if you could give one tip to an amateur artist (aka not complete newbie but not great either), what would it be?

ANATOMY ANATOMY ANATOMY

It doesn’t matter if you can render like freaking Michelangelo, if you’re anatomy’s off it’ll still look wonky.

Don’t study from anime screenshots either, look at real life! You gotta understand how the human body fits together in order to stylize it.

(That is, if you’re drawing humanoids. If you’re doing furries or aliens or whatever you can go ape with that. Although even then anatomy practice will do you good.)

I mean I just found poses on Pinterest and studied those. You can honestly find references wherever tho. Fill a page. Fill ten pages. Scribble the guy you see at the coffee shop on a napkin.

biggest mystery in all of ninjago is how the fuck the ninja have any funding. are they paid by the government? do they work separate jobs? how the fuck is wu able to afford new outfits each season?

Ok I watched the first few episodes. Some thoughts:

Why does it feel like everyone is on crack all the time

Why are they useless hasn’t splinter been teaching them ANYTHING?

Also why does he call them by their colors and not their names :(

Amazing character designs. Love the different species of turtles 10/10

April is amazing but she needs to sit down oh my god child where are your parents

I feel like the writers leaned a little TOO far into the whole “ah teenagers are actually dumb” thing. Because holy cow. Oh my god these children are going to kill themselves
