The most unfair moment in Gen Z autistic child history is when we all loved Zane because he was ✨hashtag relatable✨

And he turned out to be a fucking robot.

We played ourselves.

"Kai is not selfish, he is selfless". That's what my friend once said.

There were often phrases from other characters in the series that poked at Kai's selfish nature (which I've never seen?). Poked at the most unnecessary moment... "First you wanted to be the green ninja, now this. When will you start thinking of something other than yourself?" when Zane died. I'm still sure that Kai thought it would be better to lose him rather than the nindroid, but he was misunderstood. "You're just worried about yourself" when Lloyd almost died, but there were huge risks of losing all of their powers and then the whole of Ninjago. I noticed that all this shit follows him literally the entire series, almost right up to season 2 of dragon rising. It seems to me that only Zane didn't call him selfish (that's why I drew him standing aside with his hands down-). And what did everyone get for it? Kai regularly risked his life to save his teammates. They didn't get a bad response, but only "close the gate, don't worry about me."

Damn, even when Kai felt love and affection from his parents for the first time in many years... The only thing Nya said was, "I bet he loves being treated like a baby." Girl...

I'm sure that words don't go away without a trace. Perhaps they haunt him like some kind of ghosts of those who said this.

I want to talk about it, I want to remind you about it.

Oooh I finally got around to season 8 of ninjago and I am. Not happy with this Zane

Overheated

Zane started acting strange as soon as they got back to the monastery.

I mean, of course he did, he just had his powers stolen.

The ninja were fighting some freaky new villain— a serpentine sorcerer that called herself Aspheera. She seemed to like Kai’s fire, and threatened to take his elemental power.

But Zane. Stupid, self-sacrificing Zane. Despite how smart he was, when it came to his brothers, his feet were always faster than his brain.

The nindroid shoved Kai out of the way and took the blast himself.

Kai never heard Zane scream like that before. Inhuman, mechanical, more like radio feedback than a scream. Kai had lost his powers before, but not like this. Not pulled from every molecule in your body like teeth ripped from the jaw.

Desperately, the ninja tried to fight Aspheera, to reach her staff, to make her mess up the spell somehow—but she simply knocked them all out of the way.

With a flash of light it was done, and Zane’s body fell to the floor with a sickening crunch.

The Witch escaped, leaving the Ninja to deal with a collapsing pyramid. They hauled Zane’s body out, and somehow, somehow, made it back to the monastery alive.

Zane had woken up by then, and immediately set about trying to catch Aspheera.

“Dude, you sure you’re okay? You just lost your powers,” Jay put a concerned hand on the nindroid’s shoulder.

Zane brushed Jay’s hand away. “I am fine. My systems are… adapting. Right now, our priority is Aspheera.”

“Adapting? You just got wrecked out there!” Cole interjected. “We need to run diagnostics or something before you—”

“There is no time,” Zane snapped, his voice colder than usual, even for him. “Aspheera has a head start. We cannot waste it.”

Kai piped up from the corner, arms crossed. He was still rattled, the image of Zane’s body hitting the floor replaying in his mind. “We’re not saying sit around forever, but we have no idea what Aspheera just did to you. At least let Pixal take a look.”

Zane hesitated. “My systems are stable,” he said, sterner this time. “And Pixal is currently on patrol. Please, I am not the priority right now. Aspheera is loose, and Ninjago is in danger.”

The nindroid pushed past them, heading toward the monastery’s control room. Kai reached out to stop him, but dropped his hand when he saw Zane stumble slightly. Ever so slightly. Just a little shift in his step, but it was enough.

“Zane?”

“I am fine.” He looked over his shoulder with a reassuring smile.

But over the next few hours, fine became harder to believe.

As they combed through maps and reports, Zane’s movements grew slower, his usually precise calculations punctuated with pauses. Once or twice, Kai caught him holding onto the table for balance, his fingers digging into the edge like it was the only thing keeping him upright.

As the hours passed, the other Ninja took breaks. For food, for sleep. Things normal humans need to function properly.

But Zane insisted he didn’t need these things. He continued working long into the night. He couldn’t be coaxed away from his work no matter what his brothers tried.

Jay came in around midnight with a blanket wrapped around his shoulders. He had another tucked under his arm.

“Heyyyyy big guy…” He smiled as he crossed the room. “You sure you don’t need a break? You’ve been working harder than the rest of us combined.”

“I’m alright,” Zane replied, his voice steady but… off. It wasn’t his usual calm; there was something hollow to it, something too restrained. “We must prioritize recovering the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu before Aspheera uses it again.”

Jay frowned. “Right, but maybe you should, y’know, recharge or something first? You’re looking kinda—” he hesitated, searching for the least offensive word, “—dim.”

Zane stood and turned to Jay. “I assure you, I am functional. Aspheera will not get away with this.”

Jay unraveled the blanket, trying to wrap it around Zane. “I get it, but I just thought it’d be better if you—“

“I said I’m fine!” Zane interrupted, his voice rising—an edge of static creeping into his tone. Jay froze. Zane didn’t shout. Ever.

“My apologies,” He quickly recovered. “I-I didn’t mean to—“

“Zane, are you okay?” Jay looked at him hard, like he was looking behind his eyes for the truth.

The nindroid opened his mouth to respond, but the words caught in his throat. He swayed, his eyes flickering.

“Zane?”

“It’s nothi—“ The words died as he suddenly pitched forward.

“Whoa!” Jay lunged forward, catching Zane’s arm as he faltered.

Zane’s skin was roasting. The hot metal burned Jay’s hands the second it made contact. He yelped, and dropped Zane to the floor.

“OhmygodZaneI’msosorry,“ The blue ninja panicked. “Also WHAT the hell, you’re burning up!”

“I’m… alright,” Zane repeated, though his voice was weaker now, tinged with distortion. “You didn’t hurt me. I just need to—I just… need to rest for a moment…”

“You’re overheating! I didn’t know you could overheat! Dude, why didn’t you say anything?”

Zane blinked, his eyes flickering again. Normally Jay couldn’t see him breathe, but now the nindroid’s chest was heaving, his breath hot against Jay’s skin.

“I can’t—not now—“

“You idiot…” Jay pulled Zane into his lap, gritting his teeth against the heat radiating from the nindroid’s body. “Guys! I need help! It’s Zane!”

The sound of rapid footsteps filled the monastery as the other ninja burst into the control room.

“What happened?” Nya skidded into the room, followed by Cole and Lloyd.

Kai was the last to reach them. His face fell at the sight of his brother—always so composed, so strong—reduced to this. “I told you we needed to check him out! He hasn’t been fine this whole time!”

“I’m just—just tired,” Zane muttered weakly, his words skipping like a scratched recording. “Please—do not—overreact.”

“Overreact?” Jay snapped, his fear bubbling into anger. “You’re practically melting down! Pixal should’ve been here hours ago! We should’ve…”

“I can—still function,” Zane protested, trying and failing to sit up. Sparks flared at his joints as his body started shaking uncontrollably. “Agh!“

“Stop!” Kai shouted, pushing Zane back down. “You’re gonna fry your circuits if you don’t cool down!”

“Cooling systems… insufficient,” Zane admitted with a grimace. “My elemental p-power was my—my cooling system.”

“Then why didn’t you say anything?!” Kai’s blood boiled. “You can’t keep doing this—pushing yourself like this and acting like it doesn’t matter—that you don’t matter!”

Zane didn’t respond, his flickering eyes searching Kai’s face. A small whine escaped his throat. He looked away.

Nya broke the silence, running a hand through her untied hair. “Okay, okay, uh, we need to do something now! Ice! We need ice—he’s literally overheating, right? That’s how this works?”

“Kitchen freezer, grab everything,” Cole ordered, already moving toward the door. “Kai, help me find the coolant packs Pixal stashed for emergencies!”

Jay stayed behind, cradling Zane’s head as the nindroid’s body trembled. His fear softened into something gentler as he leaned closer. “Hey, buddy, you’re not going anywhere, alright? We’ve got you. Just… hang on.”

Zane’s words were barely audible now. “I- did not—didn’t want—to slow us down…”

Jay shook his head, a lump forming in his throat. “You’re not slowing us down, Zane. You’re one of us. You don’t have to do this alone.”

Zane’s faint smile flickered like a dying lightbulb. “I will… try to remember that.”

Hc that Zane actually runs very hot naturally. Like how a computer gets overheated really easily, I feel like all those motors and especially that big ol’ brain would get super toasty really fast. His Ice power is probably the only thing keeping him from melting down constantly.

I also feel like that’s why Echo Zane never really worked properly, cause he didn’t have an advanced enough cooling system to keep himself running for extended periods. (disabled Echo hcs anyone?)

Icebound

icebound definition: surrounded, obstructed, or covered by ice.

In which Zane uses his element against the Overlord to save the city and his friends. Because it wasn’t about numbers, it was about family.

It is the end, and Zane knows it.

The Overlord is conquering Ninjago City, webs of gold stringing across buildings like Christmas lights and tying up his friends like flies. They struggle, but it is useless under the might of the Overlord.

Zane flips out of the way of a golden band reaching to ensnare him and lands on a roof. All of his friends are tied up, and only Zane is free. He knows what he has to do. He is the only one who can.

“Support me, friends. For one last time.”

He takes a running leap off the ledge, and Jay flips midair so his feet plant squarely on top of his. Then Cole, Lloyd, Kai, Sensei Garmadon, and Wu.

He soars, flying straight at the Overlord, and grabs onto his golden fangs.

Immediately, he feels its power, and its agony. Pain rips into every crevice of his body; his jolts rattle and shake and his wires spark under his skin.

“Let my friends go!” Zane shouts.

“Go where, Doomed Ninja?” The Overlord sneers. Its eyes, red and hateful, glare into him.

Zane writhes under the immense pain and power. His body cannot handle it, he knows, and he feels himself falling apart under it.

“The Golden Weapons are too powerful for you to behold. Your survival chance is low.”

But Zane isn’t trying to hold them. He’s trying to destroy them.

He thinks of his brothers. He thinks of PIXAL. He thinks of his father. He thinks of an old man with long white hair as pure as snow and ice blue eyes that visited him a long time ago, who had come and left as quickly as winter did and had breathed that power into him because he saw him worthy of it.

“This … isn’t about numbers … It's about family!”

The golden webs holding the Ninja fall and they escape. He can hear them screaming, telling him to let go, and he thanks them for that. Wu and Garmadon grab onto them and yank them back, away from the oncoming destruction.

His core — his heart — started reaching critical mass. Frost began creeping upon the Overlord’s fangs. Something blue and blinding in his heart freezes under his power, and Zane embraces it. It's his power. His choice.

“I am a Nindroid. And Ninja never quit. Go Ninja … go!”

He is the Master of Ice. He was built to protect those who cannot protect themselves. He stands for peace, freedom, and courage in the face of all who threaten Ninjago.

Frostbite burns his skin away; jolt and wires freeze under the cold; until he is left completely bare.

The last glimpse they get of Zane is him surrounded by a blizzard of his own making, bright and beautiful like a supernova. Burning blue and white with the terrible brilliance of his own determined choice.

Zane died; not as a machine, not as a human, not as a tool of anyone or anything — but as himself. Zane died to save the ones he loves.

And woke up as something completely different.

PIXAL climbs her way up the steep cliff side, careful to place her foot in secure crevices in case she slipped and fell from the icy mountain. Heavy snow blinded her vision as the blizzard whipped around her, but she kept her pace steady and sure.

It had been months since she had left Ninjago City and began her search. Months since Zane’s death and memorial. PIXAL knew, logically, that she should be back there, properly mourning him. But she could not.

He had never given up on her, not when she was under the Overlord’s control or when she was struggling with the newness of emotions.

And that meant she could never give up on him.

When she had first met Zane, she became more than a machine meant to function. He was vital to her, and she was a part of him.

She carried half his heart, and against all logical explanations, she knew he was still alive.

She did not tell the Ninja of her suspicions: the immediate aftermath of Zane’s loss had been devastating. She’d watched as the team fractured, splitting at the seams as they all fled their separate ways, too heartsore and dizzy with grief to do much otherwise. She did not tell Cyrus Borg where she was going either, for she knew if he begged her to stay, she would.

If she had told them she had seen a snowy wraith emerge from the destruction of the frozen, apocalyptic atmosphere on the rooftop, she would have been told she had imagined it due to her grief.

And while she was grieving, she was not imagining it. She is a Nindroid, and she did not have an imagination. PIXAL was built to observe, to analyze, to collect data and gather information. She built theories and hypothesized, not assumed.

So she followed the signs. She kept track of all weather anomalies that happened across Ninjago — sudden snowstorms, cold drops in temperatures that swept through small villages and towns. It led her all across the country until it ended here, with her climbing up the frozen, snow-peaked mountain.

Finally, PIXAL arrived at her destination.

The Ice Temple.

Slowly, she makes her way towards it. Her sensors indicate the temperature dropping the closer she gets. For a normal human, they would have already gotten frostbite without the proper equipment and numb with it, but PIXAL was made of metal. The cold did not bother her.

She peers into the glacial architecture, but does not enter. Or more like, she is unable to. It feels as if there is some sort of force of winter that is keeping her at bay.

“Zane?” Hope finds its way into the desperation of her voice. Freezing winds whip her hair out of its ponytail and against the purple circuits on her cheeks, but she barely notices. “Is that you?”

There’s nothing except for the howling wind, then her eyes catch movement. Slowly, almost like a ghost, a figure starts to come closer, making a shape against the blizzard.

If PIXAL had lungs, all the air would have rushed out of them.

A being made of pure winter floated in front of her. Formed of ice and frost and molded by the wind, it stood there and looked at her. Opaque ice carved the face that has been imprinted in her memory drives, the one she had traveled across the entire world to see again.

It was frozen, and beautiful, and Zane.

Inside her neural drive, alarms were blaring into her system, flashing behind her eyes. Warning: Severe weather alert. Temperature reaching sub-zero levels. Retreat into a warmer climate —

PIXAL shut off the notifications.

“Hello,” she says. Zane does not move. She dares a step closer. “Do you recognize me?”

He says nothing, so PIXAL continues on. It feels like their roles were reversed when they first met: she, the one struck speechless by the other’s beauty. Him, stoic to it all.

“I’m PIXAL, the Primary Interactive X-ternal Assistant Lifeform. I’m a … friend. I came searching for you to bring you home. There are things about you that you don’t understand. That you have yet to discover. I am here to help you remember.”

Zane is quiet, but she senses that he is listening. Something glowing in her chest aches.

“It is alright if you don’t remember me,” PIXAL says. She cannot cry, but is she would she could. She is still new to emotions, and many are overwhelming her: joy and grief and something fierce and pure deep in her heart. “I remember you. And we are still compatible.”

Zane tilts his head and drifts closer. The snow slows its fall, the wind stopping altogether. Snowflakes gently coat her hair. Now that he is closer, she can see the differences that make him unlike the old Zane: he doesn’t have the one dimple on the right side of his cheek, or the small beauty mark on his collarbone, or the tiny scar on his index finger from his shuriken.

But he is still Zane, even as an icy spirit.

She held out a hand. “Your brothers miss you very much. Will you come back with me, Zane?”

He is silent, staring at her. Unlike before, it is impossible to know what he is thinking. She gazes up at him, imploring. His eyes have no irises or pupils, so she is simply staring up at pinpricks of pure blue light.

Slowly, his hand reaches out of her.

BANG!

A loud sound echoes across the ice, and out of nowhere chains of Vengestone come flying out and capture him.

Fear slams into her. “Zane!” PIXAL cries.

Ice races out from his body and across the chains as Zane struggles, but no matter what, he can’t break them.

PIXAL whips around to face the assailant.

A man in his thirties, wrapped in a thick parka to prevent the cold and wearing a red mask. He has shoulder-length brown hair and is wearing a dyed red straw hat, and under it she can see he is hiding an eyepatch.

“What are you doing?” PIXAL shouts. Anger — an emotion she rarely feels — burns through her.

The man lowers his gun and pulls out another one before she can even blink.

“Sorry, sweetheart. Just following orders.”

Before she can question what that means, he fires. A net tangles her limbs together and brings her down against the cold snow. Before she can fight against it, electricity courses through her.

And then everything went black.

Hey guys it been a while but I’m back with some ninjago content wooo!!

Lloyd

I think you guys would be a enemies to lovers. He was cautious of you at first until he started warming up to you then he became your bestie.

When he realised he like you my boy was shyyyy. But he kept it in the inside and pretended to be more tuff for you. But sometimes he would get distracted and completely lose his tuff boy persona. Things like little touches here and there. Such as you both grazed hands or you fall and he catches you.

Buddy is blushinggg- Of course he doesn’t tell the rest of the ninja but he does drop hints here and there for advice.

“Hey Im asking for a friend- how do you flirt with a girl you kinda sorta like?”

The team is sus and deffo teases him on it a lot. So every but you know.

Once you two tie the not he is clingy. Cause his parents never hugged him enough (wow that was fowl of me-)

He always touches you in some way. Like either your holding hands, his arm is around you, etc.

He will only fully trust you with his deep past (if you don’t know it by then) later on in the relationship in fear that you will leave him.

When you don’t?- man had to restrain himself from both crying and proposing then and there.

Over all he is clingy and need affirmation that you love him cause of his extreme trust issues🫶

Cole

I feel like he is the type to not stress to much over crushing on you but at the same time. If anything goes wrong then it’s the end of the world.

The type to be like “Psh it’s not that hard. Your just having a normal conversation with your crush.” But when it happens he is all like “AHH I HOPE MY BREATH DONT STINK. DID I PUT ON MY SPECIAL COLON ON TODAY??”

He confesses to you with a burnt cupcake. He tried his best okay?? Leave the poor guy alone >:|

When you guys date he is definitely more layed back and comfortable around you. He trusts you more and you know he likes you so there’s no need to worry.

He honestly seems like that classic jockey bf minus the masoginistic mindest. He is actually a heavy feminist I believe.

But he is supper proud to show you off. Every chance he gets he talks about you. Man is not afraid to show off his amazingly beautiful partner.

Lou loves you. He actually books you and Cole private seat tickets whenever he has a show and you guys are in town for it.

Overall he is a loving chilled back man that is just so inlove with you.

Zane

He is an nindroid and naturally he always knows what’s wrong with him. But for some reason whenever he us around you his circuits combust. He had an idea of what he had but how could a android such as himself possibly have.. fallen in love with you?

It takes him a while to actually understand the full extent on his feelings towards you bc you are his first. But once he does he really doesn’t change his demeanour around you. It’s not like it changes anything it’s just a subconscious thing that he knows he likes you.

He will give you little gifts tho. And always help you out with anything that involves artificial intelligence.

When you two confessed he kissed you out of nowhere leaving you a flustered mess. It went down like this:

“What the?? Zane!! You can’t kiss someone out of nowhere! You caught me off guard..”

“But is it not true that I like you and you like me so that makes us a couple? And don’t couples kiss?”

“Yes but no. I’m gonna need to sit down and explain to you how timing works aren’t I?-“

After a bit he learned more about relationships and such. He still is lost here and there but he has the hang of it down. He is quite similar to Cole and is not very concerned about your relationship. Not that he doesn’t love you. It’s just a casual thing for him.

He makes a date for you two to try your best at hard or homey recipes to test both his cooking skills but also your knowledge on food as a whole. It’s a nice bonding thing you two do.

But over all he is a non chalant protective boyfriend that is just a little confused but has the spirit anyway!

Jay

When he starts liking you it’s obvious to everyone including you. He stutters and always blurts out complements not realising you hear them. He is always nervous and sweaty and he fidgets with his hands and is a complete mess for you.

He is a blabber mouth whenever he has the chance to bring you up. And he always sighs dreamily after as if he was a Disney princess or smth.

When you two confess he was loosing it. Like man was ready to pull out his hairs from nervousness. Luckily thanks to you he was much more calmed down after.

When you two date he is at your service at you command. Anything and everything if it’s possible he will give to you if you simply ask him. He will go out his way to show you how special you are to him and how much he loves you.

If you thought lloyd was clingy? He is NEXT LEVEL! Man is literally a koala. Unless on missions he will spontaneously combust without being with you.

His parents absolutely adore you. They love you so much you may as well have been their own daughter. They always ask Jay to bring you around for lunch or something just to see you again.

Over all He is a lovey dovey boyfriend who absolutely is yours till the rest do time even if god truck him down. So he’s a huge simp.

Ever since Crystalized came out, there's been this theory circulating that the reason the Overlord somehow managed to manifest crystal power seemingly out of nowhere and with no explanation (at least, none that I can find/remember), is because his fight with Zane affected his power in some way.

The main evidence for this is that:

Zane was the last person to fight the Overlord

Ice is technically a crystalline structure, depending on how it's formed, and Zane is the master of ice

When Harumi was first resurrected, she found the Overlord's spirit imbued into a purple crystal

As evidenced by past seasons, the Overlord's power seems to be influenced by his circumstances and environment in the wake of his last defeat. During Rebooted, a tech center was built over his resting place, and he ended up taking on the abilities and limitations of a computer virus. And in this case, the theory suggests that the Overlord's power was then influenced again by all the ice surrounding him as Zane destroyed both of their physical forms.

This does, to some extent, seem to fall in line with everything else we know about the Overlord. The Overlord is a being of shadow and darkness, and the shape of a shadow will always be influenced by the light around it. (And if we want to get into the theory that the Overlord was created as a result of the FSM trying to purge the oni blood from his veins, then you could even bring up the fact that the oni are shapeshifters sooo).

Now, I'll be the first to admit that this theory is ultimately pretty circumstantial, and there's nothing in canon to point to it being explicitly true. BUT, the cool thing about this theory is that it does also retroactively solve another big fandom mystery: that is, it explains how Zane survived his fight with the Overlord.

Let me explain.

When Zane came back to life after his fight with the Digital Overlord, while it was never outright explained how he did so, it was implied that he came back the same way the Overlord had: by spiritually manifesting within the systems at Borg Tower - specifically, the Digiverse. But that doesn't really answer the question, does it?

Like, the Overlord coming back as a spiritual manifestation makes sense. He's a regenerative being, an immortal abstraction of all the evil in the world. And Zane, as far as we know, is very much not that. So what could have happened to cause Zane, a nindroid, to end up being resurrected in the same way as the god of darkness? Why did he come back to life, instead of passing onto the afterlife? Even Lloyd, the special-est boy in all Ninjago, made a quick visit to the Departed Realm and only came back because the FSM said he could.

And true, it's certainly possible that Zane had a similar encounter with the FSM. Or that his power source is responsible for his resurrection, and just as we may never know how his power source works he may also never know how it brought him back to life. Those are all very possible solutions, and you're welcome to just accept those ideas and move one.

But if you're like me and you don't find those answers particularly satisfying, here's another possibility:

Just as Zane's power has influenced the Overlord, the Overlord's power has influenced Zane. In the explosion of Golden Power that caused both of them to be destroyed in unison, their souls became intertwined. So yes, Zane was meant to die. And judging by his account of the situation in Decoded, he did die. And maybe a peaceful afterlife was well within arm's reach, maybe he was just about to grab the FSM's hand...but then something pulled him back. His soul, chained to the Overlord's dark power, dragged him to the land of the living once more.

And if you really want to get into it, then you could even theorize that this connection ended up influencing Zane's power as well. During the Ice Chapter he was capable of turning people into ice samurai zombie-things kept under his control, as well as creating ice constructs like Boreal. These are not abilities that have been established in the ice power-set, nor are they logical powers for an ice elemental to have. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but the Forbidden Scroll doesn't give you new powers, it just enhances and turbo-boosts what you already have. Which is why it did nothing when Kai held it, as his power had been stolen from him at the time.

(Now before you ask why Pixal could use the Scroll despite seeminlgy not having any powers, there are very subtle implications that she had developed a very, very minor sixth sense due to her inheriting some of Zane's power. If anyone wants me to explain that in greater detail, I'd be more than happy to.)

And yes, Aspheera is also capable of creating elemental zombie/mummy things and other such constructs, but she did all that before she found the Scroll. This is a power-set she had by virtue of her being a powerful sorcerer, not something granted by wielding the Scroll.

And yet somehow, the Scroll did seem to give Zane these powers. Powers that so far have only been exhibited by two people in the series: Aspheera, and the Overlord. So if we submit to the theory that Zane and the Overlord's fight have caused their powers to mix a little, and the Scroll magnifies your power....well, it suddenly becomes very possible that the Scroll amplified some of the dark energy he inherited from the Overlord and awakened some of the Ice Emperor's more unique abilities.

And if that's true, then that really just kinda makes the whole Ice Emperor sting that much more. All of the good things Zane has done, all of his biggest sacrifices, all led to this moment. To him becoming the Ice Emperor.

I dunno. It's just something to think about.

How would they react to their partner being insulted by the enemy in the middle of a battle? {Ninjago Addition}

~ Lloyd Garmadon ~ {Harumi}

"Your so-called lover happens to be weak and... not much of help, can't we say?" Harumi says with a snarky grin, Lloyd stood grinding his teeth.

He tried to stay calm for the longest as he could, taking a deep breath as the facade cracked, and he lounged at her. Showing the little mercy he had left in him as the ninja he so proudly called himself.

Ways of simply saying it, he could never allow his anyone to talk down the once he cares about, no matter who said it.

~ Kai Smith ~ {Aspheera}

"You've both sssshowned sssuch little ssstrength, even the one without powersss won't reach anywhere in life" She laughed at Kai, finding the both of them weak. His eyes paired red with rage, raging into an aggressive battle of almost death and living.

When someone Nya any words, he gets overprotective but knows she can handle herself, but since his partner does not have this power, his overprotectiveness reaching a new limit none of them knew he had.

~ Jay Walker ~ {Nadakhan}

"They can not do anything right." He told Jay when his partner had been knocked out from Nadakhan himself. His hands became more electrifyingly warm before his attacks became unhumanly fast, as lightning some might say.

Never in his Jay's life would he let someone just simply get away with being negative, his hair even standing up at some point as if he was struck by lightning. It showed how he felt upset without saying so.

~ Cole Brookstone ~ {Vangelis}

We know all know how Cole got his like extra cool power upgrade in his season, yeah? Well, this extra salt in the wound by Vangelis's words made him only crack faster to uphold his potential. "Pathetic being of a human, absolutely astonishing how weak." was screeched by the butcher version of a King to the ninjas lover.

Having already lost someone important to whom he had no control over, feeling so absolutely lost and vulnerable. Clenched hands with a scowl resting on his features, this would definitely not slide by his side.

~ Zane Julian ~ {Nindroids}

"Haha! That was just sad to watch. Even a toddler is more capable of a simple task." The nindroids hollared to themselves. Never once had he felt truly upset for the first time when it had been with you.

Not because of you but rather what someone had told you, yet he lost his cabels and wiring over his own limit. With the collected nindroid, he is. Freezing every last one of them.

~ Nya Smith ~ {Kalamaar}

Gosh, she adored you as a lover she is. Rather, not surprised when seeing her rather aggressive movements with the sushi look alike strutting around on his tentacles as he talked as if his words meant anything. "Such awful attempts of helping go back to helping the other fishes. At least then you could maybe do something right." He spat.

She stood fiurius, uneasy breathing as she stood up against him. Similarly to Kai, she lost her senses and went to attacking him until someone held her back.

Quest of The Lost Powers (Zane)

Chapter 1:

“Zane, please hold still,” PIXAL said in a patient voice.

“I am holding still,” Zane protested.

“No, you are not,” PIXAL countered, “Now, I just have one more sensor to attach to your circuits…”

PIXAL and Zane were busy in the Samurai X cave, located deep beneath the Sea of Sand. They had retreated to Nya’s old hideout after their underground hangar bay became buried in the rubble of the Monestary of Spinjitzu during the assault of the Crystal King

Filled with computers, vehicles, and parts to build mechs, PIXAL had found the alternate space to be very useful. In the weeks since the ninja had lost their elemental powers, the android had dedicated herself to finding a way to help Zane restore his power of Ice.

Zane’s journey to become the Titanium Ninja contained many twists and turns. This extraordinary Nindroid was created by the brillian Dr. Julien and then given the power of Ice from the Elemental Ice Master. Yet, before he passed away, Dr. Julien, had turned off Zane’s memory switch. Believing, he was just an ordinary boy, Master Wu took in the nindroid and trained him to be a ninja alongside Kai, Cole, and Jay.

Zane regained the memory of who he was, but as the ninja faced ever-growing challenges, his memories came and went. He was nearly destroyed during a battle with the Overlord, and then reborn again as the Titanium Ninja. PIXAL had helped him regain his memories then.

Later, when Zane had used the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu to try and stop Aspheera, he became stranded in the Never-Realm. The evil General Vex had found him and erased his memories, manipulating him so that he became the cruel Ice Emperor. Then Lloyd had helped Zane regain his true identity. And recently, when the Crystal King had set his forces on Ninjago, Zane had crashed his mech and damaged his memory circuit. He reverted back to his Ice Emperor programming (programming???), and this time, it took the brilliant engineer Cyrus Borg to repair him.

PIXAL believed that the key to Zane’s recovering of is power of Ice was connected to exploring these fractured memories.

“We must look for clues,” she had said, “And I believe those clues can be found within you.”

Zane had complete trust in his android friend (friend zoned??? PIXANE??? Noooooo), because PIXAL understood him better than anyone else. But the idea of exploring his memories made him uneasy. Some lost memories felt like an ache deep within him. And he would rather not think about some of the things he could remember.

He twitched nervously in his chair as PIXAL inserted a sensor into a port in the back of his head.

“These sensors are critical to your journey,” she explained in her calm, steady voice. “They will immerse you in your memories so you can experience them as though you are actually there.” Zane twitched again. “And the others in the memory will be able to see or hear me?”

“No,” PIXAL replied, “You will be an observer only. Now keep still.”

She stepped in front of him and moved to the bank of computer screens. They cast a blue glow on her silver hair and the purple conduit lines on her face.

“It will be interesting to see if this technology can restore your Elemental Powers,” she remarked as she entered a code into the system, “I am working on a way to adapt the tech to work with biological memory banks, perhaps helping the other ninja regain their powers.”

“I am sure they are all searching for a way to unlock their True Potential again,” Zane replied, “Although it is rather odd that I have not heard from any of them.”

PIXAL spun around in her chair and fixed her green eyes on Zane.

“For this first session, I will bring you out of the program in four minutes and thirty seconds,” she said, “If something goes wrong, or you want to leave the memory, just say something.”

“If something goes wrong…,” he thought. An image of the Ice Emperor’s face, cold and fierce, flashed through his mind

“Understood,” Zane replied.

“Are you ready?” PIXAL asked.

“Ready.”

PIXAL turned back to the computer, “Initiating memory exploration in three… two… one!”

Morro and Cryptor in the movieverse, in my style? More likely than you think:

My first ever take on the movieverse and it’s designs and it had to be this underrated duo.

Scenario: Morro and Cryptor have geography class together, and they’re both four days into their first week of school. Having barely shared two words with each other, let alone anyone else in the school, the two are paired up for a project. To make a volcano. Despite the two judging each other heavily, not getting along at all, constantly arguing and butting heads, they both rushed into the classroom covered in paint, paper, tissue, cardboard, and pearls. And then the entire class was covered in ketchup after the volcano accidentally blew up. They got a d- and got put in detention. From that day on they were known as horrible a*sholes you should never be around, unless they try to murder you.

In reality they would only try murder each other and are actually awkward teens with everyone else.

Ain’t got much for Morro’s story in this verse other than the fact that instead of running away he was sent over to train and learn under Mystake, only for her and Wu to realise he has no social life at 17 and so they send him back to Ninjago city to go to high school for the first time.

But Cryptor in this AU’s got a bit. Cryptor is a scrapped version of the Nindroid sentries that protect Borg tower. After Pixal, Borg wished to create Nindroids who could protect him and his tower from danger, and Cryptor was one of his prototypes. Cryptor was not supposed to have a consciousness, but as the only Nindroid sentry prototype that was based off of both Pixal’s code and Zane’s design, he came to life. After waking up seemingly abandoned in a scrap yard Cryptor runs off feeling betrayed and angry. Eventually, he gets taken in by this world’s overlord. Not entirely sure how he works in this universe yet so all he is rn is Cryptor’s rlly bad guardian who updated his design to what it is now.

After some drama yada yada, Cryptor joins the school as the only openly known Nindroid. He and Morro joins at the same time and do not get along, yet they only ever hang out with each other because villains who were generals of armies in another life just kinda click.

Willll probably add more to this explanation and maybe photos of the sketches and such later when it’s not 6am and i can see the sun rising. Oh also the background was not made by me it’s a free to use photo on Ibispaint X.

Lets yap about Geode and why it's practically canon!

Okay I've been wanting to write this for a while but never had time to. However, winter break just started! I should be working on some unfinished school work but I don't care about school. So here it goes! This is basically why Geode (Cole x Geo) is canon/will be canon.

So first, I wanted to talk about how Cole never really had an actual love interest up until now. Sure, in season 3, there was the stupid love triangle thing with him, Jay, and Nya, but it was confirmed by the writers that Cole never really had feelings for Nya and was just confused by the attention she gave to him. I'd also like to assume that P.I.X.A.L's perfect match detector thing also threw him off. (I'm just gonna call her Pixal for the remainder of this, yes she'll be mentioned again)

He also never had much of a romantic relationship with Vania. Sure, they were close and had a great friendship together, but that's where it ends, just a friendship. They never really did anything more. And when it comes to Ninjago, they make the love interest very obvious.

The writers are also very aware that they haven't given Cole a love interest. They make subtle jokes about it, like in this scene. While the ninja are hanging out with their significant other (expect for Lloyd who had a love interest but uh... we saw what happened the Harumi...) except for Cole. He's instead looking at the cake that the woman is holding up. The writers of the show also have said that his love interest is cake as a joke, so they're aware that they haven't given him a love interest yet.

They also once posted this on the Lego.com website as a poll. This might be far fetched but to me it implies that there might be someone else in the future that will be Cole's lover. I know that it says girlfriend but it doesn't mean that the someone Cole is yet to meet can't be a guy. Maybe Cole is a bisexual too we can't take that completely off the table either.

Now, let's talk about the actual ship of Geo × Cole. Geo is not as social as the other and is more timid. He keeps more to himself. However, with Cole, he's an open book. He raised a whole family with him. They're also rather close. Cole has never been that close to anyone other than the other ninja, and even so, it still took him a while to get used to them. So him being so close to Geo as fast as he did is quite attached to Geo. And if that isn't gay then I don't know what it is.

Now this is the part where I talk about my personal favorite and probably one of the most canon ships ever in Ninjago, PixZane. (Pixal x Zane, told you I was gonna mention Pixal again 😉) It is very obvious that they love each other and is canon that they're dating. So, why did I mention them? Well, they never explicitly say, "We're dating." Instead they say that they're "compatible." Zane also says that she has "Half of my (his) heart" Which all of those are all just says of saying that they're in love and dating. Also they both have a strong attachment together. I mean, Zane is desperate for Pixal in Dragons Rising, and in the comic, Zane's Pixal Project, he's so desperate for her and is willing is sacrifice himself for her. In fact, Pixal only says, "I love you." In Crystalized. Took them only 8 years to finally hear something less nindroid-y but that just proves my point more. Yeah, with all of that plus the stuff I didn't mention, they're dating at least.

So why did I mention all of this? Well, a common rule for story writing is, "Show, don't tell." Very common in real life to, like phrases like, "Your actions speak more that your words." So they would apply that rule to a ship like Geode. I mean, the hints are very loud, yet sneaky in a way. Enough for me to apply the gay label but not enough for someone to say it's 100% without a doubt canon.

I'd also like to say that the writers of the show hype up and imply this ship more than a little. One of the writers of Ninjago posted this on his Instagram. The writer is also gay so that's some extra points. (I got it from here.) Also I just realized that the little effect thing around their hands make a heart, so I'll add that to the evidence list. Also this clip, Doc Wyatt seems to support the ship. So I'm pretty sure the writers are planning something big for them, maybe... a kiss? Who knows?

Now, in the end, it is a gay ship, so they have to be much more vivid about it or else the show could get banned in certain places around the world if they do make it canon. However, other cartoons do have canon LGBTQ+ representation that's more prominent. (Ex. The Loud House - Clyde's dads (Howard and Harold McBride) + Luna is a bisexual, Adventure Time - Princess Bubblegum and Marceline) Plus, there is some LGBTQ+ throughout the show which I talk about more here. (Shameless plugging XD) So it wouldn't be out of character for Ninjago add a gay ship in the series. Not only will it give them more open doors since it shows how they're willing to add queer relationships into the show, so they might add some more queer relationships. It would also make Cole the first canon LGBTQ+ ninja of the main 6.

Okay, well I think that's about all I have to say about the most gay characters in Ninjago. Also thank you for all the likes + reblogs on my queer Ninjago post, I like yapping about this show clearly, especially the queer part cause I'm part of the LGBTQ+ community so I might as well spread my pride. I literally love Geode so much please make it canon in my life.

I've had the urge to do something for the Ninjago Movie, specifically a crossover with the show. Since I drew them in comparison to one another twice before I wanted to do it again before I even start writing anything. I posted something about it here.

And because I wanted to, movie designs for Pixal, Echo and Morro. Here some ideas:

Morro is Lloyds older cousin and just left to go to college. He used to train the ninja from time to time being one himself. Before the SNF took over he and Wu handled Garmadon a lot. And because I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t add Sandstorm. Morro and Cole are pinning. He has trained the SNF a few times when Wu was away. He also punched a lot of Lloyds bullies growing up.

Pixal is a normal student at Ninjago High. She’s still a Nindroid but juts blends in. Much like Pixal in the Show she isn’t a part of the team yet. Eventually she becomes the movies first and only Samurai X. Before the events of the movie happen, Pixal is one of the few students not bullying the ninja. She isn't really their friend but she treats them like every other person. She only gets really involved after the movie when she has a project with Nya and she slowly joins their group.

Echo is the second nindroid Dr Julien built, like in canon, but he also intended to be much younger. He’s a normal kid and won’t go through the trauma of being abandoned and turned into Mr E like in the show. Also, less biker vibes when he get older. He's a happy and very energetic child. He loves his big brother a lot.

And a little fun fact/headcanon you may have noticed. The show ninja all wear different shoes while the movie cast has the same ones. Up until season 7 the show ninja also wore the same ones per Wus request and him getting them the gear. In the timeskip between season 7 and 8, they get their own shoes. Ones they feel most comfortable in. Once Wu is back to normal he doesn’t force them to wear the same shoes. They are good enough ninja not to decide on their own. Event he movie ninja are older, they’ll also begin to wear different shoes.
