s side, I imagine that they would sense the commandments and deduce that the magic had to come from powerful demons even though they don’t know many demons and would go seek them out immediately. When they meet I have two ideas on how it could go. Either they start asking a million questions at once, barely pausing to breath in their enthusiasm at meeting other demons. Or, what I can also imagine, is that Chandler and Cusack taught Mel and Zel how they should interact with other demons if they ever meet one, except it was less ‘how do you make friends?’ and more what they thought was appropriate behavior for demon princes. Which is more along the lines of ‘beat anyone who shows the slightest bit of disrespect into submission’, (they had this lesson before meliodas snuck out and started visiting liones). I feel Mel and Zel would have had enough ‘normal’ socialization in Liones to know better at this point in the story, but I still think it would be hilarious if Mel and Zel almost immediately overpower the commandments with for example that move meliodas used to press Zeldris and Estarossa into ground in S3. Because of course neither of them have any inclination to have others submit to them in fear, they are doing it because their ‘dads’ said this is what they were supposed to be doing in this situation. So they are smiling brightly while doing it, feeling quite proud of themselves (you know in that ‘dad, look! I did it!’ kind of way).
Either way it is a bit of a chaotic mess, because the commandments have no idea who these two demons are and where they came from. The commandments are quite distracted from their original plans and have no idea how to interact with children that are so innocent and ignorant to the realities of war and it takes a bit before Mel and Zel let enough information slip for one of the smarter commandments to put the pieces together.
mmmh this got quite long 🤔, but anyway I hope you like my addition and that I did this correctly 😅. Honestly, I am not even sure what I expect you to do with this.
hey, welcome to tumblr^^
and yeah, I'm not really in the fandom anymore, but every once in a while, i see someone mass liking the nnt au posts and i won't lie, it does kinda bring a smile to my face to know that people are still enjoying those^^
unfortunately, i only vaguely remember the au you're describing, but it would probably be pretty interesting. Especially if these new/old commandments keep trying to find Mel and Zel and where they live, but never can due to Cusak and Chandlers magic.
Do Mel and Zel tell their dads about the other demons they met though? Feels like something significant they should mention, unless they told them to never go near other demons, although since they did teach them how to act around other demons, that doesn't seem likely.
Regardless, if the commandments try to tell Mel and Zel about what happened in the past with the demon race being sealed away, the two bros might have some questions for their caretakers, who may not have told them about everything in an effort to spare their innocence, or just because they were too young to really know or grasp the reality of what happened back then.

Hey!! I’ve been asking nnt bloggers about what kind of landmarks and things they would put in the demon realm since I'm making a big project on that! If you have anything you’d like me to put in there let me know :D
Hello! In the parts of the that we have into the demon realm in, the rocks/landscape usually seem to be red/purple, so the sand, beaches and soil would probably be a pinkish colour. The demons would also have to be really heat resistant in order to use hellblaze the way they do, and another of them seem to have very little clothing so the demon realm is probably really hot. This would mean most of the fauna and wildlife there would have to be realay hardy in order to survive. I'm thinking cacti, baobab tree, palm tree, generally more tough than other plants. Also probably really large desserts, plains stuff like that.
There's also the matter that alot of the demons we see are absolutely gargantuan, so the fauna would also have to be MASSIVE to feed these guys. Our tallest trees are probably their shortest ones. When forests have lots of trees like that, you often can't see the sun, it just goes completely black. This .means that most 9f the animals there would have more nocturnal feature such as echolocation, heat vision, night vision and better senses of smell. This would probably go for the demons too.
Also most of the planets in our solar system have more than one moon, we just got really unlucky, so I'm thinking that more likely than not, the demon realm has more than one moon, probably lots.
Also I think it would be cool if there was evidence of the goddesses attacks, just giant spots of forest or rock that have been completely bleached of all colour. Also I'm thinking the goddesses would have tried contaminating the water/spreading chemicals somaybe some neon green rivers, really fucked up wild life with sooo many legs. Also again bigger people need bigger amounts of food/water, so some really big canyons too. Baby demons may have trouble controlling their magic, so most houses would be made out of stone, also generally not a smart idea to have a wooden house when your literally made out if fire. Palace probably has lots of cool detailed carvings though. Also you should put pomegranates in there, don't ask me why pomegranates just fit really well in the demon realm. Hope I didn't ramble too much.

Time for some ✨theories✨
What? New shady Chaos Knights? And one has Goddess powers? Oh no. Oh NO.
Tumblr media
Who is this motherfucker? And what's he doing to best girl Gawain?
Okay I'm pretty sure this guy is either a more or less brainwashed Mael or some other kind of demon-goddess hybrid by the looks of his mask. (Very similar to Mael when he went apeshit in NNT). Very possible that he's some Goddess Zombie of a character we already know. Maybe some Archangels. Maybe not. His sleeves look similar to Mael's outfit too. Maybe Arthur infueled one of his knights with Goddess magic, maybe he straight up fused someone.
My guess is: this guy's the reanimated corpse of Denzel Liones mixed with Nerobasta's magic. Look at the sword. It would be fun to have them back if we ended up meeting Derriere's reincarnation *cough* Thetis? *cough*
Or maybe he's NANASHI?
Either way FACE REVEAL, WHEN?

So I had a really convoluted idea for an au and since your one of the best NNT au ppls I wanted to talk to you about it. I will fully admit I was partially inspired bu Legend of Zelda lore.
First and foremost, in this au, Meliodas and Elizabeth aren't cursed, but they still go through the immortality/reincarnation bs.
So Meliodas and Elizabeth are basically demigods, right? But like... what if they were more than even that? What if they were full on Gods in and of themselves? They are still lower in the hierarchy compared to their parents but still divine in their own right. So, two gods... meliodas being a demonic God of War and Elizabeth a divine Goddess of Healing.
When the Great Holy War happens they fight and lead their respective clansmen, like in canon. It goes as normal for the most part, Meliodas and Elizabeth falling in love, running away to join Stigma, etc.
The difference is in how the War ends. It's not the Goddess Clan who stops the war. Meliodas and Elizabeth are the ones to commission the Coffin of Eternal Sleep, it's mechanics are designed to use the Divine magic of two gods to seal the clan away... BOTH clans. There's a price, however.
Meliodas and Elizabeth both give up their divinity, becoming a normal demon and goddess to power the seal, and their fates are bound to the seal and the two entities they intended to seal within it. Originally, the seal was meant for the Supreme Deity and the Demon King, not their clans. A coup to stop the war as a last result. So long as they live, neither Meliodas nor Elizabeth can truly die. The clans disappearing was just a side effect, one completely unintended on their part.
They succeed in sealing both the primordial gods away. However, the way the seal affects them are different. At the last second Elizabeth had tried to push Meliodas away when she realized what the price of the seal would be, making it so she got the brunt of the effect, but it wasn't enough for Meliodas to not be affected at all. Thus, when Elizabeth dies of her wounds, she is reborn as a human, and when Meliodas is killed, he is merely awakened. Both suffer from nightmares due to the link they have to their parents, which weakens when they die. Thus, why Meliodas is in Purgatory, and the reincarnation isn't instantaneous for Elizabeth in most cases.
And that's pretty much the gist of the background of the au
this sounds REALLY good, but I'm gonna assume that the "lore" you're talking about is totk lore, which I know little to nothing about. I haven't played the game yet, bc I'm busy with real life things and starting a new big game right now is probably not a good idea, plus there's still the fact that I don't have a switch, which would be a 300-400€ investment (and that's WITHOUT any games)
So what that means is that I would love to talk more about this au, but do remember to include background information, but please don't write "like in totk", because I will not understand that^^"
So anyway, what do Meliodas and Elizabeth do in this au then? as in, what's their goal? To release their respective clans without releasing the DK and SD? Do Mel and Eli want to regain their god-status/-power? And what about the seal itself, can it still be split into parts and if yes, are they still together or split apart? Do Mel and Eli know where it is? And how were the circumstances of making the seal? Like, did Mel and Eli trick craftsmen of their respective clans to make parts of it, or was that like in nnt canon? And since the canon seal had parts/depictions of every clan except the demon clan, maybe in this au there would be two separate seals for the two clans+gods?

New nnt au I'm working on I'm wish to focus on
Tumblr media
🐉Name:Arthur O. Pendragon
🌳Age after time skip 21-22
Sorry I'm just going to be rambling here about the idea of what's going to be this au I've been thinking of for months and I just really want to act on it now since I'm not going to be as involved in doing stuff related to RWBY for some time
📜Set in Nanatsu no zaitai after season 1/ first arc after saving lions/ Leones (or however you say the kingdom's name)
The seven deadly sins are gone for several years and during that time Arthur Florence the knights of the round table and becomes very well known throughout the kingdom even more
And he all so meets a traveling knight blue lance (stand in for Lancelot from the story's)
💜
He and Arthur don't start off as friends but after several years of fighting together and then fighting with each other on and off they become good friends and one time after Arthur does manage to beat Lance he asked him to become his right hand Knight after he gets blinded
This is set after like the first season / first Big Arc is over after Leona's was saved I have it where the sins go on a mission for the King after saving the kingdom and they get trapped away in time and end up meeting the ten commandments and they end up trapped away in time for about 7 years you know matching the number of the seven deadly
sins and they come back to big changes throughout Britannia after the demons still do end up coming there and attacking everyone during this time skip Arthur still loses his arm to estarosa but during his fight when he loses his arm and his eyesight he uses Excalibur on him and that's how they find out that he's the Lost archangel I'm actually going to give him more to do in my Au
💖
I also have it where Arthur unlocked chaos and instead of him having all of it before Merlin disappear she locks half of it or more away
Because let's be real in the sequel series The only reason Arthur is evil is because Merlin literally gave him all the power of God and it's probably corrupted his mind she probably should have gave him like 20 or 30% of that power we've seen her divide people's Powers before she did it to meliodis I don't know why she couldn't do it to Arthur and have it where he only had like a small percentage or half his power so that's what I'm doing here
He can still change the environment around himself he didn't know how to heal himself till later so that's why he's blind and still missing my arm I won't be adding
Cath to this
🎂
Big things I'll be changing is this au Merlin is not really a kid in this version she's just the adult woman we see
Meliodas retires from fighting to give other nights the chance to shine and have a fight and since the ten commandments got fully sealed away or whatever and other stuff got fixed with the fairy Kings and Giants and whatever we won't be seeing a lot of that if I really do pull through with this au and make more of it
Elizabeth is 19 in this version as well when the series first starts cuz I do want to like add some stuff from the beginning Arc into this but I'm going to have it where she's 19
💛
I'm also going to introduce chaos earlier along with several other deities I'm just going to add in here I'm also going to have it where Merlin was a deity but she got killed and reincarnated into the little girl we all know she was in the story but then she grew up got her memories back of who she was and at some point doing the first holy war she sacrificed half of her magic so that way people could be born with magic throughout the land and be able to defend themselves
💚
I'm probably not going to introduce escanor till later on because I am not sure what to do with his character as of right now he plays such a big role in later arcs but since he wasn't in the first season really to this season maybe I'll just have it where he shows up at the end after everyone's saved and he just meets back up with everyone and that's how the sands get reformed and then they get sent on a mission they find out the ten commandments are about to come back and then they get trapped away and like some different portal thing that drops them away for 7 years
Sorry for yapping for so long

magical balance, anyone ?
another day of fixing Nakba's mistakes ! aka fleshing out the Themes where he didn't
I think each clan’s existence plays a role in maintaining the fabric of reality as it is, and manifesting the magic that exists. Absence or excess causes intense problems and threatens the world.
As put by my pal @exrolotus!
Goddesses: life
Demons: death
Fairies: flora nature
Giants: fauna / tectonic nature
Human: willpower
Basic Diagram of Magical Balance
Tumblr media
(you can barely see the goddess clan! Just like nakaba!)
The given reason for humanity becoming more magical and the overall magical health of Britannia declining is plot convenience. But this is what I think it should actually be going on there:
The goddess clan and demon clan both generally exist at a greater distance from humanity compared to the giant and fairy clan, either in another dimension or other place (my mutuals propose, for instance, that the demon realm exists in either Japan or Ireland); this distance representing how they stand on equally powerful and opposite sides of a spectrum. It’s so clear how far apart they are, how clear at first glance the line is between what they represent. I propose that their link to the magical balance between them is more precarious than that between of the giants and fairies, and much more vital to the manifestation of magic itself.
As for the giants and fairies: their clans’ supernatural relationship is easier to understand in that they both have ties to nature. It’s a more tangible concept - how does the environment exist without the earth? Flora without fauna? And when do we ever see fairies and giants going toe-to-toe?
We see the Giant and Fairy clans join with Diane and King’s marriage. I’m going to dig for meaning and propose that this restored a balance between them that was always meant to be. That, in the same way that Elizabeth and Meliodas met and bonded soul-to-soul, their souls’ union was able to restore an ancient and necessary balance to their own clans. Elizabeth and Meliodas brought the end to an eternal war. I’m gonna say that King and Diane brought an end to an unnatural silence. An absence of a relationship, to parallel the absence of a supernatural union between light and dark, life and death, which, arguably should coexist without a third force (supernatural racism, the goddesses’ genocide agenda, etc.) attempting to eliminate one from existence.
Drole and Gloxinia’s relationship in canon has mysterious origins. A lot of us seem to be shipping them, and I don’t think they’re wrong from a narrative perspective. Remember the giants’ connection to the earth and the faries’ connection to nature. It makes sense that their clans should have some kind of relationship, instead of not interacting at all. Love between them, whether romantic or platonic, could represent the same thing. I hypothesize that fairies and giants were always close (not necessarily physically!) in ancient times until the Holy War, and upon seeing the devastation and unnecessary death they “split” in order to prevent history from repeating. An angst disagreement, or a solemn and silent withdrawal. Giants, continuing on as some of the greatest warriors in Britannia, overemphasizing it in the hope their strength will continue to protect them and bring them honor and courage. Fairies, isolating themselves from all other interactions, neglecting their warrior skills to the point where they become as they are in nnt, relying on their king to do everything for them and “discarding their honor” in terms of their powers. Unhealthy war, unhealthy peace.
I propose that the rifts caused by the Holy War are what sapped the magic from Britannia. When the goddesses and demons lose the ability to interact with the world “in-between” them, the magic drains. Etc. Humans, the “odd one out,” adapted. For fun, I think there should be some natural disasters thrown into the mix every now and again, as well as other phenomena which I will describe later. What happens when the ropes on all four sides, holding together the supernatural balance of reality, snap? This whole thing is inspired somewhat by the idea that in a fantasy realm, there is one more sphere of health you have to keep track of. It’s physical health, mental health, and magical health. Neglect your mental health? Uh oh! Neglect your magical health? UH OH. I think that if you’re not in touch with yourself and your powers, well, there are consequences. And something like that on a larger scale is happening to Britannia with two (?) upset balances.
Thoughts? :D
