Let me tell you about hubris. Many a grown adult oft forget that the courtesies of our world span farther than that of our own species. In many ways, a mutual agreement can be forged between various animals, to live in peace with one another - but in our special circumstance, to also respect their credence to existence, as mutual living creatures all sharing one home. That is why, I derive such pleasures seeing a cranky snapping turtle chomp on the fingers of some disrespectful oaf - a man who might forget his place, in the ecological respect. Oh hoh. Quite the chomp it usually is too!

Ok so BASICALLY ✨✨

Angela Roberts-Yu was an astronaut working for NASA. She never felt like she really fit in on earth. She doesn’t really like people, and has a hard time making friends. So when the opportunity comes up to go on a solo mission to space, she takes it. While on a moonwalk, a portal opens up, sucks her in, and dumps her on the opposite side of the galaxy and leaves her floating.

Now the interesting part is that these wormholes are actually the work of a disgraced Space Diety—Chaos (the black spooky goopy thing)— who was banished from this plane of existence long ago for being evil ykyk.

The wormholes are Chaos trying to break through to our world again. BUT he can’t do it alone. He needs an avatar.

So every so often—a lot often actually— he tries to hitch a ride on the soul of a living being. Every attempt before this has failed, but Angela is a success and he latches on to her soul.

Angela gets rescued by a cargo ship owned by Captain Mordicondor Agapé and the Arora Crew—a ragtag group of alien outlaws on the run from the space government. Captain Mordicondor is such a dad and physically cannot stop adopting sad children so he takes her in.

And Angela learns that it’s not that she doesn’t like people, it’s just she hadn’t met the right ones yet. And the Arora crew help her flourish and become like her family. 😭

But of course Chaos is like super evil and gaining power by the day and sometimes takes her over?? And makes her do bad stuff?? Idk the middle is sort of muddled.

I’ve had the Arora crew as OCs since like middle school and a lot of the lore and plotline are stupid so I’m retconning and redesigning a lot of this. Lore subject to change.

But yeah! I’ve got so many of these lil guys taking up my brain space 😈 please ask me about them oddly enough this actually helps me get the lore out of my head and written down

Might be grilled on this one, so I'm putting it on here:

Hunter and Fennec Shand should NOT get shipped together.

There's zero romantic potential between these two.

They lowkey hate each other. If they had to work together, they would, like disgruntled colleagues. And they respect each other from a professional standpoint, and the other would be lying if they didn't admit to being impressed.

Because Hunter was this close to punching her in the teeth while Fennec just barely tolerated him.

And while I can see them getting along, I think it would end in fisticuffs and broken bones. The moment they get the chance to drag the other in the dirt, they will seize it with both hands. They'll do anything to annoy each other.

In short: The sibling-rivalry is strong with this lot, your honor.
